Tim only had one mission tonight.

Investigate the abandoned Monarch Theater.

There had been reports of noises inside and lights turning on. The obvious answer is that a rogue is using it as a base and will eventually use it as a stage for an overly complex scheme. Perhaps it was Riddler, two-face, or most likely Joker, but they were all still in Arkham.

The problem was that Monarch Theater was on Red Hood's turf, and he didn't want anyone in the family there. It would have to be someone really stubborn and not afraid to make Jason mad to go there anyway. Fortunately, that was Tum favorite thing to do. As his little brother, that's basically his job.

Tim snuck into the back of the dilapidated theater to a crowded backstage with people scurrying around and preparing for a show.

None of them seemed to notice him as they focused on their tasks. Tim tried to get someone's attention when his hand phased through their shoulder.

Then the woman turned to Tim her eyes narrowed.

"What are you doing back here? Audience members are not allowed before the show. Are you here to drop off flowers or gifts? Please, hand them to an attendant and they will be delivered to the actor you want. You are not allowed to see the prince before the show. We don't want you disrupting his concentration. Please go back to your seat now." She rattled off as she shoved Tim off the stage and into the audience chamber.

There Tim saw a packed room full of....well ghosts. All of them waiting excitedly for the play to begin. But right in the middle was Jason eating popcorn like this was completely normal.

Jason looked up and saw Tim, they both froze.

Then the curtain rose and a silver-haired prince dressed in royal regalia stepped forward with his arms raised. The audience cheered and applauded at the sight of him.

"Welcome, my friends and followers to this week's show of "Walking on Stars". We hope you enjoy our heartwrenching drama tonight. We have two special guests in the box tonight. Martha and Thomas Wayne our dear patrons have joined us this evening. Let me be the first to welcome them tonight." The prince bowed.

Danny knew there was no stopping ghosts from invading the moral realm and a comprise needed to be made. Appeasing them is the easiest way to do it. They needed purpose and entertainment just like they did in life. After asking a few of his people what they wished for and adding some expansions to the realm Danny stared this project.

This abandoned theater in one of the most haunted spaces in Gotham was perfect to keep the spirits happy. Many people don't know this but ghosts loved theater. It is why theaters would sometimes keep two empty seats in the back just for the ghosts to watch and close on sundays and keep a stage light on just for the ghosts to perform for each other. This consideration goes a long way for the spirits and they have a deep appreciation for the arts.

Since then Danny has put on weekly shows of plays, concerts, and talent shows. It even drew the attention of the revenant that uses the area as his haunt. Out of respect, Danny invited him to come and he has his own reserved seat.

Tim ended up sitting next to a miffed Jason as they watched the show.

"Can't I just have something to myself?" Jason grumbled offering Tim his ghost nachos.

Jason didn't know why the food was so good but these ghost nachos were the best he ever had. Tim on the other hand couldn't taste them.

There was some curiosity about the comic I made so I decided to expand on this some more as a crossover au. More art under the cut

So Wander isn't in the Theraprism by accident. I mean, the people who work there are under the impression that he's responsible for the destruction of at least one galaxy, being a wanted man in a whole lot of them and seen everywhere, especially on planets that end up destroyed. Wander does nothing to directly refute this fact, because he knows why he's there. The axolotl, knowing that the Theraprism has this view of Wander, decides to bring him over and tell him the situation.

The Theraprism is a place bursting with the worst of the worst villains all in need of redemption. It's exactly the kind of place that needs a Wander, and he's more than happy to oblige. The plus is, since it exists outside of time, he could spend millennia there without missing a second with his friends out in the rest of the universe.

He gets to Theraprism and as he is wont to do, finds the worst of the worst of the worst and latches onto him as his 'new best friend'. And obviously, that's Bill.

Most of the villains Wander focuses on only realize what he's actually doing maybe halfway through, but Bill knows a lot of things. He's heard about Wander and has even gotten a glimpse of him throughout the universe through his all-seeing eyes. He knows this guy's M.O. and if this stinky little hillbilly thinks he's going to make an impact on THE Bill like he's done with all those other mushy losers all across the universe, he's got ANOTHER THING COMING.

(Then again, that's what they all say)

There are a lot of fun things to do with this AU, especially since these two do actually have some similarities, though because of Wander's mysterious existence, and origins, and age, and magical properties, some of it has to be speculation.

Patients are sometimes allowed to keep one or two personal effects if their removal would have drastic consequences for their mental health. Bill was personally checked in by The Axolotl and his hat is far too small to contain anything important, so it's fine. Wander's hat was checked and there was absolutely nothing in it, so that's fine as well. Two normal hats, nothing weird going on.

Hello friends! So last month I realized that one of the reasons I'm struggling to get my writing back up to my old speed is I am seriously out of practice since Dec/Jan when shit went down and I stopped writing for a while. After some thought, I decided I was gonna set up a little prompt challenge for myself, just a general, 'here's a prompt a day' thing for about a month. And I tossed this idea out onto my fave Daredevil discord server to see if anyone would want to join. And I'm happy to say there were takers, including some of my favorite writers in the fandom! So I've set up a delicious prompt challenge for all of us, and for anyone else who wants to take part.

