From Blooms to Bouquets: Advantages of Ordering Flowers Online in London
If you enjoy flowers and gifting them, you have probably experienced going from one florist to another looking for what you want. Finding variety, great deals, and stunning bouquets and other floral arrangements usually involves some legwork. However, in London, a city as vibrant as the flowers it offers, ordering bouquets online is exceptionally convenient.
Browsing through a wide variety of blooms and bouquets, customizing your order, getting great deals/discounts, having them delivered quickly from your home is all possible with just some clicks.
In this blog post, let’s explore the advantages of ordering flowers online in London.
Browse and order effectively
Online florists offer different flowers, arrangement, and customization options. By browsing their user-friendly websites, you can quickly go through these options. Also, there are various filters for price range, arrangements, flowers, and more, making it easier for you to find exactly what you want.
Additionally, unlike physical stores, websites can be accessed 24/7, allowing you to place your order whenever you have time. There is no need to hurry or deal with any florists or customers, while shopping from your home’s privacy.
Various customization options
Customizing your bouquet/floral arrangement is even easier online. Whether you want flowers in specific colours or bouquets with very specific flowers, you can quickly do so.
Furthermore, you can include personalized messages, vases, ceramic pots, or other containers to incorporate a personal touch. Many florists offer other add-ons such as chocolates and teddy bears, allowing you to make your bouquet extra special and unforgettable.
Fresh and fragrant
Unlike large corporations that import blooms and offer them at exorbitant prices, local florists who run their own small business source flowers locally and usually ethically. Hence, florists are able to provide fresh, fragrant, in season flowers at affordable prices.
Hence, if you prefer fresh blooms and supporting small local businesses, ordering from a highly rated local florist is your best bet.
Your best choice
The best online florist London residents opine is Brigitte Flowers because they offer the finest floral design Londonhas ever known. Their quality flowers and flower arrangements/bouquets are stunning and their user-friendly website makes ordering flowers delightfully hassle free. Moreover, their delivery service is quick, reliable, and offered all across London.
Conclusion
Time constraints and wanting the best options/deals compelled people to order flowers online. However, people have realized that ordering online is simple, quick, customizable, and convenient, allowing them to find the best blooms and bouquets all year round and for every occasion. We highly recommend ordering flowers online to reap these benefits.

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Perfect Flower Delivery Service
Flowers are a timeless and beautiful gift for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or simply want to brighten someone's day, sending flowers is a gesture that is sure to bring joy. However, with so many flower delivery services available, it can be overwhelming to choose the perfect one. In this guide, we will walk you through the key factors to consider when selecting a flower delivery service for different occasions.
1. Reputation and Reviews:
Before selecting a flower delivery in London, it's essential to research their reputation and read reviews from previous customers. Look for services with a solid track record of delivering fresh, high-quality flowers on time. Online platforms, such as Trustpilot or Yelp, can provide valuable insights into the experiences of other customers. Pay attention to both positive and negative reviews to get a balanced understanding of the service's strengths and weaknesses.
2. Range of Flower Selection:
Every occasion has its own unique style and theme, so it's important to choose a flower delivery service that offers a wide range of floral flowers arrangements to suit different tastes and preferences. Whether you're looking for classic roses, exotic orchids, or vibrant mixed bouquets, ensure that the service has a diverse selection of flowers and arrangements to choose from. This will allow you to find the perfect flowers that convey the right message for any occasion.
3. Customization Options:
Sometimes, you may want to add a personal touch to your flower arrangement. Look for a flower delivery service that offers customization options, such as adding a personalized message, selecting specific flowers or colors, or including additional items like chocolates or stuffed animals. The ability to personalize your gift can make it even more meaningful and memorable for the recipient.
4. Delivery Options:
Consider the delivery options provided by the flower delivery service. Are they able to deliver on the specific date and time you desire? Do they offer same-day or next-day delivery? Ensure that the service can accommodate your delivery requirements, especially for time-sensitive occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. Additionally, check if they provide tracking information so that you can monitor the progress of your delivery.
5. Pricing and Value:
Compare the pricing of different flowers in London delivery services to ensure you're getting the best value for your money. Keep in mind that the cost of flowers may vary depending on the type, size, and arrangement. Look for services that offer competitive prices without compromising on the quality of the flowers. Some services may also offer discounts or promotional deals, so it's worth checking for any ongoing offers before making your decision.
6. Delivery Areas:
Check if the flower delivery service operates in the desired delivery location. While many services offer nationwide or even international delivery, some may have specific coverage areas. Make sure they can deliver to your intended recipient's location to avoid any disappointments or delays.
7. Customer Service:
Good customer service is crucial when choosing a flower delivery service. Look for services that are responsive, friendly, and willing to assist you with any queries or concerns. A reliable customer service team can provide guidance, help you track your order, and resolve any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
8. Additional Services:
Consider whether the flower delivery service offers any additional services that can enhance your gift-giving experience. Some services may provide complementary vases, flower care instructions, or even a guarantee of freshness and satisfaction. These extra features can make a significant difference in the overall quality and presentation of your gift.
In conclusion, choosing the perfect flower delivery service involves considering factors such as reputation, range of flower selection, customization options, delivery options, pricing and value, delivery areas, customer service, and additional services such as wedding bouquets London, best office flowers, fresh wedding flowers online. By carefully evaluating these aspects, you can find a reliable and trustworthy flower delivery service that will help you make any occasion special with beautiful and fresh flowers. So, take your time, do your research, and make an informed decision to ensure that your flower delivery experience is a delightful one.

I like to imagine that the supernatural community in London are all just collegively waiting for Panyeland to get married.
Like they're all completely convinced those two boys are dating but because of time period prejudice don't say anything. But everyone is just waiting fir when they announce their engagement.
The witch who owns a flower shop keeps sunflowers, red roses and forget me nots on standby ready to make bouquets at any second.
The ghost costume designer has designs upon designs of their wedding outfits at the ready for then too look over and chose to form in to. (Taking age and period times into account)
The immortal bookshop owner has paper ready for invitations, because the entire supernatural community has been waiting for this.
The seer portrait artist always keeps a few days of each season open as those boys never match with her visions and she wants them to have an image of their wedding day.
The Night Nurse is also completely absorbed in this as well, prepared for when she must give in some solved cases late so they can have a good amount of time for the wedding and honeymoon.
It's somehow a complete shock to Charles and Edwin when they do eventually get married that so many people turned up. All people they knew on the basic surface level but all care for them and want them happy. To know there's people who care about them in their afterlives. It's wild.
#dead boy detectives#edwin payne#charles rowland#payneland#dbda#dead boy detective agency#their wedding would be big with a very small reception for their closest friends#and the entire community would be okay with that#they were just so excited it finally happened#of course these boys are datinf#have u seen them

Are TZ Married?
I spot a yellow-diamond ring (at least five carats, maybe six), from Bulgari. “This is my splurge, my treat-myself,” she smiles. “I do get a little employee discount,” she laughs shyly. “It feels like it’s gonna be an heirloom, like one day I can give it to my grandchildren.” -- Zendaya for British Vogue, October 2021 (Interview conducted on July 1, 2021).
According to a Bulgari representative, Z's yellow diamond ring is an "engagement ring."
Rewind to November 2017 when Z posted this to her Snapchat account:
Then she immediately followed up with this Snapchat post:
Z's fondness for yellow diamond engagement rings obviously predates 2021. So did she or didn't she buy the Bulgari yellow diamond engagement ring for herself? That is the question. After reading the following statement in her interview in the October 2021 issue of British Vogue, I have serious doubts.
In February 2021, when asked during an interview if Tom would settle down now, he said he would do. x Five months later, on July 2, 2021, Page Six confirmed Tom and Zendaya were a couple.
But Z preferred to keep her dating status private during her interview on July 1, 2021 with British Vogue -- the same day the paparazzi photographed them kissing:
...dating her IRL is, she insists, a tall order. The list of approvals is long – “my dad, my brothers, it’s a whole thing. Good luck to whoever wants to take that on,” she scoffs. Perhaps her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland, who has long been rumoured to be her boyfriend, is up to the task? After all, the following day (July 2, 2021), photos appear of the pair kissing in a car after our lunch (on July 1, 2021)."
