I just now realised that the Feh calendar says that we're getting a legendary hero this month, despite getting one last month (Aka Legendary Robin)
Though it does make sense. We very randomly got 2 Mythic units back in January after all (Gotoh and Formortiis who we should be getting a free version of soon? Seeing as he won this year's AHR)
I'm both curious to see who this month's Legendary'll be... but seeing as we're about 2 weeks away from the baby banner and sometime afterwards the fallen banner (which just so happens to be my favourite banner), I'm really hoping it's not a character I'd want.
At the same time I have a bit of bad luck in accidentally predicting where characters I want appear in a future banner. So for all I know this month's legendary could be Male Corrin, Soren, or Male Shez. Like those are the only characters that'll make me summon on this month's legendary banner, I have zero interest in anyone else.

Someone on the subreddit made a possible fallen alts post and it legitimately has me question the entire fandom like - a majority of the choices are just "characters who sided against the main characters at some point", like the Birthright characters on Conquest and Conquest characters on Birthright. Like in what way does simply siding against the mc make a character "fallen" or "evil"?? Rhea on CF is also listed even though we have Fallen Rhea from SS!
I saw that one! Just speaking to the games I know I think a lot of them make sense, even if the justifications are just blatantly wrong. The 3H slide is probably the most "I was reaching" one to my eyes. The emblem versions of all the lords are also a biiiiiiit of a stretch until we see actual emblem alts of the characters, IMO.
For Houses/Hopes CF Rhea and AG Edelgard seem like a bit of a stretch just because they'd basically just be the same as their SS Rhea/AM Edelgard counterparts... like I don't see why they'd bother reusing them unless they were really hurting for options (and clearly they aren't, Fates alone could fill like six fallen banners by itself if they wanted).
Fallen!Byleth (not emblem) also seems like a stretch since they're apparently referencing exactly one thirty second cutscene where Sothis is temporarily in control of Byleth's body. Monica seems redundant since her "fallen" form is just Kronya and they've already done Kronya, and Jeritza as a fallen is like... that's just how he is all the time lol, unless there's something in SB that I'm missing. I've already bitched enough about how fallen Marianne is deeply ingrained fanon/headcanon with extremely minimal basis in actual canon.
From the 3H slide I think only Aelfric, Dedue, Miklan, and the Shezes really make sense as options. The former three all have clear human forms that they lose and turn into monsters, and Shez's Arval takeover only lasts for a chapter but I could reasonably see a "what if" scenario kind of like they did with the Corrins not getting their dragonstones.
The Fates slide is kind of "right church, wrong pew" in that most of the characters make sense, but as Heirs of Fate alternatives not BR/CQ alternatives. Every father character features in Heirs of Fate as an Anankos puppet so any of them could technically work for the theme. Similar deal with Mikoto, Arete, and Sumeragi, they all appear as Anankos puppets in Rev.
Gunter would also work, though he's almost definitely not going to be getting any sort of alt because of real world concerns (his JP VA died before FEH even released. All of his JP lines for his base form are recycled from Fates and because of the way Japan does voice acting, we can assume the character is retired from here on out unless they're willing to recycle more lines from Fates). Anakos would also be an obvious pick but IIRC he shared a VA with Gunther (at least partially, he might have had two different VAs one for the human and one for the dragon form or something so the circumstances might be slightly different for him). But I don't blame OP for not necessarily knowing that and they do fit the theme.
I'm not sure what they're referencing with Flora and Rhajat (it's been a hot minute since I replayed Fates) so I hesitate to say they wouldn't work, but idk. I think the only stretch there is Anthony just because no one is gonna pull for a random NPC child and IIRC he's just always like that, he never really "fell".
The Engage slide mostly makes sense actually. The only questionable one is the character who is brainwashed for like one chapter and then is literally fine, but I'm sure if they wind up being popular IS would be willing to do another "what if" type thing for them.
I think for Awakening the OP only pulled out Risen King!Chrom which... honestly I can definitely see. IS considers Cipher ideas fair game for these banners (e.g. F!Ike) and Chrom being a fairly popular main character is definitely going to be considered for a banner carry slot.
I definitely played SoV but only once in 2015 because I didn't like it that much and I literally don't remember enough of it to say if any of those options are bad picks lmao.

I always review the fallen units so...
Here we are again. I don't usually skip these banners because they tend to involve interesting characters, and this year is no exception.
It seems there was a bit less effort than other times, but the plot seems interesting at least. Let's go one by one:
Lilith: I think she comes from that paralogue with the Awakening trio? The thing is that many Fates characters can be seen as fallen. Those that we found in Valla (Mikoto, Sumeragi, Scarlet) are a similar case. Gunter could receive the Orson-Dimitri treatment too. She'll surely bond with Corrin and perhaps Jakob/Felicia/Flora, but don't know how much. Revelations' plot was a bit lacking. Either way, I wish good luck to Anankos fans, because their hopes might have gone up.
Ninian: this is from one of the most heartbreaking chapters of the story. I'm sure the spoiler will be adressed but not mentioning it myself until I see Forging Bonds' dialogue. This time it was more relevant than other characters having brief possession/lack of control. But it still reminds me that Uhai, who was in that island, can't still be voted for CYL. At least, I have hopes of seeing Nergal as a mythic, and Athos if we ever get the Blazing Blade banner that we deserve. She also makes sense as a future ascended unit, but Nils could also be there.
Gustav: so this is why Alfonse had that edgy moment last chapter? So now Letizia somehow summons dad and she wonders why tf she got intimidated? I like seeing that he wasn't a scrapped idea, but will only be satisfied if Sharena gets what she deserves. At least I have hopes for FĂĄfnir.
Rhea: this was one of the obvious options. I guess 3H can still have Dedue, Miklan... I guess we can't hope for a support with Sothis considering what happened in Halloween? We'll probably get another "political" dialogue, at which 3H really sucks.
Muarim: just checked, and he's one of those characters that don't deserve that pain. I wonder how many Tellius characters were treated like that? Also curious about how will the art/quotes/skills be.
Surprised that Risen King Chrom is not there yet, but it would be a Chrom overdose, this year. I wonder why people seem to think that Leo will also get a fallen version. His Cypher card is more ambiguous than Chrom's. It could be him in his usual dark mage aesthetics.
Also, Funeral of Flowers is one of the best 3H soundtracks.

HEADCANONS  ✴ —— accepting!
LUCINA AND LAUGHING.
For all of Lucina’s intelligence, ‘Lucina has a rather [dry sense of humor, and is the least likely to get a joke out of all the Shepherds] ‘.
While in hindsight this is...funny? It’s honestly understandable. In Garreg Mach, Lucina is hiding a lot of things. For one, the Exalt / Holy King’s diadem and Falchion whose power has been...nulled due to the conditions of the setting of our story. She will accept being called a Princess, as in the ‘past’ she is a Princess. In her present, she is an Exalt / Holy King like her Father, and such weight especially in a literally dying world, her kingdom slowly but surely falling apart if not for the survivors who came with her to guide the past Shepherds?
It’s really understandable that she of all the future kids has the most burden and pressure riding on her shoulders. Every mistake is her fault in her mind, and imagine that tripling if not even further due to what happens. She’s their ruler, their friend, and their leader. She’s training and monitoring armies, allies, enemies and Risen. She’s watching flowers wilt and cities and villages thought impregnable fall by Grima’s claws and wings. His Grimleal.
She has her own Mother, as mine is F!Robin, become possessed and kill her own Father, although who did it is a mystery to a girl who literally became king at an extremely early age. Meaning her short period of laughter and merriment did not last her long, if anything it died screaming. That she remains a blinding light and the embodiment of hope in her canon is...really something? But laughing? Yes, that is not something she can do so easily or rather I honestly think Lucina has been so conditioned by a storyline even by Fire Emblem standards is...unimaginably tragic and horrific if not for Lucina defying her own fate and still salvaging bits of her kingdom / halidom and guiding the original Shepherds? She chooses hope over her tragedy, which doesn’t make her simply a ‘tragic figure’. But still, it took away her laughter. It took away a lot of things.
She has a very dry sense of humor and is more likely to be sarcastic in the face of danger, something she’s admittedly far more unflappable than ANY person should be to cope. Sometimes her humor can be dry in the face of someone being overtly silly and ridiculous, and more likely with Cynthia, Inigo or Morgan, Owain by far is a given. She tends to laugh and joke and salvage what remains of that little princess who had to become king too fast and too young with children, as seen in her chapter of the Comic Anthology! She openly giggles and laughs with whoever you make her Mother, and giggles with friends as the supports deepen. In the hardest of decisions, as the Future Kids / Second Gen Shepherds leave, they all reunite making FUN of Lucina’s fashion sense.
They all start laughing until they burst into tears of both joy and pain at being together, at being alive, at still holding their Ylisse somehow alive in each other. Which implies it’s not only JUST Lucina who hasn’t been laughing for a long time, but they’ve been soldiers and the main and final bastion of their world for too, too long. Lucina only reinforces that as she guides Chrom and Robin with her intel about the future as its Exalt and how it can be defied and changed, how it must be defied and changed.
I’d say Lucina openly laughs with only a few people, family, close friends, like Severa, who is arguably her best friend, Laurent, who always worries because she...is too selfless to her detriment. Although Kjelle is a contender! Owain for his oddities and her own, is a given as is Inigo! Frankly they all are her equally best friends because differences aside they are hers and she is theirs! She loves them like a Shepherd, a King, found family, and an unconditionally loving friend.
But when she does, it’s a rare, pure, tinkling sound, kind of like wind chimes or bells ringing, something pure and untainted and kind and gentle!
Because Lucina isn’t tainted not for plot armor, but by the sheer, immaculate strength she has as a person. That laughter probably sounds like both a protective embrace or even a dry chuckle. Either way, when she laughs it honestly depends on the situation? If she sees things repeat is it a bitter chuckle at feeling like a failure when she isn’t? Is it a happy laugh from her battered and bleeding heart at feeling what peace must have felt like before she forgot it? Is it the very hope and light she embodies when she’s genuinely, truly happy or pleased with something or touched? It really depends on the person, but Lucina never mockingly laughs at anyone. You may earn her distrust, you may not be her favorite person, and while she is insanely benevolent, she will never trample on someone else.
She knows what it’s like to see beloved things trampled to begin with, more than anyone. So she’d never laugh. But she’s usually very cautious about jokes, knowing her seriousness can often take charge as both commander, ruler and embodiment of hope. It’s a hard thing to break when you’ve been that way most of your life, and it’s also part of your personality, while your Father, more down-to-earth and touchable, whereas Lucina has a regal distance to her, kind of like a star that vanishes? Is the one you’d go to if you wanted to joke around with him. She affectionately envies her Father for being far more lax and not care-free, but able to have moments of it.
But yes, laughing is painful for Lucina when... you really haven’t been given any reason to laugh for years, and even more brutally, ever again. But because Lucina refuses to be a ‘tragic victim’ but a triumphant figure and leader? She ultimately will even if it’s rare, end up laughing.
It just will take time. Even if the healing / trauma  never will. After all how could we possibly imagine what she and her flock have been through?

