It's not exactly the scenario you've described, but @/senblades' Faith For The Second Run does include Akechi being one of Wakaba's main research subjects for cogsci and Futaba trying to reconcile her vision of Wakaba with what she actually did as a scientist!

Be warned that it takes a while to come into play, but the fic is excellent well before that point.

Are there any fanfic where, after Akechi gone, Futaba found some of her mother's research pertains cogpsi with Akechi as the subject?

Bonus point: Human experimentation. I wanna see Futaba strunggle to reconcile her mother and the scientist. And there's a reason why Akechi doesn't have any regret killing any of his victims, including Wakaba.

(Bonus, bonus point: maybe Akechi is not the only victim of this research)

I'm still early in 5Ds but I really appreciate Yusei being good with kids. When he says he's going to find Lua and Luka says she wants to tag along, he advises that she stay home to rest, knowing she had a physically and emotionally exhausting duel earlier that day, but he still respects her opinion when she insists on coming. Good parenting from this guy whose age I don't know

Pendulum archetypes have some of my favorite takes on this tbh. Nemurelia sleeping on top of your extra deck and waking up when it runs out. Vaalmonica literally having the angel and the devil on your shoulders as pendulum scales. Vaylantz turning YGO into a tactics game. They're so cool and I love pendulum as a mechanic so much for that
