Super Tuna
TUNA! HAH! TUNA! SU-PER TU-NA!
Pounding, Pounding, deep in my heart Why, oh, why have my fish gone so far? From the east sea, to the west sea My, oh, my, just where could you be?
Tuna, I wouldn’t mind  A Flatfish, I wouldn’t mind  A Mackerel, I wouldn’t mind A shark, I wouldn’t mind it
Won’t just one fish come home to me? A tuna screams out suddenly, like “Seokjin, Seokjin, come and catch me!”
TUNA! HAH! TUNA! LET’S GO!
(WOAH-OH, WOAH-OH) SPLISHIN’ SPLASHIN’ (WOAH-OH, WOAH-OH) SU-PER TU-NA!!

Hiii everyone, I'm back! Here's a December fic I came up with on a whim! JK and Hobi both get sick somehow at a Christmas party and try hiding it from everyone, including each other XD
Holiday mishaps
Sickies: Jungkook and Hoseok
Caretakers: Jungkook and Hoseok
TW: emeto
Jungkook wishes he dressed up a little more for this Christmas party. He's in a white fleece sweater and black jeans. Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung are in full on suits with flashy ties.
Drinks are offered and the tables are covered with food. Jungkook has been enjoying it, trying out different things. He had a variety of meats quite a bit of pasta. And then there's the desserts. He had candy, cookies, and cheesecake. After the cheesecake, Jungkook stops. It's so rich and doesn't agree with his stomach. That pasta was also pretty salty. "Ughh, that's not sitting right.." He feels queasy as his stomach churns uncomfortably with it.
Hoseok is having drinks with Yoongi and Namjoon. He's on his second one and feels buzzed. That alcohol can be sneaky and make him feel sour in minutes.
"Hoba, you still with us?" Yoongi sees his changing expressions.
Hoseok nods, quickly putting his half empty glass down. He doesn't like how it's mostly liquids stirring in his stomach. "I just gotta slow down is all.."
"Hm, good point. Don't wanna ruin that suit" Namjoon chuckles. "You should have some water and eat something."
Hoseok looks at the food table. He should probably eat but doesn't feel hungry. Jungkook sees Hoseok looking in his direction. No one can know that he's sick. The maknae smiles and waves to him, hiding his abdominal pain. Hoseok smiles and waves back, also trying to act normal.
Jungkook turns back around and nearly bumps into Jimin. "Whoa, Kookie, you good?"
"I'm sorry hyungie" *he burps into his hand suddenly* "uhh, 'scuse me.."
"No worries, you ok?"
Jungkook nods "mhm..never better!" He refrains from holding his middle. Instead he adjusts his sweater. "Do you think I'm underdressed?"
Jimin laughs out loud. "Nah, you look fine Kook" he brushes the soft sleeves with his hand.
"Yeah, you're right--" Jungkook stifles another burp. That one felt like a gag and he almost feels like throwing up. But that would be super awkward and spoil the vibe. Then again, this icky feeling inside is getting worse..
Hoseok tried eating some fruit but it seemed to backfire. His stomach roils inside in poor reaction. "Ughh, so much for that.." He hiccups and his stomach squelches. That doesn't feel good.
"Hyung, you doing ok?" Jungkook asks Hoseok now. Hoseok gives a thumbs up but backs away nervously.
"Everyone over here!" Seokjin is calling them for a picture. "Hobi, what are you doing? Come closer!" Hoseok holds his breath and cozies up to them, forcing a smile.
Jungkook is trying to look cheerful wedged between Taehyung and Jimin. They're all hugging tightly and he's afraid it'll squeeze the barf out of him. A terrible image that makes his stomach hurt. "..Did we get it?" Jungkook asks in a higher pitched voice. It feels like an eternity standing there.
"Let's take one in that corner, the lighting's better!" Taehyung suggests. Jungkook quietly groans at that idea and so does Hoseok. They do several more and Jungkook is spent. It feels like lead in his stomach and it hurts.
When the members are distracted looking at the results, Jungkook takes the chance and sneaks to the bathroom. He hates this feeling and wants to ease his queasy belly. He goes to the last stall that's partly hidden and locks it.
"I'll feel better after getting it out" he hopes.
Jungkook coughs wetly looking into the bowl. He feels it coming but it's a slower process than anticipated. He gags as his stomach churns with revulsion. Jungkook groans impatiently, almost wanting to change his mind. Does he really feel that sick?
His stomach says yes, making him heave up an atrocious wave into the bowl, turning the water clear to opaque in seconds. It's a thick yellow mushy paste and he moans in disgust at the sight. His body shakes rapidly as he gurgles up more of it.
Jungkook pauses once in a while, making sure he doesn't hear the door open or any footsteps. Still okay so far. His stomach contracts and he regurgitates more of his dinner. It's got a bittersweet taste that coats his mouth as it oozes out. He feels gross but it's not over.
Meanwhile at the bar, Hoseok is still debating what to do. He wants to barf but his stomach's just roiling in circles. He's trying to keep distracted hanging with Yoongi and Namjoon. The leader got them shots of tequila to celebrate their music achievements.
Oh no..
Hoseok knows that will definitely induce vomiting. But then realized that's exactly what he needs. Hoseok decides to take the shot and what ever happens, happens.
"Cheers!"
It burns his throat and disturbs his stomach fiercely. Hoseok gags and sprints to the bathroom.
Jungkook finally gets up and flushes the toilet. He actually does feel a bit better. And no one will know what happened, he smiles to himself. But then he looks down and gasps. The bottom of his white sweater got stained. "Awh shit!" JK cursed to himself. He thinks about trying to clean it, but worries he'll make it worse.
Just then, he hears the bathroom door and someone running in. Jungkook freezes. "Oh no, I'm caught.." But instead he hears another stall hastily open followed by a horrid retch, splashing loudly into the bowl. It startles him. What's going on? Who is that?? Jungkook wasn't sure but then recognized the shoes. "...Hobi hyung? Is that you?"
Hoseok's eyes widen, he didn't know someone else was here. And they just heard him vomit up a storm. Great. "Ughh, yeah.. it's me.. " Hoseok coughs and his stomach shoots up liquids like a fountain. He can still taste that tequila strongly and it smells even worse.
Jungkook hears all the awful sounds of Hoseok and he gets queasy again. He throws up and now they're both retching back to back.
Jungkook finishes and his stomach eases up. He finally got rid of it all. He goes to help Hoseok, who didn't have time to lock his door. "Hyung, what happened??"
Hoseok looks up briefly "T-tequila...and soju.."
Jungkook is shocked. He can't believe Hoseok was also sick tonight. How did he not notice?? Then again, they're both pretty good at hiding it..
"I didn't mean to make you sick Kook--" Hoseok dives his head expelling more.
"Oh no hyung, it's not your fault! I actually ate too much earlier" JK says sheepishly.
"And i had too much to drink" Hoseok groans, holding his abdomen. His throat hurts from the burning alcohol and stomach bile running through it. Jungkook rubs his nape as the dancer heaves twice more. The flow eventually fades and Hoseok pulls away. Miraculously, his suit is spotless.
"How do you feel now hyungie?"
"Hmm, I think I'm feeling..better?" Hoseok is surprised. His stomach just wanted to rid what was bothering it. "I'm never having tequila again."
"Oh, hyung, you still have a little on your chin" Jungkook gets a paper towel and gently wipes Hobi's face. Hoseok helps Jungkook clean his sweater. It isn't perfect but it is better.
"We should get out of here, the others are probably waiting."

I'm unhappy with my current drafts so I'm just gonna write just whatever comes to mind. No matter how it ends up, I'm gonna post it. Forgive me if it's not good. Some days, you just have to write just for the enjoyment and not care about results.
As Jin is returning soon he's the target of my story
Warning: emeto, fever.
Sickie: Jin with a bit of Yoongi. (Because my mind said so)
Caregivers: ot7
Jin presses his forehead against Yoongi's shoulder, trying to shield his eyes from the light that caused pain to ripple across his aching head.
"What's wrong Hyungie? Your breathing is off.." Yoongi speaks softly to him, running his hand through his hair. Yoongi couldn't recall Jin ever getting sick from flying. Seokjin is usually the one caring for the younger members, him included.
"All the flashing lights at the airport gave me a headache that's all.. I'll be okay." Jin picks up his head to talk to Yoongi, but Yoongi pushes him back down when he sees a flash of pain in Seokjins eyes.
"I got some medicine to help with the pain, just rest now. Okay? Let me take care of you this time Hyungie" Yoongi digs through his carry on for some pain relievers and an eye mask frowning when he hears only a single pill rattling. Sh*t.. will this be enough to help? I thought I had more.
"This should help at least a little..it's only 200mgs though.." Yoongi speaks softly, not wanting to risk making his hyung feel worse. "I'm sorry..I'm usually better prepared for travel.."
"No, no its okay. Thank you..this will be enough to help. Its not that bad really..I'll just sleep it off." Jin swallows the small pill, drinking the bit of water he had left in his bottle, covering his eyes up, leaning his head back against Yoongi.
Yoongi tries to gently massage Jin's temple to help ease the pain, relaxing when he hears the older’s breathing slow as he falls asleep. "I hope you feel better soon.." he whispers, brushing Jin's hair behind his ear when he sees it tickling Jin's ear, making him twitch in his sleep.
"What's wrong with Seokjinnie-hyung?" Namjoon whispers when he sees Yoongi's worried expression, taking out his headphones.
"Hyungie isn't feeling well, he said he just had a headache, but it sounds like he was suppressing coughs while we were going through the airport.." Yoongi whispers underneath his breath, Namjoon having to read his lips and lean forward to understand him.
"I'll get some medicine for him.." Namjoon promises, knowing Yoongi wouldn't want to risk waking up Jin by trying to flag down a staff member.
"That'd be great, thanks Namjoon-ah.. i gave him what i had, but i don't think its enough..Namjoon... could you ah..get me some water too?" Yoongi asks in a small voice.
"Are you feeling sick too?" Namjoon furrows his brow with worry when he sees that Yoongi's cheeks lacked color.
"I'm fine. I just took the medicine for motion sickness a little too late. It'll pass in a bit.. Don't worry." Yoongi gives Namjoon a reassuring smile, ignoring the fluttering in his stomach. There's no focus point in the sky like in a car to help.. maybe I'll try to sleep too..
"Tell me if you still feel sick an hour after landing okay hyung?" Namjoon orders gently. "Just because Seokjinnie-hyung is feeling sick doesn't mean how you feel isn’t just as important.."
"I will, Joon-ah.. thank you.." Yoongi leans his head against Jin's closing his eyes, finding comfort in the familiar scent of Jin's shampoo filling his nostrils. It's a short flight.. just two and a half hours.. when I wake up, we'll be landing.. I'll feel better then..
"Hyung.." Yoongi calls to Jin, who was still asleep on his shoulder. "We landed. You need to wake up now.. Hyung.." he gently shakes his shoulder to try to jostle him awake.
"Mmmn? What?" Jin blinks his eyes slowly, trying to process what the oldest rapper was saying to him, removing the blind fold. "Yoongi..?"
"Hyungie we landed. It's time to get off the plane.." Yoongi repeats himself patiently, waiting for recognition to light up in Jin's eyes.
"Ah..right.. the award show.." Jin sits upright, wincing at the tension in his neck. "I slept in that position too long.."
"I'll see what I can do about it while we're in the car. I'm sorry, me sleeping against your head probably made it worse.." Yoongi gently rubs the back of Jin's neck, feeling the tension that limited Jin's movement.
"Yoongi please don't.. that hurts.." Jin pushes Yoongi's hands away, wincing at his touch."I'll ask for a heat pack.."
"I'm sorry Hyungie. I'm sorry.." Yoongi frowns, his eyes dilating with worry, his stomach knotting with guilt.. "You might need to make an appointment to see a chiropractor."
"Don't worry so much Yoongi-yah. You just wanted to help and i appreciate it, but it's okay. it's not that bad, but I'll talk to staff if it'll make you feel better." Jin smiles through the pain, putting a hand on Yoongi's shoulder. "Let's get off this plane. I'm gonna take a shower and nap until we need to work."
"Alright Hyung, here.. you can wear my hat. It'll help block the camera lights." Yoongi unsnaps his hat from his carry on bag, placing it on Jin's head and snapping it to fit him. "I'll lead you. Just keep your head down."
Jin nods, taking Yoongi's elbow. "Ready."
Yoongi leads Jin off the plane, moving quickly to get past the mob of photographers, reporters and fans who filled the airport, all screaming for them to look in their direction.
Jimin tries to ask them to move so they can have a path, making hand motions to clear the way, Taehyung trying to shush the crowd, but it was in vain.
"Not so fast..I can't keep the pace.." Jin tries to pull away from Yoongi, but Yoongi grabs onto his arm, nearly tripping over their security guard when he quickly stepped in front of him to push a girl's arm away from grabbing onto Yoongi.
"I'm sorry Hyung..but you'll get trampled if we don't keep going this speed.. i can see the car. Please bear with it a little longer." Yoongi couldn't tell if Jin heard him over the chaos, but Jin didn't try to pull away. Namjoon went on the other side of Jin, Jungkook walking behind him, keeping a hand on Jin's shoulder.
"I..I'm going to be sick.." Jin swayed, swallowing hard refusing to let himself, the only thing keeping him on his feet is Yoongi and Namjoon holding him in a tight grip.His stomach churned his body reaching its limits. Theres so many flashes..it's making me dizzy..and the screams..my head is splitting..
Yoongi gets in the car first, pulling Jin in with him. Namjoon and Jungkook follow right behind, Hoseok pulling the door shut behind him.
"Hyung are you okay?" Yoongi asks speaking softly, rubbing his hand across his shoulder. "We're out of the crowd now. It's okay.." Yoongi tries to comfort Jin when he realizes he's shaking.
Jin shakes his head, afraid to open his mouth to speak. He places his hand over his face,his muscles tightened around his abdomen, pushing up thick bile into his throat. No..not now..please..
Namjoon acts quickly when he notices the color completely drain from Jin's face, knowing whats coming before Jin even clamped his hand over his mouth. "Sh*t, Fu*k.." he curses, reaching forward to ruffle through the center console, finding a plastic bag.
Jin tried to hold it back while Namjoon searched for something, swallowing down the bile, but it ended coming right back up with more force. He felt the warm sick fill his hand only upsetting his stomach even more.
Namjoon quickly opens the plastic bag for Jin, holding it underneath him. Yoongi looks for napkins, using the water from his carry on to wet it, taking Jins hand to clean it.
"I-im..I'm sorr..sorry.." Jin whimpers in between heaves, throwing up into the bag Namjoon held open as wide as possible.
"Hyung no, don't be sorry. Things happen..you can't help being sick. It's okay." Yoongi wets another napkin, swallowing the spit that pooled in his mouth. I can handle this. It's no big deal.. I can just wash my hands later..I can't get sick too..hyungie needs help..
Yoongi quickly tosses the soiled napkin in the bag in-between heaves, checking Jin's hand once more to be sure he got it all before taking his hand in his, rubbing his knuckles. His heart clenched when he saw Jin's eyes pooling with tears as another mouthful pushes up.
Hoseok buried his face into Jungkooks shoulder, his stomach churning sympathetically at the sound of Jin.
"Hang on, I'll help.. Hobi-hyung just wait.."Jungkook ruffles through his pocket, finding his headphones and sticking them in Hoseoks ears, turning on music to try to help. The distraction of helping Hoseok helped him hold back his emotions.
Namjoon tried to keep Jin's mind distracted so he didn't notice the others around him, talking to him gently to try to keep the focus on him and not the fact Yoongi had lost the color to his face, Hoseok was fighting the urge to Vomit from the sound of him and the teary eyed Kook who couldn't stand seeing his brothers like this.
"You'll feel better once it's all out.. it's okay.. most of us have gotten airsick before..it's no big deal..just focus on breathing.. it's okay..it's okay.."
Jin let out another few mouthfuls of half digested food, his body trembling with effort, his energy draining. His muscles burned, pushing up less each time until nothing came but thick saliva.
"I..i..m..done now.." Jin speaks in a hoarse whisper, leaning against Yoongi, trying to catch his breath again. "I'm..I'm okay now.."
"Do you think you can drink some water?" Namjoon asks softly, his hands shaking as he ties up the bag, staff grabbing to take it from him. He's still really pale and his breathing is really rough.. I hope we can get to the hotel without any issues..we had to switch hotels twice when we were in the Phillipines..
"Namjoon-ah..calm down..it's okay..I'm feeling better than I look..really.." Jin coughs in between his sentences, ruining the comfort he was trying to give his anxious leader. Jin takes a drink of the water, hoping that would help soothe his nerves.
Namjoon pushes Jin's bangs out of his face, checking to see if he felt warm to the touch, relaxing when he hardly feels warmer than his own forehead. "Try to rest until it's time to get out hyungie.."
Jin nods, getting comfortable on Yoongi's shoulder, only taking a few minutes for exhaustion to hit.
"Hyungie.. the alarm is going off. Are you awake?" Taehyung calls softly to Jin from his bed in the hotel room they shared.
"I am now..."Jin yawns, rolling over to face Taehyung, closing his eyes when the bright light from the window hits his face, making him painfully aware of the pounding headache he had didn't go away even after napping and a couple pain relievers. "What time is it..?"
"It's four-thirty, we need to be ready in an hour to go to the show..I'm sorry to wake you.. I wanted to give you time to get ready.." Taehyung apologizes with a bow,feeling guilty to wake up Jin, his stomach knotting.
He quickly runs to close the blinds when he notices it is bothering his older brother. "Sorry. I didn't want to turn on the light..the bedside lamp is broken.."
"It's okay Vuu, don't apologize. You did the right thing. I'd hate to make staff have to work on dirty hair" Jin drags himself out of bed, trying to keep himself from shaking in front of Taehyung. "I'm going to shower. Could you choose me and an outfit?"
"Of course Hyung." Taehyung goes to Jin's suitcase to find something comfortable. Jinnie-hyung still looks pale.. I'll have to tell Namjoon..
Jin goes into the bathroom, taking a few shaky breaths. Why do I feel worse after sleeping? My head still hurts just as much as before and my muscles still burn.. I need to pull myself together..Namjoon needs me to be there for him. He gets so nervous at events like this..
He slowly strips out of his clothes, turning on the shower, sitting in the tub, letting the water cascade down his back, hoping the warmth could do something for the pain.
Jin is awake now, but I don't think he's feeling any better.. It's too early for him to take another dose of pain pills, though..
Taehyung makes a chat with the other members excluding Jin.
