Oh my god. I was already set to hand this series my first A+ rating of 2025–and then the post-credits gift they gave us!!

I had a rocky start with this show—kept trying to watch it right before bed and the pilot was confusing and kept putting me asleep. But once I gave it a chance in a non-groggy state, it swiftly captured my heart, more and more with every episode. Now it’s one of my favorites!

Agreed! It was also the only BL I’ve seen where the romantic lead with the disability was the caretaker instead of being taken care of in some way. Very very clever and cool how they didn’t just omit the caretaker trope but instead reversed it!

It's just beautiful to me, that among so many stories that treat disability as something that should be cured in order for the characters to be considered complete/loveable/get their happy ending, See Your Love actually came in and said that no, you're actually deserving of love and respect and care without having to "fix" yourself into a perfect being, because you already are a whole person, and being disabled doesn't make you "less than", on the contrary, it's a part of you that can also be cherished not because any other reason than because it's a part of you, it's a piece of you that fits in the puzzle of yourself, not something that has taken a piece out of it, there's things you can't control and that's okay, it's not a moral failing, and you don't need to be anything else than yourself to find love.

maybe the reason See Your Love felt so comforting and warm is simply because it understood and portrayed what we as humans have felt too at some point of time— the insecurities, the need for comfort and someone just being there and loving us all throughout the process of becoming better and healing.

each character is so beautifully written, and it portrays all of human emotions, and realistic situations that most of us probably have went through.

Shao peng's insecurities and fear of not being loved fully due to his deafness, and somewhere the struggle to accept that his deafness might stop him from fully helping the people around him. Xiziang, who couldn't pursue his true passion, who just wanted his brother to love him, and a family that was accepting of him.

Jessica, who had never experienced love in her whole life, and just knew it in a transactional form.

Shuhe, who felt guilty for the way she had reacted, and yet was fiercely protective of ShaoPeng when she realised her mistake.

Zicheng, who wanted to kill his brother (alil unhinged) but realised that life is jus simple. and Xiziang likes it simple. He realises that he has been fucking himself up over nothing, and the part where he asks Jessica if ShaoPeng is good to Xiziang is just 🥺🥺

ShaoPeng's parents too, who struggled abit with communication with their son, but didn't love him any less and supported him and Xiziang too throughout all their endeavours.

Also the whole failed gangster and rich business man trope going on with Jonathan and Xinjia, LMAO.

Overall, this show speaks to me on a spiritual level. It has flawlessly picked out the themes and troubles of every character, and they all, at the end of the show— and VERY REALISTICALLY MIGHT I ADD, overcome it. and that's the beauty, my friends, of See Your Love.

It's how Zixiang lets Shaopeng express his negative emotions and not just lets but pushes him until he does and teases him because he tries to deny everything and so the blinding light of love is always following them.
