Video Game Idea: Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Heroes Return

Hey! Marvel vs. Capcom is popular again! And it's all thanks to the recent account of Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection, a compilation pack of all the arcade MvC games and Marvel arcade games Capcom produced that's being released later this year.

This has gotten many people excited for three reasons...

This is the first time we've heard anything new about the Marvel vs. Capcom series in almost a decade!

This is the first time the games have been complied together

This possibly means that the Marvel vs. Capcom may actually be returning for a new installment in the near future

And this led many people to speculate and give ideas on what a Marvel vs. Capcom 4 would be like.

And since I like coming up with game ideas, I figured I'd hop on the train.

So sit back, relax, and join me while I take you on a train through my idea for the game....

Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Heroes Return!

(This is gonna be a short one, so bare with me)

Gameplay-wise, Heroes Return would essentially follow the same mechanics as Fate of Two Worlds, from the combat system to even bringing back being able to switch between three characters.

The new gameplay addition would the modified Team Combos.

Here, either two or three of your team can perform a Hyper Combo.

And it would be accompanied by actual names for the Combos, and a cool ass cinematic!

For the look of this game, it would bring back the cel-shaded look of Fate of Two Worlds, but obviously a little more polished with the advanced technology of today’s consoles.

Now we come to undoubtedly the most important part of the game: the roster.

Heroes Return would feature the biggest roster seen in the series by far, with a total of 100 characters (with there being 50 characters evenly for both brands).

And those 50 characters on both sides would be split evenly into two groups: Heroes and Villains.

Let’s start off with Capcom, since they deserve to go first after the bullshit they went through with the last game.

And finally, this game would actually have a Story Mode! Being the first in the franchise to do so.

The first of actual worth....

Anyway, the story is pretty simple. It's essentially like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, except with Capcom thrown into the mix.

Essentially, an alliance between various Capcom and Marvel villains have been formed, led by M. Bison and Doctor Doom, who plan on using their combined skills and abilities to conquer the world and further their respective goals.

Luckily, this manages to catch the attention of Dr. Light and Nick Fury, who decide to retaliate by forming their own alliance of heroes to fight against them.

Once again, really simple story, but what will really make it engaging are the world-building and characters iterations.

The world of Marvel vs. Capcom has always been interesting to think about, since it appears to be a world where the Marvel and Capcom characters co-exists with each other.

But we've never really been given an in-depth look on what the world is like or how it works.

From what it seems like, the two brands have always shared this world.

And if that's the case, it would be cool to see how the corners of Marvel and Capcom connect to each other.

Or maybe this could like Battleworld from the Secret Wars event, where their world is the result of the Capcom worlds and the Marvel Universe being merged into one huge world!

As for the characters iterations, I can see so many between the Marvel and Capcom characters.

Some of the ones I can think of the top of my head include....

-Cyclops and Ryu being friendly rivals akin to the latter and Ken. Well, before Ken....ya know, fell off.

-Spider-Man and Morrigan being total besties and often throwing quips together while in battle.

-M.O.D.O.K. and Dr. Wily getting into constant arguments and trying to prove whose the better genius.

-Toad constantly simping for Juri, who as you would expect, isn't having any of it.

-Iron Man being a big brother figure to Mega Man.

-Hulk being an absolute dog person around Amaterasu.

-Deadpool constantly hitting on Chun Li, complimenting her thick legs, only to get his ass kicked every time.

-Magneto and Vergil bonding over their "I'm better than you" personalities, usually talking trash about their fellow villains behind their backs.

-Venom being Claire's big buddy and always telling her to...

Well that's all I have for now!

Let me know what you guys think about idea of mine's.

But most of all, let me know what you all think about the roster, since I believe that's the most important part of any Marvel vs. Capcom.

When making it, I wanted to make sure that both sides were perfectly even.

And for the Marvel side of things, I wanted to include faces from all over their universe rather than just utilizing the ones who are the big names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And addition to that, there will be no MCU SYNERGY at all in this game.

Because we all know how much it helped the last game....

“Endless amount of people isn't it, Lord Nobunaga?”

You were in extreme amounts of pain, your eyes flowing with tears.  It was a sight to behold after all, well at least for Misuhide who stood there and watched you suffer. You were on the floor, your legs spread out to make sure you would not be in pain again. But despite the efforts you felt the stinging pain from when you tripped and got yourself into this position. 

When you thought that everything had calmed down a bit, you heard the low chuckle from Mitsuhide, who’s chuckle made chills go down your spine. He was laughing at your pain, and that made your expression display displeasure all over it. “Why are you laughing?” Your voice was shaky due to the tears from your pain, it was hard not to cry after all. 