Medical staff hasn't landed, the other flight got delayed.. they won't be here until tomorrow. Staff is looking for a local doctor that will come see him. If he gets any worse tell me. I'll get staff to take him to the hospital.
Namjoon texts. He had already wanted to find him help as soon as they landed, but finding a doctor that makes house calls last minute when it wasn't an emergency wasn't working in his favor.
Taehyung felt his heart fluttering with worry when he hears Jin coughing hard in the bathroom, rushing to check on him. "Are you throwing up hyung..?"
"No, no I'm okay..my throat is just sore from getting sick like that earlier." Jin reassures Taehyung, trying to clear his throat.
"I'll make you some tea Hyung." Taehyung places the clothes he chose for Jin on the counter, going to the keurig and placing a green tea pod inside.
Taehyung returns to the bathroom letting the tea brew. "Hyung do you want me to wash your hair? Maybe a scalp massage will help your headache."
"Alright.. but you aren't coming in here." Jin wets his hair once more before turning off the showerhead, the water running in the bath, hitting his feet.
Taehyung opens the curtains, taking the shampoo and creating a lather, massaging it gently into Jin's scalp. "I'm not being too rough am i?"
"No..it feels nice.." Jin hums, closing his eyes when Taehyung washes his bangs, the gentle circles ebbing a bit of the pain away to make it more tolerable.
Taehyung feels his shoulders relax when he hears Jin's soft sigh, giving him a sign that he was doing something to help ease the pain that plagued his eldest hyung. "Does your stomach still hurt hyung?"
"It hurts, but like..don't feel like I'm going to throw up, but my sides burn when i take a deep breath..it's sore.." Jin tells him earnestly.
"Hang on, hyung.." Taehyung goes to the kitchen, getting the ice bucket. He fills it with water halfway, using it to get the soap out of Jin's hair without having to shove his head under the sink or stand in the shower. "Keep your eyes closed, please hyung..." Taehyung keeps one hand on Jins forehead, making a barrier to keep the soap from running down into Jins eyes.
Jin obeys, pawing at his sore stomach, trying to rub the pain away. "Thank you Tete.." Jin says with a gentle smile when Taehyung finishes up with his hair, holding back a cough. "You should focus on getting ready yourself, I can wash up myself from here. I'm feeling much better now.."
"Okay hyung..I'll leave the door cracked..call for me if you need anything." Taehyung leaves, looking back at Jin before Jin pulled the curtain shut to turn back on the shower.
Washing him perked him up a bit, but he's got a cough now.. I hope he'll be okay to do the interview and performance..
Taehyung types his worries.
His throat is probably just sore from puking earlier, but I asked staff to get some medicine just in case.
Hoseok texts back, followed by Namjoon.
I'll do what I can to keep the questions off of him during the interview, and if he's not feeling well enough to perform, we can always have him sit it out.
Namjoon texts back,Taehyung feeling the tension in his shoulders loosen. The hyungs have it handled. I just need to do all i can for the team..
Okay. I made him some tea to see if that will help with his throat..
Taehyung quickly texts back, putting his phone down and returning to the kitchen to add a bit of sugar to try to combat the bitter of the tea.
Jin finishes up in the bath, wrapping a towel around his body, his knees folding underneath him when he tries to stand, dizziness making him crash onto the tile.
Taehyung runs to check on him when he hears the sound, checking his ankles for any sign of injury before getting him to his feet, sitting him up on the toliet to get him dry, rubbing a towel across his dripping body.
"Are you okay, hyung?" Taehyung says, voice a pitch higher with worry, checking Jin's legs for injuries, frowning when he sees a bruise forming on his knee."What happened?"
"I'm okay Vuu, I just fell. It's just a little bruise. It's no big deal." Jin tells Taehyung, trying to get his vision to focus on him. What's going on with me? My body feels so weak.. I need to pull myself together..
"Hyung please don't lie to me.. Are you sure you can do this? You don't look well.." Taehyung speaks softly, trying to dry Jin's hair with the towel, his his heart tightening when Jin coughs when he tries to answer.
Taehyung rubs his back, trying to ease the pain, sighing with relief when the cough stops as quickly as it begins, but that isn't good enough for him."Hyung, I don't think you should perform.. Please, consider sitting it out? At least the dancing?" He asks gently.
"I'm okay Taehyungie, I just caught a cold.. I'll take some medicine and go to bed early tonight." Jin reassures Taehyung sounding more confident than he really felt. Army worked hard to help us win this award..the least I can do is perform a few songs for them...
Jin coughs into his sleeve, trying to silence it to stop himself from interrupting Namjoon, who was politely answering the interviewers question. He feels a hand touch his thigh, looking at the owner of it, meeting the eyes of Jungkook.
The mankae offers him a water bottle, him taking it gratefully. 'Thank you..' Jin mouths, trying to wash down the foul taste of phlegm that his body kept coughing up.
Why do I feel worse after taking medicine? This isn't good..I'm performing soon..
"One last question for the group. This is the first time you'll be performing Destiny live. Army is so excited. Does it have choreography?" The interviewer asks, Jin's heart dropping into his stomach when the realization hits him.
That's right.. we've been practicing this song for a month now to show Army.. I can't let the sleepless nights we spent go to waste.. why do I have to have a center position..?
"It's okay Hyung.. you got this.." Jimin leans in to Jin, pressing his forehead against his cheek to comfort him, quickly pulling back when he feels the warmth. "Hyung-"
Jimin gets cut off by Namjoon’s voice. "This has been..."
"BTS.." Everyone speaks after him, ending the interview, the boys being rushed by staff to quickly get ready.
Jimin goes to go to Namjoon to tell him about Jin's declining health, but Jin takes his wrist. "Jimin-ah please, don't tell him.. I can do this.. I'll tell him after we perform Destiny. We worked so hard on it.. I won't be able to sleep tonight if I ruin this for everyone. It's only been twenty minutes since I took the medicine, it'll kick in by the time we perform. I'll ge okay.."
Jimin wanted to argue against him, but the determination and desperation in Jin's eyes made him give in. This means so much to him.. he'll regret it if he doesn't try and the guilt will only make him feel worse..
"Please Jimin?" Jin asks once more, knowing Jimin was close to giving in.
"Hyung please take it easy when you perform.. Army will understand if you don't give it your all..okay?" Jimin touches his shoulder, pleading in a whisper when he sees staff approaching them, giving them their mics.
"Five minutes until you perform."
Jin could feel the sweat already pooling at the back of his neck, covering up his mic to cough. He could hear Army starting the fanchant, waiting for the lights to come on.
Please..please I just need to last four minutes, please..
Jin pleaded with his body, his stomach twisting and churning with every movement, his head pounding at the sound of the screams he would normally cherish.
The lights turned on, making the screams louder as soon as Jungkook started to sing. Jin forced himself to move, his knee throbbing when he dropped to the ground to the beat, stumbling when he tried to quickly rise back to his feet.
Guilt churned his already sour stomach, bile trying to rise up his throat, but he continued to perform, ignoring his body's plea for him to stop. He moves to the next position, singing his part without letting the audience know how poorly he is feeling, quickly moving to side to cough, his throat unable to handle the notes he usually hit with ease.
Namjoon joins him, quickly getting him water before Hoseok finishes his verse. "Hyung you need to take it easy. I can see your hands trembling.. Are you okay?"
Jin doesn't answer him, taking the water from his hand and taking a drink,but the water his too heavy on his stomach, his body instantly pushing it up, placing his hand over his mouth, Vomit soaking his palm.
He could hear the crowd in front of him screaming in worry for him, his legs turning to jello, Namjoon quickly catching him before he hits the floor.
"Sh*t, Hyung.. we need to get you back stage, hang on.."
Namjoon flags staff over, the security guards leading him down the steps. Namjoon clenches his teeth, forcing himself not to follow Jin, quickly going back to the stage, nearly running into Jimin . It'll be too hard on the team for two of us to be missing. I'll check on him the moment we get off stage..
The members already knew what happened without Namjoon telling him, Jimin's voice trembling when he sings knowing he could've prevented it if he just told on Jin in the final place.
Jin is lead to the nearest waste bin, Mr. Lee holding him up as he throws up a thick liquid, his body trembling, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I..i..ruined it.." He sobs, another mouthful of sick coming in-between reaches. "I let..everyone d..do.." his words get cut off by his stomach pushing up more hot sick, splashing into the bin.
"Don't speak. No one will blame you for being sick. Just focus on breathing right now.. okay Seokjin-sii?" Mr. Lee rubs his hand across Jin's back, feeling his body trembling with effort. "It's okay.. you need to calm down.."
Jin tries to take deep breaths, but each breath he tries to take only causes him to cough, his lungs screaming for air. "I...i..can't.."
After a few minutes he could hear the sound of his members rushing to him, Namjoon taking over for Mr.Lee. "hyung you can be so stubborn.. you should've told me you still felt like this.."
Jin felt Namjoon's arms wrap around his chest, supporting his weight as he dry heaves pushing up nothing but strings of spit "I'm..I'm sorry.." he answers in a raspy whisper, leaning into Namjoon, waiting for the waves of nausea to end.
"Hyung you dont have anything left in your stomach.. please try to breathe..." Namjoon adds softly, feeling himself sweat from contact, using his sleeve to wipe the sweat from Jin's face. "You're burning up.."
Jon focuses on breathing, the dry heaves dying down to coughs, pushing the can away from him, leaning into Namjoon. Namjoon gently lowers him gently moving him to be able to rest his head on his lap.
Yoongi wets a towel with a bottle of water, gently wiping the sweat from Jin's face, his heart tightening to see Jin's pained expression up close, his eyes tightly shut when he breathes in from his strained muscles.
"I'm sorry..I just wanted to do one.. song and I thought I had it.. under control.." Jins voice comes out soft, still trying to catch his breath, covering his face with his arm.
"Don't worry about that right now.. just focus on your breathing right now? Do you think you can drink some water?" Namjoon asks softly.
Jim shakes his head, his stomach churning at the thought of putting anything in his system. "Maybe...I should go to the hospital to get an IV.." he sits up slowly, holding his sore middle.
Yoongi places a hand on Jin's back to help him. "Hyung we weren't going to give you a choice on that one.. you really scared us Hyung.. especially Jiminie."
Jin looks around, his chest tightening when he sees Jimins eyes sparkling with unshed tears. "Im sorry I should've tried harder to talk you into not performing.."
"Jimin-ah..come here." Seokjin pulls Jimin into a hug. "I shouldn't asked you to be quiet.. it's not your fault okay? It's just mine for letting my emotions get the better of..." he coughs, trying to cover it with his fist.
"The car is ready." Staff tells them.
"Thank you.." Namjoon says, gently leading Jin to his feet, feeling him tremble with effort. He's trying to act tough, but he's still so pale and shaky. "Let's get you taken care of.. no more hiding how you feel okay hyung?"

HELLO!
In your last post, you wrote to a user, "I can do it if you want, send me a plan." Ah, I'm not that person and I can give you another example of fiction. I don't know if you can do it, but I still want you to try!
My fic is about Lee Namjoon.
Namjoon is generally a person who constantly tickles the members. So, judging by the moments, it is.
Namjoon loves to tease and tickle them, but now all the members want to take revenge on him and catch him.
and they realize that this man tickling them is very ticklish and they tickle torture him
Can you make a Lee Namjoon and ler Bts story like this? Please🥹💗
Tumblr media
This is my first fanfic! I don't know how well this will be received, but I hope you enjoy it! As I was writing it, it turned into something a bit different. Thank you very much for requesting, and I'm sorry it's taken so long.
Leader's Plight
Lee!Namjoon, Ler!BTS
It was a calm day for the Bangtan boys. A day where they had a light schedule. These days were few and far between, so all seven of them took advantage of it.
Most of them were resting. Others were watching TV. Overall, just a calm and peaceful day.
"HYUHUHUHUNG NOHOHO!!!"
Well, it WAS anyway. Five of the guys met outside their rooms, confused looks on all of their faces.
"What in the world was that?" Jimin was the first to speak up.
"I dunno, but it woke me up," Yoongi mumbled, clearly agitated.
"It sounded like it came from Jin hyung's room."
Taehyung was right. With his room being closest to Seokjin's, he could easily tell. (A/N I don't know how their rooms are set up so just work with me on this). They all agreed and followed the laughter to the eldest's room. What awaited them on the other side, however, was not what they expected.
"JIHIHIN HYUHUHUHUNG KNOCK IT OHOHOHOFF!!"
Directly in front of them, in the middle of the floor, was Namjoon, their leader. In a writhing mass of laughter. And who was causing all of this? Seokjin, the eldest of the seven.
The other five boys stood in awe of what was happening. They never thought that their strong leader would be this ticklish!
"Whoa! How did this start?" Hoseok asked with a grin on his face.
Jin paused his attack on Namjoon, leaving the younger to gasp for air on the floor.
"This brat thought he could get away with forgetting to use 'hyung' after my name!" He exclaimed dramatically. He wasn't really angry or upset at Namjoon. He just felt like teasing him for it.
The others knew this too, but they decided to play along with their oldest hyung. After all, it wasn't often that Namjoon was the victim of a tickle attack. 99% of the time, he was the one who started them. And, well, this seemed like the perfect opportunity for revenge~.
"Ooooo hyungie is in trouble!" Jungkook couldn't resist approaching his favorite member and wiggling his fingers at him.
"You little brat!" Namjoon felt his face heat up as he reached out and squeezed the youngest's side.
"EHEHEY!" Jungkook quickly pinned Namjoon's hands down. "I'm not the one who forgot to be respectful to our wonderful Jin-hyung"
"Ahhh Joonie you should know better~!" Hobi mischievously smirked.
"So disrespectful!" Jimin shook his head, slowly kneeling down beside Jungkook.
"I think you've earned yourself this punishment, Namjoon-ah," Yoongi said.
Namjoon tried wriggling away, but unfortunately Jin had too strong of a hold on him still. "Wahahahait guys we can talk about thihihis!"
Taehyung, who had been quiet this whole time, suddenly spoke up. "Hey, you know what I just realized?"
The others looked at him expectantly. "What is it hyung?" Jungkook asked, his big eyes wide with curiosity.
"Namjoonie hyung tickles us all the time! We never get to see him like this!" Tae couldn't help but smile in glee.
Everyone gasped happily. Except the young man in question. "TAEHYUNG-AH!" Namjoon yelled in disbelief. If his face wasn't red before, it definitely was now.
Jin, meanwhile, was growing impatient. "Ya, are you all going to stand there or help me with him?" He said, his eyes glinting with mischief.
The others didn't say another word before they all pounced on their leader. Jungkook near his head, tickling his neck, Jimin and Taehyung going after his feet, Hoseok and Yoongi at his armpits, and Jin still at his original spot at his sides and stomach.
The response was immediate. "GAHAHAHAHA GUHUHUHUYS NOHOHOHOHO!!" Namjoon's hyena-like laughter exploded into the air. He couldn't focus on anything except the ticklish sensations. Try as hard as he might, there was no way he could escape!
"This is your punishment Joonie! Take it like a man!" Jin said playfully, digging into the poor boy's sides.
"I'm just happy to finally be tickling him instead of the other way around!" Tae exclaimed happily. He was currently scratching the leader's left sole with his long nails, eliciting screams of laughter from him. The other maknaes nodded in agreement.
"Tickle tickle tickle Namjoonie!" Hobi teased in a high-pitched voice while scribbling away at Namjoon's left armpit.
"DOHOHOHON'T TEHEHEHEHEASE MEHEHEHEHE!!" Dang it, why did Hobi have to be so good at teasing? Probably practiced on the maknaes. He attempted to hide his face by turning his head away from Hobi, but was met with Jungkook's wriggling fingers in his neck.
"Awwww hyungie is shy!" Jungkook cooed. He leaned down close to Namjoon's ear. "Coochie coo hyung~"
This caused Namjoon to squeal loudly. "JUNGKOHOHOHOHOOK YOU BRAHAHAHAT!" His thrashing intensified.
Yoongi could see that he was getting close to his limit, so he motioned for everyone to slow down, but not completely stop. "Hang on everyone," he said. "There's something I want to do before we kill him."
The others watched to see the show Yoongi was gonna pull. Namjoon, on the other hand, looked at him in terror.
"Hyuhuhung noho dohohon't! I know that lohohohook!" Anticipatory giggles flowed out of his mouth.
"What look?" Oh, that liar. Anyone could recognize that sly evil look on his face. And he knew it too. It wasn't often, but nearly every one of the members had experienced this at one point. And they all feared it.
"Hyuhuhung dohohon't you dahahaHAHAHAHAHAHARE NAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Namjoon screamed in laughter as Yoongi had lifted his shirt and blown a massive raspberry right on his navel. The other members couldn't help but smile in awe as their beloved leader was reduced to a laughing writhing mess on the floor. Taehyung was right, it was a happy sight to see him being tickled to happy tears for a change.
Eventually, Namjoon couldn't take it anymore. "HYUHUHUHUNG *snort* ENOHOHOHOUGH STOHOHO*hic*HOHOP!!"
Yoongi stopped immediately and rubbed Namjoon's stomach. Everyone else crowded around him to make sure he was okay.
"Are you alright Namjoonie hyung?" Jimin asked with concern.
Jungkook sat him up and started rubbing his back to help him breathe better. "Did we go too far?"
Namjoon breathed heavily while stroking Taehyung's head. The younger boy had made his way into Namjoon's lap, hugging him. "I'm okay guys. You didn't go too far." Though he sounded tired, and he was, deep down he felt really happy. He didn't realize how much he need that.
Everyone crowded in for a big group hug. They were really lucky to have each other. Even if they could be annoying at times. Namjoon took a moment to consider this and welcomed the embrace. He really was the luckiest guy on the planet.
It was a calm and peaceful day once again.
"Did anyone notice that Joonie didn't say stop until the very end?"
"J-HOPE!!"
Well, it was anyway.

Cold. Taehyung was so so cold. And... where are his hyungs? One second they were right there, and now it's all dark? They were with him before he got sucked into dreamland? But now he feels freezing and so... alone. "Hyungs?" Taehyung wants to reach out but his arms feel like lead and won't cooperate.
Shadows were growing around him and his brothers were becoming distant, his cheeks are wet with tears and he wants to yell for them to come back but the sounds don't make it past his throat. Did they really leave him?
"Taehyungie!"
He woke up with a sharp gasp, almost instantly dissolving into tears that wrack his frame. Yoongi is quick to pull him into an embrace, cradling his head into his chest. Despite the younger being taller than he is, Taehyung looks so small in the rapper's arms. "You're burning up, Taetae." Yoongi says, feeling warmth radiating off of the younger's skin.
