your eyes
'malipo' kinich x m!reader
I don't care how long it takes As long as I'm with you I've got a smile on my face
theme: general, fluff
warning: none, i think, maybe a bit ooc?
summary: (name) has been crushing on a certain saurian hunter for a while already and wayna was getting tired of just watching him stare at the hunter with loving eyes with no plans of making a confession. just how long until kinich notices?
notes: got some inspiration lol i finally got kinich a couple of nights ago xD I was so happy, so I started writing this fic for him lol hope you like it! reblog & comments, any feedback is appreciated!
(colored) eyes stared at the back of a certain saurian hunter. he was talking to one of the tribe’s elders. (name) sighed. a longing gaze watching the dendro user walk away with a small bag of mora in his hands, his annoying companion yapping away beside him about any little trait he could use to berate the other. with kinich out of sight, (name) returned to sorting through a box full of gems but another figure blocked his way, startling the young seller.
“you keep staring at him like that, he’ll feel holes burning in the back of his head.” joked the tribe's chief Wayna, a playful smirk displayed on his features. (name)’s cheeks burned, a pinkish hue decorating across them. “c’mon, when are you going to tell him? you’ve been pinning him since the day you came from Inazuma.” wayna added with a tilt of his head and his arms crossed firmly over his chest. (name) glared at him lightly, smacking the chief’s arm while gesturing to shush.
“shut up! you can’t say that aloud.” (name) huffed, walking over to the chief to return to his latest shipment. part of him regretted telling wayna about his secret crush on the dendro hunter. well, more like the older man found out within the first few weeks after (name) arrived in huitztlan and got rescued by kinich and the self-centered dragonlord k'uhul ajaw in a near-death attack by some of the wild saurians. Wayna, of course, teased the inazuman merchant for a while about his little secret crush on the hunter after promising not to spill it out to anyone else, especially on kinich, or worse, ajaw. but wayna was getting a little tired of the electro user just staring at the guy whenever he was around. it had been almost half a year since (name) came to natlan. he was surprised kinich didn’t sense those yearning glances… yet. maybe he already noticed but doesn’t bother looking into it. maybe he didn’t. wayna was curious now.
wayna sighed, shaking his head. “young people these days.” he said, looking over the seller roamed through his shipment. “you two aren’t staying any younger. you should confess, (name).”
“and for what? to get rejected? get made fun of and berated by the oh-so-great dragonlord k’uhul ajaw?” (name) said through gritted teeth, annoyance sipping into his tone. “i’ve rather died in the night kingdom than confess my feelings to kinich.” wayna winced at the last part of (name)’s statement. not wanting to get electrocuted, wayna simply patted (name)’s head and walked away to attend to other matters in the tribe. the merchant clicked his tongue before moving around his little shop to display the new various gems he received from kirara. as he pulled out another small box with more gems stored inside it, (name) noticed a pretty gem that had a familiar color of a familiar pair of eyes. oh, great. now kinich was beginning to affect his line of work. maybe he should confess… but how? no, maybe he shouldn’t. his feelings are only going to get hurt and he would have no choice but to move back to inazuma. archons, his mind tends to be exaggerating.
(name) shook his head. maybe next time. when he has enough courage to confess his pining feelings.
the gem matching kinich’s eyes was too pretty. (name) had no choice but to make it into a bracelet. it looked beautiful. just like kinich. ugh. he just can’t get rid of him. The saurian hunter kept plaguing his mind every day and night. his heart raced at just the mention of his name. (name) frowned. he put the bracelet away in his pockets as he walked down the dirt path leading to the scions of the canopy. he was still a long way from home. (name) had a delivery he needed to do personally, to make the gems the customer asked for delivered safely and he did so by delivering them himself. he should have just hired kirara. it was a long walk. too long.
“you pathetic, lizard-brain worm! you dared tried to defy the almighty dragonlord k’uhul ajaw!? you truly dared to invite the wrath of the almighty dragonlord k’uhul ajaw, a sovereign of the nation of flames!”
