Right now my two hyperfixations are Ace Attorney and Ride the Cyclone and the gremlin in my brain is telling me to smush them together. So... Ace Attorney rtc AU.

I think the most obvious one is Klav as Mischa. They're both Europeans who make music, somewhat of a bad boy reputation, and are DEFINITELY at least a little fruity. Plus Klav would absolutely belt out a song for his lobe.

Next, I think that Miles Edgeworth himself would be Noel Gruber. They're both sassy, pretentious gay men, Miles definitely has a secret thing for French noir films, and Miles would hate working at a Taco Bell and having a song he ironically listened to played at his funeral. Plus Bratworth is so Noel Gruber.

Ocean is Sebastien Debeste. Ocean thinks she's da best (see what I did?) just like Sebastian. Both are top of the class and take that a little too seriously. Sebastian would also call himself a futher muckin' hero. He's also a bit misguided like Ocean but ultimately has a good heart. He would also want the second chance at life as bad as Ocean because he knows he can do great things.

Constance was a bit difficult. I mean, I doubt anyone in the Ace Attorney series had a lot of good memories in their childhood homes, but I think that Maya was the closest. I mean, she goes back to Kurain often and has good memories with Mia and Pearl. Then there's Constance’s song Sugarcloud that really seals Maya in her role. Maya absolutely believes in escapism from her issues. Like, look at her family, then look at her. There's no way that girl isn't burying all of her problems. Plus out of all the characters, Maya is one of the nicest.

Here me out for Ricky: Apollo. Firstly, there's an entire musical number about sexy cat women, and who better to shove into the roll than the man who calls his cat his girlfriend? And with his million backstories, it's almost inevitable that he lived in a house with fourteen cats at some point. Ricky is also a very sweet character and very perceptive to others' emotions, especially Jane's.

Jane Doe herself. The spooky, odd girl who has no identity. Because this is an AU and I am God, the role of Jane Doe is going to Phoenix Wright. One, Phoenix would HATE not having an identity. Through the Ace Attorney series, he made a name for himself. His career and reputation meant so much to him that he was completely lost after being disbarred. Not only that, but we know very little about Phoenix's past. We don't know his parents, if he had any siblings, or what his childhood was like aside from everything with Miles. All we really know about his family is his distant grandfather, Ryunosuke Naruhodo. He would also be devastating on Jane as he's the protagonist of his series, and he would lose that.

Lastly, there's Karnak. The one who summoned these silly dead teenagers and gave one another chance at life. It's literally the judge. In Ace Attorney, he listens as these goofy little fruits make their cases and ultimately decides if the defendant lives or dies. While Karnak doesn't necessarily condemn the other to death, he has the power to give one the prize of life.

CAMPFIRE RETREAT - SUMMER EVENT

Welcome Lunar Covians to our town wide Campfire Retreat! The bonfires casted a golden light across the stars as all residents convened down by the beach for the Opening Ceremony of what was promised to be a fun bonding week. In the spirit of restoring the town to the Lunar Cove it was once and preparing to stop the Catalyst, the Council hired Solstice Therapy to host a plethora of trust building exercises that will bring everyone closer together and remind everyone what there is to protect here.

OPENING CEREMONY

The ceremony kicks off with Elif Karadaş and Safiye Yildiz, standing on a wooden stage decked out in Solstice themed t-shirt, welcoming everyone to Campfire Week. They then run through how this retreat will work. Campfire week will take place all over town, kicking off with the opening ceremony and ending with a camping weekend out in the woods over in Echo Acres. They've planned a bunch of fun activities to help everyone get to know each other a bit better. The run-through of these activities can be found below. But, the first half of the week will be focused on strengthening the bonds of the existing organizations, starting off within people's own networks and comfort zones. This first half of the week has been dubbed "the Field Days" in which residents will rep their own organizations colors (with unaffiliated species joining the Coalition to help even out the numbers) and compete in a variety of competitions to win points. There will be critical thinking and strategy involved as the teams devise game plans, assign roles and try to claim victories. From team building to team bonding, the second half of the week, will be focused on branching out. Rather than being on a team with your own organizations, you will be paired off with someone of different species than you to better get to know one another through some more camp-themed activities. Last but not least, everyone will reconvene in Echo Acres for a weekend camping event to put everything you may have learned throughout the week to the test.

After Elif & Safiye ran through how the event will work, they invited each resident up one by one for trust falls. Each resident will turn around so that their back is facing the crowd and fall back for the crowd to catch them. Everyone who participated will receive points. The trust fall results are as follows-

Everyone participated, except for Kui, Bexley, Eren, Amrita, Ken, Scott and Rio.

Nearly everyone caught everyone, but those who didn't/won't receive the full amount of points are as follows-

Suresh wouldn't catch any of the fae (feeling that they should figure it out themselves) or Daphne or Sebastien

Daphne wouldn't catch Suresh or Dilan

Dilan would catch everyone but Daphne

Aaliyah would only catch the vampires, the Leaders and the Selvis.

