Jude's Leg Strength & A Coal Mine?
Tumblr media
Forgive this post as it is impromptu, but please humor me for a minute......I was driving home and thinking about Jude's legs (because that IS normal), and in particular about how much Cybird emphasizes their strength. Jude's always on the run, and everyone talks about how strong they are. Under the cut for minor spoilers.
Initially, I chocked it up to something along the lines of, "Well, in Dark IF he was on the run from people who were after him as a little kid, so it may be a hint for his main story as a little kid always on the run." And this may very well be the case.
But then I thought, well that's one possibility, what are some other ways he could've gotten such strong legs that would have to be developed over time. This is how my brain works:
Jude ➡ Strong legs ➡ He's a runner ➡ Running ➡ Running ➡ Running for work ➡ Work ➡ Work ➡ What kind of work? ➡ Courier? ➡ Nah ➡ Servant? ➡ Nope ➡ Chimney Sweep ➡ Chimney Sweep??? WTF? ➡ Ah, Fire ➡ Fire needs coal ➡ Jude's Coal mine ➡ Coal mine ➡ Coal mine ➡
JUDE WORKED IN A COAL MINE?
Tumblr media
I got home and looked up 'coal workers in Victorian times' and found this (if you want to read it yourself).
Turns out that children were often employed to work in coal mines as:
Hurriers and Thrusters.
Young children tended to work in pairs pushing and pulling carts of coal together in narrow roadways, the hurrier would pull it, while the thruster pushed it. Older children and women did this task alone.
The tubs could weigh about 600 kg or 1,377 lbs. The height of the tunnels could be between 60-120 cm or 1.9-3.9 ft.
There were also other positions:
Trapper: Reserved for the youngest child in the family, they'd be responsible the entire shift to open and close the door to the mine.
Getter: Usually, this was for the strongest youth in the family or for males. They sat at the coal face with a pick axe and chipped away the coal bits.
The entire family would usually work together so they could make enough money. Typically, a child was eight years old when they started to work in the mines, but could be as young as five. From the photos, it looks like sheer backbreaking, eye-straining hell.
Ah, a law was put into place in 1842 that stated children under the age of 10 couldn't work in the mines, but what if the owner of the coal mine kept it a secret that he had children under that age working, or Jude may have been about 10 years of age (presuming upon Dark IF).
Tumblr media
The Theory: Jude may have worked in the coal mines as a hurrier or thruster. It would definitely explain the incredible strength that he's built up in his legs, and consequently crushes people's jaws with so easily. Hmm, and it could explain why Jude has a coal mine or at least has the authority to send someone to a coal mine.
In the switch up story, Jude tells the thieves that he can either sell them or send them to slave away in a coal mine until they die.
Hahaha, wouldn't it be just like Jude to purchase the coal mine that he and his family may have been forced to work in when they were little, and then force the task masters and/or the owner of the mine to work in darkness until they were dead. That is not a stretch to me.
I mean, his family could've likely developed CWP or Black Lung Disease. True, asthma may have run in his family, but inhaling the dust over time would not only aggravate their pre-existing condition, but it would cause them to develop that illness as well. Couple that with weak and tired bodies, with no money for medicine......you get the picture.
Tumblr media
Of course, this is just for fun and I could be totally wrong, but it was fun to think more about his past and how he developed such strength in his legs.
Okay, good chat everyone! Now, I'll go translate.

the stranger things i hate about you
chapter six: best hangover medicine
| 1,136 words | 10 things i hate about you!steddie |
Steve definitely drunk too much last night, the bitter taste of beer still on his tongue and memories of the events in the club fuzzy. The boy is sat downstairs on the stool by the kitchen countertop, holding his head, a glass of aspirin in front of him. He’s rubbing his temples, the sound of a notification stinging his eardrums.
‘For fuck’s sake.’ He swears under his breath and reaches for the phone, the light from the screen too bright in the room swallowed by the darkness. He squints his eyes and blindly tries to turn the brightness down, which doesn’t go well for him. He takes a moment to get used to the light and reads the notification showing a message from Robin.
boss:
what happened last night?
