So no one asked, but I drew a bunch of hedgehogs because @forestdragonart and I were brainstorming all the hedgehogs that appear in 9 Years, and now it's time to do some explainations
If you're not interested, don't click through.
But if you are, keep reading :>
So, with that over with...
*cracks knuckles*
Let's go!
First Row is Sonic, Werehog, Executable, Malachite, and Sonny. The reason why I'm listing all of them as a group is because they are a system, with Sonic being the host! Werehog showed up during the events of Unleashed (obviously), Executable had been around for awhile but was taken out of dormancy during the events of Forces, Malachite was formed during the events of Colors, and Sonny was formed during the events of Generations!
Now onto all of the sonic-adjacent characters (aka the other hedgehogs)!
Lord Xenophanes, also known as Lord X, is a demigod of eclipses, raised to divinity by Dark Gaia, and he is involved in my reshuffling/rewrite of Frontiers, alongside...
Fatal Error, also known just as Error or Malware, is a demigod of mistakes and programming, created completely by accident by a god OC named The Creator of Mechanics (who I need to draw a reference for). It vanished a few decades back, only to suddenly reappear alongside Lord X for unknown reasons.
Fleetway, sometimes just known as Lord of Shapes, is a god of the Body and Mind as well as Shapeshifters. He, similarly to Lord Xenophanes, Fatal Error, Curse, Mephiles, Zip, and Majin, chose a hedgehog-esque form due to the associations with Sonic, someone is seen as trustworthy and good. He, however, is morally dubious at best, and uses his forms to mess with mortals.
Uncle Chuck is essentially Sonic's father in everything but name, having raised Sonic by himself after his parents passed. You may notice that I still have versions of them listed don't worry I'll get to that. Just know that Clutch is surprisingly well connected, knowing a lot of different kinds of people from his young adult years.
Shadow needs no introduction, but I have lore about Black Arms that I might eventually talk about but also might not because explaining how I am not a fan of alien storylines is a whole ass can of worms that I don't feel like introducing. All you gotta know is that he is not an alien, but instead has like. Nightmare Creature blood in him.
Manic is a whole ass motherfucker in this AU. He's not related to Sonic or Sonia, but is instead a young adult who never was in a foster home for more than a year, if that. He currently works at the White Resort, specifically as Clutch's right hand man.
Curse is someone who prayed so hard to Lord X that he was blessed with immortality and now lives as his eternal attendant. However, he hasn't been seen in awhile, due to shenanigans that went down.
Mephiles is the god of warfare who has beef with Ignis (the revamped versions of Iblis) due to the structured manner of warfare clashing inherently with Ignis's domain of chaos. The fires (pun intended) were only flamed with the Duke of Soleanna's inference but were managed to be calmed by Solaris's interference in the form of Elise and Jet.
Zip is the demigod of insanity who is known for her manic mannerisms and chaotic following of Fleetway's orders. It normally stays out of the limelight and prefers just following Fleetway around like a lost puppy.
Shard, also known as Metal Sonic 2.0, is an extremely advanced Metal Sonic who advanced so far that he has far exceeded his original programming and has become his own being. Is a devout follower of Eggman, but there are seeds of doubt planted in his head due to his counterpart...
Quicksilver, also known as Metal Silver, is a scrapped Metal Silver who was left to rot on Scrapnik Isle after it wasn't a successful copy. He is a people pleaser and follows Mercury around, caring probably too much about he and everyone else views him.
Scourge, as I have previously talked a bit about, is one of three Avatars who ended up helping with the Forces situation, with all three of them being prototyped experiments of attempting to get the Phantom Ruby to fuse with him, with his side effect being the purple colored stripes on him.
Sonia, as mentioned in Manic's section, is not related to Sonic or Manic, and is instead from a very rich family where she's Daddy's little princess. But, instead of being very bratty, she's extremely air-headed and gullible, not understanding a lot of class-based things. Every winter, she goes to stay at her practical uncle, Clutch's, resort, but no one seems to bother her, despite some shady figures following her...
Hydraulic, also known as Metal Sonic 1.0, is a bit of an outdated model compared to Shard, but realized that Eggman Enterprises was just...not where it wanted to be, so it ended up turning itself in, before being broken out by a certain platypus in a thought out revenge plan.
Majin, also known as Time Eater, is god of...well, do I need to say? It is usually very calm, very level headed, very slow to anger...but even it has its limits. And one platypus with a god complex is really trying his patience.
Alina is...technically not the original Alina, but instead a robotic counterpart made as an attempt to try to "revive" her without actual necromancy. And who was the one who made her? She doesn't remember much, but she remembers it being a man with a kindly face wearing green overalls...
Mercury, also known as Metal Shadow, is a failed Metal Shadow who, like Quicksilver, was abandoned on Scrapnik for not being a successful clone of Shadow. It is very quiet and brooding, rarely talking unless its services are needed. He both is annoyed and finds a sense of comfort in Quicksilver.
Amy is an extremely cheerful and optimistic girl who has an awful case of faceblindness and is part of the reason that this whole chart was even made. She's very energetic and helpful, but to the point where she'll stretch herself thin in an attempt to make everyone happy, even at the expense of her own.
Silver is, to put it bluntly, an extremely sad and depressed young man who for the longest time was plagued with visions he didn't understand and that no one was willing to explain to him. Hailing from the Lunar Kingdom, he has a deep (unwilling) connection to Mephiles, and is seen as both his prophet and priest, even if he never wanted to be that in the first place.
And, finally, we have Jules who, similarly to Alina, is just an attempt to "revive" him by building a robotic counterpart. And, similarly, Jules doesn't remember much about who created him, only having vague memories of hushed words and the glint of blue glasses.
And that's all of them!!
Wow, that took...way too long to actually type out, but if you made it this far, please comment what you think! I love hearing other people's vibes and opinions for these characters :>
Now, if you excuse me, I need to get to tagging all these bitches.

I think one of the more interesting aspects about the creation myth in Islamic mythology is that the Shi'a Islamic narrative is fundamentally different from the popular ones presented in popular theology. Most Christians would hold that Adam was the first of God's creation, whereas most Sunnis hold the same opinion but with slight differences to the creation narrative. While skimming through Shi'a hadiths, there is a recurring tradition mentioned by some of our Imams that I found to be quite interesting for its time regarding the creation myth.
