I like that in RT's official Twitter is where I see more official Sesshomaru and Kagura stuff. They are selling stationery merchandise and chose 6 famous Inuyasha scenes: One of Shippo, one of Miroku, one of Kohaku, two of InuKag and the last one is of Sesshomaru and Kagura.

And it's next to the InuKag merchandise 💕

I remember reading a post on the anti tag stating that sunrise might have been told by higher up not to have any romantic interactions/art for sesshomaru/rin. The poster brought up licensing in Japan and how they are very strict about what is and isn’t allowed to be showed. So it’s make sense that the pedo ship was not allowed to have any romantic scenes or merchandise because of the whole controversy. Sesshomaru and rin throughout yashamine never acted romantic; they reverted back to their old dynamic in inuyasha with sesshomaru ordering rin and rin following his every order. I don’t even think there is any “adult” rin merchandise but it’s all child rin. The only “romantic” interaction that ship got was the calendar made by that animator shipper and even then shipper went onto Twitter to post the version they wanted (it has sesshomaru and rin holding hands) but it was denied so they had a version where sesshomaru and rin was not holding hands.

Clearly some kind of ban was issued, because there hasn't been a single official scene or artwork depicting SessRin romantically. It's possible they realised the ship would cause trouble, so instead of marketing it, they did the bare minimum and made it "canon" in name only. Rin is the mother of the twins in the title cards, but remove those and she might as well be their younger sister, or even the family servant.