The memories of the night at the club suddenly washing over him like a waterfall.
When Eddie started walking away from him, Steve followed suit and tried to stop the boy, attempting to convince him of the sincerity of his words. Eddie was very reluctant and accurately so, after all that Steve and his mates have done, but seeing Steve’s expression had him thinking. His eyes were a bit more narrow, awaiting Eddie’s next words. His hair ruffled, probably by the drunk strangers Steve had to walk past to get to the curly-head. His lips slightly open, as if he wanted to say something, hands slightly shaky on his sides. He was nervous.
Anything else past that requires Steve to do too much thinking, his head pounding, it was like a bomb ticking away, waiting to detonate. He gives up for now and messages Robin back.
steve:
idk, dont remember much
why? did something happen
A few seconds later he gets a reply, amazed with how quick the girl can type.
boss:
well, ik someone whos friends with him and they said that when trying to talk to him, he would only smile and say that hed keep it to himself
Steve’s lips form a flat line, concerned with what he must have done. When he was popular he had drank a lot, and it’d take a lot to get him at least tipsy. But now he was out of touch, and mixing alcohol has been a bad choice.
Steve looked at the glass filled with whiskey and winced slightly. He looked back at Eddie, sat beside him, a wide, toothy smile was occupying his face.
‘C’mon! The big Steve Harrington won’t drink whiskey?’ Eddie teased, knowing full well that Steve will do it. That’s the kind of person he was, or at least that’s what the metal head believed.
‘Oh, get off my ass Munson.’ Steve shook his head and downed the drink, alcohol was burning in his throat. ‘That’s awful.’
Eddie bursted out laughing, leaning back so far he almost fell off the stool. ‘You’ve never drank whiskey? You disappoint me Steven.’ A low giggle escaped him.
‘Why do you call me Steven? You know it’s Steve, you literally said my name earlier.’
Eddie stopped giggling. He looked Steve straight into eyes, and slowly smiled at him. ‘I like to see you flustered. Call it payback.’ And he took another sip of his drink.
Steve gets up from the chair, the memory so fresh in his mind, but so distant at the same time. It feels almost as if they have had been friends for a very long time, which couldn’t be further from truth. Could he even call them friends now?
A knock at the door wakes Steve up from his contemplating, his head turns towards the little hallway. His eyebrows scrunch up and he walks over. Looking through the peephole he sees a courier, holding a box. Steve opens the door.
‘Good morning. I got a package for Steve Harrington.’ The man smiles at Steve.
‘Uh, yeah that’s me. But I didn’t order anything.’ Steve replies, more as a question than a statement.
‘Oh. Uh, it says this is from Mr. Munson. Does that ring a bell?’ Steve’s eyes widen slightly. Eddie? What would he send? And how does he know Steve’s address?
‘Yeah, that’s my- friend.’ Steve takes the package from the man, bids him farewell and closes the door.
Back in the kitchen, Steve puts the box on the countertop and opens it with a pocket knife that was in a drawer. The opened box includes a CD and a couple tapes, as well as a piece of paper. He reaches for the paper and unravels it to reveal a letter.
Sorry dude, I’m old-fashioned. You wanted to listen to some stuff we talked about so I sent it to you. The CD is of my band and the tapes have a bit of Metallica, Iron Maiden and some Dio. I do expect to have them back, you got my address ;)
Eddie
Tapes? Music? Steve is beyond confused not able to register that part of the night. He takes the CD out, the picture at the front clearly self-printed, so the CD must have been burned by Eddie. The name ‘Corroded Coffin’ spaced out at the top of the cover, with bats surrounding a man below the name. Steve remembers the black van in front of the club yesterday.
‘Of course that was your car.’ Steve snickers at the thought and puts the CD back into the box to search through the rest of the ‘gifts’. At the rock bottom, he finds a cassette player with a sticky note saying ‘Cause I doubt you own one’. Steve shakes his head in amusement, taking the recorder and box with him back to his room.