August 2021
TZ attended their friends' wedding in August 2021. While at the wedding reception, Z did not participate in the traditional bridal bouquet toss. She watched the toss from their nearby table and then shared a kiss with Tom after the bouquet was caught. x
On September 1, 2021, TZ finally acknowledged they are a couple via Tom's Instagram post.
In November 2021, Tom told GQ that he and Z will talk about their story and what it is when they're ready.
"This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”
In June 2023, during an interview with BuzzFeed, Tom said, "I'm locked up, so I'm happy and in love..." x
In July 2023, during a podcast with Jay Shetty, Tom stated, "My relationship is the thing I keep most sacred. I don't talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible. We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way for us to move on as a couple." x
September 2023
Miss Nicaragua allegedly shared during a live that she had met TZ in Oakland and that she hopes Zendaya's marriage goes well (post blogged on September 18, 2023). Note: TZ were in Oakland August 25-26, 2023.
Three days later, on September 21, 2023, Darnell went live on Instagram to adamantly deny Zendaya is engaged.
If she's not engaged, is she married? 🤫
October 2023
Law and Darnell were on the bridal floor in Vera Wang's store in Beverly Hills on October 13, 2023. I believe it's safe to assume Z was there as well.
February 2024
During a BBC Radio 2 interview, Z stated that British people are her family now.
April 2024
In a Vogue article dated April 9, 2024, Z described her perfect future which includes a protected life with her family.
Speaking of a protected family life, TZ recently adopted a dog named Daphne from Protection Dogs Worldwide.
And speaking of dogs, Z left her beloved Noon with Tom in London while she went to California. Tom even took Noon to work at the Duke of York's Theatre several times while Z was far from home (pun intended) for a couple weeks during the months of June and July 2024.
Note: Tom recently posted Noon, along with Daphne, on his Instagram account. x
October 2024
In October 2024, Tom launched his non-alcoholic beer, BERO. One of the three BERO brews, Noon Wheat, is named after "Tom and Zendaya's dog, Noon" and the "cofounder's (Tom) dog, Noon". So Noon is no longer just Z's dog. Noon is TZ's dog. Noon is Tom's dog, too. Noon is their dog.
Tom considers himself Noon's dad. Both Tom and BERO posted for Noon's birthday calling him "My birthday boy" and "Tom's furry child," respectively.
November 2024
Noon is called one of "the most loved members of the Holland family..." on The Brothers Trust Instagram post.
April 2024
An Atlanta paparazzi posted this to his Instagram account and then deleted it.
And then he posted and deleted this the following week:
February & April 2024
Dom Holland attended Z's London premieres for both Dune 2 (February) and Challengers (April). Is this considered father-in-law behavior?
May 2024
According to Ashley Perez, her notary instructor "insinuated" TZ may have gotten a confidential (non-public) marriage license.
Note: Ashley attends a college near the Bay Area.
California Confidential Marriage License Requirements:
The participating parties must be at least 18 years old to apply for a confidential marriage license. ✅
There are no CA state or US residency requirements. ✅
The couple must state to the notary or county clerk office that they have been living together, as husband and wife or partners ✅ - not as roommates - at the time they apply for the marriage license, and must sign an affidavit on the license attesting to living together. There is no time requirement as to how long the couple has lived together.
You are not required to get married in the county where you purchase the confidential marriage license; however, you must be married in California. You must file the license in the county where it was purchased.
No witnesses are required to be at the ceremony, AND no witnesses sign on the marriage license.
The marriage license is a confidential record and is registered at the County Clerk’s Office in the county where it was purchased. A notary public with special authorization may issue, sign, and file a confidential marriage license.
Secret, Civil, Private, and Traditional Weddings
It's not uncommon to have a civil wedding ceremony and then have a traditional or destination wedding at a later date. Celebrities Joey King, JLo, and Elizabeth Olsen have done it. Anya Taylor-Joy originally eloped in New Orleans in 2022 and then had a wedding in Italy the following year. Millie Bobby Brown had a private family wedding in May of this year and is in the process of planning a second wedding for family and friends. Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse recently had a secret wedding ceremony. Beyoncé, Kerry Washington, and Margot Robbie had secret weddings as well. Did TZ have a civil/secret/private wedding ceremony and are they planning a traditional/second wedding in the future? If so, it wouldn't be the first time they've kept their relationship status a secret.

LABOR OMNIA VINCIT
A blurb
I did this quickly for funsies
Ignore any incoherence x
[…]
New York.
You don’t have many things to say about New York, hardly remembering the memories you have here — as per the nature of such memories — and almost glad you don’t.
It’s not the cleanest of cities and is far worse than the sentimental streets of London (gritty as they may be), and it is a thief. A big, bad villain. Stupid city.
Elena goes to Juilliard.
It’s too far from her home, which she says she likes. Being far from home and enjoying it is a strange concept to you and Alexia. She is alone and unaware of the dangers that lie outside the poky flat she insists on ‘roughing it’ in. The thought of gentle, sweet Elena — who is late to realise that her mothers will always know best — taking on something so far away with only a year of adulthood under her belt makes you nauseous.
You swallow your distaste for the city and bring home to her.
Alexia is pointedly checking her watch when you waltz into the recital hall. There’s an empty seat beside her, which she had saved on instinct (you were never going to be on time), and a bouquet of flowers at her feet. She looks nicer than usual, which you tell her.
“Stylist,” she says, uninterested in the compliment. Her eyes are shameless as they rake over your neatly clasped hands. “Where is your bracelet?”
“I left it with my other family.”
She frowns.
“It’s in my suitcase. I thought I’d keep it safe in case Elena takes us clubbing tonight.”
“We have flights in the morning.” It’s a kind way of stamping on your attempt to stay relevant. Your fans now claim to have been ‘born in the wrong era’.
“I’m on a charter,” you tell her smugly, adjusting your hands so that they fall at yours sides, one landing further than the other. Thighs still muscular despite her retirement, they tense under the light brush of your fingers.
A round of applause echoes as the audience prepare themselves to judge a young girl with known talent coarsing through her veins.
Your family attracts clapping — craves it, probably. Nico has just won another trophy for his team, continuously proving himself as the best football coach in the world. (A world in which Alexia Putellas does not exist, claims Alexia Putellas.)
Elena is focused as she walks onto the stage.
Alexia’s hand finds yours, grasping it tightly. The band of her wedding ring digs into your fingers.
You smile at the thought, amused.

Rewinding Us | 3
Pairing: Mason Mount x Reader
Summary: You and Mason built a love story over five years, but after an accident, your memories are wiped away, including any feelings for your constant bickering "rival". Can you remember your love story with Mason, or will you have to start all over?
Word count: 3826
You can read more chapters here.
I slip and wonder who I'd be If I never found you and you never found me Well, I don't wanna see
The hospital waiting room was a clean expanse of white, the walls gleaming as if freshly painted. Mason sat on the edge of a blue chair, his leg bouncing nervously. A heavy silence pressed down on him, broken only by the soft voices of nurses and a few others just like him, waiting for their loved ones.
He was alone. The others were already on the plane, on their way home. Charlotte had promised to catch the next flight out as soon as she landed in London, but until then, he was alone and in fear.
His mind raced back to the villa. He ran after you, but you'd always been surprisingly fast, a burst of unexpected energy that often caught him off guard. He remembered the times when you would run away from him, with laughter echoing through the house, often triggered by a harmless joke or the sudden appearance of an unwelcome spider.
The car had appeared out of nowhere. It was as if the world had slowed down. He remembered the shock that froze him in place, the desperate shout that tore from his throat.
Now, alone in the white room, the weight of everything pressed down on him. He should have been faster. He should have protected you.
A voice cut through the room, bringing him back to the present. “Family of Miss Y/l/n?” The doctor, a man with tired eyes, stood in the doorway.
Mason jumped to his feet, his voice hoarse. “How is she? Is she okay?”
The doctor adjusted his glasses. “Miss Y/l/n has sustained multiple injuries, primarily to her leg and arm. She’s currently in surgery to stabilize her condition.”
