I think I've made an observation about selena white moon (h56). It shows the types of people that accepted you and made you feel included, or in what way you have felt accepted. For example I have it conjunct vesta in the 11th house, and fans (vesta) on the internet (11th house) have saved me by making me feel accepted. Before I made friends with Futurama fans on the internet I was extremely lonely and had no friends at all.

My sister has selena conjunct her sun and she seems to just be accepted by everyone as she is (have always been jealous of her tbh)

My bf has my name asteroid (the asteroid with my first name) opposite his selena and he feels pretty unaccepted by society because he is autistic and poor but I accept him.

One of my internet friends is also a weirdo that often doesn't feel accepted and he has selena trine sappho/vesta (conjunction) (sappho = friends, vesta = fans) and he is such a fan boy and does fan conventions and stuff, so he was saved by being accepted by fans like I was.

It would be such a hilarious situation, because I want Selena to come to the realization of her growing feelings and being aggressively against them. And at some point, she actually starts opening up about them to Belos, and maybe tries testing the waters because she's so frustrated, but at the end she panics and blurts out a name from a book she once read when her uncle sneaked her in to the forbidden stacks - "That guy I'd kinda be in to is...Philip?"

Belos' internal screams could be heard all through the isles despite being silent.

I'm putting a note on that idea oh goodness.

Not sure about a Masquerade, even tho I am such a fan of them sigh, but there is a big scene somewhat similar to this coming up - there is a big event in the future with the two of them I had planed for so long - The Coven Day Parade.

Librarian Miguel x Flower Shop Owner

hopefully this will be me getting back into writing since i took a break from it lol (this was done in 30-40 minutes at 2am so sorry if it isnt too high quality) ˚ʚ♡ɞ��

In the little rural town of Nueva, there was a library, it was owned and operated by the single hottest man in town, and probably the whole state, Miguel O’Hara. 

Miguel O’Hara was a simple man really, he ironed his clothes, did sudoku on the train and ate a bagel with light cream cheese, an assortment of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries every morning every day for breakfast. 

He took his coffee dark with the littlest splash of cream and one sugar cube. Two sugar cubes would be just reckless. Coffee could be substituted with Camellia flower tea when he was out of coffee, peppermint for when he had a migraine.

All the women in town would sing his praises to another. Little was known about him besides that after the death of his daughter he moved to Nueva and opened his library. In front of his library was a small community garden and a bench dedicated to his dear daughter by the double doors. 

No one brought it up, no one asked, and he liked it that way. He liked the simplicity of Nueva. The air was cleaner, the people there warmer and the ringing in his ears seemingly disappeared when he moved there. 

He liked to keep his library neat and tidy, he had plenty of rules set in place to follow…children's books in the front and adult books in the back. The spicer content was shelved by the cook books so no kids found them. You are to only use the various lamps in the library, never the big light. It totally ruined the cozy atmosphere he had set up. 

Jazz, Frank Sinatra, and Selena Quintanilla was the only music allowed to be played, he didn’t like any other types of music. Coffee was free as long as you returned your mug to the table his coffee maker was on once you were done. No talking louder than a whisper, and only pet the library cat if you had all your shots. That was mostly a joke, but Miguel didn’t want people who weren’t up to date on their immunizations touching his cat.

It was almost closing time, and there were only a few people left. The familiar cast of characters Miguel had come to know now wandering the maze of shelves. Ben Riley was using one of the community monitors. Sending emails back and forth to his girlfriend in Canada. Only god knew if she was real or not.

When Miguel asked why Ben just bought his own laptop or computer to converse with his girlfriend, Ben explained he didn’t want to go through the trouble of setting up a laptop when he could just walk to the library to use one for free.

Miguel couldn’t help but hold back the fattest eye roll known to man when he heard that.

Peter Parker was looking for cookbooks for the dinner he was gonna make to win his ex wife back. Stressing over the perfect dish to make as young Mayday Parker debated whether she wanted to check out GoodNight Moon or Skippyjon Jones for her bedtime story tonight.

Then there was Pavitr Prabhakar and Gayatri Singh. Debatably his most adorable regulars. Miguel would watch the two teenagers stumble through their awkward study dates, he couldn't help but feel the littlest bit proud of Pav when he finally worked up the courage and kissed her. 

But his favorite, hands down, was you. You owned the little flower shop across the street from his library next to the bakery. On the opening, you had brought him a bunch of sunflowers tied with a pearl white ribbon as a gift. He didn't have the heart to tell her that he was actually allergic to sunflowers and graciously took the generous gift with a stuffy nose and kind smile.