"I'm c-cold... w-wh-where are the others?" Taehyung's head perks up, eyes wide and scared. The dream felt so vivid. "Hyungie, are they gone?" Taehyung suddenly tries to stand up, pulling away from Yoongi's grasp.
"Woah, careful." Yoongi rushes to help Taehyung and sits him back down with little effort needed. "They're okay, Taehyungie." He comforts, rubbing his back in circles. "I-I need to see them, h-hyung—" Taehyung cries, gripping onto Yoongi like a lifeline.
"Shh, okay. Let me get Jinnie and the others." Yoongi takes out his phone, frantically spamming Seokjin's number. All of Taehyung's weight is up against Yoongi and the flow of tears has him biting his lip in worry. "Yoongi-ah?" Seokjin sheepishly walks into the room, rubbing his eyes and taking a split second to register Taehyung.
"Oh, Taehyungie, baby." Seokjin rushes over, petting and soothing over his hair as Taehyung instinctively reaches for the eldest. "H-hyung... I thought you left me." Taehyung mumbles, breaking out in tremors and moving to wrap an arm around his stomach.
"Of course not, baby. Gosh, you're so warm. Yoongi, what happened?" Seokjin turns to the rapper. "He was dreaming, kept calling out for us and now he's got a fever." Yoongi explains. They both look at Taehyung with pity, thinking on what to do. "We have to give him some medicine, he's way too hot." Seokjin concludes.
"No—I need to see Jiminie a-and Namjoon-hyung—" Taehyung sniffles, hiccuping between words. Yoongi sadly rubs his back, turning to Seokjin. "Aw Taehyungie... how about we go to the living room and I'll get the others?" Seokjin offers, using his thumb to wipe away the tears. Taehyung nods approvingly, somewhat calming down.
They go on either side of the younger, helping him to the lounge. Yoongi flicks on a couple lights, putting them on the dimmest setting. Taehyung reaches for Yoongi and he gladly holds him on the couch. Seokjin starts off at the closest bedroom. Jimin and Hoseok's.
"Hoseokie? Jiminie?" He calls into the dark room, walking in to find the two curled in each other's embrace, both their beds pushed together. They start to stir after a few taps. "Sorry guys, Taehyungie is sick and a bit emotional. Can you both comfort him in the living room?" Seokjin explains in a hushed voice. It wakes them up and Jimin's eyes are already glistening with worry. "Of course, hyung." Hoseok replies. Onto the next bedroom.
"Namjoon-ah?" Seokjin hears the snoring cut off. "Hmmg..? Hyung?" The leader groans. "Can you go to the living room, please? Taehyungie has a fever." He says, gaining a hum as Namjoon swings his legs out of bed. And now, the maknae.
"Kookie?" Seokjin moves straight to the bed, gently rubbing over Jungkook's thigh. "Jungkook-ah." He tries again, making the lump roll over. "Taehyung needs you, Bunny." And that finally wakes him up. "Huh..? Is he okay?" Jungkook rubs his eyes, making a move to get up. "Fever, bad dream." Seokjin summarises, letting the youngest follow him back to the living room.
Taehyung is still next to Yoongi but Jimin is giving him a kiss on the cheek, Hoseok tying back his hair and Namjoon is standing nearby, not wanting to crowd the boy. "Taehyungie-hyung?" Jungkook says when he catches sight of the second youngest. He looks up from the couch and is visibly relieved. "You g-guys didn't leave?" Taehyung's lip quivers. The six of them butt in to reassure Taehyung, telling him they love each other way too much to even fathom the idea.
"Taetae, do you feel well enough to take some medicine?" Yoongi asks, all too aware of the sticky heat coming from the singer. He's still so out of it. "Mm.. I don't know." Taehyung pouts, "does anything hurt? Your ears, throat, head, stomach?" Jimin asks, kneeling down in front of Taehyung. "Tummy.. and my head feels dizzy." Taehyung concludes, just now picking up on the nausea washing over him in waves.
He shivers and curls up to Yoongi. "Hyung... I think I'm gonna throw up." Taehyung whines, face squashed into Yoongi's shoulder. "Aish–right now?" Yoongi looks to Hoseok for help, "I'll get a bag—" Hoseok dashes off, right as Taehyung moans in discomfort, chills going up and down his spine. Seokjin leaves to grab some towels and medicine. Namjoon and Jungkook take a seat on the other couch, talking to each other worriedly.
Hoseok comes back with a puke bag, quickly handing it to Taehyung who grips it shakily. "You're okay, Taehyung-ah." Yoongi starts rubbing up and down his back, sympathising when he feels his muscles clench and a dry gag escapes. Taehyung feels like he's on a merry-go-round, he's not enjoying it. Before he was cold and lonely, now he's covered in sweat, about to heave up his dinner. What a night.
He looks up from the bag, noticing Seokjin returning and all his brother's concerned faces. It makes him think back to his fever dream and a tear slips before a nasty heave takes over. It leads to a string of drool and acidic taste in his throat. Jimin uses his small hand to wipe away the tears, moving to sit next to Taehyung. "Let it up, Tae." Yoongi slips into daegu satoori, hoping to comfort the younger some.
Taehyung sucks in a deep, shaky breath before bringing up a mouthful of sick. It gets the momentum going and before he can relax, another bout exits him. "We're right beside you, Taetae. You're doing great." Hoseok comforts, looking away from the puke bag but also trying to support his dongsaeng.
Taehyung retches, spine curling over as he vomits. He feels so hot and sticky, tshirt plastered to his back. Seokjin uses a damp cloth to wipe Taehyung's forehead, holding it on as he coughs into the bag. "Namjoon-ah, can you get the thermometer please?" Seokjin asks, tone filled with concern.
"Sure, hyung." Namjoon responds quickly. "Ughh—my tummy doesn't feel good.." Taehyung whimpers, fingers still clutching the bag. Jungkook watches with sympathy. "Poor baby, Taehyungie. You'll feel better soon." Jimin rubs the 95's knee, Yoongi tracing along his back.
Taehyung doesn't feel like he'll ever get better. He would make another statement that he's dying, but a painfully dry heave cuts him off. It highlights just how empty Taehyung now is. But his stomach sets him off anyways, into endless (about 3) empty gags. "Tae-yah it sounds like you're finished. Wanna try relax a little?" Yoongi points out, slowly easing the younger's grip on the bag.
"Yoongi's right, Taehyungie. I'm sure Jungkook's happy to give you some company on the couch?" Seokjin smiles, and Taehyung swallows down a retch before weakly nodding. Yoongi manages to take the bag, making note to keep it away from Hoseok's general direction before disposing of it.
Seokjin and Jimin wipe down Taehyung's face, just as Namjoon comes back with the thermometer, holding it out. "Ah, thanks Joonie." Seokjin says, grabbing the device and hovering it over the second youngest's forehead. It beeps and reads, "39.1° (102.4°)" Seokjin says out loud, "shit. Taehyungie, you're really warm, how about we take your shirt off?" The eldest adds.
Taehyung nods, face blank and zoned out. "Arms up," Jimin helps take off the top, leaving Taehyung exposed on the couch. "Can I lay down with Jungkookie?" Taehyung looks up at Jin, then glances at the youngest. "Of course, Kookie? Is that okay?" Seokjin turns to Jungkook, who responds with a reassuring nod. Jungkook motions for Taehyung to come closer. With Hoseok's and Jimin's aid, Taehyung gets nestled on Jungkook's chest, both of them long ways on the couch. Jungkook has an arm tucked around Taehyung securely, while he listens to the soothing rhythm of Jungkook's heartbeat.
"Promise not to be sick on me?" Jungkook jokes, retracting the statement when Taehyung frowns sadly. "I'm sorry you're not feeling well, hyungie. You can throw up on me, that's fine." Jungkook kisses Taehyung's temple, ruffling his hair at the same time. At least that gets Taehyung to whimper-laugh, his body still isn't happy with him.
Before Taehyung lets himself drift off, he opens his eyes and scans the room. He sees five pairs of eyes staring back lovingly, the elder members smiling at the fondness between the two youngests. "Don't worry, Taehyung-ah. We'll be right here when you wake up." Yoongi hums, beginning to settle on one of their armchairs, letting out a huff when Jimin sits on his lap, but not making him move either. Fully reclining the other couch, Hoseok is comfortably squished between the leader and Seokjin.
"Okay, I love you, hyungs." Taehyung murmurs softly. He surrendered to the warmth of Jungkook's embrace, the presence of his brothers soothing him to not worry about any more dreams.
Hours passed and they slept semi-comfortably. Seven people in one living room was a lot. Slowly, Taehyung stirred awake, greeted by the gentle caress of Jungkook's hand on his head. Blinking away the sleep, he found himself still tucked up to Jungkook. "Hey there, sleeping beauty." Jungkook whispered.
Taehyung grinned weakly, "did I throw up on you?" He asked, voice raspy but amused. "Not this time, hyung." Jungkook chuckled. The lounge room was bathed in a morning glow, Taehyung noticed his other hyungs, still there and their expressions more relaxed. The worry he felt during his fever-induced dream was replaced by comfort, yes he was still uneasy but he now had some support.
"I told you we wouldn't leave, Taehyungie." Jimin chims in, perched on Yoongi's lap. "Thank you, Jiminie-hyung."

Chapter III: Blue || Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Taehyung stared mundanely at the scribbled notepad laying on the desk of his studio. His gel-inked pen tapped rhythmically onto the surface as he licked his lips  Short phrases were written across the sheet, insignificant notes in the corners, like, groceries or calling someone, but most of the space was taken up by doodles he drew out of boredom. He didn’t get very far today, maybe a sentence or two, but he doubted it’ll make sense. He breathed out and lightly threw his pen on the table before leaning back into the chair. Coming here was a bad idea.
Taehyung crafted many songs within this very room, Scenery, Blue & Grey, Winter Bear, and other unreleased content. He remembered the motivation he once had, the passion inside, and now there was a lack of it.
It has been a while since he stepped into the studio. After the break, he didn’t go into the HYBE building in hopes it did something to ease himself. But after almost a month of being away, Taehyung felt isolated as he only stayed home and went to therapy. But when he didn’t have to go in, he didn’t want to be home, so he’d go out, and that was about it. He acted like a potato when in actuality, he was a multi-billion-won idol.
He assumed coming back to the studio would be a nice change, maybe even pull out a song or two for his solo album. Everyone in the group has been working diligently on their individual projects with Hoseok having his album coming out. The only person that wasn’t working was Taehyung.
At least he and his members had some kind of agreement that he should pause his professional life. But then, it slowly went into a rant from Namjoon and Seokjin about his well-being and he disassociated from the conversation.
He had a few events in his schedule, but that was about it. With the amount of free time the idol had, he didn’t know what to do.
Actually, that was a straight-up lie. He did know, but he didnt know how to because it revolved around you.
It has been a few days since he ran into you. If he was honest, when you said that, it fucking hurt, like hearing your voice—the voice that brought him solace—telling him to leave you alone, it brought stabs to his chest. You were so cold within that short exchange, it wasn’t how he remembered you.
But it was still you.
You were still his Blue.
“Blue!!” Taehyung shouted as he barged into your room without notice.
On the floor resting on your stomach, you were coloring in your coloring book with colored pencils. You dragged the tinted led within the lines and filled the blank spaces. You were too focused on your activity, unintentionally ignoring your best friend.
“Blue!” He called your endearing nickname as he laid his body on top of you, squishing you in the process.
“Oof, Hyungie!” You whined his nickname, trying to push him away and he was heavier than you.
“Notice me!” He giggled before rolling off of you before he positioned himself right next to you as you proceeded with your coloring. “Hey! Hey!!!”
You puffed, closing your book to turn to your friend. “Yes?”
“I have something for you!” He announced with a cheeky grin. You leaned your cheek into the palm of your hand, letting it carry some weight as you waited for him. He reached behind him and dug into his back pocket, then pulled out a smooth rock. “Tada!!”
You gasped, “Ooo, this is the prettiest one yet!” You opened your unoccupied palm out to him. He passed the stone and you examined the newest one in your collection. The size was small enough to hold between your minuscule thumbs and forefinger as the ivory-beige surface reflected from the sunlight spilling through your window. You followed the glimmer as it flashed on the cheeks of your best friend.
You lowered your hand as you grinned happily, “I love it, Hyungie!” You threw yourself onto him to give your famous “blugs” as Taehyung loved to call them, also known as Blue hugs as they always made him happy or calmed him down.
He wrapped his arms around you as your cheeks touched with his, “You can add them to your collection.” You nodded as you got up from the floor to head into your closet where your collection box of various pebbles or rocks was stashed.
It wasn’t completely filled, maybe at most seven, as it only started a couple of months ago. You enjoyed it though and Taehyung knew you loved it so he too helped out with your hobby. Almost every single day, you begged him to find a rock for you.
You asked him before if he wanted to start a collection as well, but he said he didn’t need to since he was fine with the one he had. You were confused by what he said, but he clarified it by saying, “You’re the only rock I want.”
As you settled your newest one to the edition, you heard Taehyung speak, “Blue, do you wanna play with me and some kids at the playground?”
Your eyes widened at the suggestion. You weren’t that keen on leaving the house today. You’d rather stay home and color. Your neck extended back to him and you said, “Uhh, you can go without me.”
But your response only made your best friend pout, “But I love having you there, Blue.”
“W-will there be a lot of kids there?” You stammered, you fully turned your body to him and tilted your head.
“I’m not sure, but your grandma and my mom said yes!” He beamed a smile at you, only making you give in to him. You loved seeing him happy.
“Okay,” You nodded with a gentle smile back, but Taehyung somehow knew it was slightly discomforted. “You’ll play with me, right?”
Taehyung crawled towards you to put his hands on your shoulders. You stared at your large sparkling irises, waiting for him to speak. “I will always play with you, Blue. Just play a game or two with everyone.”
Your rosy cheeks protruded out, showing the authenticity of your smile. He loved that look on you. He squished your cheeks together and shook you a bit, causing you to whine at his playfulness.
“Don’t leave my side, okay?” You asked as reassurance.
“I’m never leaving your side, I swear.” He promised as he crossed his heart through his twisted fingers over his chest.
“Then let’s go!” You cheered before grabbing his hand to pull him up and run out of your house together.
Taehyung smiled softly at the memory. Rocks and playing at the park with other children seemed like strenuous tasks when you were younger. Looking back, he wished it was your only problem now.
You two trusted one another throughout your childhood, helping one another out. Whether it was helping to participate in socialization or homework, it was difficult but you eventually overcame it together. All without leaving each other behind.
It was always you two, Blue and Hyungie, a complete package to everyone’s eyes despite some of them begging to differ. They knew they couldn’t pull you both apart. It was merely impossible.
Funny how things changed. The broken promises, the hostility between each other—well, one-sided,—the impossible became possible.
He didn’t anticipate the meet because what were the odds? You weren’t one to move or go into the big city, because of how you were. You were so shy, quiet, and hesitant about a lot of things. But again, who knew? He hasn’t known what you’ve done through the years passed.
He knew what you had together was strained and it stung, but the moment he saw you, he knew. All the memories, all the years of friendship, all the promises were back, and most importantly, you were back.
He was determined to get you back into your lives. He’ll do what it takes.
-
“Why do you keep staring at the entrance?”
You averted your attention to your curious coworker. It was your night shift again, but today was slower than usual, especially for a Friday night. Maybe your usual customers were drunk elsewhere hitting on younger presenting women. Since it was too slow that no one was here, you had a break with Kenji as he slurped up noodles in front of you.
“I’m not? Just daydreaming.” You muttered, leaning your arms on the table. You eyed the tarp before you played with the straw of your drink.
“No, you’re waiting for someone to come,” Kenji smirked. “Specifically someone named V?”
“No,” You clipped as you rolled your eyes. “And why would someone have a single letter for a name? Fucking stupid.”
“You say no but I’ve been watching you do the same thing the past three days.”
“Are you spying on me, you creep?” You scoffed as you sipped your beverage.
“It’s an observation, especially when you’re working less than me. That’s not supposed to happen!” Kenji rambled his stressor onto you, but you remained unaffected. After gathering himself together, he cleared his throat. “Look, though you seem to act like you want nothing to do with him, you clearly want to see him again.”
“No, I don’t.” You replied shortly. “I-I’m just waiting for another customer to come in. It’s slow and I actually want to work unlike you.”
“Whatever.” He rolled his eyes before going back to his food. You then heard the tarp open, ready to serve the customer. You stood up and looked in that direction, only to frown publicly.
The customer before you had the eyes you didn’t openly want to see but can spot kilometers away even with your poor vision. He dressed more casually, in a hoodie and loose pants with a mask covering his face. You noticed it was only him, no Seojoon or Wooshik which deflated you a bit. Wasn’t he famous and needed bodyguards everywhere he went? What was Taehyung doing here alone on a Friday night?
“Ken, can you serve them? I have dishes to do in the back.” You tried excusing yourself, feeling Taehyung’s eyes on you.
“No, since you’re so passionate about serving the customers.” He said tersely as he munched on his noodles.
You grimaced at your coworker before glaring at him. You grabbed a menu and nodded towards any seat for him. He smiled back with ease and you hated it. You watched as he took the corner seat in the front, facing the back.
You cautiously walked towards him and placed the menu in front of him. “Welcome, how may I help you?” You spoke monotonously.
“I’ll have water and coke for now,” He asked sweetly. The tone was poisonous to your dark aura towards him but did your best to not show it. You hummed boringly before turning away from him to get his drinks. You don’t see it, but his eyes never left yours and it can be felt.
As you walked to the back, you heard Kenji say, “Have fun with your boy toy.” He stage whispered. Without turning your head, you merely flipped him off before you grabbed some cups. You heard Kenji let out his annoying laughter.
You came back to Taehyung’s table with his order in your hands. You placed them down before pulling out your mini booklet to write the orders. “What would you like?”
“How are you?” Taehyung asked as he looked up at you. Your eyes pulled away from the blank pad to get a good look at the idol. His expression held genuine curiosity and wonder toward you.
You didn’t like the feeling he gave you, so your only way to refute was through passive-aggressive statements. “What would you like, sir?”
“___, that’s too formal. You can call me—”
“I don’t care, what would you like to order?” You were brusque, despite him being a customer. It couldn’t be helped. If ignoring him wasn’t working, maybe anger would.
Taehyung frowned and a slight nip to his chest at the way you spoke to him. You detected his hurt, but you say nothing and waited for him to order. Knowing he needed to do a bit more effort but had to do it carefully, he sighed and ordered like any regular customer. You did your typical report back as confirmation before ringing in his dishes.