(name) paused. he recognized that voice. that aggravating voice. even from this distance, he could feel it getting under his skin. but if ajaw was nearby… does that mean he was too?
biting his lower lip back, (name) debated eavesdropping into their conversation. he shouldn’t but… archons, he sounded like a creep thinking this, he wanted to see kinich. it had been almost a week since he last saw him. it was just a little glance. that’s all.
quietly walking over behind a tree, (name) peeked over the trunk. ah, there he was. standing tall with his arms crossed over his chest, eyes closed as he let ajaw talk his ears off. but it wasn’t just him there. the legendary traveler and their companion paimon were there, too. (name) honestly didn’t pay attention to the other three. His longing gaze was set on the dark-haired dendro user.
wow. how can a human being like him be so pretty and strong-willed?
(name) sighed with a heavy heart and blinked. but when he looked over to where kinich stood, said hunter was gone. oh, no. the other three were still arguing with one another, so where had kinich gone to?
“i’ve seen the way you look at me when you think i don’t notice.” a voice spoke lowly behind him. (name) let out a small, frightened shout at the sudden presence of kinich behind him. his eyes widened. his face flushed brightly. his words quickly registered into his mind before shaking his hands in defend.
“wha-wha-what are you ta-talking about?” (name) cursed mentally for his nervous stutter, his (colored) eyes looked anywhere but at the saurian hunter.
“that longing look in your eyes… noticed it for a while now.” kinich answered, uncrossing his arms as he took a step closer to (name), who instead took a step behind. and they continued for a bit until his back met the tree, kinich never breaking eye contact.
(name)’s brows furrowed, his anxious gaze staring down at the ground beside him. a hand went into his pocket where the bracelet was, trying to see comfort from it.
getting no response back, kinich tilted his head as he leaned his face closer to (name). he was a few inches taller than him, finding the little height difference endearing. “started noticing it after the first month you stayed in the canopy. the way you have this yearning look in your eyes. they’re always set on me. you wouldn’t even flinch whenever i caught your stare.” oh, no. (name) inwardly groaned. he must have zoned out as he stared openly at the claymore wielder. the merchant wanted to dig a hole and died in it out of embarrassment. so kinich knew for half a year. how humiliating.
“i-i didn’t mean to… i’m sorry. i just, um.. I…” (name) was at a loss for words. he was sure his face was as red as those dendrobiums that appeared around the shipwrecks in nazuichi beach. his heart beat so fast, he was afraid it was going to burst out of his chest. part of him hoped so to avoid this worst-case scenario.
kinich shook his head at the unfinished apology. “there’s no need to say that.” he started, his own gaze now looking at the tree behind (name)’s back. “i’ve…been having the same longing look, too… towards you. for a while now.” kinich said, pulling himself together to look into (name)’s eyes, after said seller found the courage to do so too. he stared down at the other with a small intense look in his eyes before shifting his gaze back towards the trio he left behind. “i’m not busy right now. ajaw is busy with a couple of behavioral teachers right now, so… would you like to take a walk back to the canopy?” kinich offered his arm towards (name). The electro user stared at him in shock before smiling timidly, taking his arm in his own.
“that will be lovely.” (name) had a feeling wayna would be too surprised the moment they arrived at the tribe. his smile grew a bit, already feeling the teasing miles away. at the very least, things turned out in a good light, unlike what his overthinking mind had clouded inside his head. (name) was happy with this outcome.

A slightly bluer-than-normal Tepetlisaurus Whelp trots over to Mavuika from the temporary Saurian Care Center setup in the Stadium, looking up at the Archon curiously.
" Oroo? "
Mavuika’s eyes soften as the Tepetlisaurus Whelp trots up to her. She crouched down, her towering presence becoming more approachable as her gauntlet-clad hand gently brushed the top of its scaly head. The cool, faintly glowing blue of its skin reminded her of the lives lost in the recent battle, of the fragility hidden beneath such resilient creatures.

"Hey there, little one," she said in a low, soothing tone, her fingers trailing along its head, offering comfort in the simplest of ways. "You shouldn't be out here alone. The people back at the care center will be worried about you."

Phlogiston Spores. (Nicte HC)
General Info.