Steve situates himself on the bed, the box carefully placed next to him, cassette player on his lap. He starts looking through the collection Eddie shared with him, but the singular CD in between the cassettes keeps catching his eye. Steve puts the cassette player on the bed table, grabs the laptop from the desk that’s next to the bed and turns it on. After a moment of hesitation, Steve takes the Corroded Coffin CD and puts it into his laptop, a folder popping up on the screen with a couple songs burned into it. He presses a random one, not sure where to start and a sound of guitar echoes in his ear. Drums come in and at the same time Eddie’s voice joins in. Steve feels his heart clench listening to Eddie singing, his voice sounding slightly different to what he was used to hearing at school, or even last night. The feeling goes away as quickly as it appears leaving Steve slightly on the edge as he continues to listen to the band’s music. He could maybe get used to this genre. And maybe he’d get used to Eddie and his company.
Just maybe.

A Game of Wit - Reader x Enver Gortash
What begins as playful exchanges between Gortash and Reader quickly spirals into an intricate game of wits.
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
In the depths of Baldur's Gate, there were many alliances forged in shadow and deceit, but few as peculiar as the one between [Name] and Gortash. It had started innocently enough—or at least, as innocent as two minds steeped in manipulation and wit could allow.
[Name] had been lingering in the city, half-heartedly nursing a temporary truce with Gortash. Despite her disdain for his ambition and the gilded tower he lorded over, she couldn’t deny the allure of poking at him. It was easy to rile him, far too easy to see that charming mask falter. Their sparring was addictive, and on a day she deemed particularly dull, she decided to start something new. A simple idea, harmless in theory. A prank.
The first was modest: swapping the wine in his goblet for vinegar. She hadn’t stayed to see his reaction, but her informant in the tower, a chatty maid with loose lips and a penchant for drama, regaled her with the tale of Gortash’s sour expression mid-toast. He hadn’t said a word apparently—just quietly endured it with that ever-present smirk of his. A dangerous smirk, as she’d later realize.
Days later, she returned to her apothecary cart to find it decorated with garish ribbons, the sort one would expect at a wealthy merchant’s ostentatious wedding. There was even a poorly scrawled sign that read, “Congratulations, Madam [Surname], on the Grand Opening of ‘Fungal Frolics’!” The crowd it drew was both irritating and embarrassing. But when she spied Gortash watching from the shadows, that smirk firmly in place, she vowed revenge.
Thus began the war.
The next prank involved a carefully concocted mixture of herbs and powders that caused harmless, though unsightly, blue stains to bloom on one’s skin. She ensured it found its way into his gloves, the dye only activating hours later under the warmth of his hands. By the time she passed him on a busy street, his fingertips were unmistakably azure.
“Striking color, Lord Gortash,” she quipped, walking by as if she hadn’t noticed the slight narrowing of his eyes.
But Gortash was not one to be bested, especially in games of subtlety. She awoke the next morning to find her supply of medicinal herbs replaced with gaudy flowers. It was a childish move, but the note attached—written in that flourish she detested—was what grated her most. “A healer with no herbs is like a merchant with no wares. Do enjoy the blossoms, [Name].”
She gritted her teeth and began plotting her retaliation.
The exchanges escalated over the weeks, each one more clever and infuriating than the last. Gortash turned her rain-collecting barrels into fountains of foam by some alchemical trickery. [Name] retaliated by sneaking a harmless but foul-smelling potion into the pipes of his tower baths, ensuring every wash left him reeking of sulfur.
Yet beneath the annoyance, something else began to grow—a thread of tension neither of them openly acknowledged. Their paths crossed more often, their words laced with double meanings, their gazes lingering longer than they should.
It was during one of these encounters that Gortash upped the stakes. He invited her to an elaborate banquet, sending a courier with a formal letter sealed with his crest. She nearly laughed at the absurdity of it but attended anyway, curiosity getting the better of her.
The dinner was elegant, far more so than she anticipated, but it was also a trap. The wine she was served turned her teeth a deep shade of purple. She realized it only after a passing servant subtly tried to avoid laughing. Gortash, seated across from her, raised his glass in a mock toast.
