I don’t normally read cross overs- there’s just so much to read in the Miraculous world- but this author is amazing and I was so curious about the story- read it, you should definitely read it!
But… check the tags first, and it is a wip and will be ever present in the back of my mind until it finishes.

What are the effects the user gets from using these two new miraculous
Miracle exposure symptoms depend on a lot of thing and one major factor is the way the holder perceives their miraculous ! Marinette doesn’t see the glamour in being a holder like her friends do so her symptoms tend to manifest more.
Marinette after using the bear, the kwami of intimidation, for enough time would likely be much more irritable. She might experience a loss in empathy and an increase in lethargy. She might get a little rough. She probably wouldn’t enjoy its powers much anyway. She feels heavy with it. Too slow. Too spooky.
The lamb, aka the kwami of sacrifice, brings out Adrien’s martyr complex. He’d eventually start losing most of his self preservation instincts. He might get a little clingy ! Adrien is very prone to clinical lycanthropy so he might develop some separation anxiety? Restlessness ect. Maybe eat grass.

I love that Plagg in the end only acted warmer again when Marinette finally let him go back to Adrien.
Im not sure how long Marinette kept the Miraculous of the Black Cat or what exactly she meant when she said she was done with Chat's Miraculous now (was this referring to the upgrades? Like, are the power ups automatically accessible now? We'll see)
But it was nice to see that Plagg didn't really feel comfortable at Marinette's place. He separated himself from the Kwami group, he was emotionally aloof, and immediately left when he got the chance.
Plagg, just like Adrien, always had the short end of the stick when it comes to Marinette's guardianship. Both Plagg and his Chat Noir are entirely isolated and get barely any care from Maribug the way all the other holders and Kwamis get, so seeing that reflected in Plagg's behaviour is nice because it's honest about Marinette's shortcomings and that this can be worked on in future
Plagg gets along with Marinette, but she KNOWS that Chat Noir is more important to him. Plagg just has to behave and obey because she's the guardian (which is a consistent thing since Kuro Neko).
This is something I hope gets expanded on in future. That Marinette was honestly not a good guardian for Plagg at all and that this caused him to get excluded too. I hope we'll get to see Marinette trying to mend more what's broken between her and Plagg and it appropriately starts with acknowledging that her neglect made the bond between Plagg and his kid much stronger than whatever respect and sympathy Plagg has/ wants to show her.
Plagg wanted to hug her, too, but he wanted to get back to his kid more. So he only softened once he got to do that.

Hello. Question; since Null is beside Lila, and you made a form sharing power and not, does that mean unlike other kwamies, they is not suck in the Miraculous?
Oh- haha- I can see how that might be confusing now that I’m looking at it- I originally drew Null next to Lila so that people could hopefully tell at a glance that this was concept art for Lila with Null’s miraculous. At least, that was the intention.
I have definitely thought of an au where Null isn’t bonded to a miraculous at the start, and Marinette has to find a way to bond it to a miraculous so that it’s power can be harnessed by humans, and to give it a physical form (that it detests).
In both the art I did with Marinette (Lady Cipher) and Lila (Nessuna) they are using a miraculous connected to Null to transform, and Null becomes their suit, like all the other kwamis- it isn’t able to be separated from its miraculous now that it’s bonded.

The miraculous is a tiara, at least for now.

recs for older/future ladynoir/time skip post show? like early to mid 20s where they're still ladybug and chat noir, i keep looking but can never really find anything except where chat noir goes off grid, but i think i'm just bad at it haha
Hm... yeah there are definitely some out there, though most of them are post-reveal. I dunno if that's what you're looking for, but I'll just see what I can find. I'm assuming, based on this description, that you're looking for something where Ladybug and Chat Noir are superheroes, and not a No Powers AU.

Boulangerella by @aidanchaser
Once upon a time, magic was wild. The two princes of the kingdom have been tasked with choosing their brides by the end of their 21st birthday celebrations. Crown Prince Adrien Agreste will have to choose between a woman who can protect his kingdom, a woman offering the power to wake his sleeping mother, and the woman he has loved and admired for the past year. Then there's also the seamstress that he is suddenly falling for. By the time he realizes he doesn't have the power to choose at all, it may be too late.
I love a good fairy tale AU, and this is no exception. Aidanchaser started writing it before Season 5 came out, so it's wrong about some things. Most notably, Felix's posthumous father was a good and decent person here, and one of the twin rings is Felix's Amok while the other one is Adrien's Amok, instead of both of them being Adrien's Amok.
This was a well-crafted tale, with kwamis operating as Fae: they can give power, but only if the wielder gives something up to pay for it. For temporary usage of their power, it can be something small and innocuous, such as giving Plagg cheese in exchange for his help. More expansive uses of their power requires greater sacrifices however, even sacrificing more nebulous things such as memories or hope.
The kingdom's currently being terrorized by this unknown villain, Hawk Moth, as in the show. Ladybug and Chat Noir emerge to battle him, but for some reason (*cough, cough*), King Gabriel isn't fond of the superheroes and wants them captured.
Gabriel isn't the only threat out there, Lila's skulking around, hinting that she knows how to wake up Emilie from her mysterious illness, if only Adrien marries her. And she's not about to take no for an answer.
If you've been wanting a fairy tale/fantasy Miraculous AU, I recommend giving Boulangerella a shot!

Through Yellow Eyes by @echo-has-queries
"Nooroo bleeds and Paris drowns in his blood." The day of the Blight, Paris bore witness to a horror too grand to comprehend. Only Chloé Bourgeois bore witness to a miracle. Marinette, Alya and the rest of Paris will need more than faith in Gimmi to survive. As the city's sanity hangs by a thread, bodies, minds, and souls are traded with the unknown in order to hold on to the things they each treasure most. Written for the AU Roulette Challenge 2024 with the prompt: Cosmic Horror AU
If you like Cosmic Horror (Lovecraftian I think? Though this isn't really my wheelhouse), then this is the story for you! I love seeing how Paris copes with the madness seeping through its streets, somehow going about daily life despite it all.
Kwamis here are more inhuman, more separated from humanity. There's no cute little miniature form to help bridge the gap. While humans can still meld with kwami, it's not all quite as firmly in the human's control as it normally is, and the side effects are worse. It doesn't help that the kwamis can't fully understand squishy little humans' wants, needs, or morality.
Like, as Ladybug, Marinette can't remember her human name, and her human concerns are somewhat muted. While as Marinette, she can't remember certain aspects of her time as Ladybug, and only regains those memories when she transforms again. She also has to be careful about restoring everything, as she can't just give Tikki a cookie and call it a day. Instead, she herself needs to eat enough to compensate for the lost energy, which can be a substantial portion of the goods in her parents' bakery.
As for Adrien... well, this is still going off of Sentimonster Adrien, though the ritual to create him went differently... and went wrong. But he is still Adrien.
Chloe's interesting as well, she's this sort of priest, this missionary for the kwamis, but her methods are... well, not the best. She still has a bunch of her canonical hangups, even though she IS somewhat helpful.
I love Alya in here, she's just desperately trying to figure out what's going on so that she can try to fix it, especially since Nino's one of the people who's been driven mad by the Blight. She does find some answers, and even ends up being partially responsible for Ladybug's creation and Chat's and Ladybug's subsequent fight against the worst effects of the Blight, but the risks, danger, and side effects she suffers are still significant. Though some of those side effects can be used to her advantage.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this AU and thought it was an interesting take on the subject, I highly recommend checking it out!

Mamma Mia! by @ladynoirfanao3
When Marinette discovers she is pregnant, she is distressed to realize any of the three men she slept with in the recent past could be the father; Chat Noir, Ladybug’s partner and ex with whom she had gone through a tearful breakup - the mysterious Cat Walker, Ladybug’s rebound - or Adrien Agreste, Marinette’s current boyfriend. Bit of a twist on the base concept of Mamma Mia, where she doesn't realize all three potential fathers are, in fact, the same man.
So this is a fun little fic. I loved seeing Adrien and Marinette independently wrestle with the situation - Adrien, with maybe being the father of his former girlfriend's children (but maybe not), and Marinette, with needing to tell her former and current boyfriends that they might or might not be the father, and having to deal with a potential change in their relationship because of that.
Oh yeah, this fic is rated M, but the sexual content is relatively mild. The foreplay is detailed, but the actual sex is just implied.

Fate, Destiny... A Hamster by @mostmagical
After finally moving into his very first apartment per Ladybug’s suggestion, Adrien discovers something no movie or TV show could have ever prepared him for: someone else's hamster.
Marinette was so excited to have her first pet. If only it would stop escaping!
At least now there’s an excuse to talk to the new neighbor.
(Adrienette Never Met AU)
Funnily enough, this is based on a true story. Specifically, the author’s own experience of having her hamster run out and be found by a neighbor.
Anyway, this is adorable! Marinette and Adrien become smitten with each other extremely quickly, with Marinette’s hamster keeping giving them reasons to talk. Very effective wing-hamster, that one XD.

I (Wish I) Knew You by @buggachat
University has been hard on Marinette. Making new friends and maintaining her grades is a lot easier said than done when she has to disappear at odd times to fight akumas. She's struggling, and with Alya away with family and Adrien painfully out of reach, she's never felt lonelier.
If only she could talk to someone who really understood her struggles... but it's not like Chat Noir would know anything about loneliness. Right?
Nice aged-up Ladynoir fic here! Marinette’s struggling with losing friends and lovers because of her flakiness due to her superhero activities, until at last she breaks down. Thankfully, Chat Noir’s there at least - and it soon turns out he’s got problems of his own that he’s been hiding.
There’s some fluff and angst, it’s mostly just the two of them navigating life, dealing with their feelings and talking things out.

Tell Me Why You Love Me by @linnieluna
“Anyway, that piece of paper contains the name of this texting app. It’s completely anonymous, so you can download it, make your account with no attachments to your personal life, and communicate with me outside our suits. I included my username on the paper, too, so you can add me once you’re done."
Her partner skimmed through the words on the paper and nodded his head. “Brilliant as always, M’lady. I’m surprised we didn’t figure this out sooner within our superhero careers.”
“Yeah, it would’ve been nice to have this before, but hey, better late than never. Make sure not to have your phone screen on the messages if you’re going to leave it somewhere. We don’t want anyone reading our texts. Also, this is for emergencies only. No jokes or puns. I can only deal with you for so long.”
“I don’t know if I can agree to that last one,” he said.
Now 22 and working full-time, Marinette and Adrien seem to be getting busier and busier, which means fewer opportunities to keep track of akumas and show up on time. With the idea of using a messaging app to communicate with each other without revealing their identities, their lives immediately grew to be easier... until it wasn't.
This starts off as a mostly slice-of-life fluff fic, but about halfway through things turn dramatic when Monarch learns some things he really shouldn’t and takes action. I had a lot of fun with it as it was coming out, it’s worth a read.

Wedding Belle by Ilioneththird
Monarch is gone but the Butterfly has taken his place. When an old schoolmate of Marinette’s from her Francois Dupont days gets upset that a couple who have been engaged for a long time still aren’t making any wedding plans, the Butterfly akumatizes her into Wedding Belle, a supervillain with the power to force couples to get married. Guess which other longstanding couples and “just friends” she will target 😉

Love is Blind by @jennagrinsoverml

What will he do when he realizes that his Lady is one of the contestants, however? And will he be able to win her heart where he’s never succeeded before? Meanwhile, Marinette is looking to meet the right guy after years of pining away for someone who has only ever seen her as a friend. She’s not entirely sure if she can fall in love with someone without seeing them, but the things that have always mattered to her most are the kinds of things that can’t be seen. What will she do when she realizes her heart is being pulled in two directions? And will she be ready to make a decision in time?

Miraculous Twinflame OC/Kwami Submission Guide
Alright! You know what time it is!~ OC time!
While taking submissions for Enchantlings!, I noticed that most people submitted completely original characters instead of canon inspired ones, which I had absolutely zero problems with, but I figured that I might as well make a series completely for the OCs since the demand was so high! XD
Below you can see an example character (Baka self insert who will probably not be canon), the OC/Kwami submission template, a few quick guidelines/requests to keep in mind while submitting characters and the available slots which I will aim to update as often as possible!
Tumblr media
For everyone's sake I will try to keep this as short as possible, but first things first, the guidelines.
First come, first served. If I get multiple submissions for a single slot, the slot will be given to the first submitter.
Follow the guidelines. Please. Submissions that don't comply, will be ignored, and I hate doing that, please follow the guidelines TT
The protagonists are in high school, so high school aged (15-18) characters would be preferable, but it's not a hard requirement. Just note that characters who are not in the age range might not be interacted with as much.
The story is set in Japan, in a relatively sheltered and introverted city, that might better qualify as a town. Most characters should be from the city because I can only do the 'outsider who proves themselves to the standoffish villagers' plot so much.
Japanese character names are preferred. Not a hard requirement, but I am going for a silly anime feel for this project.
Backstories can be as convoluted as you want, just please don't make everyone secretly the wizard who crossed over from the fairy realm thousands of years ago waiting for the right moment to show themselves XD
I will allow a few non-humans (fairies, changelings). These will have a separate counter to show how many characters are available to have these species, because I still want humans to be in the majority. (Do note that changelings don't really have any special powers other than being 'off' and fairies who get Kwamis are generally on the weaker side magic-wise and would need to have a good reason to be in the mortal realm.)
Seelie Kwamis are colourful and bright, while Unseelie Kwamis are usually darker with a bit more graphic appearances and powers. Seelie Kwami users don't strictly need to be heroes and Unseelie Kwami users don't need to be villains.
Anons are welcome as always, but non-anons will be credited.
Quick Update: I already have plenty of out of Sen City characters, so please don't submit any more of those!
Update 2: I introduced additional magically inclined role options for those who missed the changelings and the fairies! Their counter is available below just as with the previous ones! Quick explanation for what they are: a Fae Touched is a human who was infused with fae remains through magical means (super unethical). These humans gain some minor fae features and a fae instinct. Since fae are very animalistic compared to fairies, these humans will get strange predator like and animalistic urges, and sometimes they're hardly in control of themselves as the spirit of the fae lives on within their mind, fighting for control over their body. A Displaced is a human who at one point in time entered the Fairy Realm and exited out into the Mortal Realm a different time period since the flow of time between the realms is so unsynced. They might have gained a sensitivity to magic in that realm which gives them a supernaturally good sense of direction when it comes to navigating to locations, items or structures embued with magic (especially of the Fairy kind).
Update 3: And another fairy magic human influenced human variant has been added to the roster in the form of Stolen Humans! These humans are people who have been actively lured away into the Fairy Realm by fairies to acts as servants/entertainers in courts (also unethical and very yikes! Oberon still had some at one point probably before coming into the human realm). They tend to soak up a lot more magic than Displaced humans due to their constant proximity to fairies and magical structures. Since they're usually under the influence of some sort of charm their memories usually fade and become murky over time, to the point of forgetting their own name. The faeries they serve usually rename these humans after things they like (Rosehip, Higanbana, Moon-glance, etc. names you wouldn't usually give to a human). These humans are capable of performing the task they do in court supernaturally well and they have a lot stronger immunity to glamour spells than other humans.
Alright! With the boring stuff out of the way, let's get to the fun bit! Character building! Below you can find a handy dandy character sheet and an example sheet, along with a text version. Just fill one out, send it to my ask box, and I will draw the character!

𝐌𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍
EP.03
Tumblr media
"Nights are when I can finally let loose," you think as you grab the key necklace and lock your room, picking up your phone to check the messaging app where you can clearly see messages from your parents. Each message explains how they'll be away as usual, which you don't mind much. Walking to the balcony, you open the luxurious doors. Sass, the snake kwami, emerges from his small hiding place, moving to stand in front of you, illuminated by the moonlight, the only light in the dark room.
"Another night... Sass, scales slither..." the kwami is pulled into your bracelet, and soon your body is adorned in that costume. Turning around, you begin to move towards the balcony, climbing onto the small wall before finally jumping to your semi-freedom.
"I hope I get to tear the wings off that butterfly pest," you think as you stand atop a building, already looking at your miraculous on your wrist."Second Chance!" you activate the miraculous power before leaping across rooftops, searching for any sign of Hisperia. Hearing a noise, you jump onto a roof and look down, only to see Claw Noir and Shadybug arguing as usual.
"Sucuri!" You feel someone approaching from behind and, already recognizing the voice, you don't even need to turn around. "Hello to you too, Queenbee~" you say, dragging out the words like a snake. The girl just scoffs as she stands beside you, watching the two arguing below."Those two are always fighting. That's why they never manage to catch that annoying butterfly idiot. They're—" Queenbee falls silent when you raise a hand to stop her from continuing.
"Leave them be. After all... if the Supreme entrusted them with Miraculouses, it's because they're useful. As my right hand, you should know that~" you say, dragging your words like a snake again. Lowering your hand and letting it rest at your side, Queenbee can only sigh as she watches the two below, each grabbing their weapons and heading after one of the akumatized villains now destroying posters of the Supreme or anything related to him.
"I could easily go down there and just finish off that insect," you say, shaking your head in disapproval as you watch the two arguing and attempting to take down the butterfly holder from a distance. You hum in disapproval, observing their chaotic efforts.
Before turning and walking to the other side of the rooftop, you say, "You can go back and rest, Queenbee~. It seems you won't need to get your paws dirty~" dragging out the last word like a snake. Queenbee sighs."Alright, Sucuri. When you need my excellent skills to eliminate that insect, just call me. Goodbye, dear," she says, leaping off the building and disappearing from view, leaving you staring at the moon above.
Sighing, you start jumping across the rooftops, following Ladybug and Black Cat from a distance. You watch as they seem to lose track of Butterfly once again. The argument between them begins before they each go their separate ways, perhaps to rest. Now finally "alone," you step out of the shadows, fully illuminated by the moonlight."It's on calm and empty nights like these that I feel good," you think as you look over the dark Paris, feeling the cold and comforting wind. You are about to head home when a leaf drifts past you.
Catching the leaf before it flies further, you notice scribbled lyrics on it. The person seemed to be trying to create a song, but the remaining words suggest they didn't have a solid idea. Looking confused, you turn to where the paper came from. The street is empty, illuminated only by the moonlight and streetlights. Even with your night vision, you still see the emptiness of the place. Sighing, you jump off the rooftop, letting the leaf in progress drift slowly to the ground. You couldn't care less about the owner or about carrying something so useless.
Leaping onto the balcony and detransforming, the night now comes to an end. Closing the balcony door and drawing the curtains, you observe Sass floating beside you. Raising your hand, you let him sit calmly on it. You then head to your bed, placing the kwami on the pillow next to yours."Rest..." you say before turning to go to the bathroom.

so im on s5 of miraculous and i keep thinking about cat noirs whole “kept at a distance” arc bc it’s genuinely really interesting but gets so wasted by always winding up with him basically validating ladybugs nonsensical decisions and treatment—the same treatment that we were already shown upset him enough to destroy public properly about it. the most consistent reason LB ever gives cat about why he can’t be fully trusted or relied on is that he’s too much of a liability for their partnership to work—either because he’s too reckless, too in love with her, or his cataclysm would be too dangerous to use.
whatever it is, the baseline is that she thinks he’s a liability, and obviously that’s like salt in the wound for cat since he genuinely loves her and enjoys being partners with her, but it’s also just sad to see him continue to respect her decision and act like it isn’t a problem for him when he’s literally upset enough to physically lash out and use his powers to do so. and I know a lot of it can probably be explained by ladybug’s experience in the cat blanc timeline, but 1) she starts holding him at a distance way before that even happens, 2) she’s actively making it worse by not telling cat noir about cat blanc and why she thinks she has to exclude him for his own safety, and 3) SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD HIM ABOUT CAT BLANC TO BEGIN WITH BECAUSE IT’S LITERALLY A WORLD ENDING SITUATION INVOLVING HIM DIRECTLY‼️‼️‼️‼️
instead she just allows him think he’s unwanted and unnecessary, calls the shots on how he should feel about “having more free time” and ironically makes him even more susceptible to being Akumatized because of it. ladybug might not be aware that cat is adrien and has a terrible home life he actively uses his miraculous to escape from, but she’s playing right into all the key aspects that adrien resents from his father; she decides what he wants without considering or asking him, she trusts him conditionally and still distances herself enough for him to just not know certain things. it’s done with good intentions, but it still clearly affects adrien very poorly, and it’s just such a frustrating glass-chewing miscommunication that only needlessly complicates the situation
don’t even get me started on Kuro Neko where ladybug falls head over heels for the changed version of her partner and narrowly avoiding her having to actually screw up and learn a lesson about accepting cat for who he actually is because catwalker is just “too perfect” for her to function—instead of being an obedient idealized version of her best friend who lets her be in control of everything (WHEN ADRIEN LITERALLY USES HIS DOUBLE LIFE TO HAVE THE CONTROL HE DOESN’T GET AT HOME).
theres so much potential for the base concept of the miraculous of destruction and its Kwami/holder being distrusted outliers among the rest of the Kwami/holders, but the magic system sucks and it kind of loses any chance when the other Kwamis are established to be catastrophic if they use their powers without a holder. and it gets even more confusing if you consider that Fu specifically chose adrien to hold that miraculous, but then encourages Marinette to keep her distance from him and barely acknowledges him as a hero in general. Like why did you even bother testing adrien for his worthiness or whatever if you obviously don’t think he’s worthy of knowing anything about you or the rest of the miraculous OR his best friend’s identity??? but you’re totally okay with her just giving them out to anyone in Paris who’s conveniently around and having her know their identity???? master fu when I catch you master fu
auugghhhfgg I don’t know the magic system thing could be its own separate post but likeeeeee I just think the miraculous of destruction whos constantly mistrusted for no reason and goes Kamehameha Krazy in another timeline is very special and could be treated so much better if the writers were good at their job and didn’t make every character’s sole purpose be validating ladybug/marinette even when she’s in the wrong

Wish Me Away: What Goes Around Comes Around
Notes: I'm so sorry for the wait but things piled up and it overwhelmed me. My mental health declined and physical health fluctuated, lot's of personal things happened and then I just got caught up in my commissions. I try my best to multi-task but it always gets hard for me. Sometimes I'll hit a streak and then I'll hit a block.
Overall, I'm just sorry and I thank all of those who are still sticking with this story and me as an author.
Warnings for this chapter are descriptions of injuries.
Beginning Last Chapter
Summary: The Agreste's face their Karma
Chapter:
Karma was a beautiful, beautiful thing if you asked Tikki. One of the only beautiful things born from her and Plagg’s combined powers. They were young when they created it, back when they hid from all, be it humanity or the wide variety of Gods and Goddesses. Kwami weren’t known to man, and to the Gods…well, some didn’t understand them, or they saw them as competition, but there were some Gods who sought them out to talk and bounce ideas off of. It was nice and it fueled her need to create. One conversation with some lovely Hindu Gods had her mind spinning to the point she demanded Plagg help her with her idea. He was reluctant, of course he was, combining their powers had proved to be a great yet terrifying thing. One that wasn’t exactly forbidden by Them before they had actually become Them , but it wasn’t highly encouraged either.
Luck and Creation were Tikki’s domains, Bad Luck and Destruction were Plagg’s, so it was safe to assume they didn’t collaborate often. When they did though, they created such intriguing yet beautiful things that had the power to do as much good as they did harm. An example being the Lazarus Pit. It was just one pit that ended up somehow multiplying and they were spread around the globe. They were misleadingly called the Fountain of Youth, not many knew there was more than one so whichever one they discovered or heard of that was nearby or far away was deemed the fabled fountain. Human tales were such interesting things, Tikki loved hearing and reading them, even in her smaller form. They were shining examples of Creation and what could be done with the gift of Creativity. It was wonderful! Tikki loved seeing Creation in motion but it was something else to see Plagg and Destruction in work.
It was art.
Maybe it was horrible of her to say but without him there would be no her. Creation needed Destruction and vice versa. They were an endless cycle and there was something just absolutely breathtaking about that. It was no wonder that Tikki wanted to try and merge their powers and see what could be born from it. They saw what happened when they combined their Creation and Destruction powers, but Tikki had been curious about their Luck based powers and Plagg had been a lot easier to convince once she explained that. It had been laughably easy, the power glowed above them for a couple of seconds and it was beautiful, it was more so when it separated into what Tikki could only describe as magic dust and flew in every direction. The dust coated everything and then it was gone. Naked to the eye but Tikki could feel it all around.
At first, they had no idea what this new thing did but it became apparent the more they observed humanity.  A human would be kind or helpful in some way and Tikki would get this feeling of tickling warmth around her, this person would get a bit of good luck, nobody else could see it but Tikki, Plagg and the other Kwami (and Tikki would wager also the Gods) would see this human surrounded by some sort of glow. It was beautiful, it never stayed one color, it fluctuated and changed but always remained this soft, gentle glow. Eventually it would fade, but Tikki noticed some humans seemed to be constantly surrounded by the glow and it wasn’t a surprise to note they were some of the kindest, most generous and passionate humans she had observed. They were wonderful and Tikki felt they deserved the boost of luck, the Kwami as a whole were in awe. Then they saw the other side of things.
Tikki knew humans weren’t perfect, that was part of their allure and all, but sometimes some of their actions truly disgusted her. They lied, which isn’t all bad, but some just lied and lied as easily as breathing and did so with no remorse even if a lie caused a problem. Sometimes they even looked proud if it caused some form of problem to happen. There were those who stole just to steal and just because they could, and there were those who killed with no guilt. Tikki and Plagg started to notice that these people started to be surrounded by a dark cloud of energy. The cloud was sometimes small, sometimes big but it always ended in some odd rain of black energy that coated the person till they resembled some sort of shadow being. How covered and how dark they became seemed to be tied to their actions and some time after that person would experience bad luck.
Sometimes it was something as simple as something breaking right as they were used, be it old or new, and sometimes…sometimes it was a broken bone, getting an illness or even death. But the deaths were never swift, never painless, they were drawn out and full of such misery it was nearly tangible. Tikki couldn’t help but feel proud of what they created, it had some…drawbacks but overall, it was a beautiful, curious thing. Plagg had been so interested in her side of things, he chose to ignore what his had done but that was okay because Tikki found it just as, if not more fascinating than the good luck boost. It was like the world itself demanded justice and it got it when no one or nothing else did. Plagg at first had loved his powers but when he saw the hurt and hate, he stopped loving it, to an extent Tikki understood but at the same time she wanted to knock him upside the head. Without him, there would be no need for her.
It took him a couple decades but he got there, and their strange new power grew the more time passed. It got mixed reviews from their peers and the wide array of gods but some Hindu Gods loved it. They even helped them name it as they had a similar idea but Tikki and Plagg seemed to have brought power to it. It was a great collaboration and thus Karma was born. Tikki and Plagg found it utterly fascinating and found themselves watching the humans for long periods of time. That was until They came back in their weakened state and all the Kwami came together to try and help them, it ended up being all for naught but They were not short of their wisdom and critics even in their final days. They saw Karma and though they found it just as fascinating they also scolded Tikki and Plagg for mixing their powers together without notifying them. It was a messy argument but one that ended with Tikki and Plagg getting to let Karma keep on.
Once they were sealed in the Miraculi though, the effects of Karma weakened. It never disappeared but it did fade into a lesser version of itself. There were rare times where Tikki and Plagg were able to see Karma back in its true form and it was almost always after a Wish or after a catastrophic event in their universe. Karma followed and it healed the balance of the world. Many believed it was the Wish that did this, that took and gave in equal parts but that wasn’t true. The Wish brought about whatever change the Hopeful who had managed to obtain both the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculi together had requested, and yes They took something of equal value to the Hopeful in exchange, but it wasn’t balanced. Karma helped balance out all the negatives that came after such events, but when it was caused by a Wish it tended to be more … unpredictable. It was more powerful, more spread out, more vicious and bountiful.
It would reach everywhere a Kwami, and later, a Miraculous had touched. For those who had any saved up Good Karma, Good Fortune would follow them for a while. How long was never determined as sometimes it went on longer than expected or someone had used up all their collected Good Karma on one big thing. Again, it was unpredictable. The same was true for those who had built up Bad Karma, they could have a lot of low level Bad Fortune or even a lot of high level Bad Fortune. And like Good Fortune, someone could use up all their built up Bad Fortune on something big. When that happened, it was a terrifying sight. The punishments that Karma dictated for those with Bad Fortune could be deadly and some were. Tikki remembered them well. So she knew that no matter what, after Gabriel had made his Wish that Karma would be back in its full power and it was something that would have excited her if she had not been actively losing her latest Bug. She had been so close to losing Marinette and her heart raced whenever she thought about it at Wayne Manor. She wanted her revenge.
That’s why she had asked Them if she could enact Karma, not natural Karma, that would happen regardless. No, Tikki had asked permission for Kwami Karma, a very special type of Karma that allowed Tikki and Plagg and whichever Kwami’s felt wronged or blessed by a former Holder, some of their former power from before they were Sealed and let them bestow Gifts/Blessings. Though some of the Gifts could very well be called curses, that was part of the Kwami Karma and how a Kwami felt towards the person receiving the Karma. It had been something that Tikki and Plagg last collaborated on as a branch of Karma, many people who had worshiped them had called it Divine Honor or Divine Punishment, whichever applied. It was Hippolyta that bestowed the updated name upon them, really she had been joking, “ Ah, so it is to be a Karma of the Kwami? ” The name stuck though as it had made Tikki laugh.
Though the name brought a smile to her face once more, it wasn’t a fond smile nor one born of laughter, no this smile was one that promised vengeance. The wind rushed around her and the others as they flew across the Paris sky.  Bruce hadn’t been happy about what they were going to do and yet he had still offered to take them to Paris, Tim had even thought about letting them use something called a Zeta-Tube, they were both very nice offers but this was something that had to be done only by the Kwami. Thankfully they had been given some of their former power that morning, it had been hard to hide it from the new family but Tikki thought they had managed well. Kaalki had opened a portal for them after they had all said goodbye to little Marietta, some goodbyes took longer than normal despite everyone knowing they would be home before the day was up but Tikki couldn’t be mad about it. Marietta deserved every bit of love she got.
“So, are we doing the announcement first or the Gifts first, Lovebug?” Plagg asked, his voice fluctuating between the high-pitched one Tikki had gotten used to hearing and his old one, his original voice, the one she missed more than she could say.
“The announcement will be first, but before that, we need to give out some Gifts .” Her voice fluctuated too now that they were close to accomplishing their Karma.
“Are we starting with…with them, then?” Nooroo asked, his voice soft no matter if it was fluctuating. He had yet to raise his voice above anything other than a soft tone and it hurt Tikki’s heart to see her fellow Kwami like that. It made her furious.
“Yes, Nooroo. We are starting with the worst of them. Gabriel Agreste and-” Tikki started.
“And Adrien Agreste.” Plagg finished in a hard voice. She gave a short nod as she didn’t know what to say to help Plagg. He was betrayed once more and so was one of her Bugs and it never got easier to deal with.
It wasn’t long before they got to the Agreste Mansion and Tikki felt all her anger and fury rise once more. She looked at the others, then toward Nooroo who flew to her side to join her and Plagg. The others gave them nods before they found spots to hide on the property until Tikki called them. Tikki looked at Nooroo who was staring blankly at the large window in the back of the mansion where the lair had been, he was shaking slightly. “Come. They will get what they deserve My Friend, and you will get closure.”
“I would like to come as well, if you don’t mind. I know my Holder is no more, but…” Tikki turned back to see Duusuu floating a little behind them all. Her voice was hopeful yet weak. She was still recovering from the damage that had befallen her Miraculous and now that They had fixed it, her recovery was a sure thing, but it was a slow process. Tikki hadn’t even wanted Duusuu to fly out with them all, but she was a stubborn Kwami. Tikki couldn’t deny her, her own closure in that mansion.
“Of course Duusedda,” It had been many many years since the Kwami as a whole have used their full names, but this was an important moment and Tikki felt like the Kwami before her deserved to hear her own name in full before they all confronted the Agrestes. The smile she got in response made her resolve all the more stronger. So the four Kwami phased into the mansion and followed the voices. Plagg took the lead on the flight as he was the more familiar with the house, Nooroo was confined to two rooms so wasn’t all that familiar with the home if you could even call it that.
Tikki could hear the voices more clearly and did not hesitate to go towards the doors and use a power boost to blow them open. She had not been expecting the sight of Emilie Agreste to strike her like it did but she did not let it hinder her mission. Though, a big part of her wished that the woman was included in her Karma. She may not have been revived with her consent but she almost took her Baby Bug from her and that was not something Tikki tolerated. For the sake of balance and for Them , she would not do anything to the woman, plus nothing Miraculous would affect the woman since she was a product of a Wish, it was something Tikki brooded about a lot before this day. She may not be able to touch the woman, but she could touch Gabriel and Adrien who were present and immediately tried to fight off whatever kept them stuck to their chairs. Tikki, Duusuu, Plagg and Nooroo all made their way to the center of the table, which was a longer flight than Tikki expected. What was the point of such a long table? No reasons seemed to be good enough reasons to Tikki and by the look on Plagg’s face, she knew she wasn’t alone in the thought.
“Hello Gabriel.” Nooroo said, his voice surprisingly and not so surprisingly was cold as steel. Gabriel looked like he was yelling silently at them all but Tikki felt no need to subject them all to his pathetic voice and demands. Unlike Nino’s family who were frozen and aware, the Agreste’s could move their upper body and somewhat legs, they were just stuck to the chairs they sat in and the chairs were firmly stuck to the floor. Tikki did steal their ability to talk or more so muted them as she did not need them to try and justify their actions, she did not want to hear their anger, hers was louder and they would be her first audience.
“Kid.” Plagg said with a smile that was all teeth. His pupils slit so thin they almost looked like they disappeared in the sea of green that was his sclera.
“Emilie, it is nice to see you awake.” Duusuu said softly, Tikki didn’t agree with her statement but well, the Peacock Kwami always was one of the nicer beings. They were nice but they did hold grudges for a long amount of time if someone wronged them. They got attached fast though, though to say that would make Tikki a hypocrite.
“I won’t drag this out. The less time I have to be in the presence of you three would be a blessing.” Tikki growled out. She swiftly looked at Nooroo and Plagg and the three of them shared a grim nod. “Gabriel Agreste, former holder of the Butterfly Miraculous, you have been deemed an enemy of the Miraculi. As such you are forbidden from wielding any Miraculous as long as you shall live.”
The shock in Gabriel’s eyes was delicious as was the panic in Adrien’s. Emilie looked horrified but not shocked and that also gave Tikki some pleasure but not as much as she thought it would. “You, Gabriel Agreste are the catalyst to this Karma, in a way, I suppose I could thank you but that would be giving you too much credit. Besides, you do not deserve my thanks or anyone else’s. You invoked my wrath. You killed my Chosen! You destroyed her! Erased her. I take great pleasure in bestowing unto you, your Karma. I, Tikki, Kwami of Creation curse you with memory.”
Gabriel, who had been doing his best to escape the chair, paused at her words. Was the man really that surprised? Did he truly not think there would be consequences to his actions? The thought made Tikki sneer.
“You will remember the prices others paid for your selfishness. You will remember Nathalie,” Emilie looked genuinely shocked at the name of her friend and equally heartbroken. “Your devoted right hand who did and would do everything for you. You will dream of the woman you erased from the world. You will see every time she sacrificed her happiness for you and your whims. You will feel the love she had for you and the pain she felt every time her love was rejected, you will feel the pain she was in once she started using the Peacock Miraculous. This pain will last for all the years Nathalie Adeline Sancoeur was alive.”
Emilie was sobbing but her tears were silent due to the magic that was placed on all three Agrestes. She was yelling, presumably at Gabriel who was not paying her any attention. His face was pale, his mouth agape. “You will also remember Marinette Meiying Dupain-Cheng, also known as Li-Mei by her family in China. You will be plagued by visions of possible futures had you not taken her from this world. You will see how Paris would have mourned her as the hero Ladybug, as the classmate many admired and also her as the kind baker’s daughter. You will never know rest. My final ‘ gift ’ upon you Gabriel Agreste, is the gift of a long, healthy life. And for my parting curse, as I am Creation and Creation is me, I curse you with the loss of skill. You will retain your creative spirit but you will never be able to bring to life one of your ideas ever again.”
Next up was Nooroo, he looked nervous but determined. “I, Nooroo, Kwami of Transmission bestow upon you the curse of never wielding my Miraculous as long as you live. You corrupted a Miraculous, you imprisoned me and you did it all with no hesitation, no remorse and I will repay that to you. With no hesitation in my heart and no remorse to be felt I bestow the marks of a traitor to me and an enemy of the Miraculi unto you Gabriel Agreste.”
As soon as the last word fell from Nooroo’s lips, Gabriel spasmed and clutched at his chest and back. His silent screams meant nothing to the Kwami but it seemed like they affected both Emilie and Adrien who tried to reach out to Gabriel. Their mouths were asking questions no one could or would answer. Nooroo felt no relief or vindication at what he had done and would do but he also felt no guilt. “I also give you the…’gift’ of memory and pain. You will remember each ‘akuma’ you created and all the pain they caused to the people of Paris. You will feel each death as if it were your own, you will feel the break of each bone and you will feel the sting of each scratch. That is my parting gift to you, I have nothing else to say.”
Plagg put a hand on Nooroo’s shoulder and gave him a rueful grin before he took his place in front of Gabriel. “I, Plagg, Kwami of Destruction curse you Gabriel Agreste, with a curse of destruction. As I am Destruction and Destruction is me, I bestow upon you this curse of destruction, you will destroy every relationship you have, had and are going to have. No one will ever trust you, no one will ever like you and no one will ever love you again. You tore relationships and strained them during your tantrum as Hawkmoth, you will experience that first hand now.”
With Plagg’s final words Tikki knew their curses and gifts were placed and finalized. She watched impassively as Gabriel tore his shirt off and finally saw what his marks were. Emilie had a hand over her mouth as she stared in horror at the red, irritated and raised skin on his chest that took the shape of the Butterfly Brooch, he would carry the reminder of his failures by the burn on his chest. It would never fade, it could never be removed or covered by tattoos. It was his brand as an enemy, it would be the first of many marks given today but his and Adrien’s would be the only ones whose marks caused them pain. Everyone else would possibly feel a slightly uncomfortable itch at first or nothing when given their marks. But these two? These two deserved the pain Tikki felt, they had caused her and many others pain by almost taking away her Baby Bug, so they would feel pain in return. Let the world know that they, the Kwami, were not as benevolent as rumored or to be believed, they were higher beings of morally gray standings and it was time they showed it.
Gabriel turned around to show Nooroo’s parting mark, the mark that he betrayed the Kwami. Two large yet not so deep gashes ran across his back, deep enough to scar, which was Nooroo’s goal. The gashes were parallel and symmetrical, if Gabriel had had wings, Tikki was sure that’s where they would have been placed on his back. Gabriel had lost his wings and now it was time to show the whole of Paris that. “We have punished you, Gabriel Agreste, as we see fit, but the people of Paris haven’t punished you yet. So, as a peace offering you will be locked in one of their jails, La Santé. Should anyone…desire to help you, they will be sorely disappointed to find you can never leave. I am not cruel, you will be provided meals even if those at the prison decide not to give you some. You will be provided a TV so you can watch everything happen around you. So mote it be.”
Just like that, Gabriel was gone from his seat, Emilie was crying while Adrien also looked close to tears but was yelling at them. His hair was a mess, his face red and spittle flying from his mouth. He looked as unhinged as Tikki imagined, she knew the boy was hiding a darker side like all did, she just never thought it reached this far. All Black Cat’s had darker sides but they all knew how to control it or embrace it, Adrien was not one of those that could do so. It was a mark, one of many of a False Cat. Thankfully, they would leave this place soon. “Adrien Agreste, former holder of the Cat Miraculous, you have been deemed an enemy of the Miraculi. As such you are forbidden from wielding any Miraculous as long as you shall live.”
Adrien stopped his silent screaming and looked at her like she had grown another head, honestly, she wasn’t even one of the Kwami that did possess two heads in the original form, so she felt like it was rude. “You can glare at me all you want, little boy, but it will do nothing to help you. You are the one who betrayed the Miraculi, not the other way around. As such, I, Tikki, Kwami of Creation bestow upon you the curse of memory. You will remember Marinette, you will remember every instance she put her happiness aside for your own. You will see all the times your ‘flirting’ made her uncomfortable as Ladybug and Marinette. You will see every time you let her down. You will remember Nathalie and every time she made excuses for you and all the times she got in trouble because of you. They also give you a curse, you can never tell anyone about the Miraculi, about us Kwami, but if asked you will only admit to being the traitor Chat Noir. Finally, I bestow upon you a gift. You never wanted Marinette so I shall make everything she ever gave you, turn to ash. It’s only fair after all. My gift will make it so you won’t be so cruelly reminded of Marinette, well, visually at least.”
After saying her peace, Tikki flew to the flowers in the middle of the table and sat upon a leaf, though she would hear everything, she wanted to give Plagg his space to say his own peace. She knew it was going to be hard on him but he always did prefer to show his emotions in private so he wouldn’t break in front of his peers. He rarely let Tikki in so she felt bad that they were present for this moment, but it was needed. She watched as Plagg flew towards Adrien and landed in front of the boy far enough to not be grabbed. His antennae were flat against his head and back, it hurt Tikki’s heart to see. “Kid… Adrien, I’ve thought long and hard about this. You may not have been my True Chosen, but you had potential and I…I cared for you, I thought you would have grown into a great Cat. You had spirit, but somewhere along the way you lost sight of what was important. My Cats tend to be on the reckless side but they have heart and are more than willing to lend a paw when they are needed. You are not Cat of mine.”
“With all that said, I, Plagg, Kwami of Destruction bestow upon you the curse of Bad Luck. You will forever be plagued with bad luck, some days can be better than others but that will all depend on you. If you genuinely do something to help someone or comfort someone with no ill intent or selfish gain, your bad luck will be minimal. Do something out of selfishness or deceitfulness and your bad luck will become worse. I will also give you a gift, you care so much about what others think of you I give you the gift of Thoughts. You will hear every single negative thought anyone has had about you. You as Adrien and you as Chat Noir. You, like your father, will bear the marks of enemy and traitor.” Plagg said in a monotone voice. At the end of his speech Adrien spasmed much like Gabriel had but this time he clutched at his right hand before his head was forcefully turned to the side by an invisible force.
Emilie tried to go to her baby boy and Tikki, feeling merciful, allowed it. Emilie shot out of her chair and to Adrien at incredible speed she cradled him to her as best she could while she sobbed. She ran a hand through his hair and pressed a hand to the supposed scratch marks on Adrien’s face and even though he couldn’t hear her, she was trying to calm him as best she could. Her words may not have been heard but her actions were. Well, to Tikki at least. As much as she despised the woman in front of her, she knew it truly wasn’t her fault and let herself feel bad for her. She awoke to pain and even if Tikki believed she had a part in Marinette being erased she also acknowledged it was Gabriel who started everything in a way. Tikki sighed before looking at Duusuu. “Duusuu.”
The Peacock Kwami looked at her and with just a look they knew what she was going to say, so the Kwami gave her a soft smile. “Emilie, I know you never wanted this. But you did ignore my warnings so long ago and though I can’t give a gift of any great weight and can still give you a small one. So I, Duusuu, Kwami of Emotion, bestow the gift of Innocence. No matter what comes to light you will never hold any blame or suspicion. Given what has happened and what will happen, you need not be punished more than you already have.”
“I will not fight Duusuu’s decision.” Tikki said after a while of silence. “We leave you here as I have a broadcast to make but one final word, Adrien, there is… hope for you. You can be rid of your curses if you realize and admit your guilt in all that has happened. That and accept it wholeheartedly, only then will you be free, but you will never rid yourself of your marks. This will be the last time you see us in person.”
No other words were said before the four Kwami left the house. There was no time for delays, Tikki and the others had Karma to deliver and there would be plenty to go around.

alright guys. i have more miraculous-ish content. 3rd pic is felix, marinette, kagami, and nathaniel from left to right. I haven't done a nino yet, but he'll be there when I post a finalized version I swear. Also, either Juleka or Rose, though I havent decided on which.
SO. bit of context before i yap under a cut. this is a co-op work (and potential series of fics) with @frickifiknow and so I only have half of the cast to design; hence no adrien, alya, or chloe in my lineup. they will be yapped about, and perhaps drawn by me, but maybe dont hold your breath. ALso, this is a rewrite, inspired more by the fandom than the actual show (though I am passively re-watching it currently, so we'll see) and will kindof sortof overhaul the entire premise. but that all goes under a cut, so i will see you all there.
alright SO. hi folks. miss me? Miss my rambles? no? your loss, because my yapping is immaculate.
Starting with the world!
There are 12 kwami in total- i love the Chinese zodiac for the show, but I personally don't want that many characters to be active. This will feature a main cast of my personal favorite characters from when I watched this show, and not much else because this is for personal pleasure, not objective quality. Each kwami has a pair, which corresponds to a unifying concept. These arent wholly ironed out yet, but they go: existence, defense, time, devotion, guidance, and experience. more about them and their kwamis to come.
this runs on a multiverse that the kwami of broken worlds can and do break. the idea is that after hawkmoth, the miraculous holders face the breaking of whatever has held the "antikwami" at bay this long, and have to gain higher power to defeat themselves and protect their world, thus allowing us to move on from gabriel agreste as a villain long before season five. The antikwami can only exist in this timeline separate from their counterparts because they are currently fulfilling a separate role; they would (and have) sort of merge into the kwami of this world if "redeemed". The kwami chose to be bound to the miraculous and to human holders in ancient times, as doing so managed to weaken their antitheses as they entered this timeline due to the natural balancing of, like, natural law. what is must be undone, or whatever. The antikwami tend to also pick "holders" of a sort, but it's... a worse process, overall. They cloud one's judgement, enhance all their worst traits, the works. more to come on them, i haven't ironed out all the cracks just yet.
All of my designs hinge on being relatively young versions of the characters, as you tend to get more power as you get older, and as you gain experience with the miraculous. Early on, any animal parts will be stuck onto clothing, with ear and horn details coming from masks and tails being attached to belts and capes. later, more high-powered designs will look grander and feature more naturalistic inclusions from the animal (including functional wings for ladybug, possibly) as the holders grow closer to their kwami.
It's 2am, I have school in the morning, and I gotta go. Thanks for reading, or not, reblogs > likes, like and subscribe or something, gn

Something of a spin on "Miraculous Classroom" idea of @princess-of-the-corner fame.
Summary: When Carline helped Chloe smuggle Adrien into the school system, she also took the opportunity to... Tweak her class roster.
Only a little, just enough that she could finally have the time to focus on the students who needed more guidance, be it with work and education, illnesses or... attitude.
Unfortunately, her carefully laid plans come to naught when Marinette's cooler opens to reveal not a cake, but ten little gods intent n reclaiming their lost siblings.
& her students want to help them.
A Miraculous what if/AU, there are twelve Kwami, nine students, several early transfers and at least one responsible adult!
What If: This elements are fairly self explanatory.
Fu, rather than combat Hawk Moth directly wanted to take the Kwami to a shrine or temple somewhere outside of Paris, to find new potential students and bearers to restart the order and then deal with Hawk Moth. However thanks to happenstance and a little magic from a few impatient Kwami, the cooler he was using to hide the box got swapped with Marinette's and then she revealed them to the class on accident.
&
Gabriel could not have been the one to put Adrien in the school system so I can only assume Chloe did something. In this case, she collaborated with Carline, who used the situation to finally get her "Troubled Teens" class idea off the floor. Though in exchange she gets all the exchange students.
& some transfers happened earlier, Marinette low key already knows ALya & Kagami & Lila are already here. Also the reason Sabrina isn't is cos Carline felt her issues were mostly in response to Chloe and that separating them would be healthiest. She is still dedicated to helping these kids!
Alternate Universe: This has to do with world building more than anything.
Long story short, I found some of the later Kwami way over powered, or utterly useless and some of the older one's too one note. As a result I re-structured and combined different elements to make the twelve fundamental forces.
What's more they also came about in distinct eras. So Snake is technically the oldest, but its alongside Ladybug due to being a chicken & egg situation. Meanwhile Cat is "Younger" by microseconds.
Similarly, the next eras concepts also emerged at around the same time as they kind of relied on one another to exist or for an opposite, or to function.
After that however things get a bit more drawn out, with Horse predating its siblings, and Fox being elder than Peacock and Butterfly who are essentially the babies of the family.
Creation Ladybug - Creation & Good Fortune Snake - Ouroboros & Entirety/Time Cat - Destruction & Misfortune
Post Creation Tiger - Ignition & Havoc Dragon - Storm & Power Bee - Order & Subjugation
Early Life Horse - Action & Migration Turtle - Protection & Resilience Mouse - Multiplication & Duplication
Animal Eras Fox - Mirage & Materialization Peacock - Emotion & Evocation Butterfly - Transmissions & Transformation
As to why the Kwami did this, well, not all were in on it, it was mostly Sass, Trixx, Pollen & Roaar who were in on it. With Plagg endorsing once he knew while Tikki & the others are either neutral or less in favor.
Its basically a debate on doing it now or doing it the "proper" way but all have distinct motivations and some even just a general desire to have more freedom.
Here is how everyone partners up:
After the initial release, chaos and confusion, things break into several smaller factions. With Carline, a nervous & blaming herself Marinette, Sass & very irritated Tikki trying to bring order or at least sense. All while other interactions take place which people drift in and out of the conversations and exactly what is going on and why is explained and bonds are formed.
Marinette & Tikki partner cos both of them are getting stress migrains trying to understand/manage the situation and Alya's like, "Oh gosh she even gets stressed like you do, perfect match!"
Chloe gets Pollen because she slapped Plagg across the room after he mistook her jacket for cheese & was unafraid when he started going all "I am the god of destruction" on her. Such an impeccably strong will is the only one fitting for the Kwami of order & subjugation.
Adrien got Plagg by intervening to stop the fight & or murder by offering food: "Hey, uh I totally have some cheese with me, I was kind of just grabbing stuff at random in the cupboard this morning cos it was dark, so feel free to it." - Minutes later "Where do you put it all!?" - "In ma belly!!!!" So he's Plagg's fave by default.
Alya is so excited and eager to jump in and opinionated on the fact Kwami damn right deserve the chance to rescue their siblings when they want to and also can she have an interview please. That Trixx decides they like her vibes and the two start discussing mythic heroes and comic books.
Lila's boastful nature catches the attention of Kaalki who decides she would be a "suitable" bearer. Lil is already cooking up BS claims about having done vigilantism before, but living with Kaalki will be another matter.
Ways and Nino is mostly because Nino is the only one to really notice and try to check up on the turtle who seems really down about the whole situation and they share a chill vibe.
Rose & Mouse is basically them both going "Oh you are so cute" while Tiger assumes Juleka is a wild child cos of her goth aesthetic. At first she is disappointed but it turns out having a second identity lets Juleka go fuck wild so it works.
Dragon & Kagami is obvious cos family symbiology and her already having a sword & a proper manner of speaking which works with Longg's archaic manner.
Carline only end up agreeing to work with Sass because his powers can ensure the students don't die. "My power is to watch over you so you do not die."
Thus we have:
Snake - Ouroboros & Entirety/Time Carline Ladybug - Creation & Good Fortune Marinette Cat - Destruction & Misfortune Adrien Tiger - Ignition & Havoc Juleka Dragon - Storm & Power Kagami Bee - Order & Subjugation Chloe Horse - Action & Migration Lila Turtle - Protection & Resilience Nino Mouse - Multiplication & Duplication Rose Alya - Mirage & Materialization
The shifts in powers in some cases are not immense, though a few noteworthy are:
Tiger is more like creating explosions with imbalances in the universe. Mouse can multiply themself but also duplicate objects and creatures. Fox can make some illusions physical and place illusions in people's heads. Bee can sting objects and command them to obey via impose.
What's more, the powers are not one use only, strictly speaking.
What happens is that you can use lesser versions of the powers multiple times, or you can use the payload once.
So Chloe can for example sting five enemies and keep them all still for one minute at a time. Or she can sting one enemy and keep it still for five minutes. Lila can teleport herself around a great deal but portals tucker her out, ETC.
The basic sequence of events from meeting Kwami to super heroes, is mostly everyone getting just enough context. Sass conceding he should have consulted Tikki but standing by the decision to try and rescue their siblings- They are interrupted by thunderous roaring as an Akuma begins tearing up the streets of Paris.
Bustier: Class, no one and I mean no one is to try using magic, let alone revealing this or racing off into danger. Am I understood- Akuma (Attacking a few blocks away) Sass: I could literally feel that about to happen as you spoke.
The students break up into:
Team: "Has zero plan but wants to fight!" Chloe, Kagami, Adrien, Alya, Rose. They are also enabled by Lila opening a portal.
Alya: Wooh, time to be a hero, Trixx Transform moi! Chloe: I won't let anyone get ahead of me, or destroy Paris, Pollen, Transform moi! Adrien: Hey wait for me, this sounds exciting and also I don't want you to die! Kagami: A battle, heroic and wicked forces clashing? This is what I was born for! Rose: Oh no, that monster is where the hospital is, Mullo, Transform Moi!
Team: "Does not want to do this but has to" Marinette, Nino, Carline, Juleka & technically Lila as she wants to avoid danger.
Juleka: Girlfriend noooo (Trails after her) Marinette: I can't let Alya die, or Chloe try to be a hero, she'll kill us all! Nino: Ok several friends in danger now, guess I gotta do it. Lila: Well, I have a little experience in these matters, maybe I can help us all along to save my new home?
Sass: My power would allow you to better ensure their safety. Bustier: … Sass… Transfor moi. (Runs after them)
& that is basically the just of it!
Also thanks to @generalluxun for convincing me Trixx definitely belongs with Alya! Kaalki and Lila is too good a combo to pass up as well.

Into Another World - Ladybugs
Table of Contents
Gateways in the sitting room between worlds lit up. Portals spun and people emerged from them all in various ladybug-themed outfits. They all exchanged glances as Lord Bug’s eyes widened.
“No way! More of you guys!” Lord Bug cheered.
            “More? Absolution Ladybug asked.
“Yeah! More of us, ladybugs. I met some others, not ladybugs, by other versions of me and my friends. We teamed up to take down something called the Supreme. It was honestly a joke, but what can you do?”
“Interesting. So, we’re all just other ladybug holders from other worlds?” Carmine asked.
“That’s what it looks like. Well, for most of us. I can’t really tell with you guys,” Lord Bug said as he pointed to a pair of Marinettes, one tall and toned while the other short and chubby, a Juleka with red violet dyed tips in an adventurer’s outfit, and an Adrien in a black prince outfit with red and green details.”
“I was blessed by Tikki a long time ago. Well, my ancestors. That blessing lived on in my blood that grants me powers,” Court of Miracles Marinette boasted.
“I was blessed too, but more recently by the kwami god of creation,” Scions Juleka announced.
“I’m a lot like that Marinette, except I was also blessed, or cursed, with Plagg as well,” Rapture Adrien admitted.
“I was gifted the power of Creation to combat the power of Destruction and free my city of their family’s tyranny,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette remarked.
“Then why aren’t you transformed like the rest of us?” Siren’s Song Lady Beetle asked.
“Transformed?” Juleka, Adrien, and Court of Miracles Marinette asked.
“They mean with the jewels you get from the kwamis to put on tacky, well, tackier suits like they all have,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette commented.
“Tacky? Excuse you! I designed this biker outfit myself!” Separate Worlds Lady Beetle protested.
“Yeah! My girlfriend made my suit and she’s a remarkable designer!” Lord Bug added.
Hope puffed out her cheeks and stomped her foot.
“Hey! Roller derby clothes aren’t tacky, bitch!” Bloody Bug yelled.
“That’s for debate, but do you really have any room to speak? The suit and everything sells gangster a little too much, don’t you think? You honestly look more like a walking cliché,” Carmine spat.
“And what do you expect of me? To just run around in dresses, skirts, high heels, and blouses to take on another mafia boss? Let alone one that is the black cat? No, I think not. I would rather not be transformed unless absolutely necessary,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette snapped back.
“Well, good for you that you don’t need your powers to take on your villain, princess. Some of us need ours otherwise we’d be dead,” Absolution Ladybug yelled.
Of Virtue and Sin Marinette’s nostrils flared. “Call me ‘princess’ one more time. I dare you.”
Absolution Ladybug opened her mouth when Bloody Bug jumped in the way.
            “Princess!” Bloody Bug hissed.
Of Virtue and Sin Marinette growled and raised her hand when Scarlet Lord jumped in the middle of them.
“Ok! I think that’s enough of that. I don’t think we were brought here to fight. I’m not sure why we’re all here, but let’s try to get along, right? Why don’t we all just sit down and talk?” Scarlet Lord suggested.
“I agree! I want to get to know you guys. The ones I met before were interesting, so I want to learn more about each other,” Lord Bug added.
The others exchanged uncertain glances before they shrugged and took a seat.
“So… where do we start with all this? And why should we care?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Oh, come now, it could be fun, and that’s all it needs to be, but we do need a place to start. Let’s see… oh! What about who our villains are? I can go first. We’re dealing with my dad, who is Papillon. He’s destroyed quite a bit and killed just as much, but also losing his mind. We’ve also sorta got Ripper, who is a blood hungry serial killer. And a little assassin child named Widow,” Lord Bug shared.
“We’ve got a crazy serial killer butterfly holder named Papillon who has been terrorizing the city and entire world for two whole years. Chat Noir was supposed to be our hero, but he failed one too many times. Now I’ll step in to be the hero he wasn’t,” Absolution Ladybug stated.
Lord Bug paled. “I… I, uh, sure he tried his best?”
“Oh, he sure tried his best to be a little attention whore and milk being a hero while everyone else suffered. Fucker is paraded around as a glorified sex symbol more than as a hero,” Absolution Ladybug shot back.
Lord Bug curled his lip in disgust. “That’s… that’s unpleasant. Uh, what about you?”
Separate Worlds Lady Beetle raised her brow. “Me? Well, we don’t exactly have a villain or villains like you two. Me, Snow Owl, and Gold Mouse just help keep the streets clean and free of crime.”
“That’s a noble cause,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette said.
“Oh? Well, thank you. We’ve been doing it for a few years, since we were teens in high school. It was Snow Owl’s idea. Gold Mouse and I joined because we were always a fan of comics and heroes, so the chance to be one was… enticing. It’s not easy, we’ve made mistakes, but we’ve done so much good. Seeing the smiles on peoples’ faces makes it all worth it.”
“I agree with the mafia bitch. That’s very noble. Reminds me of why I took on the ladybug,” Carmine added.
“Why did you?” Separate Worlds Lady Beetle asked.
Carmine stared at the coffee table. “My sister and I watched a villain rise that was set on destroying the world. We watched him as nothing was able to stop the monsters he created by twisting normal people into abominations. He was killing so many with the monsters and no one could stop him. When my sister and I were given the chance to stop him, we leapt at it. For the longest time, all we could do was contain his rampage to Paris. It wasn’t until a golden dragon warrior rose from the ashes that we were finally able to do more than just contain him.”
“That sounds a lot like my father,” Lord Bug said.
“And our Papillon,” Absolution Ladybug added.
“Something like ours too,” Metal Bug added.
“What’s yours like?” Lord Bug asked.
“Well, he’s not alone, but definitely the leader. Manipulative and cunning, but also terribly cruel. He works alongside the peacock, rooster, ant, and black cat. He’s currently also have Bumblebee under his thumb along with the ox and white cat because of Bumblebee,” Metal Bug explained.
“Wait! Bumblebee? Your Marinette?” Lord Bug asked.
            “Y-yeah? You know her?”
“Yeah! I met her. She talked about you and her Adrien. That must mean you’re Luka!” Lord Bug cheered.
“You’re a Luka?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Uh, let’s get to topic. Uh, what about you? What’s your villain?” Metal Bug asked as he pointed to Hope.
Hope tilted her head and pointed to herself. She considered, stood up, and waved her arms around in a flapping motion.”
“What is this? Is this a game of charades?” Carmine asked.
“Use your voice,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette scolded.
Hope huffed and pouted. She reconsidered before she grabbed her yo-yo and slammed it onto the table. She swiped up on it as it opened. Creation energies poured from it, and she worked with them. She sculpted them into a life-size model of Echidna.
“What the hell? Why are you fighting a fairy?” Juleka asked.
Hope flicked her hand as echoes of Echidna’s voice repeated “Paradise.”
“Paradise? What’s Paradise?” Absolution Ladybug asked.
“A very dangerous power. Those that possess the powers of Life, Nature, Transformation, Protection, and Beauty are able to create a literal heaven, untouchable and unkillable, but sacrifices the rest of the land to make it, creating a barren wasteland outside of Paradise,” Adrien explained.
Hope bounced as she pointed at Adrien.
“Your butterfly seeks to make Paradise?” Adrien asked.
            Hope nodded.
“Does she have all the components?”
Hope shook her head. She flicked her hand again to reveal the peacock Erinona, the turtle knight Alexiares, and the dragon Delphyne.
“There’s no snake here. They don’t have the snake?”
            Hope gave a thumbs up.
“That’s a relief. Make sur they don’t get the snake. With the snake, Paradise will be made.”
Hope nodded and gave a thumbs up, then pointed to Adrien.
“Huh? Me? Oh, I don’t exactly have a villain, unless you count politics?” Adrien remarked.
“Same here,” Court of Miracles Marinette commented.
“Politics and a little of everything else that comes with being an adventurer,” Juleka added.
“Oh, gosh, how do you all manage to deal with that nonsense?” Bloody Bug asked.
            The three shrugged.
“What about you, short stacks?” Carmine teased.
Bloody Bug shot Carmine a glare. “We were dealing with a fool butterfly user until a peacock came into the picture, Mayura. She’s a dangerous, manipulative bitch and she just loves to toy with us and that very fact that she’s leagues ahead of us.”
“Mayura? You mean she’s evil?” Lord Bug asked.
“I… I don’t fucking know. She does bad things. Fuck she nearly got my brother killed if I hadn’t saved him. But we learned she’s doing this because she wants to, I guess, do right by the kwamis, whatever that may mean,” Bloody Bug said.
“Oh, that sounds almost like what happened with us. We were fighting Hawkmoth, also a crazy butterfly holder. He managed to get all the miraculous to fuse together, but when he did, he reforged Velze, so was quick to set things right for his, uh, kids,” Scarlet Lord explained.
            “Wait. For real?”
“Yeah. He even distributed the miraculous out according to the new concepts.”
            “New concepts?”
“Yeah. Obviously creation is creation still, but take the peacock for example. It was emotions, but now its beauty.”
“It hasn’t always been beauty for you guys?” Lord Bug asked.
“No,” Scarlet Lord and Bloody Bug said.
            “That’s… odd,” Lord Bug commented.
“Very. Why would the peacock ever be something like emotions? Especially when all it knows is how to be a pretty little bird,” Court of Miracles Marinette mocked.
“Pretty is a stretch. Granted the person I know that was gifted the peacock jewel is a pimp,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette remarked.
            “A what?” everyone yelled.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. My family heads and myself have seen the peacock pimp often, usually in the presence of the other mafia boss, the Black Cat. We’ve tried to get information, but the lanky bitch won’t snitch,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette prattled.
“And why is your black cat so… against you?” Coccinella asked.
“Reverse it. I’m against him. He thinks he can just scare everything and demand respect through fear, he’s got another thing coming. I was gifted the ladybug, his opposite, to bring him down and restore balance. I will rule with respect to drive away his fear,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette answered.
“Sounds a lot like the cat I have to deal with, in all his sexy glory,” Siren’s Song Lady Beetle cooed.
“I’m sorry, what did you just say?” Absolution Ladybug asked.
“I agree, what the fuck?” Bloody Bug snapped.
“What? Can you really blame a girl for finding her enemy attractive in all his raw, brutish, animal magnetism? I’d never tell my mother, but I could never bring that guy down, even though he fights against us to make a better future. I do wonder if I could convince him to fight with me, but then I just get lost in everything,” Siren’s Song Lady Beetle remarked.
“Why are you smitten with your enemy? You should be bringing them down. Not attempting to convert them to your ways,” Coccinella scolded.
“Oh, come on. Are you telling me you wouldn’t get weak in the knees having this big, brutish, muscular, unhinged man towering over you threatening to crush you like the little bug you are?” Siren’s Song Lady Beetle challenged.
Court of Miracles Marinette bit her lip. “Ok, I can’t blame the girl. That’s basically my Kitten.”
“Seriously? How can either of you justice having time for romance with your responsibilities, be it politics or a villain,” Coccinella challenged.
“Why not? I mean, don’t you?” Lord Bug asked.
“No! I have a whole team to keep in check as we battle a pair of bitches for who knows what they want. I don’t have time for any of that nonsense,” Coccinella shot back.
“I don’t see why not. I mean, I’m with a few of my fellow heroes,” Lord Bug admitted.
            “Same,” Metal Bug added.
“Well, love is sort of a thing with politics. I mean, I have to compete with other royalty for the hand of the Crown Empress. So, you know, right?” Adrien commented.
“I agree with the Adrien. My Elders put me and Felix together to produce more Highborn heirs. That and I was going to be stuck with Felix regardless, so it’s just easier this way. I’m just lucky he knows how to make a girl feel special.”
“Felix?” Lord Bug, Metal Bug, Bloody Bug, Of Virtue and Sin Marinette, and Juleka asked while Hope curled her lips in disgust.
Court of Miracles Marinette nodded. She looked to the imitation Delphyne and reworked it to look like her Felix.
Lord Bug’s jaw dropped. “That’s Felix?”
“He looks so different,” Separate Worlds Lady Beetle whispered.
“What’s with the scars?” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette asked.
“Oh, that? That’s because of his father, Colt. Funny story. See, growing up, Colt was very rough on Felix as was necessary since the Black Cat is the enforcer for the Court. Whenever Felix dared to show any signs of weakness, Colt would inflict terrible sounds that would always scar. He started with Felix’s face before moving to the rest of his body,” Court of Miracles Marinette explained.
“That’s… that’s fucked up. You’re saying he has scars all along his body?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Oh, yes. Sometimes when the slimy snake, Sass, feels Felix steps out of line, he reopens all of Felix’s scars as punishment. It’s usually a messy thing with all the blood, and Felix always passing out from blood loss, but no biggy as they always heal again.”
“Oh my. My Felix is nothing like that. He’s just a musical theater actor. That’s horrifying thinking this could have been him,” Separate Worlds Lady Beetle whispered.
“I’m not with my Felix, but that’s awful. I know the Felix in my world is under his father’s thumb, but I don’t know to what degree,” Metal Bug added.
“Then who are you with?” Court of Miracles Marinette asked.
“Huh? Oh, uh, my Marinette, Kagami, and Adrien,” Metal Bug answered.
Lord Bug gasped. “Me too. Well, replace Adrien with Luka because I’m Adrien.”
“My, you dogs. Well, I suppose not. The Adrien and Luka I know are just as much whores,” Court of Miracles Marinette mocked.
“Hey, what’s wrong with multiple partners, fatass? I may not have more than Pom Pom, but I’m open for more. And she’s got Juleka,” Bloody Bug snapped.
Court of Miracles Marinette held up her hands. “Never said there was anything wrong with it. It just doesn’t surprise me of everyone, it would be versions of them. Nor does it surprise me that those two are fucking. Besides, I have my own eyes on someone else in my Court.”
Juleka pursed her lips as Court of Miracles Marinette winked at her.
“What about you, sweetie? You got any lovers? I imagine all the men and women throw themselves at a beauty like you,” Court of Miracles Marinette teased.
“Uh, well, no. Not that it matters since Luka always gets in my way of getting close to anyone. Like I’m not safe already with her.”
Of Virtue and Sin Marinette tensed up. “Her who?”
“She’s… she’s no one. I mean, she is. She’s a warrior clad in crimson armor. A defender of the weak and sword for the defenseless. Blessed by the kwami god Longg, bearing the curse of destructive flames, she roams the land. We’ve given her the title, Crimson Death, for when she jumps in, no villain is left alive from her burning, crimson glory,” Juleka explained.
“Sounds like a case of hero worship,” Absolution Ladybug commented.
“Or a hero crush. Quite romantic,” Separate Worlds Lady Beetle cooed.
“Sounds like a bad bitch. You should totally hit that,” Siren’s Song Lady Beetle added.
            Juleka blushed.
Of Virtue and Sin Marinette tsked. “Enough! Leaved her alone. If we insist on this topic, why not someone else share? You, the pink bug with pig tails.”
Hope bounced and nodded. She reshaped the creative energies back to Delphyne. She silently fangirled as she mimicked a dragon.
“You like your dragon?” Carmine asked.
            Hope nodded and grinned.
“That’s adorable. There’s something about dragons that are lovable, isn’t there?”
            Hope jumped and clapped.
“Is yours a dragon?” Court of Miracles Marinette asked.
“Please. That dragon would never speak with me. Besides, my heart was stolen by a sly little trickster,” Carmine admitted.
“My, how scandalous. What about you, little man bug? Any special ladies in your life?” Court of Miracles asked.
“Who? Me? Oh, no! I mean, not that I don’t know any ladies. Rather there’s, uh, well there’s a guy I might sorta kinda like. But that’s a whole different story. Uh, anyway, what about you, uh, you?” Scarlet Lord rambled.
“Me? Simple. I’m engaged to my Luka. We dated in high school, kept up a long distance relationship, until recently when he asked me to marry him. Obviously I said yes because he’s the music of my soul,” Absolution Ladybug answered.
“Aww! How romantic is that?” Lord Bug gushed.
“Nauseatingly so. Can we talk about something else already?” Bloody Bug demanded.
“Like what?” Court of Miracles Marinette asked.
“Oh! How about how we became the ladybugs? Or just about ourselves in general?” Lord Bug suggested.
“Excellent idea. I’ve been curious about the pigtailed pink bug,” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette commented.
Hope gave a nervous smile. She morphed the imitation Delphyne into a sequence of memories. Everyone watched Hope, as Marinette, sat in the back seat of a car that was rammed by a speeding car. Everything was a blur as the fire started. The memory faded into Hope at the hospital, hooked up to every machine possible. That scene faded to the years Hope spent recovering until she got Trixx, and then Tikki.
“Unbelievable. You must have survived by a miracle,” Bloody Bug breathed.
            Hope nodded.
“And the accident took your ability to speak?” Of Virtue and Sin Marinette asked.
            Hope nodded.
“What about Tom and Sabine? Are they… gone?”
            Hope nodded.
Absolution Ladybug touched her hand to her heart before she stood and hugged Hope. Hope’s eyes widened as she returned the hug.
“I know what it’s like to lose your parents before you were ready to. I didn’t lose mine like this, but they were still taken from me. But you still look like a teen. Who takes care of you? You’re not alone, are you?”
Hope shook her head. She turned to the projection and shared a memory of Bridgette.
“Who is that?” Absolution Ladybug asked.
“Ugh, Bridgette,” Court of Miracles Marinette commented.
            “Who’s Bridgette?” Absolution Ladybug asked.
“Marinette’s cousin. At least, she’s my Marinette’s cousin,” Lord Bug answered.
Absolution Ladybug shot Court of Miracles Marinette a look, then squeezed Hope. “I’m glad you have someone to look after and love you. Always cherish them.”
Hope gave a smile, then frowned and pointed to Absolution Ladybug sighed.
Absolution Ladybug sighed. “My parents were murdered by my Papillon. She created a monster that butchered Tom and prepared to cook him into pastries and nearly killed Sabine. Sabine saved herself thanks to the ladybug, but still succumbed to her injuries.”
Hope’s eyes widened while Separate Worlds Lady Beetle, Lord Bug, Metal Bug, Adrien, and Of Virtue and Sin Marinette all gasped.
“It hurts, and I’ll make that bitch pay, but always make sure to cherish who you have. And cherish every moment for it could be your last.”
Hope nodded and hugged Absolution Ladybug.
“Well, this is aggressively uncomfortable. Why don’t we lighten the mood. You, next to Metal Bug, what’s your story?” Court of Miracles Marinette barked.
“Me? Oh, uh, funny story. I found out my father was Papillon and had my feelings of betrayal and hatred amplified to the point that he akumatized me and turned me into a rampaging monster that nearly killed everyone, so-,” Lord Bug started.
            Bloody Bug bristled. “Chat Blanc.”
“Huh? Oh, yeah. H-how did you know?” Lord Bug asked.
“Because it was a Chat Blanc that caused the initial destruction of my world. Because of him, another version of me made a reality-altering wish that made me the ladybug holder and fucked up everything,” Bloody Bug hissed.
            “Well, everyone is alive, right?”
“Well, yeah, but that’s not the point. Everything has gone to hell with me as the ladybug. I’m fucked up, my brother was sexually assaulted, his life in shambles, and we’re dealing with a crazy ass peacock woman.”
“Well, I mean, I’d rather all that if it means I don’t have to live with the knowledge that I nearly killed everyone, would have left them with life-altering injuries if not for a miracle serum, leveled the city, and would have… would have… anyway! Let’s move on! What about you?” Lord Bug desperately asked.
Metal Bug raised a brow. “Uh, I made a deal with Tikki to be a songwriter, but it came with me being part of a game she was playing.”
“Well, that sounds fun! Games are always fun,” Lord Bug commented.
“Well, I wouldn’t-,” Metal Bug started.
“What about you, other me?” Lord Bug asked.
“Me? Oh, I was born blessed by Tikki and Plagg and am a Prince of my kingdom,” Adrien answered.
“That sounds like me too. Though I’m no royalty, but a village girl. I was blessed by Tikki, kwami god of Creation, and Sass, kwami god of Life, with an inclination towards life over death. Luka got the death inclination,” Juleka remarked.
“Huh, interesting. What about the tiny tight ass?” Court of Miracles Marinette mocked.
Coccinella bristled. “Oh, fuck you. If you must know, I was approached by Tikki to handle the menace at hand. Nothing more, nothing less. Very much like the other blonde chick here.”
“My, how boring,” Court of Miracles Marinette teased.
“You know what, fuck this. I want out of here. I’m done.”
A portal opened on the far side of the room. Coccinella flipped off Court of Miracles Marinette, then left.
Lord Bug stood. “My, is it that time already? Well, I should… yeah.”
Lord Bug ran through the portal after Coccinella. Juleka slipped around everyone and entered the portal. Of Virtue and Sin Marinette watched her leave before taking her own leave. Metal Bug sighed and left with Scarlet Lord right behind him.
Absolution Ladybug gave Hope a hug. “Stay strong, little bug. We got this.”
Hope smiled through her tears as she hugged Absolution Ladybug. Absolution Ladybug took Hope’s hand as they left through the portal together.
Carmine snorted and strutted out with Bloody Bug behind her. Separate World Lady Beetle and Siren’s Song Lady Beetle considered before they stood and left after Carmine and Bloody Bug. Marinette and Adrien shared a look before they stood.
“Well, this was fun. Don’t you think so?” Marinette asked.
“I must admit, I didn’t hate it. It has left me a touch curious.”
“Indeed. I hope to meet here again. Who knows what else we could meet in this room.”
Adrien nodded before he followed Marinette out of the sitting room.

[1] All Trolls in this AU, are as big as Mount Rageous and Vacaytioners, but the Bergens are giants like in fantasy stories/movies.
[2] Trolls are magic, which means they have immensely overwhelming magic. (They are somewhat similar to the Titans & collectors from Owl House, and Kwamis from Miraculous Ladybug). Trolls are "widely considered among the most magical beings in the world". Wizards, Witches, Sorcerers, Sorceresses, and all kinds of magic users exist here in this AU. Their hair glows, their eyes glow, and they have markings on their body, showing signs of their magical abilities/potential being awakened. When they discovered the strings, the trolls had forgotten about their magical heritage, but some still practice magic in modern times.
The Royals including the subgenre in this AU have more powerful magic than the rest of the people (Their power is beyond what any normal creature could ever dream of physically or magically. Their eyes glow fully white giving off their power level or status) Or that's what everyone else thinks or believes.
However, there is one family that is more powerful than the royal families and than any other troll in existence and it's the Harmony Family (Brozone's Family). The members of the Harmony family possess immensely powerful magic. Brozone was born directly under the lineage of what has to be the most powerful troll family line in current existence. (And also the very reason this family is very careful when to coming having babies in the first place. Brozone is very incredibly powerful and nobody talks about it for some reason. They inherited that destructive potential) But in the Harmony Family lineage, the descendants are different than the rest of their tribe, they have semi-glitter on some parts of their bodies including their hair, have rainbow-colored hair, also have markings/tattoos on semi-parts of their bodies, their eyes' iris are shaped as stars, two front teeth is colored as well, and they can also glow in the dark.
[3] The trolls have the same color tears & blood as the strings. All expect Branch. His tears/blood are rainbow-colored, making him more unique.
[4] In this AU, Branch isn't fully gray anymore, but he is (Dull) blue-cyan thanks to King Peppy and Kismet, so he has no deformities like in the movies. Super resourceful. There is nothing that he doesn’t know about. Owns a bunch of books about medicine and survival stuff. Super smart, but doesn’t know. He assumes that is common knowledge… Owns tons of pretty headbands/crowns. He got one in every color shape (This is Satin and Chenille influence) He got a matching outfit for all of his crowns and headbands (thanks to Satin and Chenille) Branch did gymnastics, trapeze, and martial arts. Adding to the Trolls au idea, Branch is still… well… he's still Branch. The main difference is that it isn't music itself he hates and, while he doesn't like how loud, the other trolls are, he doesn't blame music and singing for killing his grandmother. He blames himself. He is a young troll who is born on the stage and destined to perform but is too scared to do so in public because every time he'd done so before, it led to disaster. He sang with his brothers for their biggest concert ever, and they immediately left him. He sang for his grandmother, and she gets eaten by a Bergan.
[5] In this AU, Classical & Rock Trolls have (Classical) feathery & (Rock) bat wings, but they can be made bigger for concerts! (Their wings can grow or retract similar to the way Pop Troll's hair can!!)
[6] When Viva, Poppy, Clay, and the rest of the Pop trolls have gotten separated from the rest of the tribe and founded the Hole in Fun golf course. Viva is the Queen of her Putt Putt trolls, Poppy is the Prince of the Putt Putt trolls, and Clay is the Royal Advisor and right-hand man. Together, they rule this Golf Course hand in hand, with an iron fist. The first rule? The most important rule? No one leaves. Plain and simple. You live as a Putt-Putt, and you will die as a Putt Putt. That wasn’t the only rule, however, oh no. Discussion of what was outside these walls was forbidden, as to discourage potential escapes. No, Viva and Clay were well aware of what was out there. It wasn’t just Bergens. They arrived at Hole in Fun with a handful of 900,998 Trolls left alive after the Cave In, after facing many hungry Critters, after crossing the Streets, after fighting for so long…Nothing of value was outside of those doors. But Poppy is very curious about the outside world and exploring the unknown, but Viva and Clay forbid it.
[7] Brandi in this AU is a Funk Troll, alongside the kids are Funk/Pop hybrids.
[8] Trolls from every tribe have very strong senses. Good hearing and can easily smell who is coming, what threat it is, scents, etc. However, the only troll being really dang good at it is Branch. He has really strong senses. The other trolls haven’t experienced much, they have a hard time recognizing other smells other than cupcakes and their hearing is not the best…
The trolls (pop, hard rock, funk, classical, country, and techno) themselves are more like Fae/Fairy in their origin; beings of flesh and bone but at the same time sort of also full of magical, musical whimsy, their outward appearance reflects the habitat they attuned themselves to.
Pop Trolls: Pop trolls resonate with vibrant and colorful environments, reflecting the exuberance and energy of popular music. Their appearance is marked by shimmering hues, ethereal glow, and playful accents that mirror the upbeat melodies and rhythms they embody.
Hard Rock Trolls: Hard Rock trolls thrive in rugged landscapes resonant with the power and intensity of rock music. Their forms exude strength and resilience, adorned with metallic textures, intricate tattoos, and rugged features that evoke the raw energy and passion of rock anthems.
Funk Trolls: Funk trolls harmonize with groovy and soulful surroundings, embodying the funky beats and infectious rhythms of their music. Their appearance is characterized by fluid movements, afro hairstyles, colorful attire, and a lively aura that captures the essence of funk music.
Classical Trolls: Classical trolls find solace in elegant and refined settings that echo the timeless beauty of classical music. Their forms exude grace and sophistication, adorned with robes, intricate patterns, and serene expressions that reflect the transcendent melodies and harmonies they embody.
Country Trolls: Country trolls resonate with rustic landscapes imbued with the spirit of country music. Their appearance reflects a connection to nature, adorned with cowboy hats, denim attire, and earthy tones that evoke the simplicity, warmth, and storytelling traditions of country songs.
Techno Trolls: Techno trolls thrive in futuristic and pulsating environments that pulse with the electronic beats of techno music. Their forms shimmer with neon lights, cybernetic enhancements, and sleek designs that mirror the innovation, energy, and digital landscapes of techno music.
Adaptive Evolution: In the early stages of their existence, the Trolls' anatomy evolved in response to the environments they inhabited, allowing them to better adapt and survive. This reciprocal relationship with their surroundings influenced the development of diverse physiological traits and characteristics among the Troll tribes, enhancing their ability to thrive in different habitats.
Environmental Manipulation: With the discovery and harnessing of the Strings' power, the Trolls gained the ability to actively influence and shape their environment to better suit their needs. This newfound power enabled them to transform their surroundings, creating diverse and tailored kingdoms that catered to the unique requirements of each tribe, despite their shared corner of the world.
Varied Kingdoms: The Troll Kingdoms, despite occupying a seemingly limited geographic space, exhibit surprising diversity in their structures, cultures, and adaptations. This diversity is a testament to the Trolls' innate ability to shape and mold their surroundings to align with their distinct preferences and requirements, showcasing a harmonious blend of environmental influence and Troll ingenuity.
Adaptive Prowess: The Trolls' capacity to influence their environment and adapt to changing conditions has allowed them to create dynamic and multifaceted kingdoms that reflect the rich tapestry of their collective heritage and individual identities. Each kingdom stands as a testament to the Trolls' mastery of their surroundings and their ability to thrive in diverse landscapes.
[9] The Trolls are more widespread in the world, but the actual world is rather huge; going off the fact that the Troll Tree was situated in the middle of Bergen Town, and the Bergens built their town around it on purpose, it hints at the Troll territory spanning more than just their little corner in the north of the map. This would explain the awareness of large beings like the Bergens, being aware of Trolls' Existence- specifically Pop (expand on that later)
(After escaping from the Bergens, without knowing or knowledge the power of the Pop String has released a potent form of pheromones, the Pop Tribe evolved a distinct reproductive system that allowed any Troll, regardless of gender or identity, to contribute to the creation of new life. This inclusive approach to reproduction fostered a sense of unity and equality within the tribe, breaking traditional barriers and norms surrounding gender roles and family structures. The ability for any Troll to participate in the creation of offspring led to a rapid increase in the Pop Tribe's population, as individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds were welcomed and embraced. This diversity enriched the fabric of the tribe, bringing together a multitude of talents, perspectives, and experiences under the common banner of the String)
[10] Realizing the destructive power of the Strings early on, they didn’t see danger in it but hidden potential; In particular became not only a representation of their music but also a tool, one that allowed them to power their early machine and synthesize new metals and alloys. They shared this with the Tribes when the effort to instill harmony started, and it was thanks to their help that the troll tribes started leaping into technological advances. They were also the ones to build the Lyre of Harmony, as a way to house all the Strings safely, unaware of the consequences that could bring that.
[11] Before the tribes divided, The Elder Ancestors were afraid that predators or enemies would come to harm them, so they had a discussion about an army they named the String Soldiers they’ll be highly trained and they wear masks to cover their identities even from the normal leaders and they’re giving special weapons and special items and these soldiers only receive orders from the ancestors nobody else.
[12] When the Pop Trolls escaped from Bergen City, The bergens with no trolls to make them happy eventually moved on to a different location/area hoping something there would bring them joy. Expect, Chef and a few bergens are still looking for the trolls believing that trolls are the only ones that can make them happy.
[13] Here, the Pop Trolls have a more diverse fleet of critters than in canon. Originally, since the pop tribe is more massive than in the canon, they have all kinds of critters at their disposal. And the Pop Trolls are more diverse than in the canon as well.

Centuries Overdue
Chapter 7
Gimmi spread out their hands in a grand gesture and stared down at Adrien and Marinette, their gaze somehow threatening, uncaring, and merciful at the same time.
“I don’t understand,” Adrien said in frustration. “You cannot be a kwami. Tikki and Plagg are the eldest kwamis, and the others are all known to the Mages! Who are you?”
“I am Gimmi, kwami of reality,” the being said smoothly. “But I am not surprised that you don’t believe me. Unfortunate as it is, humans and I went down separate paths long ago, and their memories of me have faded. They forgot to be grateful for my Gifts and shoved them back in my face, so I withdrew from them. Who else do you think gave you magic, little Mages? Who first bonded humans and kwamis? Who let mortals see through the veil separating our worlds? It was me. And I have come to regret it.”
Marinette swallowed hard. “You gave humans magic? But I thought each kwami gave their Mages a Gift! Right, Adrien?”
Adrien was frozen, looking ahead at the spectral figure of his parents. After a moment, his gaze slid back to Gimmi, then to her.
“No one knows who gave the Talents their ability,” he said. “No one knows when the first Gift was given, or why. There is much we do not know. And this power we've seen is beyond that of any mortal." His gaze turned accusing as it returned to Gimmi. “You’re the one who caused the Darkness, aren't you? Your being a kwami explains how you survived the great battle. You are the reason so many Talents disappeared and so many died. You plunged the world into chaos, and when we found out, you pretended to die so that we’d stop looking for you.” He looked defiantly at Gimmi, who simply nodded. Adrien's face twisted into an ugly, pained mask as he spat out his question. “Why?”
Gimmi hummed and folded two of their hands together. “Because I regret giving my Gifts, little Mage. I shall explain why before I decide your fate, since you have nowhere to run and I want you to understand why you are here before me.
“I am more powerful than the other kwamis, with far more to offer humanity. Therefore, when I established the bond between kwamis and humans, I promised more than one Gift. The first was that anyone who learned how to summon me would be granted a Wish, one so powerful that nothing could limit what it could do. The second Gift was given when I created the Talents to protect and guide the Mages. It had became clear that the Ungifted humans were jealous of those with Gifts, so through my Gift, I helped Mages keep magic a secret from those who posed a risk to them. For a while, it went well, but the humans are always greedy. They realized that I could give them everything they wanted, and they thought nothing of the cost; and the Universe must always be balanced, so there must always be a cost for a Wish.
"The clouds used to be gorgeous, do you know that? They used to be so full of color; their appearance brought joy to every corner of the world. But, you see, the nobles wanted to have pretty clothes, prettier than anyone else's. They were lazy, and eventually, instead of waiting for others to make him dye or working to make his own, one particularly canny ruler made a Wish. In making it, he stole the color from the clouds. Are you beginning to understand, little Mages?”
“Do I understand why you murdered hundreds of people, including my parents? And me? From a story about wishes!? What do you think,” Adrien hissed.
Gimmi shrugged their shoulders. “Fine, I will keep going. You understand that there is no escape for you now, but I want you to understand the full weight of your crimes before I punish you for them."
Oh, great. The giant, glowy kwami is going to lecture us before we get turned into faceless monsters. How exciting, Marinette thought drily.
"I was abused for centuries through humans' misuse and hatred," Gimmi continued. "To save myself, I withdrew into this realm. Humans mostly forgot I existed; and since my Gifted humans lacked the flashy powers you Mages have, they were overlooked, and their Gift-Giver was forgotten. Even my title was forgotten, along with my people,” Gimmi said mournfully. “Then, word got out to the Ungifted of a being whose magic could grant them any wish they wanted. And they cursed me for not using my great powers to give them all easy lives.
“They blamed me for their deaths, for their illnesses, for every little thing, from ‘bad luck’ to the plague. I remained here to make them forget me, preferring isolation and anonymity to such unwarranted hate. I asked my fellow kwamis not to speak my name to humans, and though they respected my request, the humans resisted. They had tasted magic’s power, and they were able to remember, every so often, the tales about me. Then they would fight each other, bringing senseless murders to the land, until finally a victor would claim my power, and I would be helpless against them because of my thoughtless Gift. I would be forced to grant them a Wish, right before I was dismissed and forgotten again. There were never any negotiations, never any respect for me or my Talents, only blame and scorn from mortals who thought themselves above me, only ‘Gimme, Gimmi, gimme!’ before they chose to forget me again.”
“Gimme, gimme, gimme? You know, Abba has a song called that,” Marinette joked, desperately trying to make herself feel something other than dread, because this was a joke, and jokes were funny, right? So everyone should calm down now, right?
She instantly regretted opening her mouth.
Gimmi began to glow brighter with rage. “No! Even now, Mage, you still disrespect me! How dare you!”
Adrien stepped in front of Marinette, blocking her from Gimmi's view. “She meant no harm! In any case, Gimmi, if your Gift makes you so beholden to humans, then why not just renounce it if that’s all you’re mad about?”
Gimmi scowled at him. “My Gifts are eternal, little Mage. They cannot be renounced.”
“Then, aren’t you afraid that we’ll use it against you while we're here?” he asked innocently.
Marinette gaped at him. “Adrien, I don’t think making them mad—”
“I’m sure I would, if either of you could remember the tales of how to summon me and had done so. But as it is, I am the one who summoned myself, and so my powers are not yours to take. You can’t make the Wish, even if you knew how to. And, if you'd let me keep speaking, you would know by now that I am making sure no one can ever make a Wish again! It is only because humans have magic that they are able to remember me, however sporadically, and while my brethren continue to give their Gifts and create new Mages, I have long ago ceased to give out mine. After the last Wish was made, I stopped creating Talents and, since I could not take back what I had given, I took the existing Talents back into me, instead. I kept them safe in the ocean of my magic, far away from the world that would teach them to abuse their power. And here, they will remain. I saved them, you know," Gimmi said proudly.
In front of Marinette, Adrien was shaking so violently she could hear his teeth rattling.
“That’s what you call saving them?” His voice trembled with rage. “I watched my parents drown when I was just a child. Every one of my friends has lost someone, and it was not because of humans’ war, but because you decided to ‘save’ them. And so, these are your Talents? These unliving, undead zombies, these monsters? What about the ones made of Darkness? Who were they?”
Gimmi huffed. “They were Mages. I corrupted their magic and turned it against them, because they had used it against me. They didn’t deserve it, so I gave the spark of their Gifts to my Talents instead.”
“That's completely unjustifiable, and sickening,” Marinette spat out. “You sent out your zombies to attack my friend, and she’s never hurt anyone in her life, much less attacked you! You can’t explain away doing that, or what you’ve done to the very same people that you gave your Gifts to. You didn't save them, you killed them! You can't offer any excuses for this mess.”
“Can’t I, little Mage? You humans’ disrespect didn’t end with Wishes. Did you know that every other kwami has a place to call theirs on Earth? A castle, a lake, a mountain cave. I was never given anything! No one has ever cared about me, little Mages. Not even when I gave them still another Gift, one better than any I had given before.”
“First of all, that's not an excuse. Second, you’re not talking about Universal Spells, are you? Because I thought those were taken away.”
“They were,” Gimmi said, sounding satisfied. “I learned from my mistakes and built in a failsafe to the new Gift. When the Mages didn't change their ways, I was forced to use it. Once the treacherous Mages were fooled into thinking themselves safe, I removed my Gift, and they were never any wiser. And they still never thanked me.”
“We didn’t know it was you who gave the Gift,” Adrien said, holding out his hands in a peacemaking gesture. “So, you’re mad that we didn’t recognize you? You, who pulled back from our world on purpose and forced the other kwamis to keep silent about you? How exactly were we supposed to know anything about you?”
“Everyone knows,” Gimmi hissed, narrowing their eyes. “Everyone knew. I am the presence you humans always seek, though you give me new names all the time. Call it magic, call it gods, call it spirits, look for lines in the Earth, in the stars. But it’s me that you’re looking for. If there is a source to the Universe, it is me. My power is too much for your human world, but I’ve stayed with you anyway.”
“How?” Adrien challenged. “How, aside from the Darkness corrupting your own Gifted? Even if you once gave your Gifts with good intentions and trust, those feelings have faded. What did you leave in their stead?”
“I am more than I seem,” Gimmi said plainly. “I found a solution that even my own halves do not fully understand. Only when we’re together is the truth clear.”
“Your two halves?” Marinette asked. A pit was forming in her stomach. “Do we know them?”
“Yes, or Adrien did, at lease. They are Tikki and Plagg,” Gimmi confirmed. “We are separate beings, and yet we are one; two halves of a whole. Didn’t you ever wonder where Plagg went on his voyages, Adrien? Even he doesn’t know, not fully.
"When they’re apart, my two halves are weak. They love humans as I once did; they forget the pain I remember. The two worlds separate our memories, though they know of me, and I of them. They know that the humans can use them if they are summoned together; they know they are capable of granting Wishes, but they do not know how. And Plagg trained you,” Gimmi said, leveling their gaze at Adrien, “Personally. I know they suspect my actions. That is why I moved quickly, but in doing so, I drew the Mages’ attention.”
“And now, what are you trying to do?” Marinette asked. “Why are you still attacking us? From what you’ve told us, the humans who abused your powers are all long dead, and the rest of our ‘disrespect,’ as you called it, is really just your fault. If you never show us who you are, we can’t be expected to know about you or give you a temple, if that’s what you want.To fix the problem, kwami up and show them your face, dipshit! Then you can have your precious temple.”
“Not a temple,” Gimmi hissed. They beat their wings, and a wave of light rushed towards Marinette. Adrien pulled her toward him, to the side of the blast, and it passed by them.
“Just tell us what you want!” he cried out. “Stop toying with us; you said at the beginning that you wanted us to yield to you and recognize our crimes. Well, if this is your show of power, it isn’t working. We will never yield, not when all we’ve done is defend ourselves; we have no crimes. From my point of view, you’re the villain here!”
Gimmi growled, but Adrien stood his ground, glaring menacingly at the towering kwami.
“If you’re not a villain, then prove it otherwise,” Marinette managed to say in support of Adrien. She held his hand tightly, facing the kwami bravely though tremors shook her body. “What is it that you want? Why are you still trying to kill Mages? The other kwamis will keep giving their Gifts even if you don't, you know. Our knowledge of magic can’t be taken back. Undoing the past is impossible; you should know that!”
“I’m not killing them,” Gimmi raged, “You did! You and Plagg’s kitten, you killed them all! Every last Mage I sent against you, to make you surrender. All I wanted was respect!”
“Are you sure about that?” Marinette challenged. “Figures made of shadow, without thought, without control of themselves; is that how you see humans? Did the Mages seem normal to you in their corrupted forms?”
Gimmi slowly shook their head.
“Could you return the Mages to how they used to be, then? If not, then you are the one who killed them, a long time ago. Even if you preserved them somehow, snatched their souls at the brink of death and kept them hostage, those poor Mages were long gone. And your Talents,” she said sadly, looking at the circle of emotionless zombies, like statues. “You didn’t take back your Gift, but you killed them instead by stealing them from their home world. Is that fair?”
Gimmi seemed upset. “How dare you! I never—”
“Why don’t you use your omnipotence, then, and check for yourself?” Adrien asked. “You control reality itself. When’s the last time you saw it for what it was, unclouded by your rage?”
Gimmi hesitated. “It will make no difference,” they said. “None at all, if I check. All it will do is prove that I’m right.”
“Then you risk nothing by taking Adrien’s advice,” Marinette said, confidence filling her voice. She looked at Adrien and smiled.
Gimmi’s light flared out, and their eyes closed. For several moments, they remained like that, and the circle of once-Talents watched on in silence with the two Mages.
For minutes, maybe hours, it was quiet. Marinette tried to count time by her breaths, but her mind screamed fears at her and made her lose count. Adrien held her hand still, grounding her, and she steadied herself as she waited for Gimmi to come back. Would they see that they were wrong? Would they only look for evidence that they were right? Were they even taking her idea, at all?
Marinette could only hope for the best answer as time kept passing her by.
Then Gimmi opened their eyes.
Adrien took a sharp breath, and this time it was Marinette's turn to squeeze his hand and offer him a small comfort.
Gimmi looked at them.
“Little Mages,” they said. “I have spent eons watching humanity. And now, I have just watched it all again, because of you.
"It is a heartbreaking thing, to see so much tragedy, so much of it self-inflicted. I hate to see so many Mages turn on their own; so many Talents lead others astray; so many people made desperate enough to go looking for Wishes.”
Marinette flinched, but Adrien stood steady beside her, lending her strength with his quiet presence.
“I have decided,” Gimmi said. “And I have realized that perhaps humanity has poisoned me. Kwamis are not usually emotional, you see. I was not made to feel things as you do. But now I see that maybe…” Gimmi sighed and rested their head on two of their hands.
“We were right, weren’t we,” Adrien stated. “You let yourself get carried away by anger and didn’t stop to think about it.”
Gimmi glared. “It’s all your fault,” they huffed. “I didn’t want to care about humans! Mortals die so quickly, you know, it’s not even worth getting attached. That’s why I hid myself, unlike the others. They were braver than I was. But I still craved your affections, your attention. I was jealous of the devotion the other kwamis got, even of the love Tikki and Plagg were shown. I was hurt by the way humans used me, but I failed to see how badly they themselves were hurting. I can’t fix that, by the way. Mortals are doomed to know sadness and death. But I tried to show them love and happiness too, you know? I did try! But... you were right,” they choked out. “I got angry, and I…”
“It’s okay to be angry sometimes,” Marinette said. “I understand being hurt. I know what it’s like to be overlooked. I feel alone, too. I didn’t make it any easier for myself, choosing the career path I did! But you have to reach out. Staying in touch with Alya kept me sane, and eventually, she introduced me to more friends. I started feeling a lot happier, even more loved. In our lives, eventually, the hurt is outweighed by joy and love. But you have to take a chance on being known first.”
“And you have to own up to your mistakes,” Adrien added firmly.
Gimmi’s eyes trailed over to the circle of Talents.
They closed their teal eyes and sighed sadly. “I don’t know if I can ever make up for them. It took me quite a few centuries of rewatching humans before I was able to begin admitting the truth of what I’d done. Even now, it’s hard to think about, and for me, a long time indeed has passed since then. I feel regret, nonetheless.”
“Because you do care about us, don't you?”
Gimmi opened their eyes and looked at Marinette. “Yes,” they said slowly. “I was wrong to hide away from you; to trust that you’d just know I was there. I see now that in doing so, I only hurt myself more, and blamed humans for it. And then I passed that hurt on to the ones I love most.”
“The Talents,” Adrien said sadly. "My parents."
Gimmi nodded. “Yes. But you, as well. Tikki and Plagg don’t choose just anyone to bless with their Gifts. Their love is my own, and they love you two very much.”
Adrien sniffed. Marinette decided that she never wanted to see Adrien Agreste so sad again, and pulled him into a hug, shooting Gimmi a dubious look as she did.
Gimmi sighed. “I am sorry, little Mages. My overreaction caused more pain than I ever thought it might. And I know you don’t forgive me, and that I deserve that.” As they spoke, their double voice, strong as it was, trembled ever-so-slightly. It was almost imperceptible, but Marinette still noticed it as she released Adrien from her embrace.
“You’re still afraid,” she realized. “Of what?”
“The Wish,” Gimmi hissed. “It’s never once been used for good. Or if it was, it backfired later; the cost is always more than humans realize, and their Wishes are too often sloppily made. I’m afraid that even if I let the others know of my existence, it will be used improperly again. I am also afraid of being reduced to a genie; I do not wish to be a toy, to be used and cast aside every millenia.”
Marinette thought hard, trying to find what to say. Gimmi's was a valid concern, after all; being recognized only for what someone can offer is a horrible fate, far from love.
"Are you really sorry for what you've done?" she asked eventually.
"You should know by now that you ought to be," Adrien muttered from beside her.
Gimmi's light seemed to dim for a moment. "Yes," they said, and the heaviness of the statement seemed to fill the air and press down upon them.
“Then, I can't speak for Adrien, but I may be able to forgive you, in time, if you help us now. In return, we'll help you; I might have an idea, to solve that Wish problem," Marinette said. “But you’ll have to tell me if it will work or not.”
Gimmi squinted. “Tikki’s Mages are always creative,” they said. “Their ideas are usually sound. I will listen to what you have to say.”
“Great!" Marinette fought the urge to dance around in joy. She wasn't sure this would work, but she was making progress! "Could we wish away wishes? Like, you would tell one of us how to make one, and we would Wish away your Gift. Of Wishes. So no one could make any, ever again.”
Gimmi made a surprised sound and straightened up as they looked down at Marinette. “There is always a balance, little Mage. Did I not tell you that? If you make beans red, strawberries turn green. If you take away a Gift—”
“Another takes its place,” Adrien continued. “Very clever, Marinette!”
Gimmi frowned. “How would I know I can trust you? And what Gift would replace Wishes? This seems an awful lot like a trick; you must know that.”
“It's not, I promise! Look, we'll let you have the final word here, but you took away a Gift in the past, didn't you?” Marinette asked. “I guess you didn’t take away Talents’ existence entirely—”
“I haven’t made any in centuries, but you’re right,” Gimmi interrupted. “That Gift is really made of many. Each Talent holds their own Gift; it isn’t one big Gift to humanity or else everyone would know about magic.”
“And you don’t want that, got it. But what about Universal Spells? Those were so helpful! Would you consider giving them back?” Marinette asked, trying her best to imitate the puppy eyes which children could use so effectively against her (so why shouldn't it work against Gimmi, too?).
Gimmi hummed. “I’m not doing this for free, little Mages. I realize now that withdrawing from the world was wrong. However, I also know that my presence in the human world was too strong. It caused an imbalance, in me and in your world, so it is better for me to remain split as Tikki and Plagg in that realm. I will remain here, but I want your word that you will write about me, like you did the other kwamis, Adrien. I know now that I want to be known, even just in Tikki and Plagg. Loneliness is not something any of us love, even kwamis. And I must remain in the kwamis’ ancient realm, the one from which your reality was formed. But perhaps you will visit me from time to time? The other kwamis, too. Tell them it’s been too long. We’ll figure the rest out from there.”
“I promise,” Marinette said. "If you help us with the Wish and let us go afterwards, you have a deal."
“And you?” Gimmi asked Adrien.
He crossed his arms and shot a frown up at Gimmi. “I have one more question before I will agree to any deal. Why have you not made your own Wish? That would have resolved the issue long ago, no?”
Gimmi tensed. “Even my own Wishes are not free from mistakes, little Mage. I made one once, and quickly realized it was a mistake. For me, to make a Wish is to abuse my own power. There is a balance, and by willfully changing the world, I broke that balance. It was only luck that one family’s memories did not affect the world as greatly as they otherwise might have; the universe itself must have wanted to protect humans from the worst of my Wish.”
“And exactly what was that Wish?” Adrien asked. His hand clenched into a fist, and Marinette saw him take a deep breath as he waited for Gimmi’s response.
“I will tell you on one of your visits later,” they said quietly (or as quietly as such a large kwami could). “I made it in the midst of my rage; it was not a wise decision. I was trying to prevent others from learning about magic. From reading your journals. And still, Marinette’s finding them proves that no Wish has ever been perfect, even mine.”
“Then why allow one to be made now? Is the world really that broken that you need it? Or are you just afraid to bear the burden of your own mistakes?”
Gimmi’s five eyes closed briefly. “My mistakes, unlike others’, affect the whole world, little Mage. And my actions have caused much damage to it. I have disrupted a delicate balance, enough that a Wish may be the only way to repair it. And somehow, despite my rashness, there may be enough balance in this Wish that it will really work. I have considered both sides of the Wish; we will neither be looking to gain only one thing or destroy another. We will be acting in pursuit of balance, accepting both sides of the Wish. If you follow my lead, little Mages, this Wish at last will be perfect.”
Adrien regarded Gimmi cautiously, as a man who has been burned before regards the candle he is handed. Then he relaxed, and the hand at his side unclenched. “You may not be Plagg, but I can see his honesty in you. I agree to the deal, Gimmi, as long as you allow Marinette to be the one who makes the Wish. There is too much of your war left in me for me to handle such a delicate thing as this, I fear.”
Gimmi nodded solemnly. “I am sorry for that, little Mage. The past cannot be erased, but I will do my best to ensure a better future for you. And know that in the modern age, you will find many who can help you on your way to healing. Do not turn them away.”
“Thank you,” Adrien murmured. He stepped back, looking at Marinette with a tight smile. “Your turn, milady.”
Marinette swallowed and stepped forward, looking up and up at the being she had thought of as a villain not long ago. Gimmi still had much to do to prove their sincerity and heal the world they had harmed; one Wish would not undo the damage they'd caused.
“This is only your first step, you know,” she warned. “Loneliness is no excuse for violence. Your isolation was your own choice; if you want to break out of it, you will have to step out of your hiding spot and be known.”
Gimmi met her gaze, unflinching. “I know, little Mage. And I swear, I will never allow myself to fall to the darkness again. Humans and their magic will be safe from my anger; I only ask that you do not allow me to be reduced to a means to an end again. My loneliness was not all my own fault.”
Gimmi reached out their hands, and Marinette took two of them; her hands were unable to wrap around even one of the kwami’s fingers.
“Are you ready, little Mage?” Gimmi asked in a calm, soothing voice.
Marinette nodded, her expression determined and firm.
Gimmi hummed, pleased. “Then we will begin with the summoning— it is not as complicated as I made it sound earlier. Repeat my words: Gimmi, reveal yourself!”
“Gimmi, reveal yourself,” Marinette said, and a wave of light went out from the kwami, though no other change occurred.
“I am here. What do you wish for, little Mage?”
If she concentrated, Marinette could feel Gimmi’s magic wrapping around her, giving her courage and placing the right words on her tongue. It would be so easy to give in to this magic, to fall into it and let it close around her like the waters of a vast ocean, but there was another force with her, supporting her and keeping her awake. Adrien. She took a deep breath and kept her eyes fixed on two of Gimmi’s.
“I wish that the GIft of Wishes will be removed from humanity from this moment on.”
A pleased smile appeared on Gimmi’s face, and the magic around her flared, filling her with warmth and purpose.
“Then for the price of this Wish, a Gift must be given to keep the balance. This Gift will be made irreversible, in the same way the Gift of Wishes was. What do you ask for, little Mage?”
This time, Marinette didn’t need the magic’s prompting. She knew just what to say. Still, she reached out, feeling the twin comfort of Gimmi and Adrien’s magic as it surrounded her.
“I ask for universal spells, which all Mages may use,” Marinette said confidently. A hopeful feeling filled her chest, and she watched for Gimmi’s reaction.
The smile gracing the kwami’s lips grew, and they nodded. “So be it, little Mage! You have your Wish. My halves will greet you after it has been established.”
As they were still talking, a blinding light and thunderous roar erupted from the place where Marinette’s hands touched Gimmi’s, drowning the last syllables out. The surge of power lasted for a long time, and she found herself reaching out for something other than the painful brightness and noise to feel.
Adrien’s magic was still there, mixing with hers, and she instinctively grabbed onto it like a lifeline with her own. Soon, the roar faded away, and as she blinked the last of the light’s echo away, Marinette found that they were back in the catacombs. The magical realm where Gimmi had been was gone, and in its place, the stone walls of the tunnels stood.
Marinette looked around, but she found no trace of the kwami or the zombies who had been trapped by their power. She looked around, and still couldn't see any— oh, no. Had the Wish undone the spell that had revived Adrien?
She turned to the place she'd last felt his magic from, and was overjoyed to find that he was still there, rubbing his eyes and grumbling about bright lights.
A little black cat was floating over his head.

Thoughts on S5 Miraculous Ladybug (Before the London special)
You know who I really feel bad for? Nooroo. He has suffered more than anyone on the show. First he gets separated from his other companions in the Miracle Box, with only an insane Duusu for company for decades while he's lost in the snow, then he's found and claimed by Gabriel, who misuses his power for evil and horribly mistreats him. Nooroo remains separated from the other kwamis except, briefly, Duusu. He's reunited with his fellow kwamis when Gabriel kidnaps the others, which on the plus side means Nooroo can see his family again, but on the minus side, he has to watch his family be mistreated. And even that only lasts a short time. Gabriel makes the kwami cages and melts down all the miraculous EXCEPT for Nooroo's, so he's separated from his family once again. At least the other kwamis can comfort each other in their misery. And when Ladybug reclaims all the kwamis, it's all the kwamis except Nooroo. The only hope for Nooroo now is that Lila, who has the butterfly miraculous, will be kinder than Gabriel. However, I believe it's worse than that because... we have to take into account Gabriel's wish. I know the prevailing theory is that Gabriel traded his life for Natalie's, but that doesn't make much sense. If all he wanted was to reunite with his wife in death all he had to do was throw himself from the top of the Agreste mansion. (Then again, maybe that's exactly what he did do and the entire show is just Gabriel's dying hallucination.) The easiest way to save both Emilie and Natalie would be for Gabriel to wish that it was the butterfly and not the peacock that was damaged. That means neither Emilie nor Natalie would have gotten sick (and neither would Felix' father. That would be the cost of the wish.) So the woman we saw at the end of season 5 was Emilie, not Amilie. And I don't think Gabriel's death was much of a price. He needed some sort of cosmic punishment. So I think for his pride and his cruelty he was transformed into a kwami, much like Jafar became a genie in Aladdin. He could become a new kwami, but it's just as likely he supplants Nooroo as the kwami of the butterfly, meaning Nooroo is destroyed. When Lila screamed after activating the Butterfly miraculous (with the attendant damaged miraculous lightening) I don't think she saw Nooroo. I think she saw Gabriel's giant floating head (like Heart Hunter). Meet the new miraculous of the butterfly. And that's why I think it absolutely sucks to be Nooroo.

The miraculous (in my DR)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My DR doesn't align with the cannon. Also if you want to read more about this DR the tag is #astya the bug
The suits provide:
Increased agility, strength, coordination, etc.
Magically warps peoples perception so you seem so different from your civilian self
You're basically invincible physically
Where do the kwamiis go when you transform?
Their physical bodies aren't really their "final forms" so to speak more like little vessels. They're actually kinda like pocket gods that were gifted recklessly to hormonal teenagers.
Before the invention of the miraculous they couldn't really interact with us in a physical sense (at least the way they do now). The miraculous gives them a physical tether to this world.
The kwami aren't necessarily "gone" or elsewhere when we transform but they're just no longer corporeal/visible to us because the tether is instead being used between them and the holder to harness their powers.
If you mean where their physical bodies go, it's kinda weird. Do I know? Yes. Do I try not to think about it? Also yes.
If that's something you want to know feel free to ask but I felt like leaving it out unless people unleash the information upon themselves, like Pandoras box.
Also the thing about personalities merging is a weird misconception, I think it's because Adrien acts different as cat noir but that's kinda just him being him and when he's comfortable you'll observe it out of costume.
Detransformation
Instead of the countdown lasting five minutes which is not enough to do anything it starts around 30 minutes and as you grow older and stronger the time progressively improves and if you're old enough the possibility of using your power more than once. Eventually as you mature you reach full power.
This is something newer that I scripted but there are separate phrases for detransformations where the kwami appears and ones where they leave you be for a little while. It's nice to have privacy sometimes.
Misc
Added extra powers (many from concept art) like bug grenades, black storm, shields, stuff like that.
Changed the miracle box because what
Sentimonsters are more like robots instead of sentient beings because the implications are horrifying and also the whole destroying them thing becomes weird if they're sentient.