Relief washed over Mason. “Will she be okay?” His voice trembled slightly.
The doctor nodded. “We’re optimistic about her recovery. The injuries are serious, but she’s young and strong.”
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "Ahm-- Not long ago, she was involved in a car accident. A drunk driver hit her car and she lost her memory. Can this…?"
"We’ve conducted tests, and thankfully, this accident hasn’t caused any further brain damage.” Mason's heart pounded in his chest. A wave of gratitude washed over Mason. The doctor continued: “We’ll keep you updated on her condition. Someone will inform you as soon as she’s out of surgery.”
Mason nodded and managed a weak smile. “Thank you!”
It was a sunny afternoon, and the air was thick with the sweet scent of jasmine. You and Mason were attending a friend's wedding, and the sound of laughter and clinking glasses filled the air.
You never used to care about catching the bridal bouquet, but your friends teased you and something sparked inside you. With a burst of unexpected agility, you managed to catch the delicate bouquet of flowers. Cheers erupted from the crowd, but your eyes locked onto Mason's, his expression a mix of amusement as his friends made fun of him.
"Well, well, well!" His friend Toby teased him. "Looks like someone's future is looking bright."
Mason grinned, taking a sip of his champagne. You walked through him, the bouquet clutched triumphantly in your hands, a smirk playing on your lips.
"I think I need a ring on my finger, Mount!" You teased, leaning in to kiss his lips.
A mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. "About that…" he began, his voice trailing off as he reached into his pocket. Your heart pounded in anticipation. "I haven't picked out the perfect one yet." He pulled his hand and it was… empty. "But I promise, it's coming."
Relief washed over you, mixed with a touch of disappointment. You hit his chest playfully. "Don't tease me like that, you idiot!"
He laughed, wrapping an arm around your waist. "I couldn't resist." He said, his voice soft. "But seriously, I can't wait to make you my wife." He pecked. A blush crept up your cheeks. You'd talked about marriage before, but hearing him say it so openly, with such conviction, made your heart flutter. You leaned into his embrace, feeling safe and loved.
"Don't say that to our moms," you teased, burying your face in his neck to hide your blush. "They'll probably start organizing the wedding the next day."
He chuckled, tightening his arm around you. "Who do you think is helping me find the ring?" He murmured, his breath warm against your skin.
You pulled back to look at him, a playful glare in your eyes. "Stop it. You're trying to embarrass me."
"I'm always trying to embarrass you," he replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes. You playfully punched his arm, but couldn't hide the smile that spread across your face. "I can't wait to marry you."
Your eyes felt heavy, refusing to open against the bright light. Your body was a battlefield of pain, and every muscle hurt. A desperate need to call out, to reach for someone, filled you, but your throat was parched.
With a huge effort, you forced your eyelids open. The room was a blur of white, the silence broken only by the steady beep of a machine. Fear and cold ran through your consciousness. You wanted to sleep, to escape the pain and confusion, but a primal instinct to survive kept you tethered to the waking world.
Your eyelids grew heavy once more. With a resigned sigh, you surrendered to sleep, hoping to find peace in the silent depths of your unconsciousness.
"The guy wasn't being friendly with you. He wanted to get in your pants." Mason said, standing before you and Declan.
You were shaking, not from the cold but from anger. Declan sensed it and placed a comforting hand on your back.
"Mase, come on!" Declan said, giving him a warning look.
Mason ran a hand through his hair. "It's true. The guy had his hands practically inside her dress."
That was it. You stood up, your voice trembling. "And what does that matter to you? You're not my boyfriend, we're not even friends, so stop pretending and don't interfere in my life."
Declan gently pulled you away from his best friend. "We're just worried about you! The guy didn't look friendly and the bruise on your wrist confirms that."
You rolled your eyes. "I had everything under control until Mount decided to step in and ruin everything."
Mason let out a frustrated sigh. "I saved you!"
"I don't need you to save me." You retorted.
"Good!" Mason shouted, with his hands in the air. "I don't intend to do it again."
You slowly opened your eyes, and as your vision adjusted, you gazed through the window on your left, realizing it was dark outside. You could hear the soft murmur of voices from the hallway, however, what truly caught you off guard was the fact that you were no longer alone.
Mason was sound asleep in the cosy armchair beside your bed. His hand was propped against his head, holding it up, while his unkempt hair suggested that he had been running his hands through it too many times.
You took another sweeping glance around the room and spotted a plastic cup filled with water. Carefully, you reached out, stretching your arm to grasp it. As your fingers nearly touched the cup, it slipped and tumbled to the ground.
The noise woke Mason up from his nap, and his heart instantly started beating faster, afraid that something had happened. But when he saw that you were awake, he let out a sigh of relief. He stood up and approached your bed.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" You tried to speak, but your throat was too dry for the words to come out. Mason realised and picked up the cup from the floor, throwing it in the trash. "I'll get you another cup. I'll be right back."
He quickly exited the room, only to return a few minutes later with a cup of water in his hand and a doctor right behind him.
"Miss Y/l/n, good to see you awake." The doctor began, his voice laced with professional concern. "How are you feeling? Any pain?” With your throat dry, still no words seemed to want to escape.
Mason stepped in to help when he saw your silent plea. “Here!” He said softly, pressing the cup into your hands. With weak hands, you brought it to your lips and took small sips of the cool water.
After a brief but intense check-up by the doctor, you were left alone with Mason.
Being alone with Mason felt weird. A depth of unspoken words and unanswered questions hung heavy in the air. If only you hadn't run from him, from that kiss, you wouldn't be in the hospital. But it had all been too much.
Mason pulled the armchair closer and sat down. His hand found yours, and a gentle squeeze was all the comfort you needed. "The others landed in London, but Charlotte's already on her way back!" He said, his voice low. You nodded, taking another sip of water. His eyes held worry. "Are you really okay? Do you need anything?"
You shook your head. “I’m fine." You whispered. The moment your gazes met, the weight of his worry seemed to lift. Your eyes drifted to your intertwined hands, his long fingers tracing gentle patterns on your palm. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
His eyes held yours. No more words were needed. “How could I?” He began. "You had no memory of us! Saw me as nothing more than the guy you despised." His gaze fell to the floor. “I thought maybe you’d be better off without me, without the chaos of my life. You never complained, but I could see the stress it had on you. Dealing with the media, the fans—it’s a heavy burden. I wanted to give you a chance at a normal life.”
You looked up at the ceiling, your voice rising slightly. “That was not your choice to make!”
"I know." He whispered, his voice barely audible. "I just wanted to protect you."
A heavy silence settled between you. You squeezed his hand back. "I appreciate it. Believe me, I do." You said softly. "But If I didn't like the life we had I would have told you."
Mason emerged from the kitchen, a saviour with a pizza box in one hand and a mischievous sparkle in his eye. "Pizza break?" He offered, his voice filled with amusement.
"What about your diet?"
Mason shrugged. "I will put in more effort during the next training session." You collapsed onto the sofa, relief washing over you. As you devoured your slice, the cheesy goodness melting in your mouth, Mason leaned in, brushing a stray piece of cheese from your lip with his thumb.
"I can't believe we're actually doing this!" He said, his voice soft.. You looked up at him, your heart full. The house, once empty, was slowly transforming into a home.
"Me neither." You replied, your voice filled with happiness. "It feels surreal."
Mason smiled. "Surreal in a good way, right?"
You nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely!" You took another bite of pizza, savouring the moment. As you finished the last slice, Mason stretched out beside you, his arm draped casually over your shoulder. "I can't wait to make more memories here." You said, your voice filled with joy.
Mason turned his head and looked at you, his eyes soft with affection. Slowly, he leaned in, his breath warm against your lips. You closed your eyes as his lips met yours, a gentle and sweet kiss.
Charlotte entered the room, her eyes red and swollen. Mason followed close behind. You were lost in a drugged sleep, oblivious to the storm of emotions in your best friend.
She sank into the chair beside your bed, her hand immediately reaching out to caress your hair. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered, "Oh my God, why does this always happen to her?" She leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "First the drunk driver, and now this!"