While waiting for his meal and for you to come back, Taehyung spotted the messages on his phone. They were all coming from Clara which made him pull a face of discomfort. Didn’t she have something to do tonight? The majority of the messages asked where he was or if he’ll be home for dinner, the standard bug of annoyance within his daily life.
He quickly texted back saying no and that he was out with friends as an excuse. Maybe she’ll leave him alone after that.
It was only until Clara texted at a record speed saying that she told him to go have fun and how she loves him when he saw you coming back with one of his dishes. Though he read it, he didn’t text back and locked his phone before you were near his peripheral vision. He shined an exciting grin on your animosity as you settled the plate down. You muttered a quick “enjoy” and were about to turn away until he called for you.
Your eyes met his and waited for his request. “Come sit with me.”
“Can’t, I’m busy with work.” You answered swiftly, not wanting to be near him.
Taehyung scanned the empty restaurant and cocked an eyebrow. “There’s no one here.”
“And so? I have other things to do besides attend to customers.” You snapped back. You didn’t bother to even wait for his answer as you went back to the kitchen to retrieve his other food. You noticed Kenji moved leisure spots as he was now sitting on one of the kitchen surfaces. He too viewed your irritated demeanor, trying to grab all the dishes at once.
“You got him all to yourself, you know?” Kenji grinned as he grabbed a baby carrot on the side.
“Shut up, it wasn’t my choice anyway because of your lazy ass.” You retorted, collecting the plates to your tray.
“I can sense that he did something to already annoy you.” He continued to speak without your consent. “Well, I don’t think he even needs to t—”
“You either help me pass these to him or else I’ll rip your nuts off.” You threatened before you stared deadly at his frightened expression. He got off his butt and assisted you with the food. He followed behind you out of the kitchen with a filled tray.
While you and he silently placed the orders on the idol’s table, Taehyung couldn’t help but stare at you. He begged for your attention, but you weren’t having it. He was trying his best to approach you gently, but it almost seemed impossible with how you were towards him. The only thing that was helping him was the fact that you needed to serve him.
“Enjoy your meal!” Kenji bowed at the idol with a smile while you stood straight with crossed arms.
Taehyung’s eyes flicked from you to Kenji, getting an idea out of nowhere. “W-would you both like to sit and eat with me? This is awfully a lot for one person?”
You rolled your eyes at what he was trying to do. “Well, that’s your fault. You ordered them so—”
“Anything for the customer!” Kenji exclaimed before grasping your arm and pulling you to sit down in front of Taehyung. Your coworker settled next to you and thanked Taehyung for the meal.
You turned towards Kenji and squinted, “You already ate and you do realize th—”
“I don’t care. Free food.” The younger man shrugged as he adjusted the chopsticks to his liking before digging into the food with no shame whatsoever. He shoved various vegetables and meats into his filled mouth without even chewing which disgusted you.
“___, aren’t you gonna eat?” Your eyes shifted to Taehyung who had yet to eat his food, tilting his head.
“I’m not hungry.” You said. It was a lie, but you refused to give him the satisfaction.
“Are you su—”
“She hasn’t eaten since breakfast.” Chunks of food flew out of Kenji’s mouth, making you both grimace at him.
But the very discovery of you not eating for hours had Taehyung concerned. The idol frowned in worry as he pushed the bowl of beef bone soup to you. “You need to eat more, it’s not healthy to skip meals.” He expressed before adding spicy sauce, garlic, and mints to the bowl. “I remembered this is your favorite and you loved putting these inside.” He recollected from memories with a proud smile.
You hated that your chest slightly tightened at how he remembered your favorite soup and toppings. It was something you were passionately particular with, especially with your soups since you loved the kick to it. “No, thanks. It’s not my favorite anymore.” You lied again as you leaned back into the chair. You refused to give him that pleasure.
“Oh.” Taehyung’s lips thinned into a line before looking down at the other plates.
Kenji raised an eyebrow at the encounter. He questioned how a world’s famous idol knew you and judging by appearance, tried to gain some sort of acceptance from you. He also wondered what happened between you two. But right now, you were making the atmosphere awkward, and wanted to enjoy his meal.
“Yah, just eat it! Don’t care if it isn’t your favorite.” Kenji muffled with food in his mouth. “Be grateful he’s feeding rats like us!”
Well, that did it because now you felt guilty about your childish behavior. Yes, it was irrational but to give to Taehyung, it wasn’t. He, unlike every human, didn’t deserve your kindness.
Still, knowing that Kenji would grow irritated at you for giving up a free meal, you let it go just this once. So you wordlessly picked up the spoon while dragging the bowl more to you. You scooped broth and sipped the warmth delicacy. Jesus, it hit the spot after starving for hours.
“Eat well, ___.” Taehyung desired for you with a gentle chuckle. The vibrations in his chest were evident, letting you remember the joy it rung in the past when he was with you. You eyed him out, consuming the meat the soup came with. You showed no effort to show your appreciation other than eating.
Though Taehyung got hurt by your overlook, he tried to feel better due to the fact you were still in front of him. He too began eating, but he attempted to start conversations with both of you. However, only Kenji was willing to yap his ass off, telling the idol his whole biography from start to finish.
Unluckily for an oblivious Kenji, Taehyung didn’t care as his gaze kept on your quiet state. You did not participate whatsoever and it showed as you made it blatantly obvious yet polite that you wanted to leave after finishing your meal within ten minutes.
Taehyung remembered how you would eat so fast especially when you’re hungry. Satisfaction ran across his body, staring at your familiar features. There were little things that he’d always remember about you, yet you remained stubborn in proclaiming you’ve changed.
“So how do you two know each other?” The question Kenji blurted out threw you both off. He went from talking about the time he stepped on a prickly coral in Busan to wanting to know the gossip between you too.
Taehyung blinked before furrowing his eyebrows, “Uhh, we are childhood best friends since we were five and six.” His tone was rather prideful for realizing how long he has known you.
“Were. We were childhood best friends.” You corrected as you sipped on some water.  “Not anymore.“
The idol felt disheartened. He assumed no one in your life knew who he was to you if Kenji had to ask. “You’re still my best friend.”
“Well, you’re not for me.” You immediately shut down, somewhat regretting the poison you’ve given.
Taehyung sighed and nodded, but it wasn’t for acceptance but for acknowledgment. “When my friends and I came here the other night, it was the first time I saw ___ in years so it’s nice to know a familiar unforgettable face like hers.”
“Oh, please.” You mumbled, scowling at his lying words which the idol caught.
“It’s true,” Taehyung murmured, yet his words were very much coherent to the workers. You thinned your lips, not buying into anything that came out of his mouth.
“Wow, so you knew V of BTS before he was even famous?” Kenji asked you in astonishment.
You couldn’t hide the fact when the allegations were clear on your face. Plus, putting effort into hiding you knew him required work that you didn’t want. “Yeah, I guess.” At least you acknowledged you knew him for Taehyung’s distraught sake.
“Ooh, how exciting!” Kenji cheered. “Was ___ always this bitchy?”
“Kenji!” You scowled before slapping his shoulder. Your coworker winced in pain, complaining about what he did.
Chuckling at your interaction with Kenji, Taehyung huffed out, “___ is the sweetest, kindest person you’ll ever meet.”
“I beg to differ.” Kenji scowled at you as you stuck your tongue out.
“I promise you she is.” The idol reassured, but you didn’t like how Taehyung was spreading things you didn’t want him to.
Your patience was running thin so you shouted, “You don’t know sh—”
“Oh my!” Another voice popped out of nowhere, grabbing the attention of the occupants from the table. It was your bosses. “Handsome boy! You’re back.”
“What are you talking about, Halmeoni? I’ve always been right here.” Kenji snorted with a boosting ego.
“You, hush up.” Harabeoji hissed at Kenji, causing him to pout.
Ignoring her grandson, she continued looking. “How are you, dear? Thank you for keeping them busy and with company.”
Taehyung shook his hand in disagreement, “Oh no, no need to thank me. I enjoyed my meal here the other day. I wanted to come again, and you have excellent servers.”
Though Kenji was pleased with the praise, you had revulsion written on your demeanor. You didn’t need his commentary or him.
“Halmeoni, this guy I told you about! He’s famous, he’s in BTS!” Kenji announced excitedly.
“Oh, you’re in BTS?!” The old lady’s jaw unlocked in shock. She scrutinized Taehyung’s face closer than normal before realizing it. “You are! You’re the handsome V! Oh my, V loves our food! Honey, V of BTS loves our meals!” She shouted out to her husband as she slapped his arm in excitement. Harabeoji also bounced in giddy at a celebrity in their restaurant.
Ugh, now the whole restaurant staff knew him and is going googoogaga at the idol.
“And ___ knew V from when they were younger.” Kenji didn’t need to add that in but he did anyways. You snapped your head back at your coworker and were about to protest but Halmeoni interjected.
“___, how come you never told us?” Your lady boss whined, almost as if she was scolding you.
Again, you wanted to vocal yourself out but someone interrupted. “Halmeoni, we actually haven’t seen each other in years, so coming here the other night was the first in a while,” Taehyung explained politely.
Halmeoni laughed in delight as she clapped, “Must have been exciting to see him again, right ___?”
You refused to answer that specifically so you merely shrugged. “Would be nice, but he seems fine with all his nice famous friends.” You thought it was a good time to get up and bus the table, so you did and let them continue the conversation without you. Taehyung knew what you were doing, but wasn’t able to acknowledge it as your boss spoke again.
“It’s so exciting to meet a celebrity! You work so hard, son.” She praised the idol. Though she meant no harm and he didn’t take it with heart, he was a bit vexed. He was indeed an idol and all, but he hated being seen like this in public.
“Halmeoni, if you do help me, please don’t tell anyone else about me.” Taehyung requested. “I like to be kept hidden in certain situations like this and please, just call me Taehyung.”
You eyed him out when he wasn’t looking. Maybe it was protocol for him since he was alone. At least he was polite enough to tell them because you could tell that him hearing “V” or “BTS” was bothersome.
“Got it, we’re sorry!” Harabeoji apologized on their behalf.
“No, no. It’s fine.” The idol chuckled forcibly to lighten the mood. “Just a special request. I’d love to come again if no one else disturbs me.”
They all nodded in agreement while you collected the empty plates. While doing so, Taehyung started helping you with it. You glared at him, touching your work. Feeling your anger, he said, “Don’t worry, it’s the least I can do for everything.”
“Sweet boy.” Your lady boss cooed at your helping hand.
“Great work, Hyung.” Kenji gave a thumbs up to the idol, feeling like it was only fair to call him that before the younger walked away from the scene. Taehyung didn’t seem to mind, but that’s only because he was too focused on you, wanting to be near you.
When everyone else left to go do whatever, you piled the dishes up and headed down to the kitchen. But not without Taehyung tailing you behind like a little duckling. You barely acknowledged him when you heard the swing door open twice, realizing he was following the entire time. You placed the dirty dishes into the sink for Kenji to do and Taehyung does the same.
You checked the time from the kitchen clock, discovering that it was closing time. So you brushed passed Taehyung to grab a rag and the mop and bucket to clean up for the day. As you wiped down the used table, you heard the bucket roll. You pivoted your head and saw Taehyung starting to mop for you.
Your right eye twitched at the sight before aggressively informing, “You know you can leave right?”
Taehyung’s eyes went from the floor to your blank expression. He gripped the handle, trying to ease himself from nervousness. You made him agitated with everything he has been doing. It was mainly the fact that he trusted your word when you were younger all the time and you meant well. He still does, but maybe your words were biased against his.
“Uhh, well…I haven’t paid for the meal yet.” He mentioned as he scratched the back of his neck.
You completely forgot about that, so it was on you. You hummed in response before dropping the rag to head down to the cashier behind the counter. Again, Taehyung came behind and waited in front of the countertop. You pounded the keys to his order before the receipt popped out. You ripped it off before putting it in the checkbook and sliding it to him.
After paying with ease, Taehyung then went back to his previous task—mopping. You grew puzzled as you caught up to him. Before he could even reach the mop, you rolled it away from him and hogged it. “I told you, you can leave.”
“Yeah, I can. But I don’t want to.” He countered. He reached out for the mop but you pulled back further. He sighed before he paced towards the rag you dropped on the table to continue to help clean up.
“No! Fucking leave!” You demanded, but he wasn’t listening as he went on wiping the tables. “Hey!”
“Just give up, ___!” Kenji called out from the kitchen, watching his entertainment come up. “We are short staff anyway!”
“What do you mean? For a small restaurant, we just need two! Even Halmeoni said she doesn’t want anymore because she couldn’t even pay no more than us!” You spat back, gaining another headache for the night.
“True, but leave it alone!” Your coworker defended. “Plus free labor!”
“I agree!” Halmeoni butted it, agreeing with her grandson.
You pouted furiously, knowing you were losing. Your temper was through the roof being in the presence of him. Though his face was contented and not in an arrogant way, you were irritated at his kindness.
Nevertheless, you went back to your duties as fast and efficiently as possible to shorten your time here. Taehyung was done way before you and even stacked the chairs on the table for you to mop through. You didn’t thank him but nodded in acknowledgment as he followed where you were mopping to put them up. You did complain that he went over the mopped areas to which he apologized but that was it.
You were finally done for the night, yet Taehyung was still here. You hung your apron on the rack as you bid your farewells to your bosses and Kenji. But when you tried doing so, everyone’s attention went towards the idol as they thanked him for his help and gave more sides and dishes to him as a gift.
you were being ignored, so you decided to leave. You were tired enough as is being awake since the early morning. It’s whatever. Clutching your bag, you sped out of the restaurant and breathed in the outside.
The air wasn’t as fresh but at least it wasn’t suffocating you like the inside. You had a minor migraine from this whole week and you mentally cried that you weren’t going to sleep right away. It was fine. The day was almost over and you could rest once get home.
“___!”
The day wasn’t over yet.
Not wanting to deal with him, you began walking your route to the bus stop. Unfortunately for you, the sounds of fast footsteps pitter-pattered behind. You tried to accelerate but due to his size and long legs, he was able to curve in front of you, halting your movement before you could even bump into him.
“___! Please let’s talk.”
“I’m going home.” You informed and you stepped to the side, but Taehyung seemed like a psychic when he knew which direction you were going. “Leav—”
“How are you, ___? It’s been a while.” Taehyung sincerely wondered as he looked down at you. You never realized how tall he has gotten, but that didn’t matter right now.
You grind on your teeth with your lips trembling in rage. Was he seriously going to ask you that despite the very last time you genuinely talked to him? You were so frustrated that you asked, “Why are you even here? Aren’t you gonna get into trouble wandering around the streets alone without your army of bodyguards, Mr. Big Shot?”
You spoke so wicked, it was unlike the best friend he had. You were upset with him, yet he did no harm right now.
“We have a break from our group, so no, and I don’t have bodyguards all the time, I don’t wanna talk about that right now,” Taehyung responded carefully and soundly, in contrast to your wrath. “___, I wanted to see you again.”
You laughed incredulously with a touch of ache in your heart. You almost believed him, but then you reminded yourself. “For someone who told me otherwise, it seems a bit much, isn’t it?”
The idol gulped, feeling the guilt consuming him. “I—“
“Save it, Taehyung. We met coincidentally. I didn’t expect to see you anywhere near here but it happened. But we should leave it like that. Goodbye.” You nudged your shoulder through him as you passed by, but he clasped your arm in desperation.
“B-Blue.”
Your pupils dilated at the sudden use of the childhood nickname he used to call you. The sound of the name coming out of his mouth used to be music to your ears. It brought up unwanted cherished memories that were now in vain. The nickname triggered you, and you fought back the tears that threatened to escape. “Do not fucking call me that!” You tugged back your arm once you finally met his devastated expression. “Leave it as is!”
“But…I don’t wanna leave it like this!” Taehyung raised his voice, attempting to emphasize his begging.
“Well, I want to! Now go to your many friends who are wayyyyy better.” You hurled back. “Go focus on your rich famous lifestyle with your fucking designer brands and leave me alone!”
“___, please don’t be like this.” The idol begged as he stretched out to hold your arm, but you stepped back, refusing to let him touch you.
“Why not?” You yelled. “It’s been almost ten years since you’ve last spoken to me. You don’t know what happened, what I went through, and who I am now. At that time, nothing between me and you. You have your members, fans, friends, family, and your dog.” You pattered as you listed things that he wasn’t expecting you to know, like his dog that he got way after you. Maybe you did know things, yet there were still things he knew nothing about you. “You don’t need me in it and I don’t need you either.”
You decided to end it from there, so you turned your heel and walked your path. When you were at a distance, you heard his gentle voice call out to you. “What if I need you now?” The slight crack in the sound grabbed your attention. You looked over your shoulder and peered at him, seeing tears were now falling down his face.
“What?” Your tone was more tender, as the way, he looked brought a betrayed concern in you, though you still held your angry face.
“I always needed you, but what if I really need you now?” He sniffled as he stepped hesitantly towards you. You weren’t moving away, so he assumed you let him come your way. He wiped the tears away with his hoodie sleeve. “I’m hurting, ___, a-and I don’t know how to deal with it. What if I need you now?”
You sighed, “Taehyung—“
“It’s Hyungie, remember? You’re the first and only one who called me that nickname.” He shook his head. He hated the distance you kept on, it didn't feel right. “Hyungie and Blue!”
“No!” You protested, trying to stand your ground. “Just because you’re going through some shit now should not make me suffice you for what you did.” You controlled your shaking breath, forcing yourself not to cry in front of him, and it was probably one of the hardest things to do. “You never considered how hurt I was when I lost you in my life, and for good. I lost my best friend that day, the only one that I could truly be myself with, the one who got me out of my shell, the one who made me smile, the one I loved.” You spoke honestly and wholeheartedly while also keeping certain things out because you knew you’d break in front of him. It was for the best anyway.
You explained further, getting most of your years of reflection out. “It was hard, starting all over. Trusting people is harder to get and receive, but it got better over time.” You semi-lied. You had friends here and there, but never consistent. You never had someone else like Taehyung. As much as it pained you to say, there was none like the friendship and love he had for you. “I was able to move on from all of that, and so can you.” You told him while you watched more tears streak down his reddened cheeks. “The person you need isn’t me now, so if you’re trying to find her, I can’t help you.”
He exhaled, trying his best not to cry so much in front of you. But his emotions got the better of him. “I admit I was an asshole for hurting you and I’ve always regretted it. But when I say I need you now, I want a friendship with you again. Past you, current you, future you, I don’t care! I want to make up for all that we’ve missed!”
