Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Chapter 294 Spoiler
Boy, if I had expected anything, but not this.
Narnia turns out to be Henry in disguise who is undercover. That's why he's been watching Iruma so closely. And he's apparently so good at his role that even Baal didn't notice, or did he, and he was just playing along ?
It seems to me that we've been focusing a lot on Narnia in the last few chapters, but Baal is also on this Deviculum and pursuing his plans. We haven't seen him since he arrived. Not to mention that his little helper is guaranteed to be here too, Kirio is obsessed with meeting Iruma again. And that in a place like the lost Lounge. A single, private place full of high-ranking demons, perfect for being sealed off with a barrier, and full of magical tool dolls.
Is it only me who finds this critical ?
But that's not all. Narnia is on this Deviculum, disguised as Fenrir. Fenrir, the wolf from Norse mythology. And the scales fell from the eyes, how could I have missed it? After all, Kalego's Cerberus is also a mythical canine.
Narnia takes a good noseful of Iruma, and Iruma seems to be uncomfortable with it, as I interpret the scene. But does Iruma only find it unpleasant, or does his sense of danger kick in ? In any case, Iruma has noticed something, because he asks Fenrir/Narnia if he has just done something, but Fenrir/Narnia dodges his question.
And when his sense have reacted, does he ignore it, simply because he trusts more in Ameri's word, who introduced Fenrir as an excellent SD ? Also i don't see any possibility that Narnia overlooked that Iruma is a human. Not with his sense of smell and as close as he was standing to Iruma.
(And boy, what's wrong with his neck/back ?)
I would also like to know if Fenrir really exists. Ameri spoke of him as if she knew him better. Is Fenrir real or just a role that Narnia often uses to go undercover ? And if Fenrir exists, where is he?
Nishi Sensei played me like a fiddle, I didn't expect that. I feel like we're sitting on a bomb that's about to go off, always keeping in mind that this Deviculum will later be known as "The 13th of Betrayal" and we're on the verge of chapter 300.
I don't know how others see it, but for me big round numbers in chapters mean big events. Not always, but quite often, and I'm excited to see what happens next.

tried to move the front wheel of the SDS Fenrir back a bit only to discover that it's not enough to just modify the skeleton and I'd also have to modify all the animations too which is a bit unfortunate
suppose it's another reason to try to look into that at some point
definitely could use a better workflow for modifying the skeletons however - preferably one that doesn't depend on old, hard to find HAVOK SDKs...

01 - Steer
Word Count: 1,887
Today’s Card: The Mascareri, Upright (Hiding your true self, projection—helpful)
((Spoilers for the PCT quests.))
What started out as a relaxing flight across the Ruby Sea quickly spiralled into nearly taking an explosion to the face. Thankfully, his reflexes and the sense of magic in front of him saved his life as he jerked the SDS Fenrir back at the last second. The Isle of Zekki was volcanic and therefore no stranger to explosions. Yet, the blast itself originated not from magma, but what it appeared to be: an opaque splash of colou which, to Joey’s eyes, appeared to be magic he had never seen before.
An explosion of magical… paint?
Regardless of the spell’s composition, an explosion usually meant trouble brewed nearby. Joey sailed down to see the cause of the commotion. His eyes scanned for bodies. Anyone hurt? None injured that he could see—but he also saw a mob of kojin swarming into one area with one tiny dot making a frantic break south. Joey had to hurry, otherwise there would definitely be one injured.
The moment SDS Fenrir’s tires touched the ground, Joey felt a deep gravitational pull from the vehicle and even through his feet, as though something weighed everything down. But before he could dwell on his current predicament, he heard a small thud behind him and a pair of small hands wrapping tightly around his waist from behind. That tiny dot from earlier. A lalafell?
“I’ll pay you any amount of gil. Just… p-please… get me out of here.” said the lalafell, her voice trembling as violently as her hands.
