Imagine baking cookies for the Wolf Pack:

   Hearing the beep of the oven, you sprung into action. As you pulled on a set of oven mitts, you could hear the fast approaching footsteps. It was not everyday that you baked cookies from scratch, much less so many batches.    The heat of the oven engulfed your face when you opened the door to retrieve the trays from the racks. Closing the door and turning around, you nearly spilled the cookies.    “Did you guys gain the ability to teleport while you were out running around?” You asked when you found yourself faced with a group of eager wolf shifters.    They laughed as you set the trays of cookies down on the counter.    “Nah, we’re just really fast,” said Quil.    You laughed as you took off the oven mitts. “Yeah, in wolf form.”    “We’re still fast!” Jared defended.    “We’ll show you, watch this,” Embry said, reaching for a cookie.    “Ah-ah!” You swatted at his hand.

   “Hey~” he frowned; the others laughing or otherwise looking for an opportunity.    “No. They’re right out of the oven. Let them see the light of day for ten seconds!”    There was a pause, and you could only assume what they had in-mind.    “Ten,” Paul smirked.    “No.”    A few of them frowned. “Why not?”    “Yeah, it’s not like we’ll burn our tongues off,” Jared crossed his arms.    “They said ‘no’.” Leah called over the boys. “And the more you ask, the longer you’ll have to wait.”    “And didn’t we just eat?” Jacob said, leaning against the wall.    “Have you ever had the cookies that they make? They’re amazing!” Seth piped up, finally getting a word in.    You froze in thought. “Wait, really? I thought you all just wanted to eat whatever food was accessible.”    Quil shrugged. “I mean, yeah, but we really like your baking too.”    “Aww, you guys.”

  “So~…can we have one now?”

No elaborate explanation for this, and disclaimer I’m an a.postate and H.indu w.itch and former L.utheran/P.resbyterian I’m critical of all institutions but I think C.hristians as people aren’t actually bad, any religion taken to any extreme can be bad, but that is not an excuse to generalize. Also, I just thought @musicboxmemories edit was cool and I wanted the same energy different ‘narrative conclusion.’ Also, I @honorhearted have talked too much about Tallmadge’s faith and faiths greater role in the American Revolution either driving people as it does now to aspire for better (Benjamin Tallmadge) or make them far worse (divine right of kings), so on and so fourth.

Cannabites had been something of unique experience for the demon, not an unwanted one. He could give less for the owner of the establishment, but he knew that Seth loitered around these parts because of him. After his interaction with the owner he went on back to his search though with as much effort as he usually put into doing things. Moving through the crowd of people he'd lazily scan the faces surrounding him until they landed on who he was looking for. When their eyes met he signalled with his head towards the door, the exit, before heading towards it and slipping out.

He was leaning against the facade when the witch showed himself as he exited the building. Grimshaw holding a glass he'd been given before he left, watching the liquid swirl around the glass as the other came close. "Nauseating, isn't it? All this festive spirit is ironic for such a place like this." He'd say, keeping his gaze on his glass as he thought. A sigh leaving his lips before he downed the rest of what was inside, "But any excuse to drink and be an annoyance is good enough for me."
