god I really want to ramble about the weird similarities between Canon Arlecchino and my fic's version of Colombina. The 4th Harbingers/their death motifs/the whole fire in their veins thing/etc (even in a way their relationship with Ajax... sort of), but spoilers, so many spoilers for my fic haha. There's one thing in particular I'm like how the hell did that work out like that, but I can't talk about it because it's literally one of Bina's biggest spoilers lol. I just have so many thoughts about how they are weirdly parallel to each other, but have some distinct differences that sound fun to discuss. But tragically, I must wait until I actually get to that part of the fic. One day, one day.

Lately I’ve learned that the most cost effective way to practice at least basic knife skills is by making variations of fruit salad. I’m getting better! And also eating more fruit! A win-win!

I'm trying to find a way to safely dispose of my old non-stick pans bc we dont feel comfortable using them anymore and everwhere is like just put them in the garbage or donate them!
And... I'm like... these are practically toxic waste I'm not gonna do either of those options.
#my mother in law has very generously gifted us a set of stainless steel Calphalon pots and pans#which i fully intend to use for the rest of my life#almost all of our baking and cooking stuff was passed down to us from my husband's grandma#we have a lot of old pyrex and the like#so now we just need to deal with these damn Teflon coated shit x_x

please mourn with me as i sit through my one-week waiting period for the replacement glass to my french press to arrive
#it was in a somewhat precarious position drying out before i prepped coffee#and my husband knocked it off and it just. Smashed instantly upon the floor#this is only the second time it's broken since at least 2016 so i don't feel the need to accept a stainless press into my life#we'll see how the next few years go with new kid incoming and toddle maybe being given a little bit of freedom in the kitchen (MAYBE)#(when i get the counters cleaner i can set her up)

To be far those are BY FAR not the only uses for silicone, but it sure is a choice to use those.
What the fuck is it about crafting games that makes people unable to pronounce the word "silicon"?
I think I've seen three people play Planet Crafter and all of them call the Silicon "Silicone".
Quick refresher:
Silicon: glass and computer chips
Silicone: sex toys and breast implants
If you're stranded on an alien planet with only a crafting toll to save you, you are PROBABLY going to be needing silicon more than silicone. Most likely.