You would come waltzing in, batting your eyelashes like you were auditioning for a mascara commercial. At first he had no interest in romance, but you were just so…kind, caring, loving, compassionate. You were so slow and soft spoken, giving him the space he needed while he grieved and was there afterwards to hug him and dry his tears. 

At the beginning, you’d only stop by and help him in the library or check out a novel or two, but as you became a frequent visitor, you stopped coming just to help him…and started coming just to see him.

He remembered how one day, you had arrived at the library as usual. A perplexed look on your darling face with your hands behind your back. You had spent all of the night before carefully crafting a special bouquet of lilies and tulips. Making sure there wasn't anything in it he was allergic to.

After dancing around the subject, you had slowly confessed her feelings to him. 

The next hour was spent in the back room of the library. Feverishly groping another and kissing frantically, your glasses kept sliding against each other’s as you both ran to rip each other's clothes off another's bodies.

Miguel was still that simple man he was all those years ago when he moved to the sleepy town of Nueva. The idea of building a real relationship with someone scared him from how many times he'd been hurt in the past and the fresh wounds from the death of his child.

Someone to tell all the things he’s learned from the regulars at the library. He told you about Ben getting catfished, Peter winning MJ over with homemade ratatouille and a promise, about Pav and Gayatri’s kiss while the both of you snuggled up on the couch over a bottle of strawberry wine.

You'd both started the relationship a little rocky, not knowing whether this was right with the things Miguel was working through then. But it soon proved to be the best decision either of you could have made. 

He had your wedding picture next to Gabriela's school picture day portrait on his desk. 

His favorite parts of his day were when you’d walk from your shop to the library on your lunch break to eat together, and in the evenings when he'd read the book you were currently reading out loud to you, before going to sleep together. 

He was still that simple man, but now he’d share his bagels with you. He’d offer to iron your clothes for you, and even when you didn’t understand, he showed you how to play sudoku on the long train rides. Even though you were just nodding along to hear him talk about something he enjoyed.

The energy of the highest self that came to me for this section of the collective is very light and airy, but I can feel the depth under the surface. You may be a water sign or have prominent water placements (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) as well as Libra placements. Also, three, six, and nine may be significant. You’ve been struggling with letting a certain manipulative energy go. I wouldn’t say they’re masculine or feminine because I feel like they’re really just a narcissist and they aren’t aligning with anything specific because that would limit how they can utilize control. They’re manipulative, thinks with the wrong head, and drains your wallet. I see you’re still focused on what could be versus what is. Your shadow is there to protect you and help you blend into ‘darker’ energies, but I don’t feel like I’m talking to someone of ‘dark’ energy or anything like that. You’re not a bad person for being a little spiteful or petty, but your higher self is asking you to let go of this energy that’s holding you back and step into a period of color. Bridge the gap within yourself and realize while being human is complex, respecting yourself is not. Who cares if you’re single or have to leave friends or family behind? When you have yourself, you’re not alone. I see that you’ve spent a lot of your life being forced to believe that you’re less than what you truly are. You’ve had people come in and out of your life and always assumed that the only common denominator is you, so that means you’re the problem. You aren’t. I wouldn’t say that on a whim because accountability for your actions is the base of being a decent human, but it feels like everytime you mess up you take responsibility for it. You own up to what you’ve done and you try to make amends I see that recently, there was a situation with a longtime friend where you had to finally put your foot down. They were purposefully putting you down and blocking what is rightfully yours (manifestations and things that are divinely yours). Heavy on the leech energy. You may have never been in a relationship or only have had kinda halfway relationships (situationships, friendships with unclear boundaries). Or you just overly romanticize toxic situations and relationships due to your upbringing and have no real concept of a healthy relationship. You’ve spent a lot of your life believing that you’re unlovable, Pile Two. And that’s just not the case. You’ve been able to cut out the bull from people trying to siphon off of your energy and get back to what is really important, you’ll be able to focus on yourself and learn to truly love and uplift yourself. (Same hehe) This energy is a bit overwhelmingly sexual, but then once I started pulling more and more I realized you seem to use your sexuality as a front or overly sexualize yourself. But!! Welcome, Pile Four! I’ve never read for this collective and it was honestly a tougher one! This collective is very secretive and was kind talking in riddles a lot. I had to kinda piece things together like a puzzle! What I got from your higher self is that you’re in a crone era of your life, so you’re probably a bit older and towards the ‘end’ of your life. Meaning, you don’t have those super hard life lessons as much as you used to in the maiden or mother days! You’ve integrated all parts of yourself and you know when to utilize your shadow aspects and your light aspects! Today, I felt like I was supposed to just give you a warning about a potential false guru or prophet. Someone is pretending to be something they aren’t. It may be a group or you’ve known this person from the time they were a child to adulthood. They’re coming out as court-cards swords reversed (King, Knight, and Page as mentioned above.) They could be wishing you harm or trying to do something behind your back to drain you. I do feel like you’ve already pinpointed who this is and you’re well aware of what to do next. Otherwise, there was mention of another young person who seems similar to this swords person. They’re more creative, less vindictive, and have a passionate spark for life (King + Page of Wands), or they might be connected to this person in some way! Like a child or something like that! White Moon Selena in the Signs

