I love Ian calling Mickey "baby" like so many of us. But I'm curious - when do you think Ian first called him "baby"?

oh my GOD. i love a petname. i am partial to a good "honey" but MAN baby just hits so well. it might have been around s5? but i ultimately don't think so. i think they were still in playful nickname territory. plus, mickey was only just starting to use ian's actual name asdfkjh (even though i enjoy the idea of them using it in 4x11/4x12, i think it would still be out of character at that point)

i am thinking in s7, it was all just their names. saying them to each other as much as possible and letting them hear it 🥺 i think they really needed that 😭 to really be seen by each other, ya know?

so........... prison? it's wild to think that so many of these things might have waited until they were in jail together after SO MANY YEARS. but despite how INTENSE the first 5 seasons were for them, that time really was fleeting. i think once ian knew they were there together with real time and on the same page FINALLY, he let it all out skjdfh so years of biting his tongue just burst right on outta that mouth 😆 so i think it was after the dust settled with their reunion in maybe a couple of ways:

“‘M sleeping,” he murmured. What? Did he think Ian was waking him up at 3am for a quickie?

“You took the blankets…again.”

“‘M cold.”

“I’m warm.”

“Okay.” Still half asleep, the two adjusted themselves so that Ian was under the covers with Mickey, spooning him close.

“I’m gonna get more blankets,” Ian whispered. Mickey was already snoring.

Ian's eyes opened as Fiona shook him awake. "Get ready, you're gonna be late!"

“Do we get to pick our partners?”

“No! I’ve learned my lesson and have already assigned partners. First up - Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich.”

Ian heard a barely concealed fucking hell behind him. He turned around to see the dark haired Milkovich. Blue eyes looked Ian up and down, stopping at his red hair.

2. Headache

Pain. Pain that Mickey was growing increasingly familiar with as he got older. He pulled his glasses off, rubbed his brow and closed his eyes to give him some sort of reprieve. 

“Another headache?” Ian asked. They sat at the small table in the kitchen, seeing no need to set the bigger table for dinner when it was just the two of them.

“Yeah, think I’m gonna crash early.”

Ian’s graying brow furrowed behind his own glasses.

“How about I call the doctor in the morning?”

“Ian-

“No different than you calling for me, baby.”

Mickey sighed but conceded, “Alright.”

Not gonna lie, this one was hard. So here we go, an AU where Ian finds out Mickey's gay not due to a tire iron...but at the club.

The club was ridiculous - lights, pounding beats, sweaty bodies grinding against each other. It was loud, gay, full of boisterous people that had Ian grinning as he soaked it in. 

“Hey, Gingersnap,” an older man said and Ian tried not to freeze. He came here to try and meet someone closer to his age, someone like him.

“Hey,” he answered anyways.

“The fuck you talkin’ to a kid for? Get the fuck outta here,” then there was a familiar voice and eyes, shocking Ian.

I guess a couple facts about me? I have a faint southern US accent that is thickest when really tired or when ordering food at the drive through (IDK why, it really surprised people when I was in upstate NY), as tired as I am from my work I love it so much - being of service to others is so important to me, aaaand I want to join Gallavich discord but I'm soooo nervous about it? Idk, anxiety and nerves rarely make sense. This has been such a lovely fandom though, and I am so grateful to have gotten all the kind and supportive comments.