For each day in October, there are three prompts: an 🌧️angst/whump prompt🌧️, a 🌻fluff prompt🌻, and a 🔥kink prompt🔥. Participants are free to choose which one of the prompts they want to write or make art of, or they can try to incorporate two, or even all three prompts into a single fic or art piece. They can write a short fic/make art every day, or just on whichever days they feel like (personally I'm going to shoot for one fic a day, but we'll see), or even incorporate those prompts into the chapters of longer fics. There are also four 'backup' prompt options for each category in case anyone hits a day or prompt where they aren't really feeling what's available on the chosen day. If any of these prompts inspire you, you can feel free to take on the Tuna-Tober challenge even if you're not in the server! This challenge is also not fandom-specific (although I have a feeling I'm mostly gonna write Charlie Cox characters, a surprise to precisely zero people, but again, we'll see).

guys. i could say that im very normal abt the update. but that would be a lie. and lying is bad. yeah. im nothing close to normal abt this whole thing im deranged.

theres so many details here.

Time seems to be more calm, the last update he was at the verge of screaming (to shut them all? to call for help to control all these links? who knows) now he looks very thoughtful, taking in every detail of the whole place to see if he can get some sort of puzzle solved

This question i feel like it has more impact that it looks at first, a lot of people are pointing out the little owl friend we saw at the first doodles of the AU, yeah the owl in oot was a yapper in all rule, but he was some sort of guidance during his journey

Twilight connects the owls to Shad, a guy who has a lot of knowledge and can help him at any moment if he needs some sort of information, Four remembers the owl that helped the colors during his second adventure, and Legend connects the owls to the statues in Koholint, together with the owl that gave him hints to where he had to go

Here it is made clear the point that i was talking before: Time recognizes that even if, for a kid, it was just an anoying bird, he helped him in some sort of way, and he should appreciated that small detail

putting that joke aside, Hyrule seems to be more careful inside a dungeon, sure he can try and explore all he wants outside, but he knows very well the dangers of a dungeon, and he would like to no take any risk that could put them in danger while he can help it

I love the continuity of the comic, we all knew these were the same statues as the one that Twi used to separate them from Sky, but seeing it being portrayed in the comic is a detail that i think we all appreciate

Twilight my guy you cant go and look all that innocent we know your tricks

also Sky still remembers that time, seeing Legend as a bunny will not be easily forgotten. And Legends knows it

it doesn't mean that he likes that little fact

here i have things to say, it makes sense that the antifairy goes first for Legend, he's like. one of the most magic-based of them. Sure maybe Hyrule is our special wizard guy, but the vet uses a shit ton of magic weapons, he has to have a crazy amount of magic with him adding the rings he has

Also them all ready to defend their vet, yeah it might not be fully dangerous, but they will show no mercy to whatever dares to hurt one of them (a silent promise that they all made with the Twilight situation)

Time's attention is instantly gained with the mention of a Fairy, he doesn't sees too much of his friends in that thing, and that gives him a bad feeling of why the name

i could easily do a well thought comment on how he's magical girl material but i think with only that description enough was said

Only with the thought of one of his fairy friends having such destiny makes Time be disgusted, a Fairy turned into an enemy? Doesn't sound right, it isn't natural and just cruel for the poor fairy

also Wind was ready to catch her, he knows how valuable are fairies during a dungeon, you never know when you will need her help

Warriors during his adventure he made friends with the fairies, so he obviously will have something for her

he's like a mom who knows her children very well and will carry any treats for them, not beating up the mom/aunt of the group allegations

and Wind give the poor fairy some time before entering the bottle, she must be confused :(

Actually, no, I'm not done talking about the Minecraft Movie. I'm so incredibly angry about what could have been. Rant incoming, sorry to any and all witnesses. All ye who enter here abandon all hope.

The Lego Movie was a good movie because it was an homage to animators and the community it had built up during the years, was genuinely very well animated and had good plot points despite maintaining its humor, and was a good watch to people who didn't even like Legos. It did have a couple big name actors placed in there to draw views (i.e. Will Ferrell) but for the most part the movie was completely animated with very sparse real life moments that worked very well to tie into the narrative the movie was creating. You're a little kid and the world is so big and angry and full of structure, and you just want to create the things you want to see without being told what to do. Emmett is an ordinary guy told he's special as a lie to get him to comply with what Vitruvius wanted, the same way he complied with orders his entire life, and he defeated that cycle of thinking by showing kindness despite his terrible treatment, unlike Lord Business (i.e. Will Ferrell). It worked astoundingly well to create something that ticked a lot of boxes: narratively sound, incredibly pleasing to look at, funny, and capable of handling serious topics despite being a Kid's Movie.

The Minecraft Movie... does none of that. There are no well placed homages or tributes to a loving community that has been built up for well over a decade. There are no callbacks to Minecraft animations, to any of the Minecraft covers that were a staple of early Minecraft, no references or respects paid to anybody that has been a big name in the community. For fuck's sake, they didn't even put Herobrine is. Herobrine is, to be frank, the most basic Minecraft reference they could have input into this movie as a subtle nod to the community that almost everyone would have understood, and I remain disappointed.

