heehee hoohoo persona au thoughts

i'm copy-pasting these directly from my notes doc so they're a lil messy, i'm hoping to do some sketches of the crew/Maybe work on persona designs this weekend :V

something something it’s chris’s (and jimmy’s) first year of college, martin’s already entering grad school here and aviva and koki are roommates (dating? who knows. they sure dont). 

aviva and koki are entering their senior year and part of aviva’s undergraduate thesis is developing some sort of invention idk – she wants to tap into the energy that can be drawn from ley lines (assuming they’re an actual thing in this world idfk) and convert it into an actual usable resource. kiiiiind of a huge undertaking for a fuckin undergrad final but cmon, this is aviva we’re talking about. girl’s gonna invent a TIME MACHINE in like 4-5 years’ time

anyway something goes wrong during the experimentation phase and it creates some sort of rupture in the ley lines, something something it opens up a tear in spacetime and creates this au’s shadow world

aviva doesn’t actually know this is what happened when the machine first malfunctions. shit doesn’t actually start picking up until a few weeks into the semester

anyway meanwhile chris and jimmy are college freshmen, chris meets koki and aviva through martin and the four of them hang out for a while.

the bros help aviva look for koki after she didn’t come back to the apartment for a few days; normally she lets her know if she’s gonna be gone for a while but this time aviva’s heard absolutely nothing from her

their investigation is what kicks off the whole shebang cause martin like. “trips” over a corrupted ley line and it ends up causing all three of them to fall into the shadow world. they realize koki’s trapped in there as well and with the help of a little creature named jovian(!!) they work together to rescue her and get everybody home (it’s during this little operation that the bros awaken their personas)

after that whole thing aviva revisits her lab notes and realizes. uh oh. this might be my fault. and god she feels terrible about it and she has absolutely no idea what to do and like. it’s not like they can take this to the police or anything cause what the hell are they gonna do about any of this? so from the looks of things it might be up to her to reverse what she accidentally caused

koki is the first one to jump on board and INSIST her help for aviva in any way she can. she and the bros saved her life this is the least she can do for her best friend and roomie. martin and chris agree to help out too (considering the whole persona thing and the fact that they’re seemingly the only ones able to communicate with jovian from the real world – for now)

jimmy comes in during some side plot where koki like, runs into him a few times throughout the semester before he ends up getting tangled up in the shadow world stuff too. jimmy’s persona awakens after the party has to go in and rescue him after he fell in

anyway most of this story is the party working together to keep the shadow world at bay while aviva keeps working on a reversal process. every now and then a corrupted ley line will appear somewhere around the city/ campus and the crew will have to defeat the shadow manifesting inside it / rescue whatever poor passerby fell in

there’s also a subplot with zach and his rivalry with aviva? i wanna include the other villains as well but im not sure where to put them just yet

and yes, mcc isn’t school but they are run by people with COMPASSION. and the willingness to make changes if they see how badly affected some of their players are? like, they’ve made changes to buildmart before, notably the subtitle that pops up n shows what the name of a block is when u go near to it! and that’s great! but some of you are acting like it’s laughable to want different/further changes upon review? its like giving someone a monocle and then laughing when they say ‘these help, but i think having something like prescription glasses can help even more’ and when people say shit like ‘god, x just affects a minority of the players. most of them are just fine’ DO YOU HEAR… YOURSELF

i don’t think i need to recontextualize that sentiment to show how devoid of awareness that is. who cares? who cares if the only issue w buildmart is how it disproportionately affects people with colorblindness and the only colorblind player was george? (he isn’t. btw. but he arguably has the worst case of colorblindness) or that buildmart disproportionately affects people w adhd n there was only one player who had it? scream and cry about how it’s not that deep all you want, i KNOW so many of the people who tried to mock me didn’t watch any of the povs i was talking about. like didn’t some of y’all cry about how parkour warrior supposedly gave someone a panic attack? if that’s valid criticism then (which i think it is! i do think that parkour warrior became flawed after all the difficulty reworks and if it was so upsetting to certain people then a rework of the game is needed) why isn’t any of this stuff valid now? and why is it so hard to believe that someone also had a similar reaction playing build mart?