In these narrations, Adam (a) is mentioned to be the first of his generation of humans, while the same tradition holds that there had been humans before Adam (a). This can be complemented by the fact that the Qur'an doesn't use the word "Son of Adam" and "Humans" interchangeably, which means that the Son of Adam (=bani Adam) are referring to the current generation of humans, whereas humans (=insan) refer to humanity in general. However, there are no records that tell of the previous generation of humans before Adam, thus we're left with the impression that God had bestowed the same favour of prophecy and salvation to this group, but might have fallen out of grace somehow, who knows. It's certainly interesting, because this narration completely denies the entire mythology of the first man. Some could explain this new generation as having been favoured by God, while the previous one had already lost its favour, and thus God had created Adam (a) to substitute the new generation, in which the seeds of the latter would pass on to the descendents of Adam. This is further complimented by the fact that Iblis (Satan before his fall) had been aware of the potential wickedness in humanity when God created Adam, which suggest that a similar case had happened to the previous generation of humans as a result of their free will. The narration serves to deny the idea of incestouous relationships popularized in Biblical narratives, however, there is no established geneology in Islamic traditions that connect Adam (a) and his descendents with the previous generation of humans.
It's an interesting narrative indeed, because some Shi'a scholars opine to the idea that certain subspecies of archaic humans had belonged to this set of generations, but due to the lack of traditions that substantiate these ideas, scholars usually leave this gap of history open for speculation without necessarily having your belief compromised.

Faces of the Devil: The Serpent
Starting at the origin of sin where the serpent tempted Eve into eating the forbidden fruit — God made Adam and Eve, how they were made exactly varies from religion to religion, sect to sect. Adam and Eve resided in the Garden of Eden, a paradise where they didn’t have to worry about anything. God told them to not eat the fruit from the forbidden tree, the tree of knowledge. A serpent came into Eden to try to tempt them into eating the forbidden fruit, Eve caved in and shared the apple with Adam. Immediately, they became aware of their nakedness and began to hide themselves under fig leaves. God came and knew why they were hiding and punished them for eating the forbidden fruit. This was the first sin, the origin of sin. God gave humans all punishments for what Adam and Eve did — they would now be cursed with childbirth, have to do labor in order to eat, and experience death at the end of their lives. The serpent was blamed for the beginning of sin, snakes are often associated with deception and evil. Some choose to view the serpent in this story as a metaphor for sin itself, while others believe it to have been a demon (Satan or Samael). Sometimes Samael was depicted riding the serpent. In Jewish belief, the serpent was in fact Satan but they traditionally view Satan as a metaphorical evil that represents yetzer hara, or the human tendency to sin as an overly simplified explanation. In Islam, there isn’t a snake but instead, the story of God asking Iblis (Satan) to bow to the humans he’s created and Iblis refusing to do so.
Many Satanists view the Adam and Eve story from a very different perspective than the traditional view. In these interpretations, Lucifer is the serpent who comes to tell Adam and Eve of the Tree of Knowledge and all they could learn from it. Eve wasn't tricked into "eating the apple", a metaphor for enlightenment, but rather was offered access to higher knowledge. Lucifer is the lightbringer who brings eternal knowledge to humans, the ability to rebel and choose our own paths. He represents freedom and unlimited knowledge. This retelling of the story also often seeks to get rid of the blame people push on Eve for the "origin of sin" as this has pushed an unfortunately common narrative that women as a whole are to blame for sin, and that experiences like menstrual cycles and pregnancy are punishments. Or “she grows her hair out long like Lilit, she sits and urinates, like an animal; and serves as a pillow for her husband."
Serpents in the Bible
Onward, serpents are associated with evil and trickery in the Bible. In Genesis 3:14-15, God curses the serpent after he infiltrated the Garden of Eden;
"And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life / And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel".
In the Book of Revelations, the “ancient serpent”, also referred to as the dragon, represents Satan in the War in Heaven as he battles Archangel Michael. In the Catholic saint tradition, St. Patrick of Ireland was said to have banished all snakes out of Ireland — sometimes interpreted in reference to driving out Pagans and perceived evil. Serpents were also commonly related to sea serpents, great beasts that live in the seas and cause chaos by disturbing the waters and attacking ships. Leviathan is a Hebrew sea serpent that is referenced in Psalms, the Book of Job, the Book of Isaiah, the Book of Amos, and the Book of Enoch. Leviathan represents chaos and death, it’s unclear who created him or whether he is “evil” or not but in Christianity he represents the sin of envy. Leviathan likely originates from the Ugartic Lôtān, a sea serpent serving under the sea god Yam.
A little bit of a tangent but I think it’s funny. In the Book of Isaiah, “flying fiery serpents” are mentioned 3 separate times and it’s pretty debated on what exactly they’re supposed to represent. They are likely Seraphim, fiery flying angels, but some translate it to reference a real creature. This isn’t an absurd theory as “fiery serpents” are also mentioned which likely represent vipers who’s bite feel like fire. However, there are a surprising amount of people who think these fiery flying serpents were real-life, living dinosaurs. Some creationists believe that these verses referencing the flying serpents can prove that dinosaurs and creationism can be true at the same time. There are a few people who have spent a very long time looking into this and believe that there were living, breathing, flying pterosaurs on the Galapagos Island at the time The Bible was written, sometimes believing they are still alive there with authors like Jonathan David Whitcomb writing several books on finding evidence. (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/dont-get-strung-along-by-the-ropen-myth-78644354/ )
Despite the common use of serpents as symbolic of evil and trickery within Abrahamic belief, they're also sometimes associated with intelligence, fertility, healing, and transformation. In the Book of Numbers, Moses wields a bronze serpent staff that has the ability to heal people, a parallel to the Staff of Aesculapius and The Caduceus. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus refers to his apostles as serpents a few times as a metaphor for their wisdom, mirroring how Ancient Hebrews commonly used snakes as symbols of intelligence.
Serpents in Various Cultures
In the Americas, the Mexica deity Quetzalcóatl is a feathered serpent that ruled over the winds, rain, agriculture, and wisdom. Native American nations near the Great Lakes also had a similar figure generally referred to as the Horned Serpent, a large serpent with horns that often ruled over rain, water, and storms. Stories of these great serpents often related to water, there are many stories of huge sea serpents swimming in large bodies of water that men feared but also respected for their wisdom. Tiamat, a Mesopotamian sea goddess is often depicted as a large sea serpent and represents both the chaos and depths of the sea. And we’ve already mentioned the fearsome Leviathan from the Bible. Water is often tied to hidden things like fears, our unconscious, creativity and the occult. It’s a very feared although respected element.
