(Except for when their fused, but they don't talk about that, cuz only a fool would say no to Vegito or Gogeta) Vidal is half of Gohan's everything (Was was his everything before their precious daughter was born) Mai is Trunk's Future Hayase Nagatoro and Naoto Hachioji are the oddest couple I've ever love. Naruto and Hinata are a ship all others should strive to be (Also Tsunade, if Naruto's personal Gilf and Hinata needs a hand cuz let's face it Naruto is a walking gangbang, hell throw Shizune and Naruto's many Movie Waifus into that mix too. Maybe even Sarada just to throw a little age gap in the mix) Shikamaru and Temari are just too damn cute together for me to accept anything else. Karui Akimichi may be sorta bitchy but honest to god lets face facts she loves Choji and more importantly we know for a fact he can make parts of his body WAY bigger... Let that sink in. She is for sure a Size Queen. Gojou and Kitagawa from 'My Dress Up Darling' and if we're being honest it's cuz Gojou is just too fucking adorble of a man and a hell of a artisan. Ichijo and Orihime, I've loved this ship since forever and nothing and nobody will convince me otherwise. Bleaches best couple in my opinion. Kaguya-sama: Love Is War has made it in my mind that Shirogane/ Kaguya and Miko and Yuu are simply too pure and perfect to be with anyone else.

Ash and Serena, I never thought I would be invested in a love story in Pokémon of all series, but here we are.

INUYASHA, KAGOME AND KIKIYO, fuck anyone and everyone who can adore the former and feel bad for the later girl. The only solace is that as her reincarnation that at least to some extent Kikyo is with Inuyasha. Also Moroha is the best part of Yashahime, hands down without doubt

I can't stop thinking about Serena being super protective of a pregnant Shadowheart. Just so attentive to her needs, giving massages and insisting that she rests when needed, staying by her side and keeping an arm around her in public eyeing anyone suspicious, kissing her belly when they cuddle. Just a loyal knight taking care of her precious wife

Me too 😭 If she was gentle before…my god, her touches become feather-light. Shadowheart has to beg her to be a *little* less gentle with her sometimes lmao.

Genuinely believe she almost stops sleeping altogether when they get the news. She’s up throughout the nights on watch for any Shar fuckery. She gets up early and sneaks away from Shadowheart- by the time Shadowheart wakes up, the early morning chores are always done, Arnell and Emmeline have been checked on (though they’re usually more productive than Shadowheart and Tav lmao). Also I think Tav’s mother will be around by this point- so extra help!!

Tav’s just a woman bewitched. She never got to have a traditional family growing up- one that was kind to her, at any rate. They’re near inseparable. She rubs Shadowheart down with oils and draws her hot baths when feasible. She learns to make Shadowheart’s favorite dishes from Emmeline to help cravings. She kisses Shadowheart’s belly and sings so softly to the baby. If she’s making love to Shadowheart she’s treating her like she’s made of glass lol. (Again, Shadowheart protests)

When they’re out in the city (which Tav does not love bc there are potential threats everywhere) she’s constantly on watch. She’s a literal knight (I have it in my story planning notes that she’d technically be a Cormyr Purple Dragon- bc she had to serve there), so it’s just in her DNA at this point. Shadowheart is her cause, now, and for the rest of her days.

Shadowheart probably grows exasperated by her behavior sometimes- (“I’m a former assassin, Serena, I do not need assistance crossing a busy street!”) but she knows what this all means to Tav. Tav often apologizes and tells her she’s just so excited to have “another little Shadowheart” to love and Shart rightly shuts up after that because it’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever told her 🥹💕

oh boy back to the remembrancers, Ostian is going to visit Serena her studio is a mess, she's a mess as uh you might have guessed ostian: it smells like something died in here he starts looking around and she starts crying and pleads for him to leave oh no i hope this isn't going where i think it is ostian is attempting to comfort her and stage an intervention, but, well, it's not working

he GOT OUT OF IT ALIVE i thought he was a goner for sure his whole rant is…it feels a bit weird i mean i guess it make sense? but it doesn't seem like it fits back to Eldrad so they were shadowing the EC the whole time all the worlds are Eldar maiden worlds, and when they saw they were just leaving them be, they left them alone, but they would have attacked otherwise okay that's the restraint Eldrad was talking about earlier they talk a bit about arrogance and destiny and eldrad perhaps by virtue of being not written about much here, is definitely coming off as one of the better characters in the book whether he's being written as the Eldrad is another thing fulgrim: so what's the real issue anyways eldrad fills in fulgrim about how horus got stabbed by a spicy knife and is dying eldrad: let's hope he does

I love how Sycamore has like NO REAL reaction to Lysandre's actions (because he doesn't care much about him in the anime) meanwhile in our rp server we made the PWI one of the most heartwrenching event ever for him.

The Serena arc was a bit quickly ended in my opinion. But I still liked seeing her rivals coming in to tell her to win for them. That was neat.