“To clever minds and sharper tongues,” he said, his voice smooth as silk.
“Oh, you’re going to regret this,” she replied, though her lips curved into a grudging smile.
That night, as she plotted her next move, she realized the humor had shifted. What started as a lighthearted rivalry had become an intricate dance. She could feel it in the way he looked at her, the way he angled his head when she spoke as if hanging onto her every word. And though she hated to admit it, she wasn’t immune to the effect either.
The culmination of their war came a week later, though neither could have predicted it. [Name], fed up with his arrogance, snuck into his quarters late one night. Her goal was to leave behind an enchanted object—a simple charm that would cause any mirror he gazed into to reflect him as a bedraggled, wild-haired version of himself.
But Gortash was waiting.
“Do you often break into men’s chambers uninvited, or am I a special case?” he asked, leaning casually against the doorframe, his arms crossed.
[Name] froze, hand still clutching the charm. “I could ask the same. Do you always lay traps for unsuspecting women, or is this just for me?”
He pushed off the doorframe and approached, his steps measured. “Only for you, I’m afraid.”
There was a weight in the air, a shift neither could ignore. She tucked the charm into her belt and met his gaze, refusing to back down even as he stopped mere inches away.
“You’ve gone to great lengths to get my attention, [Name],” he murmured, his voice low.
“And you’ve been insufferably smug about it,” she shot back, though her voice lacked its usual venom.
His lips twitched into a smirk, but it softened quickly. “Tell me, is this war of ours truly about pranks? Or something else?”
The question hung between them, heavy and unspoken for far too long. [Name] wanted to laugh it off, to insult him, to do anything but admit the truth. Yet as his gaze held hers, she felt her defenses cracking.
“I suppose that depends,” she said finally, her voice quieter than she intended. “What do you think it’s about?”
Gortash reached out, his hand brushing the side of her face. It was a simple gesture, yet it sent a shiver down her spine. “I think,” he said, his tone laced with uncharacteristic sincerity, “we’ve been avoiding the answer for quite some time.”
For once, she had no clever retort. Instead, she let the silence speak, the distance between them narrowing until it disappeared altogether. And as their prank war dissolved into something far more dangerous and intoxicating.
[Name] couldn’t help but think she had won after all.

This will most certainly be an incredibly strange ask, but I finished watching Predator recently, and was thinking, how would New Vegas or 4 companions react to having (with the help of their respective protagonist) killed one of them?
FNV Companion's Reactions To Having Killed One Of The Predators
➼ Word Count » 0.6k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Platonic
Boone finds them disgusting and would want to send in a report to the NCR just so they're aware of what's out there. They're a threat to the natural order of things, and if the Legion got a hold of one, the Mojave would be screwed. If anything, he'd want to try and find more so they could be turned into weapons for the battle at Hoover Dam. The whole ordeal would be another reason for him to be kept up at night, too busy worrying over the possible dangers that could harm either of you to even want to rest.
Arcade would stand in shock, confused at what he was looking at, before snapping out of it and taking as many samples as he could carry with him. He'd try and take everything he could — from its weapons to syringes filled with its blood — just so the Followers could help research it with him. His biggest concern would be that more would eventually come, so he's hoping this will make everyone more prepared if they do.
They might not even realize Raul's alive at first, or at the very least, go a bit easier on him due to how sick he looks. He'll be glad when the thing finally dies, hitting it once more to ensure it stays down. He'll make bitter comments about how he 'doesn't even look that old'. He's more salty about it than anything, but he does try and recommend that you and him stick to NCR or Legion camps so they can deal with them if another ever comes back.
Lily is appalled by the lack of manners the Predators have and will give you this short shpeal about how you should never end up like them. Her schizophrenia makes it hard for her to fully comprehend this as a real event and not a sign that she just needs to take her medicine a bit more often, but she's there to support you when things go south.
Cass would start shooting at it the second it appeared and would feel so accomplished if you two actually did get it to die. She'd be exhausted afterward, suggesting that you guys set up camp for the night and figure out what to do with the beast in the morning. She might even throw some of its limbs on the fire to see if they're edible, and the armor would be good to sell...