A common association with snake imagery is healing, most popularly seen in the medicinal symbol of a staff surrounded by two intertwined snakes topped with a pair of wings called the caduceus which is a staff carried by Hermes or alternatively, a staff with one snake wrapped around it called the Staff of Aesculapius (both commonly misidentified as the other staff). The Caduceus is a staff carried by Hermes that is said to offer peaceful deaths to the dying and bring the dead back to life, it is a symbol of Hermes and Mercury. It was widely used as a symbol in astrology, astronomy, and alchemy. But in 1902 the US Army Med Corps adopted the symbol, popularizing the symbol’s use in healing and medicine despite it being chosen for its representation of power and wisdom. Many consider this to be a misuse of the symbol since Hermes dealt with death more than life, granting peaceful deaths rather than trying to keep people alive, some even saying this would be a better symbol for people like morticians than doctors. Which is why the Rod of Asclepius is considered the true symbol of medicine, the two are conflated with each other very often. The Rod of Asclepius is a rod held by the Greek deity Asclepius who is the god of medicine, healing, and doctors. The rod has a single snake wrapped around it which is thought to depict a specific nonvenomous snake, the Aesculapian snake, that was used in his honor in healing rituals that took place in his temples. This symbol is a very popular symbol used to represent medicine today, even being seen on the flag of the WHO (World Health Organization).
In contrast, snakes are common symbols of death and are feared by many people all over the world. As humans, we have instinctual fears of things that threaten our livelihoods, one of those things is often snakes because they are/were one of our natural predators. This is probably a huge reason why there are so many folklore and mythological stories of huge serpents that kill people and cause chaos. A Norse creature called Níðhöggr (Nidhogg) is a feared serpent/dragon that gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasill and represents chaos. Apep is an Egyptian deity depicted as a massive serpent and is the embodiment of chaos, he is an extremely feared god that only wants to wreak chaos and destruction on the world. Snakes are also often associated with Chthonic deities and the underworld. In Africa, many regions traditionally consider snakes to be sacred animals that often represent their deceased or reincarnated ancestors.
One of the most popular snake symbols is Ouroboros which depicts a snake eating its own tail and originates from Ancient Egypt and Greek imagery. It represents an infinite cycle, life and death, and rebirth. There’s also Jörmungandr who is a massive Norse mythological serpent that encircles the world while biting its own tail. Snakes both represent life and death, often making them one of the go-to symbols for rebirth. And it’s easy to see why, ancient people witnessed snakes shedding their skin and assumed that they could live forever by being ‘rebirthed’. Even though we know them to be mortal now, the association with rebirth, enlightenment, and immortality still stands strong.
This all mirrors how I view Lucifer. He's life and death, chaos and peace, divine balance and polarity. He's a powerful force who can be both destructive and restorative, forcing you to view things from a new perspective and build from the ground up. Ave Lucifer, the bearer of the torch of enlightenment and freedom ♡

CREATION IN THE QURAN 🌹
Creation in the Quran 🌹
Praise belongs to God who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light; yet the disbelievers set up equals to their Lord! 6:1 [ Surah Al-An'am ]
He is the one who created you from clay and specified a term [for you] and another fixed time, known only to Him; yet still you doubt! 6:2
He is God in the heavens and on earth, He knows your secrets and what you reveal, and He knows what you do;
—
Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from God: 3:5
it is He who shapes you all in the womb as He pleases. There is no God but Him, the Mighty, the Wise: 3:6
—
People, be mindful of your Lord, who created you from a single soul, and from it created its mate, and from the pair of them spread countless men and women far and wide; be mindful of God, in whose name you make requests of one another. Beware of severing the ties of kinship: God is always watching over you. 4:1 [ Surah An-Nisa ]
sends down rain
It is God who splits open the seed and the fruit stone: He brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living- that is God- so how can you turn away from the truth?
6:95
He makes the dawn break; He makes the night for rest; and He made the sun and the moon to a precise measure. That is the design of the Almighty, the All Knowing.6:96
It is He who made the stars, so that they can guide you when land and sea are dark: We have made the signs clear for those who have knowledge.
It is He who first produced you from a single soul, then gave you a place to stay [in life] and a resting place [after death]. We have made Our revelations clear to those who understand.6:98
It is He who sends down water from the sky. With it We produce the shoots of each plant, then bring greenery from it, and from that We bring out grains, one riding on the other in close-packed rows. From the date palm come clusters of low-hanging dates, and there are gardens of vines, olives, and pomegranates, alike yet different. Watch their fruits as they grow and ripen! In all this there are signs for those who would believe.6:99 [ Surah Al-An'am ]
—
We established you [people] on the earth and provided you with a means of livelihood there––small thanks you give!
7:10
We created you, We gave you shape, and then We said to the angels, ‘Bow down before Adam,’ and they did. But not Iblis: he was not one of those who bowed down. 7:11
—
Your Lord is God, who created the heavens and earth in six Days, then established Himself on the throne; He makes the night cover the day in swift pursuit; He created the sun, moon, and stars to be subservient to His command; all creation and command belong to Him. Exalted be God, Lord of all the worlds! 7:54
Call on your Lord humbly and privately- He does not like those who transgress His bounds:
do not corrupt the earth after it has been set right- call on Him fearing and hoping. The mercy of God is close to those who do good. 7:56
It is God who sends the winds, bearing good news of His coming grace, and when they have gathered up the heavy clouds, We drive them to a dead land where We cause rain to fall, bringing out all kinds of crops, just as We shall bring out the dead. Will you not reflect? 7:57
Vegetation comes out of good land in abundance, by the will of its Lord, but out of bad land only scantily: We explain Our Revelations in various ways to those who give thanks.
—
whoever God guides is truly guided, and whoever God allows to stray is a loser.7:178
We have created many jinn and people who are destined for Hell, with hearts they do not use for comprehension, eyes they do not use for sight, ears they do not use for hearing. They are like cattle, no, even further astray: these are the ones who are entirely heedless.7:179
The Most Excellent Names belong to God: use them to call on Him, and keep away from those who abuse them- they will be requited for what they do.
Among those We created are a group of people who guide with truth and act justly according to it. [ Surah Al-A'raf ]
—
Have they not contemplated the realm of the heavens and earth and all that God created, and that the end of their time might be near? What [other revelation] will they believe in if they do not believe in this? 7:185
—
It is He who created you all from one soul, and from it made its mate so that he might find comfort in her: when one [of them] lies with his wife and she conceives a light burden, going about freely, then grows heavy, they both pray to God, their Lord, ‘If You give us a good child we shall certainly be grateful,’7:189
and yet when He gives them a good child they ascribe some of what He has granted them to others.7:190 [ Surah Al-A'raf]
—
control of the heavens and earth belongs to God; He alone gives life and death; you have no ally or helper other than Him.9:116
—
Your Lord is God who created the heavens and earth in six Days, then established Himself on the Throne, governing everything; there is no one that can intercede with Him, unless He has first given permission: this is God your Lord so worship Him. How can you not take heed?10:3
It is to Him you shall all return––that is a true promise from God. It was He who created [you] in the first place, and He will do so again, so that He may justly reward those who believe and do good deeds. But the disbelievers will have a drink of scalding water, and agonizing torment, because they persistently disbelieved.10:4
It is He who made the sun a shining radiance and the moon a light, determining phases for it so that you might know the number of years and how to calculate time. God did not create all these without a true purpose; He explains His signs to those who understand.10:5
In the succession of night and day, and in what God created in the heavens and earth, there truly are signs for those who are aware of Him.