My opinion hasn't changed: I think Amourshipping is very onesided. Again, no shade to the shippers, it's really cute! But man, Ash really is not interested in the slightest and they don't even TRY to have the shippy moment. Serena is about to dance with Ash? Nope music stops! Serena is going on a date with Ash? Nope he ditches her halfway through and it highlights how different they are.

I liked the "Ash brooding arc" after his defeat against the 8th gym leader. Idk, I feel like it was well set up. It wasn't like JUST the defeat but tons of stuff piling up!

Ash getting so far in the league was nice! Though the league REALLY went fast. Though we all know that was because it wasn't the ACTUAL finale of the series and the real one is just that cool!

My heart fucking stopped when Lysandre let himself fall from the Prismatic Tower. Like. I genuinely couldn't believe pokemon had done that. They did brush it off quickly and he came back but oh my god that was STILL very impactful.

Anyways! My overall thoughts on XY is that WOAH it REALLY turns around in XYZ! It was sorta boring, but still ok, in XY but XYZ is genuinely a pretty awesome pokemon series!!

As for the movies, I watched all of them.

The first one really has for highlight the thieves. Like the rest of it is... Eh... But I really loved the two thieves ending up together :)) I'm sure they stole those clothes/rings!

The second one was... It kinda looked like a child walked into the animation studio and took their figurines of the legendaries and just clashed them together and the director said GENIUS!!! I do think the grandpa had a badass design but like they lost me at "Ash and his friends decided to take a break ***in the desert***" like *excuse me*. H-how- d-does the studio think France is right next to the United Arab Emirates (if I am not mistaken the city is VERY HEAVILY inspired by Dubai though I might just be dumb). Idk how to feel about the charadesigns and everything, not really my place to judge considering it's not my culture though I did think the designs were REALLY clashing with Ash and co. It kinda felt like they walked into an entirely new region that was not very refined. The highlight of the movie for me was to watch Groudon sink into the water, struggling to stay in and then he HAD TO WALK ALL THE WAY HOME! Like DAMN OOPA ! GIVE THE MAN A DAMN LIFT!! Ah, and of course Oopa going "Ponstaa" when trying to say "Pokemon Masutaa". I was in tears because I am an immature man-child.

Finally the last movie with Volcanion was... Genuinely awesome actually! A new form of mega evolution was introduced (forced), the city's design was honestly super fun, Volcanion's relationship with Magearna was cute af, Volcanion in general was awesome (god poor Ash) and LOTS OF DRAMA HAPPENED! YESSSS!

Anyyywaysss I guess that's my point of view for all the content of Pokemon XY(Z) hahaha!

5x07 : No Man's Land (My POV)

In S1E10, June and Nick learn they will become parents. In S2E11, Holly was born. So 11 episodes later.

In S4E02, Serena learns she is pregnant. In S5E07, Noah was born. So 15 episodes later.

Flashback - Part 1. At Gilead, Serena and Offred assist to a birth for the first time since June arrived at the Waterfords house. It is curious that June did not come with the others handmaids in the birthmobile. Moreover, whereas OfClarence and Clarence's wife are in labour, it seems that June and Serena share a sort of complicity by the absurdity of the scene. Which is a complete joke. The writers tried to create something between these two, something who never existed.

Flashback - Part 2. OfClarence's fate is sealed. The delivery has complications. The doctor performs a caesarean section in front of the others handmaids who praying. The child's life is precious. Not the vessel. The wifes do not care about the fate of the handmaid, they only care about the baby who is alive and healthy. Except one: Serena Joy Waterford who seems saddened. Are we supposed to buy this s***?

In No Man's Land. On the run Serena is in labor and risks killing June by accident. Nevertheless, together they walk to a barn nearby of the car which is stuck in the mud. But Serena refuses June's help: Get away from me. You are trying to kill me and my baby! So this latter leaves and managed to get the car out of the ravine.

June comes back to the barn and helps Serena to give birth to a baby boy: Noah. A biblical name. Four letters who means peace and rest. We can also see two pigeons who symbolize sacrifice and devotion to God. They are a symbol of peace.

Serena prays June to leave her alone in the barn and to take baby Noah with her. But June does not hear it that way, because they are not at Gilead. Because she is not Serena. Because there is no question of depriving a child of a mother ...

In Toronto. Luke joins June at the hospital. Ready to back home, they see the Canadian Immigration arrive for Serena. Luke called them to take his revenge. Noah will be entrusted into the Child Protection Unit. But the big questions are: Did he have the right to do this? Was it up to him to take revenge on Serena?

I know there are pros and cons. I can understand both sides. The problem for me is: He decided alone and he behaves as Gilead people. He is not the only one who lost a child. They are two. But he decided for June, just like: "My kid - My decision".

Fun Fact: - Serena's room number at the hospital is 211. - June gave birth to Holly in S2E11.

If I am not wrong, the writers decided to save Serena's life because she became a mother? That wipes the slate clean? Personally, I really hope her case will be settle in season 6, mother or not mother. Because Serena is and will be always Serena. As soon as she regains some power, she will become the woman we know again.