The art style isn't respectful of Minecraft animators at all, instead vaguely resembling AI slop where they tasked it to make Minecraft in real life with realistic shader packs as the references. To be quite frank, it is a spit in the face of almost every creative person in the community. It's disrespectful to the animators, the parody creators, the modpack creators (highly unlikely but I really hope they get in deep shit for using some of them as references, because it's almost uncanny how similar they look), the Minecraft content creationists, everybody. I know they let a scant few Minecraft youtubers on set, but still.... no well hidden easter eggs? No CaptainSparklez logo? No Yogscast? No EthosLab tnt slab? Not even any of the newer youtubers that have made the Minecraft scene up for the past several years. (Not talking about the green guy, god, no, I'm very grateful for that in fact. But nobody at all? Seriously?) I get that it's a MINECRAFT movie, not a Minecraft youtuber movie, and is supposed to be well-digestible for the average audience that isn't familiar with Minecraft, but there are very easy ways to implement this. Most people would at the very least be happy to see a couple seconds of community references, regardless of what they were. Again, NO HEROBRINE? What the fuck are the Warner Bros doing.

There appears to be no strong structural narrative that ties into the base game either, despite there being a... relatively straightforward way to implement one? Look, man, the game literally has objectives for you, despite being relatively sandbox. You spawn in, you chop wood, mine for diamonds, and fight monsters, you go to the Nether, you beat the dragon. The piglins as an element outside of the Nether don't make sense as gameplay wise they zombify, which has been mentioned a lot, true, but I haven't seen ANYONE mention that they could just... I don't know... Go to the fucking Nether!? Why is the plot line being pulled from Minecraft Legends, a game that everyone thought was boring and forgot about instantly? Why are Mojang and Microsoft trying so hard to branch out from base game Minecraft? So far it looks to just be a bullshit poorly carried out isekai movie with a bunch of big name actors, one liners, shitty quips and "he's right behind me isn't he"s. There's no SERIOUS plot beat at all, not even getting a feeling that this might be any more than "uh oh, they're stuck in Minecraft and piglins are trying to kill them!"

The CGI is terrible. Just incredibly poorly implemented. The people look gigantic at the start and it's not immersed at all, it genuinely looks like some of the worst green screen work I've ever seen. They look like they're standing on a rug.

I don't know. It just makes me incredibly angry. There's a deep lack of understanding and appreciation for the game, and that sounds childish, but I think it is decently imperative to at least understand the basics of Minecraft before you make a game on it. Most people under the age of 30 understand at least a little bit about Minecraft, and if they don't, it is your job to make it enjoyable for them! You can make a story about a man that washes up in a strange world and goes to kill a dragon. Everyone can understand that. That's a very basic story that we've been milking for literally hundreds of fucking years. Nothing in the trailer resembles Minecraft at ALL, it was genuinely unrecognizable and alien to me when I first saw it. The trailers don't have a strong resemblance to Minecraft either, but it's there, and they could have honestly just based it off mostly the trailers and that would have been better? Making the movie fully animated would have given it charm and appealed to kids in the same way, and they could have pulled a Lego Movie and done an in person sequence with Jack Black at some point. I don't know. I don't understand a single cinematic decision in making this film.

A lot of people wanted a deep somber animated film about Steve exploring the loneliness and solitude of the world he's in, trying to thrive and create in spite of that, and while I agree that would be incredible, there is just no universe where that would happen in. But that doesn't mean this is excusable. There are so many better ways to execute and implement the ideas that would do well in big theater for a kid's game and it looks like they spat on those ideas and put them in a blender. It's almost comical how bad the movie is: and such a huge, SAD fucking jump from Warner Bros blowing it out of the water with the Barbie Movie last year. My young cousin finds the pink sheep scary and wanted me to turn it off when we showed it to her. There is truly no audience that I feel this appeals to in a meaningful way, and I hope it flops like Morbius. I hope Microsoft and Warner Bros go bankrupt from this.

All in all, it's a terrible example of a game that has been near and dear to a lot of people's hearts and a significant portion of a lot of people's childhoods and makes a mockery of the people that enjoy it, I feel. It's like if The Mario Movie and Jumanji had a terrible, terrible baby. Unless their plan was to get so much negative attention that hoardes of people go to hate watch it, I have no fucking idea who the hell let any of this be released to the public.

Don't go watch it. Don't give these people your money. Demand better for your community and your fans. Hold Microsoft and Warner Bros accountable for bad quality. Microsoft has been a fucking nightmare since... forever, really, but Mojang has really suffered under their iron fist rule for a long time now. Microsoft has been trying to push Mojang to other games and Mojang, due to Microsoft's restrictions, is unable to function as it's own entity anymore. Any drama with updates? Updates too long? Missing out on content from certain updates? Caused by the copyright being owned by Microsoft. Make no mistake, I'm not defending Mojang, they aren't a small little indie company like they say they are- they're owned by one of the biggest goddamn companies in the world. Microsoft has been working on this movie for a goddamn decade and has been working on this concept specifically for almost four years, and this is what they came up with? It's nightmarish. Knowing them they'll try and push it onto the people that actually play the game too, god forbid.

Don't let them ruin our game. Don't give them your money. Watch something worth your time.

I want to be able to draw my diverse bodies like you. The way you draw them and also how they are desired by other characters, as a bigger person, also makes me feel seen. Im still a bit scared to draw bigger characters, the time a classmate asked me "why do you only draw fat characters" when i was pracricing bigger bodies still echos in my head, my sketch book was full of what i thought were skinny characters, and had only really drawn 2 bigger characters.