I actually really like that Fallen Banner ! It's pretty neat !
- First M!Corrin, it was kinda confirmed we'd get him but good for him. I like his face.
- Lyon ! His artwork is very cool, can't wait to see the full version of it. Also "Gehahahahahaha".
- Julia ? Julia ! I don't think Julia gets like this at some point in her canon but hey I love fallen Julia. I might try to summon her.
- Berserker Ike from Cipher. My favorite of the banner in all honesty. First of all he proves we could get other alts from the ciphers like Risen King Chrom or Berserker Wrys. Second of all his artwork is very neat. Third of all and final reason I love him : Greg Chun sounds super scary and I live for it.
- No 4* focus... That's a bit mean Intsys, give us a good demote for once !
- And the GHB is Ashnard. It's cool for Tellius Fans, not so cool for Soren.
It's a great banner and I hope we'll get more like this ! I hope you fav get in heroes !
(Fallen Miriel tho)
EDIT : I have been informed that Fallen! Julia is actually canon. Thanks everyone !

Alright yo! I think it's time we spice things up differently! Rather than focusing on Lucina alongside her husband, we're gonna be turning our attention to (still male) Robin and Chrom's friendship, while also keeping things pretty angsty. The idea goes that Robin decides to approach Chrom after murdering Validar in revenge for his mother and almost killing his friends, and the two talk it out for some closure like best buds usually do, talking about how they can improve themselves after...
Tumblr media
(๑˃̶͈̀o˂̶͈́๑) I hope I brought this prompt to it’s full potential! It was a bit hard to write but I hope it brings you enough satisfaction.
pairing: Platonic Chrom x Robin
words: Under 1k
Robin felt exhausted. Grima was in the sky, and their next destination was Naga in some far off mountain. He trusted Tiki when she said to follow her to meet her mother but Robin needed a moment. He needed a few hours to pause and process everything in his head. He needed to have a moment to not think. He’s so tired of the killing, surviving, just trying to live in such a high hostile world. His heart rate picks up as he thinks about the world that Lucina lived in.
She was in constant danger, having a moment to themselves was probably impossible due trying to repair walls and sharpening tools. Training and taking care as much as you could in such world. What a cruel world, to have Grima constantly hanging over your head as you’re trying to survive with your family even though everyone is dying off one by one and you can’t do anything about it. The helplessness is horrible as he thinks about it. He doesn’t like it, he hates it. But what if it became a reality? What if they don’t succeed in this timeline once again? What if everything goes to hell and he kills Chrom for real this time, when they get back and try to fight Grima off? What if he has to—
“Robin.” Chrom interrupts his corrupt thoughts. A heavy hand on his shoulder as Chrom looks at him with a worried look.
“Chrom.” He tries to respond in level tone, but he’s breaking. Chrom calls for a small break, and after calling for it, he realizes that it isn’t just Robin who needs a break. Others seem to fall to the ground from exhaustion.
“Come, let’s chat over here. We’ll get some privacy.” Chrom leads Robin away from everyone else, but not far as to scare everyone. They sit down on the ground and they breathe in deeply. There is a small moment of silence before Robin spills.
“I killed my father. Now, Grima has risen. Our only hope is that Naga will help us, but what if she doesn’t appear and helps us? What if we’re left to fight Grima ourselves and doomed to repeat history over and over again. What if there is no way for us to win, Chrom?” Robin looks to Chrom with a defeated expression. Chrom on the other hand looks at his friend in sorrow.
“I know how you feel, I know what it felt like to be lost and unsure of my future. Especially after Emmeryn had died and we sharpened our blades for Gangrel. Even with knowing what had to be done next, I was still so unsure of how to continue.” Robin shook his head.
“I almost killed you and other shepherds trying to get rid of him. Trying to avenge what I lost because of him.”
“I do not blame you, Robin.” Chrom’s hands gripped his friend’s shoulders to get Robin to face him. “You were trying to avenge your family and it was only the right thing. When you think about it, we’ve both killed a Plegian King for the sake of our loved ones. We’ve avenged them and continue to live for them.” Robin’s eyes widen at Chrom’s statement.
“We’ve avenged our family…”
“Yes, that and much more, Robin. Think about all the lives you’ve saved since you’ve become our tactician. I remember years ago when you first joined the shepherds; hearing Sully say how unharmed she was coming out of a battle. You’ve changed my life and for the better, we will get through this, Robin. With all our lives in tact.” Robin let out a sigh, a light smile playing on his lips.
“You never fail to lift my spirits up. I couldn’t imagine a world where you’d be my enemy.” Robin felt better, energy filling him up. He wasn’t so tired anymore. There was a smile on Chrom’s lips.
“You’ll never have too, besides we’re walking this path together. Our goal is to make those around us happy and safe but also ourselves. We can’t forget to take care of ourselves when the time comes.”
“If you ever forget and I see you sick in bed because you were working late, I’ll hang it over your head.” The two share a warm laugh, muscles relaxing in each others presence. However, the clock is ticking.
“It won’t happen. Especially with the battle ahead of us, we are going to survive. There is no dying on my watch, do you understand?” Chrom said firmly. His eyes saying everything and more for Robin. The tactician feels warm, a slight pull at his lips, tempting to smile.
“I understand, General.” Chrom rolls his eyes at the title but pats his friends shoulder.
“Come, I believe there’s still a long walk ahead of us and the Shepherds need some energy. A rousing speech from our stunning and genius tactician will help, I’m sure.”
“Aye aye, captain.” Even though Robin says it in a mocking voice, he’s still immensely grateful for Chrom, Lucina, his family and the Shepherds. They mean more to him than they think they do.
The two rise up from their spot and walk back towards the Shepherds, energy renewed along with their hope. Robin may have woken up as an amnesiac, looked at with distrust and interacted with caution but, here he was surround by people that loved him and would do many things just to keep him alive. Nothing could make him happier he thinks, as he sees their faces light with hope as Chrom and him give out their speech. Their cheers are loud and they rise to their feet again, ready to face anything that came their way. It gives him more courage and hope for the final battle against Grima. Nothing would make him prouder to see the defeat Grima and walk home with his family, in peace and safety.

Hypothetical awakening sequal: fire emblem reawakening
more of an idea spitballin because the question was on my mind. still, if your interested heres what i have written down as to what a hypothetical plot for such a game could be
set after awakening, 17 years later meaning normal lucinas 18 ish at this point. Follows a inter changing story between plegian rebels asserting their independence against the corrupt occupational army and a bright eyed lucina looking to make a name for herself similar to the hero king of old as dark rumors originate from ferox that a new "great khan" has risen who has facilitated the abuses of the past years in plegia.
plegian rebels doing rebel things is where the story starts, namely with the plegian hero interrupting the execution of plegian citizens. During this introductory period we learn that for over ten years plegia has been under feroxian occupation, in part as a response to the civil strife that engulfed plegia when its principle god and leaders were killed with no clear line of royal succession. This had led to the last war by the shepherds before its official disbandment as chrom could not bear to let plegia suffer as his father did. However, the war rapidly spiraled out of control as the shepherds though experienced lacked numbers and resources since ylisse wasn't officially supporting the action, eventually resulting in a force of feroxian soldiers led by lon'qu to intervene.
with ferox officially the winner, flavia and chrom left soldiers in plegia to help keep the peace and rebuild the ravaged country, with the plegian citizens welcoming this at first for the security of stability. thus it was like this until the seventh year of grimnas death, when the feroxian forces suddenly became an occupation with the ascension of a new khan, lon'qu who established the position of great khan and merged the countries two khan positions into one. With feroxians now an occupation force strict rules and brutal enforcement became the new norm, especially when a group of grima faithful planning a number of terror attacks were unveiled. the plegian rebels are thus bitter and determined after ten years of these abuses and they plan to take their country back, before turning eyes towards those they feel responsible for their suffering.
meanwhile, a young lucina struggles with the weight of expectations her fathers world saving reputation places on her, not to mention how her fathers sudden development of an illness the healers cant cure has accelerated the pressure of getting her ready to inherit the throne in case her father suddenly passes away. This non future lucina is thus somewhat arrogant in a teenage rebellious kind of way lacking the same grim disposition her future self had and being immature, she does however still posses a good and kind at heart though non future lucina has little interest in marths legend at first. Regardless shes traversing ylisse seeing the sights and helping where she can, and its here we learn a bit about how ylisse views the plegian situation or rather how alarmingly in the dark they are about feroxes abuses in plegia, in part because of the tight lock down ferox has on plegia and in part because of the continuing friendly relations they have with ferox. Regardless its only until they receive a sudden and urgent request from the great khan to provide military forces to help quash plegian insurgents that things begin to get sticky.
Lucina eagerly accepts the call in her fathers place, yearning to begin proving herself against her fathers reputation and out of a somewhat ignorant desire to help people by beating up plegia. However once in plegia even she can begin to see the dark truth of whats going on despite the feroxins best efforts to hide it. thus for the next little bit lucina and the plegian rebels have a back and forth as they try and outdo the other culminating with the ylissean forces finally cornering the plegian rebels. However before the final blow can be delivered so to speak terrible news reaches them, ylisse has been invaded by ferox and the ferox army is closing in on their position with intent to wipe them all out.
In a desperate move the rebels and ylisseans team up to survive the onslaught and just barely make it out both sides curious as to what the fuck happened. Lon'qu announces his intents to unify the continent under one banner for the necessity of its future before issuing a manhunt for the battered remnants of the ylisse and rebel forces. Thus the two forces join hands for the next part of the game as they navigate avoiding the ferox forces and reclaiming both of their homelands well also coming to an understanding with each other and eventual friendship. during this time they also begin pulling information from ferox and learn of the startling changes that have happened since lon'qu became great khan and how many of the citizens of ferox dont approve of this action but cant speak out over an army purged of non lon'qu loyalists or toadies.
Thus the questions begin to center on what has happened to lon'qu, with it gradly being hinted at as dragon possession/influence on the mind to create a strong empire coupled by the words of scheming advisors who serve this dragon. who the dragon is however is unknown. When they do start to confront lon'qu himself however it becomes apparent that hes more in control then first thought, suffering a condition similar to emperor hardin where his darkest thoughts and aspects of his person have been amplified to unmanageable proportions, namely a desire to create stability and an emphasis on strength as the deciding virtue.
They also begin learning more about the power that led him to become like this, a powerful sorcerer from the continent of judgral of all things who once provided the grima faithful with their copious amounts of judgral swag and who even established the order in the first place being a manakete himself who lost his draconic power much like gohto and turned to magic. the sorcers plan is thus to establish a new dark dragon of incredible strength and bring ruin to the world once more though this time its through the empowerment of a new host. A young female manakete who seeks power in order to avenge her fallen family who were massacred by humans shortly after grimas first fall.
Well the allied force try and stop it, having split up for a time to cover more ground and reuniting in order to tackle the threat together, they are unable to stop the manaketes empowerment in time and a new dark dragon roams the land bringing ruin the ylisses castle as part of its revenge. beaten but not broken, the heroes regroup and get some extra determination and naga power before plunging in for round two and just barely slaying the dark dragon though not before realizing that this dragon will inevitably return one day thanks to machinations from the now deceased manakete sorcerer. in the bad end.
in the good end theres a greater sense of permenance thanks to the heroes managing to calm the dragons restless spirit when laying it to rest thus reducing the likelihood of its return. either way they have a shit blasted continent to deal with, though with strong bonds of friendship formed between the ylisseans, the rebels, and feroxin objectors to lon'qus rule they might have the strength to build a bright future.