—
The life of this world is like this: rain that We send down from the sky is absorbed by the plants of the earth, from which humans and animals eat. But when the earth has taken on its finest appearance, and adorns itself, and its people think they have power over it, then the fate We commanded comes to it, by night or by day, and We reduce it to stubble, as if it had not flourished just the day before. This is the way We explain the revelations for those who reflect.10:24
—
Say [Prophet], ‘Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Who controls hearing and sight? Who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living, and who governs everything?’ They are sure to say, ‘God.’ Then say, ‘So why do you not take heed of Him? 10:31
That is God, your Lord, the Truth. Apart from the Truth, what is there except error? So how is it that you are dissuaded?’
10:32
It is to God that everything in the heavens and the earth truly belongs: God’s promise is true, but most people do not realize it.10:55
It is He who gives life and takes it, and you will all be returned to Him.10:56
—
indeed, all who are in the heavens and on the earth belong to Him. Those who call upon others beside God are not really following partner-gods; they are only following assumptions and telling lies.10:66
It is He who made the night so that you can rest in it and the daylight so that you can see- there truly are signs in this for those who hear.10:67 [ Surah Yunus ]
—
It is God who raised up the heavens with no visible supports and then established Himself on the throne; He has subjected the sun and the moon each to pursue its course for an appointed time; He regulates all things, and makes the revelations clear so that you may be certain of meeting your Lord; 13:2
it is He who spread out the earth, placed firm mountains and rivers on it, and made two of every kind of fruit; He draws the veil of night over the day. There truly are signs in this for people who reflect. 13:3
There are, in the land, neighbouring plots, gardens of vineyards, cornfields, palm trees in clusters or otherwise, all watered with the same water, yet We make some of them taste better than others: there truly are signs in this for people who reason. 13:4
If anything can amaze you [Prophet], then you should surely be amazed at their asking, ‘What? When we become dust, shall we be created anew?’ These are the ones who deny their Lord, who will wear iron collars around their necks and be the inhabitants of the Fire, there to remain. 13:5
—
It is He who shows you the lightning, inspiring fear and hope; He builds up the clouds heavy with rain;13:12
the thunder sounds His praises, as do the angels in awe of Him; He sends thunderbolts to strike whoever He will. Yet still they dispute about God- He has mighty plans.
The only true prayer is to Him: those they pray to besides Him give them no answer any more than water reaches the mouth of someone who simply stretches out his hands for it- it cannot do so: the prayers of the disbelievers are all in vain. 13:14
—
It is God who created the heavens and earth, who has sent down water from the sky and with it brought forth produce to nourish you; He has made ships useful to you, sailing the sea by His command, and the rivers too;14:32
He has made the sun and the moon useful to you, steady on their paths; He has made the night and day useful to you
and given you some of everything you asked Him for. If you tried to count God’s favours you could never calculate them: man is truly unjust and ungrateful.14:34 [ Surah Ibrahim ]
—
We have set constellations up in the sky and made it beautiful for all to see,15:16
and guarded it from every stoned satan:
As for the earth, We have spread it out, set firm mountains on it, and made everything grow there in due balance.
15:19
We have provided sustenance in it for you and for all those creatures for whom you do not provide.15:20
There is not a thing whose storehouses are not with Us. We send it down only according to a well-defined measure:
We send the winds to fertilize, and We bring down water from the sky for you to drink- you do not control its sources.
15:22
It is We who give life and death; it is We who inherit [everything].
We know exactly those of you who come first and those who come later.15:24
[Prophet], it is your Lord who will gather them all together: He is all wise, all knowing.
We created man out of dried clay formed from dark mud-
15:26
the jinn We created before, from the fire of scorching wind.
Your Lord said to the angels, ‘I will create a mortal out of dried clay, formed from dark mud. 15:28
When I have fashioned him and breathed My spirit into him, bow down before him,’
and the angels all did so.15:30
—
We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them without a true purpose: the Hour will certainly come, so [Prophet] bear with them graciously. 15:85
Your Lord is the All Knowing Creator.
We have given you the seven oft-recited versesand the whole glorious Quran.15:87
Do not look longingly at the good things We have given some to enjoy. Do not grieve over the [disbelievers], but lower your wings over the believers
and say, ‘I am here to give plain warning,’ 15:89 [ Surah Al-Hijr ]
—
The command of Allah is at hand, so do not hasten it. Glorified and Exalted is He above what they associate ˹with Him in worship˺!16:1
He sends down the angels with revelation by His command to whoever He wills of His servants, ˹stating:˺ “Warn ˹humanity˺ that there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Me, so be mindful of Me ˹alone˺.”16:2
He created the heavens and the earth for a purpose. Exalted is He above what they associate with Him ˹in worship˺!
He created humans from a sperm-drop, then—behold!—they openly challenge ˹Him˺.16:4
And He created the cattle for you as a source of warmth, food, and ˹many other˺ benefits.
They are also pleasing to you when you bring them home and when you take them out to graze.16:6
They carry your loads to lands you yourselves could not reach without great hardship––truly your Lord is kind and merciful––
horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride and use for show, and other things you know nothing about.16:8
God points out the right path, for some paths lead the wrong way: if He wished, He could guide you all.16:9
It is He who sends down water for you from the sky, from which comes a drink for you, and the shrubs that you feed to your animals.
With it He grows for you grain, olives, palms, vines, and all kinds of other crops. There truly is a sign in this for those who reflect.16:11
By His command He has made the night and day, the sun, moon, and stars all of benefit to you. There truly are signs in this for those who use their reason.16:12
He has made of benefit to you the many-coloured things He has multiplied on the earth. There truly are signs in this for those who take it to heart.
It is He who made the sea of benefit to you: you eat fresh fish from it and bring out jewellery to wear; you see the ships cutting through its waves so that you may go in search of His bounty and give thanks.16:14
He has made mountains stand firm on the earth, to prevent it shaking under you, and rivers and paths so that you may find your way,
and landmarks and stars to guide people.
Can He who creates be compared to one who cannot create? Why do you not take heed? 16:17
If you tried to count God’s blessings, you could never take them all in: He is truly most forgiving and most merciful.
He knows what you conceal and what you reveal.16:19
Those they invoke beside God create nothing; they are themselves created.