As she spoke, images flashed in Joey’s mind of a blonde lalafell wearing a large beret and clothes stained in paint tip-toeing into the Air of the Opulent. Her hand reached into the altar. Another image showed her clutching a picture frame while a third vision showed all manner of red kojin surrounding her. However, with that last image, Joey didn’t need to guess that said vision was recent, as creatures of red surrounded him and his newfound passenger on all sides. Their brandished weapons told the entire story that they were willing to use any means to get back what they considered theirs.
“You… you’re not going to sell me out to them are you…?” the lalafell asked softly. “It-it’s not what you think… it’s not what it looks like—”
“Don’t worry,” Joey said tersely, his eyes sizing up the surrounding area, “I don’t let my feelings get in the way of work.”
Surrounded by kojin? Not a problem. After all, attuning to all the aether currents enabled him to fly, just as Joey had been before he got here.
Except when he willed the SDS Fenrir to fly, the vehicle remained rooted to the ground. ‘What in Eorzea—?’
One of the kojin pointed his sword at Joey. “Get them!”
Like a unified unit, the sword-wielding kojin charged forth at blazing speed while the staff wielding ones shot forth orbs of water. Joey raised his hand to summon cubic-shaped shields around his person and his passenger.
‘At the very least, I can still use magic.’ Joey thought. ‘As to why I can’t fly in this area, did whatever the lalafell took have anything to do with this? No… no time to think of the whys. I have to think of what I can do now.’
Panhaima’s fifth, then fourth layer of shields shattered from the onslaught. Soon both would be left vulnerable.
He revved the engine. The moment the final barrier layer fell, he summoned the power of Rescue’s long chains through two open slots, aimed high one of the large spikes in the area. Rather than pull the spike to him, Rescue’s twin tethers acted like grappling hooks that pulled the motorcycle and everyone on it towards the destination. The lalafell squealed and clutched Joey’s torso even tighter as they sailed through the air.
The SDS Fenrir landed on the spike, but Joey couldn’t afford to stop moving lest he lost his momentum. Wind crashed against his face as the blur that was his vehicle sped upwards across the spike.
Despite their high velocity, the lalafell couldn’t help but peek a curious eye over Joey’s side. The moment she saw nothing but a thick wall, she squealed again. “H-Hey, mister! Are we collecting inheritance, because we’re directly in line… to a wall!”
Joey said nothing in response. Instead, he channeled the power of Rescue through his mount once more. Magical grappling hooks latched onto an area higher than the lalafell could see. Once the SDS Fenrir launched into the air with nothing below to ride on, the double Rescue chains yanked the duo into the air and flung them over the wall.
Thud. The motorcycle landed back on solid ground. Or, what seemed to be solid ground for now, as the lalafell’s quick glance showed they were speeding up yet another spike.
Except this time, nothing laid ahead of them. No ledges to grapple on, nor any sturdy ground to land upon. Only a pool of water laid at the bottom of their imminent graves.
Joey’s head perked up as though he had sensed something. The lalafell had looked up only to notice that much.
“You… you’re not t-taking us underwater, are you?” the lalafell asked.
Before Joey could answer, a being of great power emerged from the Ruby Seas itself—a being that Joey had sensed was coming ever since they had cleared the wall. Red tassels of hair billowed from the top of pure black armor.
“Rejoice, for it is time to have a good… time!” exclaimed the giant Susano in front of them.
“Time for trouble, you mean!” Joey clenched his teeth.
Indeed, Joey and SDS Fenrir’s combined size only didn’t even begin to reach the total height of Susano’s head. The Lord of the Revel raised his giant sword in midair, ready to cleave the island in half just to stop Joey in midair.
“Way to stop a fly,” Joey commented.
“If I do tha—no, if I do that, then we’re still here. We’d only be running away temporarily…” the lalafell mumbled, seemingly more to herself than anything.
“Regardless of what you’re gonna try, I have a plan. I only got one shot at this. Deep breaths.”
Joey pulled out his dual swords from his back and pointed them at Susano while maintaining a gap between the two blades. With magical seals locking many of abilities in place, he couldn’t currently fight with his swords all Viper style while in his present Sage state.
