4. Bölüm

You know, when I'm living my week before watching Baş Belası, I'm not anxious to watch it. But everytime I see the first minutes, I'm already enjoying the whole story, the WHOLE. After the first scene where it presented the case of the episode, it passed 10 minutes of pure comedy banter between Şahin and Ipek. I loved it! This whole "I don't want you" from Şahin is the type of interaction that will make them fall in love with each other. He seems distant, but he cares for everybody that is a decent human being from his point of view. Ipek is the most fierce and at the same time sweetest regarding Şahin's stupid treatment to herself. I admire Ipek for that.

Now I have to give a space here for Nazlı. Dilara Aksüyek is shining here with a comedic role in a drama series. I like Nazlı, she's kinda out of this world, but she's good. I don't know about you all, but in my experience, every futile girl in a soap opera/tv series/telenovela or movie is evil in some way. Nazlı is frivolous, doesn't understand the serious situation she and İpek are passing, she's incapable of finding a profession for her to work and yet, when Ipek and her mother loses all their money because of Ipek's jerk of an ex-husband/late husband, she's there offering support for anything they need (in her own way, of course) and at the same time walks around in a rose-colored world where her tantrums are validated. I just like her and don't know how to express her good performance.

Şahin has a sister?! I thought he was alone in this world as he's always claiming to have nothing securing him here and therefore he's perfect to lead in dangerous situations. I'm happy for that, it's best for him to have some family too. It's kind of depressing to live alone in this world and family is what keep us grounded. Hoping to see more of his sister.

The friendships are forming! All the scenes of Umut and Ipek doing a research together for the case was very good. And the culmination of them when Şahin demanded Umut to distract Ipek while he goes to interrogate the suspect was marvelous. I mean, Umut is awful at hiding things and right before he starts the distraction, he tells every new thing that arrived from the case to Ipek (Şahin ordered for them to not tell anything to Ipek). The distraction goes with Umut telling her about his "problems" with the arrival of his baby, and Ipek is listening to him as a good psychologist she is. She's SO cool, because the whole time she knew what he came for (to distract her) and she respected silently. Umut is the second sweetest character of the show. Ipek is the smartest of all them by noticing right away the discomfort of Umut with that other boss that's not reliable.

Now let's pass to some serious stuff. Let's talk about that corrupt boss of Şahin's team and that other blonde woman that now we discovered she's a children psychologist. Wtf! Now we have Ipek and her son unknownly being investigated by this criminal organization. I'm now worried that something will happen with Görkem in this sessions (she's a criminal open to kill both of them). You know, I thought that Şahin's boss was THE boss of the criminal organization, but apparently he's probably on the same level as Ipek's late ex-husband was before dying. And let's not forget how the episode ended with Şahin's hand on that man's throat, a well deserved move if we're talking about my desire of seeing this dude's fall (it's too early for something so huge as someone discovering about him now, but a good jab in his face is alleviating in some level).

I'm back with the second bölüm of Baş Belası! Again it started with a classical song, this time it was Prelude of Bach (I really love this piece!). Past week was a remixed version of Bizet's Carmen: Habanera and the next week I'll tune my ears to discover the next one.

I liked that before the opening, they put a scene to set the mood of the episode. The opening song is marvelous! Then it comes the basic idea of the show, a death per episode for them to investigate. I have to be honest, I thought it wouldn't be connected to the whole gang/mafia thing Şahin is investigating, but it wasn't bad as it's just the second episode. Ipek's banter with Şahin is really good and interesting, his banter with everyone is sometimes irritating and everyone's acceptance of Ipek is the perfect comedic space for Şahin to express his anger to makes us laugh. That other guy who is always with Doruk is one of my favorite characters, he is always telling something about his pregnant wife (it's sweet!). I like the comedy of the show, is refreshing because it's light and the drama is not melodramatic (what a relief!).

Then there's Nazlı and Ipek's friendship which I loved! Nazlı is one of those friends who appears to be not so good on the outside, but although she is really kind of a housewife with no good thoughts on her perspective, she cares deeply for her good friend Ipek and vice versa. Ipek's mother is a pain in the ass for sure, always criticizing Ipek for her actions without trying to respect what Ipek wants to do. The scene of Ipek's son disappearance was what I assigned for. I mean, Şahin came with all his temper saying "you obliged me to take you to your son's school" but really he was happy to know that she's a good mother. Then, when she called him because she needed his help to find her kid, he was all serious and focused to help (they're going to be REALLY good together!).

Was I happy for Ipek's ex-husband death? I don't know... I'm actually asking myself what will come next. Her husband was a total trashbag! The ones who make you throw away your best years, who make you doubt if you were really happy. But it looked like he was going to stay for some more episodes. I'll add too that when I think of the future romance between Ipek and Şahin, his death is a good welcome. Oh! And the way they shot the scene was really good, I didn't expect some third guy to show up and kill him before some more explanation (I'm really curious about the whole mafia/gang/organization thing!). I'm hoping too that they don't keep dragging the mystery about this organization for too long (my patience is precious and I'm sharing with other 5 dizis).

25 Ağustos 1981 yılında dünyaya gelen Seçkin Özdemir, özellikle dizi oyunculuğunun yanı sıra sunuculuk ve DJ’lik yapmaktadır. Fiziki görüntüsü ile dikkat çekmeyi başaran Seçkin Özdemir, bu özellikleri sayesinde pek çok dizi projesinin de aranan yüzlerinden birisi olmayı başardı. İlköğretim ve lise eğitimi boyunca İstanbul’da kalan ve burada eğitimini sürdüren başarılı oyuncu, daha sonrasında üniversite eğitimi alabilmek adına Kocaeli’ne gitti.

Burada Kocaeli Üniversitesi İktisat bölümünde okuyan oyuncu, daha sonrasında oyunculuk alanında kendini geliştirmek istedi ve Müjdat Gezen Sanat Merkezi’ne dahil oldu. Merkezde aldığı tiyatro eğitimi sayesinde bu alanda kendini gösterme fırsatı elde eden Seçkin Özdemir, özellikle 2008 yılında ilk kez bir projeye dahil oldu.

Yer aldığı projelerde özellikle karizmasıyla dikkat çekmeyi başaran Seçkin Özdemir, şu anda çok önemli projelerde dahi yer alabilecek seviyede. Muhteşem Yüzyıl gibi Türkiye’nin en önemli dizilerinden birisinde yer almayı başaran oyuncunun, yer aldığı diğer yapımlar şöyle oldu;
