I just rewatched Everything Everywhere All At Once (which is easily in my top 5 movies of all time), and I was just thinking about Jordan Li watching this movie for the first time. Maybe as like, a movie night with Marie.
Just getting super into the story, marveling at the fight scenes, the characters, etc.
They both definitely cried, like, a bunch. And laughed, just as much.
Marie would notice how much Jordan was being affected and would end up just holding them and comforting them.
And they just kinda sit there after the movie's over, processing the masterpiece they had just witnessed.
I can see them needing like a week to recover from that movie, lol. (I know I did).
[Seriously tho, if you haven't seen this movie, go watch it. It made me cry my eyes out one second and laugh the next and question life all at the same time. Perfection. Also, Michelle Yeoh is Queen 👑]

Can’t get over how fast Logan decided him and Wade were a pair
Right after Pyro made Johnny fall out of the sky Logan goes “we don’t know that guy”
Logan what do you mean WE, you’ve known Deadpool for all of half an hour and spent half of that time trying to kill him!
Wolverine really saw that Deadpool could also regenerate and immediately decided they were a package deal, he’s still gotta act grumpy though, gotta keep up the reputation

showing fabian and riz's scenes back to back was brutal
very often as a kid your friend group have varying degrees of financial stability and very different family dynamics, and to see fabian, with an accessible trust fund and a huge mansion and all the opportunities he wants in the world open to him, and immediately after, showing us riz and his single mother working herself down to the bone to keep her kid and herself afloat and struggling to get him to a good college is heart wrenchingly real.
and then on the other side, fabian who has two parents finds no one to listen to him and console him after he had a very hard summer, and at the end of the night finds himself all alone in a big house because they decided, in his most formative years when he needs the most guidance, to leave him and go for a vacation for a full year or more, uncaring ofc because they are both rich immortal beings (he isn't). while we watch riz and his mother love eachother to no bounds, we watch this exhaused mom wake up at 3 am and sit by her son and listen to him, and notice all the little details about how he looks and how he changed and how he grew, looking at her little boy like not all the riches in the world compare to his little smile, knowing that fabian, with all that he has, can never have that. heart wrenching.

Very normal day on the internet
Both Ukrainians and Palestinians deserve safety. People from peaceful countries, who put victims against each other and belittle their struggles, deserve to go through the same thing we do

Okay if you haven't yet, and you have Netflix/Paramount+, consider giving "School Spirits" a chance.
It looks like a silly little cheesy teenage ghosts show, I put it on for background noise, and then got totally engrossed in the mystery. It's VERY well written, very well filmed, the mystery was GREAT and the payoff at the end is also great.
One of the things majorly lacking in shows I've recently tried to watch is that they try to do a twist/reveal at the end that comes out of nowhere. They don't want you to guess what they're doing. This show doesn't do that. This show wants you to guess. They give you seven different mysteries and enough clues to guess (most of) what is going on, so that when you get the final puzzle piece to any given mystery, it feels GREAT.
The story premise is this: a teenager in hs wakes up as a ghost in the hs, and doesn't remember how she died, and with the help of the other ghosts, tries to solve the mystery of her own death.
Simple premise. BEAUTIFULLY executed. Not all of the questions that arise get answered, but the main one (what she doesn't remember) gets solved by the end of the season, leaving the "why/how and what comes next" to be carried to the next season. It does a cliffhanger RIGHT. But now I desperately want to see the second season (which I believe has been approved, so it's a matter of waiting).
So pretty please, if you're looking for something to do and a great, engaging lil mystery to watch, consider! School Spirits!!