They are dead, not living. They do not know when they will be raised up.16:21
Your God is the One God. As for those who deny the life to come, their hearts refuse to admit the truth and they are arrogant.16:22
—
When We will something to happen, all that We say is, ‘Be,’ and it is.16:40
As for those who emi-grated in God’s cause after being wronged, We shall give them a good home in this world, but the reward of the Hereafter will be far greater, if they only knew it.
They are the ones who are steadfast and put their trust in their Lord.16:42
[Prophet], all the messengers We sent before you were simply men to whom We had given the Revelation: you [people] can ask those who have knowledge if you do not know.
—
Do the [disbelievers] not observe the things that God has created, casting their shadows right and left, submitting themselves to God obediently?16:48
It is to God that everything in the heavens and earth submits, every beast that moves, even the angels- they are free from arrogance:
they fear their Lord above them, and they do as they are commanded.16:50
—
We have sent down the Scripture to you only to make clear to them what they differ about, and as guidance and mercy to those who believe.16:64
It is God who sends water down from the sky and with it revives the earth when it is dead. There truly is a sign in this for people who listen.16:65
In livestock, too, you have a lesson- We give you a drink from the contents of their bellies, between waste matter and blood, pure milk, sweet to the drinker.
From the fruits of date palms and grapes you take sweet juice and wholesome provisions. There truly is a sign in this for people who use their reason.16:67
And your Lord inspired the bee, saying, ‘Build yourselves houses in the mountains and trees and what people construct.
Then feed on all kinds of fruit and follow the ways made easy for you by your Lord.’ From their bellies comes a drink of different colours in which there is healing for people. There truly is a sign in this for those who think.16:69
It is God who has created you and in time will cause you to die. Some of you will be reduced, in old age, to a most abject state, so that, after having knowledge, they will know nothing at all: God is truly all knowing and all powerful.
16:70
God has given some of you more provision than others. Those who have been given more are unwilling to pass their provision on to the slaves they possess so that they become their equals. How can they refuse to acknowledge God’s blessings?16:71
And it is God who has given you spouses from amongst yourselves and through them He has given you children and grandchildren and provided you with good things. How can they believe in falsehood and deny God’s blessings?
Those they worship beside God have no power to provide anything for them from the heavens or the earth: they can do nothing.16:73
—
All that is hidden from view in the heavens and earth belongs to God. The coming of the Hour of Judgement is like the blink of an eye, or even quicker: God has power over everything.16:77
It is God who brought you out of your mothers’ wombs knowing nothing, and gave you hearing and sight and minds, so that you might be thankful.
Do they not see the birds made to fly through the air in the sky? Nothing holds them up except God. There truly are signs in this for those who believe.16:79
It is God who has given you a place of rest in your homes and from the skins of animals made you homes that you find light [to handle] when you travel and when you set up camp; furnishings and comfort for a while from their wool, fur, and hair.
It is God who has given you shade from what He has created, and places of shelter in the mountains; garments to protect you from the heat, and garments to protect you in your wars. In this way He perfects His blessings on you, so that you may devote yourselves to Him.16:81
But if they turn away [Prophet], your only duty is to deliver the message clearly.
—
So eat of the good and lawful things God has provided for you and be thankful for His blessings, if it is Him that you worship.16:114 [ Surah An-Nahl ]
—
We have made the Night and the Day as two (of Our) Signs: the Sign of the Night have We obscured, while the Sign of the Day We have made to enlighten you; that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the number and count of the years: all things have We explained in detail.17:12
Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck: On the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spread open.
—
[Prophet], they ask you about the Spirit. Say, ‘The Spirit is part of my Lord’s domain. You have only been given a little knowledge.’17:85
If We pleased, We could take away what We have revealed to you- then you would find no one to plead for you against Us-
if it were not for your Lord’s mercy: His favour to you has been truly great.17:87
—
Do they not see that God, who created the heavens and earth, can create the likes of them [anew]? He has ordained a time for them- there is no doubt about that- but the evildoers refuse everything except disbelief.17:99
Say, ‘If you possessed the very stores of my Lord’s bounty, you would hold them back in your fear of spending: man is ever grudging.’
—
They also say, ‘What? When we are turned to bones and dust, shall we really be raised up in a new act of creation?’
17:49
Say, ‘[Yes] even if you were [as hard as] stone, or iron,
17:50
or any other substance you think hard to bring to life.’ Then they will say, ‘Who will bring us back?’ Say, ‘The One who created you the first time.’ Then they will shake their heads at you and say, ‘When will that be?’ Say, ‘It may well be very soon:
it will be the Day when He calls you, and you answer by praising Him, and you think you have stayed [on earth] only a little while.’ 17:52 [ Surah Al-Isra ]
—
We have adorned the earth with attractive things so that We may test people to find out which of them do best, 18:7
but We shall reduce all this to barren dust.
—
His companion retorted, ‘Have you no faith in Him who created you from dust, from a small drop of fluid, then shaped you into a man?18:37
But, for me, He is God, my Lord, and I will never set up any partner with Him.18:38
—
In that situation, the only protection is that of God, the True God: He gives the best rewards and the best outcome.
Tell them, too, what the life of this world is like: We send water down from the skies and the earth’s vegetation absorbs it, but soon the plants turn to dry stubble scattered about by the wind: God has power over everything.18:45
—
One day We shall make the mountains move, and you will see the earth as an open plain. We shall gather all people together, leaving no one.18:47
They will be lined up before your Lord: ‘Now you have come to Us as We first created you, although you claimed We had not made any such appointment for you.’
—
I did not make them witnesses to the creation of the heavens and earth, nor to their own creation; I do not take as My supporters those who lead others astray.18:51 [ Surah Al-Kahf ]
—
He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He decrees something, He says only, ‘Be,’ and it is. 2:117
—
It is He who created the heavens and the earth for a true purpose. On the Day when He says, ‘Be,’ it will be: His word is the truth. All control on the Day the Trumpet is blown belongs to Him. He knows the seen and the unseen: He is the All Wise, the All Aware. 6:73 [ Surah Al-An'am ]
—
Allah (God) knows what every female bears, and how some wombs may miscarry or else may wait too long. Everything has its measure with Him; 13:8
Knowing the Unseen and the Visible, [He is] the Great, the Exalted!