I’m not traditionally a fan of using too many asteroids while looking at a chart. I mostly look at Chiron and Lilith, but even those often don’t have much of an impact unless they aspect a personal planet or any other significant point in a chart. 

Fixed stars or other hypothetical astrological points in my opinion are mostly of relevance if they make strong aspects, mostly to inner planets. White Moon Selena serves as an opposition to Black Moon Lilith per the yin and yang principle. Of course you can observe some subtle effects of Selena on your life even if it has no significant aspects, and knowledge of Selena can enrich you nevertheless but I would pay special attention if Selena conjuncts your Sun, Moon or critical points in the chart - the AC, IC, DC, MC. Also, look at your Selena if you have an active Lilith - it may become the antidote, especially if your life is filled with a toxic expression of Lilith themes you want to heal from.

Recommended articles to look at, especially if you compare all those placements in your chart - Selena, Moon and Lilith, like the first article advises you to. Mine are all part of a water trine - Cancer Moon, Scorpio Selena and Pisces Lilith, but it looks different for everyone depending on your natal chart of course. I thought it was very interesting how it creates an emotional/karmic cycle and paints a picture of a person in that regard - especially as a woman, it could be interesting to you. For a man, it would be a representation of women and divine feminine in his life. 

Sadly, there is very little information to be found about Selena. The best Selena in the signs website I have found is down and needs to be accessed using the web archive. The link I posted below is a little glitchy. For this reason, I decided to copy the text to this post for easier access. 

This is also why I want to ask you - if you have any significant Selena aspects, please reblog with your own information on your experience, I’m really curious how Selena actively manifests in people’s charts. 

For my part, I can talk about my own examples. Both are Scorpio Rising. I have a very prominent Selena, thus my interest in this astrological placement - for me it conjuncts my Sun, Pluto and Ascendant in the 1st house and squares my MC, pretty tight degrees too. First of all, quite literally, I wear a lot of white/off-white clear colors. I have other chart modificators that show a preference for a black/white aesthetic but I have had people comment that clear colors suit me because they bring out something in me and I “look like an angel in white”. It might seem trivial, but for contrast, people with prominent Black Moon Lilith often love a gothic/punk/rebellious aesthetic. So here you can see the opposite of that - some form of ‘purity’ - since it concerns my image and body in my case it impacts clothing style, but this theme will show in other areas depending on your placement. I’m also very physically sensitive to fabrics I wear and foods I consume and I easy get skin reactions if exposed to something suffocating in a fabric or unhealthy foods, basically anything that influences my physical body, and my distress literally has visible symptoms since it aspects the public AC and MC. Another example - Selena in Gemini in the 8th. I find this to be a very sexual placement in a Scorpio rising chart since both Gemini and 8th house are linked to that. This makes the person very bothered by what they perceive as “sexual impurities” in this world, since they have such a “pure” streak inside them in that department - that may result in sensitivity/disgust with pornography or abuse themes, even in fiction. Of course we all feel some level of discomfort, even if these themes have not been present in our lives, but with Selena here there is extra purity and sensitivity. What other people are laughing off, they may feel strong discomfort about. Same as for me in the 1st house, lower vibrational foods may not do anything to some people, but they physically upset me. The person with Selena in Gemini themselves, while expressing the 8th house energy may be very keen on sexual reciprocity, sensitivity and consensual discussion and agreement here.