Veronica would also try to gather as much information as she could on the creature and write a quick report for the Elder. This thing that the two of you killed is a technological marvel and she'd be damned if she let it go to waste. In fact, she might even ask you to help drag the entire thing back to Hidden Valley so that the other scribes can look at it in a more hands-on manner.
They can't see ED-E through their Bio-Masks since he doesn't produce any thermal heat, so it'll mostly just be the courier trying to kill it while he zips around in fear, trying to find a weak spot on it. It'll be more of a relief than a curiosity when you finally get him to fall. You'd probably just end up leaving it there and going to the nearest settlement with how tired the both of you would be.
Rex is still tense, even when the two of you do manage to kill it. He'll bark and growl until you're both far away from whatever hole you left it in and will be visibly shaken if you end up wandering close to the area ever again.

You know what I AM gunna post Caesar character analysis
I genuinely and fully believe Caesar does not actually believe half the things he's says he does.
He's a man with an ego, and a noted hypocrit- he says no tech no medicine, yet has an autodoc in his room, had is displacer fist, is more than happy to supply his legionnaires with automatic weapons in order to hunt down someone who pissed him off (The assassins he sends after the courier with low legion rep).
Which begs the question, why?
As I mentioned Caesar has an ego- everything he says and every rule he puts in place is about power and control. He bases his whole persona on a historically powerful and significant figure.
I feel he uses slavery as both a direct control tactic over women, but also an indirect one over his legionaires. He's given them someone to be better than- they're less likely to question his power if they have someone else to have power over.
I'm convinced he doesn't care about the general longevity or success of the legion as a long term empire. It's a vanity project to put him in a position of power over as many people as humanly possible. Once he's dead and gone? Why would he care.
I think this because 1) if you kill him Lanius is put in charge, and Lanius is a deeply unstable and violent man with no real sense of rational leadership OR planning for the long term longevity of the legion 2) his lack of heirs. Caesar harps on about legionaires needed to make more loyal soldiers for his cause, but has no wife or offspring off his own- no one else to take over and follow in his footsteps.
Ulysses (and the courier if you've killed Caesar before doing the quest "Return to Sender") brings up that with Caesar’s death the Legion is likely to dissolve back into tribes. This is pretty indicative of the legions overall lack of plans once Caesar is no longer in power- Caesar has done nothing ensure his own legacy, because once he's gone it'll no longer serve him and his ego.
I've got some mixed thoughts about why exactly he's so power hungry- it could be just because he's an egomanic with desires of grandeur but I feel its more to do with his upbringing.
He was raised as a poor kid, with no particular status in life, raiders kill his father and he and his mother took help from the followers.
He resents those who had power over him both physically (The raiders) and intellectually (The followers). He's desperate to climb above that, to be strong powerful and important and not be beholden to the help of others. Having to accept help, not being strong or smart enough to handle things in his own, and any type of failure feels deeply shameful and brusies his ego. This probably also explains his childish and angry reactions when he's reminded of his failures. His ego is fragile, and he has a deep need to be perfect and powerful, and in charge because he resents the fact he used to be a nobody who needed to rely on others.

On December 24th 1856 the writer and geologist Hugh Miller “The Highlander who changed the world” died.
The death of Hugh Miller saddens me. On Christmas Eve, after reading some poems to his children and sending them to bed, Miller wrote a suicide note to his wife Lydia and shot a bullet through his chest, muffling the sound. Lydia discovered the body the next morning.
He may not be the best known Scot but Miller was a man of many talents, fossil hunter, folklorist, Christian, stonemason, geologist, newspaper editor, social justice campaigner, he was one of the great Scots of the 19th century.
Unlike other famous Scottish geologists like Hutton and Lyell, Miller was self taught.
