Self-love Spell Jar

This is a basic spell jar for self-love. It can be made with things you probably already have in your house.

NOTE:

• Make sure to cleanse the container before adding the ingredients;

• White candle can substitute any color candle;

• Rosemary can substitute any herb;

• You can add or remove ingredients as you want, remember to follow the ingredient's correspondence;

• Always set your intention;

I want to say something about spell jars

Why do we put our manifestations, goals, or desired outcome in a jar that we then seal and forget? Won't that just seal the idea away...?

This is no hate or judgement, I have been an avid jar user cause fuck I love a good but after reflecting and mediating with my self love jar I made back in October when I was first assessed for mental health treatment.

I knew what I needed was self love and acceptance but I didn't want to actually get better but I could make a cool looking jar with the intention of self love anyways.

So I made a jar, actually in a beautiful crystal sweets bowl and I vowed to never opened it till I loved myself.

I opened it last week, it still smells and looks beautiful, I changed the note, I cleansed it and changed or added a few more things and now keep the lid half off.

So this experience has changed my mind on spell jars.

I only seal something I want to keep or already have/feel and want to keep it around or vice versa, a spell jar to hex a mental illness perhaps...

I have more exploring of this idea but I wanted to share so I remember to write it in BOS :)

Self - Confidence and Self - Love

Was having some trouble pep talking myself. There are times when I feel super confident and comfortable in my body and then there are times that I find everything to compare...I don't like being there and usually I can tell myself to stop being silly...

I was having more difficulty that carried over into the morning so I decided to use the universe for assistance. This would be the first time since I started my witchy journey that I have asked for something for me. I created a shower satchel and hung it up in shower with me and a spell jar for self love and self confidence to hang in my space.

Chamomile - soothing, self acceptance, self confidence

Lavender flower - inner peace, self confidence

Lemongrass - promote openness, cleansing, sexuality

Small yellow circle felt pad - yellow for joy, positive energy

Rose quartz - calming, love, self confidence

Spell Jar

Red rose buds - love, beauty

Lemongrass oil and flowers - promote openness, cleansing, sexuality

Lavender oil and herb - inner peace, self confidence

Full Moon water

Purple/Reddish wax

I used the satchel in the shower and imagined those feelings of confidence and sensuality wash over me...it also smelled great 😃

The spell jar is hanging inside of my witchy work space to remind me that I am confident and that the most important love is self love 💕

What goes in:

Salt (i used pink salt 🩷)

rose petals ~ bringing love + strengthening relationship w/ self

baby's breath ~ purification of negative energy

orange peel ~ attracting love + happiness

lavender ~ promotes love, tranquility, + happiness

thyme ~ attracts loyalty + love

cinnamon ~ spell success + power

paper + pen (pink or red ink if you have it)

pink, red, or white ribbon/string

pink, red, or white candle

(optional) include cloves to banish internalized feelings of negativity/self hate/putting yourself down

(optional) adding seashells to incorporate the element water, as well as correspondence to Aphrodite if you worship her or want to call on her for your jar

Begin by cleansing your tools + space! Use an incense you love, a bell, clapping, or whatever way you like to cleanse. Don't forget the inside of your jar!

I chose a bigger jar for this spell so that i could hold it in both hands when i use it. Using your paper and pen, write out an affirmation that you feel resonates. I really like:

" I love my body, i love my mind, i love every piece of myself "

once you've written out your affirmation, roll the paper toward you to bring in that energy of self-love. Then, tie a piece of ribbon or string around it in whatever way feels ~aesthetic~ to you. personally, i went with a little bow 🎀

If you enjoy enchanting your herbs, do that before putting them in the jar. One by one, add your herbs while keeping your mind focused on positive, loving thoughts. If you can, list things you love about yourself, and, if you cant, focus on things around you/in your life or nature that you love.

lastly, drop in your affirmation and close your jar. Use your candle to seal it, and, if you want to, place some flowers/petals in the wax as it cools.

shake the jar to activate the energy of your spell and intention whenever you need a little extra love. I like to keep mine by my mirror/vanity.

Friday workings with Aphrodite <3

We did a self-love and self-improvement bowl today. Pretty crystals, a cinnamon stick, a feather, a seashell, rose petals, quartz, and lemon balm. This was done atop a mirror with the Erotes’ statue and Aphrodite’s statue nearby. Next to Aphrodite is her oil, her candle, and a radical self-love and attraction spell I did a year or two ago.

New Years Eve and New Years Day Spell Work

I've been very compelled to be witchy with our Black Moon (Double New Moon) on the 30th and the need to refresh and restart.

I got a lot of ideas (and did many):

I needed to refresh my ❤️ love, connection, relationship ❤️ jar for my wife and myself.

I also wanted to make a New Years manifestation spell jar.✨️

So I set to work on both - including a custom-made sigil for being happy in our relationship.

I'm very pleased with how they both turned out! Even with a cork fire 🔥 on my New Years jar 😆
