Linked Universe AU Directory
Anyway, I didn't put every single AU on this thing. I do not have the time and energy for that because there's over 600 LU works tagged as alternate universes on Ao3. I did follow some general guidelines when I was deciding which works to add, the most important one being that the AU had to be more than just canon divergence and had to affect all the characters equally. Feel free to add onto this post, if you think something is missing.

how much power is in the ring magnus give alec?
first, a little revisit to trsom
it's shown from scenes like this in the books that despite having the power to bring forward incapable feats or destruction, magnus doesn't want to use it, like at all. we get brief instances in the past where he used it and how much it affected him (killing his stepfather, creating earthquakes when he was upset). the status quo is set, magnus lightwood-bane and his immensely frightening, possibly corruptive magic will never accept each other's friend request again.
but then, there's this scene
the kind of power comes from the very heart of hell. we know warlocks are offsprings of demons, so it's safe to assume their heritage will somewhat show its influence in their magic. but this isn't your garden variety charm. from what the seelie girl trying to convey here, the ring literally reeks of magic from the deepest, most unpredictable and intimidating part of existence.
does alec know he's carrying a piece of magnus too-dangerous-to-not-be-unsealed-magic around him every day? and that there's no end magnus wouldn't go to, even if it's the part of himself he's terrified of, to keep alec safe?

to seelie, the idea of the Perfect American Lawn must be like. plant racism
more like they find it exceedingly creepy - to fae (in general, but especially seelie)a garden is meant to be an ecosystem, meant to provide a diverse pallet of food and medicine for your family group or business.
they do grow crops but never as monoculture - fiber plants are inter-planted with medicinal flowers, etc. everything is harvested by hand. humans can often walk right past or even through a fae garden and never clock it as anything other than another field of flowers or stretch of forest
so to see a "garden" composed of only one type of plant, enforced via caustic poisons that contaminate the earth and the groundwater, killing useful volunteer crops (pigweed, dandelion, violet, feverfew) just for the look of it, for no reason other than an artificial aesthetic of rigid conformity?
no one ever talks about the fact that fae have every reason to find humans just as unsettling and strange and unnatural as the other way around