“No.” You answered.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t want to.”
“That’s not a good reason.”
“Why do I need a good reason?” You scoffed, refusing to be swayed. “What happened in the past…”
“I know you don’t like our previous friendship, but why not like one with me now?” He suggested, but you still weren’t moved. Your demeanor remained hard and impenetrable.
“Taehyung, I wanted a friendship with you—I loved our friendship, but you blew it!” You complained as you pinched the bridge of your nose. He wasn’t getting you whatsoever. Was this really someone who you deemed as important in your life? Okay, that was a bit harsh. You didn’t like that. “What makes you think I want one now, knowing what happened before?”
“Like what you said, you’re different and I’m also different too! Please give me a chance.” He reasoned with a plea. He grabbed your shoulders and somehow you let him as your piercing gaze met his glassy eyes. “Please. You can’t punish me for what I did years back. I was stupid and childish!”
“You still are,” You whispered. “And you can’t tell me what to do, so I can. I will punish you for the shit you’ve done to me!”
“Jesus fuck, I forgot how stubborn you are.” He groaned, jaw clenching in irateness. But refused to let it get to him.
You unexpectedly grabbed his forearms in a gentle matter, surprising him with how you were being. But he thought about it too soon when you hauled his hands away for you even pinching it. He winced in pain, rubbing the sore areas when you spat out. “I’m never giving you a chance.”
He shook his head in denial. “Blue—“
“I will not change my mind. I hate you! Go fuck yourself, Kim Taehyung.” You barked as you felt your cheeks heating up in fury. “Have a nice life.”
With that, you finally left him be. You refused to give in. You didn’t spare a glance back no matter how many times he called you and your nickname. It hurt, but it had to be done. You knew he sobbed as you walked away. But little did he know, on the bus ride home, you too wept your heart out, seeing how broken you both were.

Snowed In -- PART ONE
sooo excited to share this with you guys! this is part one of my collaboration with the incredibly talented @crystalsnow95z ! Please go check out her page too if you like this, her works are amazing!
Anyways, I'm really sorry for the delay, I've been super busy, but I hope you guys enjoy. This one is really long!
TW: Vomit, fever, sickness
~~~~~
"Woah, too fast! Too fast!" Taehyung squeals, holding onto Jungkook tighter afraid to go flying off the sled.
Jungkook is having the time of his life, giggling. "It's okay Hyungie."
Jimin flies past them. "Looks like I'll win!" He sings the words, teasing the others.
"No you won't!" Jungkook tries leaning forward to try to go faster, his competitive nature shining through.
Namjoon runs a hand through his hair, wishing he’d brought a hat.  It’s freezing and he was forced to sit here and watch all his members sled down a hill with no end in sight. He wished he just stayed behind, but he didn't want to make the others suspicious and ruin the trip.  How are they not freezing? It's only 10 degrees out. He takes a deep breath as his stomach cramps and watches as Yoongi and Seokjin come up the hill.
“You ok, Joon?” Seokjin asks.
“I’m cold, hyung,” Namjoon says, taking an opportunity to go home as the snow starts coming down harder.  “Can we go back?"
“...” Seokjin looks at Yoongi.
“You look sick,” Yoongi says.  “Did you eat anything today?”
Namjoon pauses.  The answer is no.  But he doesn’t want to stress anyone out if they find out he’s not feeling well.
“Of course, hyung.  On the plane, when you guys were asleep.”  Yoongi looks suspicious.
“What’d you eat?”
“A bagel.  Can we please go back?  It’s freezing.”  Namjoon watches the other members come up the hill holding their sleds.
Yoongi looks at the sky.  “It is snowing pretty hard.  Maybe we should head back to the cabin?”
Seokjin shrugs.  “That’s fine with me.  The wind seems to be picking up, too.”  Namjoon sighs in relief.  He was starting to feel really nauseous, and the cold wasn’t helping.  “I’ll go tell the others.”
—-
The cabin isn’t as peaceful as Namjoon had hoped.  In his and Jimin’s shared bedroom, there’s peace, but he can still hear the chatter in the living room and kitchen.  It smells like hot chocolate, which would usually be a great thing, but it’s making him want to throw up now.
His stomach clenched when he heard the door open, Jimin bringing a cup of cocoa into the room. "Hyung, I brought you some cocoa. I wish you would've told me sooner how cold you were.."
"I didn't want to ruin your fun." Namjoon forces himself not to react when Jimin shoves the cup into his hands.
"It'll help you warm up." Jimin smiles warmly.
"Thanks Jiminie…" Cocoa was the last thing he wanted. Namjoon takes a sip, instantly regretting it, his stomach nearly pushed to it's limit, the cramps getting worse. "I was going to take a nap.. I'm still feeling jet lagged from the trip." It took all the strength he had to keep his voice steady.
"Oh, alright then.. I'll let you sleep then. Rest well hyungie." Jimin eyes Namjoon, wondering if he was really okay. He didn't want to bother him though. Not if he wasn't feeling well. As soon as Jimin leaves the room and he hears his footsteps get farther away, he rushes to the bathroom connected to the room, dropping to his knees in front of the toilet, gripping it tightly.  He couldn’t bother to shut the door in his rush.  He breathes for a moment before he starts vomiting.  He can hear some faint yelling over his gagging, but can’t decipher what anyone is saying until a voice gets closer and he hears footsteps coming towards him.  He smells Taehyung’s cologne, and it makes him more nauseous.  He subconsciously pushes the younger away, but he’s too weak to move him anywhere.  Taehyung’s hands go to his back and hair, holding his bangs back and patting him comfortingly.  He hears another pair of footsteps come in the room.  Seokjin, who joins Taehyung on the floor next to their leader.  Namjoon finishes and flushes the toilet, exhausted.
“What happened, hyung?” Taehyung asks.  “How long have you been feeling sick?”
“A few hours…” Namjoon wipes the sweat off his forehead and accepts the cup of water Seokjin hands him, taking a sip.  It makes his stomach cramp instantly as soon as he swallows.
“You should get some rest.”  Seokjin holds out his hand to help Namjoon up, but Namjoon's stomach has other plans, already gagging out the water he just swallowed.
"Are you gonna be sick again?" Seojin asked with a worried expression. Namjoon shakes his head. I don't have the energy..
Seokin trusts his word, helping the youngest rapper to bed with Taehyung's help.
"I wish you told us before we went out.." Taehyung frowns as he watches Seojin strips off Namjoon's sweat soaked shirt.
"I didn't want to ruin everyone's day.." Namjoon says softly, shivering despite his rising fever. "It's cold hyung…"
"I know, I'll get you changed okay?" Seojin quickly goes into Namjoon's suitcase looking for something breathable to put him in.
Taehyung cuddles against Namjoon in the meantime to try to ease the chills, smoothing down his sweat soaked hair. "Hyungie you should know you're more important than some silly snow day."
Taehyung please.. I don't want to cuddle you right now.. Namjoon covers his face, stomach churning at the scent of Taehyung’s shirt.
Taehyung takes the hint, moving away from him, trying to hide his hurt expression. "I'm sorry Hyung.."
"Namjoon-ah just doesn't feel well right now, don't take it personally Tae.." Seojin gently redresses Namjoon, covering him up with just the top sheet.
"Is Namjoonie hyung okay?" The soft voice of Jimin is heard in the doorway, Jungkook peering over him.
"He'll be fine, don't come in, and take Taehyungie with you."
 "I just wanted to help Hyung.." Taehyung says looking down at his hands. But Namjoon doesn't even want me near him..
"You can help. Why don't you see if you can find any medicine?" Seokjin gives him a task to try to ease Namjoon's rejection.
"Alright."
The three youngest leave together, the room getting quiet again. "Try to get some sleep for now.." Seokjin traces small circles across Namjoon’s stomach.
"I don't know if I can..it hurts.." Namjoon groans softly as his stomach gurgles again.
"Just try for me okay?" Seokjin runs his fingers to Namjoon's hair. "What if I sing for you?"
"What..? I'm not a child.." Namjoon considered it for a split second before feeling embarrassed.
"I know.. but it might help you sleep."
Namjoon wondered if Seokjin was lying to make him more open to the idea or if it was true, but before he could ask Seokjin started singing softly to him, gently drawing shapes on his bloated middle the youngest rapper falling into a restless sleep.
"Hyungie I can't find any tummy medicine but I found pain pills for headache.." Jungkook entered the room, freezing in place when he sees Namjoon's eyes flutter open.
"Shh Jungkook.." Seokjin narrows his eyes, stroking Namjoon's back softly to try to get him back to sleep, but it was too late.
"Sh*t.. I'm sorry Hyungie.." Jungkook bows, guilt gnawing at his belly.
Namjoon groans in pain and Jungkook winces.  “Hyung,” he mumbles, looking at Seokjin.  “Hurts…”  His stomach is killing him.  He can’t remember having something like this before.  The pain is horrible.  Seokjin puts his hand over Namjoon’s stomach and rubs it lightly, but Namjoon pulls it away.  “Ahh…” he grimaces, frowning when he sees Jungkook.  “Jungkook-ah…” he mumbles before another cramp hits him, twisting his stomach and making him moan in pain again.
“I brought some headache medicine.  Does your head feel ok?” Jungkook asks cautiously.  Namjoon blows out a breath slowly, controlled.
“It hurts,” he says softly.  It’s not a terrible headache, but the pain in his stomach might get better with painkillers.
Jungkook approaches the bed and hands Namjoon two red pills, which he puts in his mouth and takes the glass of water from the bedside table and drinks it.  He instantly regrets it, feeling nausea rise up his throat.  He’s freezing cold again, which doesn’t help.
“You’re shivering, Joonie,” Seokjin says softly, putting his hand on Namjoon’s forehead.  “You’re burning up…”
“I’m freezing,” Namjoon says.  “I need more blankets.”
“We can’t do that, Namjoon,” Seokjin says.
“We can give him a hot bath so he can sweat the fever out,” Jungkook suggests.
“Does that work?” Seokjin asks.
“My mom used to do it for me,” Jungkook says.  Seokjin sighs.
“I don’t know if I want to risk it.  It could just make his fever way higher,” he says.
           "We have to try something.. we can take him out if it looks like he's doing worse.."
“Joonie, how does a hot bath sound?” Seokjin asks.  Namjoon nods.
“Let’s go,” Seokjin helps Namjoon up and to the bathroom, starting to run the water.  Namjoon leans against the wall with his arms across his stomach and eyes shut.  His stomach hurts so bad, and the nausea from taking the pills is getting worse.  He doesn’t know if this bath will upset his stomach more.  He’s too freezing cold to decline it though.  He’s shirtless and only wearing his pants and boxers, but he’s sweating like crazy.  He sits back and tries not to throw up for the time being until he hears Seokjin turn off the faucet.
“Stand up, Joonie, let’s take off your pants.”  Namjoon follows, standing shakily and placing a hand on the wall to hold himself from collapsing.  Seokjin gently pulls his pants off, leaving his boxers on.  Namjoon always prefers to be modest, even in a situation like this, Seokjin knows he’d rather keep his boxers on.  Seokjin guides the younger into the bathtub.  Namjoon visibly relaxes at the heat of it, but Seokjin can hear his stomach make an uncomfortable gurgling sound.  Namjoon places a hand over it and leans back against the edge of the bathtub.  He’s absolutely exhausted.  The hot water feels nice on his shivering body, but he’s worried it’ll make his temperature rise.  Seokjin cups water in his hand and gently pours it over Namjoon’s hair.  Namjoon jolts in surprise, his stomach gurgling audibly again, and his eyes fly open.  He looks nauseous again.  Seokjin strokes his hair.  “You’re okay, Joonie, he says.”  Namjoon shakes his head, panicked.
“Hyung–I’m gonna be sick.”
“Just breathe, Joonie,” Seokjin says.  “In…out…in…out…” Namjoon follows, relaxing a bit.  “Good job.  Just relax, I’ll wash your hair.”  Namjoon shivers visibly.  Seokjin puts a hand to the younger’s forehead.  “Sh*t…I knew it.  Your fever is getting worse.”
       Seokjin washes him up as quickly as possible, but he wasn't fast enough.
        Namjoon tried to warn him, his stomach forcing out the water he used to wash down the pills, covering his mouth to keep from getting sick in the water, desperately leaving the water to reach the toilet, soaking the floor in the process.
       "Sh*t..Namjoon-ah.." Seokjin wraps a towel around his shoulders, gently trying to dry him off as the pills he just swallowed come back up, splashing into the water.
      Namjoon continued to dry heave until more sick comes up, making his abdomen throb painfully.
       "You need to breathe..Namjoon.. take a deep breath for me."
        Namjoon takes a deep breath, then another, relaxing when the dry heaving dies down, just laying on the wet tile floor.
      "You need to get properly dried off." Seokjin urges, trying to get Namjoon to sit up, but Namjoon flinched away from the olders touch.
       "Just..just a minute..please…?" Namjoon's head was spinning, the nausea still swirling in the pit of his stomach.
       I knew it wasn't a good idea..Seokjin sighs, getting another towel to do his best to dry Namjoon without him moving, fluffing his hair against the towel.
       "I'm so tired…" Namjoon says between deep breaths, trying to keep his stomach under control.
        "I know. Let's get you to bed. Okay? You can't sleep here.." Seokjin once again gently pushes Namjoon to sit up, relieved when Namjoon doesn't fight against him.
        "Did it work?" Jungkook asks, his heart tightening when he sees Namjoon. Oh no.. I made it worse…
         Namjoon was hardly awake his cheeks flushed with fever shivering violently, Seokjin basically dragging him to the bed.
           "Find me clothes for him." Seokjin orders. "Please.."
            Jungkook ruffles through Namjoon's suitcase, pulling out a pair of sweats and a plain white t-shirt. "Here Hyung.."
          "Is..is there anything else I could…could do to help?" Jungkook felt his throat tightening, his emotions threatening to spill over.
          "No. I got it from here." Seokjin dismisses him, wishing that he didn't try his idea. He didn't want to take his frustration on the young maknae. All he wanted to do was help. One of the others will comfort him.
          Jungkook nods leaving the room.
          "Cold…" Namjoon mumbles as Seokjin takes off his wet undergarments.
           "I'll get you warmed up, just try to work with me for just a minute." Seokjin struggled to lift him enough to get the sweats on. "Namjoonie you aren't making this easy.."
              "I'm sorry.." Namjoon says softly, trying to help by holding himself up with one arm as Seokjin gets the shirt on him, only lasting a few seconds before another wave of dizziness washes over him, making his stomach woozy one more. "Hyung.. dizzy.." He softly moans.
           Seokjin stops what he's doing to hold Namjoon close to him, wincing when his bare skin touched his arm. "I got you, you're okay.. you're okay.." Seokjin strokes his damp hair.
             "Make it stop.." Namjoon whines softly.
             "I would if I could baby.. just bear it a little longer. It'll pass.." Seokjin speaks softly, running his hand down Namjoon's back lightly scratching.
Namjoon held onto Seokjin tightly until the feeling passes, collapsing into him when his body finally relents.
            "Are you okay Joon?" Seojin asked barely above a whisper, getting no response. "Namjoon?" He repeats a little louder, gently moving Namjoon away from his chest biting his lip when he sees the unconscious rapper in his arms, unsure on if Namjoon simply fell asleep, or if he fainted. I need to do something..
           Seokjin looks up home remedies for fever on his phone, willing to try anything to give at least a little relief to his leader. Luke warm water. I need to use luke warm water…
          He leaves the bed as quietly as possible, going to the bathroom to get a washcloth, using a cup to fill with water, returning to the bed, folding it neatly across Namjoon's forehead, jumping with Namjoon twitches.
           "Aiish.." He covers his mouth, not meaning to make a sound. Good..he's still out.. Seokjin sighs, refreshing the cloth everytime Namjoon's feverish skin made it warm again.
        I'll have to see if I can get him to drink water when he's up again.. Seokjin makes a mental note.
         "How is he?" Hoseok whispers, peeking into the room. "Jungkookie was really upset.."
           "I'm not sure.." Seokjin sighs. "Is Jungkook okay? I didn't mean to be so harsh on him. I'm just stressed out.”
            "Jiminie and Taehyungie are cheering him up. They were driving me up the wall with all their concerns. I'm glad they're distracted now.." Hoseok couldn't look at Namjoon. Seeing his members in pain broke his heart. "Is there anything I could do to help?"
              "He's sweating so much, he's going to dehydrate.. could you see if we have anything like vitamin water?"
“Sure.  I’ll be right back.”  Hoseok leaves the room and Seokjin brushes the blonde hair off Namjoon’s sweaty face.
“Joonie, wake up for me, please,” he says softly, patting Namjoon’s cheek gently.  Namjoon’s eyes flutter open and he groans in pain.
“Hyung…” he mumbles.  “It hurts…”
“I know, Joon.  Where does it hurt?”  Namjoon rips the towel off his forehead and turns to his side.
“Stomach…head…” Namjoon groans again and wraps his arms around his stomach.  Seokjin rubs his back gently.
“You’re okay, Joon.  You need to try and drink a little, or you’ll get dehydrated.”  Seokjin can already see Namjoon is sweating heavily again.  “Let me rub your stomach,” he says, placing a hand on Namjoon’s belly.
“No, hyung…” Namjoon mutters, pushing it away.
“What can I do to make you feel better?”
“Nothing,” Namjoon says.
“Can I hold you?” Seokjin asks.  Namjoon shakes his head furiously.  Seokjin feels useless.  He knows Namjoon isn’t a fan of physical affection, but usually when he’s sick he’ll tolerate it.  This is different though.  Seokjin hasn’t seen Namjoon this sick in a long time.  Seokjin sighs as he hears a whimper and sees a tear running down Namjoon’s cheek.  “You’re okay, Joonie,” he says softly, wiping the tear off Namjoon’s face with his sleeve.  Namjoon winces at the texture on his sensitive skin.
“Hyung…” he whines.
“Sorry, Joon,” Seokjin whispers, pressing a chaste kiss to Namjoon’s forehead.  He’s still burning hot from the fever.  “Can I put the wet towel back on you?” he asks, and Namjoon nods.  Seokjin gently places it back on the younger’s forehead, rubbing his back.  He feels bad for being snappy with Jungkook, but he’s frustrated at how much worse the maknae’s idea made Namjoon’s fever.  He doesn’t know what to do.
