Sadly, the contract for @fordprfct has come to an end, and he has to find new work. (although 4 years for what was supposed to be a 1 year contract isn't bad - and they jumped through hoops to keep him when his former contracting company was rejected.) I've seen through his coworkers' reactions, he's VERY good at what he does. Jobhunting is much more unpleasant. He works remotely, and I'm hoping someone might know of an opening for him, so here's what he does. I can tell you, he picks up new software challenges like a cat going after tuna.

Hello, gamers! 

It’s been over a month since I submitted my short interactive fiction game,"Help Your Unexpected Ghostly Roommate," to  Untitled Game Jam #75. 

I want to thank everyone again who played it! I really appreciate it!

Since my time of writing the game, I am currently seeking remote/work-from-home game writing work.

it’s been almost a year now… is the bg3 fandom finally ready to talk about how gale’s “hubris” is the sole product of actively feeding his insecurities further and straight up denying him help & guidance when he was at his lowest and needed it most. it’s not one of his core traits and never was. he isn’t some closeted power hungry monster that is just waiting to be enabled. what he wants is admiration, recognition and acceptance. which is also what he sought from mystra before the orb disaster happened. he had no desire whatsoever to become a god himself or challenge her rule, he simply wanted to be seen as sufficient in her eyes (“to serve her better”). to be as equal as he could possibly be in a relationship with a literal deity. he has a deep passion for magic and knowledge that affects almost all areas of his life and enjoys the display thereof. he wants to be the smartest person in the room and enjoys when his work is recognized. he may be perceived as arrogant when it comes to his skill, but he IS NOT hubristic. it truly takes so little for him to be wholly content.

I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

just bummed that this is overwhelmingly a story that revolves around Solas and not the main hero or our world states

the small connections to past decisions & ability to at least shape our heroes personalities made DA special to me in ways other games weren't

it rarely matters in the scope of the game, that I agree, but to say it's a negligible part of DA's identity or unimportant to players is silly and to hear that here of all places is nuts

on every DA-lover's blog is a beautifully answered ask about what their Heroes of Thedas decided and how they felt about it and how those scenes impacted them as a player