It is all the same for you whether one of you is secretive about what he says or speaks out about it, and whether one keeps to himself night and struts around by day: 13:10
[ Surah Ar-Ra'd ]
He sends water from the sky that fills riverbeds to overflowing, each according to its measure. The stream carries on its surface a growing layer of froth, like the froth that appears when people melt metals in the fire to make ornaments and tools: in this way God illustrates truth and falsehood- the froth disappears, but what is of benefit to man stays behind- this is how God makes illustrations. 13:17
There will be the best of rewards for those who respond to their Lord; those who do not respond would willingly give away the earth’s contents twice over, if they had it, in order to ransom themselves, so terrible will be their reckoning. Hell will be their home, and their bed wretched.13:18

What does Silver's naivety mean exactly? He's always described with this word but everyone seems to interpret it differently
The Cambridge dictionary definition of naive is:
too willing to believe that someone is telling the truth, that people's intentions in general are good, or that life is simple and fair. People are often naive because they are young and/or have not had much experience of life.
There's a lot to unpack here, not helped by the fact that Silver's naivete, in my opinion, is definitely not present in all games. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that '06 is the only game that has him as truly naive. I'll put the respective games under headers to make it a bit more readable.
Sonic 06
Let's start with '06. Silver immediately trusts Mephiles when he appears with an alleged simple solution to the problem Silver has been inside of his whole life. He furthermore takes at face value that Mephiles tells the truth and has good intentions, or at the very least does not question those intentions until far later into the game ("Mephiles... Tell me. Who is the Iblis Trigger? Why does he want to destroy the world?"; before the Train Terminal and second boss fight with Sonic). A lot of convincing (starting with Amy showing her unwavering faith in Sonic and Shadow later bluntly intercepting when the seeds of doubt were already planted in Silver's mind) is necessary to make him see the truth of Mephiles' deception. However, I do not think Silver believes life is simple and fair: he expresses frustration in '06 about the endless battle against Iblis he has been fighting for so long:
Blaze: Looks like we stopped it for now. Silver: But, it'll just rise up from its ashes again. [Hits a brick wall with his fist in frustration.] What's the point of all this? It'll never end. Blaze: Calm down, Silver. Silver: [disappointed] Then tell me what we should do. How can we completely destroy Iblis?
So yeah; he is frustrated and angry and does not know what to do anymore. A general conclusion I can draw from '06 is that he is naive there, because he immediately trusts Mephiles has good intentions and provides information with as goal to defeat Iblis forever. Silver does not question Mephiles' motives until much farther into the game.
Sonic Rivals
After that, we get Rivals... and Silver is not naive here, I would say. He is willing to give "Eggman" the benefit of the doubt at the start of his story, expressing a desire to "talk to him" first before taking to brawling multiple times. However, when more and more evidence begins stacking up, he becomes convinced of the idea that "Eggman" is actually a disguised Eggman Nega, and he is right! Furthermore noteworthy is that he figured this out all by himself, through reasoning there is something wrong about "Eggman's" speech and mannerisms, the fact he possesses the camera, and the fact "Eggman" mentions the "present and future". It shows multiple things: Silver is shrewd enough to have a keen awareness of the usual way Eggman Nega behaves, can further compare that to how other people act, can reason that it's highly unlikely Eggman just got his hands on a camera from the future out of nowhere when Eggman Nega is so protective of it, listens well enough to what is being said to notice tiny details and slip-ups, and can draw logical and correct conclusions based on all that information together. It means Silver is not at all dumb or unobservant. And thus, I would say he is not naive here! He doesn't trust "Eggman" as far as he can throw him, but also waits with his accusations before there is so much evidence it is impossible that what he suspects isn't true.
Sonic Rivals 2
And that shrewdness continues in Rivals 2! Eggman Nega directly says: "Ah, Silver, very perceptive! Nothing gets by you, I see." when Silver immediately calls him out when he shows up as "Eggman" again. Thus, he does not fall for the same trick twice! Interesting to note is that Eggman Nega did deny knowing anything about himself when disguised as "Eggman" in Rivals 1; is it possible he knew Silver would not believe him if he tried that again?
However, I would say Silver is somewhat more naive in Rivals 2 than in 1 because of a simple fact: he just figures Espio will know he is telling the truth because he is telling the truth.
Silver: Agh! Where did Eggman Nega take off to? Espio: Silver... What is this about saving our world? Silver: If you want to save your world, we have to hide the Chao in a safe place. Espio: You want me to believe that? Silver: Yes, why? Espio: Unbelievable as it may seem... For some reason, I trust you.
When Espio asks if Silver just wants him to believe that, Silver answers in affirmative while being completely earnest. There is absolutely no consideration of the fact Espio has no reason to believe him and might not believe him at all because Silver currently is basically kidnapping Chao left and right. He even tells Espio straight to his face that he is kidnapping Chao earlier in the game:
Silver: Hey, Espio! Where did you go? Espio: Silver! I know you're responsible for the disappearing Chao. Silver: That's right! To save our worlds. Espio: But that doesn't make sense. Why?
Eggman Nega interrupts before Silver can explain, but also here Silv comes steamrolling through with his honesty like a sledgehammer to the knees. So here Silver's naivete shows itself in an 'opposite' way compared to how it showed in '06, I would say: instead of taking other people at face value, he believes everyone takes him at face value because what he is telling is true. That can furthermore mean he thinks life is 'simple'; nicely black-and-white, where good people like him who want to save the world do not lie and deceive and thus immediately are believed by other good people. It just does not seem to occur to him that people do not automatically believe him, haha! He furthermore gets angry when people express scepticism about his world-saving attempts:
Knuckles: So Silver, what do you want with the Chao, anyway? Silver: I have to save your world or mine will be destroyed, too! Knuckles: What? And you think the Chao can help? You're crazy. Silver: I'll show you how crazy I am. Knuckles: Oh yeah? Bring it on!
I feel it definitely relates to the above-discussed, based on Silver's trusting attitude, but his reactions to not being believed are another story.
Sonic Colours, Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces
In Colours DS, Silver shows a bit more of a sassy side to him, mocking Eggman's ride as inaccurate and boasting to Blaze about his powers. He notices Orbot and Cubot appeared when he and Blaze neared a specific ride, which gives Blaze the incentive to urge Sonic to check it out. There is no indication of naivete as described above here. Silver doesn't have too big a role in Generations next, but he expresses clear distrust for when Sonic suddenly pops up while Silver is hanging out in the void. He asks if Sonic is an imposter/fake sent for the Emerald, and battles with him until Sonic has defeated him, thus proving he is real. Again: not a trace of naivete. I would even go so far as to say him not trusting Sonic immediately is the opposite of naivete.
And the same kind of goes for Forces, really. Silver is on top of things in the Resistance: he is helping with developing plans, he shoots Infinite's taunting down immediately, he is just generally very grounded and desiring to make things right for the world. For this game I truly cannot think of an example that shows him as a naive person. He definitely believes that they can make things better and turn the tide of the war, but not in an overly trusting, 'life is simple and fair' kind of way. At most, his brushing off of the 'strange readings' (Classic Sonic and Tails) in the Mystic Jungle as just another Eggman robot could perhaps show something like that? But I feel like that is quite the stretch and also not unbelievable for him to figure that is the case, considering the entire world is overran by robots at that moment.