I don't remember which character this was, but you have a character that has a stutter and isn't made fun of for it! They are even intimidating. I had a nervous stutter as a teenager, and still do on occasion. I just love everything about your art, colors, line work, diverse characters, interesting dynamics, everything!!! We've talked before but I'm a bit shy to say all this off anonymous. Hope you have a wonderful day/evening/night!!

Well, firstly! I think you mean my version of Mixmaster! And I'm really happy to hear you feel so seen and empowered by him! I trip over and struggle with my words a lot, and I also found a lot of comfort in writing a character not get ridiculed for his stuttering. So I'm glad others do too!

And secondly. You will be able to draw more diverse body types with practice, I'm certain. I was honestly really surprised and upset finding how many people also questioned my art seeing me drawing more and more fat bodies. Asking me basically like "why do you draw so many fat people" but not pop quizzing me when I'd draw a skinny character. And like. It sucked! Sometimes it still sucks. How depicting bodies like mine and how I want my body to look someday brings in so much questioning and scrutiny I'd never get drawing only skinny people. But I draw fat bodies anyway. Because you know what? My art isn't For people offended or off put by having a fat body put in front of their eyes. Fatphobes can go find other art to look at not everything is for them even if they act like it. I hope you draw many many more fat bodies. For all the frustration that comes with other people being weird, it's really rewarding to allow yourself to actually draw your own body. And thank you for all the kind words. Fanfic prompt: during the final fight of windwaker daphnes didn’t antagonize ganondorf

And he , wind and tetra all came to an agreement that he can bring his people to Hyrule (or what remains of them because he was gone for a while)

And he quickly realized that the Gerudo and hylians cooperated enough that now there is nearly no full blood hylians and Gerudo

Because both were people and in enough desperation to throw race separation into the Dead Sea

Because there is no way both could survive by themselves (inspired by wind waker's round but pointy ear art style like they are SO round )

And now he has to drag everyone into Hyrule because he did say all his people would find a safe haven in his kingdom

And all the people are happy to go because living room is getting smaller with the rising population and Hyrule has a ton of land to offer

So many people go to Hyrule and the triforce wearers build the government up again

Tetra still has problems with ganondorf but she is also under no circumstances giving up her freedom to rule

So they just go and drag wind into the position of heir so that ganondorf has to give up the throne to someone she trusts with her entire life

Because she doesn’t want to be Zelda so he can be princess Zelda if he is this obsessed with fulfilling the king’s wish of a new land (she established the new land she did her part already now leave her alone destiny)

She does sometimes appear to throw in her five cents in during discussions

The Rito are happy to make peace but only if their savior who has saved their great Valoo ends up as part of the leading group

Everything’s going well and a small settlement has already been made and trade with the islands is going well

Ganondorf is insisting on reviving cultural traditions of the Gerudo tribe

And phantom hourglass was over in 10 minutes anyway so it still can happen in this story

Then linked universe happens and with the heir of new Hyrule just gone

Everyone freaks out badly because without the “princess” all agreements and alliances would be in danger

And a massive search happens

Everyone is pinching in because the new settlement could fall apart and the people can’t afford to lose their new homes

The Rito who probably consider the hero of the winds the next best thing after sliced bread

Ganondorf has to give the throne to the one who holds the name Zelda to appease the king (who hasn’t left and stayed salty over ganondorf living in his land

And Tetra and her crew are not going to lose their baby crew mate and she also genuinely doesn’t want to be Zelda

So when the chain appears in Wind's Hyrule they immediately get arrested for stealing the heir of new Hyrule

And time and the chain flips out when seeing ganondorf as the king of Hyrule

James had dragged them all down to the trophy room the day after the Quidditch Cup final, just so they could see his name on a shiny trophy. Sirius had told him the day before, that he’d already seen James’ name written on a lot of things, so he didn’t see the point. Upon seeing that James was a little hurt by that, he promised to go with them and ooh and ahh in all the right places. Pete was keen to go the whole time and Remus would obviously drag himself away from the book he was currently engrossed in, just to make James happy.

It turned out to be fairly anticlimactic. It was just the quidditch cup trophy he'd seen hundreds of times, now with ‘Gryffindor 1976’ written on it, but the shield, declaring James as captain of the winning team, among the shields of decades of prior winners, was pretty cool.

“It’s kind of weird how there are sports trophies, but there’s no art trophies, or congrats you’re really adept at herbology trophies. Or even kindness or bravery trophies. Why do we only give out trophies for sport?” James met Remus’ eye as Sirius continued. “Would it be so terrible for Dumbledore to announce the person with the best grades each year, or, I don’t know, the person who brewed the best potion?” He paused, “why are you looking at me like that? This is a great idea!”

“You’re not wrong.” Remus admitted, “It’s just unrealistic. We'd be there for hours.”

“Well fine, if Dumbledore won’t do it, I will!”

“Thank you for attending the Hogwarts alternative awards ceremony!” Sirius bowed slightly, “Tonight each of you will walk away with at least one award, and you’re gonna feel great about it! A reminder that these have been voted for by your peers, and it’s not just my opinion, because some of these choices are truly wild.”