Oh dude, Risen King Chrom and Grima as a duo unit would be fucking nuts. I’d be on board for that. Though I kinda expect we won’t get Duo units in the general pool anymore. People seemed pretty mad about Duo Ephraim’s situation and with a free 5* guarantee they probably won’t make the whale fodder easier to access. That’s probably why it doesn’t count for seasonal units.
And I dunno, I feel like a lot of those listed possibilities aren’t really Fallen. They’re antagonists, but not necessarily the “corrupted by evil” kind, you know? A berserker Ike or Greil I could see, I could see evil Morgan maybe, the Fates options are possible (and funny since they passed those up for Corrin, for some reason). I don’t think the dead lords are important enough to get clear representation.

Give an Inch, Take Infinity (Preview #4)
And my father, he was a King. Don't give me that look, it's true. My mother, she was a dancer, a commoner. And she was...different, (She wasn’t white. You don't have to use euphemisms with me, Laslow.) y-yes, that’s correct. How did you know? I suppose I inherited a bit of that. My sister certainly didn't, lily-white beauty she was. But... Mum was a commoner, and she was foreign, and Father's council had an uproar over it. They got over it, eventually, I hear, but they made Mum miserable for the first few years of their marriage and humiliated her at their wedding. And then my sister was born, and then me. But then....
Then the war came. And Father left for battle. Only his sword returned. (I'm so sorry....), I.... it's fine.... Mother died protecting us from the Risen, the dark creatures made animate by fell magic. We grew up on the battlefield, against things only nightmares can conjure up. It was an apocalypse, destruction raining down from the very sky, the end of the world. It was the end of our world. And yes, there was a war here, but you Nohrians wouldn't know the meaning of 'apocalypse' if it snuck up and bit you, no offense. (None taken. My world has never ended. Yours did.) Day in and day out was fighting, surviving, ambushing other survivor camps for what little food and shelter they had, (You were bandits. Survivors... Oh, Laslow...) Don't pity me.... I deserve better than your pity, yes? I mean... we did what we had to, anything we had to, and I do mean anything.... until the day we would win the war. But we never won that war. We were thrown back in time by divine intervention, and we won that war instead. It's... an even longer story, milord, I assure you.(We have time, Laslow.) Not nearly enough, believe me. But, needless to say, our own timeline was ruin, and we didn't belong in the new one we had created. We had nothing left, nothing but the clothes on our backs and we were lost in time and space. We were burdens on our families, as much as we didn't want to be and they didn't want to admit. But we could see it in their eyes, in their very souls. They had no idea what to do with us. Father and Mother.... the ones from the new timeline, the younger Chrom and Olivia.... they already had a baby to raise, a kingdom to rebuild and a council to appease. They just didn't have the room or the time for Lucy and I. So.... I left.
“And then.... after everything I'd been through, I was called upon to serve you. I knew I had to hide my past. I'm a foreign prince, how would you ever trust me if you knew? I knew I couldn't hide forever.” Laslow finished. “My real name.... it's Inigo. That's the name my mother gave to me. But I am also Laslow. I will always be Laslow. I will always answer to Laslow. It's probably for the best I only answer to Laslow. I was never supposed to tell you any of this information in the first place. My past was always meant to be secret, and I would very much appreciate if you could possibly keep this between us. I am Laslow, I have always been Laslow and I will always be Laslow.”
Xander processed the information for a long, poignant moment. “Okay.” he said simply.
“Okay?”
“Okay. You're a foreign prince, the long-lost son of Ylissean royalty destroyed. You are still my closest friend. You have stated that you have no intention to return home, despite your desires during the war, that your timeline was destroyed and you don't belong in the new one you created.” Xander said. “So.... okay. What do we do from here?”
“Well, first of all, I say we call for some wine, and some snacks, and we lounge around in your luxurious bed for a couple of days to get our heads on straight, and then we get back to work trying to figure out how to correct your overabundance of left feet.” Laslow replied. Xander laughed out loud.
“Yes, that sounds like a plan, dear prince. Take a couple of days off. I'll have Leo handle anything I need to do in those two days. We'll shut ourselves in here, and I'll call for some wine and some food, and I'll pull out the chessboard and we'll entertain ourselves.” Xander acquiesced. “Maybe we'll go into town and treat ourselves, like you suggested. It's been far too long since I've treated myself to anything nice simply for the sake of having it.”
“Yes, yes, there we are! There's the smile. I'll go fetch the wine and a couple of glasses, be back in a few!”

