We got the Shapeshifter episode so let's look at whose was whose, and what it says about the characters!

We'll start with Laios because he's the simplest. Despite both his own and the parties doubts, he does have a solid idea of who everyone is in his head, all their personalities match (well, his Marcile is a little more serious), but as stated it's the little details he gets wrong, Chilchucks wrap, Senshi's helmet and Marcile's hair.

Chilchuck is more interesting as a character study, because while it's easy to write off as "hater energy" I do think it says more about him than that. His Senshi is the most simple probably because he knows Senshi least, his thoughts are just "that handsome dwarf", but he has worked with Laios and Marcile for a while and suddenly they've become more unpredictable to him. Visually they're both accurate, but Laios' monster eating and Marcile's forbidden magic have altered his perception, while the "I must consume" Laios is more overt, this is what he pictures as Marcile's spellbook.

Marcile and Senshi I'll handle together because their biases both come from the same place: they're longer lived and have more of a focus on first impressions, because to them it's not been as long as it is for others, AND they have more overt racial bias. Both of them see Chilchuck as a child, in the bonus Senshi diary pages he actually thinks Chilchuck is a child tall-man, not a half-foot. Their Laios' also speak to this first impression/bias idea. Tall-Men look effeminate to Dwarves, so his Laios is soft and very Falin-like, while Marcile was told he looked "just like Falin" and was taken a back by his masculine features and blows them out of proportion.

Finally, Senshi's Marcile is, as stated in the description there, purely from bias, but again looking at the Senshi diary, it's also how he draws her when petrified

I mainly wanted to make this post because on the surface it seems odd that Laios' Shapeshifters are so "normal" while everyone else's, especially their ideas of him, are more caricature and I wanted to explore how it's not like, then being bad friends or being mean, but an example of character exploration!

Eddie cheating arc leading to Eddisol breakup + Kim bailing immediately once she realizes what a mess he put her in + Chris being hurt because Eddie keeps putting these women in his life too soon and then blowing shit up when he starts getting attached and then Ramon and Helena come to town and things blow up with the will and the lockbox of feelings and things Buck and Eddie Don’t Talk About gets ripped open…something something Eddie kisses or otherwise says something to Buck but Buck is like…you are SO fucked up right now I can’t even trust that you mean this and even if you do, I can’t (because he’s happy! He’s happy with Tommy, he has a good thing going! Why does this have to be happening now???)—THINKING THOUGHTS

Heather would probably become misunderstood as a theif, perhaps someone who walks the line and spends time with outlaw gangs to get information for Hiccup and the other cowboys?

I can see her doing something extraordinary like becoming a horse vaulter at rodeos to earn money or at least keep it as a guise/cover for her double life. Maybe her adopted family taught her some tricks in the past?

She’s also probably the only one apart from Eret in the gang who carries a gun 🔫 as Astrid, Lout, Ruff & Tuff co are literally just cowboys, which fun fact, most cowboys didn’t carry guns! Hicc & Legs would be just guys from the nearby town and so also probably wouldn’t be bringing a gun on their journey…

The Paper Stars AU won the poll so here it is!!!

So this is basically a Secret Agent AU

Sun and Moon, two of the top agents in their field are tasked with stopping Y/N, an ex-agent turned international super thief. Sun and Moon are the only people to have captured them (even though they escaped during transport) and the only ones so far to fully figure out their clues and secrets left behind.

Meanwhile Y/N enjoys the challenge of a good heist, even more so with a couple of agents on their heels. They always leave behind a paper star at each heist location as a calling card, and Sun and Moon were the first to realize they leave hints for what their next target is going to be.

Sun is a bit of a tinkerer in this AU, often testing and creating new gadgets for him and Moon to use in the field! He's better at hacking ane coding than he is at inventing and mechanics, but a few of his inventions have proven quite useful

Moon is far better at putting Sun's gadgets to use than Sun is, but he's also known for being resourceful and quick on his feet. He's still got an old injury that was never properly repaired right but that doesn't stop him.

Y/N was once the agency's top operative, specializing in disguise and covert missions. After a huge mission gone awry Y/N took a year off duty before suddenly abandoning the agency and become a world renowned thief. Nobody is quite sure how or why and Y/N refuses to explain.

As much as Y/N adores the two they aren't the type to pull their punches. Often tying the agents up to make a get away or roughing them up in a fist fight. They're the very definition of a wild card. Nobody can ever be sure if they'll slip in and out of a heist through stealth or make a big show out of pulling off a caper, and that uncertainty makes the entire organization jumpy which is just how Y/N likes it
