I am soooo happy how this turned out! The water was an absolute misery to work on, I can definitely feel I don't have experience drawing it, but hey. Thilia gives me great opportunities to figure out new stuff, and I'm grateful that I can kick myself out from my comfort, even if it happens accidentally :DD

I should definitely draw them more, I just love their chemistry and the way they care for each other. Probably this is the most beautiful romantic relationship I've ever had the pleasure following from the beginning, though I don't have a lot of experience on this field, mainly because I don't have a lot of active OCs. I'm also not playing DnD for the romance, but, when one of my children finds love, it has a warm welcome. It's usually a slow burn though, their true love can be extremely difficult to earn :DD

Isilmëarë Nendilmë Istavoreindë Milyavílë

Isilmëarë the Wind-weaver, a Teleri elf, captain of the ship Falmaroquën*, in the flowy outfit I happen to like very very much, which I made for a larp in

2018, apparently. Time doesn't half fly, eh! The character was first played in 2008, that iteration of the costume can be found here. I'm probably inappropriately proud of the idea to put that piece of irridescent sequin fabric underneath the two-tone chiffon, and I've adjusted it since to look even more like fish scales or the glint of sun on wave. It made a slight rustling sound when I walked, reminiscent of waves on a pebble beach.

As the larp was in October, yes, there's a lot of layers and several are wool. So many details... the jewellery, the fabrics and so on. There'll be a later post on that, I think, but there's also info on that DeviantArt.

Also we did the best with what we had concerning our camp, but it's hard to do much in a heavily industrialised forest area with the remnant planks of an ork fort littered all around...

Fun times! First Age-inspired elves are conducive to much fun drama, and causing a lot of accessible play for oneself and everyone around!

*I should check if that can be counted as correct Quenya, I guess.

Lineart took forever mainly because of the accessories, but I still wanted to try out something different with the hair. Lately I felt like the empty shape is not enough anymore, when it comes to illustrations, and I have to get the hang of it, but definitely had fun with it! Although in animations... I'm gonna stick with a simpler form :DD

Coloring was another little obstacle - everything was fine, until I had to finalize everything. I wanted Thilia to be in blue clothes, but I just couldn't figure out the correct tone and shade for it. After a lot of struggle with the hue-saturation sliders, I just gave up and decided to change the blue to a teal-ish color, probably for the best xD

And my fear officially said hi once I realized I have to do something with the water during the rendering process.