Your Love, Like Birth and Death
cw. jjk faerie au, banshee!reader (she/her pronouns, afab), seelie prince!gojou, mutual pining but gojou's love is heavier, descriptions of blood and injuries
pairing. gojou x reader
notes. i should be working on the unseelie lord toji fic but this concept is still wracking my brain so y'all are getting this right now instead. lovesick faerie prince gojou for you, you and you! (also, spot the furuba and mirai nikki references lol.)
This Court is dyed in the colors of Life, you note this particular morning.
Of course, this is something you’ve noted every morning since you’d been brought to this palace nearly a month ago. Yet you aren’t tired of noting it.
The Court you have found yourself in is beautiful. From the ledge you lean against, it almost feels like you can see everything in Faerie.
You see the royal gardens, a mass of long grasses and moss dotted by colorful wild blooms. Overgrown and yet each flower seems right where it is supposed to be.
Beyond the walls of the castle, you see stretches and stretches of blue spruces and just beyond that a lake that almost seems purple. If this were a palace in Unseelie territory, you might have thought a kelpie lived in it.
Across the courtyard, souls living and deceased move as if in a dance. The living with their duties for the day, unaware of their ghoulish companions drifting about. Some have the ever permanent dribble of poisoned wines falling from their lips, others' have blood seeping into their clothes from their torsos and others are missing limbs although they find no difficult in moving.
The sight of death faeries is one that gruesome. A mixture of life and death, the path you folk walk on until you return to nothing.
Neat yet unkempt, wild yet tame, expected yet unexpected ー that is the beauty of Faerie you’ve grown accustomed to in the centuries since your creation.
A beauty you rarely have the opportunity to appreciate when you often find yourself in the realm of humans, heralding death.
You wonder how much time has passed there since you’ve come to the Court of Reckoning. All while the skies have lost the traces of violet, peach and marigold that painted the dawn skies and have begun settling into a lovely shade of pastel blue.
“I see I’ve finally found you,” when you look over your shoulder, it’s one of the prince’s advisors that greets you. The one with the long raven-black hair and brown eyes that remind you of humus-rich soil. You see the makings of a black tail with a tuft of fur peeking from his cloak and believe him to be some sort of phouka. “I almost thought for a moment our honored guest had disappeared,” his voice is light and airy, but he seems relieved to an extent. “I’m glad my concerns were proven untrue. Satoru would be quite unmanageable if that were the case.”
You shake your head, smiling politely, “I enjoy watching dawn turn into morning.” You look at the large bouquet in the phouka’s hands ー an assortment of lavender roses, baby’s breath and ferns.
“Our prince is too busy to deliver these himself this morning,” Suguru explains once they’ve caught your eye. You make sure to not let your fingers brush against one another when you reach for the blooms carefully. “Love at first sight, purity and fascination it is supposed to symbolize,” the advisor recounts the meaning of each bloom dutifully. He’s exasperated, you can tell. “Do you like them?”
“Yes, they’re quite lovely,” you believe so truly. Everyday since your arrival to the palace, the prince has had bouquet after bouquet gifted to you. Even if he cannot deliver them himself. “As were the rest I’ve received.”
“I’ve never seen Satoru so smitten,” you avoid the phouka’s gaze. “You should have met him when we were younger. He was adamant that he’d never be besotted with anyone lest he become a fool.” There’s a light pause as Suguru recalls the evening Satoru brought you to this palace. You who are cloaked in death and all of her colors. “Look at him now. He’s certainly caused a stir in his insistence you’ll be his queen. He’s a charming fool, though, I am sure.”
You prefer to think of the prince as a ridiculous fool but you cannot deny that he is charming. Dangerously so. If you hadn’t known better, you would have thought him to be a gancanagh, a love-talker.
“Please marry me,” came the soft request as sky blue eyes stared into your very being. “And I’ll love you more faithfully than any man, fae or otherwise.”
You try not to remember the way your chest clenched in surprise. How you were so surprised it almost felt like your skin had warmed. It’s best not to focus on that memory at all.
It’s a ridiculous notion, a seelie prince in love with a banshee.
“The prince is simply confusing gratitude with love,” you return Suguru’s gaze with a polite smile. You hope he believes you. “He’ll realize that soon and I will leave this place.” You know that will bring palace staff a great sense of peace. If there is one thing you’ve learned in your long life as a banshee it is that even if the Folk spurn mortals and their blink-of-an-eye lifespans, there are many things faeries and humans have in common.
A fear of death is certainly one of them.
As such, to the vast majority of faeriekind, Death Folk like yourself are not looked upon favorably. Banshee and dullahans alike, you’re more like pests in their eyes.
You banshee women who scream and keen if death is near.
The dullahans who hear those screams and arrive when that final hour has approached.
Yes, you know how death fae are viewed. You’ve heard the whispers in the palace, how you are an omen of malevolence to come. That your kind are like roaches. Should one appear, others will soon follow suit.
This is why you’ve come to appreciate this private ledge on the castle walls that receives less foot traffic than the rest. You’d rather the staff of the palace have peace of mind in your absence while you live in the palace even if their prince insists you can venture the halls as much as you’d like.
Once the promised revel he hopes to throw in your honor comes to pass, you know the prince will lose his interest in you. Then you will leave and continue about your existence until you fade into nothing but a vague memory in his subconscious.
That's what you truly hope when you see the prince in question later on in the day for lunch in the garden.
How his eyes light up and he stands to his feet as Cypress, a lovely pixie tasked with being your attendant, announces your arrival. How he doesn't even wait for you to reach the table before he comes to meet you. You are unused to being treated like royalty and yet their prince insists that you are. "You won't believe how the old hags go on and on," he sighs, remnants of annoyance dancing in his tone but his voice is soft with you. Cypress takes the dismissal in stride. "I couldn't even come see you for breakfast. Did you like the flowers?"
He wraps your hands in his own large palms, seemingly unaffected by your corpse-cold skin, as he has done every time you've met since your arrival. "Yes, they were beautiful," your smile is small and doesn't quite reach your eyes. You hope this ridiculous yet charming fool realizes that loving one such as yourself is more trouble than good. That his love truly is just misplaced gratitude. "You really don't have to send me flowers every morning."
The prince disregards your words the way water rolls off the back of a duck, "next time I'll bring you the flowers myself." He guides you to the table filled to the brim with food you aren't accustomed to eating. "Will you tell me your favorites finally? I've been going out on a limb with my guesses."
"My tastes in flowers are unique, to say the least," maybe it's your nature, but your favorites tend to circle around the prevailing theme of your kind. Lavender to give the dead peace in passing on, calendula for blessing and love. Dandelions in the seed head stage were quite popular with ghost children, still finding them just as amusing as they did when they were alive. "The flowers you send me are more than enough." The prince pouts but he decides to let you skirt around his request once more. You bring focus back to the spread, "it looks like you've demanded everything in the kitchen."
There are strawberry-and-whipped cream filled pastries, cold cut platters and buttery biscuits to name a few things. The tip of the iceberg of everything on the table.
"I wanted to make sure our bases were covered," the prince grins, teeth as white as his hair. "I hope you like lavender chamomile, that's today's tea. I've never had it before." He drops cube after cube of sugar into his cup, drizzles the contents with honey before finally pouring in a splash of cream.
You take your tea plain and enjoy the gentle fragrance. Lavender buds are just barely visible below the tea's surface. You close your eyes as the flavor hits your tongue. It tastes as wonderful as it smells. "Yes, this is quite nice. I really like it."
"Should we have it for tomorrow as well?" He's too eager to curry your favor.
You open your eyes to dissuade him but your attention is instead drawn to a headless hob nearing your table. You've seen this hob before, skirting about the palace bitterly as he carries his head in his hands much like a dullahan. He's old, even by fae standards, with a long beard. There's no question as to how the man died, beheading. You hope it was quick.
His beady eyes glare at you with a quiet rage similar to how most fae spirits do. You wonder how long he has been like this, refusing to board the carriage of any dullahan that may come to collect him and bring him to the Otherworld.
You personally believe that faeries leave behind ghosts more than humans do.
It's why you've often seen ghosts from a distance at revels, dancing from dawn til dusk even if they will not be perceived by the living. Even if they can no longer don the fancy dresswear they were able to dress in.
Time and time again, they will do this. Staunchly refusing death even after they're already in its hold.
"Oh, is there a ghost with us?" The prince notes how your eyes dart between him and the space he perceives as empty. "What's it saying?"
"Tell this lout that I sooner hope his rule is contemptuous and brings the Court to ruin!" The hob's head seethes. "That his many days are fraught with danger! Gakuganji is my name and this is the curse I cast upon him!"
Folk can't lie, but you you prefer not to relay the bitter message. "He hopes your rule is one that is," you lick your lips and raise your cup to your lips. "Filled with exciting thrills," not an exact lie. Perhaps to this radical prince, those sorts of threats are exciting. "He says his name is Gakuganji."
"Exciting thrills, you say?" The prince barks in amusement, shoulders shaking with his laughter. "That doesn't sound like the traitorous scoundrel I know. You don't have to lie, he's probably cursing me and my bloodline for generations to come as we speak." The hob growls at the lackadaisical nonchalance of the elf. But it seems he has had his fill as he stomps off before he can hear more insult to his person.
"Gakuganji has lost his touch even in death," the prince's amused chuckles turn into light sighs "You wouldn't have liked him very much when he was alive," you're sure you can agree with that much of the prince's words. Gakuganji, as you now know him, has been one of the more unpleasant spirits in the palace. "He was very stuck in his ways. What's it like, seeing ghosts all the time?"
Normal?
You can't quite remember what it was like when you were a newly-made banshee and everything was new. Nor can you remember the life you once led as a human. You simply remember your death was a terrible, terrible thing. "It's as normal to me as it's normal for you not to see them," you set your cup down. "If someone asked you what's it like to see the blue sky everyday, it would be a strange question, correct?"
The prince takes in your words thoughtfully, not slighted in the least. "I guess that's true," he nods to himself. "I just wondered if it was something that took some getting used to." The prince removes his darkened spectacles from the bridge of his nose. "I told you before I have pretty good eyes. I'm able to perceive a lot of things no one else can from mana to the shape of one's soul. But the spirits of the deceased are exceptions to my eyes, it seems."
"Your Highness," you begin.
"Satoru," the prince corrects you swiftly.
"Your Highness," you insist. This boundary you won't cross for yourself. "I'm not sure it's really wise for you to tell me about your eyes. I'm not a member of this family or your closest allies."
"But you will be," he tells you as if he's simply remarking on how pleasant the weather is. "I will become king of this Court and you'll be by my side as my queen." You're quite sure that if his mother, the High Queen, has anything to say about it, she'd sooner relinquish her throne to a random nixie than allow a banshee to wed her son. "I trust you as much as I trust Suguru or Nanami."
You wish he wouldn't.
A Seelie prince and his banshee queen? That sounds like the start to a ballad meant to insult him.
It's misplaced gratitude, not love. That's what this prince feels for you. You tell him as such once again as you have everyday since you were brought here. "You'll realize that soon, maybe even before the revel you plan for me," you whisper ー no, you pray. "There will be another you yearn for and you'll realize the difference."
The prince will fall deeply, truly, unapologetically in love with someone and he'll discover the truth.
Perhaps it will be a lake maiden of Spring whose dreadlocks drip with water droplets that fall onto dewy cinnamon-brown skin. Who sings of the beautiful red and pink of the roses and of love.
Or maybe it will be a selkie man who doesn't mind living far from the sea as he's brought a love as deep as the ocean along with him. Whose coat is donned in scars and scratches from battles past, a reflection of his form as a seal.
Or maybe he can grow enraptured with his phouka advisor whom he trusts more than anyone in this life.
Someone dyed in Life's colors.
Someone beautiful.
When that time comes, you'll be happy for him. Maybe then the ache that resonates through your heart and bones will end.
The prince isn't the only fool here, you admit reluctantly. You're just as much, if not more so. But this feeling will come to pass, "this is just gratitude. Fascination. Not love."
"You think I don't love you?" The prince asks quietly, resting his chin on his palm as he looks at you. He says he has good eyes, he wonder what you look like to him through them. You who once was dyed in Life's colors but have since become painted over by Death's brush.
Death folk with death folk.
Life folk with life folk.
"I know you don't," he can't. You can't allow either of yourselves to do so. "A banshee by your side as queen," you want it sound ridiculous to both of your ears. "It's absurd."
There are no rules that state your union is forbidden, this you know. But the laws of nature are simple. Life and Death co-exist separately, unable to exist without one another. But there has never been a tale where the two joined together as one.
Maybe you're just too scared to be the first.
"I want the woman that I love by my side as queen," the prince replies smoothly. "Your species is of little importance to me. All that matters is that my love is returned in full. Please, allow me to be yours," he reaches for your hand once more, stepping out of his chair in favor of sitting on bended knee. "More than anyone has or ever will, I love you. This is an unwavering truth."
The blood of the love-talker must run through his veins. Why else do you feel like this? Your desire for this prince will eat away at you until you become undone and return to nothing. "You're a prince. It's the duty of the royal family to provide heirs," even the smallest sprite knows this to be fact. "Are you asking me to stay with you and have them?"
"Please have my children," azure stares seriously into your pale eyes that were once [color] when you were human.
Your skin feels warm at his unabashed request.
Gojou Satoru has no shame, that you have become sure of in the near month of knowing one another.
He had no shame when he asked you to be his bride when you first met.
There was no shame to be found when he insisted that you stay in the palace as an honored guest he owes his life to.
Nor is there any shame to be found in him now when he cups your cheek in his furnace hot hands to guide your lips down to his, long white lashes fluttering shut.
I shouldn't, your mind screeches at you. I shouldn't allow us to get even one millimeter closer. Yet you make no move to do so as your lips are just barely touching whenー
"Your Highness, your mother is requesting you," Nanami's mild-mannered drawl saves you at the last minute.
You jerk back into your chair in relief, heart pounding. You aren't able to make eye contact with anyone, least of all the overworked horned elf-kobold hybrid brought to receive the Gojou heir.
The prince clicks his tongue in annoyance, glaring over his shoulder at the advisor, "she can't wait? We haven't even begun eating yet."
Nanami looks just as annoyed to be there, "the faster you heed her call, the quicker you can go back to fawning after the object of your desires." He tells his prince. "And the faster I can get back to resting."
The prince with snow-white hair clicks his tongue once more, but he doesn't argue against it. He turns to you regretfully, "I'll have to leave again. Perhaps we'll have more time together at dinner," you hope the wait for dinner is longer still. You know the prince hopes the time passes as quickly as he can blink.
Warm lips press against the back of your hand, lingering for five seconds longer than they should.
The bones of your hands ache.
Extra:
Title comes from a Nizar Qabbani poem: [Your love / Oh you with fathomless eyes / Is extreme /mystic / holy / Your love, like birth and death / is impossible to repeat]
My favorite bit in this is having the reader refused to call Gojou by name even in the narrative dialogue, in a futile attempt to keep distance between you both. I hope you guys found that riveting as well
Part 2? Should there be one? Perhaps there should be... y'all let me know