Two Dragons and A Human
Thank you so much for commissioning me again, @breeachuu! The time has come for Nidra, at last! I hope you like it ;D
Summary: The arrival of a foreign dragon in Ylissean lands alarmed Nidra into flying to the castle, but the news that awaited there weren’t simple pleasantries with Chrom’s longtime friend, but her meeting with someone very special to her...
Commission info HERE and HERE!
The night the Forgotten Dragon had been defeated still hadn't ended yet when Kamui felt some sort of distortion approach her and Xander's tent -- as though she could feel the very air of that strange land called Valla now that its self-proclaimed ruler had been extinguished.
"How odd," the soon-to-be Queen tilted her head to the side in confusion, barely out of her armor and into her sleeping gown. She looked down at her own hands, a strange power tingling at the tips of her fingers.
"Little Princess?" Xander inquired, wearing the armor’s under clothes as he peeked at his beloved from behind the folding screen.
Frowning, Kamui lifted her hands towards a nearby magical fire, seeing the air itself distort around them. "Look, Xander; it's like a strange power is being absorbed by me... Can you see it? When I move my hands, there's this after-image..."
The soon-to-be King followed his betrothed’s expression, walking towards her in worry. "Can this still be Anankos' doing?" He gently took her hand in his, slipping another one behind her waist.
"Hmm... I don't think so. This power is mine," she skimmed her fingertips at her beloved's large hand, her own almost stinging with an urge to just... open something. She flicked the air with her free hand, surprising them both with what followed: the very atmosphere in front of them warped inwards, then softly imploded outwards, a soundless thud followed by a constant whirring sound produced a silver and blue portal right in front of them.
"Oh!" Kamui said simply as Xander quickly grabbed her hand and shoved her behind his back, readying his sword at the harmless doorway.
"What manner of sorcery...?! Was this your doing, Little Princess? Can you now open portals at will?" He narrowed his eyes at the opening, unwilling to touch it with the tip of his Siegfried lest it sucked them both in.
The princess looked at her own hands in surprise and delight, then back at the strange-yet-familiar portal. "I might? But more importantly, I think I know where this leads to! Can we check it out now? Oh, I so do wish to talk to Chrom and the others again!"
"Do not be reckless, Little Princess-" Xander started his lecture, which Kamui was sure would last the whole night if she let it, so she simply ducked under his arms and put two hands inside the portal. "Kamui!" He hissed, grabbing her shoulder. "Do not be brash- wait, don't enter- Kamui!" He stuttered, almost flustered as his beloved grinned whimsically while she entered the jelly-like texture, pulling him with her.
"C'mon, I'm sure this doesn't lead to a bad place! Let's go, already!" She giggled, hugging his entire arm as they both slipped inside the substance, being dragged to somewhere else entirely.
Taking a late-afternoon nap, Nidra's body shivered with a familiar sensation; signaling for her to wake up, now!
"What is this that I feel?" The manakete shot her draconic neck upward, almost hitting a low branch of the tree she had at her house's backyard, at the outskirts of Ylisse. Her voice was groggy still with sleep, her eyes only open due to the shock. "It is as though another dragon has entered the realm, though they're not quite a manakete either... What could this mean?"
"Ohh, you had a nightmare or something, Ni-Ni? You woke up so suddenly I fell over from the window I was watching you sleep from, nyaha!" Henry patted the dirt away from his clothes, all the way back at their house -- watching his wife sleep had always been his favorite past-time, and even more so if she woke up suddenly because she sometimes would hit something so hard the ground would shake. Well, this time he was the one hitting something (the ground itself), so there's that.
"There's this strange... itch I feel." Nidra ignored Henry's remark of watching her sleep (after telling him a thousand times to wake her up instead of simply watching, she gave up trying), walking in her dragon form towards their house as her husband went to her at the same time.
The dark mage laughed loudly. "I can't scratch your scales, though!" He made claw gestures with his fingers. "Unless you transform back, then I know I can reach a LOT of places, nyahaha!" He winked, receiving a bashful whip of her tail in response. "Ouch, hey!"
Nidra cleared her throat, the sound it made somehow resembling a loud purr of an old and very large tiger. "It's coming from the castle," she frowned, as much as dragons could frown, sitting up on her hind legs so as to stretch her neck and look at the far-away Castle Ylisse up at the opposite hill they lived in. "Though this presence does not seem evil, I worry." She glanced at the tower she had spend the better part of the previous two years taking care of the young princess Lucina, thinking of the little one and her mother, Robin.
Nidra's thoughts of the past, of holding a little baby and longing for one of her own were interrupted by Henry climbing -- or trying to, really -- her back.
"What're we waitin' for? Let's fly!" He pointed to the sky, balancing himself over one of Nidra's wings as he tried to reach her neck so he could sit.
"Oh, Henry..." She snorted, almost blushing in her dragon form. She put herself on all fours so her husband could adjust himself on her back and opened her wings. "Hold on tight!"
"No need to tell me twice!" He wrapped both legs around her large neck, grabbing the glossy accent scales with everything he had right before she took off.
They soared.
It had been only four months since Robin had returned -- things felt as though they were 'back to normal', but there was still much getting used to be done: Young Luci, of course, took to her Mother wonderfully, as though she had never left; both Future Lucina and Morgan enjoyed their days with the Mother they never had back at their time, making sure to do as many of their chores as they could at her presence. And Chrom...
Well, Chrom would be lying if he said he was over the separation anxiety -- being away from her for half a day already made him feel like he would never see her again, which would make him run around the castle in search of her just to put his mind at ease -- but it always helped to introduce Robin as his wife to everyone he met.
Especially to old friends like Kamui.
"You disappeared as quick as you showed up that day; we barely had time to thank you!" He grinned as he guided the princess and her sullen husband to a changing room -- her companion (called Xander, if Chrom remembered correctly) found that it was inappropriate for her to be in such a public place (at the company of another man, no less) in her nightgown, as modest as it was in its ankle-high length.
"I KNEW the portal led to here! See, Xander? It turned out to be fine, after all!"
The Crown Prince narrowed his eyes, squeezing the hold he had on his beloved's hands just a tad more to show off his displeasure. "It was still a reckless move, however."
"Honestly!" Robin bobbed her head to the sides in accordance, her arms crossed. "Pardon my rudeness, your highness, but your companion is right -- what if the portal led to the middle of the wilderness instead of our backyard? There hadn't been any Risen sightinings in years, but one can never be sure once the darkness covers the land!"
Chrom scratched his cheek, silently agreeing with Kamui with her impulsive decision, but choosing not to voice such thoughts lest Robin's scoldings fell on HIM (though he wouldn't mind that either... he rather missed her scoldings, as well). "Hey, at least they're safe now, yes? We're going to give them something to wear and they can get to know the castle- oh, I have to show off our children to you, Kamui!" He turned to his friend, walking backwards. "You'll see how much they resemble Robin."
"Heehee," Kamui giggled bashfully, softly caressing her thumb on Xander's hand. "You already have children! I can't wait to have mine, as well..."
Xander cleared his throat so silently quite no one heard, though if they looked up at him, they would see the faint shade of pink covering the tips of his ears.
"Well, the circumstances are a bit special, but they are our children, alright." He smiled softly, a father's love oozing out of his proud mien.
"So much must've happened! I can't wait to hear it all!"
"It's no small tale," Robin tapped her husband's shoulder so he could walk straight, sneakily taking his hand on her as well, "but one both of us are proud to be part of -- and to share with you two, of course."
Panting, Nidra arrived at the western gazebo of Castle Ylisse only to find Chrom and Robin chatting happily with two strangers, the very air around them somehow distorting. She could feel the draconic presence oozing out of the silver-haired woman.
"The dragon...?" She landed mid-transformation, holding Henry bridal style before putting him on the ground.
Kamui gasped so loudly it was a wonder she didn't lose her voice there and then as Xander simply widened his eyes. "YOU'RE A DRAGON, TOO?!" She shot herself up of her seat, banging both hands on the table.
Nidra blinked with the other woman's eagerness, watching as she looked from Chrom to her companion, then back at Nidra. Xander instinctively got up so as not to leave Kamui standing on her own, placing a placating hand behind her back.
"Your manners are lacking, Kamui. Honestly; you're a future Queen." His words harsh but his tone soft, Xander smiled at his wife-to-be. Robin nodded, understanding Xander's feelings all too well; though her own husband was already Exalt. Still, she looked at him with fondness.
"O-oh, forgive me for my rudeness, um..." Kamui awkwardly curtsied, her clothes and her companion's of ylissean made, as Nidra noticed.
"Nidra, my lady." The manakete replied, curtsying back as she walked towards the gazebo.
"Oh, I'm all too pleased to meet you, Nidra! I'm Kamui!" She circled the table, walking with both hands extended so as to take Nidra's in hers. "I never thought I would find another dragon-shifter so far away from hom- eek!" The moment their hands touched, they felt as though something inside of them somehow regurgitated the contact, making both of them pull away instantly.
Nidra gasped, suddenly feeling very ill. She immediately reached for her stomach, protecting it lest she fell with her front. Her vision darkening, she barely noticed her husband holding onto her waist once she didn't feel the impact of the fall.
"Gotcha! Geez, what's gotten into you? Dragon illness or something? Let's lie you down here," Henry's voice sounded high-pitched as usual, though with a hint of somberness as he carefully sat Nidra on the grass, her eyes unfocused.
Kamui, on her part, also felt dizzy, though it was Xander who ran to her side and supported her before she fell.
Both women -- both dragon shapeshifters looked into nowhere in particular, their eyes unfocused as their minds rushed. Both of them reached for their stomachs, as though something inside of them had rejected contact with one another to protect themselves.
"Siegbert." Kamui's mouth ran before her head could process what was happening. She raised her head to look up to her beloved, her crimson eyes wide as they could be. "X-Xander, I'm-"
"Meliodas." Nidra gripped at Henry's sleeve with her free hand, the other one securely protecting her stomach. She felt a warm tear itching down her cheek. "H-Henry, I can feel him- the contact with a foreign dragon made me feel the very familiar one I'm-" she choked a sob, "I'm nurturing inside m-m-me..."
Henry froze, his eyes wide open (for the unaware onlooker, it only looked like they were half-open, but that was simply how thin they were), his mouth midway to words. "Meli-" he stuttered.
You know, Henry had always been used to not having a family -- the closest thing to one he had ever had were the animals that raised him in the woods. The day he realized his love for Nidra, he started nourishing a new thought inside of his heart: that he would build a proper family with her -- that he would give everything the kind animals gave him, but this time for someone of his own flesh and blood. Unlike the ones who birthed him did.
He had never been very good at this 'feelings' business; he had told his wife as much. But this, this extreme warmth that he felt in his chest, that increasing urge to scream, to throw Nidra in the air, to spin her until both of them couldn't stand anymore; to fill her with kisses and hugs and to talk to her stomach like a lunatic... This feeling, he recognized.
It was love. Such a deep, deep love!
His smile grew slowly, his entire face reddening with excitement. "MELI!" He laughed loudly, picking Nidra up from under her armpits and twirling her around. "Hah! He's on his way!"
"Oh, Henry!" Nidra giggled happily, digging her face in her husband's shoulder as he twirled them around. She cried large tears, her body trembling with joy, with happiness; with fulfilment. "A family; oh, how I've longed for this!"
Watching both couples enjoy their most private moments of happiness, Chrom and Robin sneaked a hug themselves, the Queen closing her eyes to enjoy her Exalt's heartbeat as he caressed and kissed her hair.
"I'm so happy for Nidra -- for the both of them, really. I myself can't wait to... well, to be there for young Morgan. This time I won't allow my child to grow up without a Mother."
Chrom enjoyed his wife's smell, leaning his back at a column so as to accommodate her better in his arms. "You were there for Luci; from the moment she was born until this day -- she just couldn't see you. Your actions made it possible to have her grow up safe and sound."
Robin circled her hands from Chrom's chest to his lower back, her eyes burning. "M-mhm. Thank you for believing in me all this time, Chrom. Believing that I would come back. I'm sure that's the only reason I was allowed to."
"And I never will stop believing. Or loving you, for that matter," he said with a shy smile, leaning his chin at the top of her head. She snuggled closer to him, comfortable in his chest. "I think this long-awaited meeting with Kamui and her husband will have to wait for a while longer... I'm sure they need to say the good news to their family."
Robin nodded, "indeed; but let us let them enjoy their moment for a while longer. We, too, need to enjoy ours."
"Well said, my Queen."
If left alone, Nidra would have cried for three hours straight, then a few more every time she remembered it. But Robin was eager to also share a hug with her friend to congratulate her on achieving what she wanted to the most, for as long as she could remember.
That made Nidra cry a little bit more, but that wouldn't stop her from squeezing Robin to the bone-shattering point.
Still, the manakete managed to at least bid farewell to her fast friend, Kamui, before she happily jumped inside the portal to her own world, eager to share the news of her pregnancy with her family. Strange as their meeting was, and short-lived as well, Nidra felt that that wouldn't be the last time they would see each other. No, she could tell that this foreign shape-shifter would come back, bearing equally or even better news.
She absent-mindedly caressed her stomach, wondering how it would feel to have it fully grown; to live day by day and watch it nurture her little boy. Robin's warm hand touched Nidra's, an understanding look in her eyes.
Nidra smiled widely, her eyes thinning out under her cheeks. "It's my boy, Robin. My baby. My own."
"Mhm."
"Oh, I can't wait to meet him..." Her voice shook, ready for another crying session.
Robin snorted, pinching her friend's cheeks. "I know. You're sure you don't want to move back to the castle? I'd love to be there with you throughout your term..."
Cupping her friend's hands on both of hers, Nidra nodded, looking at a nearby window, to the faraway mountains. "I am, my friend. My dragon blood compels me to the outside; to the greatness of the wide sky -- and I want to show my baby just that, even if he's still inside my belly."
"Of course." Robin nodded, squeezing Nidra's hands. "I understand. I won't be a stranger -- I'll visit when you least expect it!"
"What honor! To have the Queen herself visit me at my meager home!" Nidra giggled, stealing a chuckle out of her friend.
"I see that Henry's rubbing off on you!"
"Oh, Divine Naga, he is. And I am all thankful for that; to think that only five years ago -- such a short time! Barely a day in my long lifespan -- I would not be able to tell such joke. Imagine!"
"You're happy, Nidra. Everyone can see that, too; and that makes me happy in turn. You'll make the most wonderful mother in the world, I know it."
Nidra hummed happily, bobbing her head to the sides. "You are a close second, hmm?"
Both women dissolved in giggles, spending the night away in girly and motherly talk.
The following day, both manakete and her husband went back to their home after divulging the news of their family's growth to their children from the future.
Meliodas reacted very much like Henry, though he hugged Nidra by the legs and lifted her up, laughing right up on her stomach. Cynthia hopped around excitedly, making plans of teaching young Meli on how to mount so she could have him as her partner before her younger self was born.
"Nyaha, but we won't take that long for lil' Cyn to roll aroun- ouch! Nyaha!" Henry was midway to a naughty remark when Nidra elbowed him in the ribs, though still smiling widely.
"Of course you can teach him, Cyn. You'll be able to teach him anything you want! We'll have all the time of the world."
"Wooohooo, I won't be the only little sister anymore!" She yelled atop of her lungs. "I can't wait to see baby Meli!"
"I cannot wait either, Cyn. I simply cannot wait." Nidra smiled softly.
Over the course of the next month, Nidra made sure to stay in her human form for as much as possible -- since she never met a manakete pregnant with a half-human child, she didn't know what transforming could do to the fetus. It would be probably fine as she still transformed once in a long while, but still. She worried.
As Robin said before, she did come to visit, as early as the next moon itself! She came during the late morning, wearing her hood up so as not to be recognized by the populace once she crossed the city. Nidra welcomed her friend with open arms and a few yawns due to her most recent nap.
"You look radiant, Robin! What's happened?"
"Oh, Nidra, I must confess something..." The Queen looked down in distress before even entering her friend's humble home.
A sudden chill ran down Nidra's spine. "Robin?"
"The truth is, I may have been overworking myself as always-"
"Robin!" Nidra hissed, pulling her friend inside so as to shove her on the couch. "We talked about this-"
"Wait, wait, hear me out!" Robin couldn't hide her smile; pretending the news to be dire ones wasn't working very well. The manakete crossed her arms and raised one eyebrow.
"Proceed."
"So, I collapsed. Yes, I know it's not good for my health and, trust me, I WILL watch out from now on more than ever... You see, when the doctor came to check up on me, we found out... Well," her smile grew more and more, then she looked at Nidra's stomach, then to the general direction Meliodas' room was at, "let's just say that young Meli will have a friend around his age to play with."
Nidra almost squealed. "Morgan!!"
"Yes!" Robin covered her face in delight, red as she could be. "I can't believe we're pregnant at the same time!"
"Oh, Blessed Naga!" Nidra hugged her friend, but now mindful of her condition. "Blessed be this day and the others that'll follow! I cannot believe these words!"
"Yet, they are true!" The Queen took the manakete's hand, placing it over her stomach. "I was told that I'm almost at my fourth month! I can't believe how I didn't notice it before!"
Nidra pinched her friend's hand, narrowing her eyes after she yelped an 'ouch'. "You must take better care of yourself, you hear? If not for you, for the baby -- the one you have inside you and his sister back home."
Robin's shoulders sagged, a resigned smile growing by her lips. "Indeed." She caressed her stomach. "This time, I'll do it right. He'll grow up with his Mother and Father by him; as will Luci. And, of course, Morgan and Lucina, as well. They are my true children."
"As are Cynthia and Meliodas for me. Let us all share these moments together, my friend. I cannot wait to compare belly sizes with you!"