The ability to unleash spores of various effects is solely exclusive to Yumkasaurus and generally more potent & dangerous, both for the user and affected. Typically, it centers around inducing unbearable skin problems on contact that one eventually can't help but scratch at the skin to the point those itches turn to rashes, burns and worse, if the person already possess an allergy of somekind.
Although, adults have an easier time mastering spores, with proper teachings, yumkasaur whelps can do the same. However, it is not recommended because how it can threaten a whelp's life.
In this case of Nicte, Kinich did teach her to store spores but at a minimal capacity. Rarely does she ever use them but if to deter away threats or stop intruders, if she got to utilize a spore attack as a last resort, this young yumkasaurus will not hesitate.
Though these spores are Phlogiston in powder form, they still apply a Dendro Elemental Reaction and often used by Yumkasaurs while kicking and from a tail slap alone.
Effects.
The effects alone are generally at random and cannot be guessed right off.
Paralytic effect, often strong enough to override the brain signal and prohibit the ability to move for short period.
May cause burns and other skin problems.
Worsen the condition of someone who already possess allergic reaction, regardless of what the allergy is.
Though more tame than the effects above, getting drenched in spores can offers a muscle relaxant effect, which generally helps others calm down or slip out of any sort of chains, wheter traditional ropes or metal chains.
Sporing mechanical entities is possible but depending on the size, its nowhere as near as effective than on a human, animal or fellow wild Saurian.
Downside.
While adults have more mastery over unleashing and storing Phlogiston Spores from their tail or kicking prowess, hoarding too much spores while making use of Pomegranate can interfere with the stored spores and burn themselves from the inside out since those spores are Dendro oriented and no different than when a Burning reaction happens.
As for youths, until a certain age, they are not taught how to store & use this self defense mechanism. Still, goodness knows how many intrusions Nicte took care of, for her owner and sent away for medical attention, only to regret the idea of barging in uninvited.

What He Signed Up For
The EMD’s battery whined. Green, yellow, and red bars glowed on the side of the futuristic weapon, set for maximum power output.
A measured response to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. A mighty dinosaur in the flesh. Its deafening roar curdled Chloe Grant’s blood and shook her to the core. Their previous encounter with a Purrusaurus had haunted her nightmares with memories of the giant crocodile, but it paled in comparison to this tyrant lizard and its towering appearance.
The earth quaked with every step the beast took. Despite its frightening mass, it displayed an even more terrifying agility. The T-Rex ducked underneath metal girders connecting different parts of the oil rig. Gigantic claws crashed down and kicked up clouds of dust, suffocating the crystal blue sky behind it.
Mischchenko shot first. Electric blasts discharged into balls of lightning where they struck the giant lizard. It roared in pain. Its roar petered out into an angry growl—a single shot from the EMD, even at full capacity, was not enough to knock the dino out.
Grant flipped her internal safety switch. Stopped thinking. Acted on that dread that had been paralyzing her at the sight of the T-Rex, and now acted like she used to in the field, as a soldier. How different could it be from shooting at a tank?
Two blasts from her EMD hit the T-Rex in its snout, dead center. It roared again, reared back, and metal squealed where the lizard’s body smashed through the oil rig’s girders.
From the flanks, more EMD shots sliced through the air, three in number. Ruiz, crouched upon an old blue container shell, sniped at the T-Rex from his elevated position. His first shot sent the beast reeling, stumbling back another few thundering steps. Static crackled around the scaly beast’s body. It shuddered, barely staying standing. Before it could recover, a second and third shot elicited a strange mewling sound from the T-Rex’s maw.
Mischchenko ducked. In doing so, she covered the dirt-caked boy in the blue container behind them. The boy shivered behind her, whimpering, cowering at the sight of the T-Rex. Small hands covered eyes, screwed shut in terror.
Grant stepped farther out from the container, aiming down her EMD’s scope at the beast. It stumbled back another step.
Ruiz’s voice on intercom crackled, tinny, commenting with coldness.
“Careful now. I ain’t carrying that big-ass lizard back to any Anomaly.”
The T-Rex looked disoriented. Its toothy maw opened and clamped shut, and its massive claws kicked up more dust, tearing up ground around the abandoned Midland oil rig.