“FEY: A Guide to Fairies of the Butch Variety” themes (Text version)🐸
This book will explore butch fairies, arranged into six differently themed sections. Below are descriptions of these themes, as well as a number of example concepts that might fall under them! You can choose one of the examples we’ve provided, or come up with something yourself - as long as you run it by the mods to approve!
We will be choosing five (5) artists and one (1) writer per theme - one (1) artist to illustrate the ‘title spread’, and four (4) to illustrate the ‘guides’ within. The writer will be asked to provide snippets, comments, short poems, and descriptions to intersperse with spot illustrations on the ‘guide’ pages.
🌱 Garden Fairies
Garden fairies thrive in the world’s backyards - they can be plant-themed, critter-themed, and insect-themed. Large or palm-size, they tend to their surroundings with care and good spirit, and are often brightly colored, eye-catching things. This is your ‘Seelie’ group, for a real-world folklore equivalent.
Example concepts:
A fairy taming a grasshopper steed
A petal-winged rose fairy sleeping in a flower bud
A butterfly fairy collecting nectar
🏡 House Fairies
House fairies reside in and around the home. They are usually small, hiding from humans in nooks and crannies and forgotten places - and will get stuck between the couch cushions. They come out when the coast is clear to make mischief: rearranging trinkets, pilfering snacks, turning up the corners of carpets - all heinous behavior!
Their own dwellings are not to be trifled with, however. They’re of the utmost coziness, warm and safe and full of . . . ‘collected’ goods . . .
Example concepts:
A fairy facing off against a housecat
A fairy in their little home surrounded by myriad stolen trinkets
Fairies scheming to throw something nasty in a human’s stew
🕸️ Dark Fairies
Dark fairies dwell in the domains of shadow - in fairytales with unhappy endings, in childrens’ nightmares, under the surface both figuratively and literally speaking. They rejoice in sowing discord and causing mayhem, and shun the light. These are your ‘Unseelie’ equivalents.
Example concepts:
A murderous moth fairy poised to strike
A hag-like fairy offering a bargain one can’t refuse
A gaggle of tooth fairies
👑 Courtly Fairies
Courtly fairies are those who spend most of their time between lavish palace walls, voluntarily or otherwise. Towering spires, silkspun sheets, all wreathed in swirling gold filigree - a fairy court makes itself known for miles around. Most other fairies consider them the least carefree, though every once in a while a monarch does crop up who rules the land with wild abandon, whipping all fairykind into a frenzy for a decade or fifty.
As an aside: dark fairies enjoy courtly fairies as particular targets for their curses, twisting their beauty and opulence into ironic reflections.
Example concepts:
A cursed fairy monarch chained to their throne
A rogue fairy prince on the run
A fairy knight in beetle armor
🌆 City Fairies
City fairies have bid the splendors of the fey adieu for the neon-splashed fast lanes of a human metropolis. Usually, they try to (more or less) blend in, bask in humans’ energy, break their hearts and leave them wondering how you do that thing you do. Little city fairies exist, too, trying their best not to get crushed underfoot as they go about their busy lives!
Example concepts:
A raver fairy stealing the show in a color-soaked warehouse
A mundane-looking fairy creating otherworldly pastries with the help of some friends
A fairy guardian of some public property
🔥 Wyld Fairies
Wyld fairies are closest in essence to magic itself, to nature and those primordial forces they let flow through them: the elements. They eschew court-made laws, borders, customs, and causes, simply forging their own paths through life with little consideration of worldly issues. They are bright like fire, deep as water, free as the wind.
Example concepts:
A fairy fire dancer
A seahorse (or, ‘kelpie’) herding underwater-fairy
A fairy exploring the edge of the upper atmosphere