Mason leaned against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. "It's been a rough year, that's for sure!" He muttered, his voice barely audible.
Charlotte's gaze snapped to him. Her eyes, filled with concern, held him captive. "Are you okay?"
He offered a weak smile. "I'm fine. Just worried about her."
She knew him too well. "Don't lie to me, Mason." She said softly. "I can see right through you."
He sighed, his shoulders slumping. "It's been a hell of…" He admitted, his voice raw. "What time is it, anyway?"
Charlotte stepped closer, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "She's going to be okay, Mason. We'll wrap her in bubble wrap and keep her safe." A small smile tugged at her lips as she tried to lighten the mood.
Mason chuckled. He pulled her into a tight hug, kissing the top of her head. "I guess we have no choice!"
.
You finally returned to London after spending four days in the hospital. You flew back with Mason and Charlotte, and because your parents were worried about you, you spent the weekend with them.
"Are you going to fly back, or will you catch a ride with Mason?" Your Mom asked you.
Thinking it through, everything was clear now. Living in Manchester, having a big house you couldn't afford with your salary, the lifestyle, the constant attention from people on the street - it was all Mason's.
"Um, Mason said I could go with him." You replied your voice barely a whisper.
Your mom's face lit up with a delighted and conspiratorial grin. Since you told her what happened at the villa, she'd been on an overdrive of matchmaking, talking about how happy she was and about what a good couple you used to be.
"That means you're re-" She began, her voice dripping with excitement.
You cut her off, burying your face in your Dad's shoulder. "That doesn't mean anything!" You protested. Your Dad slyly winked at your Mom across the sofa. "It's just easier and cheaper to go with him. so stop organising our wedding in that little head of yours."
Your Mom's lips curved into a knowing smile. "That's already planned!" She muttered under her breath.
You raised an eyebrow and looked at her. "Did you say something?"
She shook her head, a playful glint in her eye. "Me? No, not at all. Just focus on the show."
Monday morning had the sky in soft hues of pink and gold as Mason pulled up to your parents' house. The familiar sight of the old brick house brought him a wave of nostalgia. He stepped out of the car, a gentle breeze carrying the sweet scent of the morning.
Your mom was waiting for him at the door, her face lightened with a warm smile. "It's so good to see you, Mason!" She exclaimed, pulling him into a hug.
"It's great to see you too." He replied, returning the embrace. Their relationship had always been easy, even during the wild times of your on-and-off hating relationship. "It's good to be back."
Your mom led him inside, the house filled with the comforting aroma of coffee. In the kitchen, your dad was holding his special mug, the one you had made him when you were a kid. "I see some things never change." Mason commented, a smile playing on his lips.
Your dad looked up, his face breaking into a wide grin. "Mason!" He exclaimed, standing up to offer a hearty handshake. "Welcome back, boy."
"Did you have breakfast, Mason?" Your mom asked him.
"Yes, thanks!" He replied, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of you. It wasn't surprising when your mom told him that you were still in bed. You'd always been a non-moring person.
"Why don't you go wake her up?" Your mom suggested.
Mason's heart skipped a beat. "Me?" He stuttered, blushing. "I-I don't think that's a good idea."
Your mom chuckled. "Oh, come on! You've got to win her back, don't you?" She teased. With a gentle push, she directed him towards your room. "Go on, then. Start by waking her up."
"But that's a terrible first step!" He muttered.
Mason hesitated, his mind and heart racing. He knew the best way to wake you up was with soft kisses, but that seemed like a recipe for disaster at this early hour and he would surely get slapped.
The door was slightly open and the sunlight streamed through it. Mason's hand hovered over the handle, his heart pounding in his chest. Before he could knock, the door swung open, revealing you, already dressed and with the luggage in hand.
Surprise flickered across your face. "Mason? What are you doing here?"
He took a moment to drink in your appearance. He didn't know how, but every day you became more breathtaking. "Uh, your mom asked me to wake you up." He stammered, his voice catching in his throat. "But I see you're already awake."
You quickly shut the bedroom door, avoiding his gaze. "Yeah, I had… a nightmare." You explained, clearing your throat. The way you averted your eyes told him the nightmare was about him, but he chose to stay silent, afraid it would cause an argument.
"Let me help you with your suitcase." He offered, trying to change the subject.
"I don't ne--" You hesitated, torn between your pride and being grateful for his help. Finally, you gave in. "Thanks!" You mumbled, handing him the suitcase.
After having breakfast, you and Mason left for a four-hour drive back to Manchester. With the open road stretching before you, the quiet was overwhelming. Your heart was racing. What were you supposed to do for four hours trapped in a car with Mason, alone?
The radio was on and its soft hum filled the car. Traffic was surprisingly light for a Monday. Your eyes wandered around the spacious interior of the car. It was very clean but there were two Starbucks cups, that he had brought. One for you and one for him. A business card from a car dealership, house keys, and a pair of earrings.
Mason must have noticed your curious gaze. "You left those here last time you drove it." He explained.
"I drove this?" You asked him, astonishment filling your tone. The image of yourself behind the wheel of the gigantic car was absurd.
Mason chuckled. "A few times, actually." You stared at him, disbelief written all over my face. "Why so surprised?"
You tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks. "I don't imagine myself driving a car like this." You confessed.
"Well, you weren't exactly a natural." He teased. "But hey, we all start somewhere."
Your mouth opened, pretending you were offended. "I'm an amazing driver, Mount!" Mason laughed and you couldn't help but smile. "I just… I like my mini Cooper."
"I know, I know."
An unexpected calm settled over the car. It was a surprisingly comfortable silence. Lost in the calm of the road and the melody of the radio, you found yourself enjoying the ride.
But the desire to break the silence surprised you. Five years was a long time, and curiosity was killing you. I wanted to know what his life had been like, to understand what kind of relationship we had.
"How's Manchester United treating you?" You asked, breaking the silence.
Mason glanced at you, his expression a mix of surprise and curiosity. He'd clearly been lost in his own thoughts, and your question seemed to jolt him back to reality.
"Oh, yeah, it's been amazing." He replied, a genuine smile spreading across his face. "They've welcomed me with open arms. It feels like a family." His eyes held a warmth that was unfamiliar yet comforting. "It was a big change, but everything fell into place. I'm very happy."
You nodded, your heart pounding. It was now or never. "And… I went with you?"
He placed his hand on his leg, resisting the urge to place it on yours, a habit of his. "Yeah." He said, his voice low. "You asked for a transfer and moved with me. Didn't even hesitate."
"So the house where I've been living is ours?" You asked. Mason nodded, his expression serious. "And where have you been living?" A wave of questions formed in your mind, each one more pressing than the last.
"I rented a place." Mason replied. "Luke and Anouska have two houses for rent, and one was empty."
"Oh." You murmured, still processing the information. "Sorry about that."
"Don't apologize." he said quickly. "I chose not to tell you the truth, so it's my fault." A comfortable silence settled between you as Mason seemed to be waiting for you to continue. "We have a long drive ahead. Ask me whatever you want."
"Good, because I have a lot of questions." You admitted.
He chuckled. "Bring it on."
"How long have we been together?"
"Five years."
"Who made the first move?"
"You did!" His answer was quick.
You raised an eyebrow. "Don't lie to me, Mount! I remember the first kiss. The prank. I confronted you about it."
Mason burst out laughing, his laughter infectious. "Oh, shit, yeah!" He admitted between chuckles. "I forgot about that."
This felt right, natural. "Okay, so… how did you know you didn't hate me anymore?"
"I never hated you--" He began.
"You know what I mean."
Mason hesitated, his eyes darting away from you. "I think… I think I always had a crush on you." He finally managed to say. Your heart pounded in your chest as you tried to process his words. "When we first met, I thought you were the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. But you were with that guy, and… I didn't know how to approach you, so I acted like a jerk." You swallowed hard, trying to comprehend the man sitting beside you. "The prank… when they made me kiss you, something clicked. It wasn't just a crush anymore." You hadn't realised, but he had pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the car. His hand found yours, and his gentle touch sent shivers down your spine. "After that, I knew I had to make you fall for me. I couldn't let you slip away. I couldn't waste any more time when I had the love of my life right in front of me."
