#w101 #wizard101 #w101 fandom #wizard101 fandom #dasein #sal art #finally did a full-body piece of his post-canon fit for his and aedan's verse!#in their canon things go a bit differently at the end of novus #which means wallaru doesnt happen #so for a while dasein just kept his Pajamas Form (the blue smokey one)#but i decided that was more of an interim look than anything else and he needed something a little more permanent #and made this one!#right side crystal-esque pattern of his outfit is mostly based on the aeon armor #as is the blobby bits on his sleeves (which move!) and his rings (which mimic the gems on the hands on the back of the robes)#(since as far as im concerned he created the aeon gear and the hands are meant to be him literally 'having our back' so theyre His hands)#left side is based on both his canon post-wallaru fit as well as the gmod missing texture pattern #its a little too small to see but he has a collar chain that's got little eyes as the pins :]#he keeps the blue-grey color but gets his wings back and also isn't constantly shifting anymore #and he also keeps the old one's converse those are a permanent fixture--#the little eye fellas are like scouts/messengers and let him keep track of multiple parts of novus at once #without getting too overwhelmed #sighhh i could talk about this guy forever #one day i'll actually finish his and aedan's fic

The Spy Parentage Conundrum In My Genderbend Fics, a meta:

In TF2 canon, Spy is (implied to be) the biological father of Scout. So where does that leave these characters in the genderbend world, when I write them? I started thinking about it and immediately concluded that I couldn't imagine Spy ever physically having a kid. Instead, I approached it like this in the fics: I imagined first that Spy's pa (in this case, it's a full swap) already had the kids, but the bio mother left/something happened. (More under the read-more)

After that, Spy entered the picture. Scout's dad explained to the kids patiently that yes, Spy wasn't their biological mother, but she could be considered their "mom" for all intents and purposes. This is the way the first couple of years go, and Spy realizes pretty quickly that staying in one place with all these kids is boring and sucks. Scout is her least favorite of the bunch. Spy eventually dips.

About two decades later, none of the kids can remember Spy's face, but Scout's dad still mentions her sometimes. At her first day at work, Spy is quick to recognize Scout as the one of that random guy's kids who she liked the least. Even worse, her dislike has continued into Scout's adulthood.

The dynamic this eventually provides is Spy reluctantly watching out for Scout, although she doesn't really care much what happens to her outside of like, life-or-death-no-Respawn things. Scout, to her credit, just finds Spy rather annoying, not dissimilar to the game canon. She never makes the connection that Spy was the person she was told was her "mom", and so treats her more like an annoying coworker than anything else.

pretty funny to me that theyve let chiaki be an animal two times ever and it was a deer and a hamster. in all nine years of ensemnble stars. and both 3* cards

#i just thought of this like wtf i feel like almost eveyrone else has a bunch of animal cards #and i thought of it bc i was thikning of bnuuy chiaki. he was in my brain and i released him into the world (piece of paper) and then i was #pondering the extremely loud lack of bunny chiaki cards Which made me realize the even louder lack of any chiaki animal cards #but anyways i love deer chiaki and hamster chiaki #h e should really get a dog card tho bc obviously he is a dog like come on #deer and hamster is fitting too bc theyre both like such nervous/strung up creatures in a way that is very chiaki esque to me #But hes dog.#Ive been thinking about this since liike last year but i hope ensemble stars carries on until 2030 so the year of the dog can happen and #they do the new years scouts and chiaki has to get a year of the dog 5* okay. listen to me #i suppose they could also just have like a dog theme scout for literally any other reason but its less funny to say that #and hed match with midori fromlast year of the dog. Maybe this time chiaki can think midori turned into an animal and try to rescue her