Todd wouldn't catch Dilan

Rohan wouldn't catch Ralph, Todd or Suresh.

Leyla wouldn't catch Suresh or Noel.

Linden would drop Jake only because he'd find it funny to watch him fall on his ass

Cece didn't catch anyone out of fear of being too weak, though she did want to.

Bri only caught Aaliyah, Ben, Billie, Briar, Dilan, Gia, Jonah, Ken, Leyla, Meena, Nico, Poppy, Ralph, Remmy, Rio, Rohan, Ronnie, Saf, Seb, Skye & Todd

Jas wouldn't catch anyone, but only because she hadn't been planning on participating, only to change her mind at the very end

Ralph wouldn't catch Elena

Rangi wouldn't catch Elena and would try to prevent anyone else from catching her

Kitty wouldn't catch Elena

Elena wouldn't catch Rangi and, when it came time for Elena to fall back into the crowd, she would end up falling on top of a dog pile of wolves who tried to catch her, but were tripped into each other as they tried to prevent her fall.

After the trust falls, everyone gathered around the bonfires for campfire tunes and s'mores. At 10p, and in honor of the Fourth of July, fireworks lit up the night sky. After the firework show concludes, everyone is welcome to go home to get a good night sleep for the activities to come. Though, if you aren't tired just yet, you are welcome to stick around for beers, beverages, more food and ghost stories around the campfire told by the tour guides of the Seen It Route.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The event will run OOC from July 12th until July 27th (taking place over the week of the 13th-21st IC).

This event is going to work a little differently than previous event. This is a character-driven event, but what makes this event unique is how interactive the different activities will be.

Below is a rundown of the event. As of now, you have all of the information you need to write any starters for the Opening Ceremony. But, as for the rest of the week, we ask that you please refrain from posting anything (starters, outfits etc.) pertaining to those activities until the plot drop associated with it is dropped. We wanted to try out a new format for this character-driven/happy event where we give you all a brief rundown for what is to come to help you plan out your starters and threads. This way, if you see that there will be a plot drop later in the week pertaining to a camp activity you want to write about, you will know to maybe hold off on writing that particular thread until that plot drop is posted. There are instructions below as to which activities you can write about now and which to hold off on until the plot drop is posted as well as when the plot drop will be posted. But, if you have any questions please let us know!

Also, if you like this new format, we'd love for you to let us know either via the discord chat or the main. As we are testing it out to see if it is helpful.

As we mentioned above, this event will be incredible interactive, so please keep an eye out for a number of questions and polls from your admins in the discord group chat to help build out/tailor the future drops based around your choices (think choose your own adventure style).

This event will be mandatory so every character is required to show up.

For anyone looking to bring in new characters, we will continue to have regular acceptances throughout the event.

What: To kick off Campfire Week, the different organizations will compete in a series of sports being Baseball, Archery, Canoeing, Horseback Riding & Dodgeball (bracket style), ending the field days with Capture the Flag & the Werewolf BBQ. - More information in plot drop.

What: On Tuesday, you will no longer be on your team, but instead will be paired up with another species. We will be pairing each character off with a character they haven't interacted with much as of yet. This is a good way to build connections with character you might not have spoken to yet. There will be a number of options as to what your pairs can do together from spending the day handcuffed together to having to take care of an egg baby etc. While we ask that you write a thread with the partner we paired you up with, you are welcome to write starters pertaining to the activities in this post to come with anyone of the opposite species as well (in case you want to wait on a thread to see what the details of this post entail) - More information on this to come.

TASK 1: Artist Research 1

First image: Chiharu Shiota's The Soul Trembles Shiota's work demonstrates the use of line and direction, this was the first work installation that popped into my mind when the week's topic was brought up. The way she uses overlapping lines to create a more dense area. This influenced me to try and experiment with the number of wires to use and spin together to mimic the rope-like texture. I would have hoped to achieve the "string branch" which would have been the second component of the task, I know the unwinded strands of the string would have been an interesting feature to play with and one that could closely work reflect Shiota's work.

The Troikas' Arcades is a fun inspiration and research find. The way the light goes from a straight line which then dispurses out into multiple rays of light would have been something that I used inspo for when attempting to create the "string branch" in which the string is still winded and as it slowly goes down, it spreads out and unwinds. The direction of which the light disperses into is something I take inspiration from as it has this natural flow from one state to another.

SWEET HEARTS WEEK - SNOW IN PLOT DROP

Sweet Hearts Week was going off without a hitch. Hope filled the newly paved streets and love was in the air as well as the sudden flakes of snow that began to fall one by one. Before the Lunar Covians knew it, they found themselves in the midst of a snow storm. Authorities advised everyone to stay inside and buckle down for the night as the snow continued to grow worse and worse.

It's the last snow fall of year and the Lunar Covians now find themselves snowed in with people who they least expected.

REMINDERS
