heyyy hope ur doing ok !! I’d really love to hear ur thoughts on how the svt members would teach u to drive (or the ones that can drive anyways!) lots of love xoxo
oh my god, this was SO much fun to write (and now i can't think about anything else but them driving)
seventeen teaching you how to drive | ot13
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
CHOI SEUNGCHEOL
𓆩♡𓆪 kind of like driving with your dad (or your dad trying to explain you maths) - at some point you end up crying. He wants to teach you, he really does, but in the end he gets too impatient, so he just yells and takes the steering wheel from you.
YOON JEONGHAN
𓆩♡𓆪 has a kind of “meh” attitude. He teaches you as best as he can, but whatever happens later, happens. Not his issue anymore. But he really tries his best, it’s not like he wants you or anyone else to get hurt.
 HONG JOSHUA
𓆩♡𓆪 very patient and gentle, but maybe too gentle. He doesn’t have the heart to scold you, so even if you speed past a “stop” sign and doesn’t stop, he doesn’t say anything. And every time you ask if you did good, he says yes (and cries a little bit inside).
WEN JUNHUI
𓆩♡𓆪 he tries his best, but teaching someone how to drive is very hard. You’d probably not even make it out of the parking lot, but you’d be a pro at parking the car. Would scream if you got too close to another car.
KWON SOONYOUNG
𓆩♡𓆪 a big no no to this guy. I adore him with my entire heart, but there is no way I would trust him to teach anyone how to drive. He doesn’t care about the speed limits, so there would be a 90% chance you’d get a speeding ticket on your first drive. Also, he’d tell you to turn left at the “no left turn” sign. The music would be blasting and he wouldn’t give a single fuck about anything.
JEON WONWOO
𓆩♡𓆪 a very patient teacher, would recommend 10/10. Explains everything like a pro (is he an idol or a F1 driver). He would be kind of strict though, but just because he wants to properly teach you how to drive and not harm yourself and others in the process.
LEE JIHOON
𓆩♡𓆪 sorry bae, not this time <3
XU MINGHAO
𓆩♡𓆪 takes the job very seriously. Explains everything from the basics about the car itself, but for some reason forgets to teach you the signs. So anytime you ask about a sign, he panics and tells you to just drive faster. As long as you don’t crash into anyone, it’s all good.
KIM MINGYU
𓆩♡𓆪 alongside Wonwoo, the best teacher you could have ever asked for. We know that he taught Chan how to drive, so he would have no problem teaching you how to drive as well. I don’t think I can say anything more about him, except for that I wish he was my driving instructor (mine was more like Seungcheol, it was not live, laugh, love).
LEE SEOKMIN
𓆩♡𓆪 for some reason he makes you drive very slowly, so you’re more rolling down the street than driving. A kid literally passed you on their scooter. Also, he’d focus too much on the nice view and forget that you technically can’t drive (you almost hit an old lady on the zebra crossing).
BOO SEUNGKWAN
𓆩♡𓆪 oh no. no. just no. It’s not that he is a bad teacher, he is just too scared. He doesn’t trust himself enough. He’d be clutching the grab handle above the door and his eyes would be closed at all times. He’d just tell you to drive forward and that would be it.
CHWE VERNON
𓆩♡𓆪 chaotic, but very chill at the same time. He’d mostly be like: you do you boo. You’d have a lot of fun, that’s for sure. If you ever passed the speed limit, he’d be like “yo bro, that’s crazy”.
LEE CHAN
𓆩♡𓆪 another great teacher. Might be a bit scared, because he isn’t that experienced himself, but he does his best. His driving lessons would be very safe and he’d make sure that you felt safe and confident behind the wheel.