Miller was orphaned after his father was lost at sea, he was educated at the local parish school and was said to have been an avid reader but also a habitual truant! After school he trained as a stone mason and it was while working in the quarries that his interest in geology began. He also started to write articles for the Inverness Courier. His book, Scenes and Legends of the North of Scotland is considered a classic, collected from the Cromarty firesides of friends and family it was inspired by two of Scotland’s literary greats Walter Scott and James Hogg.
Much of his writing was based upon his personal experiences of travelling around Scotland and northern England where he observed closely the homes and ways of life of Scottish crofters and the effects of the Highland Clearances. He also became heavily involved in religion and was involved in the fledgling days of the “Wee Free” editing their newspaper The Witness.
He also wrote on Geology and made many important original contributions to this field, discovering fossils of sea scorpions (eurypterids) from the Silurian, and fishes from the Old Red Sandstone (Devonian) rocks, on the coast near Cromarty, together with plants from the Devonian and Carboniferous periods.
His fish specimens proved of great interest to Louis Agassiz, the Swiss geologist who had become a world authority on fossil fishes. He also found many marine invertebrate fossils from the upper Jurassic rocks, also around Cromarty. Many of his fossils were drawn by him and presented in his Testimony of the Rocks, and in lectures that he gave to the Edinburgh Philosophical Institute,
His fossil collection of over 6,000 specimens formed the founding core of what is today’s Scottish national collection in the National Museums of Scotland.
For most of 1856, Miller suffered severe headaches and mental distress, and the most probable diagnosis is of psychotic depression. Victorian medicine did not help. He feared that he might harm his wife or children because of persecutory delusions.
Hugh Miller left the following note for his wife;
“Dearest Lydia, I must have walked, and a fearful dream rises upon me. I cannot bear the horrible thought. God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy upon me.”
Speculations about Miller’s reasons immediately rose. Upon request of his pastor, physicians conducted an examination of his brain, which showed a “diseased appearance.” The final judgment was that the suicide had been committed “under the impulse of insanity.”
He had not been well for a while. He had complained to his doctor that his brain was “giving way,” and had reported terrible nightmares that left him “trembling all over, and quite confused.” He had also reported sharp pains, like “an electric shock,” passing through his brain and leaving a burning sensation on top of his head. Because of these physical symptoms and the visible appearance of a “diseased brain,” some have suggested a brain tumour. Whatever it was, it was fairly sudden and unpredicted. As most illnesses of the brain, it was also largely unexplainable.
But people want explanations. Some blamed his mother, who told him stories about frightening Gaelic spirits. Some suggested he could not deal with the apparent contradictions between his faith and his geological studies. Interestingly, this second theory is still strong today. Yet, its proponents, like myself, don’t know Hugh Miller. He was never afraid of the truth, nor of the questions and challenges that led to its discovery.
In truth we will never know why he took his own life, like many suicides it is left unexplained, I suggest you have a look at the page below, “ The final days of Hugh Miller”

2, 3, 4 for lukas and 23, 26, 27 for ophelia! 👀
THANK YOU ILY!!! 💖🫶💕🫰
🌵Lukas
2: Which faction(s) did they join and which did they destroy? Why?
The current canon ending I have Lukas doing is independent Vegas but down the line after the Battle for the Hoover Dam he joins the Followers of the Apocalypse. He does really like doing the work that they do and he’s pretty good at medicine even though literally none of it is formal training LMAO. A couple of years down the line he even manages to find his bio mom through the Followers since she’d been doing work for them in the NCR :,)
And the faction he destroys is the Legion because 1. duh 2. His home was one of the “tribes” that were in their path of destruction
3. What is their S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?
At the beginning of the game:
S: 4
P: 7
E: 5
C:8
I:8
A:5
L:5
4. Give us a summary of their backstory
OH BOY HERE WE GO.
Lukas spends the first 11 years of his life in the small settlement of New Eden - a splinter faction of the New Canaanites that his father led after he declared himself a prophet of the Lord (he thought he saw an angel while stranded during a hunting party what was most likely a hallucination). Home life is. Not great. His father’s pretty subscribed to a very toxic projection of masculinity and expects a lot from his children - it’s toxic as hell and Lukas chafes a lot under them. His older brother Ethan got a big portion of their father’s abuse and ends up perpetuating it onto his younger siblings Julia and Lukas. So at 11 he ends up tailing a trading caravan that had recently stopped by in hopes he could leave, scrape caps together and get his mother and sister to leave too.