His eyes held a vulnerability you'd never seen before. Your heart was pounding so hard you thought it might burst. His gaze locked onto yours. Slowly, he leaned in, his breath warm against your lips.
For a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Then, his lips met yours in a soft, tender kiss. As your lips moved together, a wave of emotions washed over you. Love, hope, and a sense of coming home all at once.

Love At First Sight (2023)
Okay, we’re going to talk about the new Netflix romance directed by Vanessa Caswill, Love At First Sight, because I’m seeing almost no chatter about it and that cannot stand. Full disclosure, I’ve never read the book on which this movie is based, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, so I’m reacting only to the film (which I’ve now seen 4.5 times in 2 days).
The Surface Reading
It’s a perfect, tight, adorable little RomCom that’s heavy on the Rom and light on the Com, with a wrenching dash of angst and the most hair-twirling chemistry between two leads that has graced our screens in years. Truly, if all you want is 90 minutes of two actors being saccharine precious cinnamon rolls, look no further!
There are simple takeaways here, like that chance can only take you so far, but in the end you have to choose to love. Or that change and loss are part of life and you can’t run from them. Or that London is a massive labyrinth of eccentric people that probably looks 400% cooler onscreen than it is in reality (I wouldn’t know, I’ve never visited, so this and the 90s Parent Trap are the extent of my knowledge about the city, sorry).
Anyway, I adored how straightforward the story was - that the narrator (played brilliantly by Jameela Jamil) tells you directly in the first two minutes that it’s a story about love, fate, and statistics. She then repeatedly describes every development as it is happening, the characters’ histories and internal monologues, and all the context you need to follow the thin but fast-paced plot. The writing, performances, and production design are all solid, allowing the audience to get lost in the romance as it unfolds.
BUT if you’re slightly unhinged like I am and you’re always looking for more layers in your media, HAVE NO FEAR! There is in fact more going on in this little movie than you might expect.
Color Theory
For starters, the use of red and green in the film is fascinating. Yes, I realize the action of the story takes place a few days before Christmas, so you might assume it was just a seasonal aesthetic choice, but if you look closer, you can see very carefully selected shades of red and green repeating throughout the film. The red is a cool, deep rose color, sometimes pink, while the green is cool and dark, like oxidized bronze rather than emerald. Further, while they appear over and over, these hues are rarely used in a purely decorative or festive way. Instead, they play a role in the separation and coming together of the couple. On a color wheel, red and green are complements, perfect opposites that are never adjacent but always joined in the middle.
The title card during Hadley’s introduction is literally a green stripe over a red stripe, then the hallways of the airport are green, and of course Hadley’s ever-important backpack is a rosy red. As the couple grow closer on their flight, the light turns pink. Once in London, a green van takes Oliver one way while a red taxi takes Hadley the other. At her father’s wedding, Hadley is dressed in red (“the color of a bruise” she calls it), contrasting beautifully against her green jacket. Upon realizing Oliver’s true purpose, she chases after him on an iconic red double-decker bus. Meanwhile at the living memorial, Oliver’s father is dressed in red while his mother wears a faded green, as if to say she is already beginning to fade away. The event is decorated with green drapery and streamers, and there are even stacks of red and green chairs in the stairwell where Oliver begs his mother to receive treatment.
Hadley gifts her red and green bouquet to Tessa, and when she is driven away, a green-clad narrator returns the red backpack to Oliver. Wandering London alone, Hadley exchanges her painful red heels for a pair of green trainers (“sneakers!” she insists), and tries to call her dad first in a red phone booth and then on a phone from a stranger sitting in a cluster of red chairs. Finally, Oliver chooses to pursue Hadley to the wedding reception which is lit in pink, and where they finally share the long-awaited kiss.
There are many more examples, but in general we see that green indicates separation and loss, while red symbolizes joining, intimacy, and (what else?) love! It lends the film a gorgeous, subtle aesthetic without being garishly festive, and shows the lovers’ emotional journey from lonely childhood to vulnerable, loving adulthood.
Death and Rebirth
Speaking of which, there’s plenty of rebirth imagery too! When Hadley and Oliver meet, they are both still children, struggling with the impending loss of parental security through divorce and death. Thus, when they board the plane, it is as if they enter an underworld or womb, separated from their families and remade as new adults. They emerge on the other side into a hallway (read: birth canal), as each must still confront their own dying childhood before they can join as full and equal partners. Hadley journeys to a bright, red-strewn celebration of life, while Oliver must enter a dark green commemoration of death, his fear driving him deeper to hide in another hallway. Here his mother comes to find him, begging him to emerge into life, but Ollie still can’t confront her death alone.
Thankfully, Hadley travels to this underworld to find him, bursting into the memorial like a bright red flower. Even the bruise metaphor works, acknowledging the pain they are both experiencing at the changes in their lives. But Oliver still refuses to face his fears, trying to take a shortcut around death to life with Hadley. Still, she knows he’s not ready (likely because she’s not yet, either), and gently pushes back. And so, Oliver returns to the underworld, and Hadley walks off alone until she descends barefoot through a soggy riverside tunnel (birth canal again!). Finally, she calls her father and admits she is “lost.” When he arrives, Hadley at last gathers the courage to ask why he ended their old life, and to tell him how much it hurt her. But as Oliver predicted, she forgives her dad and even begins to accept his new bride.
Back at the memorial, Oliver is reminded by Hadley’s red backpack - his unaddressed emotional baggage - to be honest about his pain. In at last openly mourning his mother and his own childhood, Ollie takes a step into adulthood, just enough for his family to nudge him that extra bit to go after Hadley. And so, the family delivers him to his bride, who has meanwhile learned to dance again, even through her heartbreak. With one last confession, the two consummate their love with a kiss, bathed in pink light before an open door.
Happily Ever After
There’s so much more, with the hand-holding, numbers, Shakespeare, Dickens, the music, and beyond, but the point is that this cute, charming little romance is actually very deliberately constructed. It follows timeless patterns and motifs which we instinctively understand through visual and auditory language. And the narration plays a huge role in this as well, not unlike the prologues and epilogues of the Bard’s plays in that they state the story’s lessons plainly: that we cannot always be prepared for unwelcome surprises, but that we can make the choice to love every day.
Anyway, Vanessa Caswill deserves all the flowers and if you haven’t seen her gorgeous adaptation of Little Women (with all due respect to the marvelous Greta Gerwig and Gillian Armstrong), please do yourself a favor and watch that after you finish this!

Wedding Flowers and Their Beautiful Meanings
A wedding is an unseen chapter where the bonds of love and matrimony come together. It is a day meticulously adorned, where the golden arches resonate with celestial beauty and the melody of nature.
A wedding is a time infused with all dreams and hopes, and for this moment to be even more straightforward and beautiful, the arrangement of flowers becomes exceptionally crucial. Especially in the celebration of a wedding, careful consideration is given to the preparation of each flower, which should be diverse, romantic, and delightful.
Wedding flowers emerged as the vibrant threads that wove together a story of romance and natural beauty. The floral arrangements were precisely curated and artfully placed, where every petal seemed to whisper tales of love.
Various flowers are commonly used in weddings, each chosen for its unique beauty, symbolism, and versatility. Here are some popular wedding flowers near me and their symbolic meanings:
Roses are beautiful, fragrant and versatile, which contributes to their status as the most popular wedding flower of all time. The bride's bouquet bursts forth with bountiful roses, their velvety petals embracing each other in a symphony of passionate reds, delicate pinks, and ivory whites, creating a sensory masterpiece of romance.
Peonies are known for their lush, full blooms. Peonies represent prosperity, romance, and a happy marriage. They are popular in bridal bouquets, providing a romantic and luxurious feel.
Lilies are elegant and regal. Lilies are often associated with virtue and commitment. White lilies, in particular, symbolise the restored innocence of the soul. They are commonly used in bouquets and floral arrangements.
Tulips, with their diverse colours, represent love and cheerfulness. Red tulips symbolise true love, whereas white tulips convey forgiveness. Tulips can be incorporated into bouquets and centrepieces, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.