Grant muttered into the intercom, “How the hell did nobody spot this thing on satellite image? Yo!”
Mischchenko skipped the answer to her question. She barked, “We need a location on the Anomaly! Yesterday!”
The T-Rex lurched forward and the ground shook again.
Murder flashed in reptilian eyes.
“We aren’t getting anything here!” Singh whined across the airwaves. “Not even a visual! Where are you?”
Grant kept her gun’s muzzle trained at the dinosaur’s head. She clicked her tongue.
The T-Rex reared back another thundering step. Its tail whipped around and tore a chunk of metal out of the old rig’s body. Metal bars bent and groaned and screeched where unstoppable saurian force tore them apart.
Huge legs buckled. The EMD shots always hurt.
“It’s going to run,” Burch said over the radio. It dawned on Grant that Burch could see everything they were seeing at the oil rig, as their helmets were continuously transmitting visual feeds. Burch repeated, with more urgency, “It’s going to run!”
Mischchenko took a step forward, Ruiz stayed as still as a statue, and Grant’s finger curled around the trigger.
Time slowed to a crawl. A single second turned into an eternity.
No thoughts. Only action.
Grant shot first, then Ruiz, then Mischchenko. Five more EMD discharges total, and the T-Rex emitted another mewling groan. It stumbled again. It crashed. A living earthquake, shaking their world. Flakes of rust snowed down from every metal girder, and the blue containers rocked. All metal groaned.
The three field operatives breathed steadily, keeping their weapons lined up for more shots.
The T-Rex’s tail slapped the ground, whipping up another violent cloud of dust.
There was almost a tragic beauty in how the dust broke the rays of broad daylight in this Texan desert.
Nobody else on the team commented. Stunned, they watched what the helmet feeds transmitted.
The T-Rex no longer budged. Its maw closed with slowness. Eyelids fell shut.
The dinosaur slept off its stupor. The EMDs had taken it down. For now.
“Specimen incapacitated,” Mischchenko confirmed. “We need eyes on the Anomaly, damnit!”
Nothing. The huge cloud of dust surrounding the T-Rex still settled, slowly. Ever so slowly.
Doctor Solomon broke the silence. “Working on it. I think something’s interfering with our detectors. And something else is affecting the satellite images. Standby, please.”
Ruiz sighed. “We ain’t got all day, and we’re gettin’ spread thin. Wasn’t there another dino out here we need to worry about? And the federales team?”
Stantz replied via radio. “Me, I’m on the military, don’t worry about it. We need to find out if there’s more damage I need to control. Carter—you should regroup with the rest of field ops. Two o’ ya keep your eyes on the T-Rex, two start sweeping the area. How hard can it be to find another big lizard and a big glowing orb of energy?”
“Doctor Trémaux would beg to differ.” Doctor Solomon interjected. “It’s not simply energy, it’s—”
“I don’t care, man,” Stantz cut in. “You eggheads worry about quantum physics or whatever it is you do, I worry about keeping the lid on things.”
“No objections from me,” Carter growled. “Except the part where you’re the media guy, and not our C.O., Stantz. That being said, I got no arguments about our next steps. On my way to rendezvous with y’all, Mischchenko. Sit tight.”
Ruiz hopped down from the blue container. He lifted his helmet’s visor to reveal symmetrical features and a three o’clock shadow on his face. Brown eyes sparkled as he stared daggers at the downed T-Rex.
In a fluid motion, he produced a crumpled pack of cigarettes from a pocket, then brought one of those cigarettes to the corner of his lips.
Mischchenko cleared her throat. She emerged from the blue container with the small boy, helping the child to climb out.
“Not concerned about setting a bad example?” she asked Ruiz.
He shrugged and lit up his cigarette with a blade-like flame from a storm lighter.
Mischchenko sighed. She lifted her visor and hunkered down next to the boy, meeting the child at eye level, and resting a gloved hand on his shoulder. In hushed tones and a soothing voice, she spoke to the kid, soon learning his name was Aiden, and telling him that he didn’t need to be afraid of any dinosaurs as long as they were around.