“Hyung?” Hoseok walks in with a bottle of Pocari Sweat.  “I have this…”
“Perfect, Hobi.  Thank you.”  Seokjin takes the bottle and hands it to Namjoon.  “Sit up, Joon.”  Namjoon weakly pulls himself up, moaning at the pain it causes.  He puts the bottle to his lips, slowly drinking the gel inside.  It tastes awful and makes him feel even more nauseous despite how nice it feels on his scratchy throat.  After emptying a quarter of the bottle, Namjoon hands it back to Seokjin.
“H-hyung,” Namjoon mumbles.
“What is it, Joonie?”
“I’m so cold…”
“Can I hold you?” Seokjin asks again, and this time, Namjoon nods.  Seokjin lays down next to Namjoon, pulling him close and rubbing his back slowly.
“Aish…you’re burning,” he says.  “I don’t know what to do with you.”
“Is there anything else you need?” Hoseok asks.
“We’re okay, Hobi.  Thank you.”
“Hobah..” Namjoon says.
“I’m here, Joonie,” he says.
Namjoon whines softly.  “Don’t go.”
“You…want me to stay?” Hoseok smiles, but Namjoon doesn’t respond.  Seokjin feels Namjoon’s body go limp in his arms, his breathe getting slower.
“He’s sleeping now,” Seokjin whispers, rubbing Namjoon’s back.
About 30 minutes pass by with Hoseok sitting on the chair in the corner and Seokjin cuddling Namjoon.  “What time is it, Hobi?” Seokjin asks.  Hoseok looks at his phone.
“It’s 6:00, hyung.  I’m really hungry,” Hoseok responds.
“Me too…”
“We should go have dinner,” Hoseok says.  Seokjin hesitates.
“I don’t wanna leave Joon here by himself…what if he wakes up and panics?”
“Hyung, he’s dead asleep.  We both need to eat.” Seokjin nods and pulls away from Namjoon slowly, being careful not to wake the leader.  The two go to the kitchen where they find that Taehyung has cooked dinner for them.
“How’s Namjoon-hyung?” Jungkook asks.  His eyes are red.  He’s been crying.
“He’s…he’s sleeping,” Seokjin says honestly.  “Jungkook…I’m sorry I was so harsh with you.”
Jungkook smiles.  “It’s okay, hyung.  I’ve already eaten.  I can go check on him,” he says.  Seokjin nods.
“Let me know if he’s doing bad again.”  Jungkook nods and walks over to Namjoon and Jimin’s room, sighing as he sees his leader shaking in his sleep.
           "I'm sorry Hyungie.." Jungkook whispers softly as he checks the cloth on his forehead, already warm again from Namjoon's feverish skin. I made it worse.. Jungkook sniffles, forcing his tears away. I don't have time to feel bad.. I need to do something..
         Jungkook wets the washcloth again, slowly running it over Namjoon's skin, wiping down his arm then across his exposed collar bone.
         "Mn…Hyung..cold…" Namjoon complains softly in his sleep voice coming out in a low husky tone.
          Jungkook stops in his tracks, putting it back in place on his forehead. I don't want to wake him up, but I can't just sit here and do nothing.. He sighs in frustration, gently playing with Namjoon’s soaked hair.  Namjoon’s face twists in discomfort and he rolls onto his side.  Jungkook can tell Namjoon is about to be sick by the sounds his stomach is making and how pale he’s getting.  He rubs the older’s back, hoping for it to maybe, just maybe go away after a few minutes.  Namjoon’s back is burning hot.  Jungkook wants to take his shirt off, or pull the blankets off, or something to help reduce his temperature.  He knows it’s his fault that Namjoon’s fever got even higher, and the guilt is killing him.
            He rubs Namjoon’s back comfortingly as he hears the leader groan in discomfort.  Namjoon’s eyes open, and Jungkook can tell he’s about to pass out, throw up, or both.
           "Hyung, do you need help up?" Jungkook asks in a small voice when he notices Namjoon sitting up, but he doesn't answer, trying to rush to the bathroom, staggering towards the bathroom.
          Jungkook tries to help, trying to grab his arm to help lead him, but Namjoon pushes him away.
           "No.. go.." Namjoon manages to force the words out hoarsely. He had already gotten sick in front of Taehyung. He wasn't going to add Jungkook to that list.
             Jungkook watches him shut the door, hearing Namjoon heaving from the other side of the door. I need to get Seokjin-hyungie.. He rushes into the kitchen where the older boys were eating.
           "Namjoonie-hyung is getting sick again. He shut me out, I need help!" Jungkook says without taking a breath. Seokjin went to get up from his half eaten meal, but Yoongi stops him.
            "I'll go. You eat. I'll handle it hyung." Yoongi rushes to the bathroom, going to Namjoon's side, rubbing his hand across Namjoon's back as he heaves.
             "Jun…Jungkook I said-" His words are cut off by another round of sick spilling into the bowl.
             "Namjoon-ah, it's me and I'm not leaving." Yoongi tells him firmly.
Namjoon relaxes a little, feeling comfort from Yoongi's presence. "It'll be over soon. Just try to breathe Namjoon."
Namjoon takes deep breaths between gags, collapsing against Yoongi as they die down.
           "Sh*t Namjoon, you're burning up.." Yoongi swears, grabbing for a piece of toliet paper to wipe across the edges of Namjoon's mouth. "I need you to drink some water for me Joon."
 Namjoon shakes his head. I don't want to throw up again.
            "I know it sucks, but you'll only get worse if you don't. Come on Namjoon.."
Yoongi gently props Namjoon against the bathtub, quickly moving to the sink to get a cup of water.
            "Yoongi-yah…no…" Namjoon argues when Yoongi puts the cup by his lips.
            "Namjoon please, just try." Yoongi tried to hide the desperation in his voice. It's been years since he's seen Namjoon this bad. "Just a sip."
Namjoon takes a few sips, washing the awful taste from his mouth and soothing his raw throat, but it already felt like a stone in his stomach, turning his head away.
"Good job Joon, that's all I wanted.."Yoongi gently pulls Namjoon to his feet, struggling to move him forward. Namjoon was hardly conscious, being mostly dead weight. "Stay with me a little longer okay?"
Namjoon tried his best to stay up, but he used the last of his energy. The older rapper just barely makes it to the bed before Namjoon stopped holding onto him, almost making both of them topple to the floor. "Fu*k Namjoon..you're heavy.."
Namjoon murmurs an apology. Yoongi takes off Namjoon's shirt, taking advantage of his lack of power to fight against him, finding the rag and wiping it across Namjoon's scorching back.
Namjoon had his eyes closed, but he didn't look anywhere near peaceful. His breathing was labored and his hand was still wrapped tightly around his lower abdomen, an upset gurgle coming from it the sips of water sitting uncomfortably in his stomach.
"Poor Joon-ah.."Yoongi whispers, wiping the cloth across Namjoon's shoulders, across the back of his neck then going down his arm. I need to get his fever down…
"Hyung..will you lay with me?" Yoongi jumps in surprise when he hears the hoarse whisper of Namjoon.
"Sh*t..you scared me.. i thought you were out.."
"I can't sleep.. it hurts.." Namjoon whines.
"I know, I know..Let me wash you up first, okay? I need to cool you down first. ." Yoongi does the best he can to wash off the sweat, his heart tightening when he sees Namjoon trembling, despite his high fever.
"It's cold.." Namjoon grabs onto Yoongi's wrist to stop him. "Please Hyungie.." Namjoon's voice comes out sounding much younger.
Yoongi stops in his tracks. "You're really sick Joon-ah.. Alright.. come here.." He takes a seat next to him, holding out his arms.
Namjoon cuddles up to him, Yoongi forcing himself not to flinch when he feels his hot skin brush against him. He's already sticking to me.. He couldn't recall the last time Namjoon cuddled up to him. He wasn't known for being the cuddly type like Taehyung or Jimin. It just made him worry more.
"It hurts Hyung.." Namjoon whimpers, clutching his stomach when another ripple of pain tears through his stomach.
Yoongi reaches slowly, rubbing his hand across Namjoon’s stomach to try to ease the pain, feeling it tightening underneath his palm.
Namjoon moans in time with a harsh cramp, and Yoongi shushes him.  “You're ok, shh, Joonie,” he says softly.
“Ahh…hurts…” he whines.  Yoongi presses down harder, trying to work out a cramp, and Namjoon curses under his breath.  “Hyung…f*ck, it hurts so much.”  Yoongi can see Namjoon starting to shiver.
“What should we do, Joonie?”
“Don’t know…” Namjoon sighs.  He’s too weak to even sit up.  His brain is foggy and he has no idea what would make him feel better.  The pain is getting worse every second and he’s not sure how much longer he’s going to be able to take this.  Barely anything works on his sensitive stomach.
“I can get some painkillers for you, Joonie, but I really don’t know what to do beyond that.”
“Get Jimin,” Namjoon says, his speech slurring.  Jimin always knows how to cuddle him just the right way when he’s sick, just the right sweet things to say to make him feel a little less miserable and get his spirits up a tiny bit.
         "Alright Namjoon." Yoongi gently escapes from the sick rapper, leaving to get Jimin.
         "What's wrong? Has he gotten worse?" Jin asks, ready to spring up to go back to Namjoon's side.
          "He has, but he wants Jimin.." Yoongi states.
           "What? He asked for me?" Jimin's eyes widen in surprise.
          "I think he just wants to be comforted. I'm not the best at that.." Yoongi scratches the back of his neck shyly. "I tried my best. It's your turn now."
Jimin gets a water bottle to take with him, hoping he could get him to drink at least a little bit."Hyungie, I'm here.."
            "Minah…" Namjoon's voice comes out soft, the first part of his name getting cut off by a whimper.
Jimin puts the water down, curling around Namjoon. I don't want to stress him out more. He wanted cuddles, that's what I'll give him. He's so hot though..
          "My poor Hyungie, it's okay.. It's okay.." Jimin runs his hand up and down Namjoon's side with his gentle touch, leaning his head on him. "We'll get you feeling better soon.."
Namjoon wasn't processing what Jimin was saying to him, but he enjoyed Jimin's soothing tone.
          "We'll think of something to make you feel better. Maybe we can find a good mix of herbal tea.." Jimin continues just saying sweet nothings, gently rubbing his face against Namjoon's cheek. He's hardly conscious.. Jimin bites the inside of his cheek, just barely letting his fingers brush against Namjoon's belly, smiling softly when he feels some of the tension in Namjoon's body let up. "That's it Hyungie, relax.. I'll still be here when you wake up, just try to sleep for now.."
Namjoon relaxes, and after some time, he falls asleep.
Jimin leaves when he sees that Namjoon is comfortably asleep, going into the living room and seeing all of the other members.
“How is he?” Seokjin asks.
“He’s asleep.  I think we should take him to the hospital, though.  He’s burning hot and in a lot of pain.”
“I don’t think we can, Jiminie…” Seokjin says.  “It’s a blizzard outside.  We can’t even see five feet out of the window.”
“And our cell phones aren’t working.” Jungkook frowns, empathizing his point by showing Jimin his phone.
           "We're lucky all this snow hasn't knocked the power out.." Yoongi adds in.
            "Yoongi-hyung, don't you jinx us!" Taehyung frets. "We're having enough trouble already.."
            "We have to think of something.."  J-hope sighs in frustration.
             "We're doing all we can. At least he's sleeping.." Seokjin looks around the room at the members. I have to do something. Everyone's stressed..
               "Maybe, maybe we can go out on our own. If we drive really really slowly. It's better than just sitting around watching him slowly get worse." Jungkook whines desperately, staring at the flurry of snowflakes out the window.
               "You know we can't do that.." Seokjin tries to comfort Jungkook, but be jerked away from his touch.
"But Namjoonie-hyung needs medicine..he's burning up with fever and he can't even sleep with his stomach constantly making him feel sick. We have to try!" Jungkook says with frustration, clenching his fists together. "We can't just do nothing!"
"We're doing all we can, there's no way we can drive in that storm. You can't even see the trees right outside the window. It's too dangerous Koo." Jin tries to calm Jungkook by stroking his hair, this time accepting his touch. Jungkook sighs, taking a few breaths to calm himself.
"What if we walk?" Jungkook looks hopelessly at Jin, already knowing the answer, tears swelling up.
"No way." Yoongi answers for Jin. "Are you trying to get lost in this mess? The nearest town is miles away. You'll end up with hypothermia before you even get halfway."
The boys stop their arguing when they hear Namjoon heaving again, Jin rushing back into the bathroom, kneeling beside Namjoon who had his head in the toliet bowl. "Namjoon-ah, it's okay..it's okay.. Hyung is here." Jin rubs his back and Namjoon spits into the toilet, only saliva coming up. Hyung, make it stop, it hurts so much.. Namjoon couldn't get the words out, only a small whimper coming as he holds his sore middle, his muscles finally pushing up acid, burning his throat.
"I know, I know, just try to breathe for me okay?" Jin scratches his nails lightly across Namjoon’s back.  Namjoon tries, but he’s too distressed to breathe properly.  Namjoon gags empty, whimpering.
“It hurts,” he says softly.
“Shh…I know, Joon.  You’ll be okay.  I’m here.  I’ll keep you safe.”  Namjoon finds comfort in that, calming down a bit.  Seokjin puts his hand on Namjoon’s forehead.  Sh*t.  You’re even hotter than before.  I don’t know what to do…” he says softly.  “We might have to give you a cold bath.”
“No…” Namjoon says.  “Please, no…”
Seokjin is about to say something, but suddenly, the lights start flickering.
“Hyung?” Namjoon’s voice is deep, but he sounds scared.  The lights shut off, and Seokjin can’t hold back a curse under his breath.  He hears footsteps come to the bathroom and Yoongi shines his phone’s flashlight at them.  “Sh*t…you guys too?”  Namjoon winces at the light and Seokjin nods.
“There’s some candles in the kitchen…” Taehyung comes up behind Yoongi.  Namjoon turns away from the light.  His head is hurting again, the bright lights not helping.
“Let’s get him to bed,” Seokjin says.  Taehyung comes over and helps Namjoon up, the two of them bringing Namjoon to his bed with Yoongi behind him.  Namjoon instantly rolls to his side, completely exhausted and still feeling nauseous.  Taehyung lays next to him and rubs his hand up and down his hyung’s burning back.  Namjoon sighs at the feeling of Taehyung’s hand.  It feels nice, but he’s still not comfortable with his stomach rolling and head pounding.
“Do we have medicine?” Yoongi asks Seokjin.
“Namjoon might have some Ibuprofen,” he says.  “For his migraines.”  Namjoon shakes his head hard.
“I’m not taking anything…my stomach is killing me.”  Taehyung puts his hand on Namjoon’s stomach, feeling it tense and cramp every few seconds.  “Poor hyungie…” he says softly, rubbing gently.  Namjoon seems to relax at the touch, breathing more slowly.
“Your fever is gonna make you worse, Joonie.  You could pass out.  Or start hallucinating,” Seokjin says.  “Just try to take some and don’t throw up for an hour or so and you’ll start feeling better.”  Namjoon doesn’t want to.  He doesn’t want to faint or start hallucinating, but he really doesn’t want to throw up again.  Everything hurts and he’s exhausted, but he can’t sleep with how uncomfortable he is.
“Please, Joonie-hyung,” Taehyung says, and Namjoon shakes his head.  Jungkook comes into the room with two lit candles and places them on the dresser.  “What’s going on?” he asks.
“We’re trying to get Namjoon to take some medicine but he won’t..” Yoongi says.  Jungkook frowns in sympathy, then sits on the bed facing namjoon, running a hand through his sweaty hair.
“Can you please try to take a little, hyung?” Jungkook asks, looking at Namjoon with round worried eyes.  “You’ll feel better if you do.”  He knows Namjoon and his soft spot can’t say no to him, even when he’s feeling like this.
Namjoon sighs. I can't say no when he looks at me like that.. "Alright..I'll try.."
Seokjin brightens up, quickly getting medicine from the bottle before he changes his mind. "Here Joon." He places the pill on Namjoon's tongue, quickly getting him a sip of water to help swallow it down. Please just drink a little more…
Namjoon takes a few mouthfuls of water before turning away from his eldest hyung."No more.."
"That's okay, you did good.." Taehyung smiles softly, gently rubbing his fingertips across Namjoon's cramping stomach.
"Thank you hyung." Jungkook says softly.
"I'm so tired.." Namjoon says in a hoarse whisper.
"Then we'll let you sleep.. Do you want me to take Taehyungie with us?" Seokjin asks, ready to remove the clingy vocalist but Namjoon shakes his head, still feeling guilty for how he treated him earlier.
"He's okay.."
"Get me if there's any change Tae. Take care of him." Seokjin gathered up the others and leaves the two alone.
Namjoon slowly started to drift off, his migraine becoming more manageable. Taehyung was humming as soft as he could as he continues to make feather light touches on Namjoon’s cramping belly.
Taehyung stops when he hears Namjoon start to snore. He's finally asleep, but for how long? He uses his sleeve to try to wipe some of the sweat off of Namjoon's brow. He's still sweating..
Taehyung reaches for the wet cloth slowly, fearful that the slightest wrong move would wake him, just barely grabbing it from the tag, wiping it gently over Namjoon’s body.
Just when Taehyung thought Namjoon was finally starting to recover, he felt his muscles tensing up again, the older quickly sitting up. "Taehyung.." His voice came out as a pained groan as another wave of nausea hits like a tidal wave, making him gag, mouth filling with hot sick, his cheeks puffing out.
 "Hyung hold on I'll get-" Taehyung was too late, as he rushed to get the waste bin from the floor Namjoon had already started trying to scramble over him as his body pushes up more sick than he could hold down getting it on Taehyung, the side of the bed, then finally the bin on the floor, trying to prop himself up by his elbows. The pressure he was putting on his own stomach only worsened the pain, causing tears to run down his cheeks.
"Oh no Hyung.." Taehyung runs his hand down Namjoon's spine, feeling it arch as he continues to heave.
"Se-seokjinnie-hyung!" Taehyung yells coming out shaky with panic. "Yoongi-h-hyung!"
The two eldest run into the room Yoongi slowly lifting the bin from the floor keeping it by Namjoon’s face as Seokjin helped him sit up again. "Aiigo Namjoon-ah.. you're okay, you're okay.."
"N..no.." Namjoon sobs, all the stress on his body catching up with him. "I..i..can't do..do..ev..ev…" Another heave comes, cutting him off, only adding to his frustration causing even more tears to flow.  Seokjin rubs his back gently.
“You’re okay…”  Namjoon wipes his eyes and leans back.
“What happened, Taehyung?” Yoongi asks, taking the bin from Namjoon.
