Finally watched The Heart Killers episode 6, and it's the train wreck we all saw coming. And the trailer for next week did NOT help! WTF are we supposed to do until next Wednesday?

A hundred SIGHS! We are so sad. Watching Fadel and Bison when they realized they were being betrayed was the worst.

🐠 the overly optimistic, want to root for everyone, mom in me is struggling with this entire show. I hurt before hurts even happen and it's hard not to wish for them to run screaming from each other to avoid the pain that we all know is coming. Why is this happening and why am I watching?!?

🐈 Ouch. WTF did I just watch? Why is my face leaking?!? You better fix this or else! #bison is my spirit animal

We both want to see some massive apologies from Kant and Style for breaking Bison and Fadel.

a random babble from Dori 🐠: My introverted self should have been very excited to spend the loud family gathering alone in my room watching Fourever You. And for the most part, I was. But since the only reason I got to be alone was because I managed to drop a dish on my face (talent) that split my lip wide open and it would reopen every time I smiled or laughed, kind of dampened some of the joy. Plus I had to hold my cheeks together when Hill and Ter threatened to make me laugh.

Hill knows the magic word and Ter caves every time. I'm curious to see when and how often this power is used...

💌 May all my fellow drama addicted introverts find some time to watch an episode or two without dropping a dish on their face.

Bringing more Mark and Joke comparisons because there are SO MANY.

This post will be about posture, and the way War works his characters to be perceived differently purely by the way he stands on his two feet.

Oh, the perfection with which he prepared both of these characters is out of this world.

Let me illustrate:

Joke, when he stands, stands taller; leaves no room of doubt he’s the chillest, coolest, most confident person, and cares very little how people are perceiving him at the moment,

as long as he feels awesome. [his insecurities are not rooted in the way he looks or the way strangers perceive him]

His head is kept high when he speaks. If you watch the show again, you’ll realize he’s always looking ahead and up unless he wants to go unnoticed,

and meets people’s eyes unwaveringly as he works his way through his elaborated ruses to get what he wants.

[We’ll talk more about how that changes with the object of his affection, Jack, on later posts]

Mark, my beloved, on the other hand, stands to look smaller than he is; not on purpose, of course, as it’s a deeply rooted thing within the character itself.

He does not look people in the eye for prologued periods of time, more of often than not looking away when he speaks to anybody.

Yes, that gradually develops as the show progresses, but shyness is an essential part of this character.

His posture is not completely relaxed; it’s slightly tense which casts light into the character’s personality:

Mark wants to be standoffish and cool, but his innocence and sweet, gentle demeanor are truly his worsts enemies.

He tries, though, throughout the entire show, to make it happen, but breaks off of it the moment someone (Vee or Mark’s dad) does or says something that awakens strong emotions.

When that happens he fails, because Mark cannot, for the life of him, hide his true feelings.

A stark contrast to Joke, an absolute master in hiding who he really is.

All in all, Joke’s posture comes from a confidence rooted in a combination of maturity and not giving two single flying shits

And Mark’s posture comes from a confidence rooted in a combination of innocence, self-esteem and guts.

War has done a hard deep dive in both characters; created entirely opposite personas and made both Mark and Joke have so much depth and detail to them a million more things could be said about them.

There are hundreds of little details that War has added to each of his characters. He truly has thought about every single mouth twitch down to a T.

Every head movement, his micro expressions, and even the way he speaks, even though it’s the same language, the same words.

Everything about these two characters is completely opposite. And yes, the fact that they are both making opposite fashion statements adds a lot of weight to their differences, obviously, but that’s not enough at all to create what War has created.

Just imagine eighteen year old Mark in Joke’s crop tops and feeling incredibly self-conscious, and twenty (five? six?) Joke in Mark’s fancy, neatly tucked-in dress shirts and wanting nothing more than to take them off. (Joke has worn that type of clothing before only while pretending to be someone he isn’t, so it does not count. When he’s himself, he opts to wear all baggy items)

I could go on forever, guys, but this post is already too long, so I’ll just say one more thing:

I’d die for this man.