“If you keep plying us with firewhisky, I doubt that we’ll feel great for much longer,” Remus said quietly, earning himself a glare from Sirius.

“Ok, the first award is ‘Best at potions’ and it goes to… Lily Evans!”

Lily rolled her eyes and collected the small trophy from Sirius. She then won ‘best at hexes’, which James confirmed enthusiastically.

“Best sportsmanship could only go to James!”

As the evening went on, Marlene and Dorcas won ‘cutest couple’, Marlene won ‘baddest bitch’ (to Sirius’ dismay), Mary won ‘most artistic’ and ‘kindest to creatures’, Pete won ‘Handy herbologist’ and ‘best at chess’, Lily won ‘best grades’ and Sirius won ‘best hair’.

James got out their emergency firewhisky stash, which didn’t matter as there was only a week of term left anyway. He was then awarded a spur-of-the-moment ‘best provider’ by Sirius personally.

The alcohol was hitting all of them pretty hard. Sirius sat on his trunk to continue presenting.

“Ok, the next award is ‘hottest person (that you’ve never dated)’, and the winner is… Remus.”

Remus stared at him, “uh, the fuck?” He said, eloquently. He gestured for Sirius to throw his award to him. Getting up felt difficult. “Uh, thanks?”

James wolf-whistled as Remus’ cheeks went pink. The next award was ‘most books read’ which also, unsurprisingly, went to Remus.

And the final award of the night is ‘kindest person’, and that award goes to…” Sirius rolled his eyes, “who else? Moony!”

Remus covered his face with his hands. He was officially too drunk for people to be this nice to him. “Thank you.” He muttered.

“This concludes the 1976 alternative awards night, please feel free to stay and drink and make an arse of yourself, at least until Moony wants to go to bed, then you have to fuck off.” Sirius took a small bow and then plonked himself on the floor next to Remus. “Alright?”

Remus chuckled softly, “Yeah, a bit drunk and overwhelmed but in a nice way.”

“Because people have recognised that you read books and that you’re kind and hot?”

“I guess?” Remus resisted the urge to cover his face again. “This was a great idea, by the way. We should do this next year, too.”

“Yeah? Alright, but I’ll probably need a cohost.” He fluttered his long eyelashes at Remus.

“I’m sure Prongs will make a delightful cohost.” He said with a wolfish grin. “But I suppose if you want me, I could probably do that.”

Sirius froze, “If I— Oh, cohost, right. Yeah.”

“Alright?” Remus frowned, “You’ve gone all pale.”

“I might need some air,” Sirius said quickly, heading toward the window. Remus pulled himself to his feet and followed.

Sirius opened the window and sat on the ledge with his back against the wall, Remus mirrored his position, their legs tangled together in the middle. Sirius pulled out his cigarettes, lit one between his lips, passed it to Remus, and then lit one himself.

“Why do you get all weird when people call you hot?” Sirius said after a while.

“Fuck, straight in with the tough questions tonight.” Remus grimaced. “I suppose deep down I don’t believe it.” He said quietly. Sirius could barely hear him over the party in the middle of their dorm. “Not in a self-pitying way or anything, I just don’t see what other people see, I guess.”

Sirius stared at him, “I guess you don’t.” He frowned slightly, “It goes beyond hot, Moons.” Remus’ eyes snapped up to meet his. “You’re beaut—”

“Not interrupting anything I hope!” James interrupted. “The girls want to play games and Pete and I feel very outnumbered.” He took a closer look at his friends both with and over his glasses. “Oh shit, did I actually interrupt something?”

“No!” Sirius flicked his cigarette out of the window, hopped off the windowsill and sat back on the floor. Remus followed him and sat a little closer than he had been before, their hands touching on the rug.

Imo twst can be enjoyed any way you want wether it's as a game you get invested into with the cards and stuff or just vibe w/ the fandom and appreciate the characters and stories through maybe fics or art or anything ! No need to even play the game.

Though the game does have aspects I appreciate like the guest room or judt being able to have your guys on the main screen and poke them non-stop, sometimes it also reminds me that "oh right this character is like that I kinda forgot" or just appreciate their seiyuus. (I try to guess who says "twisted wonderland" whenever Iopen the game and fail miserably necause I play 90% of the time w/ no sound :))))

+ When you look at it you see how much effort was put into the game and that it is loved, I'm honestly loving the lineless backgrounds !! + the costumes for event cards are always detailed, there was research put into the harveston or masquerade outfits !! (And the others as well tbh) + the soundtrack !!! Idia's dorm theme my beloved, I should really start chapter 6.....

(Though I get the infodump part, I have nobody I know irl playing the game so from time to time I do infodump on a friend (sorry 🙏))

Hi Skye!! I don't have enough art or writing to do five, so I'll do some of each.

Burning Skies: My first (and so far only) multichapter fic, in which I am very mean to Sky, the boys go dungeon crawling, and hugs are had. It has a lot in common with your Elastic Heart, I think. I took advantage of the setting and played with the Chain's items and monsters. Bouncing between perspectives was so much fun, and having people comment as I posted each chapter was incredibly rewarding. Zola drew some amazing art for it.

Courage comes in many forms: This is the silliest thing I have ever written. AoL Link learns the Cucco spell, with a bonus bit of LU at the end. Very short and good for a giggle. Zola also did art for this one.