Team Sonic Racing
(I nearly forgot about this game, woops.) This one is a bit of a doozy; I think the English Trash Talk Scene which I so detest was meant to give a sense of naivete to Silver... except it just directly contradicts the fact he trash talks everyone in the game itself. And also in this game he is shrewd otherwise: he immediately predicts there will be trouble in his very introduction, he alerts everyone the moment he sees Eggman and Dodon Pa talk (and is furthermore believed immediately by his friends), he asks Omochao's help to keep an eye on the tracks to sate his worries, and confronts Eggman directly about what he and Dodon Pa were discussing. Eggman is as transparant as can be about having hired Zavok in his denial, but Silver might not have been around when that was said (he was not in that cutscene) and thus he very well might have reached that conclusion by himself. So also here: zero taking-things-at-face-value. He does not believe Eggman in the slightest, and all his suspicions and bad feelings that he attempts to tackle and get to the bottom of throughout the game are proven correct.
Overall conclusion
So based on the above info from games and assuming I have not missed something, the only games wherein Silver has shown true signs of naivete are '06 and traces in Rivals 2. In the other games he is far more sceptical and distrustful. Rivals 1 furthermore shows him as quite shrewd and able to put various pieces of information together to see if it aligns with what he thinks is happening. So... I think the conclusion I can get from here is that Silver actually is naive no more, haha! It at least has not been shown in any recent game, with only '06 running on it. The fact that bios still extensively bring it up might relate to the fact Silver's backstory is still heavily tied to '06, which I talked about in an earlier post as well. I do think it is safe to say Silver has a very straightforward mindset: he believes others trust him because he is saying the truth in Rivals 2, the moment Sonic beats him in Generations is the moment he believes that Sonic is the real deal, and so on. So I think that is for me the best way I can describe Silver's naivete: it makes him extremely straightforward and gives him somewhat of a black-and-white mindset wherein people automatically trust him because he is speaking the truth (which is not how the real world works). But he is too perceptive, shrewd, and seemingly good at piecing together clues to be dumb or idiotic, that much is certain.
I feel like I got off-topic somewhat, but I hope I answered your question well!🍀
#silver the hedgehog#long post#sonic 06#sonic rivals#sonic rivals 2#sonic colours ds#sonic generations#sonic forces#this became long haha! but looking into it all was lots of fun! ^-^

“Iblis places his throne upon water; he then sends detachments (for creating dissension) ; the nearer to him in rank are those who are most notorious in creating dissension. One of them comes and says: "I did so and so." And he says: "You have done nothing." Then one amongst them comes and says: "I did not spare so and so until I sowed the seed of discord between a husband and a wife." The Satan goes near him and says: "You have done well." A'mash said: He then embraces him.”

" don't be shy now. be as loud as you like. " another thrust.
[ for iblis @ hunter ].
The logic of how this even worked out was impossible. Yet the two manage to work it out as the hedgehog lets out a loud moan. His witty quips are gone, his walls are absolutely melted. Speaking of walls, it was just a new sensation that his body is being penetrated. Panting in a rhythm as Hunter is fumbling to take his own length to release his seed out. Hunter babbles away with frustration and his mind is far gone.
"Shit! Fuck! A-Ah! S-So hot!"
This was almost better then eating and fucking females for his one night stands....almost. The Flames of Disaster should congratulate himself because Hunter clearly has never been fucked by a male before.

Seeds Of Iblis - Epileptic Muhammad
This band could be executed for their music.
Seeds of Iblis play raw Black Metal influenced by Arabic music. As influences they give Venom , Bathory , Mayhem and Slayer . In contrast to many other black metal bands that deal with anti-Christian themes in their lyrics, Seeds of Iblis treat anti-Islamic motifs. In addition, a kind of Islamic Satanism is taken up, some texts praise Iblis , a demon ( Shaitan ) mentioned in the Koran who has fallen away from God.Seeds of Iblis is a part of the Arabic Anti-Islamic Legion along with تدنيس, Janaza, مسجد الشيطان (Mosque of Satan) and False Allah.

Sonic AU Things 3 & Knuckles, because yes, I have more
Knuckles first ran into the native Chao of Angel Island at age 2, managing to become fluent in Chaoese. He only learned English(for lack of what language to put) from the Master Emerald(Tikal) in dream lessons
55 years before SA2, Gerald went to Angel Island(This was during an odd period when Angel Island was at ground level, yet not after all the echidnas died. In relation to Knuckles, he hadn't been laid yet), getting the idea to make Shadow a Faunan from the mural in Hidden Palace, as making what looked like a heroic savior of the world would definitely make sure no one ever forgot the name "Robotnik"
Along his hubristic train of thought, Gerald went to Little Planet(because it's a magic satellite that seemingly teleports above Never Lake for a month(I'm pegging it as March) before disappearing for the rest of the year) to get DNA for Shadow's original donor
Like in Sonic Underground, Aleena is Sonic's mother and Sonia and Manic are his siblings, as the three are triplets. However, Manic, as well as the triplet's father, Dewen, are porcupines instead of hedgehogs. Also like in the show, they're royalty, but of the Lune(to contrast against Blaze, who's princess of the SOL Kingdom. In a similar vein, Blaze's dimension's counterpart to Soleanna would be named after the moon)
Also in the vein of making Sonic and Blaze equal yet opposite, this headcanon by knockabiller on DA is canon, with the only caveats being that that Jet is older than Blaze, meaning he's aged up from canon from 14 to 15, and there's a younger sister, who I'm naming Pyre
As for why this dimension is like this? Blame Solaris. Blaze was originally from the timeline created when Iblis was released when the Egg Carrier crashed, born close to a year before Silver as a natural, yet much weaker pyrokenetic. When Silver sealed her and Future!Iblis into another dimension, that caused an entire change in the timeline placing Blaze into the royal family, and making it mirror the Chaos Dimension. Since he was removed from time(though how it went down in specifics is for another post), Solaris decided to entertain himself in Non Existence by removing his counterpart, the moon and space deity Lunorin, from existence as well and started seeing just how "equal but opposite" this could get. Since both aren't the best at understanding mortals(even if Solaris vaguely understood his "death" was meant out of both mercy and necessity), Blaze gets to suffer just as bad as Sonic. This whole thing is based off how Sonic 06 was meant to be set before Rush, with it being Blaze's origins
Metal Sonic isn't powered by an animal. Rather, he's the only Badnik to still be powered by a seed from the Little Planet flowers. One from Stardust Speedway, in fact
Aside from Shadow and Sonic, both Knuckles and Cream would also be able to use the 3 Chaos Powers(Control, Spear, and Blast). Sonic's are all wind themed/based(Control give him some wind, as if he traveled through/as it(ala John Egbert windifying), Spear is wind sharp enough to cut, Blast is a heatless explosion), Knuckles has more ground-based(Control give minor bits of erosion and growth, Spear is crystaline, Blast is much like the eruption of a volcano), and Cream, having very high levels of Chaos Energy due to hanging around at least two Chao since she was 3, has them plant themed(Control actively leaves flowers where the uses was and goes, with the amount of emeralds used speeding up how fast they bloom and and how long they live, Spear being rather like Vine Whip from Pokémon, and Blast acting like a mini dust devil made of pollen)

@celestialcomedy from X
"...Huh. I guess they might. Maybe it's uncommon for onions to grow in the wild. I only find them on occasion."