Figuring Mischchenko had that situation handled, Grant shouldered her EMD rifle and sauntered up to Ruiz.
While he smoked, they kept watch on the unconscious T-Rex.
The dinosaur’s sides heaved with an almost peaceful tranquil. Breathing steadily.
Part of her wanted to approach it. Part of her imagined removing a glove, running her fingers over those scales, to learn what it felt like.
The rest of her body and instincts screamed at her. She was as close as she needed to be, and didn’t even want to imagine what would happen if that beast bit anybody.
Instead of approaching it and sating that lethal curiosity, Grant stood still as a statue, a sentry.
Ruiz scratched his chin and smoked, eventually peeling his attention off the T-Rex, and meeting Grant’s gaze.
Smoke billowed from his nostrils and he chortled. “Well, would you look at that. Feels like yesterday when Carter was complaining about walkin’ into a T-Rex on a mission, huh?”
Grant forced herself not to study his handsome face. He looked like an artist had chiseled a perfect likeness of a man into the shadow of his helmet.
Ruiz must have picked up on it. A smirk played around the corners of his lips, framed by a subtle twitch that he wrestled back into a stoic expression.
Grant had no idea what Ruiz knew. He knew why Future Proof’s team had missed the Anomaly, and still had no visual on the T-Rex. Or them, for that matter.
Just that morning, the mystery woman with the red hair had briefed him on it. Briefed him on it all.
* * *
“We’re about to leak this intel to Future Proof,” said the mystery woman. Loretta Corsino.
If Ruiz’s smirk bore self-confidence, then Corsino’s smirk was smug.
This morning, however, long before Future Proof’s team arrived in Midland, Ruiz wasn’t smirking at all.
He was frowning.
Flipping up and down the brief on the tablet’s screen, its contents were painting the frown on his face.
Corsino’s group, the nebulous company who was wiring obscene amounts of money to Ruiz for his espionage work at Future Proof, had finally gotten a leg up on them.
The screen displayed grainy satellite images of dinosaurs on the loose in the dusty outskirts of Midland. And satellite images of an Anomaly, a glittering, glowing orb in a wasteland.
Ruiz scrolled past a picture of Captain Dariel Rose—bearded, dark, carved with wrinkles from black ops abroad, staring into the camera with a grim expression—acting head of the military operations team en route to secure the specimens.
He scrolled past number crunching, cold mathematics. Corporate language, callous in its specificity, with all the fluff cut out for clarity. Ruiz scrolled past it all. He wasn’t interested in the details. The specifics made his stomach churn and knot.
The stats summed up a preliminary death toll, measured in civilians. They weren’t doing a damned thing.
Ruiz wasn’t liking any of this. It wasn’t what he had signed up for.
The tablet, dropped from his hand in frustration, clattered on the café’s table between them.
Loretta Corsino still smirked at him. Maybe she was just sadistic enough that his reaction amused her. Impossible for him to read. Hers was a beauty to rival his own, and her role in all of this… it frightened him.
Valentìn Ruiz thumbed his upper lip and stifled a sigh.
“What am I supposed to do with this, now?” he asked, throwing up his hand in frustration.
Corsino’s eyes sparkled in the morning sun. She took a timid sip from her cup of coffee, and the smirk never faded from her lips.
“You do your job, Mister Magician. Show up to work, play dumb, and be our eyes and ears at Future Proof. We want to see if Doctor Solomon can beat our new toy before we pull the plug. If this works out right, we’ll always be a step ahead of Future Proof from here on out, and you can expect another big, fat paycheck for your good work.”
Ruiz almost muttered “fuck me” with another sigh. Almost.
Instead, he took a deep breath and sipped his coffee. Suppressed the shake in his hand.
Almost like the shakes he used to have, back in the day of work as a sharpshooter. First Recon. The shakes had gone away after he left the service, went private. Didn’t even need booze or drugs to take off the edge.
And here it was again, the shakes, threatening to return.
What had it all even meant?
The coffee cup almost rattled against the saucer when he put it back down.
Corsino still smirked at him.
He needed to play it cool, always. But the shakes were coming back.