Deterioration: For the ultimate whiplash, here is the angstiest, whumpiest thing I have ever written. I really don't know why it's on this list, but I only have six published fics to choose from, so here it is. I'm gonna preface it by saying that it's the result of me going, "Aren't you glad healthcare workers are so caring?" and my dumb angsty brain going, "Yeah, what if they weren't?" and running with it. Also me thinking too hard about how [spoiler] came to be. Hyrule becomes an unwilling test subject and has a terrible week. Someone get this boy a snack and hugs STAT.

Yes you've seen this before, but it's probably my best work. The Yiga from Dad Squad come for Sky Link and are unprepared to face the fury of a protective loftwing. I am still really proud of the pose and colors on the loftwing, and I still giggle at the Yiga. Link is blissfully unaware😌

And finally, the art I drew inspired by your Fluffvember snippet. You've seen this one too haha. Seeing it always makes me think of that fic and brings that same feeling of calm I felt that first time reading it. It's nice to know that I can draw fluff even though I apparently can't write it😅

Something's on my mind...

Hey guys! Marshall here! I know I haven't posted anything in a while now, sorry about that, been busy with life stuff...but I just had to talk about something that's been on my mind for a couple weeks now. A couple weeks ago, I discovered that another favorite childhood show of mine (and honestly, I still like it) has an adult fandom that is big enough to create an entire documentary about it. That show being Thomas the Tank Engine. This information has made me curious about how many teen/adult PAW Patrol fans are out there in the world. One day I would love to see about making something for all of us that's not a full-on documentary but just a YouTube video or something to showcase that PAW Patrol has older fans and (this one means the most to me as an autistic person who gets made fun of by even my own dad for having PAW Patrol as a special interest...and don't even get me started on the bullying I have faced just for carrying PAW Patrol merch around) to hopefully help normalize liking things that people our age "aren't supposed to like". I do have a YouTube channel with this same username "MarshallFan99" but I haven't posted anything to it because I had planned for it to just be a channel used for commenting on PAW Patrol stuff, but if I can collect interviews from the PAW Patrol fans here on Tumblr (as well as share my own story with this show of course), I might be able to compile them into a video of some sort about what PAW Patrol means to its older fans and how we all come together over our love for these adorable pups, as well as to showcase the different things we do in this community since we all contribute to the fandom in different ways (posting art, writing fanfiction, making analyses of various aspects of the show, making character analyses, giving thoughts and reviews on the latest episodes, sharing our merch collections, making character-specific appreciation posts, sharing headcanons...and that's not even all the stuff I've seen).

And yeah, I know the PAW X Project was made last year but that mostly focused on PAWTubers. I want to showcase the Tumblr side of things (as well as the types of things we do on here) since this is the largest community of older fans I've ever been part of, and it made me so happy to find it because I finally felt a sense of belonging. So I wanna make something that can bring us all together and help show people that there's nothing wrong with liking it, especially since it's clear the creators know that we exist since they make PAW Patrol t shirts specifically in adult sizes (I have two of them).

So I guess what I'm saying is, if you'd like to be part of something like this, just let me know and we can talk about what to do! If you're not comfortable with it, that's okay too! Just let me know either way! And if you know someone who might wanna be part of something like this, feel free to share this post with them!

I said I would do a headcanon post about Yiga Clan wedding ceremonies, so Here! I! Go! (If you're interested but missed it, here's a post about proposal headcanons.) Time for so many details and a very long post. Also, just at the outset, I wanna say that the other reason I've been thinking about this stuff recently (in addition to real world reason of me and my girlfriend getting engaged), is that my Kohga and Sooga just got married in an RP. So I'll be using examples from their wedding alongside others, in this post!

Preparation/Background

It should come as a surprise to no one that Master Kohga officiates all weddings. If a Master Kohga is getting married, their Right Hand will do it. If the Master is marrying their Right Hand (which is on the rare side but hey, Kohga's Nana also did it!), another high-ranking member of the Clan will do it. For Nana Kohga's wedding, it was the most senior historian, who had been friends with her father. For the recent nuptials, it was current Kohga's former Right Hand/sort-of-pseudo-uncle and Sooga's mentor, the very respected elder Blademaster Chisao.

Weddings are held outside, in the circular area by the chasm, like many of the Clan's festivals are. They start in the late afternoon (for whatever season they're happening in), so that afterward, a big dinner feast can be held indoors before the party commences back outside (after some of the seating is removed to allow room for dancing, etc).

The outdoor area is hung with lanterns as well as the strings of protective noisemaker talismans, and a tower is placed and hung with even more lights. This structure is reminiscent of those used for the Japanese Obon festival ("Creating a Champion" states that some design elements for Master Kohga and the Clan were inspired by Bon Odori dance!), but with Yiga flair. A similar decorative piece can be seen in the hideout in the games (see above left). It serves a couple of purposes. First, masks of the couple's ancestors are brought from the Complex's shrine and carefully hung around the sides of it. Second, that's where the band is placed!

That's an excellent segue to say that music also plays an important role in wedding ceremonies. An ensemble traditionally consisting of taiko (also seen in the above left image), shamisen, shakuhachi and shinobue plays background music throughout the ceremony, with specific cues/phrases/flourishes accompanying specific events. (It may be noted that a similar combination of instruments is used in kabuki theater; several elements of the Clan were also inspired by this art form.)