However, slicing and dicing wasn’t his current aim.
Charging unaspected energy in between the swords, both blades acting as a conduit of sorts, the aether build up in between the two blades. But Joey wasn’t ready to fire anything off just yet. He had to wait for the right time—the moment Susano began the downswing, but before the sword cleared the top of his head. In other words, the moment just before the sword aimed to the heavens and his hands became vulnerable.
With a cheerful roar, Susano’s body began the downswing.
‘Now!’
Joey fired off the buildup of aether from between the swords like a magical Pneuma-powered railgun. The beam of pure magical energy pierced through Susanoo’s hands.
A perfect hit.
Crying out in more surprise than pain, at the very least, the attack did as intend and the sword flew away from Susano’s hands. The giant blade crashed down towards the Ruby Sea like a final path that opened to the finish line.
“One more time! Rescue!” Joey cried, shooting forth his aether-based grappling hooks of rescue.
The chains latched onto the horns of Susano’s head. The wheels of SDS Fenrir collided onto Susano’s helmet, squealing in place for a good few seconds before the vehicle found its momentum and sped straight up and over the primal. The lalafell screamed once more as the SDS Fenrir vaulted into the air over Susano’s tassle hair and fell…
and fell…
and fell…
A loud splash accompanied the harsh thud of the motorcycle’s wheels, yet the lalafell saw felt no water fall upon her other than a few trickles.
They had landed atop of Susano’s sword, which floated perfectly atop the water. He had no idea how far this newfound path would take him, but if it went as far as the other end of the Ruby Sea, then Joey only had to move forwardfrom this point on.
***
The SDS Fenrir came to a halt once they reached the Ruby Price. The lalafell dismounted carefully. She looked around and back from the way they came as though still in disbelief at everything that had just happened. When she saw that no danger presented itself to her, she bowed to Joey.
“Thank you for your help. I don’t know what I’d do if you didn’t show up.”
Joey was about to speak when the lalafell reached into her satchel.
“Oh, yes. The payment.” The lalafell brandished the same picture frame as Joey had seen earlier in her thoughts. “ The artist was quite renowned—you can say that I knew him personally. Ah, I know it’s not gil, but it should sell for a hefty sum. If you don’t mind accepting this as payment, that is.”
“I don’t mind. Thank you,” said Joey and took the painting in his hands.
The canvas depicted the Air of the Opulent in vivid detail, depicting the area almost as if it was real. Yet, the colours and technique showed an air of magic, almost as if the painting itself emitted an energy field of its own.
“The kojin believed this painting to be theirs and smuggled it back to their home. And now it’s yours,” said the lalafell.
“Thank you. I’ll take good care of it,” said Joey.
The lalafell put her hands behind her back and glanced to the side. Clearly she had something more she wanted to say, but Joey waited until she finally spoke again. “You’re… not going to ask me what I’m doing here?”
“I was just doing my job,” said Joey in a more terse voice than usual.
“Well, it’s easier to travel through someone’s dreams when they’re vivid. Double so when a dreamer has a natural aptitude for magic. Perhaps you could partake in Pictomancy sometime.” said the lalafell. “Anyway, please forget about me. We may never meet again.”
***
Joey opened his eyes to find himself staring at the ceiling of his apartment. As soon as his mind allowed him to form coherent thoughts, he vowed not to burn incense before bed ever again.
Morning routine done and time to head to Fortune & Fancies for another day of work. On the way out, he noticed his jacket didn’t hang on the usual banister, but on something rectangular. Once he uncovered said object, he did a double take.
A picture frame. And not just any painting, but a picture of the Air of the Opulent.
Was that whole thing just a dream? Or was he just imagining things?
Whatever. He didn’t want to think of logistics now, especially while he was still waking up.
He went outside, boarded the SNS Fenrir, and headed out for the day.

Sebastian Astralyas, Dominant of Odin
So you're a Eikon who's not been seen for several decades...