* * *
His hand shook as he smoked while standing next to Grant outside the abandoned oil rig. Ruiz suppressed it again, taking a long, deep drag from his slim cancer stick.
Grant shook her head, staring at the downed T-Rex.
“Seriously, though,” she said. “How does a bunch o’ trained pros miss a damn T-Rex on live sat imaging?”
Ruiz shrugged again. Blew out smoke.
“Who knows,” he growled. “That lizard snuck up on us, too. Maybe something about the oil fields, tech that’s interfering?”
“Unlikely,” responded a voice on their intercom. Doctor Solomon. His voice crackled with static. He added, “Unlikely the energy companies out here had tech like that in place, let alone leaving anything like that behind when they shuttered operations out here. But—not impossible.”
Carter also growled on the radio. “Speakin’ o’ which. Should we be worried about EMDs settin’ off fires, with the oil around here, and stuff? Seen some—”
“Yes,” replied Doctor Solomon. “Yes, Mister Carter, you should be worried about that. I advise caution whenever wielding your EMDs. I saw several puddles of leakage on the airlift. And given how dry the flora out here is this time of year, one misplaced shot could be a recipe for disaster.”
Carter groaned.
Grant and Ruiz both stared at the cigarette cinched between Ruiz’ black-gloved fingers.
He shook his head, dropped the cigarette, and stamped it out, grinding it under his heel into the dust.
Mischchenko joined them. Her EMD rifle hung from her shoulder by the sling. With her free arm, she held hands with the boy.
“This is Aiden,” she introduced them to the kid.
Aiden only shot them furtive glances. His stares lingered on the futuristic rifles they bore, and he stole glimpses of their fearsome black armored jumpsuits, and the name tags emblazoned on their chests.
“Hey, Aiden,” Grant said. Her voice cracked.
She had a problem with dogs, but not with kids. Immediately felt sorry for this boy, and that sentiment only deepened by the minute.
His was a thousand-mile stare. Blank, hollow, piercing outward from a face caked in dirt and dried blood spatters. Grant had only overheard fragments of Mischchenko’s conversation with the boy.
His family was probably dead. Probably definitely dead. Killed by stampeding dinosaurs. Eaten alive. Traumatic shreds of descriptions had bled through his stammering earlier. Grant hadn’t listened to all of it, and didn’t particularly care for the details. She shuddered at the thought of growing up like Aiden would have to grow up now.
She couldn’t even begin to fathom what kind of therapy he would need. She only found solace in the thought that her work here at Future Proof might ensure her own family never met such a fate.
“There we go,” Doctor Solomon said on the radio, every syllable vibrating with confidence. “The figurative fog has lifted, and we can start reconstructing tracks on satellite visuals. Burch? Burch, come, look at this.”
“Once Max gets here,” Mischchenko told Aiden, “We’ll escort you back to camp. You’re safe now.”
Someone grumbled on the radio. Likely Max Carter. Grant gathered he didn’t care for kids.
Aiden stared blankly up at Mischchenko. His tiny hand in her gloved palm looked feeble. Lifeless. She squeezed, to punctuate her words with earnestness.
Ruiz cleared his throat, and nodded.
“Just listen to whatever Missus Mischchenko here has to say, okay? We’ll take care of the rest.”
He took a knee and rested his Type-3 EMD rifle on his palms in front of the kid, like a knight, presenting his sword to a small king. Ruiz spoke with a surprising calm. Also made Grant wonder if Ruiz had experience with kids, or just younger siblings.
Ruiz said, “It’s lighter than it looks. Go ahead, won’t break easily. Maybe you’re gonna do this kinda work one day, too.”
Aiden hesitated. His eyes flashed. The thousand-mile stare focused on the silvery rifle in Ruiz’s hands.
Slipping out of Mischchenko’s grasp, two small hands shakily grabbed the EMD rifle.

日曜日の雰囲気 (Sunday Vibes) - 4/20/2025
blaze it The dude is recovering nicely after getting the snip, having enjoyed a much needed and well deserved week off of work. No complications and healed flawlessly. The peace of mind for both of us is immeasurable. Women in relationships with men, center the men in your life who step up to protect you and all the other women in his life. Disregard all others. "I didn't let the internet radicalize me! I'm not an incel!" (Cacucu voice) Awesome job, bro!