Yes we are still watching Brewing Love. Why do we have to have a job and sleep?

Omg! Why is this show so freaking great?!?! ❤ We are enjoying Brewing Love so much and it keeps getting better and better! This show seriously was like "how can we take this super adorable show and make it cuter???" We love everything about it. And these scenes 😍 Min Ju and Hwi are the best!

Wow. This show was so good. Painful, but so worth it. Gave us a lot to process and unpack with complex and real characters. One of us has already rewatched it. Really beautifully done series.

Do Hoe is a high school student trapped in an abusive home that wants nothing more than to get into college and escape this life. After embarrassing his family, Ju Yeong is sent away and works to pursue his dreams of going to college for Taekwondo. Ju Yeong's bright and cheerful personality brings momentary joy to Do Hoe's painful life before the realities of life rip them apart. Many years pass before they meet again, but wounds remain.

This series is AMAZING. The story and characters are complex and real and it takes some reflection and time to digest. Painful, yet beautiful and so worth it. Highly recommend.

Ending: 😍 Beautifully real and happy and perfect

Tears: Ouch. Definitely painful

Main Couple: Queer

Romance Scenes: On screen scenes add to the character and relationship development and are integral to the plot. Awkward and real and sweet and conveyed emotions.

Desperate for money to pay for his brother's medical treatment, Min accepts a kidnapping job. But when that job turns in to orders to kill the hostage, Min can't do it and decides to protect him instead.

Though it sounds like it could be a drama filled story, it is far from serious and way cute with little pain. The relationships are refreshing and the main story is about the characters, not the drama that occurs around them.

Watch if you want to see a cute relationship that ends with real healing.

Ending: 😍 Seriously great for so many reasons

Tears: Sad moments, and lots of on screen tears, but they didn't leave you sad for long and our eyes were dry.

Main Couple: Queer

Side Couple: Straight

Romance Scenes: Sweet and spice on screen NC scene

Flavor of Scenes: Even if the ropes don't appear in any NC scenes, we are counting them. And there is a little more flavor sprinkled through the series.

Heads up: kidnapping (duh), violence, PTSD/panic attacks, dead parents, murder, suicidal gesture

Favorite Things: Kidnap

Not what we had been expecting, but got a surprising amount of green flags with actual healing and growth by the end. These two both help each other and it was the sweetest thing about this series. Though we didn't get obsessed with this series like we do with some, it had so many things that we really loved about it.

Agree with @poetry-protest-pornography. The way Min has not stopped to figure out what he likes because he spends all his time and energy on Mhen is actually devastating. Learning that he feels responsible for his parents' deaths and that only makes it all worse. The way that Mhen forgives him, is grateful, and wants to see Min forgive himself and move forward living for himself is so beautiful. We really loved this part of the story.

Come on, this ending was just precious! The way Min wants to help Q change his association to his triggers was sweet as hell! GIFS posted by @pointlesscandies

Enjoyed this post show impression by @waitmyturtles. So glad we didn't give up on the series. Even though individual episodes didn't hook us, the characters growth made it worth the watch.

The therapy at the end was seriously our favorite part!!!! LOVED it so much! It's wasn't just that mental health was addressed, it was also how it was addressed. Great points by @pointlesscandies

Agreed. They introduced Po in a way that got me instantly invested and it was painful to watch him fall apart at the end of the first episode. I'm so hooked already and need to see their happy ending, although this first episode has me prepared for some pain before we get there.

Ouch!

Po feels so real already. He’s been hurt and he’s lost and confused because of it and it shows in his actions throughout the entire episode.

I loved him taking it personally and breaking down because Thame leaving so clearly reminds him of Earn’s betrayal and he knows how much it hurts for those left behind.  the catharsis of him finally getting to say to someone what he wanted to say to Earn.

I loved him, still, despite it all, trying so desperately to understand how someone who chose to leave could also feel hurt. 

I love the food truck order he can’t bring himself to change.

This show is already breaking my heart in the best way.