The marrying couple wears their very best clothes, of course, and polish up their masks for the big day! Formal attire is, again, similar to Japanese garments but not exactly (since the Sheikah and Yiga are Japanese-inspired but not...literally Japanese). A wedding is cause to wear long furisode-like sleeves and fancy-patterned haori, kimono, and hakama combos. Oftentimes, because these garments require fine fabrics that would be harder for the Clan to come by, parts of a person's wedding outfit are passed down through their family and re-tailored to them. The Clan does of course have a whole group of people who make clothes, and their training includes embroidery and silk-painting for just such special occasions! If you didn't think Kohga had a haori with Dinraal embroidered in gold thread on the back and phoenixes and Inverted Eyes painted in patterns all over it, you would be WRONG. He also wore his father's black wedding hakama! And Mama Hotaru's long and gorgeous wedding robe was black with a pattern of softly painted insects on it, in an homage to her family's naming tradition; it originally belonged to her own great-grandmother, who shared her name.

Ceremony

The ceremony begins with the officiant welcoming the Clan on this happy occasion and declaring that the date is "AUSPICIOUS!" I plan to do a post about Hyrule's calendar and associated "astrology"-type beliefs but for now suffice it to say that one could come up with a way that almost any day is auspicious (since nobody would want to say someone's wedding day is cursed or something), but couples do very often try to schedule their weddings for particularly positive dates (as I said in the last post, they have to wait at least six months--it doesn't have to be exact).

The couple is then called to approach from either side of the area. They are each accompanied by two family members--usually parents if possible. If not, more extended family or in the absence of any family, friends can do it. For example, Kohga's the last of his family lines aside from distant-er cousins, and Sooga wasn't born in the Clan, so Chisao's children (who both men are close with) stepped in. These four people act as assistants to the couple in various parts of the ceremony! It may be noted, that on each side, there is a group of three.

Yiga wedding ceremonies, like so much else they do, are meant to reinforce not only the joining of two individuals but the bonds that join the whole Clan together. For that reason, they involve several call-and-response-type declarations that all present participate in, and many references to the Clan's history.

The officiant recites the following: "Our Clan was born of conflict. May you weather any in your path. / Our Clan as ever weeps the blood of our fallen ancestors. May their spirits raise you up. / Our Clan has turned betrayal on its head. May you remain ever true." The last of these lines is accompanied by a gesture toward the speaker's mask, evoking the symbolism of the Inverted Eye.

There are two major sections of the ceremony that each require an exchange of three things, between the couple. The first of these sets involves three liquids: saké, water, and blood. The couple's assistants will pour them dishes of saké, which they then exchange and drink, and then the same is done with water. The saké represents the time, patience, and effort that must be put into a marriage, as preparation of the drink surely requires such care. The water represents life and replenishment--and it's not just any water, but some taken from the especially healthful spring at Satori Mountain (which I've said previously, the Clan has strong ties to)!

(NOTE: For this and one other notable part that involves eating/drinking, the partners lift their masks only enough to imbibe.)

For the blood, the couple are each handed a special knife with which they cut their palms. Carefully--it isn't meant to be a super deep cut, just enough to produce drops of blood. The couple then hold out their hands toward each other, palm down so those droplets fall to the sand. Their assistants then wrap the cuts with red bandages. The symbolism is multi-fold: to show the joining of blood/family, the willingness to endure pain and hardship for each other, and, since the blood is dropped to the ground, the Clan's connection to the land and its energy.

(NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT take this headcanon as some suggestion that I think the Clan is some kind of ~weird blood cult~. I absolutely do not think that. The Clan was born of a bloody conflict/betrayal. They have not forgotten this, nor will they forsake the blood, both in terms of family and in terms of bloodshed, that ties them together. I thus think it's reasonable to headcanon that the concept and symbolism of blood--as well as actual physical blood--are present in some of their rituals/traditions. There's nothing creepy or evil about it. It is meant to be a meaningful, loving exchange and promise. Please please do not willfully misunderstand me. Thank youuuu~ <3)

The second set of exchanges is of three gifts. This section of the ceremony begins with everyone present reciting the following together: "Our strength is in our edges. Our might in what we take. Our bond is what defines us. All three, our family make." Each of these three concepts is represented by the gifts, which are brought forward to the couple in succession by further family members or friends. (As in, someone brings the gift to the giver, who then offers it to the receiver.) For example, Sooga's helpers for this section were three of his most recent Blademaster trainees, who had all recently passed their tests!

"Strength" is represented by a weapon. The Yiga have always been willing to fight for their beliefs, and more importantly to protect themselves/one another. They have a strong culture of martial arts and weapons training. So, each member of the couple offers the other a weapon of some significance to them. The exchange is typically symbolic; if a woman gives her intended the vicious sickle she uses on missions as her Strength gift, the idea is that when she uses it going forward, it's in his honor. However, if a man gives his intended a meaningful family heirloom weapon that isn't in use anymore, the couple will continue keeping it among their belongings together. See? Kohga's father gave Hotaru his eightfold longblade, and she gave him a (carefully sheathed) poisoned dagger. Sooga gave the longblade Kohga first presented to him, at the ceremony when he became a Blademaster years before. The words of exchange for this gift are: "I give you this, my strength. / Will your strength defend my body? / I will protect you with all my strength. / Then this I accept."