I am in full-blown gacha burnout. Pokemon Go got bought out by Scopely so that's about to go downhill fast and I only open it to do daily stop/catch. Pokemon Masters has gone full pay-to-play, is plagued by powercreep, and saving enough free gems to pull for a character without spending money is impossible (not to mention that PMEX is no longer DeNA's "favorite child" and development is taking a backseat to other games). FGO's Draco event was peak but opening the game and glancing at the Lostbelt 7 button fills me with dread. Participation in FEH is purely casual. Uma Musume's ENG release is possibly arriving sooner than we think now that English character intros are being posted and I'm genuinely excited about that, but like every other game I've played the last few years, I predict I'll hyperfixate on that until I find something to complain about with that as well. Pattern recognition in tandem with self-awareness sucks. On the upside, the aforementioned burnout has prompted me to finally get off my ass and start doing more constructive things with my time that don't involve vidya. I've been tinkering around with the WS4000 to indulge my lifelong weather autism. I might start livestreaming local forecasts, but I won't be doing on that on the regular until 1.) I make sure my PC can handle that on the reg and 2.) I get a proper feel for the damn thing and how it operates. You know, I think I've touched on this subject before here but with Genshin I feel like something's wrong with me for being more or less completely indifferent to Natlan; I'm more or less just getting 100% exploration done to bide my time until Snezhnaya. Some say "it's okay to just not like something" but on the internet of all places, you do end up being asked to defend yourself with sound reasons eventually, don't you? Nobody asked, but I'm explaining myself anyway. I don't dislike anything about it except maybe the clunky saurian indwelling shit (the babby dinosaurs are cute but of course I find them cute, us autists love dinosaurs). In the words of Karl Pilkington, "it just doesn't buzz me". Fontaine's underwater areas were dazzlingly gorgeous and the music was beautiful. I shamelessly weebed out in Inazuma even though I fucking hated its puzzles. Even Mondstadt's Fachwerkbauweise buildings and "basic" fields-and-trees was cozy af. Natlan is just entirely comprised of an aesthetic that I don't find interesting. In addition to that, I'm not an active participant in the "Natlan Is Mid" discourse. I don't care about the story's sloppy writing or Mavuika being a mary sue. I don't give a bear's last shit about reviving GOATHIMTANO like my other comrades on r/Fatui. Some of the areas are interesting (fuck the volcano tho), some of the music tracks slap. That's it. There is no objectively correct "what is the best region" answer because everyone likes different things. Motherland now please.
ACEN 2025 is in a month. I'll probably commission the Assassin cosplay for Anime Midwest. I've never had embroidery mad skills; most of my previous cosplays were cobbled together using either old clothes, newly bought clothes, or stuff from thrift stores and I doubt I'll find anything like the stuff she wears in stores. I used to have no reservations about cosplaying as obscure or underappreciated characters because it was that much more rewarding when someone recognized them or appreciated you for "representing" them, but now that I'm getting up there in years, my mindset is "this had better be worth it". Part of me wonders if I should stop entirely, but Taokaka got so much praise that experiences like that alone keep me going.

The Archon observes his reaction, finding the cautious curiosity to be mildly amusing. This kind of reaction would not be seen in Teyvat, where people know of the Saurians and accept them. It might even be considered a rather disrespectful reaction, not that Belial partially taking on this shape for the time being isn't disrespectful either. Even though the dragon-bearer was the one who suggested it, he still certainly feels insulted in watching part of himself behaving like a mere animal. The moon scion, however, finds Belial's conundrum only adding to his amusement.