❝ DARLING, I'D WAIT FOR YOU ❞
WANDERER ( SCARAMOUCHE ) X READER
contains ; angst, spoilers for 3.3, implied death, right person wrong time type shit(?? he was mostly in denial )
"Why is it so cold here!?" The floating child questioned, shivering a bit as she and the two with her looked around the area.
"Is this.. Snezhnaya?" The Traveller asked, standing near by a fire seelie to keep themselves and Paimon warm, the wanderer beside them seeming to be used to this kind of weather ( or maybe it's because he's a puppet ).
"Yes. This is the Balladeer's first regret" The Lesser Lord spoke from the real world as they took in the scenery of the memory.
"First regret..?"
The Wanderer snapped out of his trance, walking over to a tree "Voices again..." He muttered and peaked. The Traveller and Paimon looked at each other before following his lead, going to another tree to peak from there.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" A person with (color) hair asked, their eyebrows furrowed in concern as their eyes watched as the harbinger infront of them stare at nothing. Scaramouche clicked his tongue, looking at them from over his shoulder.
"Haven't I told you already? Yes, I am." He spat, crossing his arms and facing them "And I also told you to leave me alone. What are you still doing here?"
Unfazed by his glare and tone, they sighed and smiled. "As your servant, it's only my duty to make sure my lord will be safe"
"Well, as 'your lord', I'm ordering you to leave" The Balladeer lowered his hat and turned to walk away, only to hear them still following him from behind. This caused him to sigh.
"(Name), the Balladeer's servant... They always prioritized him and his safety more than anything" The Dendro Archon's words caused the wanderer's non-existent heart to squeeze slightly, the blonde and the floating child on the other tree were silent.
A green glow suddenly appeared, and the scene changed. Now, they're at some kind of..
"A garden..!" The Traveller's eyes widen in familiarity. But before anyone could question them, the voices return.
"Your 'form' is almost complete." The Doctor informed, a smile that seemed so casual- it was unsettling. "Now we need you to take a little test.. though, I'm sure your servant will be getting in our way"
Scaramouche glanced behind him, staying silent at Dottore's words before looking at him again, stating with no hesitation "I've got it. You're dismissed, I'll meet you when I'm done"
The Doctor gave him a grin before leaving, keeping his hands behind his back as he vanished in thin air of the memory.
The Balladeer , once he was out of ear shot, called for them as he turned around. In a minute, they raised their head from the ground and walked over to their lord.
"Is there something you need?" They asked, tilting their head.
"I'm going to need you to wait for me here until I get back, understood?" He answered with an order, earning wide eyes from them. Their mouth was open for a second with saying a word, a sign of hesitance before they asked.
"But, My Lord.. This experi- plan is risky. It is my job to be by your side to protect you"
"And it is also your job to follow my orders, isn't it?" Scaramouche retaliated, noticing their figure slightly falter. This encouraged him to go on "Do not underestimate me, (Name). I'll come get you when the job is done.. now I'll ask this again, understood?"
The servant stayed silent, but with uncertainty, they nodded and bowed. To seal the order, the balladeer used his finger to tilt their chin up and look at him straight in the eyes.
"Don't leave until I get back. You can't run away now"
And despite his choice of words and stern tone, they still smiled- knowing it's his own way of making a promise. Now as the balladeer leaves, so did the figure of the servant began to vanish.
"They seem like a nice person. To still be there even with that kind of personality.." The wanderer commented, a small smile on his face. The Traveller only frowned while Paimon had her hand holding her head as they stared at him.
Noticing the silence, the Wanderer broke the ice, "It.. looks like this is where the memory ends. Let's move on"
"Now that that's over with, I have somewhere to be" The Wanderer ( who had regained his memories ) stated, fixing his hat as he glances at the traveller and their companion, who had been silent after the naming fiasco.
Getting uncomfortable, he asked "What? Spit it out already"
The Traveller gave Paimon a look, but the child only gestured them to do it themselves, shaking her head furiously. The blonde took a breather before finally letting out-
"About (Name)... You're going to them, right?"
He stared at the figure laying on the ground. His throat felt dry, and all of the sudden- he couldn't feel anything but the air. His eyes were duller than the usual electric indigo ones. He got on his knees, placing a hand on their cheek and felt the petal of the flower 'tucked' in their ear.
A Sumeru rose.. were they always red?

GUESS WHO IS BACK?!?!?
Yes ME with more about my Cosmic Royal au
(Again thank you for @crazysaru99 for all the amazing drawings and the help on the au. Without you this wouldn't be possible)
The fairies are split in classes and the number of their wings is directly affected by it. It is possible to change the perception of the wings ture nature but not the wings itself. Like a mirage or illusion.
The way to de terminate what class each belong is
First class - Royal family, seelie court(main family) and the council.
Second class - Seelie Court(other family memmbers), some aristocracy and knights (may add other folk)
Third class - commom fairies
After Cosmo Sr. was born there was an event to introduce the royal prince to the fairies, on this same day Jorgen meet the prince.
Jorgen is a first class fairy as he is from a main family on the seelie court. He also have knights in his family being part of the fairy army.
His mother fought in the great magical and he was really close with the royal family. He also doesn't remember about them since this was long long time ago.
He is just a bit older than his aunt Tuli Von Strangle (Mama Cosma)
While growing up, Cosmo Sr. didn't minded about how his father would soon forget, he always wanted to share his day and tell stories and just be around his dad.
Gonzo didn't ignored his child willing as he would mostly dissociate for a long time or forget where they are for a moment. He would always recognize his son thou, even if for a moment in his memories he was just a baby.
The events that lead to Gonzo's state was a mix of the attacks during the great magical war, his own stress and his own magic.
Stella had to assume the head of the family since the day they scaped the castle and even if she feels ready to break she will rise her head and face what she needs to do.
The secret will be revealed on a festival, Timmy had learned about a anual festival that happens in fairy world and wished to be there. It wasn't prohibited for godkids and Timmy even found one or other godchild around the fair so this was fine.
The festival was to honor and celebrate all the lives lost during the Great Magical War. The current Fairy King, King Oberon, was giving a speach about the honor of his family and the sacrifices of the crown withou a single remorse even if he knows he is a fake.
Eventually Cosmo distracts himself to get something to eat and find his mother, they argue as she tries to bring him back to her and Cosmo Sr. who just happens to be there goes in defense of his son.
Wanda appears with Timmy and because of their arguing they accidentally end up in one of the old tunnels
The tunnels are a giang catacombs under the fairy castle connecting the dungeon and other areas. One of the areas is a garden where the mural made to celebrate the birth of the prince
The mural was abandoned but the faces are easy to recognize
And then the secret of the royal family is revealed. With a wish, Timmy let the truth spread for the fairy world
After facing the council and being revealed what was done, Cosmo Sr. Is crowned King Cosmo I.
And his family restored to the throne as they deserve.
Cosmo Sr. have a talk with his oldest son Schnozmo that because of all he has done is welcomed in the family but cannot be a heir to the throne leaving this to Cosmo.
Alot of fairies wanted to Cosmo and Wanda stop being godparents because of their current status but they couldn't do it as their heart is to make children happy, and they love Timmy too much

ever wonder why kaeya loves summer?
well, kaeya is based on the changeling prince from midsummer night's dream. the domain midsummer courtyard is a reference to this play. it contains the ruins of princess fischl's sommernachtgarten (summer night garden).
With the fall of the ancient lost civilization, the once prosperous and magnificent Sommernachtgarten was also buried underground, leaving only its ancient trees and stones to remember its past glory.
in the play, titania is the queen of the fairies. in popular culture, titania is also the summer queen, leader of the summer court, better known as the SEELIE COURT.
kaeya loves summer because he's a seelie.