hi Jack. so, it's the anon who told you about my mom a few weeks back. i was keeping up with your posting the last couple of days and, i swear, i could see the days before my mom's passing reflected in what you were saying. the optimism that something good was just around the corner before the elections (my optimism before she died), and the utter despair when the worst happened. and the feeling that there is no good fucking good reason to carry on.
even 3 years after my mom's passing, i'm still not 100% sure why i shouldn't have just died along with her.
but from my experience, i can tell you that you're even stronger than you know. and even on days when you wish it could all just be over, you'll keep living.
and even though you're hurting, i'm really glad you're still here.
which leads me to a second thing. thank you. thank you for listening and just shouldering the pain of an anonymous little grey face in your ask box. thank you for being kind and funny and genuine. thank you. please take care of yourself, stay safe, and know that someone (lbr probably several someones) oceans away really cares about you.
hi, you <3 i'm always so happy to hear from you. thank you for coming to talk to me, and for your empathy. honestly? despair is such a good word for what i'm feeling. this is the lowest, most inescapable grief and hopelessness i have ever felt. i woke up this morning from another fitful night of sleep and felt like i was suffocating. this is a nightmare from which i cannot awaken and navigating this reality is a moment-by-moment struggle. i will keep living because, to be honest, i don't know how to do anything but that. but it is very sad and hard. i feel like a zombie walking around crying, unable to think or process or hold conversation, and i know one day this feeling will be a memory but right now, it's very real. all of this, from the election results to the way i'm feeling right now, feels impossible and i don't know how to climb this very steep mountain.
but.
the sun came up this morning. the annoying kids who live down the street from me were playing on their scooters last night and the click of the wheels going over the grooves in the sidewalk was very familiar, even during a time of uncertainty. life goes on, life, even when it's strange and abnormal, is still full of normalcy, and pockets of brightness in endless seas of grey, and that's what i'm holding on too. you're one of those bright spots, by the way. i really appreciate that we can have such honest and authentic conversation. talking to you feels like community, and i care about you too. thank you for stopping by and checking in. it means more than you know.

Do you have any scars and if so, do you remember what they’re from? I have my leg scar but I also have a small half moon crescent scar on my hand that’s from glass that I cut myself on when I was like 4 and then I have a few small scars on my left index finger that I can’t remember where they came from
The worst scar I have is on my ankles, when I was a kid I had one of those 3 wheeled scooters
Tumblr media
This thing, and I thought it would be a good idea to have my dog pull me along as I sat on it, when he started running I tried to slow down by putting my feet down but he was going fast enough to where my feet just got pulled under the wing thing at the back and I scraped my ankles along the asphalt of the road until he stopped
I also have a indentation/cut thing on my leg and I genuinely cannot remember what it’s from?? And a little cut on my index finger from when I was trying to build a cardboard fort as a kid with a steak knife, funnily enough remember it not hurting at all and I only noticed because the cardboard I was cutting was suddenly covered in blood

Vivid BAD SQUAD 🌆
Delta E scores defined against the RYB color wheel.
sekai characters
Akito 🥞 #ff7721 pumpkin: orange 4.92
Toya ☕️ #0077dd mariner: blue 10.6
Kohane 🐹 #ff679a french rose: red 27.45
red group! red leader! yaaaaay
An 🎧 #00bbdc scooter: blue 33.68, green 42.12
scooter...... is the funniest name for an. she was definitely a razor scooter kid and i need this to be canon
missing direct colormatch: yellow, purple
colorwheel accuracy with no overlaps
(95.08 + 89.4 + 72.55 + 57.88)/4 = 78.73%
🌆
virtual singers
because vbs has 7 members, there is no way to evenly divide up a six-colored wheel (at least no way that wouldn’t involve weird gross color mixing), so the virtual singers will have to reuse a color
Len 🍌 #ffee12 broom: yellow 4.61, purple 92.58
MEIKO 🍷 #de4444 flush mahogany: red 10.33, purple 35.86, yellow 64.98
Miku 🎤 #33ccbb turquoise: green 24.58, yellow 39.32, purple 65.17
colorwheel accuracy
(95.39 + 89.67 + 75.42)/3 = 86.83%
🌆
overall colorwheel accuracy with no one (1) overlap
(95.08 + 89.4 + 72.55 + 57.88 + 95.39 + 89.67 + 34.83)/7 = 76.4%
surprisingly! even tho miku got shafted with purple (meiko with purple and miku with green would have gave them a lower score! but i made a commitment to prioritize the closest matches alas) vbs still pulled off a passing score :D

21, 26, 30-32, 39-43 for whichever ocs you want :D
THANK U CHASE!! gonna talk abt the Tos family bc they're always on my mind :]
(🦁: Lux, 🦗: Ferdinand, 🐏: Athanasius, 🐦: Zephyr, 🦙: Alan)
