Sometimes (often), at the sanctuary a senior will come a long and touch your heart forever. That was the case with Alfredo Fettuccine. He lived at the sanctuary for a little over a year before he passed. He was my shadow and my heart dog. He passed this Summer but we will forever be touched by him like so many of our seniors. We truly do love all of them and bond with each one. They all enter into our hearts. Alfie will always be remembered 💗 There is great love here but unfortunately that comes with grief. We received Alfredo's memorial piece back today! I have been waiting, hoping it turned out so I could share. The trees were such a disaster from Pet Pod Memorials for Buddy and Hobson. I wanted to make certain Alfies was perfect. Alfie was my very special buddy, he passed away unexpectedly in August. My little spirit Bichon! We were blessed with his little soul for a year and he will touch my life forever. Each senior that passes we choose a memorial that represents them. This one spoke to me as Alfie. He loved rainbows and everything purple. Alfie had a heart of gold! Today, this sweet little lambie has his sanctuversary!! I don't think that's a word but it is now! Alfredo Fettuccine has been with us for a full year! I had no idea how much I would love this little peanut or that he would be my forever sidekick! Alfie has many funny mannerisms and just wants to be next to you no matter what! He is a 14 year old Bichon and came to us when his eldery Mama went into nursing care. Alfie has found love again and I am never allowed to be without him! Murphy and Alfredo have alleriges, our weather is making them worse. Yesterday Molly gave them their Cytopoint injections. 💉💉 It is costly but amazingly takes away all their itching.