In season 5, she just experienced a fraction of what a handmaid goes through daily. Are we supposed to forget that she imprisoned, beat and raped June? That she convinced Fred to rape June at nine month of pregnancy? All of this is unforgivable. Never mind that she claims. She does not deserve forgiveness.

Do not tell me they will make with Serena Joy Waterford a 180° in season 6.

The Sacrifice Part 3: Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader

You have until sundown.

Without Geto or Gojo around, things are quiet. No one comes to visit. It’s just you, Clymentestra, Helen, Serena, Danai, and Ariadne wandering around or making small talk in the alcoves of the Temple, while you wait for the sun to sink below the sky and bring you immortality. The Temple... That’s what you decided to call it. Cly called it something like “The Everlasting Residence of His Holiness, Geto Suguru, The Dragon God of blah blah blah...”, but saying “the Temple” was much easier for you and your brain to handle.

You discovered the following interesting rooms in your snooping session earlier: a set of bathrooms that were exactly identical to each other on opposite ends of a hallway, a room filled to the brim with books that you couldn’t read, a locked door that lead to a dungeon (you suspected), and another room filled with portraits of beings you didn’t know. Well, except Megumi. Megumi was in there, looking just like he did when you met him the day before. Boring.

Now, you’re just waiting on someone to come and find you to tell you that Geto is back, or that lunch is ready. Whichever comes first. But as you wait, thoughts of your impending transfer from mortal to immortal cloud your mind. Would every day be like this? Gossip with the others, wait for Geto to command you around, then sleep?

Is that what eternal life held for you?

Your train of thought is carried away on the wind when you see something blue and green winding its way down from the sky and into the field in front of the temple, followed by a white dragon.

Gojo… and…? You consider running down to the field to greet them, but your feet won’t move. Clymenestra doesn’t come to fetch you, so it’s not an urgent matter, you assume. Or she’s keeping you hidden, your mind whispers, and you remember the interaction from the day before:

“Don’t go blabbing your mouth to your stupid father, either. Geto would prefer to keep her under wraps for now.”

Did this have anything to do with your lack of immortality? And why is Geto so hell-bent on you becoming immortal, anyway? You ponder upon all of this as you toss open the doors to your chambers and walk down the left hallway, towards the dining hall. On the way there, you pass the locked door again, and for a moment, you press your ear to the wood to see if you can hear anything inside.

Nothing.

You straighten up, then enter the dining hall moments later, coming face to face with Gojo, who is sitting across from a pink-haired youth. “Oh,” Gojo stands, and smiles tightly, his eyes darting to the doors behind you. “Wrong room, darling. The kitchen is back there,” he prods, pushing you out of the dining room quickly and into the corridor to the kitchen, the youth’s eyes following you.

“Gojo, I have a ques--”

“Can it wait? Listen, you’re not supposed to be out of your rooms right now. And where the hell is Cly?” he hisses, looking about with a raised brow.

“Who is that in the dining room?”

“It doesn’t matter right now,” Gojo retorts tersely, removing his hand from your arm. “You need to stay in your rooms until Geto comes back. If he knows Yuji saw you, he’d be--”

“Can you at least tell me why Geto wants me to become immortal so badly?”

“No!” Gojo yells, staring at you intensely. “It’s enough that Megumi knows about you. Just do as I say or both of our asses will get hung out to dry, got it?” You shrink away from the angry man and brush past him to go back to your rooms immediately. When you sit on your bed and examine your bruised arm, you wonder why everyone is so secretive. It’s possible that you would glean more information upon your turn from human into immortal, but you can’t wait that long.

Or at least, you don’t want to.

But you’re forced to.

Lunch doesn’t come for another three hours, and by that time, you’ve lost any semblance of an appetite. So when Serena sits the offerings down in front of you, you just turn away and watch the sea tide roll in and out, like the thoughts rolling in and out of your mind.

“Where’s Cly?” you ask, and Selene inhales deeply.

“She’s away. The God of Death has called upon her.” You spin around in your seat, frowning deeply.

“She’s dying?”

“No,” Serena wipes her shaking green hands on her dress, and looks away from you. “His Omnipresence calls upon her from time to time for… entertainment.” By the looks of Serena’s expression, you don’t want to know what she means by that word, nor do you want to ask any further questions.

“Why does Geto allow this?” you whisper, but Serena bites her lip.

“He doesn’t know.” That’s all you need to hear. You turn back around, feeling your emotions stir inside of your stomach. “You should eat something before the ceremony,” she adds, but you shake your head.

“I’m not hungry.”

You fall asleep in that chair, only awakening when you’re lightly tapped on the shoulder by someone behind you. When you look up, you meet the soft eyes of Clymenestra, and you wonder how she’s doing before releasing she’s holding a red and gold robe in her hands.

“Get dressed and meet me in the hallway,” she whispers in the semi-darkness. You take the garment and she leaves the room silently, allowing you to disrobe in private. Once you’re redressed, you exit your room and meet Cly in the hallway.

As you follow her to an unknown destination, your heart pounds wildly in your chest, and you can feel nervousness gnawing away at your resolve. Could you back out of this? Or was it too late? All answers pointed to “too late” as your feet make contact with the warm sand of the beach behind the Temple. There, gathered in the sand, are Geto, Gojo, and the other four women.