Orchids are exotic and alluring, representing love, beauty, and strength. They are often used in boutonnieres, corsages, and as elegant additions to bouquets and centrepieces.
Baby's Breath isdelicate, airy and symbolic of everlasting love and purity. It is commonly used as a filler flower in bouquets, centrepieces, and boutonnieres.
Sunflowers, radiant and joyful, represent adoration and loyalty. They are popular in rustic and outdoor weddings, bringing a warm and cheerful ambiance to the celebration.
Dahlias, with their intricate petals, symbolise elegance, inner strength, and creativity. They are often featured in bouquets and centrepieces, adding a bold and vibrant touch. Choosing wedding flowers online or offline involves not only considering their aesthetic appeal but also recognizing the meanings and sentiments they convey, allowing couples to infuse their celebration with personal and symbolic significance.

Hogwarts Dreams at Night
Part 1: An Owl Appears
Warnings: None
MINORS DO NOT READ!!
Words: 4k
At eleven years old you sat by the bay window in your living room. You tapped boredly on the glass watching as two raindrops raced to the bottom. Your head resting on your palm. You sighed the right raindrop splashing onto the bottom of the window. It was another boring Sunday.
Your parents were out working. Your parents owned a flower shop in London. Your mother's dream was to have her own shop to grow and sell flowers. When an order came in for a bouquet of flowers for a wedding or Valentine's Day she always cheered. Your father followed her to London, his wish was to be with her, to always make her happy.
He did just that when they had you.
Now at eleven, you sat by the bay window waiting for them to come home. It was too wet and cold to play outside. All of your friends were home probably finishing their homework. You had completed your school work the day it was given and handed it in the same day.
You loved reading but you'd already read every book in your collection including your mother's, twice. So there was nothing left for you to do but sit and wait for them to return.
at three o'clock your parents were still out working. The nanny they left you with was asleep on the couch placed in front of the TV. The only thing that separated the two was a brown coffee table your father made.
At four o'clock you got hungry. You went into the kitchen and poured yourself a bowl of cereal, you hadn't learned how to use the stove yet but you were sure you could figure it out.
At five o'clock you laid on your bed reading again. An encyclopedia all about frogs. You had just learned about amphibians and reptiles in school. Just as you reached your favorite part, there was a tap on your window. You perked your head eyes zooming in the glass. A branch large enough to fit a bird's nest blew back and forth in the strong wind. You ignored it until you heard another tap. This time when you looked at the glass there was an owl. A white owl perched on the long branch a white envelope in its hand.
Curious you lifted from your bed leaving the book behind. You slowly walked to the window unable to wipe the smile from your lips. You'd never seen an owl so close before, let alone during this time of day. Maybe the owl was sick or perhaps blind? You thought seeing the sun barely peak over the dark clouds.
The owl shuffled side to side before it flew to the window tapping on it with its beak. You smiled eyes wide as you flicked the lock opening the window wide. The rain poured into your room landing on your white carpet. Soaking the fabric of your socks. The owl flew inside flying around your room. Creating chaos as it knocked down books and flew past your candle darkening the room. You held onto your head ducking to avoid its claws.
Once the envelope fell from its mouth and onto your bed it flew out the window. You quickly ran to shut it stopping the rain from coming inside and strong cold winds from hitting your face.
You let out a huff as you locked your window seeing the owl was gone. You turned back to your bed. The envelope sitting on the mattress. You walked over climbing onto the sheets and picking up the letter. You flipped it over seeing a red stamp holding the paper closed.
The front was addressed to you.
You had never received mail before. Well once before when your best friend Jeno invited you to his eleventh birthday party last Spring. But you had never received mail and didn't know what was inside. Nor were ever able to open up the envelopes you received anyway. When you receive your grades or tests your parents always open them.
You excitedly open the envelope pulling the folded cream colored paper out.
Dear Y/n
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than July 31st.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress
You held the letter in your hands eyes gliding across the page. "Hogwarts?" you thought out loud. Every time your eyes flashed over the words witch and wizard your heart skipped a beat. An owl had come to you and delivered a letter for a magic school. To any other child, it would spark a whole new world of imagination. An escape perhaps from your boredom.
But was it true? A school is full of magic. The keys at the front door caught your attention. Your parents were finally home. Maybe they could answer all your questions.
Your tiny feet ran down the stairs. Both your parents step inside removing their shoes. Confused expression on their faces when you ran to them. Normally they'd find you deep into a book or your studies. They usually found you reading a book about whatever animal you had learned about or a piece of ancient history.
You rarely ever ran to greet them. They didn't mind it. They understood the powers a good book can hold.
"Hello darling," your mother said bending down and kissing your forehead. She squinted her eyes at the letter in your hand. Your father noticed it too. "What do you have there?" he asked pointing at the letter. You held up the cream-colored brownish letter.
"A letter from a witch school," you said eyes glowing. Your mother gasped and your father scoffed. He looked over at the nanny who was now awake. He walked over to her, paying her and quickly ushering her out. Your mother took you into the living room. You sat down on the couch. You sat in the same spot the nanny once sat in. It was still warm.
Your father sat on your left. You still held the letter between your small fingers. Your mother walked in with a sigh. She wiped her hands on her pants as she sat down on your right. A small smile formed on her lips. "May I see the letter?" she asked. You handed it to her with a small nod, as well as the envelope.
She expanded the letter reading the rest.

She nodded off chewing her lip. "Still the same," she said. She handed the letter off to your father.
He motioned her placing it down on the coffee table.
"What is it?" you asked the both of them. "What is Hogwarts?" you asked. Many questions flooded your mind. What did your mother mean by 'still the same'?
"Hogwarts is a school for wizards and witches," she said. You raised your bow confused. "But I'm not a witch or wizard," you responded. "They don't even exist," you said. Your mother chuckled. She gripped onto your hands looking deep into your eyes. Her warm smile calmed you. "There are many things that exist out there. Far beyond things you can imagine," she said. Your wide eyes and mind started to wonder. Surely your mother was either crazy or telling the truth.
You chose to believe she was telling the truth.
"So vampires exist?" you asked nervously. Your father chimed in. "Hogwarts isn't a school for creatures or monsters," he said touching your shoulder. You looked over at him with curious eyes. "It's a school for people like you," he said. You sat back his hand slipping off your shoulder. Your heart thumped skipping a beat. "For me?' you questioned. Your mother nodded.
"You're a witch Y/n," she said a hint of excitement in her voice.
"And a damn good one. Once they train you!" your father said charged. "Being that your mom was one of the best witches that ever existed," he said. Your mother looked away shly. While your parents egarly celebrated the letter you sat there on the brown couch still confused but intrigued.
----
At 11 you had arrived at the train station. You stepped onto platform 9 3/4 after running through the wall of the station saying goodbye to your parents. You were pleased to discover Jeno had also received a letter in the mail awaiting his arrival at Hogwarts. You had both gone to the station together. You both sat beside each other on the train. Looking outside the window. Wandering eyes glowing as kids much older than you walked around looking as if they knew exactly where they were going.
Once everyone boarded you and Jeno sat back on the chairs of the train sitting right across from each other.
"My father told me of a sport called Quidditch. He said he used to play during his time at Hogwarts," Jeno began excitedly feet barely touching the floor of the train. They swung back and forth as he spoke. A proud smile on his lips.
"I'm thinking of trying out for the team," he said. You nodded mimicking his smile. "I'm sure you'll make it. You were our school's best football player," you said. Jeno went to speak but a smaller boy with glasses walked by. He looked into your cart eyeing the book beside you. He scoffed pointing at it.
"Frogs? Seriously? Are you nine?" he asked cocky smile on his lips. You looked over at the book and then at him with a shrug. "I like reading it. Why do you care?" you asked a scrunch in your nose in annoyance. He scoffed arms crossing over his chest. "Frogs are boring and slimy," he said stepping into your cart. He moved the book to the side but it ended up falling on the ground.
You went to get it but Jeno grabbed it for you. "Thank you," you said with a smile. Jeno smiled at you and sent the stranger a dirty look. There was a small beat of awkward silence.
