O destino tirou o carioca Ricardo Leite da carreira de promissor desenhista de histórias em quadrinhos para transformá-lo em um dos designers mais respeitados e conhecidos do país. Principalmente na área musical, onde se consagrou ao longo de 40 anos por ter feito mais de mil capas de discos – inclusive de bandas como Legião Urbana, Paralamas do Sucesso, Biquini Cavadão e artistas como Erasmo Carlos e Zé Ramalho. Até que, em fevereiro de 2013, após visitar o Museu Hergé (criador do herói juvenil Tintin), Leite decidiu fazer uma graphic novel para contar sua paixão pelos quadrinhos. O resultado é a já celebrada autobiografia em quadrinhos Em busca do Tintin Perdido, que levou 9,5 anos para ficar pronta. Marco dos quadrinhos brasileiros e acompanhada com ansiedade por milhares de seguidores nas redes sociais ao longo de anos, finalmente a obra sai em álbum de luxo com capa dura simultaneamente na França e no Brasil – onde Leite escolheu a Editora Noir para ter a honra de capitanear uma narrativa tão pessoal pela afinidade que tem com sua linha editorial. No próximo ano, ganhará edição holandesa. Em Busca do Tintin perdido associa um desenho digno dos maiores mestres, composições gráficas renovadas incessantemente e um relato inventivo e original. Na apresentação da edição francesa, o estudioso de HQ Olivier Roche destaca que o álbum é uma referência explícita ao romance de Marcel Proust e, como “fantasia autobiográfica”, quer ser uma reflexão psicológica sobre a arte dos Quadrinhos, a memória e o tempo. Três eventos - um encontro faltoso da infância com Hergé nos anos 1970, um golpe do destino em 3 de março de 1983 e uma emocionante viagem à Bélgica para uma visita a Bruxelas e ao Museu Hergé em 2013 - conduziram o autor a tecer os fios de uma grandiosa homenagem à arte mundial dos Quadrinhos. Ilustrador, artista gráfico, designer, CEO da agência de comunicação Crama Design Estratégico, tem desenvolvido vários projetos para marcas brasileiras e internacionais. Nos anos 70 e 80, publicou diversos gibis. Ele também assinou centenas de capas de álbuns para grandes artistas da música brasileira. Colecionador de arte e de quadrinhos, seu sonho sempre foi tornar-se um autor de HQ. Cerca de dez anos atrás, esta paixão pela nona arte levou Ricardo Leite "a procurar o Tintin perdido". Este trabalho, que é amplamente seguido nas redes sociais, lhe rendeu a insígnia de Cavaleiro da Ordem da Coroa do Reino da Bélgica (Decreto Real de 20 de janeiro de 2021).

A more serious piece. This one here took me over 40 hours, more or less, and I wanted to show some details and parts of the process.

This work has a story behind, which you can find at the end of this post.

>first, She took away their golden eyes,

>second, She made the angel they loved forget everything about them except their name,

>third, She forbid the fallen angel to speak their true name.>>

I had the thought that Aziraphale and "Crowley", whichever name they had before the falling, were already in love in Heaven.

"Crowley" was punished (for whatever reasons God had to punish them) and therefore he lost everything they had: the golden marks of angels (their eyes), their true name and the love of their life

God played with the fallen angel's hopes telling them their lover would recognize them again if they heard the fallen angel's true name. However, She took their ability to speak their true name and crushed their hopes.

You could say God opened a window... and closed a door.

At Eden Crawley adopts a new name, based in their new nature, with cinism. They loathes their snake eyes and their black wings, but they wears them proudly out of spite in front of the angel they approach without hesitation because they already know them.

In the end, it didn't matter the banishment of God because it was destiny for them to fall in love with each other once and again...

Or maybe it was part of Her greater plan.

In this drawing I wanted to represent the moment before the punishment of God, where Aziraphale haven't been condemned to oblivion yet and hugs a crying angel whose wings are beggining to blacken and has lost their halo. Satan in snake form has come to take them.