Geto is half-clothed and holding a piece of parchment paper - only his lower body is covered in solid black kun pants, but his chest is covered in black swirls and symbols that you can’t decipher. Gojo is dressed similarly, his chest smeared in silver paint, and you wonder what everything stands for. But your curiosity is short-lived when your back is to the sea and Cly is standing behind Gojo, her eyes trained on you.

“Y/n, you were brought to my realm as a sacrifice, but you have accepted my offering of eternal life,” Geto begins, holding up the parchment and reading from it slowly. “As Dragon God and head of all things in this realm, I bequeath this gift to you.” He then hands you the parchment paper, and you accept it tentatively, wondering what to do next.

“Read it,” Gojo coughs, and your mouth dries up. When you look to Cly for help, she presses her lips together and nods at you, encouraging you to go on.

But you can’t.

“I can’t read,” you croak softly, but it’s too soft, as evidenced by Geto’s confused face.

“I’m sorry. Say that again, y/n.”

“I…” You inhale shakily. “I can’t read.” Everyone’s face goes from confusion to understanding, then trepidation.

“You… can’t read?” Gojo murmurs and Geto blinks in shock.

“Then she can’t…” Cly whispers back.

“The ceremony will be postponed,” Geto announces and takes the parchment from you. “We will have to teach you how to read first.”

Shame accompanies you as you sit on your bed and watch the others eat. Your body, however, wants to close in on itself and disappear. Food is the last thing on your mind right now.

“My cousin never learned how to read,” Ariadne mentions, pulling her fish apart, and other women echo her sentiments. You know they’re trying to be kind, but it doesn’t achieve the effect they desire at all. It just makes you feel even dumber than before.

Your door swings open a moment later, and Cly walks in, followed by Geto.

“Ladies, His Holiness is requesting the room.” The other women vanish in a mess of giggles and murmurs, leaving you and Geto alone as Clymenestra closes the doors. Geto strolls about in your room for what feels like ages until he stops in front of you in the bed.

“I did not know you couldn’t read.”

“No one does, your Holiness,” you reply, looking to your hands in your lap.

“It’s nothing to be ashamed of,” he offers and holds up a book in his right hand. You watch him approach the bed carefully, then sit on the edge, his long black locks obscuring his facial features as he flips through the tome. “I’ll start coming by every evening to help you learn. Clymenestra has offered to help you learn how to write during the day. That way, you’re learning both at the same time.”

“Your Holiness, you are too ki--” Geto places his hand on your leg, looking up at you with his bottomless onyx eyes. You’re stunned into silence by his look - which isn’t one of pity. It’s one of compassion and kindness, and you can’t help but notice how handsome he looks in the flickering lamplight.

“Y/n, it is my duty and my honor to help you in this way. You returned something very precious to me, and I think it is only right to give you something just as timeless.”

“Did you get an answer from the Rain God?” you ask, and Geto drops his eyes.

“Yuta is displeased with your city for many reasons. He has demanded to speak with you personally about atonement, which is another reason why it is imperative for you to become immortal as soon as possible.”

“And the first reason why…?”

“I cannot answer that right now,” Geto whispers, and then opens the book again, shifting it so you could see the pages. “We should try this one. I like this story; it’s about a mermaid named Mija and a starfish named Nuri.”

You finger the gold-lettered pages carefully, feeling the smooth foil underneath your fingers, and Geto places your finger on the first word, holding your hand gently.

“Once”; the second word: “upon”; the third: “a”; the final word: “time”.

What's your favorite Seasonal (including Costume Event) Legendary, Solo, and Story Events in Masters in terms of story that you have played so far? I would like to know your opinions and probably your top 3 favorites if you have any!

Also, what do you think of A Golden Future event? I personally love it, but I'm biased because I like the character, so I want to know your opinion!

I did not realize there were so many events broadly, nor so few Solo events, but I'll try and give a top three of each.  It should be easy enough.

STORY: #3) Baking Buddies - Part of this is my own bias.  I love Dawn and Serena, and having an event focused on both is fantastic.  I also just think it's really cute.  Having the focus be on them helping an NPC confess her feelings is precious, and getting to work in Cheryl and Lillie in a way that's actually meaningful was adorable.

#2) A Golden Future - Yes, I like your boy's event.  It's really strong.  At its most basic level, no MU is nice, and Team Rocket finally taking over as the problem causer is just and proper.  Silver remains a great presence, we get to see all the protagonists, Morty's presentation is great, and the resolution is really satisfying and feels appropriate given what they've built up.  I do feel like just having fake Ho-oh feathers is a bit silly, especially since everyone's freaking out about finding them but they were being sold, but it's a small issue with an otherwise very solid event.

#1) Shining Heart of Dragons - Unquestionably the best story event.  This is some of their best writing.  We get to see Iris as a champion in a way we never did before.  We see her grappling with the fact she's new, inexperienced, and doesn't have much of a following from others.  Her struggling with her own inabilities hits hard, and it's really compelling to see her rise to the challenge.  We get character from Diantha for the first time ever, and she's great.  Seeing her take on this almost mentor role is fantastic, and suits her perfectly.  Even Lance has some great bits, and that's something I thought impossible.  This event is probably my favorite in the game.  It's so good.