'' This is a Tatankasaur Whelp, and her name is Zuka. She's still quite young, so she will form a close bond with you if given proper care. As adults, they are both fast and strong, so she will prove useful to you as a protector. ''
As Kuzco passes the duty of processing requests and other such things off, the god can't help but groan under his breath. It seems trying to coach this Emperor who lacks a strong sense of responsibility to his people will take more than mere nudges. His self-centered worldview is just as frustrating, if the other leader actually has a grand hall specifically built for him as praise. For the disguised puppet, even Kuzco's willingness to bring a complete stranger deeper into the palace is illogical. Perhaps he is a foreign spy getting a sense of the building's layout so as to find a perfect entrance for an assassination. Or he could intend to get the Emperor alone to kill him, then usurp this nation. Despite his concern with the other's clear lack of fear of a stranger, the Archon finds himself following along regardless with near-silent footsteps and the graceful illusion of gliding rather than walking.
Watching the other descend from the throne, the masked god finds himself rather surprised by the willingness to approach a stranger from a distant land instead of having a designated room for recieving gifts and foreign guests. Moreover, the assumption that all the gifts would be for himself specifically... Perhaps this place has different rules, but one would still expect a degree of caution beyond guards moving closer, especially when facing a potential threat one is unaware of the abilities of.
Gloved hands emerge from the opening in the purple cloth, a leash leading to a small fluffy quadraped with large horns that was not there a moment before that is nudging its way out from under the bottom of the cloak. The green-and-purple being sniffs around curiously, looking at Kuzco before making a few chuffing sounds and toddling over clumsily.
'' I have also brought various ores and weaponry from my homeland, Japan. If you happen to have a room for receiving guests, I am more than happy to wait in there while you finish your duties, Your Highness. ''

SAURIAN OF THE DAY!
NAME:
Punje
SPECIES:
Yumkasaurus
AGE:
Adult
PERSONALITY:
Punje is a passive Yumkasaur that enjoys napping much of the time. He keeps the whelps out of trouble when he's awake, distracting them with demonstrations of how to use Flamegranate Pectin.
He never bites, but we'd prefer if visitors still respect his boundaries and treat him properly.
FAVORITE FOODS:
Sweet Quenepa Berries are his favorite, so we grow them year-round in a climate-controlled greenhouse for the convenience of visitors who want to give him a treat at the playpen.

DAILY SAURIAN FUN FACT!
Qucusaurs, despite their bright red coloration, are the descendants of Anemo Vishaps and thus, related to the dragon Dvalin in Mondstadt! How cool is that?

Week #11
71. Cap'n Sharpbeard's Cutlery: A small pirate themed knife shop. The many multifunctional army knives and cutting knives have either beautiful mother of pearl handles, or hand whittled wooden ones, each depicting pirate life. As this is a family friendly shop, all blades are butterknives.
72. Larder Leather And Accessories Shoppe: A shop where you can buy clothes and various gear. The clothes are from the ψrpents's Larder subculture, but fitted for beings with legs and arms. The Larder Subculture is about wearing leather jackets, make your hair slick with a lardlike substance, and look threateningly cool while being really, really nice.
73. Traditional GoLf gOlF (Mini): A swampy miniature golf course. These are usually ran by Ness Kelps, but none are around, in fact, the staff is missing. It also known to have a fairylike atmosphere of utter serenity...
74. Garden Of Smiles: A quaint floweship, built in the base of a disused tower. Its decoration and shape is reminiscent of the Garden Of Teeth from Planet Golden Teeth, with similar content. The Mountain Whales who own it provide in depth training about taking care of the various plants, such as how to take them for a walk, and what do they eat.
75. The None Seeing Eye: A small apartment in a complex hosting a support group for oracles. Led by ψrpents twins (from the variant with less eyes and precognitive and psychometric powers) teach the other members that no matter what they see, everything will be alright. They also do arts and crafts as therapy.
76. Blagged Pipe Club: A small apartment in the same building as above, hosting a Public Bagpipe Learning Club. The walls are covered with extreme noise insulation, not letting any annoying noise inside while they are practicing! They also won't let any noise outside, only when people ask them to do so, which is often.
77. Auro-Geological Education Center: A museum about mining rocks, and gold. The Mine Mites that run it also supply a real rock strata full of fake precious rocks, to provide an afternoon of relaxed, mineshaft collapseless digging. The Saurian cats of Paradox really enjoy playfully digging for the toy ores, using nothing but their bare claws.