All of this sensitivity wherever Selena is placed exists because a person is used to a higher vibrational energy, coming as a result of work from past lives and higher dimensions. Thus when exposed to lower vibrational energy on Earth, it can be painful in that given area. This is hard because human beings often react with lower vibrational energies - it is a given on this planet. Even a person with active Selena will also show lower energies, coming from their other placements, since they are human too after all. However, for myself with such a strong Selena I can tell I upset myself when I know I could have done better. So you end up upset even with your own lower vibrational behaviors, and the growth can be frustrating. However, Selena also assists with growth from higher dimensional energies, so there is assistance on this path. “You’re a rotten bitch,” Valda said, voice trembling as Rieka stepped away from her hunched and shackled form, the whip in her hand stained with blood. “May the Great Mother have mercy on you, you wretched thing, for I won’t be so kind.” 

Blood dripped and ebbed down her raw back, the trails cooling into a thick and tacky liquid. The pool of copper and crimson beneath her grew larger and larger as the days passed on, the scent of metal permanent and gagging. Her wrists and neck, rubbed raw by the ever-present, too-tight cuffs and collar, maintained permanent scars and stains as new wounds opened and old wounds reopened everyday.

Rieka tilted her head to the side, eying her. “Should I relay this to Selena? Let her know the sweet little bride she claimed from Weitheim still has a sour mouth on her?” She knelt down before her, her nails digging into her skin as she gripped her chin and forced her to meet her gaze. “How much longer do you think you’d be down here if she heard these words? A fortnight? A moon? Two moons if she’s grown frustrated, perhaps?”

With what little strength she held onto, Valda spat in her face. A fat glob of bloodied spit landed on her cheek and dripped down, following the sharp contours of her cheekbone and concave cheek. “I’ll kill you both. Flay you, boil you, cook you over a fire, even slit your throats just to be done with it.”

Rieka wiped the spit away with the back of her hand and cleaned it off in what little hair Valda had grown out since the shearing. “I’m certain you will. Why, I’m terrified! Great Mother, hark! Rescue me from Valda the Vacuous! Save Queen Selena and I from her horrid wrath lest we be ripped limb from limb!” She stood up. “Stop fantasizing about such things. It’s unbecoming of a consort.”

“I’m no one’s consort,” she spat, glaring up at Rieka, her gaze icy cold. 

She scoffed in response. “No one’s consort? Valda, you signed the marriage contract. By definition, you are her consort.” Lightly, she tapped her ribs with her foot. “Stop playing this foolish game and act as you are supposed to.”

If her glare could grow colder, it would’ve. “I’d sooner be rid of my left hand than allow that wretch to run my life and call me hers.”

She cocked a brow. “Truly? We could have that arranged, if you’d like.”

“I was being facetious, you fool.”

“Now your words are jokes, hm? Jokes are unbecoming of a consort, Fera. You should remember that.”

“I’m not a Fera,” she snapped.

“Yet you signed the contract binding yourself to her house. If I remember correctly, that makes you a Fera, regardless of your opinions on the matter.” She cocked her head to the side. “Or was that another joke? Another bit of facetious humor?”

Valda glared at her. “I hate you.”

“More humor and jokes, I suppose. You should be a court fool.” She patted her head like one would a dog. “I’ll see you at dawn. Tomorrow we’ll work on correcting your nasty habit of making threats and jokes.”

With no more to say, she left with her torch and whip, her wood-soled boots clacking against the stone floor of the dungeon. The door creaked open and slammed shut behind her. For one brief, resplendent moment, light, true and natural light from the sun, streamed in through the open door, illuminating the dust motes and catching on the chains binding Valda. Light. What a strange thing to desire above all else.

Valda lay on her side, adjusting herself until the new wounds were unbothered by her position and the white hot agony dulled into something she could almost ignore. Closing her eyes, she thought about the light and how it glinted so nicely against the metal and how lovely the dust looked while suspended in the air. 

When she finally fell into a fitful slumber, it was the light she dreamt of, the songs she’d sing in Weitheim, and the dances she danced in the town square with her sisters. She dreamt of wool dresses and cameos of the Great Mother and long hair braided into twin braids that fell over her shoulders. She dreamt of the wind and the sun and the warmth of a lit hearth.

It was the oddest thing when she awoke to the sound of the door creaking open. Tears burned her eyes and stained her cheeks. Had she been crying in her sleep? Was that truly even possible? She wiped the still wet tears from her face. Nobody needed to see that. One thing belonged to her and it was her pain.

The familiar thud of Rieka’s boots rang out through the dungeon, bouncing off the curved walls and hitting back at her as a reminder of the suffering she was to bear yet again. The boots stopped in front of her face, the leather shiny and the wooden heel freshly polished to reflect like glass.

