Lou I'm so sorry for this random thought but I had to leave it out in the open: remember that ask whose premise was a role swap between L and the hunter?

Just, what would they have thought of the 'puppet corpse' the Vicar brought, of her words about a celestial seemingly taking the hunter as their spouse?

"They're what?" Leith's one brow raises in interrogation as they pin the vicar with their stare, dark as night.

"A concubine."

It starts as a mere twitch in Leith's eye, their body perfectly still, hunched as they are over the body of the hunter like a mother of dragons protecting her young. There's a hitch in their breath as their eyes flicker to the hunters dead gaze, and then they start to rumble from deep within their chest, something terrible prowling in there, begging to be let out. Their eyes slowly travel back to meet the vicars, wanting nothing but to wipe the smug smile off her face. Without thinking, Leith flings a knife that grazes her serpentine torso before lodging into a pew. There’s a beat of stunned silence even as the knife rattles and the guards stiffen into readiness.

And then she laughs. Like it's genuinely funny. If Leith had any less self preservation, they'd plunge another knife into the vicars throat and listen to her gurgle, and then they'd laugh, too. They'd laugh and laugh and laugh.

Instead Leith clenches their jaw and hefts the weight of the hunter into their arms silently, as if it's no matter at all; as if their knees aren't buckling and their chest isn't being torn in two. They turn on their heel, walking out. The vicar snickers, stopping her guards with a waggle of her fingers.

She won't hear the promise Leith whispers into the deaf ears of the hunter. But she knows. Leith will stop at nothing to find them again.

Leith buries the hunter beneath the tree they once climbed together as younglings, placing a palm against the trunk as if they could bleed it for memories. They kiss the earth where the hunter lay, and [whatever flower you associate with your hunter] begins to grow there the second they do. It breaks what little sanity Leith has left to see the first sprout break through the loose dirt, to then recognizing the bloom, and they rise then, slowly- like a new metamorphosis- they set their jaw and check their knives and then they walk into the forest, one simple goal in mind: to find what's theirs and take it back. Whatever it takes.

This question is for the funni because I genuinely wanna know.....what are your favorite ships amongst your ocs?

I'm a weird one when it comes to ships--- I'ma gab a bit since it's been awhile since I've gotten a question òvó

If I'm feeling bored with no particular interest in a story setting, my ships are usually Elise with my fav characters! She's my favorite girl, I love drawing her as much as my dorky guys, and I love to see her with my characters or other people's characters PFF

Oswald, Sevel, my Bogeyman... or if I'm feeling toxic, her and Cain (and Reverie). I always have shipped her sorta with Felix (the doll guy), and Barnaby. She also loves strong pretty (and sweet cute) gals too. Characters like Gremory in In Between fluster her to pieces.

Story-wise, she has no ships. In Knell, she cares and loves many, but in a very strong bond that is platonic. She cares about the Orderlies, and the patients like Annie and Martin and even that darn Reginald, she cares about Ben and loves Sing, and she adores Oswald as he adores her. But there isn't love or shipping (unless I indulge in cute things), but there ARE actual love stories within Knell.

In In Between, it is also the same. Her relationship with Archeron or Parley is very tight knit. They are her guardians and she loves them both dearly but not in a make-out kinda way haha. A platonic love is her usual more common relationship!

I do have other cute ships in many stories but mainly just Elise is my favorite. She makes me happy. uvu

Satu bulan di Taipei

Setelah harusnya berangkat Februari, di kasih worst case jd ikut Joint degree gak, pusing dan minta pertimbangan sana-sini. Here me now, sudah sebulan hidup di Taipei.

Kampus yang aku ketahui ketika tahun kedua kuliah, TMU. Salah satu kampus yg masuk wishlist sekolah selain unimelb dan unsw *yaa mimpi aja dulu kali yaa.. meskipun S2-ku di kampus yg sama lagi dan cukup butuh waktu berdamai buat acceptance krn pertimbangan byk hal, salah satunya kesehatan.

Beneran! Kejadian belum se-bulan tinggal di Taipei, udah periksa ke obsgyn TMU Hospital buat check endometriosis krn haid. Worry harusnya udh minum obat hormon ga haid, tp semenjak sakit DBD sblm berangkat haid lagi. Ternyata its okay dan di resepin anti perdarahan.

Keluarga dan teman-teman asli pasti khawatir ttg kesehatanku terutama disini. Entah kenapa semenjak sekolah lagi, di uji yg namanya "sehat" bolak-balik ke obsgyn, impaksi 4 gigi, DBD, dokter sp.kk, alergi kulit h-1 uts. Wkwk cukup challenging.

Sebulan adaptasi byk hal yg bikin kageet

Beli apapun disini jgn dirupiahin beda jauhh harganya, kemana-mana bawa botol kosong untuk cebok krn ga ada bidet, kuat jalan 10.000-20.000 langkah perhari hal yg biasa, air isi ulang di kampus dan mrt adaa, transumnya oke bgt dan tertata tepat waktu, buang sampah pake jam sesuai kedatangan truck sampah dan hrs pake plastik berlogo bisa dibeli di sevel, kartu id card ajaib yg bisa dipake naik transum, bayar sevel, boba, akses ke perpus dan kampus. Perpusnyaa buka sampai malam dan sabtu minggu buka, setiap sore di kampus beragam olahragaa ada, ga ada uts uas adanya tugas presentasi dan paper. Setiap minggu sekali ada lab meeting sm Prof brsm anak" yg sebimbingan. Dosen disini dari segi memuji dan memberi apresiasi baguss banget sampai takjub kalo sering di bilang "Good Job" bener" membimbing dgn baik.