SOLO: Why are there so few?

#3) A Sweet Secret - By virtue of there not being many options.  It's cute.  A bunch of random trainers want to get their mentors sweets they'll like, but try to keep it secret while gathering info from the fancy ladies, and the fancy ladies just instantly guess who it's for.  It's cute.

#2) For the Fans - I think Lisia and Elesa are a cool combo, and I like them a lot.  I think...this would be the one where we establish that Hilda has an interest in acting?  Which leads into the PokeWars event, which...wasn't listed anywhere.  Huh.  Anyway, I just like those two.

#1) A Pasio Spectacle - These events tend to be super bare bones, but this one is way too funny to forget.  Like, it's peak comedy for this game, and for that, it's probably my favorite of the solo events that were listed.

LEGENDARY: #3) Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings - This was so hard to decide on, but I stick with it.  Silver's development is great, and the whole event is just really emotionally satisfying?  Like it's great to see Silver having come this far, and the whole event feels very natural as a progression for him.  Having his care for his friends supercede his desire for power, and having that be what makes Ho-oh recognize him despite all his doubts, is fantastic.

#2) New World Dilemma - I love Cyrus, and I swear to god, the best possible thing they could've done is exactly what they did.  Introduce him to Sophocles so he accidentally makes a friend.  Like, whoever realized that Cyrus was also a shy nerd child once, and therefore would connect instantly with the other shy robotics nerd kid, was a goddamn genius.  This whole event is both emotionally satisfying, and hilarious when you think about it.  It's an absolute crime how badly the Sinnoh Villain Arc dropped the ball here.  I demand something to update this.

#1) Father or Foe - I feel like this is the obvious winner.  Like, there are a lot of good events, but none really hits this hard in terms of examining N's feelings toward the man who raised him, and the struggle between how awful he is and still wanting to have him be a better person.  And having Silver around to parallel that broken family dynamic?  It's so good.  Like, I love Nate's presence, and how emotional he gets over his friend's situation, but there's just something about the added layer of having Nate not understand and insist to N that this is clearly a bad call, and having Silver of all people recognize the struggle and call Nate out that this isn't as clear cut as it seems that just...it hits hard.  All of that culminating in Ghetsis in trouble, and N coming to his rescue, and Ghetsis still being a complete ingrate bastard about it, hammering in that yeah, he is awful and has no desire to change, but you still wanted to see him recognize something good.  It's so strong.  This is the only event that actually left me teary-eyed at one point.  If Lusamine's events had even half this impact, they'd probably be among my favorites too.

BONUS ROUND: I noticed the special costume events weren't listed, and I do like both.  PokeWars is probably over Teatime, but I will admit to being a bit frustrated with the lack of proper resolution.  Still, it's hard carried by how good the character dynamics and developments are.  Hilda's continued development in her love of acting manifesting here, Jasmine getting left behind because of her bulky clothes, Guzma taking on a leadership role for this battle by pushing ahead and how that mirrors Diantha's more guarded approach, everything about Grimsley.  It's so good.

Ideal Formula is really strong.  I like that there's a Team Break member dredging up Team Plasma ideology, and showcasing how N still has his own beliefs, but how they've broken away from what team Plasma used to stand for.  It's good, just not as impactful as the others.

Same with Winter Wishes.  It's good, and I love the presentation of Leon with a flaw, and Nessa having a cute dynamic with Sonia.  But the ultimate resolution doesn't fit well.  Leon deciding "I'll just work even harder to finish early!" is not the proper response, and smacks a bit of being unwilling to say "breaks are important!" and letting him be temporarily vulnerable as a human being.

Give and Take was the contender in the Legendary events.  Sycamore finally confronting Lysandre on his misguided ideals, and out-predicting him to get a decisive win, is exactly what this event needed.  I just don't feel it hits as hard as Silver, despite being really good.

How would you rank blair, nate, serena and dan’s love interests in terms of like they had the most feelings for

I mean I’ve done my own personal rankings of how I like Blair, Nate, & Serena’s ships here, but the way you’ve asked the question, I’m not sure how to answer it. Because all these characters have multiple, deep, meaningful relationships over the course of the show, and comparing the depth of those to each other just...doesn’t feel right to me.

Like, you can really be in love with your highschool sweetheart, and just because you fall out of love with them and end up with somebody else years down the line doesn’t mean that that relationship was lesser, or that the love you shared with them wasn’t real because you love somebody else now. I can tell you that I think that Dan’s best match for a long-term, lasting partnership is Blair, but that doesn’t mean I think that the relationship he had with Serena meant less, or that he felt less for her. The depth of his feelings for each of them changed over time, but comparing the Dan-that-is-in-love-with-Serena vs. the Dan-that-is-in-love-with-Blair feels like an oversimplification, and dishonest to how I understand them as characters. (Same goes for Blair/Nate, Serena/Nate, etc., etc.)

And just because Blair felt deeply for chip wiskers doesn’t mean that that relationship was good, or healthy, or sustainable.

Chapter 9 thoughts! 🎃👻 (Not a review in any way, I'm just gonna scream about the chapter)

First of all, you CANNOT believe how many screenshots I took. It's like 1 line out of 4 was comedic gold. I counted and I have exactly a HUNDRED screenshots.

Ariel? The backgrounds? The costumes? THEY BLEW ME AWAY! Anytime a new character appeared on screen with their outfit I was screeching 😂 Especially Karolina. She was killing it. It made me consider making another side account. Love the Alice madness returns trio: Ellie as Alice, Tyler as the mad hatter and Tegan as Cheshire cat. You really did God's work 😔✊🙏🙏

Now to the chapter in general and the writing: at the moment I only played on my Claire account! I'll do Alistair later👌

Love how we start the chapter with Tadashi ALREADY being annoyed. Dick-shaped balloons? Tadashi saying "spooky vibes"? The "WhEn WiLL yOu LeArN tHaT yOuR aCtIoNs HaVe CoNsEqUeNcEs?!?" meme but Tadashi style? Perfect.

The interactions with Claire were absolutely adorable. I thought I would panic when the first dialogue option showed up but it's Claire, so it wasn't hard to figure out! She's so sweet and I love her. The part where Scholar is praising her cooking and she's like "that's the perks of being French!" After that, how she gave Scholar a box full of cookies because she's worried about her skipping meals? CUTE. And the study group where Raquel and Axel are calling out Claire on her obvious crush? Bruh. That's some backstabbing, poor bby Claire 😖😖

Then, the next arc tease! I think it's the "FAXION" thing! So it's either Karol's arc or Neha's? Or both at the same time maybe? I'm interested: how is it gonna play out? A fashion competition where all the main 10 will somehow get involved sounds unlikely, so I guess it's like Tadashi's arc where everyone helps? Or something like that? But I have no idea what kind of problem can arise in a fashion competition 🤔

After that, we have the first illustration! Scholar is a cutie!!! Looking at herself all proud 😎 wish I had that level of self-confidence, when I pass in front of a mirror I don't even want to look at myself 😂

Then the party... Tadashi looking like he was DEAD while all the others look fabulous in their Halloween costumes... Poor Dashi. But love how he was terrified of the Arlingtonator, it's so precious that even though he's always so composed and serious he still believes in stuff like that 😆 Raquel was about to call him a p u s s y. Bruh.

I love the whole team messing with Tadashi but poor guy. He was really trying to protect his friends first before himself, he's so sweet I love him 😭

Later on, when Scholar was looking at Claire and she's like "oh yeah I was just checking you out UH- I mean the outfit! I was checking out the outfit!" I felt that cringe Scholar must've gone through 😂

Now. The next scene. The next scene took the crown for me. I LAUGHED. You guys cannot imagine how rare it is for me to audibly laugh when I'm reading something. I really stopped for a few seconds and kept staring at the screen while laughing. Andy "I CaN't WrItE cOmeDy" bruh no. The AMOUNT of happiness this gave me 😂 please, next time instead of 250 pages write 300 thank you 😌 (I'm only kidding! Serena will lose her mind)

I think I might or might not have this whole scene screenshoted. All the dialogue kills me.

"Al, consider our friendship cancelled."

"PIKI PIKI."

"Tomorrow? You're all dead to me."

This scene will stay in my mind and in my heart. Andy thank you for the amazing food 👏👏 I believe this will stay "iconic" in the fandom 😂

Then we had the party wrap up, of course I chose to play boardgames with Karol, Neha and Claire since this is Claire's account. And I gotta say, I LOVE IT. Karolina looks so happy for once, I couldn't believe it. I also love how Claire is clearly a bit chubby, I want to hug her 💖💗 (or how the internet says: "Thicc" I guess) I got the achievement "in front of MY boardgame?" or something along those lines because Karolina was complaining that Scholar and Claire are flirting 😎

Then we got the spooky stories and a terrified Tadashi begging for his life... god this better not awaken anything in me 😂

And finally the last scene with Claire... God it was so ufozkfhzuhdkdpzjrudozrydo 💗💖💕💝💘💖💗💕💝💘

Anyways!!! As you can see this really wasn't a review at all, just me gushing about sweet elite like always. Is anyone surprised? The only bad thing about this chapter was that it was so sweet that I wanted even more wholesomeness after it was already over 😭 and I know that next arc is going to be even harsher than Tadashi's from what the SE team told us... goodbye happy times, I'll wait for the christmas/new year chapter for more heartwarming stuff. Hopefully it's chapter 12 or 13 🤞🤞 (Well, okay, I admit I'm also looking forward to the angst. I can go through any pain if there's happiness at the end 😔✊)

rewatched “roman holiday” for christmas and

vanessa’s helping serena with dan’s christmas present felt more like she had a crush on serena, or like she had a crush on dan-and-serena in that bi polyam way that dan was thinking of serena-and-nate having sex but okay okay 

vanessa was so cute in this episode. she was just :D

so many good sibling moments!!! “you did the right thing, jen” & the hug made me tear up AGAIN. and serena & eric’s non-verbal communication, like the looks they exchange over the whole bart & lily thing... beautiful 

rufus sitting on the fire escape to call lily was... weirdly hilarious. like. that’s annexed to dan’s room. why are you sitting there. what are you doing, mr humphrey. sir.

lily helping dan & jenny with the tree!!!! that was so precious. 

blair in this episode.... *screams*. tbh i’ve been putting off watching this one because the way she treats roman makes me >:/ but i think her dad handled it pretty well after eleanor talked to him.

“she gets scheming from her mother and idealistic dreaming from her father” or whatever i can’t look it up verbatim i just. got literal chills it was just So Much  

speaking of eleanor. “i’m spending christmas with my family” ALSO gave me chills. 

you know what else made me physically tremble? serena in that little room with the projected snow, in the pretty dress, smiling at dan 

derena in high school being all honeymooney and genuinely liking each other is something i will forever be soft about 

but just the whole moment - serena sitting there, smiling, dan looking at her and smiling back, all of it 

blair & serena!! “thank you for totally not being helpful at all” / blair’s little smile and shrug like. she knows she’s not being helpful and she doesn’t care, but she and serena are just smiling at each other, and like. a good best friend moment!!

serena & vanessa interactions - i said this already i think but it bears repeating - god tier. the way serena enters vanessa’s coffee shop to ask for help. the way vanessa smiles and glows when she sees serena. the way serena is all sheepish and ‘please help’ and vanessa is like ‘i actually like you’. it was so so so soft.

i disagree with blair, actually. i don’t think vanessa likes dan. or if she does - not as much as she likes serena. 

OH I FORGOT TO MENTION - the fact that after eleanor & harold realise that blair is the one who called freddy, blair’s sad and she’s on her bed and she calls nate and gets voicemail. i just. nate & blair’s friendship (tho were they dating at the time? maybe) is so important to me and it made my heart ache a little that she reached out to nate and didn’t get him

the rufus/alison break-up gave me such future derena vibes tbh. like the entire speech he gives her about ‘we want it to work but it will not’ or whatever it was - sometimes the best intentions aren’t enough! sometimes you & your partner are just not compatible! 

because i’m me, i was glad that we didn’t get much chuck. but sad we didn’t get nate, other than the voicemail. and that picture at the end.

the first time i watched this the way it ended stressed me out SO MUCH? bart and that ring?? lily being like :O ... i hate to say it but even on rewatch i feel weird about the end. just. unsettled. 

still. fun episode. merry christmas if you celebrate, happy holidays if you don’t!!!

1x15 - Desperately Seeking Serena

Here we are with a new recap this week. Believe it or not I’m still aiming to do at least two of these per week. So far I’m not there yet, but oh I wish, I’m going way too slow. Anyway here we go, as usual recap’s under the cut.

Thoughts I had while watching the episode:

A rare ocassion when we see these kids actually worried about school.

I love that Blair’s revising with Dorota.

Chuck being Chuck so he will outsource, I’m pretty sure if he actually tried he wouldn’t be half bad with these kind of stuff, but why would he bother.

Aww Dan cried whenever his dad didn’t walked him too school. He had a nice a dad, and yet...

These one of those times I wish I was american just to get the real scope of the SATS, also was that little thing Blair’s using?

Honestly it never made sense to me why there was only once spot in Yale for Constance, like isn’t this suposed to be the kind of school that like to promote that their students are really likely to get entrance to an Ivy?

I normally like when Chuck and Blair’s outfits matched but the colours of these coats are really obnoxious.

Those glares, there’s a short road from hate to love, just saying. Also if only Serena knew that figuring their issues out is going to take quite some time. About 5 years.

Of course Nelly Yuki has to be asian. 

So this was the way Serena was pre boarding school, as much as Georgina is obviously a bad infuence I’m glad we god a snipet of it.

I wonder if Chuck was always Serena’s choice when she needed help with Georgina, because it seems in some ways like this isn’t the first time, and he gets it.

This is the part of S1 when Dan really starts to get on my nerves, because sure Serena is lying to him but he has a way of questioning her that sounds a tad desperate in not a good way. And it’s all so centered around him, he leaves her there like... I can’t deal with this right now? 

Getting dumped at a Flor Rida concert, I guess I would have reacted the same as Nelly Yuki.

Not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of this plot that has Jenny wanting to date a dude just for his money, she’s like 15 and it’s just sad.

Nate and Vanessa, a couple I actually didn’t mind, and I always felt Vanessa was at her less judgmental self when she dated Nate. 

Not the right choice Serena. And yet in a weird way it’s make sense. It ain’t easy to let the past go.

The sound of your own voice distracting you? thanks Jenny for pointing it out, I swear that Dan’s in love with the sound of his own voice.

“Like I want to believe in myself” having Serena say this about the way Dan’s look at her, says a lot about their relationship.

