I think it would be so fun(read:horrible and angsty) if it were the guard friend(who I'll call Raymond for convenience). Like Evbo falls off the ladder in his house or something and takes the trip back down as an excuse to talk to Raymond and somehow Raymond goes "yeah, well, I don't really like people" and Evbo goes "oh well I'm not a person so that's fine lol". like he would not take this seriously he'd just joke about it and only realize how horrible a thought that is after Raymond establishes that it's really fucked up

bonus points for if Raymond has to get the diamond swords to back him up in order for Evbo to believe that maybe this isn't the healthiest thing to be thinking :)

Hey y'all. A bit of a more serious topic to get onto this morning with the tiktok ban around the corner and all. This is probably going to be much bigger than some people make it out to be.

A lot of folks are deleting anything by Meta from their devices in response to this. I think this is a great idea as those apps steal more data than tiktok. But I want to implore people who have deleted Meta/Facebook not to redownload it after this is all over. Let it rot.

Shareholders have supposedly bought up stocks from Meta now that their value has nose dived. What this means is once people start using it again, it's value increases, and so does the money with it, making the rich richer.

It is extremely important, especially now with Inauguration in a few days, that you don't let them have that money back. This is inside trading and how they get more money without losing much to begin with. If we are going face first into an Oligarchy for the next 4 years, make it hurt them.

It takes 30 days to delete a Facebook account. Just wait and see the value drop again once profiles actually start going black. Choke out their flow of finances and leave them to starve. Going to RedNote and deleting apps like Facebook is causing ripples. Keep at it. Make them sweat.

this is silly but it's my birthday next monday and I'm trying to figure out how to celebrate, but the problem is that one of my friends is going to be away for the entirety of the month, and then by the end of the month another friend is leaving for a year+ long trip, so I can't celebrate with both of them either way. the friend who is away for the month has her birthday just a few days before mine, so we were thinking we could just celebrate once she's back even if it's a bunch of weeks late. BUT I still can't decide how I wanna do it, because I now suddenly have this thought that I wanna go clubbing bc I went last weekend and it was v fun, and me and two other friends have been thinking of going to this gay club anyway, but the friend whose bday is close to mine doesn't really like clubbing. so maybe I could go clubbing and then celebrate again when she's back. but then I start overthinking it. I wanted to bar hop originally and she'd probably be into that too. then I started wondering if I should just have dinner, but then maybe I should invite my brother and sister in law. but then I was wondering if I should just do drinks next weekend since my friend who is leaving for a year+ will be here bc we're going to a show. but then

Ok ok but you wanna know the real tea?? I've read several beach fics at this point (which are all awesome btw, y'all are amazing writers) and it's a beloved staple to have Edwin be somehwat scandalised at everyone's beach outfits not to mention all flustered from seeing Charles in swim wear. Which is a Good Trope, don't get me wrong, I love that just as much as the next person

HOWEVER

I think actually it's Charles who should be more shooketh about Edwin in his funky lil edwardian two piece!!

Picture this. The year is 1916. You are 16 year old Edwin Payne with a bunch of repressed gay thoughts. Much unpleasantness happens, you die and get dragged to hell, even more unpleasantness happens, 70 years later you finally manage to claw your way up and suddenly women are allowed to vote. There's been not one but two world wars, several countries you grew up reading about in the news don't exist anymore and mini skirts are a thing now.

All I'm saying is, for all the teasing Edwin gets for "What is a handjob?" and "Crystal's internet", this kid was essentially thrust into a scifi world full of weird shit and gets mostly by via an attitude which can only be paraphrases as "fuck it, this might as well be a thing (maybe ask Charles about it later)". King of adaption, master of radical acceptance.

Charles on the other hand, and I say this with only love in my heart, is at his core a boomer. He was there for every tiny gradual shift from '89 to modern day. Sure, he was dead for most of that time, but that's not really relevant. All I'm saying is, seeing the bbc announce marriage equality was probably a bigger shock to Charles than it was to Edwin. That's a guy who already had to accept he will never fully wrap his head around home television.

Also consider the states of undress they've been exposed to seeing the other in. Edwin was stripped to his underwear in hell and still had his knees and elbows covered. And that was probably a more exposing outfit than he'd ever be comfortable with. His usual casual get up features a sweater vest for crying out loud! Meanwhile you have Charles going full 'ceps out in his undershirt first chance he gets. Edwin either got real cool with a lot of shit real fast or he would have combusted several times over those 30 years.

And yes yes, we've all seen Edwin "Haunted By Gay Thoughts" Payne's mental slideshow of abs n hips close ups after getting one (1) glance at the Cat King's stomach. But to his credit, the man was going through a full blown sexuality crisis at that and has since emerged victorious.

So all I'm saying is. Edwin seeing Charles shirtless at the beach? Probably not even the first time this is happening, a lil flustering for sure but just last week he saw two people making out nasty on the tube so hell if he knows. Charles seeing Edwin's kneecaps and upper arms for the first time? Incredible, show stopping, pride and predjudice 2005 hand flex level of suppressed horniness.

Anyway. I'm writing this fic now and none of y'all can stop me.

You go to sit down when you feel hands clamp down on your hips from behind you, pulling you down with enough force to not hurt you. You look behind yourself, seeing Theo with a smirk pulling on his lips. You let him pull you into his lap.

Mattheo lights a cigarette and inhales deeply before exhaling. He silently offers it to Theodore as he blows the smoke out; Theo leaning in and inhaling the smoke, slightly touching Matty's lips as they make eye contact. Mattheo slithers his hand onto your thigh, you feel the warmth of his hand spread through your skin as you feel the few cold rings he has on mixing with the warmth.

He squeezes your thigh almost the same time Theo squeezes your waist, "you okay, pretty girl? Need anything?" You look at mattheo on your right, "no, I'm okay Matty. You?", "I'm okay. Now that I have you two here with me." He mumbles the last few parts of his sentence, a slight smile appearing onto his lips. Although, he knows you two still heard him.