Sebulan disini byk pertolongan dari org" yg kutemui entah bestian sama mba"tkw di belanjain ke pasar, di kasih gorengan sm ibu tkw tetangga apartement, di gratisin print sm akung", di buangin sampah sama kakek", di anter ke apartemen sm Ibu baik hati, ibu kost yg baikk pernah hujan2 anterin kunci krn kunciku ketinggalan di kamar. Ke Px mart di bawain belanjaan ke dalam pas hujan sm mas kasirnya biar ak bisa belanja. Di Shuang Ho dianterin pak satpam ke kelas dan selalu di sapa. Pengen udang hbs itu bbrp hari dpt nasi sayur gudangan lauk udang. Pengen pepayaa, bbrp hari dikasih mbak samping kamar pepaya. Dpt lungsuran barang" mbak kos sebelumnya jd ndak perlu beli printilan. Dpt lungsuran alat makan juga dari Mb Vivii. Anak PPI TMU yg helpfull dan baik hatii. Di cariin dan dianterin beli laptop sm Amir dan Eva krn lepiku udh udzur wkwk. Staf perpus yg membantu install dan tanya ini itu dibantu. Di tawarin ikut course JCI sm Prof management health. Ketemuu berbagai kalangan yg bener" bisa jd panutan dan inspirasi. Ga sengaja waktu maem bekal ngobrol sm Pak Wartawan yg lagi Ph.D beliau insightfull sekalii di komporin buat sekolah S3 aamiin Ya Allah. Begitupun hari ini ketemu Prof.Roro beliau jg ngendika seperti itu "saya suka liat anak yg suka sekolah". Ibu bangeet pokoknyaa.

Meskipun hari-hari selalu mikir mau maem apa atau masak apa ya hari ini, ga ada dapur jd masaknya pake magic jar dan panci listrik. Proudd of me bisa survive krn bantuan 2 benda tersebut😂

Terimakasih untuk Abah Mama yg sudah ridho dan support memfasilitasi anaknya yg banyak mau dan hobinya sekolah ini. Terimakasih joint degree UGM TMU yg bikin program ini jd selain bisa ikut course Nursing, bisa ikut course Global health/public health & management health 2 jurusan yg aku tertarik sblm ambil nursing😂Terimakasih beasiswa TMU boleh ya sekolah disini sampai Ph.D (?) Hehee aamiin Ya Allah. Hey, hi and hello, it's @brick-enthusiast coming at you from the sideblog again!

As part of a friendly agreement with @things-about-cars-in-posts, I am here to introduce another race car.

You know Peugeot? In recent years, the French brand is probably best known for fighting tooth and nail to shake a reputation of dullness. However, you've probably heard - or perhaps you remember - that Peugeot used to be a whole lot more cool.

Well, this story takes place a little bit after that. Less than a year after the last story I told, in fact, in 1995. And the similarities between the two don't end there.

The car in question is the then-new Peugeot 806.

By all means a run-of-the-mill, boring people carrier, unveiled in 1994.

PSA Group had co-developed it with Fiat, so it was also sold as a Citroen, a Lancia and a Fiat.

(As you may remember from a recent post by @things-about-cars-in-posts!)

Anyway! Peugeot wanted to do something to promote their version of the so-called Eurovan. Someone, half-jokingly, suggested to take it to the racetrack.

That someone was Pascal Witmauer, the man in charge of Peugeot's advertising in Belgium, as well as marketing for the Belgian Procar racing series. Peugeot's "promotional event" was set to be 1995's running of the Spa 24 Hours.

A 24-hour endurance race, yes.

A 24-hour endurance race that was happening at the end of July. It was May.

The project was handed over to Kronos Racing, a Belgian racing team that would go on to build successful Peugeots and Citroens for the circuit as well as dirt. And well, they did complete it.

As much as a parts-bin-special it might have been, the Peugeot 806 Procar was a serious racing machine. Its interior was stripped of anything non-essential, the 8 factory seats were replaced by a single carbon bucket and a roll cage.

The engine and drivetrain were a mix of parts from the 306 Maxi rally car and the outgoing 405 Mi16 circuit racer, while the then-new 406 Supertourisme donated a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The van's speed certainly didn't lag behind. It qualified 12th overall and third(!) in its class. Not to mention that it certainly stood out in a field full of contemporary BMW 3-series and French hot hatchbacks.

By the start of the race, the big white box was already the crowd favorite. Pascal Witmeur (who also happened to be one of the 806's three drivers) recounts:

“Every time we passed by Raidillon¹, people were applauding. The public liked it, because apart from being atypical, it was often on two wheels!"

Unfortunately, mechanical issues didn't take long to show up. The team ran into brake problems an hour into the race. The engine itself gave out before the 10-hour mark, leading to a DNF for the Peugeot.

Not that it mattered to the public though. The touring van single-handedly improved the image of all MPV's² - not just the French-Italian quadruplets. Peugeot of Belgium had 5000 posters printed - all of which were given away signed by Witmeur.

"For a few hours, I was more more famous than Johnny Hallyday³!"

he laughs, admitting it was likely that many workers from Peugeot's local Sevel Nord⁴ factory came to see the race.

The very same Peugeot 806 Procar is still around to this day. After the race, it was reportedly kept by one Jean-Pierre Montron - founder of Kronos Racing - until his passing. It went up for sale in 2020 (wherein it had a bunch of articles I could use as sources written about it) and again in late 2022, when it failed to sell at auction.