The Risen King- Chapter 2
(Finally came up with a name!)
Raini cast Thoron at a Risen before dodging the axe of another. She backed up, frowning as it approached her. She was exhausted and injured, wincing as she put pressure on her ankle. It was probably sprained from what the tactician could tell. Just as the Risen raised its axe to strike, a sword ran it through.
Chrom stood behind it, yanking Falchion from its body and watching the monster fall to the ground. “Are you alright?! We can’t afford to lose you, Raini.” He said, eyeing her ankle. Raini simply nodded. Her husband always did seem to appear at the right time. “I’m fine. Yourself?”
“I’ve been better.” Chrom replied with a small smile before striking down another Risen. “You know, love, you suck at lying.”
Raini huffed, turning and sending lightning from her fingers as more Risen rushed towards them. “ You worry too much.” The prince raised an eyebrow at her, eliciting an eyeroll from his wife. “I’ll get it looked at later. Just focus on the battle, alright?” With that she turned away, running to help Gaius. Chrom sighed, turning back to the battle at hand.
Taking a quick look across the battlefield, the exalt could see Lucina and Morgan. They were fighting side by side, essentially as one. Just like their parents. Chrom was so focused on his children that he didn’t notice a Risen sneak up from behind him until it was too late.

Who do y'all hope'll get a Fallen Alt this year?

Note
It was pointed out that in every batch of Fallen Heroes there's one based on a previous legendary hero alt, like Ike/Julia/Tiki with Grima being the exception since the two Grima alts came out around the same time together. I'd say the odds for Hegemon Edelgard are extremely high, with a less likely but still plausible Risen Chrom or Hydra-possessed Azura still on the table.
*raises hand*
Where the fuck is everyone getting “Risen Chrom” from again?
I mean I’m not saying it won’t happen or I wouldn’t want it to happen, but I see people here and on Reddit talking about a potential Risen Chrom thing and I just. Have no idea what basis that would have. Did I miss something in canon or do people just think it’d be cool? I guess F!Ike last year set the precedent for “characters that are never technically canonically possessed can have Fallen forms, too!” but still that was also Ike, the defacto most popular FE character pretty much ever, so of course they’re gonna give him as many alts as they can regardless of how shaky their basis may be.
Anyways I’d say among the four lord characters of Three Houses the likelihood of someone getting a Fallen this banner is probably like.
Edelgard>Dimitri>Rhea>>>Claude
Edelgard’s last alt (not counting the brave since people voted for that) was last April with her Legendary version. Dimitri’s was October with his Legendary, then we had Rhea/Seiros mythic in January and Claude legendary in February.
Ever since their crazy Camilla alt phase they seem a lot better at spacing out alts for really popular characters (I think the quickest we’ve seen a new alt was Dorothea? She was I think July of 2020 and then again in January of 2021 so that’s a good 5 months between her most recent alts). So I think Edelgard and Dimitri are plausible, Rhea is borderline leaning no, Claude would have to wait. (I also kind of don’t see Claude ever getting a Fallen alt just because... what would they even do with it?)
I think Edelgard is the most likely just because she’s a waifu and it’s been like a year since we last got any non-Brave Edelgard, but I guess Dimitri could be included too. I’ll also introduce the possibility of a Fallen!Byleth, probably M!Byleth since F!Byleth got the summer banner last year. Maybe they were corrupted or went mad from being trapped in the void by the Agarthans or something.
Though we’re assuming there’ll be guaranteed Three Houses representation on the banner, which isn’t exactly a given right now. It wouldn’t exactly surprise me since it’s their current money making darling but who knows.
Personally I’d like a Fallen!Dedue beast unit and Fallen King!Leo from the end of Birthright. Probably with Beastdue as a free unit (my poor orbs can’t handle +10ing two Dedues at once!) and Leo as an OP banner unit. Dedue is pretty much guaranteed not happening but it’d be cool, and Leo... Well I won’t say it’s likely but I don’t think it’s impossible either.

I know it's been long but I MUST react to the fallen banner. At first I didn't know whether to summon or not, but...
Lyon's asking me to do it. His art is everything that Grima's didn't achieve (or it's just me loving one of them and hating the other). He looks more mature, we get to see another awesome voice actor, so he'll be a great addition to my tap battle team. And his skills! Fucking yes. I'm glad to have guessed that he'd be here.
Ike got inspiration from Cipher Cards, so that makes us certain that Risen King Chrom will be here in a year, unless someone else is as popular. His skills are surprising, but I wouldn't want him to be the free unit in a voting event. We have too many of the same. Also, these tickets gave me his first version two times! (And Male Byleth too ♥️)
Idk why I thought "Perhaps fallen Deirdre? Wait, no, her version is already amnesiac", so Julia is a logical choice. Sadly there aren't many permanent female antagonists, so we'll usually see a brainwashed one that is saved afterwards. Also, that means Seliph screentime!
Corrin is the one that I don't want to summon, but I'm interested in his supports. Hopefully it won't just be Azura, we could also have Adrift Mikoto or F!F!Corrin (a.k.a. Franz Ferdinand Corrin). While I liked her role in her supports and they were better written than some of Fates' chapters, M!Corrin looks feral, while she doesn't. Also, I expected Gunter? Perhaps we'll have Mythic Anankos.
I've just seen Ashnard's art and it's so funny how he can complete the "still smiling when hurt" emblem. In case anyone wants to try it, it would include L!Ephraim, L!Hector and Shiro. I hope he doesn't get the Haar/Cormag treatment, but it's nice to have another main villain in the game. Anyways, I still need a regular Hardin.
It was too soon to add 3H spoilers (though some of them have been given anyways), but we'll probably see one of the characters there. For now I can think of two spoilery options, a Corrin-like one and an Ashnard/Hardin-like one.
I think next seasonal banner will be the bridal one, so it's a likely skip. I'd like to see Jugdral units there, but I won't spend orbs unless I'm really surprised.