“What a show you put on, I am enjoying your pain…how sweet your cries sound…” He chuckled, you see this look in his eyes, close to some kind of playfulness. 

You felt your jaw drop at him calling your cries sweet, and your cheeks puff up “w-well that’s just weird, you just…don’t laugh at someone’s pain and think it’s ok!” You tried correcting him, but all you could really hear was his continued laughs.

He lended a hand out to you, and you take it without any question. He pulls you up to where you’re standing up straight again, giving you a second to allow you to rebalance yourself. “Thank you” You spoke quietly, and you felt in no mood to cry due to the aching pain. 

“Honestly you will never understand how satisfying pain looks in my eyes…if you did you would be giggling like a baby. Watching someone struggle really gets me in a good mood~” He chuckled, and whispered into your ear, as if they weren’t alone. 

His eyes had become slits as he laughed, the wrinkles under his eyes became more present, and his smile marks were pushed up. You could just watch those cold eyes staring into yours and feel so targeted. To your credit, he was…non-human in many aspects, it could be as simple as how he talks as if he doesn’t get common sense, how he loves seeing the pain in others eyes. 

Sure, he helped you today, but that didn’t mean that one day he might just take your moment of vulnerability to get a kill, and only for the fun of it. That is, at least how you see him, how he has been soaked in blood from head to toes, or how he speaks of harming others as eating. 

Honestly you didn’t get it, you really didn’t, and you just stared into his eyes for so long that you did know you were spaced out in your thoughts. Like as if you had been staring into a void, and in his perspective you were just staring out into nothingness. He watches in amusement of how you did, but eventually he starts waving a hand in front of your face to get your attention. “Hello~ Earth to [Your Name}~ Wakey Wakey~” He chuckled lightly, it was too amusing.

“Wait huh?” You got back into reality to be met with a sly smile on Mitsuhide’s face, “Oh hello.” You smile a little bit, as if you forgot what happened.

What a weird moment.

A Rainy Horse Ride

|| A Rainy Horse Ride. { Mitsuhide and Reader interaction }

“I doubt there are many that have fought both the one-eyed dragon and his right eye, right?”

        There were not many days where you were offered a horse ride for free. But today, it was different, on a rainy day, where the clouds were dark and the rain dripped as if the sky had lost a baby and it was grieving. You were drenched from the rain, cold and lonely, You weren’t in the war for many reasons, and that was not to be lingered, because in a moments notice, as if god had seen you in the rain, walking without a quick way to get shelter, a horse neighed and galloped it’s way.

The owner, who had been chuckling to himself, had scythes tucked to the side of the horse in a little stash. You stared at the sight, you almost thought it could be a grim reaper, but when you both made eye contact, and got a firm look at eachother…you had a damn assumption that made you fear.

        Mitsuhide Akechi, The feared general of ,The Devil King of The Sixth Heaven, Oda Nobunaga’s army.

        You had every reason under the sun to be scared of a man, how his cold, yet oddly pleased glare stared into your eyes. He stopped his horse, wanting a better look at you, it was like a predator had found its prey and stalked it. That was the look in his eyes, and it scared you, but before you could run, or do anything, he spoke.

        “Do you need a ride?” He asked, his voice has a tinge of playfulness in it, yet it was a genuine offer.

        Did he just want someone to entertain him for the moment, or was this a moment where he wanted to give you some help? You could question his intentions, but it was too kind of an offer to decline. Maybe he took pity seeing your state, your slightly ragged clothes with a dark color due to how wet it was. You reply back, your voice shaky due to the fear “Sure…Sir.” you took the opportunity to step forward to show you were harmless.

        He chuckled, taking his hand and offering it to you “what a little dove…” He uttered to himself, pulling you up and onto the horse.

        “Thank you….”You took your time to get up on the horse, straddling it on the saddle, allowing your legs to rest on the sides.         You had adjusted onto the horse and the saddle comfortably, but you paused, noticing no movement, and he looked over to you, his long white hair flowing down and over his shoulder as he turned his head. “Hold on, don’t be scared, I can see it in your eyes.” he chuckles, looking back forward, and once you were held onto him, he made the horse move.         You did not pay too much attention to that detail, but what you did focus on was his silky white hair, which you had to feel due to being close. It felt like you had your face against satin, and the hair smelled like lavender and blood. For you it was a lot to take in at once, especially with the speed the horse galloped.  Despite the rain, you took a good look at him, and he just looked…drop dead gorgeous somehow. The rumors described his perverted and crazy personality, yet you could see his tired eyes, thin lips and thin eyebrows. For him, it pulled everything together and made him beautiful in his own way. You did hear talk about how a lot of the generals, or many men like Date Masamune, had looked handsome.