By that, he assumed it was meant that there would be things like deer that eat onion. Silver was blissfully unaware that birds liked to eat seeds, as he'd only seen them high in the tree tops, and they flew away whenever he tried to get close to one. Probably could have caught up if he tried, but wouldn't that scare them further?
"Yeah. I'm from really far away."
Not a lie. Just not a mention that he was from the future. People tended to think he was making it up when he mentioned it, so he'd given up on that concept. It was easier to say he was from another part of the world. People were much quicker to believe that he was just a traveler.
"Jester? I'll call you that. You're not going to try to hurt me, are you?"
It was only fair he ask, just in case. While he lacked the fire, Jester did resemble some of the terrible beings back in Crisis City, with his horns, and arms. Traits the incredibly tall guy shared with Iblis. This obviously wasn't that fire demon, but it still made him, at least for now, nervous.
"If you're not here to cause any harm to the world, I won't let anyone hurt you."

EXPERIMENT IN TERRA - 45th ANNIVERSARY!
#onthisdatein1979
“That’s basically an episode of Quantum Leap. The Eastern Alliance was sort of introduced as a potential new threat, but they weren’t really much of one. It’s kind of fun, but again, here’s where they went right. Starting with “War of the Gods”, they more or less made you forget about the Cylons. Maybe we got rid of them.”
--Scott Mantz (Access Hollywood)
Original Air Date: 3/18/79
Writer: Glen A. Larson
Director: Rod Holcomb
Guest Cast: Edward Mulhare, Melody Anderson, Nehemiah Persoff, Ken Swofford.
Synopsis:
Apollo and Starbuck catch up with the escaping Eastern Alliance destroyer and follow it back to Terra. But, before they can make contact with the planet, Apollo is plucked out of space by the same super-race that helped them defeat Count Iblis. The alien’s representative, John, asks Apollo to help him prevent a war that will affect them all. Apollo is sent down to the planet, assumes the identity of a Terran astronaut, and must somehow stop the war that will wipe out both sides.
Comments:
Many fans really like the premise of this episode. I like that it’s a part of a little Galactica mid-season trilogy. The Terra Trilogy is made up of the episodes Greetings from Earth, Baltar’s Escape, and Experiment in Terra. Producers were attempting to find other antagonists besides the Cylons as much as they were finally putting “story arc’s” together. Remember, originally BSG was to be a series of made for TV movies. There was no weekly serial prep or story arc prepared originally.
It wasn’t until mid-season where you started to see the seeds of possible serialized story telling. I’ve said before I was on board with an “Eastern Alliance” story as a change up. Just not a fan of the space nazi thing so much. Here, for the most part, from a story perspective I think everything works. There is drama. There is comedy. There is action and the Galactica using lasers to shield an entire planet! All good stuff! Famously, Richard and Dirk swapped dialogue at the last minute for this episode and Apollo took Starbuck’s place as “Charlie Watts”.
“Richard went to Glen and was upset. He wanted more fun stuff to do. And, what Glen did was he took the script that he had already written and gave all of Starbuck’s dialogue to Richard and he gave all of Richard’s dialogue to Dirk.”
--Terrence McDonnell (Story Editor)
“I was very thankful for that. I had told Glen that I felt a little frustrated. I felt that my character had been painted into a box. I was tired of playing the straight guy, the perfect hero.”
--Richard Hatch
Again, I get it. But, for me the comedic timing of some of the scenes were off and Apollo just wasn’t acting like Apollo. However, that’s not my biggest problem with the episode. No, it’s definitely the production value here. From Nationalists soldiers wearing dirt bike helmets to awkward set design (clearly inside 1970s era buildings, complete with tile floor of the era), it just felt like Galactica “light”.
That said, the Ship of Lights, the Galactica racing to save the day at Light Speed and then blasting missiles out of the atmosphere, and again the plot/sub-plots all worked fine for me.

Adam’s Progeny Accept Allah
Remember when your Lord brought forth from the children of Adam, from their loins, their seed
(or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves saying: ‘Am I not
your Lord?’ They said: ‘Yes! We testify’ lest you should say on the Day of Resurrectio:. ‘Verily
we have been unaware of this’. Or lest you should say: ‘It was only our father aforetime who took
others as partners in worship along with Allah and we were merely their descendants after them;
will you then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced al batil (polytheism) and
committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah?’
Thus do We explain the Ayah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations etc) in detail
so that they may turn unto the truth”. (Ch 7:172-174 Quran).
Adam’s progeny declared: “Our Lord, we bear witness that You are our Lord; we have no other
Lord but Allah. Allah raised their father Adam, and he looked at them and saw those of them who
were rich and those who were poor, and those who had good forms and those who did not. Adam
said: “O Allah! I wish You to make Your servants equal.” Allah replied “I love being thanked.”
Adam saw among the prophets like lamps among his progeny.
The Prophet’s Covenant
Almighty Allah declared:
“Remember when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (o Muhammad), and
from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary. We took from them a strong covenant. (Ch
33:7 Quran).
In another verse Allah the Exalted commanded:
“So set you (O Muhammad) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifan
(worship none but Allah Alone) Allah’s Fitrah (Allah’s Islamic Monotheism), with which He has
created mankind. No change let there be in khalqillah (the Religion of Allah–Islamic
Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most men know not.” (Ch 30:30 Quran).
Another version of the story relates that Allah took a handful of the dust of the earth and mixed
into it the colors, white, black, yellow and red. That is the reason why men are born different
colors. When Allah mixed the dust with water, it turned into potter’s clay that makes a sound. It
was fermented and had a smell. Iblis passed by, wondering what was going to be made of that
clay. From the clay Allah created Adam. he molded his form with His own hands and blew His
spirit into him. Adam’s body quivered as life was imbued into it.
“Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.).” (Ch 37:82 Quran).