Sasha’s New Shadeliel Cult Chapter 3
The Risen Forces Introduced The Resurrected Grima to The Shepherds.  The Shepherds learned of Sasha’s Plans To Revive Medeus.  The Next Point of Attack is unknown though.  Then a Messenger enters the throne room.
The Risen Messenger says “My God Grima and Exalt Vannas, Ylisstol Palace Is Under Attack by The Shadeliel.”
Chrom shouts “What?!  How can we get there quickly?!”
Grima says “Calm Down.  My Risen Can Teleport both Forces to Ylisstol Palace right now.  You guys just have to tell the citizens of the town to trust me and let the risen help out.”
Robin says “We will also be helping out with the battle, Grima.”
Grima says “Understandable since it’s your home territory.  I would do the same if This Under City was under attack by one of your enemies.”
Morgan says “What a bad time for six of the thirteen Children Characters to be missing.”
The six who are missing are none other than Owain, Nah, Severa, Brady, Inigo, and Kjelle.  Where these six are is the Kingdoms of Fates. The Risen Forces and The Shepherds, Minus those missing 6, are transported by the Risen Sorcerers to the Ylisstol Capital.  Chrom orders half the shepherds to tell the guards and citizens of the town the intentions of the Risen and how they are allies.
Vannas says “Alright time to deal with The Shadeliel.”
Cregath says “I also will be helping this time.”
They battle through the Shadeliel and run into a Great Knight Commander of The Shadeliel.
Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle says “Ah so the Shepherds have joined up with our enemies, The Risen Forces.”
That statement is heard across the entire world surprising the Great Knight Shadeliel Commander Of The Battle.
Nah says “Time to deal with these guys.”
The Missing Children Characters have arrived to help and they have brought the Characters of Revelations to Help out.
Chrom says “Who are you guys with Owain and the Others?”
“I am King Ryoma of Hoshido.” Ryoma says.
“I am King Xander of Nohr.” Xander says.
“And I am Queen Corrin of The Newly Reformed Valla.” Corrin says.
“Our kingdoms hosted these 6 under other identities thanks to the human side of our dragon enemy, Anakos, and one was actually the tactician of Corrin.” Ryoma says.
“Who was that?” Lucina says.
“That was me, Lucina.” Nah says.
They continue to battle the Shadeliel and Cregath finally makes it up to The Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle.
The Great Knight Shadeliel Commander Of The Battle says “Prepare to Die For Your Treachery, Risen Sorcerer.”
Cregath says “We were created by Grima so we are loyal to him and him only so that’s why we were never traitors to you.”
The Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle shouts “Why You Little-!”
The Magic Of Cregath Hits The Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle and Defeats him.
The Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle says “You are just fools if you think you can beat the Shadow Dragon Queen?”
Chrom says “What does that mean?”
Suddenly armies of Shadeliel Come flooding into Ylisstol Palace.  Grima Transports in and uses Expiration on all The Shadeliel.  This attack destroys the Shadeliel Army but not the area around it. Grima then vanishes.
Ylisstol Noble 1 says “Grima is scared to be seen?”
Ylisstol Noble 2 says “Why does Grima not face the Shadeliel Himself unless he has to?”
A Shadeliel is left alive.  Chrom picks him up and asks him what the Great Knight Shadeliel Commander of The Battle meant by “the Shadow Dragon Queen”.  The Shadeliel Man tells them that Sasha, their leader, is actually a Earth Dragon Manakete who has become a Shadow Dragon because she is in love with Medeus and that is why she wishes to revive him.
Ylisstol Noble 3 says “The Earth Dragons still pain the world.”
Ylisstol Noble 4 says “All but Grima... Who is an experiment with Earth Dragon Blood in him.”
Lucina says “Earth Dragon Blood?  So that is why Grima could be affected by Medeus after losing Tiki’s Heart in the past.”
Every Ylisstol Citizen gasp at this revelation of the Oracle and The Fell Dragon once being lovers.
“Ylisstol, this is the reason why the risen have not joined Medeus but joined their creator Grima.  Grima was revived because of Tiki’s Love for Grima. The People Trust In Robin brought him back free from Grima and Grima could have done it before that happened with his destiny of being the Fell Dragon.” Linda says.
“Who are you to say that?” Ylisstol Noble 1 says.
Linda says “Robin’s Mother and The One who made sure he made it to Chrom by getting him away from the Grimaliel when he was a baby after I learned his purpose to the Grimaliel.  I hated his father after I learned that and I plan on finding out why Sasha wants to bring back Medeus.  I will also find out why Grima doesn’t fight himself.  I just ask this of you, Grima since I know you’re watching, come to a royal ball.  Tiki will be your date, just come please. Show the people you can be trusted.”
The Ylisstol Citizens cheer at this. Tiki wonders why Linda is doing this and then she sees the connection to Naga in Linda’s Eyes. Naga is testing Grima even more.
Tiki thinks “Why must you test Grima so much, Mother?”
Grima appears and says “Fine, I’ll come.”
TBC...
What is going on?  Why is Naga testing Grima even more?  What is going to happen at the ball?  What are we going to learn about Grima during that ball?  Finally what is really the reason behind Grima’s hatred toward Sasha and The Shadeliel?  I ask because something is up.  Find out more in Chapter 4.

