Mini-review:

I was really curious about this movie, since Mari Okada has written and/or directed some pretty amazing stories, and the promotional materials and trailers looked very interesting. However, I can't say I liked it as much as I expected. I did love how ambitious the film is in terms of concept and themes, and the animation definitely lives up to the Mappa standard. In particular, the final act includes some truly stunning visuals. Unfortunately, I just couldn't connect with these characters, and I didn't find any of them likeable or interesting. Therefore, this movie doesn't even come close to the emotional wallop delivered by the ending of Okada's previous directorial work, the beautiful Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms. So yeah, Maboroshi is well-made, but rather disappointing.

I just saw this post from Setsuji Sato (Alastor's JP Seiyuu)'s tweet, where he broke his chopsticks and he said "Nanigatta? Ku..kuso." A reference to Alastor's quote where he broke his staff (OG: What just happened? Fuck)

Revelada fecha para la versión Blu-ray de la trilogía de películas de Cyborg 009 Call of Justice.

Las películas de la trilogía se estrenaron en noviembre y diciembre del año pasado en cines de Japón. 

La web oficial de Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, la trilogía de películas de Anime en 3DCG de TOHO Animation adaptación del Manga Cyborg 009 por Shoutarou Ishinomori, ha revelada la fecha de lanzamiento para sus versiones en disco Blu-ray y DVD: 

La primera película se pondrá a la venta el 18 de mayo en disco Blu-ray y DVD por 7,800 y 6,800 yenes, respectivamente.

La segunda película se pondrá a la venta el 21 de junio en disco Blu-ray y DVD por 7,800 y 6,800 yenes, respectivamente.

La tercera película se pondrá a la venta el 19 de julio en disco Blu-ray y DVD por 7,800 y 6,800 yenes, respectivamente.

Las tres partes de la trilogía se estrenaron el 25 de Noviembre, el 2 de Diciembre y el 9 de Diciembre del año pasado en cines de Japón.

La banda Monkey Majik puso el tema musical de las películas titulado "A.I. am Human".

La historia se centrará en Joe Shimamura y otros cyborgs luchando contra el Bresudo, un grupo de personas que poseen poderes sobrehumanas e intelecto, y han manipulado la historia humana desde la antigüedad. Sus objetivos son desconocidos, y ellos proyectan una sombra oscura sobre el mundo. Aunque algunas personas creen en la existencia de la Bresudo, un periodista estadounidense llamado Lucie Davenport se dirige a Texas para ponerse en contacto con una determinada familia, y se encuentra con los cyborgs. Los cyborgs mismos han sido liberados de su obligación de proteger a la humanidad desde el establecimiento de las tropas guardia de la ONU, y que ahora llevan una vida sencilla de paz y tranquilidad.

Kenji Kamiyama esta acreditado como director en jefe del proyecto. Koudai Kakimoto dirigirá las películas.Kamiyama Kakimoto previamente colaboro en la película de 009 Re:Cyborg, donde Kamiyama dirigió y Kakimoto sirvió como directo de unidad. Signal.MD el estudio de animación subsidiario de I.G Port, se encargará de animar la película, con Ishinomori Production y Production I.G encargados de la producción. Masatsugu Saitou esta diseñando los personajes.

Ishinomori lanzó el Manga de Cyborg 009 en la revista Weekly Shonen King en 1964, y la serie permaneció sin terminar debido a su muertew en 1998. Tres serie de Anime para televisión adaptaron el Manga de Cyborg 009 estrenada en 1968, 1979, y 2001. Cuatro películas de Anime también adaptaron la serie en 1966, 1967, 1980, y 2012. Kenji Kamiyama dirigió la más reciente película de la franquicia, 009 Re:Cyborg.

A special illustration by Zombieland Saga’s chief animation director, Sai Fumihide, to commemorate the showing of the French zombie horror-comedy film, Final Cut ( Coupez ! ) as the opening film for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Final Cut is the French-language remake of the popular 2017 Japanese zombie horror-comedy film One Cut of the Dead (カメラを止めるな!, "Don't Stop the Camera!"), which Sai Fumihide also drew a parody illustration of with Zombieland Saga in 2019. Kotono Mitsuishi (the voice of Tae Yamada), Minami Tanaka (the voice of Lily Hoshikawa) and Setsuji Sato (the voice of Death Metal Fan B) all worked on the Japanese dub of the film Final Cut.