hello, hello. Hope you're having a good Wednesday. Your last week sounded stressful, hopefully this week is a little more kind.
Ive always liked the idea of magnus changing his home's layout once he and Alex are committed by adding a waiting room/anteroom. That way it helps keep magnus' private life a little more separate from his duties as highwarlock. With this, alec doesn't have to worry about coming home/leaving their room and interrupting a sensitive meeting and downworlders don't have to worry about a shadowhunter just *being there* at a potentially vulnerable moment. So, if it interests you, I'd really like to see this explored, perhaps in a pre-canon relationship context? Maybe where jace/izzy/Clary show up for clary's memories and have to take a figurative number?
This is long and rambling but hopefully something in this prompt will help inspire something 💛💛💛
I love Magnus separating his area so this is right up my alley! This is in the Quarrel vs that needs a name (Alec finds a hellhound and he and Magnus share custody)
I hope you enjoy!
—
Magnus changed the layout of the loft the night he met Alexander and it was actually because of Quarrel.
And perhaps because of Alexander, a little.
The entire top of his lair is changed to accommodate for his new hellhound and the shared custody with Magnus’ shadowhunter.
Now, Magnus keeps the first three levels of the apartment complex as a greenhouse. The next level is where Magnus will his clients, with a waiting hall and a foyer.
It’s filled with the scent of potions and herbs and old books and Magnus layers it with wards and arrays of secrecy.
The proof of a hellhound loose in New York is all the evidence Magnus needs to set up protections.
So he creates a maze of wards that keep his clients from ever accessing anything but the level he allows them on and only when he allows it.
His own personal lair is kept tightly controlled and the war level wards are not only turned up to keep things out, but to keep things in.
Nephilim are now unable to track him and while Jocelyn may complain to Dorothea, Magnus only is willing to have contact with a single shadowhunter from now on.
Dorothea can find another warlock to take the child’s memories. Magnus has greater priorities than such a simple thing.
—
It’s months later; when they have gone from sharing custody of Quarrel to Quarrel and Magnus sharing custody of Alexander, that Magnus adds even more changes.
There is now a staircase that Alexander can use to access every level but the level for clients. It gives him and Quarrel access to the greenhouses and the roof and Magnus enjoys coming home to find the two wrestling in the moss of the gardens or the stone of the roof.
It hides Alexander’s angelic signature from other warlocks, his scent from werewolves, the call of his blood from vampires and the presence of his life from seelie.
Magnus wards Alexander with the same fervor he wards his oldest and most valuable magical texts. His shadowhunter comes in from the roof or the balcony, kisses Magnus with a dark joy and then waits until Magnus is done with his own work.
Alexander is harder to tame, more difficult to gentle than Quarrel. More skittish and far more tormented than a hellhound still growing and Magnus is thorough as he builds a sanctuary for both of his darlings.
This is to protect the world from them and then from the world after all.
—
Magnus pauses from where he’s petting Alexander’s hair. The Institute has been a mess of tensions and Alexander is a furious and soul-bruised mess. It means that Magnus himself is also furious, when angelic signatures not connected to his boy approach. They linger with a warlock and Magnus tsks as he realizes Dorothea is involved.
Magnus lets them wait for hours. Even when angry and frantic fire messages bounce off his wards, when Dorothea is convinced to try magic to signal him or when the shadowhunters try to use unlocking runes.
Magnus watches it all with his eyes closed, his mind focused on the images being relayed as Menace curls atop Alexander’s back and Quarrel in front of him. The hellhound leans back, so that Alexander’s arm dangles against her fur. Quarrel gives the floor a baleful look, as if she can feel the presence of unwelcome intruders.
“I’ll let you eat them if they wake him up.” Magnus promises her and he finally uses magic to gently move Alexander as Magnus gets out from under him. Magnus takes a moment to pet over his hair and press a kiss to his cheek and then he snaps his fingers.
His outfit changes as he is no longer simply Magnus Bane, he is the High Warlock of Brooklyn.
And he has clients to attend.
Uninvited ones at that.

NPC - Memory Keeper
The Memory Keeper, more commonly known as ‘the Hag’ to locals, is the Seelie Wicht (Arch Fey) of tranquility.
She was once an elf who sought a simple and calm life away from the wars of the material plane, and retired deep into the Feywilds. After time, she claimed the mantle of a Wicht, and shaped her domain to be a place of relative peace within the chaos of the Feywilds.
Her view on exactly how to bring peace to people is… something. Ultimately not many people actually interact with her. She just wants to live in peace and tend to her gardens, so disguises herself as a terrifying hag most of the time.
She was actually first made as an NPC for a player’s backstory. I struggled to fill the space for a LONG time, but now that she’s been fit into place she’s honestly one of my favourites in a lot of ways.

there is a fullness to forests that goes unexplained to the mortals of the world - for how the woods seem to watch them with each step. yet the still ones seem more eery to many, and perhaps it's due to the lacking of greenfolk within them. your kind hold the life of nature within their grasp - and once you leave you take so very much with you. you don't remember much of your mother - only that she'd been lovelier than the most regal of lilacs and wiser than the old oak trees. you were the last of her children, and, having brought you into the world, she returned to the earth from whence she'd came. it is your sisters ( proclaimed and blood ) who hold you close and teach you what it is to be one of nymphai of the forest, for they had been there for decades before your birth. you wondered often through your seedling years on the world beyond - on what it might hold. and so, despite their pleas against it, when you've bloomed into adulthood you leave your flowerbed for the great unknown - following as though a flower in the breeze wherever your feet brought you. you are gone from them for more years than you can count - long enough to see change come to pass - to see how quickly mortals succumbed to age as the centuries pulled them to the earth. for humans cannot be made immortal, not by you - and you can only watch as they age in such quick progression. you take your place among the people, transforming a far overrun with weeds and dirt cottage into a garden home once more. it had been your sister's, once, before she too had chosen to return to the woods and the streams that she so yearned for with a father light kiss to your cheek and a hand forever waiting for you to join her. she'd been so lost in the time you'd been apart, with little connection to the mortal realm after the passing of her partner, and so you wished her no ill will as she left your side - passing the place to you. you'd been in town not long by then, and how you longed to follow after her. on occasion, you think you could. for how the very green calls to you - a lulling you so resist. she was content to stray from any sense of humanity, you were not there - not yet.
ties are built within the town, one after the other in connection without great fear of loss, and you try to play at humanity once more.
five: 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘴.
takes credit for the beauty of the gardens of versailles, for how her guidance had allowed the flora to bloom and flourish.
has loved and lost over the years, with a fear of growing too close to any who will be lost with time's passing
works as a florist at white oleander, with each of her bouquets holding her blessing ( or curse ) within. if you're cruel to her upon entrance, best be cautious as you might find thorns in even the most gentle of flowers.
takes care of the younger nymphs, with the youngest of them tending to flock to her - following after her like ducklings. she doesn't mind it, dotes on them well - as she'd been much like them in her youth
while she does not lie, she creatively folds the truth and will use what is shared with her to her advantage when needed. she is not cruel at heart, but she is amused by trickery.
has been in town nearly ten years.
greatly enjoys art, frequenting the art museum when she has the chance - and has served as model and muse to artists and writers alike over the centuries.
forgets just how old she is, as her time has been spent between nature and civilization.
has a great on again/off again love affair that will be written up when I make a wc list.

Hi~
first of all thank you for all your hard work and everything you're doing here !
Also sorry if you already suggested some but do you have anything that is similar to "Faeted" written by megzseattle ?
Or anything Fae related really
Anyway thanks again for everything !
Hello. Here are some fae-related fics for you...
Fair Folk by effableao3 (T)
Aziraphale attempts to rescue a snake, and instead discovers the magical but malicious world just outside of his own.
Neath the Faerie Hill by ShesAKillerQueen98 (T)
For twelve long years, Aziraphale has tried to give her husband a child, with very little success. A desperate trek up the mountain to the faerie court may see her wish come true but there are always consequences when it comes to dealing with the fae.
In Your Name by TheTimeMachineJellyfish (T)
For the fae, the exchange of a name is no small thing. Fae AU: Unseelie!Crowley and Seelie!Aziraphale.
Literomancy by Z A Dusk (T)
Asa is a Guardian. In his heart, he knows something is blocking his Aurent from calling him. When Asa decides to take matters into his own hands, his actions have unintended consequences, but his mind is set on one thing: Finding and protecting his Intended. CC wants nothing to do with Aurency. Or angels. Or any of it. But a chance encounter proves that whether he wants it or not, Aurency is his destiny.
Heart & Shoal by ZehWulf (T)
More than the loss of the skin—which was enough of a problem to be getting on with, thank you—the problem was, Aziraphale had done the wrong thing. If he could say to Gabriel that he'd simply seen a creature in distress and decided to help, he might not be forgiven, but he probably wouldn't be cast out. But, knowingly saving a human from drowning was beyond the pale. He was meant to be spying on them, not helping them. OR Aziraphale is a selkie whose lost skin is somewhere in the village of Tadfield; Crowley is a fay who considers Tadfield his personal garden to cultivate and protect. They're drawn to each other, but neither is willing to divulge their secret. Naturally, a lot of inconvenient feelings and small-town hijinks ensue anyway.
through the silent wood by summerofspock (M)
When Aziraphale Eastgate first moves to Tadfield, he struggles to understand the strange culture of the village. They're not friendly or kind or anything he expected from a village in the north. So when he rescues a snake from a snow storm, he's glad for a little company even if it comes in the form of an animal. Unfortunately, in Tadfield, animals are often not what they seem.
And the one you mentioned...
Faeted, Part One by megzseattle (G)
Ezra fell is an English professor at a prestigious academy for boys. Crowley is the lord of the Unseelie court in the lands without sunrise or moonfall. Somehow fate will bring them together.