                    Day two of C.hrobin week2018.
                             Prompt: Twin
Mention to: @/stratesia Robin, shepherds, Grima, Risen King
Synopsis:  We’re like a twin in this fate...I managed to                                                        survive but you...Let us help you.
                                      DO NOT REBLOG.
“Aah finally you are here. Help me, help this old man.”
“Yes, we are here, Old Hubba. *sigh* Let me guess. More cards of yours got stolen?”
“.....no.”
“.....alright?”
“You know, I don’t think I have anything, I got used to saying help that I forgot how to greet normally.”
“....”
“Anyway, I’m off, have fun in this world that suddenly and absolutely not my doing because I tried to go back in time to check some mehehawahhah--ahem, goodbye!”
“W-wait! Old Hubba!!!!.....D-did he just said that he opened a gate to a world and left it open?....We better check it just in case.”
“Chrom, I don’t like ...I don’t like the energy that comes from there.”
“You too, Robin? .... But we have to close it so whatever danger in there won’t leak to our world.”
“True...Let’s be careful.”
“Yes. Everyone! We’re going in!”
“A couple of soldiers should remain outside the gate in case something DOES escape under our nose; they can intercept it.”
“Good call. Let’s go!”
The Shepherds moved to go through the gate, entering the new world and to their chagrin, they stepped into another version of their own world. Almost like that one--the future. The stench of blood and decaying bodies filled the air-- a disgusting smell that made a lot sick to their stomach, some throwing up in the process. The sky was dark, you could barely see the ground beneath you of little light was around.
“This…”
“The future?”
“My lord, risens!”
“What? Everyone, on your guard!”
The shepherds fought against a horde of risens which was a little bit tough than their usual fights. The risens seem more expert in fighting unlike the ones in their own world. They had to advance; curiosity filled them to what makes this world different than their own world, however, they did not have to move that far because someone came to welcome them.
A black mist enveloped the area and sense of dread filled the air. One figure emerging from the darkness--”R-....Robin…?” Chrom stammered upon seeing another Robin. “N-no….”
“That’s right..darling~ I’m not Robin..It is I, Grima, the fell Dragon. Such a surprise that you and..them to come to visit me from another world. Who knew my darling was such a masochist for pain? Oh, wait...you are heh” with a flick of their wrist, someone else stepped closer.
“No….It...It can’t be …” Robin hand subconsciously gripped to the lord’s arm.
“But yes, yes! It’s him, mind you, my darling is much handsome, much more obedient than yours.” It was none other than risen Chrom, standing beside Grima. “He’s my king~ The King of my little Risens and I am their God.” A maniac cackle filled the air around them, sending a shiver to everyone’s spine. The shepherds behind cursing and calling out the fell dragon.
“Mad? Oh my, you are mad? Oh poor you. Mad that your commander is now my puppet? Or mad because I killed you all in this world and orphaned your children? By the way, some are in my army hehe. Aw, don’t look at me like that Frederick, your kid is in my army as well. They did fight till the very end, such pride but as they say...the bigger you are, the easier you fall and oh boy oh boy, they had such a huge pride just like you mwahahahaha!!”
The knight gritted his teeth, it was one of those rare instances you could see the blood boil in his veins and the raw anger from his eyes.
“Frederick!” Robin tried to get the knight to snap out of his anger which thankfully, he did not get reeled in with Grima’s taunts.
“Fiend! If we have to take care of you again then so be it! Shepherds! To arm! We’re not going to let this monster rule this world anymore!”
“Such an optimistic are you? You think the Grima in your world is the same as me? You’re wrong, child! Do you know how many years have passed in this world?? It’s been TEN years, Chrom! Ten years and I have ruled this pitiful place you call home! It explained why did you struggle with some mere low-rank risens before,” a snicker slips their lips. “You’re doomed...it was a mistake you came to this world. I don’t know how and why a gate was opened when I made sure to suck all its power but all good. It’s good to have two of you around, Chrom~ Hehe hahaha!” snapping their fingers, Risen Chrom stepped in front of them, sheathing his sword while other risens circled the shepherds. It was a kill or be killed fight. Chrom immediately regretting going into this world.
It’s his responsibility to bring everyone back safely. This was supposed to be voluntary work but everyone as always agreed to go, and now they are facing their deaths. Grima meanwhile, sat down on a dark mist enjoying the battle in front of them while his puppet did the work.
“Kill...everyone….” the risen king spoke, sending a chill down Chrom’s spine. Is this...him? Is it really him? How low did he sink to be like this? Nevertheless, this is his enemy now.
“Let’s see if a mere poor imitation of a living person can fight,” Chrom taking his stance and dashed at the risen king. To his surprise, his risen counterpart was not slow, nor weak, in fact, even faster AND stronger than him. Unlike Chrom, the risen king is not bound by his mortal coil, feeling tired, the pain of extorting his body over its limits do not bother him thus in each swing he gives more than what Chrom can. Swords clashing, Risen Chrom with ease, pushed Chrom with great force, making him recoil backward.
“Ngh!!...W-what’s this monster!?” He felt every bone in his body rattled because of this attack. This is bad, at this state, he can’t even dent the risen’ armor let alone scratch him. Was it...impossible to defeat him? Someone--something like this that does not care about pain?
Chrom tried again and the same result, the Risen did not even have to move an inch from his place to defend from the Exalt’s attack, all he had to do is swing his sword and send the exalt flying. At this rate, everyone will ….everyone….will die!
Gritting his teeth, he tried to look for any other way to defeat him when someone clapped his shoulder, “Chrom! Switch with me!” Robin said, and their eyes told him everything. He nodded to them and stepped to the back to take any risen that is about to intercept Robin’s way.
Robin took few steps closer to the risen king, “....Chrom….no...You’re not Chrom...Chrom would never lose hope, would never accept to be a puppet….”
Grima chuckled in the background, scoffing at what the tactician is saying, “Oh if you know~ you should know that Chrom would anything, I mean ANYTHING to be with you. And I revived him and asked if he wants to be with me, his lovely wife and he said yes. Surprise eh? He is just dumb and a fool. His emotions always get the better of h--”
“ENOUGH! Chrom is not a fool and you know it!! Chrom only chose to be with you because he hoped to find a way to change you back--to bring the real me in you back!”
Grima squinted their eyes and leaned forward, “You speak as if you know what is going on in his head.”
“I do,” with confidence. “I’m his best friend, his partner, and his wife. Don’t you think by now I should at least understand his motives? You miss this, Grima. You locked your heart to think about this simple reason. He’s...still trying to reach out to you...Robin! If you can hear me! Please sto--*gasp*!”
Suddenly, the risen king dashed at Robin, aiming to kill them but Chrom quickly stood between them, blocking the attack even though it felt his arms are about to break under the pressure of the risen king attack. “Ngh!!...N...Not...a...chance! Y-..You...gave...up on them….I won’t….allow you...to harm mine! Haaaa!!!!!” right foot took a step forward while his left foot carried all his weight, he managed to push the risen king back, away from Robin. “Hah...ha...asshole…”
“Chrom!” robin worriedly stepped to his side, looking at him, “you idiot! You could’ve…” their right hand rested on his cheek, “trust me on this…”
“R-Robin??” Chrom left arm extended to catch Robin but they already moved toward the Risen King. “Weh..--! Wait!! Robin!”
“Chrom is Chrom, no matter how you try to change it, Grima. A little zap will get him on his knees.” not meant to be an innuendo comment. Sparkles flew around their right hand, “Grima...you’re not the only one who got stronger.” They stepped forward, “It’s for the best…” aiming at the risen king. In a quick maneuver, the tactician appeared behind the risen king. “I won’t fail you here…” they whispered before unleashing their strongest lightning magic on the risen king, knocking him on the ground. Robin anticipated that with this dead body, he might be awake in a ten-fifteen minute so they had to work so fast to reach Grima or the trick won’t work twice on the risen. Meanwhile, the shepherds are doing their best to stand against the risens.
Lissa managed to reach Chrom and quickly heal any wound he had, “Chrom! This is crazy! They keep on coming!” she frantically told him.
“I know..I’m sorry...This is--”
“Dummy! I’m not blaming you! I’m mad that this exists! We have to win, Chrom!”
“L-Lissa….you’re right.”
“Heh, of course, I am. Come on, let’s kick that Grima’s ass and save this world!”
“You’re awfully cheerful about this…”
“....I don’t want Owain...I don’t know where he is whether he is alive or not *sniffle* but I don’t want him to suffer, not in this world, too!”
Gently patted her head before he turned, “We’ll save them; for sure.” and walked to where Robin stood. “You’re not going to use that on me, eh?” he tilted his head to whisper to them only to which Robin cleared their throat and eyed Chrom, “Maybe, if I had to.” A soft chuckled escaped the king’s lips, “noted,” and then looked back at Grima. Of course, the fell dragon was not happy with the current outcome but somehow did not feel that bothered by losing their bodyguard, in fact, they continued to ignore everyone while relaxing on the mist made seat.
“I don’t like this…” Chrom stated, followed by a nod from Robin, “Yeah, me, too.”
“I thought you vermins are going to kill me. Come on, tired already?” the fell dragon mocked.
“Chrom, I have a plan...sort of,” the tactician pulled on the lord’s arm to lower himself so what they are about to tell him to remain secret.
“Owwww secrets?? But I thought we were starting to be friends~ oh well~ Do your worst, other me.”
“Got it?” Robin asked.
“Y-yeah...but--”
“Trust me.”
“....You know I do…*sigh* Very well.”
“I’ll treat you to a nice pie when we are done~”
“.....bribing the king? Not a very Queen-like but I’ll take that, heh.”
Their formation was not an odd one, but their very trademark one. Chrom taking the lead while Robin assisting them from the back with their magic. Grima scoffed at this, “And I thought you would try something new for me, worms. Baah..this is boring….Maybe I ought to kill you this instant. Yeah, that I’ll do.” snapping their fingers again, more risens started to flock towards them. Propping their cheek on one of their hands, “Entertain me, vermins.”
“Here we go…” Chrom dashed ahead while Robin making sure to target the risens that Chrom’s sword can’t reach so they can move forward, towards Grima. It was one hell of a path but they had to never stop or they will be trapped in the flock of risens.
After a while, they managed to reach where Grima was sitting. “Prepare yourself, Grima!” the exalt shouted but the fell dragon paid no heed. They crossed their legs, “Oh, I am ready.” and they smirked.
Robin cast a spell on Grima but the dark mist blocked the attack and then they got up, “Such a weak spell, dear me. I thought you said you got stronger…”
“I did. Your bodyguard is a testament of it.”
“....Pft...Haha..HAHAHA--snrrrkkk”
“...W-what’s so funny!?”
“Then why your bodyguard is struggling?”
“Wha--CHROM!?”
Apparently, the risen king woke up from his little nap and took Chrom by surprise. The two clashing swords against each other, no one giving the other a window to counter. Thankfully, Robin’s attack at least damaged the risen king to not be a fully lethal monster walking around. “F-Focus, Robin!” Chrom tried to reassure Robin.
“Grima!!” Robin cast another spell at them which Grima swatted away like it was a fly and then came at Robin with its claws but Robin retaliates with their sword. The two fought, clearly Grima pushing Robin around and it didn’t look good.
“Dead..geh..or not wake you idiot!” Chrom hissed at his counterpart who wore only dullness on his features, as if he is detached from whatever is happening around him, simply following the orders to kill the nuisance. The risen king pushed Chrom away from Grima and Robin’s fight. Rain of slashes hammered down on the exalt as the risen king kept hailing them down. Each strike, chrom felt his arms are about to break under this pressure but he couldn’t lose. There was a second-moment window and Chrom flung himself against his counterpart, trying his best to disarm him but of course, that grip of a dead man on something is not easy to be broken but with enough struggle, the two were disarmed. Risen king elbowed Chrom thus losing his Falchion and Chrom striking at the same time the other’s hand with the hilt of Falchion to drop it. Chrom knew it was risky since he is not a master of self-defense art like he is with his sword but he is counting on that to be the case for his counterpart. At least, stripping that dead man from his weapon, he will be less lethal. True it did not change much but made Chrom in a fewer advantages place but still…
“You did this to be with Robin...I understand...But this is not going to save them--you are making it worse!” Chrom tried to preach his counterpart but as expected...no reaction. The risen king has been dead for a decade now, it would be a miracle that whatever of chrom’s actual soul remained in that possessed body. “You’re hurting robin...seeing you like this everyday is killing them inside...trust me.” there was a low growl from the risen king. Was it...affecting him?? Chrom is not going to lose hope, “Yes! You’re hurtin--whoa!” and the counterpart dashed at the younger self to strangle him but chrom managed to dodge, rolling to the side and quickly bouncing back to avoid any next attack. “We’re the same! We could be twins if you uh were not decade older but you are still...kind of the sa-- whoa! Can you just--!!“ Chrom was tackled and now the older self pinning him down, “Nghh!! S-stop!! Let..Let me go!” the exalt tried to squirm away but naga’s mercy, the older was heavier and that grip was even harder to shake off. “You know I’m saying the truth! Open your eyes! Waiting for them to wake up is not an option! They need your help but not li--gaah! Ugh!!!” the risen quickly wrapped his hands around the lord’s throat.