"Might" is represented by, you guessed it, mighty bananas. A bunch is brought to each person, who selects one and peels and feeds it to their intended. I know we Earth gamers think the bananas are kinda funny, but to the Clan, they're quite the opposite. Food is serious business when you're a marginalized community considered wanted criminals by the outside world. For the purpose of a wedding, the exchange means the couple are promising to provide for one another as well as possible. (To clarify, the Clan is very highly communal about resources, but the thought here is that one party would go without to allow the other to eat if necessary, and that regardless both will do their part within the Clan as a whole, etc.) It's not even just about food; it symbolizes caretaking in general. The words of exchange for this gift are: "I give you this, my might. / Will your might nourish my soul? / I will care for your with all my might. / Then this I accept."

"Bond" is the most personalized of the three, and the associated gift is something that represents the individual giver! It may be an item they crafted, or something else that shows off one of their skills or interests. The idea is that the giver is offering themself to the receiver--something that makes them, them! There are so many possibilities, too, as the gift may be an object to keep, or something more abstract or ephemeral. For example, a member who makes clothing for the Clan might weave a garment or blanket for their intended. A cook might offer his partner her favorite food, prepared fresh right before the ceremony, to eat a few bites of on the spot. Hotaru's Bond was her music, in the form of a shamisen song she composed. Her son followed in her footsteps and went a step further, with a poem too! The words of exchange for this gift are: "I give you this, my bond. / Will your bond shelter my heart? / I will hold your heart in mine forevermore. / Then this I accept."

Following this exchange, the couple recites: "We grow in strength. We grow in might. Our bond is unbreakable. All three we pledge, that we will grow in love."

If the Master is a party to the ceremony, there's an additional section here. The other partner says, "I vow to serve you with my body, soul, and heart, and to follow where you lead forevermore." Then the Master says, "I vow to keep you with my body, soul, and heart, and to lead you ever with your joy in mind." And finally, they say in unison, "You are my guiding star, from now into eternity."

The final bit is a general vow recited together, as follows: I am with you through your joys and all your trials. I am with you by your side or over miles. I hold you as the sky holds sun and stars. Where my heart is, ever there you are. I pledge my life to you and to our Clan. To the future and our master plan. We join our souls together with our kin. Together may we all life's battles win!

AND THEN! As the couple JOINS HANDS for the first time as SPOUSES! The ENTIRE ASSEMBLY! Shouts with ALL THEIR MIGHT: "Glory to Master Kohga! Glory to the Yiga Clan! Long days and nights to the love of [name] and [name]!"

Post-Ceremony

Well then it's feast time!

And then it's party time! Bring on the bonfires and bananas and saké and music and chatter and dancing and--

Speaking of which, during the after-party, the newly-married couple will start off the dancing by performing one together while holding on to a red silk cord between them. Symbolizing, again, the joining of their souls and fates, and also the need to work together carefully in walking the path of life.

Additionally, as I have brought up several times in previous headcanon posts of mine, following the wedding ceremony, couples are now considered family and can see each other's true, un-magicdisguised, -masked, or -veiled faces. This is a big deal! (I do find it quite romantic, that partners court each other without knowing for sure what the other looks like. As I have said before, if both grew up in the Clan they will likely recall things like hair and eye color, but Yiga start wearing veils around everyone but their close family quite young and get their masks at the start of the year they are to turn eleven. So, what your partner's face looks like as an adult, or at all if you've truly never seen/paid attention to them before...well, it's something to anticipate!) Couples are given leave from work to go have a brief honeymoon away from the Complex if they wish, to go unmask each other and spend some good time together. A traditional place to do this is Satori Mountain, since most other people keep away from it anyway. <3 <3 Those who don't want to leave, get to stay in a sleeping room set aside just for this private purpose, instead!

Final Notes

Just wanted to point out, if it wasn't obvious, the threes in the ceremony. Three people on each side of the rituals, three liquids, three gifts. While the Yiga's particular wedding traditions have grown and changed from Ancient Sheikah customs over the millennia, to the point where Yiga marriage ceremonies have only a little in common with the older ones (and are quite different from contemporary Kakariko Sheikah ways), one small detail is the presence of threes. I headcanon that the Ancient Sheikah often utilized the number three in their various rituals and customs, to reference the Triforce, the three Golden Goddesses, the three major Springs across the land where Hylia is worshipped and their three attendant dragon spirits, etc. Some Yiga traditions also involve threes, despite that they've renounced their service to Hylia and to any deity in general. After all, even apart from that, three is an auspicious and satisfying number.

Master Kohga loves officiating weddings, it's one of his favorite parts of being Master Kohga. <3 It just delights him to his core, to see two of his fellow Clan members in love and getting together, and he really helps everyone make it a special day. (Weddings are an occasion when he's most likely to join the band for the party, twanging away on his shamisen...or two. He can make a double of himself. And use it to play duets! How fitting!) He's done the ceremony so many times over the course of his (so far) twenty-five years as Master, that he knows all the words by heart.

Which are more, for the officiant to say, than I've written out here. There's more that accompanies each exchange, for example. But this post was already six million miles long. So I'm going to end it now.

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody
