What awaits you in September?

It's been a while since I've done a PAC, but I felt like doing one today. I've used charms and intuition for this one. Pick the pile you're feeling drawn to and see what awaits you in the next September.

REMEMBER

Group 1

As I was asking what awaits you in September while picking charms, a charm with words meaning “fingers crossed” (the message is written in my native language and literally means “holding thumbs” though, which looks like this 👍) fell to the ground. In that same moment I holded another charm, about to take it out of the bowl, saying “a selfie together?”. The way this first charm looks, it gives me a feeling someone (your spirit guides, maybe) is rooting for you to have enough courage to ask somebody to take a selfie together. Maybe you’ll make a “thumbs up” gesture while taking this photo. I asked for additional context of this selfie and the charms which I took out (all close together) were “smile”, “you’re cool��� and “I like you just the way you are”. A friend? A crush? My mind keeps going to a scenario of a confident female friend (or at least femininely presenting), especially a new one, and I see done nails (especially hybrid nails, colorful, or with small diamonds on each one), and I think about Agnes from Despicable Me and Priya from Turning Red for some reason. Maybe this person has some similarities to them. I think about a “girl’s girl”, with a distinct style and someone who hypes you up. And probably someone you aren’t close with yet. I don’t know to what extent this scenario will resonate with all of you, but coming back to the more universal beginning, the charms are telling you to not overthink it, smile and take a selfie with someone if you feel like it.

The first charm coming out was “you called?”, then “now you can go crazy” (with this one I almost took out a charm with “shall we dance?”, but it slipped out back into the bowl) and lastly “that was a good evening”. With the way I was taking out one charm at the time, and didn’t feel like I have to mix charms for too long, you have a rather grounded vibe to me. Like, you do one thing at the time, and you are quite sure about what you want to do. Now, with the messages written on charms, it’s either you taking somebody out or someone taking out you - I feel like in most cases it’s gonna be the latter, with how grounded the vibe you gave me is, and the “now you can go crazy” message. You have an approval of doing something unusual for you for once lol (of course, always stay safe). Pretty straightforward, going out with somebody out in the evening (I see mostly a male friend with a kinda class clown energy, or a bigger group of friends). This “shall we dance?” charm slipping out makes me curious. Someone will like to ask another person to dance, but won’t say it in the end? Or maybe another person refuses? The first one feels more plausible though. I see mostly a city setting, like going for a walk when it’s dark and there are street light, and so few cars someone could think about dancing on the street for a moment (again, stay safe, I don’t really feel any bad vibes, but I’m telling you this just in case). For the whole reading I felt like shuffling a song for you, so here it goes: Ship in a Bottle by fin.

Group 3

With this pile I felt kind of unconcentrated, as if I couldn’t pick what to do. If you felt drawn to one of the previous piles, check them and then come back here. The charms from them were showing up for a moment, almost getting picked up. Your charms are “a coincidence…?” and “every occasion is good”, taken out together, which makes quite a lot of sense. Something unplanned is going to happen, but there’s no reason to not do what you had in mind for some time if an occasion shows up. As I asked for more, “that was a good evening” fell out. I kept mixing charms, but it felt like that’s all they have to tell you, I didn’t feel that I absolutely have to take out some other charm out of the bowl. However, it fell weirdly unsatisfactory, and my mind went to cards with song quotes I’ve made and use sometimes during divination. Low and behold, I didn’t fully finish the question and one card fell out: “Sometimes the worst of ‘em have the best disguises/He’ll go as far as it takes to stay in hiding/Uh, don’t you know, don’t you know/’Bout the devil, he’s a gentleman” from “The devil is a gentleman” by Merci Raines, and at the back of the deck is “I used to think that I was bold/I used to think love was for fun/Now all my stories have been told/Except for one” from “You will be okay” by Sam Haft, used in Helluva Boss as a lullaby a father sings to his daughter after her nightmare. So it feels like someone is up to no good, and for most of you that person is either a love interest, a paternal figure or a man in power (a priest and a teacher came to my mind, but it may be someone else). I don’t want to scare you, of course, it doesn’t have to be as serious as it could appear in your head. Just remember to stick to your guts and listen to your gut feelings. While the first pile feels excited and rather young, and the second a little older, logical and grounded, this one feels a little stuck and probably the oldest (either you’ve seen some things or are a working adult is what I’m getting). It looks like it’s about time to get rid of what’s not serving you and spend a nice evening. You may have some problems with confidence, but it doesn't mean you should put up with anyone's bullshit.

Prompt 23 - Charm

The little lights blinked slowly and gradually turned colours every third blink or so, casting a colourful glow over the empty classroom. It was a nifty little charm that James had invented. James had also cast a cushioning charm on the hard stone floor before covering it with a fuzzy blanket. Regulus sat and waited, propped up by the pile of cushions James had stolen from Flitwick’s office, while James set up their little feast. 

“Here,” James grinned, handing him a bottle of butterbeer before sitting back beside him and popping a few grapes into his mouth. Regulus took a sip of the sweet beverage and felt the warmth flood through him. He loved these little moments with James; they were his most precious memories. James handed him a plate and began adding food to it for him. 

Once they’d eaten all they wanted, James vanished the remnants, presumably back down to the kitchens, and wrapped his arms around Regulus. He wriggled back into the cushions to get comfortable before dragging Regulus onto his lap. Regulus flailed for a second before he righted himself and gazed down at his wonderful boyfriend with hooded eyes. He bit his lip and leaned in to claim his favourite spot on James’s neck. James would have to glamour his neck until the bruises went down, but by then, Regulus would have most definitely added more. 

The lights moved closer, almost shielding them from the rest of the world as Regulus slowly unbuttoned James’s shirt, kissing along his jaw and moving slowly to his lips. They had hours before they’d be missed, and Regulus was determined to make them all count. 

The lights dimmed, and James rolled them over, pressing Regulus into the cushions, grinning down at him before he pulled Regulus’s shirt open, buttons flying everywhere, and began kissing down his chest. Regulus arched up into the touch and closed his eyes as James’s fingers brushed under his waistband. He wished he could stay there forever.

This is Eddie’s third try.

That’s a sportsball thing, right? Three strikes and you’re out.

Eddie hopes he doesn’t strike out.

His first try had been completely abysmal, in which he’d walked into Family Video, promptly gotten flustered and nervous and tongue-tied, grabbed Rocky Horror Picture Show, and walked out after paying.

That wouldn’t have been as horrible as it actually was had he not already owned Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The second time was slightly better, if only because that time he’d actually managed to flirt a little.

He doesn’t entirely remember the exchange, is the thing. He knows it happened, and according to Robin he and Steve were flirting for roughly five minutes straight until another customer (“a real customer, Munson, as opposed to your freeloading ass,” Robin had teased) had walked in.

Eddie had walked out without renting anything, but that’s alright. Half the time he walks in, he walks back out empty-handed.

And, okay, maybe this being the third try is a slightly conservative answer.

He’d thought about it before, is the thing; thought about leaning over the island in Steve’s kitchen, kissing his pout as he’s focused on assembling sandwiches. He’d thought about reaching just that little bit more, “accidentally” past the popcorn bowl during movie night, brushing the backs of his fingers against the back of Steve’s hand.

He’d thought about truly terrible pick up lines—falling from heaven as an example—and swiping that little piece of hair off his forehead.

He’d thought about Steve’s reactions. How maybe he’d kiss back, maybe he’d twine their fingers together. Maybe he’d roll his eyes, blush.

Maybe he’d scoff, disgusted, and ignore Eddie.

Robin had tried to convince Eddie that wouldn’t happen, and he finally believes her, at least enough to take a leap of faith and try.

He walks into Family Video like he would any other day, making a beeline straight for the counter. “Robin,” he sings, gripping the edge and leaning over until his toes are scraping the ground. “‘S he here?”

“Depends,” she hums. “You gonna do it? Or chicken out again?”

Eddie collapses onto the counter with a groan. “You wound me, Buckley,” he says, before popping up when he hears Steve’s voice.

“Hey, Eddie!”

He looks around and spots Steve waving from his position in an aisle. He grins and makes his way over. “Stevie!” He says. “Your soulmate is being mean to me.”

Steve snorts and rolls his eyes. “Yeah, she’s mean to me, too.” Robin squawks, and Steve sticks his tongue out at her. Eddie’s in love.

“So, um.” He clears his throat, looks at the movies Steve is shelving. Rom-coms. “There’s-” he pauses, worrying at his bottom lip.

Steve looks at him, concerned. “Eds?”

“Just.” He squeezes his eyes shut. “I need you to not punch me if it’s not true, okay? I’d prefer you not hate me either but I’d understand if you did, if I were in your shoes I’d probably hate me, but just. You- please don’t tell anyone.”

Steve’s brows furrow. “You’re started to scare me, Eds.”

“Fuck,” Eddie mutters. “Sorry, just. I’m not good at this.” He takes a breath. “Um. Would you like to go on a date with me?”

Steve grins. “I’d love to.”

Turns out, third time’s the charm.

Wait a minute when the hell does the CL16 Continuity take place? Like, is it in 2023? At least, it's present? Going by what's in the description of the Herobrine Exposure video, Zander's channel has been inactive for 6 years (the Herobrine video being his last one), and he's playing on 1.12 (as Kevin mentions in his debunking.)

Assuming that 1.12 is the latest version of Minecraft currently out at the time, and that 1.12 was released on June 7, 2017, it would mark present day as 2023.

But then there's like, the Gameband video, where the S.O.S file is dated as October 6, 2016.

Is this also a part of the parody or something? Am I overthinking this? Is it anachronistic on purpose? I was just trying to figure out when Kevin potentially started his paranormal mercenary business.

Speaking of which! The latest minecraft version in Kevin's video appears to be 1.12.2 (according to the versions his clients play), which only came out months after the release of 1.12. So either his clients just like old Minecraft (which he did mention are more prone to hauntings, but that's specifically for Metaphors for Nostalgia, not just any regular haunt), or the latest version is just 1.12.2 (which was an update of 1.12 that came out on September 18, 2017.)

Assuming the latter is the case, and like, assuming Kevin is BigKVids, did he immediately jump into the supernatural world after seeing a hint of Souler in Zander's video? If so that's kinda funny, and also means he's somehow super experienced after a couple months. Hashtag bluffing or overconfidence or extreme competence or whatever.

(Hey is BigKVids' channel being deleted a good sign? Either Kevin deleted his old, kid channel, or that he continued to use the same channel to publish his portfolio. Eh, It's probably not a big deal.)

Vitri also seems to play on 1.12.2 considering the mods she has downloaded work for, well, 1.12.2.

And Collin's world is Collin's world man (I'm assuming it's 1.12.2)

Basically, I think CL16 Continuity is currently taking place in 2017, at least most of its videos do. But it seems like it could go up to 2023 if it wants.

Also who's reuploading Zander's, BigKVids', and AwesomeG's videos? Is it the entity called The Reuploader or something (I know that hungry may be the one reuploading AwesomeG's videos for some reason, but there's no confirmation for the other two!)

The little charm things you made months ago to show how much of a language people knew?? It didn't click for me until I was watching it for (I think, I've replayed the animation quite a few times) the fifth time, trying to grab a screencap for a wallpaper, but that's so cool!

I'm so happy that's still a part of your character design because that was one of my favorite headcanons I've seen, to this day, and I genuinely thought about it often, just going about my day. Just such an amazing little detail.
