hello, hello! consider this a fiction call for help: anyone fictionhearted/fictionkin, or anyone with a hearthome, this is for you!

Okay hold on - why did I not know that this video was a thing?!!! It's so wholesome to hear Matthew & Erin talk about Quogan!! I need more of that! Also the way they keep referring to their characters as "us" instead of "they" is too cute! Love how passionate they are about Quogan & love that they get along so well in real life! It's a part of why Quogan is still golden after so many years, and why seeing them in the movie was so natural as well! Love Love Love

Non-fiction (Leisure)- Word by Word: The Secret Life of Dictionaries by Kory Stamper and The Billionaire's Vinegar by Benjamin Wallace (it's about wine fraud)

Fiction- direly tempted to, instead of writing my essay, start either In the Watchful City by S. Qiouyi Lu (an extrasensory human, Anima, starts to question ær job maintaining and protecting ær city when a cabinet of curiosities comes to town) (FUN PRONOUNS) or Tentacle by Rita Indiana (trans masc protagonist in the Dominican Republic tries to get transition drug and also prevent environmental disaster with time travel)

Fanfiction- where are they fucking hiding the Star Wars clone shenanigans. This fandom is massive why can't I find more CLONES and (this is important) co-dependence and polyamory. Anakin is a background character unless it gets me more Padme and Obi-wan being considerate and kind translating directly to bottoming has gotten old fast

i'm upset about the monster high animated series not coming back for season 3, but to be honest i'm more annoyed with the toxic g1 stans commenting things like "well obviously it wasn't going to be successful, they should've just made g1 again because that's better!!"

girl, do you have any idea what market research is? do you think the people who worked on g3 just made changes for no reason? no, they tested the products to see what kids liked best, and the fact is that kids today like different things than kids in 2010.

the new show had really positive messages, had such a diverse cast and had non-binary, queer, disability, autism, anxiety, adhd, and aromantic rep that was (imo) done really well and would've helped so many kids. like maybe the show wasn't perfect, but neither were the g1 movies/webisodes, and do you really want to deny kids who are non-white, queer, disabled, and/or neurodivergent from characters who are like them just because you can't handle things not staying exactly the same as they were when you were younger??

UPDATE: apparently there's a chance the show isn't fully cancelled, which if true is great!! the point of my post still stands but i'm adding this so i'm not spreading misinformation before we know the truth for sure