and another thing. like i see ‘oh if it bothers you so much then don’t play mcc? every game gives u anxiety should they remove every game then?’ like look. i have anxiety and adhd. anxiety is Not neurodivergency. there is a big difference between an entire event being a huge trigger and giving you panic attacks at every potential turn and 1-2 games that you physically are unable to play like a neurotypical person because your brain structure prevents from doing things that could be CHANGED to help you and others like you. if someone just can’t handle the pressure of a competitive event like mcc and it makes them crack and suffer bouts of anxiety that is a Health issue. it is a health issue and if they want to step aside from something that hurts them in its Entirety, then that’s fine. but if someone can’t find sand blocks n cracked gold blocks bc they can’t detect the differentials in the shades of the colors n all that would need to be done was perhaps. changing the colors to be much more distinct or the textures of the blocks to be easier to identify without color then… why can’t people Want that. why can’t people ask for that

i understand! that people are being toxic and rude n overshadowing people’s victories n perhaps even shitting on the people that won on like, twitter or something. i get if you’re mad that people on dttwt are sending hate or something like that! but this isn’t twitter! i never once implied that mcc was a bad event or was being run by bad evil mean people who rig the whole thing. don’t take your grievances out on me! don’t interpret my posts in bad faith and then cower and cry wolf when u find out people who see sense are willing to stand up for me! and if u wanted to see if i was complaining about the winners of this mcc like some people were after the last few mccs as well then you could’ve scrolled down my blog and looked at my other posts instead of having weird preconceived notions about what i am or what i stand for. its possible to feel happy for others’ success while still wanting changes to be made to certain games. like. survival games gave mcc15 red rabbits the win. but i still think that the point system needed to be reworked after that bc it gave too many coins. u can be happy and still think things can change/improve to be more fair/make the event better. which is what noxcrew DOES. they want to make changes not because they think they’ll get hate if they don’t but because they care about their event being good and they have integrity about it and that’s why they take feedback on this stuff all the time. ultimately, the decisions they make as event organizers and minecraft developers are theirs, but it doesn’t mean people can’t speak their minds

I have 2 ideas for the end: either the readers goes out and points a gun to her head or she points it to Raven. Either way, Bellamy stops her. So I was thinking could you right something on the marauders (Sirius x reader) were it’s full moon and they’re in the muggle world. Moony is stuck in the middle of a village, there is a lot of muggle around him so the reader (who is an animagus too since she’s a marauder) save him but finish hurt by a villager so Sirius protect her and carry her away? She is such an innocent and her heart breaks when she sees the cruelty of the world but she trudges on anyway. Most of the time, if there is an ugly girl gets the hot guy trope, she either turns beautiful or is a side character who dates a really dumb hot guy but she will never be physically beautiful (nor is Jaime dumb XD). I enjoy her morals greying in the books a lot and learning more about reality. I just love that she’s a mix of shy but tough, mannish but girly. I think she’s a character who breaks gender stereotypes. Something about a mannish but straight girl just makes me giddy. Just be who the fuck you wanna be and damn what other people think.

He is unbelievably complex character. What I love about him is that he wants to be good but he tends to be surrounded by evil. Still, in his own way, he tries to do the right thing with his current shitty situation (such as using his bad reputation to make trebuchet threat believable in order to take Riverrun without bloodshed). Honestly, I aspire to be like him in that respect. I want to constantly strive to be a better person despite being in shitty situations.

I just find myself defending these two a lot.

For Jaime, I don’t defend his mistakes but rather his person. Like yes, he has made mistakes but he is trying his best to be a better person and do what is best for the realm with what he has. (basically my rant about him above) HE’S MORE THAN JUST CERSEI’S LAPDOG/ATTEMPTED CHILD MURDERER.

Sansa, I feel, is underrated because she doesn’t fight, retort to violence, or uses her sensuality, and the fact that she seems to do “nothing”. I find her development realistic because she’s the one who’s most sheltered and naive. I think Sansa’s mind is ike in inertia. It was easier for the others to adjust their mindset because they have faced harshness, Sansa’s mind is in a constant spin and once her life turned to shit, she wasn’t prepared so she’d be the most naive of all. But anyway, she learned.