Flowers inside the Cheritzverse
For the sake of this I'm gonna derail the post a bit because otherwise this is not gonna work lol we need to talk about fairies first~ fairies and flowers. Yes, the two of them are closely linked and I do not dare to make a different post for it. If we are to talk about the Wizard of Dandelion and The Cheritzverse, we need to talk about the fairy concept in general. I already talked about the magic contracts and karmic laws which in theory are not linked together irl but write do use it together, because it's kinda cool (?) but whatever~ so let's begin with the fae world. I'm not gonna delve a lot into it, just gonna touch the basics.
So 101 here~
They are not called fairies but fae. They are divided by Seelie and Unseelie Courts. And please, do not let your human thoughts think that ones are "good" and the others are "bad" or something like that. Actually, representations like that are more harmful than anything. They're not supposed to be similar or have affinity to human standards. So whatever you consider beautiful, ugly or inappropriate, it's different for them. I believe the same concept it's applied to good and bad for them. And that they have particular affinity to change if they see you want to "like them". It's fun to consider that the books of YA can't be more inaccurate sometimes *sighs* I won't try to fight those cause it's difficult to change an idea once established but, At least that's what I have gathered from the fairytales~~~~~
* Some devas are associated with fairies.
* Random fact that doesn't come on the fairy bible but~ did you know the earth has chakras too? And when connecting chakras with some powerful places (where several ley lines touch) it can create weird events.
* Water is a conductor. Always. And not only electricity but also ley lines can drift because of that.
* Seriously read about ley lines because these can be used as a method of transportation. If you want to read how would that work, you should read Kim Harrison's series, The Hollows. Which could tie my theory on how witches and fae folk and demons too btw~ can work all along the Cheritzverse. This is not exclusive on her works but it's where I have seen the idea explained in a better way. Which makes me think of several myths and stuff that has been going around for ages (big fan of supernatural and so weird series here so lol i've been studying mythology a lot.)
* Fae folk are diverse. So even if someone, yes even me, says one thing, another can say whatever and we're all free to enjoy them as we please.
So how does this ties to the Cheritzverse will you ask? Well~ that's why flowers and trees have a long and ancient culture around and even their own meanings.
Although there are versions in Greece where the Hesperides Garden contains several "sacred trees" (among those apparently it's the pomegranate. Which ties to Jaehee~ and others like The Monkey King legend in China where you can see the Garden of Immortal Peaches. it's all about paying attention to the detail to see the patterns.)
BTW I found the Fairy Bible so useful to help me in my defense and to build up how the Cheritzverse would work. Really, I wanted to create more on this but I had to cut it cause the post is so long already. For now let's delve into the language of flowers~
From now on~ I grabbed the links, I copied/pasted and added everything I know so here till the end I'm gonna be quoting A Guide for the Flower Language and adding a lot of insights from A victorian flower dictionary, Le Langage des fleurs by de Latour (1819) and Floriography, among other notes I have. Check bibliography at the end of the post for more notes.
To make it clearer, I'm gonna quote it in bold. I'm also gonna go a bit more deeper than what the Mint Eye package and Cheritz said because I have some books and knowledge on mythology, and some knowledge (although not extensive or this post it's gonna become giantic) I have on medicine to add onto this, so be warned; this is gonna be a long post, but here we go~
Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional. My family however has been dedicated to this for ages so I do have some knowledge on this, HOWEVER please do not take my word for this and attempt to self medicate. Thank you.

A
Anemone - Forsaken, abandonation(?) Mentioned by Ray during a call. Also: Truth. Transitory. Endangered Love. Anticipation.
* Adonis is another flower related to this myth. The flower means sad memories.
Because the anemone's blossoms were thought to open on windy days and they're also short-lived, they have become a symbol of a transitory love that moves like a breath of breath wind. The original bloodred wildflowers were associated with Aphrodite upon the passing of Adonis from the earthly scene.
Then another paragraph comes like this:
These beautiful, fragile flowers come from the near East and the Mediterranean, and were first brought to Britain at the end of the 16th century [....] Their name comes from the Greek anemos, meaning 'the wind', because their delicate flowers appear to open in a gentle breeze, but are so short-lived, like a breath of wind.
Then it proceeds to describe the how the goddess was besotted with Adonis and he was fatally wounded by a wild boar and died in her arms.
She sprinkled nectar on his blood and fron that comes the anemone. Love is fleeting and doesn't last. That is what the flower represents. There's a representation in The Awakening Conscience from William Holman Hunt's 1853, where a small vase of anemones appears. Hinting that the affair will not last. Although it's not the only thing that hints that. The room is full of objects that talk of her predicament.
Although today they have more resilience, they still have the meaning of fading youth behind.
Almond blossom - Hope. (see birthday flowers down below for reference.)
B
Baby breath - Pureness. Freedom. Innocence. Undying Love. (Usually seen and mentioned during Dandelion & Mystic Messenger) Also: Love Everlasting.
Bluebell - Humility. Also: Grief. Either the loss of a loved one or the end of an affair. Constancy. This flower is also known campanula, which depending on the location can be or not the same flower and mean Gratitude.Thankfulness.
*there's another 'bell' called harebell. This is why I prefer their scientific names. No way you can confuse them. At least ut hasn't happened to me just yet. anyways~ bellflower is gratitude, or an indiscretion, and bluebell (ironically i think they're not blue lol) mean grief. Do with this what you want lol
Bouquet of withered flowers - rejected love mentioned by Unknown in Another Story Also: Constancy. Dead leaves means sadness.
C
Cactus - endurance (V's favorite) Also: Warmth
Clivias - Happiness, passion, kindness (Saeyoung Choi)
Also, fortitude, unyielding, modest and gentle. In many culture, clivia flowers are seen as a luck symbol for happiness, wealth and abundance, which is also one of the reasons why clivia plant is widely loved.
Chrysantemum - you're a wonderful friend, cheerfulness and rest. Condolences.
Used in funerals and placed on graves. This ritual may derive from the practice of decorating graves on All Souls’s Day, a christian holiday occurring in early November, when many blooms are difficult to find.
Red: I love. Love at first sight. Yellow: slighted love. White: Truth
The Japanese, who have made it the emblem of their emperor consider the orderly unfolding of its petals to ve symbolic of perfection. [...]
The essence of the flower is unravelled just as the truth is so often revealed: at first hidden, then brought into the light.
The flower didn't arrive Britain until 18th century. And in the 1800s the French had a craze for these flowers and a bestselling novel of the time was Madame Chrysanthème by Pierre Loti, who drew upon a lifetime of travel for the plots of his exotic romances.
Pair with: Willow for a friend grief, gladiolus for a broken heart.
Clover - Life to come. Be mine. Think of me (if it's white)
Credits to: @cheritzheadcanonz
Where? Jiyeon gives it to us in Dandelion.
Symbolizes: luck (green). Fortune. Yellow: hope and divinity, success, romance, red: love, white: purity. Purple: royalty. pink: admiration.
Also: marriage, faithfulness and protection.
A four leaf clover is considered as a sign of extraordinary luck. In irish culture, the shamrock variant is tied to St. Patrick Day and the Holy Trinity. The clover is also a way to enhance the connection to nature.
The ancient Druids in Ireland believed that carryng a clover allowed one to detect evil spirits approaching, while carrying one in Middle Ages led people to believe they could see fairies.
Clover" has roots in Old Germanic, evolving from "Klaibron" to "clæfre" in Old English, and eventually to "clover" by the 18th century.
Trefoil" derives from Latin, with "tri" and "folium" meaning three and plant, respectively, leading to "Trifolium." It was shortened to "tri-foil" in Middle Ages Anglo-Norman French and settled as "trefoil" in Middle English.~ HelloFearless
If paired with apple blossom and dandelion, shows hope that the recipient’s wishes will come true.