"Are you two some sort of couple?" he asked. Both you and Jeno frowned facing morphing into disgust. You shook your head. "No. He's my best friend," you said. Jeno nodded, "Besides I have a girlfriend," he said. The boy with the glasses chuckled. "Relax," he said. He turned back to you. He opened the bag he held handing you a book.
"Read this instead. It's way more interesting than that boring book of yours," he said handing the brown old book to you. You dusted it off.
1,000 Magical Herbs and Fungi
You looked up seeing the boy still next to you. "Why are you still here?" you asked. He opened his mouth surprised. Then closed it. He opened it again to speak but didn't. Instead, he stood up readying to exit the cart. Before he could exit an older lady with a cart of sweets stopped in front of him. She offered him some but he refused shaking his hand.
Jeno's eyes twinkled at the sweets. He had only seen hundreds of different candies once in London at a sweet shop. He stood up pushing the boy to the side. He huffed dusting off his brown vest. He fixed his glasses.
"Excuse me," he said to the lady. She moved her cart to the side for him to exit. Once he stepped out he turned to you.
"Make sure you return that book!" he said with a point of his finger. You went to ask him his name but he walked away. You huffed sitting back into the seat. He reminded you of a girl in your class. Always acting like she knew more than you. She constantly reminded you when she scored higher than you did. Especially on days you missed class because you were fighting her friends behind the school for stealing your books and homework. Samantha hated you were smarter than her.
Jeno sat down across from you. Many different colored sweets in his hand. He offered you a bright pink cotton-shaped candy but you shook your head. He shrugged moving closer to the window eating his sweets and watching each tree pass by. You turned to the book, eyeing the book of frogs. Maybe if you were going to Hogwarts it was time to leave the children's books behind and start focusing on things you'd need to know.
Like magic plants and their purposes. You opened the book to the first page. You noticed the book came from a library. You scanned the list of names. The last and most recent name reading was Huang Renjun.
----
At 11 years old you arrived at Hogwarts. At dusk, you traveled on a boat to reach the school. It was dark when you finally entered the school. You couldn't help but look and gawk at every piece of art, staircase, candle in the school. It was like something out of a storybook. The castle expanded the further you walked in. Feeling like the halls never ended.
You and the rest of the students were ushered into the dining hall. The tables quickly filled with kids just around your age. You stood close to Jeno. You both sat down at the same table. From where you sat you could see the kid from the train sitting beside a plumber boy with puffy pink lips. The two started talking becoming quick friends.
You looked away observing the rest of the room. Everything looked perfect, magical. Candles lit from the ceiling, floating over everyone. You could see stars from thousands of miles away. The table in front of you was filled with delicious full-course meals. The room was loud everyone excitedly getting to know one another and breathless taking in the large dining room.
You looked around the room eyes meeting with a brown-haired boy. He looked in your direction. Your eyes went big seeing him look back at you. A small smile formed on his lips. He waved at you. You raised your hand slowly waving back. Jeno leaned over your shoulder eyeing the direction you stared in. He zoomed in on the boy squinting his eyes. Once he realized you were making googly eyes to the boy he laughed.
You huffed rolling your eyes. "Ooo Y/n has a crush," he teased poking your shoulder repeatedly. You shrugged him off crossing your arms in front of you. "Shut up," you spat back annoyed. You looked away from him and at the new boy. He was laughing with a few boys next to him. Your hand rested on your palm eyes resting in his direction.
----
You were 11 when the sorting hat placed you in Gryffindor just after it placed Jeno there. You happily went to Jeno's side. Happy to remain close to your best friend.
You were 11 when the sorting hat placed that strange annoying boy with the glasses into Ravenclaw.
You were 11 years old when the boy with the brown hair and pink lips who you discovered was named Na Jaemin was placed into Slytherin. Your mother warned you of Slytherin's. But at that moment you had forgotten and were just happy to be with your best friend.
You looked at each boy and back at the room with a smile. You were ready to begin this new journey of your life.
Little did you know that these three boys would create such chaos in your life.
-----
You were in your second year at Hogwarts. Just twelve years old when your professor had to pair up with another student for a project in your Spells class. You went to choose Jeno, but your professor stopped you.
"Y/n," he called while everyone else found their partners.
You approached his desk Jeno waiting for you at your shared desk. "Yes?" you asked. He flicked away an inch on his nose. He motioned to the other students in the room. "You're a smart girl. Jeno doesn't need your help. I'm going to pair you up with a different student," he said. You weren't too worried about finding another partner. In your first year, you and Jeno made a new group of friends.
Still didn't mean you didn't want to pick your partner like everyone else.
"Who?" you asked. He pointed at a boy behind you. You turned and any worry about who it might be left your mind. It was the same brown-haired boy from the dining hall. The one with the big eyes and wide smile. He was leaning on his desk talking to a few of his friends. His head fell back in laughter.
"Jaemin," he said. You smiled a part of you excited. This was your chance to talk to him, get close to him. However, you had never really talked to a boy you liked before. Not without Jeno in your ear teasing you. This time it would be normal.
You made your way to him, a pep in your step. You tapped him on his shoulder. His friends, all Slytherin, eyed you. Their laughter dying down including Jaemin's. He turned his head over his shoulder tongue poking the inside of his mouth.
"Can I help you?" he said rather rudely. You brushed it off. Ignoring his bothered tone. "We're partners on the Spells project," you said. He scoffed leaning his body to you. "No we're not," he said. His friends started to chuckle. You could feel your cheeks heating up. You bit the inside of your mouth. It was getting harder to dismiss his tone.
You let out a sigh. "Look I don't want to be your partner either. Let's just get the project over with and I'll never speak to you again," you said annoyed. His laughter died down. He raised a brow pretending to think. He tapped his finger on his chin and then snapped his two fingers together.
"How about you do the entire project on your own and never speak to me again?" he said in the form of a question, a wide grin on his face. Just as you went to speak a book went flying to his head. Everyone turned to see who did it. Jeno had his arms crossed over his chest suspiciously looking the other way. You chuckled looking back at Jaemin who rubbed the back of his head.
He was the shortest crush you'd ever have.
-----
In year three you and Huang Renjun began to compete. You spent most of your time studying. Jeno being on the Quidditch team allowed you that extra time alone to study. You'd sometimes see Renjun in the library studying. You'd send glares to each other muttering under your breath.
In the classes you shared you'd always make sure your hand was up before his to answer the question the professor asked. At one point many students placed bets to see which of them would score higher on an exam.
You won almost every time.
----
By year four you and Jeno started to grow slightly distant. He was still always there for you and vice versa but things became more complicated when he started to become more curious about dating.
It seemed every week he had a new girl he liked. With a new girl in his life, he was crushing on.
You never paid too much attention to Jeno's dating life. Jeno for some reason loved to be involved in yours. You had a few crushes here and there but nothing ever too serious. He seemed to always want to know about them. If they were good enough for his best friend. If they treated you right.
But that's only for crushes he knew about. Most times he was playing Quidditch or with a girl.
You tended to focus more on your books anyway.
---
By year five you had officially hated Na Jaemin.
Jaemin seemed to pick you as his next victim. He teased you, but in the way Jeno did. When Jeno annoyed you it was out of friendship love. You knew deep down Jeno was harmless. But Jaemin was completely different. The boy was nutritiously known for playing around with girls before they slept with them, and then ghosted them.
You were not going to be one of those girls.
Jeno never really liked Jaemin either. Ever since he dissed you in front of the entire class during year two. However, there was not much he could say or do. The two of you in the Gryffindor common room had shared a moment togther.
He kissed you in the middle of the night. You kissed him back. He then asked you to the Yule ball. You said yes and when the night approached you saw him with another girl, laughing and dancing together. Then you saw them kiss later that night. Jaemin who saw the whole thing happened left you alone.
You weren't together but it still hurt.
That night you had your first argument with Jeno. Jeno was tired of you ignoring him. He just wanted to know what he did wrong. You told him and he became even more upset by your reasoning. He tried to explain the girl was his friend and he only danced with her because Jaemin stood her up.
He said "One Dance. I danced with her once because she was upset about Jaemin," he said.