In your eyes, you see an odd beauty that no one could describe, and for a second,  even just for a second it made you forget the rain and the horse.  You and him were quiet, even despite how close you both had been quiet, and it was perfect this was, and you would just relax, the rain really settled a mood. But you had a good feeling that both of you wanted to be out of this rain.

Soon you both stopped at an Inn, and he let you off, but before he could leave, you said “Shouldn’t you stay the night too? It is raining hard, I will pay for your room, since you gave me a horse ride of course…” You offered, looking into his eyes, and the rain coated the ground.

He just laughs, which just confuses you a bit, and it just becomes a small chuckle “You amuse me…perhaps.” He tilted his head “But my presence is required elsewhere, so please don’t offer such small things. You do recognize who I am, I have to return to Azuchi, but please, have a good night.” He refused your offer, which was not surprising, but at least you tried.

“You too, have a good night” You wave a little bit, before he is off, heading forwards.         You watched as he disappeared into the rainy night and towards the looming castle of Azuchi, and all you could do is sigh. At least you tried, it was the least you could do.

That was really the weirdest, but oddly sweet encounter huh?

You couldn’t stop thinking about it all damn night.

        The moments were engraved in your mind, and remembering the rumors, you wondered if any were true. You stared at the wood roof, hearing noises from each room as you laid in the warm futon. However you felt chills going across your body, wondering what it would be like if he had stayed longer. Would you die knowing you allowed a man like that to share a room, or would it be quiet like the horse ride?

        You sit up, looking at the tatami mats and its detailing across the floor. Your slipper’s at the door, and the sounds of animals outside. You get up from the comfort of the bed and walk to the back door and let it slide open. Seeing the wondrous night sky, you smile, and just sit down on the walkway for your room, feet swinging back and forth. It was peaceful and relaxing, it really was.

        You wished you had someone to share this moment with, seeing the building of Honnoji from a little ways away, and the mountain on the other side.

        Sighing, all you can do is relax…

A Dragon's Lucky Charm Prequel

This is a prequel to my Sengoku Basara fic. It cover when Masamune and Yume first meet. Enjoy!

* = things in history that I decided to change for the sake of the fic but will be revealed later in the main story.

She was staying at a cute little village for the time being. She worked alongside the farmers to earn her stay. She hadn’t worked a hard day in her life but she was getting used to it. They gave her a small, one-room house, more of a hut, to stay in. And they didn’t ask any questions. For that, she was thankful.

That afternoon, she was working the fields alongside an older woman. This woman and her husband had made sure she was taken care of and settled when she first arrived and she taught her the basics of working in the field. It was so hard but she had to try. She would feel bad if she didn’t help the people of this village after all their kindness.

She stood up and wiped her hands on her yukata, then wiped the sweat away on her forehead. The other woman smiled at her. “We’re almost done, sweetie. You can go and relax until we’re done.”

“What? No, I’d feel bad,” Yume shook her head. “I just need a small break. I’ll be back to working in a-”

She stopped when she heard rumbling approaching. It sounded like a bunch of horses galloping. She looked at the woman, questioning her, but she smiled slightly and went back to work. Soon enough, a couple of horses carrying soldiers dressed in blue ran past the field. Soon after, a whole group of them followed. There was one man that particularly caught Yume’s attention. His black horse was decked out with these strange metal decorations and he rode with his arms crossed over his chest, not using his hands. At his hips were six swords, decorated to look like wings or fins. And on his head was a basic kabuto helmet but adorning the front of it was a large, golden, crescent moon. Granted, the rest of the men had a unique sense of style but his man was clearly the center of attention. As he passed the field he looked over and made quick eye contact with Yume. He smirked and Yume saw that he only had one eye, the other covered by what looked to be a tsuba of a katana. And, hate to sound cliche, but it seemed like time slowed down for Yume until he looked away and kept riding.

So recently I've been coming back to the old aniems I used to obsessed with and ended up having new yumeships in Sengoku Basara. Here is Magoichi Saika from Sengoku Basara and my OC Momochi Sandayu, loosely based on Momochi Sandayu, rhe leader of Iga clan. I did have plans to make him pretty but now he becomes too pretty and honestly... I love it 😳

Bits about him:

A former Iga clan leader who is currently living his (not so) peaceful life in Kii province as an innkeeper who constantly selling information they need with proper price. He is a gentle and kind individual despite having living most of his life as a Shinobi. Though he was strictly told to not have compassion and living his life as proper shinobi, Sandayu continues to live his life as he is, kind, gentle, compassionate, and wise though he can be ruthless when the situation demands him to.

