Şahin: Did I hear it wrong? Did she say that she wanted to go inside?
There is some problematic guy that takes a woman hostage and İpek ofc wants to go inside and try to reason with him.
Meanwhile Şahin...
Şahin: Listen, I am your chief. Obey my orders. Go there and sit.
Two minutes later...
She starts speaking to the problematic guy through megaphone after Şahin leaves.
There is not a single day goes by where he isn’t caught off his guard because of her.
That chemistry.
The director needs to be a little calmer, I know it’s hard but if he continues doing this, nobody will survive. (I am kidding, I love how he never stops showing their true potential, like in every situation.)
That. Nonverbal. Communication. And the power her eyes hold. And her head tilt. And his giving in.
WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT????!!!
Oh my, they are already like this. Look at the chief-i-am-superior-man...he doesn't accept even his superior's orders when he finds them annoying. And now this...So..in the end there is someone for him as well that can make him surrender.
I love this dynamic so much.

They think alike while interrogating.
They complete each other's sentences.
He is impressed by her. But he would rather die than admit it.
He is gonna fall hard for her, isn't he?

She is amazing and this is just the first episode of the show.
I watched some of the new summer series but I couldn't finish even their first episodes. Almost all of them lack in something but this one is surprisingly interesting and fun to watch. The fragmans attracted my interest but still I had low expectations. However I ended up enjoying it so much. Her character just stole the show.
Cold-blooded, cute, intelligent psychologist female lead and hot-headed, stubborn, cynical chief inspector male lead.
Their chemistry is fine, they effortlessly act natural around each other. This is a good sign, they don't need those weird cheesy scenes, you can just feel what their future potential is.
But most importantly the story and its pace is very good. And as I said her character is so refreshing.
The formula this time is a little bit different from our usual Turkish tv summer series. Firstly the genre is crime drama and it's really a risky choice but the atmosphere is sooo light and the characters look very convincing. Second the female character is so composed, when she thinks the male lead is at fault, she doesn't bicker endlessly, or she doesn't try to prove herself. She is just self-confident and her intelligence is underlined in every possible way.
However I am not a fan of long beard, so it's a little bit painful for me to watch Seçkin with this style.
Also the romance elements are just there, waiting to be explored, but not in a cliche or forced way, when it happens, you feel it has to be that way.
There is not serious otp moments yet but the times that they start to get to know each other are so good to watch.
For example, this is one of my favorite scenes.
İpek: Are you aware of that you're showing the signs of narcissistic personality? You have no empathy. A person whose husband is charged by murder is standing before you. I am a mother who is desperately thinking what I should say to my ten-year old son. But you are standing there and mocking me. Worse, you are acting this way not as an ordinary person but using your professional identity. I don't know what you went through in this life but I know very well that there isn't enough apology for what you said just now.
He always saw her composure, self-confident self and was used to her sassing back to him, so he didn’t think that he could hurt her feelings.
He is taken aback, he realizes he crossed a red line. He is ashamed of himself so he ends up apologising her.
I hope the pace will continue like this. I am all for slow burn romance and like her character this way.

They use their professional abilities to notice each other's thinkings and feelings.
He says that he doesn't stand İpek but all his moves and thinkings tell a different story. He notices all little details about her.
He noticed her quick and strong steps even though he made it clear that she wouldn't come to the crime scene.
He noticed the traces İpek's heels left on the ground.
As for İpek, she is a good observer thanks to her profession, but she isn't interetested in other people around her as much as she is interested in Şahin. She really wants to understand him.
Şahin: What happened? You didn't say anything in the meeting. But now you are speaking again. İpek: I didn't say anything because I didn't want to weaken your authority, Chief Mr Yener was in the meeting, too. When your authority is shaken, you become more aggressive.
Well, he is impressed. *lol* She reads him like an open book.

Excuse me but...I think the director, too, has a wild imagination here.
They enjoy teasing us, people. Both the director and the fragmanmaker... two of them are in the same ship.
That little shadowy room they have to share makes it worse because you know...it can be so helpful for some particular things. I am not a shallow person but I may be in some cases, because I love using my imagination.
Don't judge me, I am just pointing out what they try to sell us. I am buying, all of them. Just a little bit quicker please.

Yay! I watched Baş Belası and it was so good! As a crime dizi Baş Belası is a very much good of a surprise. I remember I was so excited for the summer dizis of this year and when I heard that there was going to be a crime summer dizi I got disappointed. I don't usually like crime shows. All of my experiences with this kind of story were a let down at some point (Kara Para Aşk, İçerde and Arıza). The main problem of all of them was the stalling, how the main villain always manages to get away with the situation. After knowing that BB was a police dizi I immediately crossed it out from my summer dizis' list.
Until I watched the first teaser, and I was like OMG!!! At that moment the series reentered my list. I don't think Baş Belası will follow the same path of other police shows, at least from the looks of the first episode it doesn't look like it. Let me list the things I thought about it:
Our leads look great together. Şahin and İpek are a counterpoint of each other. She's all calm and organized while he's messy and rude. And I liked that! I think they'll be the trope of opposites attract, which I like when it is well written.
I loved Ipek. Everytime she walked I was like "she's so cute!". And I like the way she dresses too (except for that pair of boots), she's elegant and always well dressed, but never overdressed. And that's amazing coming from dizis. Moreover, I liked her overall personality. She's controlled and sometimes it seems like she doesn't care that much, but she does. And I love her ability of investigating things, I foresee that she will help to solve many crimes together with the team.
About Şahin, he is basically an ill-mannered guy. But he has a tragic past I think, maybe that's an explanation for that, idk. And he may be sick, why was he bleeding? This is promising to fill us with some drama, let's see what's gonna happen.
I liked Ipek's friend Nazlı. She's promising to be very funny. And the same goes for the police station scenes, with Şahin's dynamics with Ipek, and also that other police officer that Şahin is always a little bit too rude (gotta confess that I felt sorry for that boy sometimes). But in general, the whole episode was very much funny and delightful.
About the story, what I most like about this dizi is that each episode is dedicated to a different case which they'll have to investigate. I never watched a dizi that functions this way, but I'm thinking that maybe this could work wonderfully as it could prevent the series of stalling. And there's this indication of some mystery? Who was that man hiding at Ipek's house?! Gotta say I got scared at that part. But I liked that there's like a mafia organization to be fought. No no, actually it wasn't this plot that I liked (like I said before I don't like mafia shows), what I liked is that Ipek and Şahin are going to investigate TOGETHER this organization.
Another thing I liked is the music, the soundtrack is so good and they match with the series detective story.
Well, I think that was all. I'll keep up with this one to see where this is going. Hopefully, this dizi will keep surprising me positively.