"You still kissed her," you'd fight back. Jeno stunned and with a chest full of pain would ask. "You saw that?" to which you have replied with.
"Are you more upset that you hurt my feelings or that you got caught?"
You stopped being friends with him after that. It was too weird.
Renjun didn't bother you much during this time. You still competed but in silence.
Jaemin loved the fact you weren't friends anymore. It meant he could talk to you without Jeno getting in the way.
----
By year six you had gotten a boyfriend named Jaehyun. He was older than you and a Gryffindor as well. He was also captain of the Quidditch team. Jaehyun was a great guy. He treated you with respect and was very kind to you.
Jaemin and Jeno both didn't like him.
Jaemin still wouldn't leave you alone. Using magic to distract you during class.
Renjun became somewhat of your friend. He'd talk to you in the halls but it was really only to gloat about his accomplishments in and outside of Hogwarts. Any chance he got he would approach you. Reminding you that not only did he have rich parents but that he was smarter than you.
That same day would be the first time you got in serious trouble.
In the library, you used a spell to erase all his notes from year one to six. He failed his exam because of you. Your professors were disappointed. Word got out of what you did. Some people said you cheated. Others said he deserved it.
All you remember is that it made you feel good.
---
Now you'd start year seven. Much older and mature now. You and Jaehyun had broken up due to distance. You and Jeno were still not friends, Jaemin still enjoyed bothering you, and Renjun still hated you.
You still cared about Hogwarts, deeply. But not in the same way you had felt during year one. The same spark you had felt in the beginning began to fade. You started to imagine a world outside of Witchcraft. Maybe a normal job like your mom?
She was a witch and owned a flower shop in the muggle world. Maybe you could do something like that too.
So you thought.
To Be Continued...
Hope you enjoy my new series, Hogwarts Dreams at Night.
I'm excited for you all to read it!
See you soon ;)

{srry I got way too carried away in this little plot and I hope you like it anon even though I got side tracked}
{Warnings!! The most fluff!! The love language of flowers!! Literally just heartwarming!!}
♡being engaged to Sherlock could be hard sometimes. He was the most sought after bachelor before he met you when suddenly, he was ready to give his life to you.
♡Sherlock fans would often send you rude mail and menacing glares. Yet Sherlock would always tell you to ignore them.
♡Yet how could you ignore them when you got them everywhere. With Sherlock always at work, you decided to confide in your closest friend: Max.
♡You had grown up with Max and he was your dearest friend. He never upset you and often supported your ideas, he was truly lovely. Yet you both never saw each other in a romantic light.
♡One morning, after you had woken up alone due to Sherlock going to work. You decided to go and visit Max and see how he was doing as he was currently trying to woo a woman.
♡When you got there you were immediately encased in a hug and Max dragging you down the streets of London to go shopping while he spoke about how he was going to find the perfect bouquet of flowers to woo his lady.
♡As you were both strolling down the market with your arms linked, you felt eyes watching you. No doubt the folks that detested you for stealing Sherlock from his work.
♡When you turned to look you were shocked to see, Sherlock and Ebola stood there. Enola was talking to him yet he had his eyes dead set on you. You could see his jaw tighten and his hands crumple into fists.
♡You felt your heart race, Sherlock had never been angry, let alone angry at you which is why you were so nervous to see him angry now.
♡Max pulled your arm and dragged your attention away from your fiance babbling excitedly about seeing the perfect bouquet.
♡As you stood next to Max as he was looking at the variety of flowers, you heard the familiar voice of Enola grow closer.
♡Before you could even turn to see the girl, a hard chest was pressed against your back and an arm wrapped around your waist making you gasp. You turned and there was Sherlock.
♡He wasn't glaring at you, rather at Max. He jaw still clenched. You squeezed his bicep and he focused his attention on you. You raised an eyebrow at him.
♡Max turned his attention to you both and Sherlock spoke, "Dove, come on we must return home. We must continue planning our wedding. Enola had a few ideas."
♡You looked at him shocked, "My darling, can it not wait? I am busy here trying to help my friend."
♡"My dear, I do not care if he is your friend, I am your fiance and I require your attention more than him."
♡You glared at him, "Sherlock how hypocritical of you. You never pay me any attention so why should I give you any? If you are going to let your foolish jealousy talk for you then I suggest you stay away from me."
♡Max stared and looped his arm through yours and you continued strolling down the street, all the while Sherlock felt his heart crack.
♡He turned to Enola, "Have I really not shown her how much I adore her? Does she feel that deprived of my presence?"
♡Enola stared at him, placing a hand on her hip before glaring at him, "You are silly dear brother. You often go to work rather than talk to your dear future wife. You haven't even professed your love for her you stupid man."
♡Sherlocks eyes widened, "Help me Enola, help me fix my wrong."
✧──────────────────────────────────✧
♡It had been a day since you had seen Sherlock and you felt your heart ache a fraction over not seeing him.
♡Max had been wonderful and allowed you to stay at his house for the night where finally revealed he was trying to woo Lady Ristunberg.
♡You were awoken by a knock at the door. You grabbed a night coat and sorted yourself out so you looked mildly decent and opened the door.
♡Your heart hammered at seeing Sherlock stood there with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
♡"Sherlock? What are you going here? It's so early." You stared at his beautiful puppy dog eyes and how he was starting to get eye bags. "Have you slept?"
♡He stared at you, "I have not my lady. You see I require you to be happy with me so that then I can sleep peacefully. And due to the fact you are not, I have not slept and have dedicated the night to searching for ways to prove my love for you."
♡You stared at him and then at the flowers in his hand. "Will you give me a minute to change so that then we may return home?"
♡A sigh left his lips, and he nodded relieved.
✧──────────────────────────────────✧
♡When you arrived back with Sherlock hiding in your shadow, you were surprised to find the flat organised.
♡You watched as Sherlock walked past you and handed you 5 books. All the books that you had given him to read while he was trying to court you.
♡"What is this Sherlock?" He walked over to you and took the first book you ever gave him from your hands.
♡He opened the book and flicked to a page where a flower rested. A pink camellia. You looked at him, "A pink camellia. It symbolises longing. The first book you ever gave me when I was courting you. I marked the pages with how I longed for your love."
♡He took the second book, and there rested a blue salvia. "The second book, where you started to slowly give in to my advances. And then the first time I heard your laugh, your cute little giggle. I marked it that day with a blue salvia, it means thinking of you. I thought about the beauty of your voice for days on end."
♡The next book was taken and the next flower shown, a pink rose. "Happiness. A pink rose is happiness because everything you did, you do, makes me happy."
♡You felt tears gather in your eyes, as the fourth book opened and there was a red rose. He smiled shakily, "The day you agreed to court me I marked it with a red rose. It means I love you. Truly my heart belong only to you."
♡You felt a few tears slip at finally hearing those words. Sherlock leaned forward and wiped your tears before he took the last book from your hands and opened it.
♡Held between his fingers was a red flower, he handed it to you and you took it before staring at him. "A red salvia."
♡"What does it mean?" Your voice was so soft.
♡He chuckled, "It means forever mine. The day you agreed to marry me, you were forever mine. But the day you first spoke to me, I was forever yours. You held my heart before you even knew it. I know I am a hard man but my love,"
♡You watched as he got on he knees infront of you and stared up. You placed the flower on the side close to you, and put your hands on his face.
♡"I love you. I worship the ground you walk on. I am thankful to be near you. I adore you, and though I am terrible at showing it, I hope you know that I truly mean it."
♡You got on your knees and kisses Sherlock embracing the overwhelming amount of love that was in the room.
♡When you both pulled away, you placed your forehead against his and closed your eyes. You felt him take your small hand in his and you smiled.
♡"I love you too Sherlock Holmes so very much, all I ask is that you come home and spend time with me more."
♡"My dearest dove, I promise you I will. I will make sure you wake up drowning in my love. And then when your Mrs. Holmes you will carry our love." He chuckled and you blushed.
♡"You were quite attractive jealous though I must admit."
♡A laugh echoed around the room and he pulled you up against him and he dragged you to the bedroom. "Well then I must admit you're quite attractive covered in my marks."