He was often thought not fitting as the leader of Iga clan which puts him into so much pressure, constant abuse by the elders, and it caused him to slowly become numb and downplaying his own feelings because how used he is to be told that his feelings aren’t matter.

He was a childhood friend with Magoichi Saika and Motochika Chosokabe. They met when Sandayu’s father (who is friends with Magoichi’s master). Visited the Saika clan. Sandayu often says that the time he spent with both of them are the times when he truly felt happy.

His clan was eradicated by Oda Nobunaga during Tensho Iga War and it was said he was killed by Kashin Koji (another OC of mine). But he survived albeit losing his arms. He was given prosthetic arms which he would use as weapons later.

His Giga Basara Art is Kamaitachi. His prosthetic arms are inspired from Sekiro

Mitsuhide's Estate

You arrived at Mitsuhide's Estate for a quick visit to him. Wanting to convince him not to betray Nobunaga yet due to concerns of him dying. Mitsuhide was adorned in a pale purple kimono, one with floral decorations.

As you went inside, Mitsuhide closed the sliding door behind him and headed to his table, sitting down.

You sat in front of him and criss crossed your legs. Looking over to his papers, you ask a question. “What have you been writing about?” You lean over, looking at the papers, curious.

“letters, I am writing letters. You are quite the nosy one aren't you?” He spoke, his slender hand taking your chin and making you look at him.

“No…I was just curious, but I wanted to talk to you, to give some advice. I don't think it is a good idea to betray nobunaga yet…” You lend that over, getting his attention quickly.

“ Think about it, we are in the middle of a war, I don't want you getting hurt.” After giving your opinion he laughs, making you raise an eyebrow.

“You know, I have been hungry for a lot of things. For this victory, for those survivors that are full of hate. Hungry for letting that man have his final day and learn a lesson. But I am also hungry for something else as well…” He lets go of your chin and instead grabs your hand and pulls you close.

“I am hungry for you, if I am going to die I need to make you know you're mine.” He smiled while speaking, passion in his voice as he spoke.

Your face flushed as he admitted that he was hungry for you. And you knew he wasn't talking about eating your flesh, or eating you alive…

“How about you be good and get onto this table for me.” He demanded of you, and you reluctantly got onto the table.

Mitsuhide took your kimono robe and undid it. Allowing it to fall off your body and onto the table. He then pulled off what covered your vagina, and began to eat you out.

Because I’ve got a very series case of Honeyworks Disease (instead of a brain, I have Honeyworks songs looping in my head 24/7), this one ended up being my favorite entry, and thus demands that I post it on Tumblr, to once again be a nuisance

I do not think this needs to be said, but do no pick up stray cats carelessly, no matter how friendly they are

The Cat sighed, watching The Boy. He looked behind him, almost as if he was in a daze. He wasn’t fully sure of what he was looking for, as all memory of her had been erased from his memory.

From everyone’s memory. That was the terms of the agreement The Cat made with The Sun and The Moon.

The Moon granted her the ability to speak, and The Sun gave her a human body. For one month, The Cat would be able to stand by The Boy’s side as a classmate, and find a way to properly thank him for the kindness he showed her that day. But when the hourglass had run its course, or if her secret was ever spilled, she would revert back to her natural form, and all traces of her existence during that brief time would be forgotten. Including the budding blossoms of love that tickled their hearts.

“You can go to him, you know.” The Moon whispered, a gentle hand running down her back. The Cat looked over at The Sun from her position on The Moon’s lap, who smiled in return.

“That’s right.” The Sun had more to say, but The Cat didn’t stick around to listen. Her heart raced as she leaped down from their perch on the rooftop, running to catch up with The Boy.

Even if she couldn’t be with him in the way she wanted to, The Cat still wanted to be near The Boy. There are other ways to show how much you love someone, after all.

It didn’t take long for The Cat to reach The Boy. She gave a gentle meow, causing him to stop in his tracks. The Boy turned around, and smiled when he saw her.

He was happy to see her.

“I haven’t seen you in a while, have I?” The Boy knelt down and The Cat nuzzled her head into his outstretched hand. She meowed again, licking the back of his hand and purring. The Boy laughed.

The Cat stood on her hind legs, leaning on his bent knee, and meowed again. The Boy kept petting her, running a gentle hand from the back of her head down the length of her spine. Without much of a second thought, The Boy picked up The Cat, and continued walking home.

The Cat rested her forelegs over his shoulder, gently kneading her paws into the fabric of his uniform’s jacket while happily purring. It wasn’t exactly the Fairytale Happy Ending she had dreamed of, but Cinderella’s companions had never been feline in the first place.

The Sun and The Moon watched quietly in the treetops, smiling at one another before fading away.

A job well done.