“He just woke up like this…and started vomiting.  I have no idea what happened.”  Seokjin uses a tissue from the side table to wipe Namjoon’s forehead from sweat.
“You’re burning hot, Joonie…we’re gonna have to give you a cold bath…”
Namjoon shakes his head.  “Please…no…I’m freezing…” Namjoon’s eyes look glassy and his usually tan skin is pale.
Seokjin glances at Yoongi, who shrugs.  “I think we have to…”
We Started It
Chapter 8: Dawn
Taehyung wakes up to the gentle murmur of voices around him and the feeling of hand gently running though his hair. He grunts as he turns his head away from the harsh light, burying his head deeper into the soft pillow his head is laid on.
“Aw hyungie, you’ve gone soft,” Hobi’s voice coos, a laugh bubbling from his mouth as he speaks.
“Shut up Hoseok, before I throw something at your sunshine face.” Yoongi grumbles, the hand in Taehyung’s hair tugs a slight knot out as it brushes through.
“With what hand,” Hobi scoffs. “Both of yours are occupied.”
Taehyung lifts his head and pouts at Hobi, “Can’t you be quiet, I’m trying to sleep.”
Hobi rolls his eyes as he stares down at him with his arms crossed over his chest, “Are you done using hyung’s thigh as a pillow, Taehyungie? We need to get to work on those computers Joon brought back from the base.”
Taehyung groans and sits back in his chair, yawning widely as he scrubs his face. “How are you even awake so early?”
“It's the middle of the afternoon, Taehyung.” Hobi corrects, chuckling at his confused expression. “Even hyung woke up before you and he’s the one in the hospital bed.”
Taehyung blinks, a frown forming on his face as he glances over at Yoongi, “I’ve never slept that long before.”
Yoongi’s one eye looks at him sympathetically, “I don’t think you had any nightmares either.” He says softly, a smile creeping up on his face.
Taehyung barely has a moment to process this before Namjoon bursts through the door. They stare at him as he pants from running, clutching the side of the door to stay standing up.
“Who died?” Yoongi asks dryly, staring as Namjoon huffs labored breaths as he sinks into a nearby chair.
“Nobody,” Namjoon pants, taking a cup of water from Hobi and downs it in one gulp. “I just got off the phone with my father. Wouldn’t even let me get a word in until my mother took the phone from him. She sends her well wishes to Yoongi-hyung and hopes you make a fast recovery.”
“Send her my love,” Yoongi says with a nod, then glares his one eye at Namjoon. “Why the hell were you running here then? That’s no reason to be running across the house.”
Namjoon blinked at him then smiled widely, his dimples popping out in his cheeks, “I just missed you hyung.”
“You literally saw me this morning,” Yoongi grumbled, but Taehyung could see the pleased smile growing on his face.
Hobi chuckled, “Did mama ask after me, Joonie?”
“Of course, she still expects her Saturday call every week even if we do take over all of Korea.” Namjoon scoffed teasingly, lightly punching Hobi’s side.
Taehyung chuckled as he watched the brothers tease each other, a wistful pang ached in his chest at the easy family bond they had. He looked over at Yoongi who watched the brothers with a fond eye, before turning over to Taehyung.
“Hobi tells me that I have you to thank for getting me and Seokjin out of there,” Yoongi says with a soft smile, reaching over to take Taehyung’s hand into his. “So thank you.”
Taehyung squeezed Yoongi’s hand, “I couldn’t exactly leave you there, who would make my morning tea for me?”
Yoongi’s smile turned wide and gummy as he laughed, “You’re going to have to wait a little while longer, I need two eyes to make your Jasmine brew the way you like.”
“It’ll be worth the wait,” Taehyung whispered and reached a hand to touch delicately at the gauze on Yoongi’s cheek. “Who knows, maybe you’ll get a sexy facial scar out of this.”
Yoongi raised a brow at him, “Body horror kink, noted.”
“If you two are done flirting,” Hobi cut in, smiling wide with his heart shaped mouth at Taehyung and Yoongi’s twin glares. “I really do need Taehyung to come and get started on the computers. We still have that assassin to find.”
Taehyung sighed and rose from his chair, gently pulling his hand out from Yoongi’s and followed Hobi out of the room.
Taehyung spent the next few days within the Voyage House going between hacking into the encrypted computers they took from the Seoul Empire and Yoongi’s hospital room. Though Yoongi staying in the hospital room for more than three days was out of the question.
“It’s just my face that needs to heal! My body is fine! Now let me go back to work Namjoon!” Yoongi had shouted, while throwing one of his many pillows at Namjoon’s face as he yelled for him to get Doctor Wook to release him.
Hobi had taken a video of the scene and would send random gifs of it to Taheyung when he was bored in a meeting. It never failed to send Taehyung into a laughing fit when he saw them.
“What have you done to keep Seokjin in place this time?” Taehyung asked, chuckling as Hobi grumbled into his new office, throwing himself onto a chair next to Taheyung to complain about Seokjin’s daily escape attempt.
“You’d think after the man got kidnapped and has his leg in a full cast, he’d stay still. But nope,” Hobi whined, slouching in his chair. “I’ve changed five different locks on his door, chained him to the bed three times and if I hear the word kinky come out of his mouth one more time I’m going to give him a concussion.”
Taehyung giggled as he typed away on his keyboard, before sliding down to another one. “How many times has he escaped the dungeons now? Thirteen? Twenty?”
“Far too many, I will give him this though. At least I’m learning this damn house like the back of my hand. I’ve found so many new spots to put cameras in, it’s crazy.” Hobi mused, always one to try and find something positive about an awful situation. “How’s things on your end going?”
“I think I’ll have their systems cracked soon, I just need to make sure to avoid the failsafes they have in place. Otherwise we’ll lose everything.” Taehyung said, sliding back to his first screen. “I also got Yoongi-hyung to take his antibiotic this morning.”
“Oh, what did you threaten this time?” Hobi asked, giving Taehyung an impressed look.
“That he’d have to go an extra week without his coffee.” Taehyung stated, smiling at Hobi’s low whistle.
“That’s cold, Tae.” He chuckles as Taehyung hums happily in reply. “How’s the manhunt going?”
Taehyung sighed and glanced over at the facial recognition scanner at the corner of the desk, a picture of a smirking man sits in the corner of the screen. They had found him in the list of files that weren’t encrypted on the Seoul Empire’s computers. Finally they were able to put a face to the man they had been searching for this whole time.
“It still hasn’t found him, I’ve adjusted it I don’t know how many times. I’ve moved it all over Seoul, but it still hasn’t found the bastard.” Taehyung muttered, watching as the scanner flickered over the faces of men on the streets of Seoul.
“We’ll get him though,” Hobi assured him, glaring at the picture of the man. “We have his face. We’ll get him eventually.”
“By the time we do, Peakboy won’t be letting me out of his sight for a long time.” Taehyung muttered with a sigh.
“I wish you didn’t have to go back to him,” Hobi muttered quietly, looking at Taehyung with sad eyes. “I wish you could stay with us, you fit in so well it’s like you’ve always been with us.”
“Thanks for saying that Hobi, it means a lot.” Taehyung says softly, looking over at the man with a small smile. “I wish I didn’t have to leave either.”
Yoongi cleared his throat behind them, breaking the somber air around them as they turned to look at him. The gauze over his right eye was still present, but the paleness of his skin had returned to a healthy color.
“Need something hyungie?” Hobi asks sweetly, but is already standing from his seat as he heads for the door. “You don’t even have to tell me, I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone.”
Yoongi scoffed as Hobi cackled out of the room and he sat down in his vacated seat.
“Has Doctor Wook checked your stitches today?” Taehyung asks, glancing briefly as Yoongi rolls his one eye before fiddling with one of his instruments.
“Yes,” Yoongi grumbled, leaning back in his chair. “He says they’re healing well and that I’ll probably be able to take the gauze off in a few days to let the skin breathe. I’ll still need to be on antibiotics until the stitches can come out and he says I can have my coffee back.”
Taehyung hums doubtfully, “We’ll see.”
Yoongi grumbled under his breath as he crossed his arms over his chest. Taehyung heard something of ‘I’m a grown ass man, I can have my damn coffee’ in his muttering but chose not to comment as he continued to work on the line of code that would eventually gain him access to the encrypted computers. The work was a bit slower than he liked, having only one hand, but he kept his arm in a sling so he wasn't bumping into the table all the time.
If Yoongi could take his antibiotics everyday, then Taehyung could keep his arm in the sling.
“Joon says his men have taken down another one of the outposts in Seoul,” Yoongi says after a moment. “That’s thirteen already and that’s just in the inner city alone, how many more could there be?”
Taehyung shrugged, “When I finally get into this damn computer system of theirs, I’ll be able to find them all. Then we’ll take them out all at once.”
“Do we even have enough men for that?” Yoongi questions incredulously.
“I was thinking we’d send a mass message to them, surrender now or you’ll face the same fate as your other bases.” Taehyung states easily. “Namjoonie-hyung sure does love his bonfires.”
“He says the clean up is easier,” Yoongi scoffs, moving to scratch at his gauze only for his hand to be smacked away by Taehyung. “He’s starting to make a new name for himself in Seoul, calling himself RM. I guess he’ll add that to his list of titles.”
Taehyung hums, “It suits him. It’ll work well when the Bulletproof Company takes the Seoul Empire’s place.”
Yoongi nods, “I never thought we’d end up here. And all because we were looking for an assassin.”
“Funny how somethings just fall into your lap like that,” Taehyung chuckles as Yoongi hums in agreement. They sit in comfortable silence as Taehyung continues to type away on his keyboard and Yoongi leans against his chair with his eye closed.
“How did Joon and Hobi end up following you to that house? I don’t think I asked that.” Yoongi drawls after a moment.
“I had a tracker in my shoes,” Taehyung admits with a chuckle. “They never remove the shoes when they pat someone down in the Hwarang Boys. I figured it would be a safe bet for them not to either, it paid off.”
Yoongi hummed in interest, “I’ll have to add that as a protocol then, that’s useful to know.”
“I don't think most people will think like I do, there’s not much you can hide inside your shoes.” Taehyung tries to dismiss.
“It only takes one bastard to do it to us and we’ll end up just like the Seoul Empire. We need to be smarter than them.” Yoongi says gruffly, kicking Taehyung’s shin lightly. “Don’t dismiss good ideas like that, it could save us a lot of trouble in the future.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, hyung.” Taehyung promises, smiling widely at Yoongi as he kicks back at Yoongi’s shin playfully.
A beeping cuts off any remark Yoongi was about to make, the pair glance over to see the facial recognition scanner blinking green as it tracks a man through a crowded street. Taehyung slides over to it and quickly focuses some cameras in the area. As soon as he has a precise location he sends it to Namjoon.
“He’s sending Hobi to bring him here,” he whispers to Yoongi before refocusing on the coding screens again.
“Taehyung,” Yoongi says softly, placing a hand to stop Taehyung’s frantic fingers on the keyboard.
Taehyung takes a shaky breath as he pulls away from the desk, Yoongi’s hand clutching his. “I don’t want to go back, hyung. I don’t want to go back to him.”
“You have no idea how much I wish I could ask you to stay, but our hands are tied on this.” Yoongi whispers, squeezing Taehyung’s shaking fingers.
Taehyung nods as his head hangs, staring down at their connected fingers as the tears threaten to wreck through his shoulders. Yoongi tugs him forward to have Taehyung lean against his chest, his arms going around his shoulders. Taehyung wraps his arm around Yoongi’s waist.
In Yoongi’s arms, Taehyung allows himself to cry quietly until the tears stop falling and the lonely ache in his chest grows.
Cuddles?
under the cut due to length (1082 words)
Namjoon P.O.V
I hear a knock on the bedroom door and get up to answer it. Taehyung stands in the doorway, he’s hugging a pillow, and I can tell by the look on his face that he wants cuddles.
“Can I sit with you, hyung?” He asks softly
“Aw, sorry Taehyung-ah. I would but I really have to focus on what I’m doing right now, maybe go ask Jin-hyung, okay.”
His face falls a bit at my words and I feel guilty, but I really do have to focus.
 “Okay, good luck on your work, hyung.” He says shutting the door quietly behind him.
Seokjin’s P.O.V
As I’m chopping the carrots I hear light footsteps behind me. When I turn, Taehyung leans sleepily against the counter. It’s cute.
“What are you making?” He says, leaning closer to me, curiously.
“Kimbap with pork and spicy Tuna, and eggs on the side.”
He doesn’t say anything else, instead stepping closer wrapping his arms around my shoulders. Ah, I see. He must want to snuggle.
“I can’t snuggle right now Tae, come back after I finish lunch okay.” He nods, but I can tell that he’s tired, “Hoseok is probably free right now. I’m sure he would snuggle with you.
He just nods again.
Hoseok’s P.O.V
When I’m finally done folding clothes, I start with the sheets and towels.
As I pick up the first sheet I hear the floor creak. “Ah, I’m almost done hyung, I’ll help with lunch in a few minutes.”
Jin doesn’t answer. I turn.
“Oh, I’m sorry Tahyung-ah, I thought you were Jin. What can I help you with?”
He offers no answer but flops down in the pile of warm laundry. I notice his eyes droop a bit. Our sweet sleepy little taetae.
“M’ tired hyungie.” he mumbles into the fabric.
The words surprise me. “Oh, did you not sleep well?”
He mumbles something I understand to be: “No, maybe, I don’t know.”
“Well, are you feeling alright?”
“I’m tired.” he repeats softly
“Aww, I’m sure Yoongi would take a nap with you.”
Yoongi’s P.O.V
I look up from my laptop when the door opens. It’s the second youngest maknae, carrying a pillow. He doesn’t say anything, just shuffles over to where I’m sitting on the bed and crawls in.
I’m not surprised by his rudeness and touchyness necessarily but something feels off.
“Taehyungie? Is something wrong?”
“Cuddles?” Is all he says, his eyes innocent as if mimicking Jungkook's doe eyes but with their own charm.
“Of course.”
After I put my laptop away I lay down next to the maknae.
“You should be careful not to overheat with the blanket and the hoodie you’re wearing.”
He doesn't argue, just snuggles closer.
And then I feel how warm he is. This isn’t normal.
“Aish!” I try to calm myself so I don’t freak the boy out. I take a breath. “Taehyung-ah, Can you sit up and take your hoodie off for me, and the blanket too. I think you might be overheating a bit. I don’t want you to feel bad.”
He looks confused and slightly upset. I help him remove the warm layers until he’s in only his tee-shirt and loose trousers. I feel his forehead with my hand again, he’s still warm. But that just may be from overheating.
“Hmm, Tae, Why don’t you try to sleep again okay.”
He nods and after I take off the duvet and put on the ceiling fan, he falls back asleep. I watch him closely as I work. After 15 minutes I gently feel his forehead again. He’s had plenty of time to cool down but he’s still warm. I sigh and shake him awake gently.
“Huh?” His voice is thick with sleep and confusion.
“How do you feel?”
“Tired, m’ head started hurting.”
“Mnn.” I nod, “I think you may have caught a fever.”
When I bring the thermometer from the bathroom, Tae is asleep again. Poor thing he must really feel bad.
He senses my presence and wakes up, allowing me to hold the device in his ear long enough to measure his temperature. It beeps and he snuggles back into the pillow, not quite asleep. I read the number and feel myself frowning. 38.5. Not so dangerous but not great, no wonder he has a headache.
“Don’t sleep yet TaeTae. You’re running a temperature, you need to take medicine.”
He groans.
“I’ll go tell Jin-hyung to make something light for you so you don’t take the pills on an empty stomach.”
When I tell the other’s of Taehyung’s ailment they’re upset but not too surprised.
“That must be why he was so tired this morning.” Namjoon thinks aloud. We all nod.
“He doesn't feel awful, just sluggish.” I explain.
“I can’t believe we didn’t notice sooner, it seems like he came to all of us. What if something had happened?” Hobi distresses.
“It’s okay, nothing happened, because one of us always notices. And if we didn't, Kook definitely would have.”
“I’ll make him some broth and cut some fruit.” Jin offers before I even have to ask.
I return to Tae to find him sleeping, not shocking given his condition, and set down a glass of water for him to have when we have to wake him up to eat and take medicine.
“Yoongi?” he whispers my name just barely awake
I don’t answer, but I remove the pillow he’s hugging and lay down beside him, knowing he prefers human contact. He snuggles into me tighter and I dim my laptop screen so I can work without bothering him.
He’ll need to take medicine soon but the broth shouldn’t take too long, for now, he can sleep.
(A/N: Sorry if this isn’t good, I’m in pain because I had some work done on my teeth and now my entire face hurts (T - T). I’ve also been hella busy (with work and writing for Bungou Stray Dogs, a fandom I've been in for a while but only just started writing for). I’ve been wanting to fill these prompts ever since I found this blog and I know I haven’t written in ages so I felt bad and wanted to post something so here you go. I have lots of free time in the coming days so I’ll probably post more to make up for my absence.)
Category: Sickfic
Sickie: Taehyung
Caretakers: Seokjin, Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok
Prompt: Taehyung isn’t feeling great, but the other members don’t realize at first. All they know is that Taehyung looks super tired, and he’s being super clingy– even using his puppy eyes to try to get some cuddles– but they’re all a bit busy. He eventually finds someone to literally cling to, and that’s when his hyungs feel how hot he is and realize he’s running a fever.
Okay but Yoongi saying ‘Seokjin Hyungie’ hurts like a mf because Seokjin is his only Hyung in Bangtan and this is too soft. 🥺💜
Part 1. I suggest reading it to understand this story
(It was easy to write in the beginning but the end got hard. Hopefully it turned out well)
Jimin has gotten violently attacked by an anti, leaving him physically and mentally broken. If you aren't okay with psychological stories, turn back now.
Yoongi was up late, working on the ending of his latest song. He tried to sleep twice already, but he couldn't fall asleep. Not with everything that happened that day. I wonder if the others managed to sleep.. I want Namjoonie to look over the changes I made to it..
"I'm sorry.." Jimin whimpers in his sleep, making Yoongi rush into his room, forgetting completely about work.
"Jimin-ah..Jimin-ah, I'm here.." Yoongi takes a seat on the bed.
Jimin didn't respond to him, still trapped in his nightmare.
"No, Jinnie-hyung.. don't leave, I'm sorry.." Jimin clings to Jin's arm.
"There's not much point. I'm just a visual.. You do all the high parts, and if I do the lower parts, then what will that leave Taehyung? No. It's okay. I'll go solo.." Jin pulls away.
"Hyung, please don't go." Jungkook's lip quivers as tears flow down his cheeks. "You can have some of my parts. I don't mind.. just please stay..?"