“You’ve been weeping,” Rieka said, kneeling down before her and grabbing her face to force her gaze up. “Shame. I was under the impression you felt nothing but hate.”

“I wasn’t weeping you stupid bitch,” Valda mumbled, averting her gaze.

“Lying? That’s yet another unbecoming trait.” She patted her cheek. “No worries. We’ll finally correct this nasty attitude of yours.”

“You tortured me and Selena ordered it,” she said, glaring up at her. “This ‘attitude’ is deserved.”

“Queen Selena saved you and you repay her with threats, insults, and lies? She was kind enough to allow this reeducation in place of execution. You should be clamoring to kiss the ground she walks upon.” Rieka cocked her head to the side. “Truly, who do you think yourself to be?”

“The Kaiser of Weitheim.”

“Kaiser of ash and dust perhaps.” She turned and grabbed something obscured by her legs. “Well, nasty attitudes are killed by this fine piece of equipment. Perhaps we’ll also kill that delusion of grandeur.”

What she had in her hands was something Valda had never seen before, yet it made her stomach lurch and breath hitch in her throat. It was a mask with a metal plate sticking out where the mouth would be and several bands and locks to keep it in place.

“Dungeon dwellers tend to learn their manners once they spend a week in this,” Rieka said, holding it up. “Knowing you and your foul mouth, I suppose it may take a moon, if not more, to kill that wretched beast inside of you.”

Valda shrunk back as best she could considering the shackles around her wrists and collar around her neck binding her close to the floor. “Please,” she said, her heart hammering against her ribs and her palms going slick “Not that. Not my voice.” 

Light and speaking. Those were all she had left.

“Please, Rieka. I’ll-I’ll be good.” She forced a shaky smile. “Just-just not that.”

“Now you change your tune?” Rieka smirked. “I’m ashamed we come from the same land. I certainly know this wouldn’t break me.” 

Rieka straddled her upper back and forced her thumbs between her molars, prying her mouth open. With one hand she kept it open, with the other she positioned the bridle around her skull and forced the metal bit into her mouth. The locks snapped closed, securing the bands and assuring there was no way it’d be pried off.

“If you behave, I might consider feeding and watering you in three days. Until then, reflect on your actions.” Rieka cocked her head. “Nothing to say? No insults? No threats?”

She stared up at her, eyes wide and pleading. Rieka was cruel, yet this was something new, something worse. She tried to say something, anything, but the metal bit pressed against her tongue only allowed a mumble.

“So strong-willed. Don’t worry, though. The bridle will kill that anger and defiance soon enough.” She patted her head. “No more biting and spitting, either. I think you should thank me for making you better and killing off those nasty habits of yours. Don’t you think you should be thanking me?”

Valda glared at her, tears burning her eyes and threatening to spill over. 

“Do it. Thank me. Say ‘thank you Lady Rieka for making me better.’” She cocked a brow. “Do you want to be kicked again? Whipped maybe? If you don’t, I suggest you thank me.”

Squeezing her eyes shut and trying to ignore the burning humiliation in her chest, Valda mumbled, “‘ank ‘oo,” around the metal plate in her mouth.

“That’s not what I told you to say,” she said, grinning. “I’ll give you one more opportunity before I go and retrieve your favorite toy. ‘Thank you Lady Rieka for making me better.’” 

“‘Ank ‘oo ‘abby ‘ika ‘or ‘akin ‘e ‘ebber,” she forced out, the words butchered.

“Good girl,” she said, patting her head. “I suppose the bridle is punishment enough. I’ll leave you to adjust.” With that, she stood and left.

The light that streamed in for only a moment did little to dull the humiliation and anxiety that now swelled in her chest. Light. Just light. That’s all she had left.

Valda, alone and silenced, clawed at the mask covering her face and the bands holding it in place. The metal tasted foul and bloody, the bands digging into her flesh. Her nails raked against her skin, tearing it open as she fought to desperately free herself from the mask’s iron grip. 

Her heart raced and her eyes grew wet as she struggled with the locks, the metal firm and unyielding. It wasn’t coming off. It wouldn’t come off. Her breaths came out in short gasps as her fingernails continued to work yet there was nothing to be done. The mask was staying.

The dungeon closed in around her. How could she be any more trapped than she already was? How could it get any smaller, any more restrictive?

And then it happened. The dam finally broke. For the first time in a long time, she wept. What else could Rieka take from her?
