Or at least who Timmy would have been, had he never gotten Fairy Godparents.

By compiling all the Unwishes a Godchild makes, a Fairy can create a near perfect duplicate- as Unwishes contains memories of the child.

However, if there's not enough magic in them, then the Changeling may not be accurate. Once someone discovers that the Changeling is not their person, it vanishes and the child will be brought back home.

There hasn't been a changeling in 1,000 years since it takes 1 million unwishes to be accurate. They have static for thoughts and function on autopilot according to the child's determined personality. For Timmy, his Changeling's an attorney.

Thinking a bit more about this Steve Has Older Siblings AU I’ve got going on (here, here, and here). Specifically about Richard Harrington’s first wife, and two things:

1. She’s a saint. Theresa Kline (former Harrington) stood by her husband through multiple extramarital affairs but a not-quite-yet nineteen year old mistress with a baby was her breaking point. She bowed out gracefully.

Richard married his mistress and Theresa moved on. She never said a bad word about him to her kids or to anyone. She never spat an insult at the child that ruined her marriage or about her baby boy.

Though, she didn’t have to.

Her kids said enough bad things about Steve and his mom on her behalf to fill a book. They never miss an opportunity to remind Steve that while both their parents were from two of Hawkins’ more influential and wealthy families, his mother was a high school dropout homewrecker and a whore that didn’t love him.

Even after his siblings tried fixing their relationship with him, they all still take shots at his mom. Jason’s favorite analogy seems to be that him and his siblings are ‘purebred’ and Steve is a ‘mutt.’

Or, well. It was until Robin heard it and said, “Pure? Like the Nazi’s ideology?? Yikes.”

2. I realize that this AU does not really contradict anything important in the Officer Noodles (and also here) universe. You’d just have to make Angela Harrington Callahan’s little sister.

I’m not sure if u have mentioned already, but why does more happy kids mean less food for the fairies? Do the wishes supply fairies with food or power/energy/mana?

And also if a godparent had taken a kid back to the fairy world, gotten a new godchild, then took that godchild back, would the two godchild’s become siblings?

How do fairies and antis switch courts? Would that cause them to switch colour palettes or purpose?

I rlly love the lore in this au and for some reason changeling Timmy is giving me the heebie-jeebies… can changelings become evil?

In short! Fairies feed on a child's desires. They are easy to use, and they wish so often. By contrast, Anti-Fairies doesn't feed on desire, but on hope. This is why they are known to spread bad luck. The most unluckiest person is also the most hopeful.