So Serena thinks Georgina knew the old her better than anyone.. mmm interesting.

As much as I like Rufus and think he really tried his best, and overall was a good Dad, he never had any idea of how to handle Jenny. Half the time he only makes it worst.

How nice it was for Nate to convince Vanessa to take the SAT.

Those batteries are not from that calculater, I think I actually had that calculator at one point in my life.

Even though i feel her relationship with Nate was doomed, is never easy to see your ex-moving on.

What’s going on with Chuck’s outfit? Yellow pants, purple sweater, multicolor shirt, it’s so bad and yet I don’t hate it.

For some reason, there’s something about the way Dan’s holding Serena’s face and the way he talks to her, that creeps me out for no good reason. 

So Georgina has something on Serena, and even Chuck’s curious. The good old days when everything was a mistery.

This is the point were Dan’s double identy gets really disturbing. Hi Sarah, meet Dan, we don’t know it yet but he’s as messed up as you.

So this episode, is not a fave in the general sense, because it’s basically just the introduction to Georgina’s character but on that front these is just setting up the stage for the big climax, and all the other subplots here are pretty meh, with Blair’s and Jenny’s battle from the throne in a very dull point. The real interesting part in this episode is that we get more insight into Serena.

it’s been established since the pilot that Serena has a wild passed, an so far her story centers about being this bad girl turned good girl. She has this change of heart because when she ran away after a particularly bad night, her absence is one of the reasons her little brother ends up atempting suicide, she’s also really guilty that her drunken antincs led her to betray her best friend and she doesn’t want to be that way, as much as the show likes to make it seem Serena changed her wild ways when she started dating Dan, that’s not the case. I think the biggest wake up call for her was what happened with Eric.

Dan is a positive influence, and he gives her the respect and positive attention that sadly was lacking in pretty much every interaction she had withe the opposite sex, as I mentioned in a previous recap Serena believes that thinks of her as real human being, he likes her for real reasons, not only because she’s hot or an “It girl”; she believes this because he meets her when she comes back and was not the same girl as before, so in a way he fell for the “good Serena” and so it’s one of the reasons she keeps up trying  her best. 

As we see this episode Dan falling in love with this version of Serena is a double edged sword, because it leaves little room for her to be anything else; he’s make it no secret that he detests her world, and he walked away in anger on their second date when he discovered something of her past he didn’t like, he’s constantly judging her almost all the time, sometimes in a lowkey way, but other’s he’s very straight forward about it. By this point in the series Serena feels really in love with him, and as she says to Georgina the way he feels about her makes her want to believe in herself, so she can’t lose Dan’s love, and she knows how’s he’s going to react if she tells him about her past with Georgina, and therefore she must lie to him. 

This makes me feel really bad for Serena for so many reasons, because how shitty things must have been in the past for her to believe this is the kind of love she deserves, sure it’s her first love and she’s sixteen and sees him in rose tinted glassses, but when one stops to think about is a relationship where she can’t be honest, like if lying is your best option to keep your relationship on good terms that’s a sign that’s something no good, and it’s not like the true would be something like “Hey Dan guess what, I’ve been doing this “bad” thing behind your back all the time we’ve been dating”, no she’s afraid of letting him know her past, something that’s not her anymore... imagine if people couldn’t change, or have a past that they wished were different.  It’s just wrong, but she can’t see it because his love is something she never had and it’s precious and she hasn’t experienced anything better.

There’s also a very interesting line in the middle of the episode related to this, she tells Georgina that no one knew her old self as Georgina did, and this interesting because Serena’s not only trying to hide Georgina from Dan, she’s also hiding her from Lily and Blair, because to Serena Georgina represents the worst side of her, and that’s something she can’t let them see, because I guess she’s really afraid they may changed her mind about her, or even worse love her. This is why I also feel she turns to Chuck in this episode, in part because I feel in her wild days they somewhat tend to hang out with the same type of crowd, I image they often found themselves in the same parties doing drugs and wild stuff,so he already knows more about her worst side, but mostly I feel she calls him because she doesn’t care about what Chuck thinks of her, she knows he cares somewhat, but she’s not as important to him, not in the way Serena and Blair care about each other, and so Serena deep inside of her fears that if they knew, really knew they would love her less. This is somewhat a paralell to the way Chuck’s sees himself, so having him helping her with this, only reinforces this for me. 

Georgina’s presence this episode beside the fact that’s she’s a really messed up person (like honestly how awful it is she evens drugs Serena this episode) and letting us know that she has something on Serena, what I really find interesting is that she brings to light that there’s a part of Serena that’s missing. She’s been stiffling some part of her personality, their first outing sure they’re drunk but for the most part is harmless, they’re just joking around and fooling clueless idiots dudes, Serena only gets mad when drugs are involved. Serena likes to party, to be a bit wild, to be free, and it’s something that’s been lacking, and instead of learning healthier ways to let this part of her shine, to figure out that one can party and be free as long as it doesn’t get’s out of control, she totally shuts down that part of her, and that’s why it takes Georgina so little effort to convince of spending some time together. Even if she doesn’t want to realize it, she misses it.