A former resident of Sharlayan, a research trip to Eorzea saw the power of Odin awaken inside Sebastian. Trip cut short, Sebastian returned to his home--being told that he would find assistance to help master his condition. Instead, he was taken prisoner and locked away within Labyrinthos, where he would be used as a study experiment/test subject. The experience hardened Sebastian's heart, slowly instilling in him a cold need for revenge.
Years later, another Dominant would be thrown into the cell next to his--a young woman named Riven DeGlass. Her grief and anguish over her situation stirred something to life in Sebastian, and he did his best to offer support and comfort--up until the young woman was able to somehow make an escape. During the chaos, Sebastian performed his own jailbreak--and is currently working on tracking Riven down.
Sebastian is never far from his bike--a modified SDS Fenrir that can turn into Sleipnir when he Primes. When he semi-Primes, Sebastian's gunblade turns into Zanzensuken.

Prompt #17: Devoid (Free Day)
Nuria lie on the cool sand of the beach, staring up at the endless black of the night sky above him. He found himself drifting away in thought as he scanned the billions of stars freckling the abyss. Some clustered together, some isolated in the emptiness. Much like people, he thought, there were so many of them and yet some still looked so alone. Even in a crowd of infinity, one could still feel like zero.
He related, in a way. Despite the presence of friends, the comfort of loved ones, he often couldn't shake that same feeling of separation. As if no matter where he went or who he was with, he didn't deserve to be there. He was a needle that wandered into a haystack, and sometimes he felt he didn't fit among the straw. At times he even felt apart from himself. Who is "Nuria"? Does he have a reason to be here? How important is he really? Does he even serve a purpose? It was a dangerous line of thinking. He did his best to suffocate it again, bury it down deep where it couldn't resurface.
The gentle creep of the sea against his boots signaled that it was time to head home. Don't wanna get caught in the tide. Even if at times he felt tempted to let it sweep him away, erase him from this star and let it turn without him.
"Enough. You don't actually feel that way. "
Nuria scolded himself, burying the thoughts once more. He got to his feet and dusted the sand from his pants and black leather jacket, heading for his SDS Fenrir parked nearby. Climbing on, he fired up the ignition and felt the engine roar through his body. It was rejuvenating, grounding him back to reality. He took a last look at the coast then leaned forward and punched the gas, tearing off into the night.

AH HA.
It's Carta's flagship, as cited in the SD Cross Rays game.
Well blast. There goes my lovely idea that all the Seven Stars' ships are named after their heraldry. Hmm. And I'll need to update my fanfic references to 'Fenrir' now. Curses.
Although this page is going to come in really useful otherwise . . .
OK, does anyone know where Gundam Wiki got 'Vanadis' as a named Halfbeak class ship? I know it's another name for Freya, and thus makes total sense as a Gjallarhorn ship designation, but I can't for the life of me work out where this information comes from.
I thought it might Isurugi's ship at the start of Season 2, only it doesn't look like that one is ever named. And display screens just designate Halfbeaks using their ID numbers, or 'Fareed' in the case of the ship McGillis is using. From what I can tell, Sleipnir is the only Halfbeak to get an explicit introductory caption on-screen. So . . . yeah.
Anyone know?
(Suffice to say this bears no relation to G-Witch's Vanadis Institute, which is making searching difficult!)

🖊+ is there any sprout friendly lore you can share on Sebastian? I’d love to know more about him
Like the others, Sebastian has a soulstone and has done the job quests (in his case the storyline is a tad bit...different). He wields a Black Mage stone, though he was in some hot water taking it out of Old Sharlayan when he left.
He's also the only one of the group who actively uses the SDS Fenrir, salvaging it from a battle against the Empire in Stormblood. The Ironworks modified the fuel system to run off levin-crystals as well as ceruleum, which allows Sebastian greater range with the motorcycle. He's also gotten fairly proficient at using it in combat as well if it's needed.
He's also gotten extremely skilled in hacking and decrypting Allagan technology, and his level of mastery is on par with Riven's own. When Riven needs a tomestone cracked she generally will give it to Sebastian.