“S..ilence…” the puppet spoke
“Ngh! Kk...Y….ca...t sv…” the grip on the exalt’s throat got even tighter. At this rate, the risen going to break his throat or suffocate him. Clenching his fist he started wailing punches to the risen’s head until that somehow shook him off for a second to give Chrom the chance he needed to kick the other off him and scramble away.
Inhaling and exhaling, Chrom rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the blurriness, “you know what I’m saying is right!” he growled. “You CAN’T save them like this!” glaring right back at his counterpart who finally cracked another expression--rage. “I can’t tell you if it was wrong or right ...but their sake--for everyone’s….stop your robin. This is not what they wanted. They wanted to live happily with you, you dumbass!”
“Ha...ppily…?”
“!.....Y-yes! It’s not late,” was it a lie? A decade has been since grima ruled this world. Was there anyone willing to accept them back if they managed to break free? “Even for a little bit...be you and let them be themself….”
“....” the risen posture stiffed even more than it already was. Was...Was he thinking?
“Listen, we ...we love the same person--we are the same person. You and I, it is tough to not be able to sort out your feelings right. If Chrom remains somewhere...Do it for Robin, stop them. They did not ask to lead this life.”
Meanwhile, with Robin and Grima, the tactician sustained a lot of injuries but they are still standing. “Ha….i..I won’t let you…”
“You won’t? Ha, you can’t. You are barely standing there.”
“I will!...I have to!...I won’t enable you to continue this!”
“How sweet...Do try your best.”
“I am fighting for the Robin inside as well, don’t underestimate us!”
“Do you think Robin still exists? Haha, Robin died a long time ago. They perished when Chrom died, saddened about the loss of their dear husband, heh.”
“You are wrong. You are dead wrong. I believe that they are still there--somewhere! If you hear me, wake up! Chrom--your Chrom is suffering! He’s killing in your name, for your sake! Do you want--Ah!!” Grima was annoyed with Robin’s preaching that they lunged at them, slapping them, rendering robin on the ground, feeling a little bit dizzy of the attack. “Ngh!..ahh....Heh..scared...Grima? Scared that I might awa--ah!” Grima stepped on robin’s stomach.
“Heh...scared? On the contrary, keep pleading to Robin to be awakened, Robin. Can you? Can you?”
“Ngh..gah…*cough* L-lier...you’re scared...i can tell...don’t forget I harbored you inside of me f--*cough* for a while...I was your vessel as well...nngh..”
“....you know. I was going to enjoy torturing you but surely my pet has already dismantled your husband by now so...Time to die, birdy.” their right hand enveloped with purple like energy.
“You’re wrong!” Robin hissed at them, commanding their sword which was kicked by grima previously to hit their back so they can escape.
Standing on their feet, Robin regained their composure and focused. “As much as I want to end you, I want...to save you. I’ve learned things; I studied and read that it was not your choice. It was not your wish to be like this so please...Don’t take this on humanity because of one person. The world still holds so many wonderful things--I saw wonderful things, I wish that you could see them, too Grima.”
“...You know nothing...You know NOTHING! I am GOD! I make wonderful things! By killing everything and everyone! This IS my wish!”
“....You’re still lying….”
“What?”
“I’d have believed that you wanted to destroy everything if it weren’t for one thing…”
“. . . “
“You revived Chrom because you were...lonely, right? You..loved Chrom, too, right?”
“Insolent fool! How dare you ?!”
“I am right huh...i mean...Who wouldn’t love him...He’s a good man. Till the very end, he believed in Robin...in me as well...he never gave up hope. He was ready to face the world’s hatred for my sake--to keep me alive. Bit by bit..you liked him too...then you fell for him. That is why you disguised reviving him as a puppet to hide your true feelings. I understand you, Grima...we’re, whether I like it or not, alike but I don’t lie to myself. I LOVE Chrom! I love being me, I love being alive and I love to continue to live with him, with our family, our children, and friends! We’re like a twin in this fate...I managed to survive but you...Let us help you.”
“...you speak too much, worm. I was going easy on you in case I could use you but it seems there is no--ngh...wh-...” Grima clutched their head, feeling a throbbing pain circling through their head. “Wha-...nghh..!!”
“?! What’s..What’s wrong??”
“Nghhh!!....Y-you…! No!!....” Grima’s shriek was audible then they fell silent. After few moments, they lift their head, “...Ch…..r...Chro….m...I’m….s….ry...If...only...I..killed myse...myself…”
“*gaps* R-Robin!? Is that you!?”
“Y….you...another…..me…...lucky….one...I..heard...your...voice...tha...k...you...I’ll...hold...them...hnng...w-won’t..l-last...ple..please...let….it..end…”
“B-but…!”
“Please...for...Ch-Chrom…”
“..!...........” Robin gripped their sword, eyes darted down, feeling the frustration and saddness building up their chest. Yes, they hated Grima but they know if somethings were changed, nothing would have happened. To think that they would kill themself again….at least neither of the Chroms are around. Clenching their jaw, they looked up at the pained Grima. “Okay…” they stepped closer, closing the gap between them. Robin did not know if this was a trap or not but....it did not feel like one. That Robin was really in pain and anguish to let this be over. They could feel them...they were in that position too.
“ROBIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON’T YOU AAAHGHH!! D-DAAAAAARE!!!!” Grima cried loudly taking over the body momentarily before the robin inside took control back. “S-shut up!....y-..you killed him...you killed my..life...my purpose...my ..everything...we..we were not meant to be near that light...our place is….not around him. Please...Robin...free….me…”
Gritting their teeth, Robin aimed their sword at the other. “.....This is...for the best…”
“...i….woul..d….not...ha..hn...gg...have it...any...other way.”
Robin pointed the tip of the sword right towards their counterpart heart.
On the other side of the battle, Chrom was watching carefully the risen king. For some odd reason, he stopped moving despite how vicious he was and persistent to kill him. “Hey…” the exalt tried to get the other attention numerious of times but nothing. Was it safe to go back to where Robin is? Suddenly, the risen king looked up at chrom and kept staring at him. “U-uh...this is uncomfortable…”
“....me……”
“H-huh?!”
“....you…..me…...same…?”
“....Yes. Well...I’m..younger than you, ten years and...alive.”
“....a...live?”
“...Yeah...you’re dead. Grima resurrected you after killing you.”
As soon Chrom said that the risen king’s features darkned and his bloodlust aura returned, sending a shiver all over the exalt’s body. He messed up, didn’t he?
“R...bin...did...noth...wrong…” growling the words as if he is a crazed animal.
“N-no! I didn’t say Robin, I said Grima!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” the risen king roared before dashing at his counterpart.
“Naga’s--!!” the older-self tried to tackle Chrom like he did before but Chrom managed to hold him down and not fall back. “Li-LISTEN TO ME YOU CUR! ROBIN WOULD NEVER HURT YOU! IT’S GRIMA!” hands clasped together, each of them trying to knock the other down but when Chrom said his peace, the risen movemnt came to a halt.
“....Ro….bin...did...not….”
“Nghhh..Robin...loves you! Robin wouldn’t do it!”
“....Ro….bin….”
“Grima...took control of them...Grima is responsible of making...Ngghh..R-Robin sad...you hate that...don’t you? I hate that! I’ll do anything to make them happ-...Happy!”
“...Grima...”
“Grima...killed everyone you love! They destroyed the world Emmeryn tried to protect!!!”
A soft gasp was heard from the risen. That single word made him look like a human once again when he heard it. Emmeryn...it was her that he is what he is right now. Because he wanted to protect this world that emmeryn lived in he trained to be strong.
“Sis…...ter….?....sis…..ter…..rob...in…aah…..” his grip on Chrom loosened which enabled the younger self to tackle the risen to the ground pinning him back.
“Emmeryn wished that you, me --us to live without hatred! But look at you...you did exactly the opposite of her will.”
“N...no…..”
“Yes. You killed...You killed a lot of people, Chrom. As...As Chrom, as well, your sins could be mine too if I succumbed... I’m no better than you..really...if it weren’t for everyone..I’d have done worse...But killing your friends and comrades is the sin I’ll never forgive you for it. Grit your teeth, bastard!” Chrom delivered a punch right to the risen’s face. “For Emmeryn of this world!” another punch, “For Lissa!” another punch, “For Frederick!” another punch, “For Robin!”, followed by a punch, “For Lucina!”, “For Marc!”, “For Morgan!” His bloodied hands rested on the risen king’s chest as Chrom tried to breathe in despite how hard it was while punching and crying plus yelling. “*sniffles* YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN? HUH???....How...How can you die...and ...leave them….? How could you…? You should’ve of all people know what it feels like to not have a father! Let alone a father who everyone hates! You should have thought twice about that….Lucina...Mar...Morgan...have you not thought what will happen to them? Do you want--ugh..*sniffles* ...You know...You know what it feels like to be hated...because of your father’s doing…”
“Kill….me….”
“Yeah, I will kill you, bast---....!!....Y-you…”
“....ki-kill...me….” even if his face was one with no expression but Chrom could tell the older-self was crying as well. Two lines of tears trickled down one of each these dull red eyes.
“....Keh…!....You...You should atone for what you did. I can’t tell you how...it’s on you.” Chrom got off the risen and walked to fetch his sword. It hurt, both of his hands are throbbing like crazy but he feels a whole lot better. Picking his sword, he heard a clank noise and when he turned he saw the other Falchion inches away from his throat which by reflex, he jumped to the back. “YOU!!”
The risen had already got up and picked his sword, “...” the same dead expression is still painting that face.
“So you are still a puppet in the end, huh?” twirling his sword and taking his stance, “Naga...guide my sword!”
The risen mockingly did the same thing and dashed at his counterpart. The two delivered sword blows until Chrom managed to nick his counterpart’s arm, sending his sword flying and then Chrom without fail, thrusting his sword into the risen’s chest “Hyaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!”
What he did not expect was the risen wraping one arm around Chrom’s waist and the other rested behind his head. Chrom was still hesitiate to push his sword all the way through. It is...not an easy to kill your ownself. However, the risen pushed himself into Chrom, deepening the thrust into him.
“?! Wh--! Hey! *gaps* Y-you….”
“Th…..yo….”
“You did it on purpose! The fight!”
“....F-..for...robin…..”
“H-huh?”
“And….your….rob...n…”
“H-hey!”
“Aah…..I’m...s….rry..”
“...damn it…..”
“R….robin….where….are…..you…?”
“H-hang in there! I’ll take you there!”
“...heh….hope….l..ess…”
“Huh?”
“....ene..my…..”
“....you maybe you are my enemy but...you’re still me. Let me grant myself his wish…”
“....ah….if….i...was...l-...like...you…”
“...don’t speak….let me carry you…” sliding his arm around his shoulder, Chrom dragged the risen to where he hoped Robin and Grima be.
When they reached, they saw Robin aiming their sword at Grima which made the risen panic.
“n….no….NO!” which startled both the robins.
“Ch-Chrom!!” Robin lowering their sword a little bit, they were overjoyed to see Chrom okay but then got worried to see him draggig the risen with him.
“Robin, let them go!” Chrom spoke and before he could continue the risen pushed him away and dropped on the ground and crawled towards Grima.
“..Ro...bin…” pushing his decaying body, he extended his arm towards them to which they quickly ran to him and throw themself at him.
“Chrom!....Chrom…..*sniffles*....why….why did this have to end like this…?”
“Rob….I….s-sorry...i...could...not...s-save…..you….”
“N-no….! It’s….m-my...fault nngg..! Ah!!! N-no! Kill me! Kill me now!! G-Grima..! Uggh!!”
To their pain, the risen hugged them close. He didn’t what else to do. But Chrom had an idea. He walked towards them and placed his Falchion that he picked before coming here next to the risen. He looked at him and then turned around walking towards Robin, “you okay..? Gods...these wounds…” cupping their face, “we’ll get lissa to fix you up…”
The tactician smiled and stepped close to hug Chrom, “....Yeah…”
“...The plan did not go as you expected but..this is the best we can offer for them…”
“....It’s...alright...i wanted to save them for this but..it is the fate that they wrote for themselves…”
The risen meanwhile grabbed the sword, and lift it up to have the tip pointing at robin’s back.
“...It’s fine...Do it….I..command you…”
“.....i...love….”
“I love--ah!!”
With a swift motion, he thurst the sword into their back, stabbing himself as well.
“Ro….bin….”
“W-with you…...it’s….fine...Chrom….”
And the two stopped moving after few seconds, blood trickled down their wounds. The two died while hugging each other.
“*sniffles*.....”
“Robin?”
“I-I’m sorry...this..this could have been us….because of me…”
“Didn’t you promise to not think like that? Remember...we are not like this. We may look like them but they are not us. We are blessed, Robin. We’re not alone….”
In the background, you can hear the cheers and yelling from the shepherds as they managed to overcome the risens influx.
“See..? we have these guys around. Brave men and women to stand by us. True they are equally crazy to us but hey...they are our friends and family.”
“Heh..heheh...you’re right. I hope...i hope wherever they are now, these two..they are together and happy.”
“Mhm..me too. I’m not going to look into a mirror for a while…”
“Huh? Chrom what are you talking about?”
“Hm? Nothing~ Let’s go. I remember someone promising me with a nice pie.”
“Right, right. You’re going to keep mentionting this until i bake you one, aren’t you?”
“Don’t make promises you can’t make~”
“Oh? Are you underestimating my skills?”
“Not really. But is it working?”
“Heh, you silly...Let’s go back home.”
“Yeah...to our family.”