Jimin tried to offer his parts, but no voice came out. All he could do was watch his members cry as Jin continued to grow farther away.
"Jimin-ah!" Yoongi shakes him awake.
Jimin's eyes fly open, fighting to catch his breath. His body was covered in a cold sweat, his heart pounding wildly against his chest.
"Jiminie, it's okay. It was just a dream.." Yoongi speaks in a soft, soothing tone, wiping the sweat from Jimin's brow.
"Hyung...?" Jimin blinks, trying to process reality again. He was in his room, not Jin's and it was only him and Yoongi in the room. "I..i..I'm sorry..d..did I w..wa..wake you?"
"No, I was already up. Don't worry about that. Do you want to talk about it?" Yoongi asks gently.
Jimin shakes his head. "I..I..want Seokjinnie-hyung.."
"Seokjinnie hyung? But I'm..ah...I'll go get him.." Yoongi quickly back peddled when he heard a sob escape from Jimin. "Wait here, I'll only be a minute. Close your eyes, I'm going to turn on a light."
Jimin covers his face as Yoongi turns on the light, letting his eyes adjust slowly to the new lignt source. Yoongi felt his heart tighten and his stomach drop when he sees Jimin's distraught face.
"I'll be back.." Yoongi promises, leaving the bedroom, urgently knocking on Jin's door. "Hyungie..Hyungie, can I come in? It's an emergency.."
"Yoongi...?" Seokjin's voice was raspy from sleep. Yoongi took his reply as permission to enter the room. "What's wrong?" He blinks sleepily, trying to adjust his eyes to the darkness.
"Hyung Jimin needs you.. I think he had a bad dream about you.. he doesn't want me, and he's crying." Yoongi informs Jin, instantly waking him up.
"Jiminah is crying?" He quickly gets up, sprinting to Jimin's room. "Honey, I'm here, don't cry.." Jin gently climbs onto the bed, gasping in surprise when Jimin wraps around his waist, burying his face in Jin's broad shoulder.
"Do' le..le.ave H.hyung.." Jimin sobs incoherently.
"Leave? Baby, I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay here as long as you need me to." Jin gently rubs his hand across Jimin's back. "You're burning up.."
"Don..Don't le..leave..I'm sorr..sorry.." Jimin says with hiccupy gasps, soaking Jin's shirt. "Im..I'm sorr..sorry.." His whole body shakes as he sobs, clinging to Jin as if his life depended on it.
"What are you sorry for, Minnie? You haven't done anything wrong..please just try to take a deep breath, i can't understand you.." Jin forces Jimin to sit up to make it easier to breathe, rubbing his hand up and down Jimin's arm.
Jimin tries to obey, but he couldn't stop the tears from streaming, coughing violently. "Hurts.."
"Jiminie I know, I know baby, you gotta calm down.. please.." Jin rubs Jimin's shoulders, kissing the top of his head. "You poor thing.."
"Hyung, is there anything I can do to help?" Yoongi says from the doorway, watching helplessly.
"I'm not going anywhere, i promise.. don't cry.. you're breaking my heart.."Jin tried to use sweet words to console Jimin, but nothing was getting through to him. "Could you get me some water and some fever reducers? He's going to dehydrate.." Jin sends Yoongi off, softly humming to Jimin since his words weren't getting through to him.
Jimin sniffles, slowly calming down, taking deep, shaky breaths, whimpering through the pain. "Mnnn..Hyung..I don't feel well.."
"I know, sweetie.." Jin coos, wiping the tears from Jimin's cheeks with the back of his thumb. "Good, good.. deep breaths.. that's it.."
"I'm sorry.." Jimin sniffles. "I..I'm good now.."
"Here, drink some water, Jimin.." Yoongi sits on the other side of Jimin, careful not to bump into Jimin's injuries. He opens the water bottle, pressing it by his lips.
Jimin drinks eagerly, trying to soothe his sore throat. "Thanks, Hyungie.."
"No problem.. do you think you can take some medicine for me?" Yoongi asks,tucking a strand of wet hair behind Jimin's ear.
"Okay.." Jimin leans back against his eldest hyung, still struggling to catch his breath.
Yoongi shakes out a pill, popping it into Jimin's mouth, giving him another sip of water to help him swallow it down.
"HyU.."Jimin's voice cracks when he tries to speak, clearing it to try again. "Hyungie..?"
"What is it baby?" Jin asks gently.
"Are you happy..?" Jimin asks in a small voice.
"Huh? Happy?" Jin blinks slowly, perplexed by his sudden question. "Why would I be happy when my baby brother is suffering?"
"No..no..i..mean..like..with how things are..as..mm..Nevermind.." Jimin buries his face in Jin's shoulder.
"As what Jiminie?" Jin tries to pry answers out of the vocalist, but Jimin stays silent. "I'm happy to be here with you..I'd do anything for you and the other members.. we're family.." he tried guessing what his problem was, but misses the mark.
I know hyung.. Even if that means living in my shadow..
"Jimin-Ah, look at me.." Jin takes Jimin's chin gently, ignoring the feeling of his stomach fluttering when he sees Jimin's injured face. "I'm happy with you and the others. Okay? I'm not going anywhere."
Jimin nods, hugging onto Jin. I'll do better to give you and Taehyungie more time in the spotlight..
"Good..now try to get some sleep.. okay? I'll stay right here all night." Jin slowly gets into a laying position.
"I will too..if you want.." Yoongi feels blood rush to his cheeks, embarrassment washing over. He didn't want to leave Jimin, even though he knew Jin could handle it without him. He wouldn't be able to get a wink of sleep worrying on if Jimin was alright in the other room.
"Thanks, Hyungie.. I'd like that.." Jimin manages the smallest of smile.
"Jimin-ah...Jiminie, I have to go.. please get off.." Yoongi woke up to Jimin laying on his chest, his injured hand resting on his shoulder his wrapped leg thrown over him. He didn't know how he'd get free without hurting him. "Hyung I need help, stop taking photos." Yoongi whines.
Jimin was completely knocked out, the mixture of his fever, pain, and mental breakdown, leaving him completely drained.
"I'm sorry, it's just rare to find you cuddling with the other members. I got photos before you woke up." Jin smiles when Yoongi rolls his eyes at him.
"You're getting as bad as Hoba.. just help me move him.." Yoongi whines softly.
Jin puts his phone away, gently taking Jimin's arm by the elbow and straightening against his side. That was easy. Moving his leg was another story. Jimin whimpers in his sleep as Jin lifts his leg, trying to gently move him onto his back without hurting him.
"Do you need help?" Namjoon asks from the door frame.
"Yeah, I need to get him off Yoongi, but be very careful. I need you to make sure his arm doesn't move while I roll him off." Jin tells Namjoon earning himself a pout.
"I can be careful." Namjoon helps Jin move Jimin safely. "How did you even end up like this?"
"I don't know, he was cuddled up to Hyung before I fell asleep, but sometime last night, he switched over to me." Yoongi quickly moves off the bed, wincing at his numb leg from Jimin's dead weight. "Ahugh...my legs asleep.."
"You'll be okay.." Jin smiles.
"How's Jiminie?" Taehyung asks, still looking half asleep, J-hope following behind him, trying to tame his wild bed head.
"Did you both sleep in here last night?" J-Hope adds in.
"He's running a fever now, but at least he's asleep.." Yoongi sighs, looking at Jimin asleep on the bed. "I really don't want to leave him.."
"I know, I don't either, but we have no choice.." Namjoon felt Yoongi's pain. Seeing Jimin breathing heavily on the bed made his heart ache. "But we'll leave to go home the second we can. Alright? We have to be professional. We've worked with missing members before."
"Where's Jungkook?" Jin asks, noticing the youngest missing.
"He's with staff, talking their ear off about Jimin's likes and dislikes with food last I saw him." J-Hope is the one to answer.
"I'll join him and explain what happened last night." Jin leaves the room, finding the two staff members assigned to watch over Jimin while they went the award show, bowing deeply. "Thank you for doing this.."
"It's not a problem." Jeong bows back to Jin. "After finding him like that, I wanted to be sure he was okay anyway.."
The boys rush around to get ready, Yoongi doing a head count. "Where's Taehyungie and Namjoon-ah? We need to get going. The van is waiting for us.." Yoongi tries to gather the members.
"Jiminie is in good hands, and I'm sure they'll call if there's any change.." Yoongi hears Jungkook's voice in the doorway to Jimins room.
"What are they doing in there? They'll wake him up." Yoongi goes to scold them, but Jin stops him.
"I'll go gather them..You go to the van."Jin goes into the room, pushing Jungkook out towards the door. "Go on. Go keep Yoongi company in the car."
Taehyung was on the bed with Jimin, Namjoon standing on the other side, giving Jimin fever medicine. "I thought he was asleep.."
"He had another bad dream.." Taehyung informs Jin lightly, holding Jimin to his chest. "I wish I didn't have to go.. I'd stay here and watch movies with you." He pouts, pushing a strand of hair behind Jimin's ear.
"I know. I know. It's okay. You can't disappoint army.. I'm okay.. i don't even remember the dream.." He turns to Namjoon, accepting the medicine with a hard swallow.
"Here, drink some water." Namjoon opens a waterbottle holding it by Jimin's lips.
"Come on, kids, it's time to go. He'll be in good hands..." Jin pulls Namjoon by the back of his shirt, going to the other side of the bed to gather Taehyung, pulling him by the arm.
"I'll be back as soon as I can Jimin-ah! Text me if you get lonely!" Taehyung promises Jimin as he's forced out of the room.
Jimin watches his members leave, waving goodbye with a fake smile. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm probably going to be asleep most of the time.. I'm still tired.."
None of the members believed him, but they had no choice but to go. Taehyung could still hear his heart racing when he was getting off the bed.
Jimin drops his tough guy act as soon as they are out of earshot, his breath hitching, getting caught in his throat. I hope I didn't mess up their concentration.. I already messed up the formation..
Jimin curls up on his side, hearing his phone ding with several messages.
Hwaiting Jiminie.
Already miss you
Try to eat a little while we're gone.
Jimin flips his phone over, their encouraging words and worry only making him feel worse.
I don't deserve their kind words.. not when I've been holding them back..
"Jimin-sii? Are you awake? I heard you coughing..."
Jimin hardly hears the whisper of staff in the doorway of his room. They've been extremely attentive since the other members left, watching movies and playing games with him until he fell asleep.
When did I fall asleep? What time is it?
"I'm awake.." Jimin answers groggily, checking his phone for the time. "The show. We'll be performing... They'll be on soon. Can we watch it?"
"You want to see the show?" Jeong asks, unsure on if he should allow it, but seeing Jimin's eyes showing a little bit of life for the first time all day made him give in. "If you think you're up for it, you must eat, though.."
"I'll eat while we watch.. I'll be fine.. i can't remember the last time I just watched the others perform.." Jimin wanted to be sure his absence wouldn't ruin the show,moving to get up to go to the living room.
"Please be careful.." Jeong quickly rushed to Jimin's side to support his weight. "Slowly.."
"I know.. I know.." Jimin hardly puts any weight on his injured ankle. "Thank you.." he takes a seat on the couch, setting the TV to the correct channel.
"It's still Exo.. good.. I didn't miss any.. when did Kai dye his hair silver? It looks great on him.." Jimin watches them perform, frowning when he notices he slept through most of the performance.
"Here Jimin-sii, I made you some Bibimbap.." The second guard places a tray in front of Jimin, having false hope to see Jimin acting like himself again. That's all it was. An act.
"Thank you.." Jimin bows, taking a bite. "It's good.." He gets a few more bites in while the lights are off for his members to prepare, J-hope appearing on screen for his solo dance. "He looks so cool..."
Everything was fine until his solo dance started, him seeing Taehyung in his place. "Oh wow.. How is he doing so well with such little practice..Did he just memorize it by watching me?"
He's so talented, but it's always me, Jungkook, and Hobi-hyung that get the longer dance breaks.. I can hardly believe that's the same boy that was just hugging me tightly earlier.. I can see why the next generation looks up to him..
Jimin watches Taehyung moving on stage, being reminded that there was a difference between his Tete and V the kpop idol.
"Don't worry, you'll heal up quickly.. you're still young. You'll be back on stage again." Jeong misread the look on Jimin's face, mistaking his guilt for longing.
"Yeah.." Jimin says, pretending to be distracted by the performance. The boys left Jimin's spot open throughout the whole performance, reminding him how often he gets center, his own self-loathing, making it seem like much more than it really was.
"Maybe we should turn it off and watch something else." Staff suggests, but Jimin keeps his hand firmly on the remote. "No, no, it's almost over.. I want to finish it.."
"Everyone together.. Get well soon Jimin-ah!" Taehyung's voice surprises Jimin, tears swelling up when he hears hundreds of voices screaming after him, including all his members.
"I can't believe he has the courage to yell like that in the middle of a performance.." Jimin smiles through the tears, seeing the Taehyung he grew up with, a boxy smile on his face as he makes a heart clearly meant for him.
"It wouldn't be the first time." Jeong gives Jimin a tissue.
"Thank you.." Jimin dabs his eyes, turning off the TV. "I'm still not feeling well.. I want to lay down a bit more.."
"Of course.. do you just want to lay on the couch or should we get you to bed?"
"I'm fine here..." Jimin slides down on the couch, Jeong gently pulling his injured ankle into his lap to give it some elevation.
There's no winning.. If I go, Taehyung will lose his smile.. they all will.. but if I stay, they won't be able to grow..
Jimin did you see the performance?
J-hope texts as soon as they get off stage into the green room.
Yeah, I saw it. Taehyungie did my part better than I did in all the practices. He should've gotten it in the first place..
Jimin replies, surprised by the flurry of responses he got back.
What? No, I was so nervous I moved too quickly. Luckily, since we never did it live before the audience won't know..
Taehyung replies.
He almost backed out of it because he was scared. I had to drag him from the bathroom.
It was Yoongi who replied next.
I felt sick to my stomach.. I didn't want to mess up Jiminie's part.. I'm glad you think I did well. It makes me happy.
Taehyung answers.
You wouldn't have been so nervous if you had more solos. I'm sorry, Tae. It's my fault..
Jimin wanted to tell him everything, but he couldn't risk making him cry. Not when there was a chance of them winning the award.
Jimin, what are you talking about? I think you should try to sleep more. Oh! Before you go. Check the socials. They'll help you cheer up.
Taehyung texts.
Socials?
Jimin gets on Twitter, the hashtags filled with things like #GetWellSoonJimin, #WeLoveYouJimin, and #WeMissYouMochi along with praise about BTS' performance.
They miss you already, Jiminie and so do we. It's not the same without you.
Jin texts.
Then I'll have to stay, but I want to stay out of the center for a bit.
Jimin texts, feeling guilty for even considering leaving. I'll have to work harder to share the spotlight. I can't leave my brothers, and I don't think they'd even let me..
Don't worry about that man. We'll keep you safe. Just like when you got threats before. We'll talk more when we get home, okay? No more secrets. Sleep for now..
With one last text from Yoongi, Jimin puts his phone away. We can work this out. We were able to get Taehyung recognized as being a part of the dance line,I just need to get Jin the main vocalist role instead of me..
Ideas swam in his head to try to put himself in the shadows, making him feel dizzy.
"Jimin-sii, I think you should put your phone away.. you aren't looking well.. I think you've had enough excitement for today.." Jeong suggests lightly, holding out his hand to take it.
Jimin hands it over, used to giving his phone to staff, throwing his arm over his face, falling into a dreamless sleep
Later that evening, the members return all piling into their home. His heart ached to see their happy faces, knowing what was about to come. He couldn't keep hiding it.
"We did a clean sweep, Jimin-hyung!" Jungkook proudly shows Jimin the trophies when he sees him slowly sitting up on the couch. "Did you see?"
"No, I went to sleep after the performance. I'm feeling a lot better now though" Jimin answers with a smile, not wanting to ruin his good mood.
"You look like you gained some color back." Namjoon reaches to touch Jimin's forehead. "They did well taking care of you."
"So what was this talk about 'you'll stay then?' " Jungkook asks with concern. It was all he could think about since he saw the message.
This doesn't involve him.. He's the lead vocalist... "Oh, i typed wrong..i was still pretty feverish then.. i meant stay like...resting and taking it easy on the sidelines until i recovered more.." jimin says casually. He had plenty of time to think of an excuse.
"That's all? What a relief.." Jungkook smiles. "So what-"Jimin's stomach growling stops Jungkook mid sentence. "Did you eat?"
"I tried to, but my stomach was upset earlier..hey Jungkook I know you just got back, but could you make me those noodles you made me last time?"
"Huh? Sure. Whatever you want, hyung." The Mankae runs to the kitchen.
"Alright Jimin, what was that last text about for real? That story might work on Jungkook, but i know thats bullsh*t" Yoongi sits on the bed next to him, getting right to the point.
"Yeah Jiminie, something has been bothering you.. I know it.." Taehyung sits on the other side.
"Are you afraid to go back in public?" Jin tries to guess when Jimin stays silent.
"No, no..it's about..about what that man said, I know..I know I can't leave.. this is my home.. we belong together.. but he made me realize.. Jinnie Hyung.. you and Taehyungie sing much better than I can, I should be a sub vocalist not you guys.."
"What? Is that what this is about? Jiminah, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.." Jin knew exactly how he felt about not being good enough. He had no prior singing or dancing experience before joining and always felt like he wasn't good enough compared to the others.
Honestly, some days, he still felt that way.
"We chose roles as a group. You were chosen for your talent. I saw it the moment I heard you sing.. you've improved so much since then.. you deserve where you are." Yoongi explains to Jimin, looking at the others to back him up.
"Jiminie, you're my best friend, I'm happy where I am.. sure, in the beginning, I wished I had more lines, but I'm perfectly content with just backing you and the others up. I'm happy with just performing all together." Taehyung cuddles into Jimin's cheek. "Don't worry about me, okay? I'll tell you if I'm ever unhappy. "
"I feel the same, I don't care how many parts I have as long as we can sing together." Jin reassures him.
"Don't let one person get to you. You were destined to be where you are now. Don't let anyone tell you any different, but if it really bothers you that much, we can keep it in mind for the future, okay?" Namjoon wipes Jimin's tears.
Jimin nods, unable to get the tears to stop flowing. He had been worried for nothing. "Thank you.."
"I love you, Jiminie. We all do. Don't forget that.." Namjoon tells him. "We'll figure this out together."
(Sorry about the ending. I redid it five times and I didn't like any of them. This open ended one is the best without it seeming too forced)