Daisy - not really appearing but the closest flower to V's Rhondante aka Paper Daisy.
However and just for the sake of it let's do daisies. White: innocence. A love that conquers all. Wild: I will think of it. Oxeye: Disappointment. Patience. Also: Perseverance. Childhood
Back in the day, and sometimes today too~ people used to play adivination with daisies, by picking petals one by one ~ 'he loves me, he loves me not' was and is still known. Tied to Freya in Norse mythology. Goddess of fertility, motherhood and childbirth. In Celtic tradition, daisies grew for the spirits of children who died in birth.
Paired with baby’s breath as a gift for a newborn baby.
Paired with peony and violet for an expression of childhood bliss.
Dandelion - Smiling on all. Or as Cheritz would say~ Wishes brought to you. Divination and fortune telling.
The myth behind the «Dandelion»
Okay~ so I wanted to recollect everything I could before starting on the legend:
♡ Symbol of the Sun
♡ "The Teeth of the Lion"
♡ Enjoyed by Ancient Geeks, egyptians and Romans. Even used by traditional chinese medicine for overa thousand years.
♡ One of the most nutritional vegetables you'll ever find btw!
♡ Masters of survival
♡ The roots clone when divided
♡ It can cure the liver
♡ It's diuretic
This is one of my favorite flowers, now, the mystery is that no one really knows where the myth of wishing upon dandelions comes from, sone say it can be traced back to the Celts and other to the French. Some myths say that if you blow all the seeds off a dandelion with a single breath your wish will come true but if seeds remain, then it may depend~
Others think the dandelion tells the time or the weather. From food to medicine to dye, to carry dreams and wishes, every part of the dandelion has found some utility.
Daffodil - admiration. new beginnings. regard (Rika's favorite)
The lovely golden daffodil is a welcome, heart-lifting sight, as it marks the end of winter and the beginning of a new season. It comes into full flower around Easter time, when thoughts turn towards the renewal of life and the Resurrection. It is also known as the Lent lily or the Easter lily.
* Kind reminder that Rika is Catholic and also, this is another way of hinting she's not dead.
A more sombre note might prevail in rural areas, where it was said to be unlucky to bring the flowers into the house of anyone who kept poultry because this would prevent the eggs from hatching. (...)
(...) In some places, Wales in particular, the daffodil was used in traditional practice of "flowering the graves" (...)
It is said that the connection with mournful and unlucky matters comes from the old story that the name daffodil is said to derivr from the medieval Latin affodilus abs asphodelos in Greek ~ The asphodel, the plant that grew in the meadows of the underworld.
The Greek legend of Narcissus tells of a handsome and proud hunter who upon seeing his reflection in the waters of a spring, falls in love with himself and drowns. Daffodils were born to mark his grave.
If you pair a camellia with a daffodil, it means unrequited love.
Paired with clove, for hope and change.
Paired with sweet pea to indicate giving up on an ill-suited romance.
Delphiniums - big hearted person, dignity and grace (V) Also: Happiness. Levity.
Daylily - romantic love, forget painful events from the past. It's called the flower that helps to forget sorrows. Green: harmony, growth, rebirth. (Yoosung) White: fleeting beauty. Blue: Coquetry.

Fritillaria - Persecution.
Forget Me Not - True love, love at first sight, , memories, don't forget me. Also: I will never forget you. Remembrance.
The name of this pretty and delicate flower, which enamels riverbanks and garden borders with its miniature sky-blue petals, speaks of human longing for loyalty and lastingness. Its name comes from German folk tale about a couple who, on the eve of their marriage, take a walk by the banks of the Danube. The young bride admires a cluster on the flowers, and her fiancé goes forward to pick them for her, but falls into the river. Before he is carried away by the turbulent waters, he throws the flowers at the feet of his betrothed, crying, 'Vergiss mein nicht!'
Forsythia - Anticipation, new beginnings. Its early bloom, often before many other flowers have awakened from winter slumber, signifies hope and the promise of change. This makes it a perfect emblem of the optimism and renewal that come with spring.
In traditional Chinese culture, it is revered for its resilience and bright, uplifting appearance. In Western cultures, it is often planted in memory gardens to symbolize the continuity of life and nature’s enduring cycles. Forsythia was mentioned by Rika when meeting Yoosung, she said Yoosung looks like a bouquet of these flowers.

Geranium - I'm happy because of you. Also: (oak leaf): friendship. Pink: preference. Scarlet: Comfort. Consolation and melancholy. White: gracefulness.
When its flowers drop, the exposed fruit is revealed to be pointed in shape, like a crane’s bill. The Greeks noticed this resemblance to the bird and called the flower geranion, from geranos, meaning “crane”.
Scarlet geranium is a very popular bedding plant that was originally sent to Europe from South Africa back in 1609. The sailors for the Dutch East India Company would pick them cause they would last through the voyage without perishing.

Hyacinth - Games and sports. Rashness. Blue: Constancy. Usually seen in MC room in Magenta. Purple: forgiveness. sorrow. White: beauty, unobtrusive loveliness. Yellow: jealousy
The hyacinth takes its name and meaning from the Greek mythology. Hyacinthus, a beautiful young man, beloved by Apollo, died during a game of discus throwing, Apollo’s discus was knocked from its course by a jealous Zephyrus, striking Hyacinthus and thus, killing him. It’s said the flowers were grown from the blood that fell from his head wound as Apollo begged his forgiveness.
Paired with olive for peace and forgiveness.
Paired with pansies to indicate you betrayal haunts you.
Hydrangea - Truth, thank you for understanding, frigidity, heartlessness, (here's my own interpretation of this flower), seen in Ray's garden.
Also: Calm, dispassion.
Hypoxis Aurea - Symbolizes health. Very appropriate for a doctor (Henri)
Belongs to the Orchid-Lily Family. From Greek, words “hypo”, meaning “below” and “oxy”, which means “sharp” or “pointed”, referring to the ovary which is pointed at the base. Also called Golden Star Grass. Native from Indo-China, Malaysia. Asia.

Lily - feminity, innocence and purity. Majesty. (Jaehee) Purity of heart. Fertility. White: Purity and rebirth. Sweetness. Usually for both funerals and weddings. (Yoosung's Christmas) Pink: Love, feminity and admiration. Red: Passion. Orange: Confidence and energy. Yellow: Friendship, thankfulness and joy Purple: Royalty, elegance spirituality.
Also: False and gay (outdated: gay meaning happy)
The lily name meaning comes from the Old English lilie, from Latin lilium and from Greek leirion. Originally, we took lily from the Hebrew word “Shoshannah” (שׁוֹשַׁנָּה), which was borrowed from the Egyptians. This name became popular in almost every culture across the world. It's Italy's national flower.
Please take note that daylilies are not considered true lilies. But then again there are at least 100 species of lilies so~
**Some parts of lilies and only some variants of lilies have been used in traditional medici e and culinary dishes to treat digestive issues and skin conditions. But most of them are not, and it can be dangerous if you don't know~ so please avoid intake if you're in doubt.
Lily of the Valley - Return of Happiness. Healing heartbreak. Unconscious sweetness.
This is one of my big peeves, you'll see, daffodils and lillies unlike dandelions, are actually poisonous. Or at least, this one, it's poisonous. And here they are in Cheritz saying to us that we need to believe in MC? Do we? Is the lily of the valley true happiness, or shadows of something else lurk around?
Also called sometimes Lady’s tears. There’s a short story where it is said that the Queen of the fairies asked a group of gnomes for a drink, so they had to gather nectar from blossoms in little porcelain cups. But it was late in tha day and the gnomes were worn out, so they tried, but fell asleep. Next morningm the gnomes awoke to find fast-growing grasses had lifted the little cups out of their reach, luckily the Queen saw their plight and cast a spell so that each cup became a white flower bell and any blossom they reached for became the correct cup to choose.
Lilac - For more of my rant here~ but the meaning of this flower it's first emotions of love. Love at first sight.