Like maybe two days in, he gets caught and the caravan decides they’re gonna send someone to take him back because they’re afraid they’ll lose a valuable trade partner if they’re suspected of kidnapping the leader’s son.
The one who escorts him is a ghoul named Majorie who does actually hear him out, and by the time they almost reach the settlement she’s tempted to say fuck it and keep the kid when they see black smoke rising in the distance.
All they find is a burnt-out shell of a town and one Legion flag staked in front - they’d missed the Legion by about a day who had taken everything and then burnt the rest to the ground. (So he doesn’t know this - but basically Ethan had been slowly being converted to the Legion when meeting and trading w them and sold New Eden out for a good position - a few had managed to flee including Julia and their mother.)
Majorie takes Lukas under her wing at first as a temporary thing before she can find someone to take him in, but that doesn’t work out at all and she’s like a mom figure for him.
She ends up dying from a bullet wound shortly before the Hopeville delivery and Lukas has been drifting since doing random courier jobs since he doesn’t have like any roots at all, leading up to the events of New Vegas.
🌊 Ophelia
23. Do they have a temper or are they level headed?
Oh my god yes. People don’t assume she does because she’s very sweet most of the time but you will regret pissing her off
26. How do they come off to others? What first impression do they usually make?
Ophelia comes off as very mild-mannered, a little shy to most people. As the game goes on it can be hard for people to connect her reputation and deeds to the person standing in front of them.
27. Do they prefer to travel alone or with company? Who have they traveled with if any? Current companion if any?
It was really hard for her to travel alone when she first left the vault!! She was so used to having people around. She does get used to solitude when traveling eventually but you know Dogmeat is literally always with her!! She does finally manage to convince Butch to travel with her and it’s a weird friendship neither of them thought they’d have.

We have an influx of Saurians after the war. A colony of 26 Tepetlisaur Whelps has been located at Ochkanatlan, and there are many Qucusaurs and Iktomisaurs we have yet to account for. With the help of the Saurian Riders and Elder Tlapo, we have been searching for the missing Saurians. We hope to find them all soon. And we thank the Collective of Plenty and Children of Echoes for the supplies and help in construction, as well as the couriers from the Scions of the Canopy for delivering the supplies. The posters from the People of the Springs have been extremely helpful in spreading the word, and we thank Chief Biram for the woven scroll made in honor of Witz. We would also like to thank Ifa and Mazkal for the medical aid, and we will send staff with experience in medicine to aid you two in return.

From what happened during the 1997 strike UPS workers prioritized medicine and other goods that were essential.
I don't know how reliable this is, but they say they have contingency plans in place to get medical needs met without much disturbance just as they did in '97. I googled "ups strike medical shipments" about a week ago realizing I would need to figure out if my medicines would still make it here and multiple articles popped up. However, you will find articles trying to seriously alarm you and claim that the medical supply chain will be absolutely destroyed if this strike goes through, do your best not to listen to those, while that fear is warranted and I myself am still very nervous, I know that strikers have always found a way to help those in need while indefinitely delaying nonessential packages throughout the strike (while recognizing that can be a grey area in itself). We are beholden to healthcare companies when it comes to getting our medicines and supplies, and those companies choose which carriers to send their packages through, and these workers/couriers understand that better than anyone as the exploited workforce through which goods are made to flow.
Hey, PSA for my fellow disabled people: UPS workers are trying to negotiate a new contract, and it looks like it's leading to a strike soon. Now, I am absolutely all for this, they need safe working conditions and should strike if need be, but for us?
Please contact your doctors and make sure you're prepared in any way possible. This will affect many of you, whether that's through med deliveries, oxygen tanks, or other one-use supplies. If you live in America, try to get in contact with an insurance case worker for resources and advice if you're able.
Stay safe, and hope that the precaution isn't necessary.