Mistletoe - I surmount difficulties.
On a winter’s day, when the sun is long and the shadows long, the mistletoe is revealed in all its unearthly beauty, hoisted high in the leafless trees. It appears to have no roots, no means by which it can obtain nutrients and water, and yet remains fres and green when everything around is lifeless. Surely it cannot live? And yet, against all odds, the mistletoe flourishes. Hope. (appears during Christmas DLC ofc, 😉) there's a little story on my book of fairies that talks about the fairy of the mistletoe.
Myrtle - Love. Frequently associated with Venus, the myrtle bush offered her protection while she bathed. Since ancient times it has symbolized the chief of passions, love and according to classical tradition, it has the ability to both inspire and retain that emotion.
Michaelmas Daisy - A farewell, a departure.
Michaelmas Daisies are also frequently known by their Botanical Latin name of Aster. The name ‘aster’ is from the Greek for star, and refers to the shape of the flower heads.
As Aster: Wisdom, faith, valor. Greek name for star. According to the legend, the goddess Astraea cried because there weren't enough stars in the sky. Her tears fell to earth and turned into star-shaped flowers now called Asters.
Fun fact? It's one of the Flowers of Bach. Used to relieve fever, stomach ache and apparently has some specific vibration. Absorbs the full expression of the sun's communion with the earth at an exalted vantage point of altitude.

Narcissus - Self love. Narcissism. Egotism. Overconfidence. So, people tend (me included) to confuse jonquils, daffodils and narcissus. While I already talked about this, I'll talk about it again~ here you go:
BTW~ if we talk about jonquils as korean birthday flower, it would mean answer to love. While narcissisus would mean mystery lol (see birthday flowers)

Rose - The meaning it's quite simple. Love. Red: Passionate love. White: happy love. A heart unacquainted with love. Worthiness. My heart is free. Loyalty, pure love, commitment (Zen/Hyun Ryu) Pink: Grace. Modesty. Infatuation, beauty. Mildness, persuasion. (Zen's Christmas.) Orange: fascination. Yellow: jealousy, infidelity. Pale peach: Modesty. Burgundy: Unconscious beauty. Purple: Enchantment.
So for example if you gift someone a yellow rose, it's supposed to be jealous love. However the meaning might change if you put other flowers around.
In the Greek myth, Chloris, the goddess of flowers is said to have turned a beautiful, dead nymph into a rose, she invited Apollo to warm the bloom, Aphodite to lend it her beauty, Dionysus to add sweet nectar and the 3 Graces to supply charm, joy and magnificence. Chloris called her the Queen of flowers.
On a high note: I never liked roses because I thought of them to be too common. However, way before they were produced in mass, roses were so rare and difficult to find, so people would hold onto the petals even as they fell and dried. So it's interesting to know that, roses were once a symbol of fragility and rare.
Rhondanthe - Romance. Rose flower. According to Wikipedia, is supposed to be the name of a Corinthians Queen in Greek mythology who attracted a great name of suitors due to her beauty. Such beauty was a blessing and a burden so she sought protection in a friend and a goddess (different mythology here~ romans) Diana. The flower comes in pink and white. But there are little to no information that I could find for now~
BTW it seems this is another flower heavily associated with Adonis and Aphrodite myth. Also called paper daisy.

Peony - Happy life, happy marriage. Bravery. Bashfulness.
Also: Anger. Shame and ostentation.
The chinese call the peony "sho yu" meaning most beautiful. The ancient Chinese believed peonies were created by the goddess of the moon to reflect her beams at night. It was also viewed as a major healing plant. And in ancient Greece it was said that nymphs could turn themselves into peonies to avoid being seen by humans.
Paired with hyacinth and violet to apologize and ask for forgiveness.
Pair with: Foxglove as a gift for a secret admirer.
Pineapple - Cheerful welcome and warm reception. Symbol of hospitality. Good luck. I'm having a blast looking at Harry's flower cause he is definitely~ lolol
Apparently back in the day, it was really hard for European farmers to cultivate pineapples and it took them 200 years to make it work. So it became a symbol of royalty and privilege. You can read the whole story on the links, I'm not posting it because the post is getting so long~ but it's quite fascinating.
Primrose - The meaning is unconscious beauty. Winning grace. Also named as cowslip. (It seems Ray mentioned it's his favorite flower in a call.)
Pomegranate blossom - Elegance. Sanctity. Abundance. life, fertility. Eternal life. Good luck. Strength. Does anyone here remembers the myth of Persephone? I think these days it's one of our internet favorite couples lol so I won't really delve into it but~
I do want to point out the similarities between the games in the Cheritzverse and the myth. This however will be delved in another post and dropped into my References of pop culture~ masterlist I'm creating on the Cheritzverse.

Tulip - Declaration of love. Arrogance. Perfect lover. Smile of sunshine. Joy in love and life. Yellow: Friendship, beautiful eyes (Jaehee's Christmas. Found other tulips on Harry's route but they were orange.)
A Turkish legend tells us of two lovers who longed to be together, Ferhad and Shirin, but their love is forbidden. So when Ferhad hears rumors that Shirin has taken her own life, he kills himself in order to be with her for eternity. Tulips~ symbols of his devotion, spring up where his blood is spilled.
Tulips are iconic flowers from the Netherlands, although they originally came from Persia. It became really expensive after being introduced from Turkey.

Weigelas - faithfulness, grace and charm (Saeran Choi) Also: Riches. Maiden beauty.
Willow - (branches) bravery. Mourning, melancholy. Brought to Britain in the 18th century, originally from eastern Asia, usually lives by water, a trabquil slow-running river its favoured spot. Its branches are pendulous and low, and when the wind catches its leaves~ seems to be whispering sad and sorrowful things. The willow usually represents grief and sadness at the death of the lovers, remaining the same, trembling in the wind, watching the tragedy unfold. (See birthday flowers down below)

Final Notes:
It took me at least three weeks and I had some help to finish this post and it's not even fully finished 😭 while I don't like to post things like this, sometimes people around me have much more knowledge and can help me better. At this point it's kind of traumatic to publish it like this but please be aware I'm burned. I will keep updating. I just need to take a huge week or something because I also spent 3 days straight without sleeping because of stress so I'm posting this one and I'll edit it later on to add the stuff I didn't add yet like the mistletoe fairy and more on fairies.
I have yet to add some more from Dandelion, Nameless and The Ssum. If anyone wants to collaborate, do tag or rt with the flowers and dates of the guys of the Cheritzverse for me so I can update it with the new info. I'm already working on Harry's but it's taking me forever so any help it's welcomed and appreciated. You'll be added and credited ofc.
Tagging: @smol-grey-tea and @cherrychipheart who have been waiting for me all this time~ thank you so much♡