21. Why do they get up in the morning?
🦁: After reconciling with his family and reuniting with the love of his life, he's just genuinely happy to be alive :]
🦗: He spent a long time in a sort of stasis, and although conscious, he wouldn't consider that time as "living". Now that he's back, he wants to treasure his time and finds joy in doing the little, basic things that he couldn't before.
🐏: Better than lying around all day. She likes to be busy! She's also got a sometimes intensive lab job to get to, and she's the primary breadwinner for the household (sharing an apartment with Zeph)
🐦: Gotta get work done. Even if she doesn't want to. Also generally doing better... getting him up isn't as hard as it used to be.
🦙: Xe gets stir-crazy so easily sdfkhjsd. They like going to school, generally, now that it's Normal and not Bad. He likes helping her dads around the house and going out to meet with xer brother(s) and friends :]
26. What is their preferred mode of transportation?
🦁: He has a license but prefers to bike or walk most places.
🦗: Also has a license and a car but likes taking public transportation, when available!
🐏: She has a scooter for shorter trips and a motorcycle for longer ones :]
🐦: Don't put her behind the wheel of a vehicle he'll start crying. Usually bums a ride from her sister or his friend Clara :]
🦙: Has a cute little moped that he rides everywhere! She also carries a foldable cane for if they have to walk for any prolonged time.
30. Who do they most regret meeting?
🦁: His great aunt... the woman who took him away to Saluria.
🐏: She's had a few bad exes here and there, but she doesn't think about them much (or, at least, she tries not to)
🦙: The director of his old school. Xe was nothing more than an asset to him; raw metal ready to be shaped into a piercing blade.
31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
🦁: Ferdinand <3
🦗: Lux <3
🐏: Zephyr, Lux, and their dad, Jules :]
🐦: Athanasius and Clara :]
🦙: His dads and Alex + David!
32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?
🦁: He doesn't have any specific story but sometimes he'll talk about the most insane shit that happened during the war and then not elaborate sdjkgfs.
🐏: "___-er? I hardly know 'er!" She thinks this is the funniest thing in the world.
39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?
🦁: He doesn't ignore it per say, but doesn't speak up unless it's causing undue problems for multiple other people, not just himself.
🐏: She has a hard time ignoring people's flaws, big or small, which has caused conflict in the past. She can be blunt about pointing them out, but she doesn't mean to be cruel about it; in her mind, if the problem is spoken, it is easier to address.
🐦: She won't say it to your face but he WILL complain to Thana and her friends later. Non-confrontational, sometimes to a fault.
40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?
🦁: ehe..
🦗: hm.
🐏: well,
🐦: erm.
🦙: Xe's normal actually.
41. How do they feel about children?
🦁: Never thought he'd be a dad (especially at his age), but considers himself incredibly blessed to be able to help raise Alan :]
🦗: Also never thought he would have kids, but always wanted to! Loves his kid and loved his time as a teacher.
🐏: Likes kids and loves her nephew but doesn't see herself ever having kids of her own.
🐦: Somewhat adverse to children, but more because she's just incredibly awkward and doesn't know how to interact.
🦙: <- is a child (but is generally kind towards younger kids)
42. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?
🦁: He went though hell to survive, to make it back home alive and to see his family one last time... Things have very drastically changed since then, but he'd do anything to keep his loved ones happy and safe.
🦗: <- Guy who spent over a decade building himself a new body because he refused to die.
🐏: She'd love to have a wife and a house and be retired but honestly she's just waiting to see where life takes her.
🐦: She's not in too much of a rush. He's learning to enjoy the process, especially as she's gotten older (and started transitioning).
🦙: Xe's not sure if he has an end goal other than "be happy" and "don't die until you're old).
43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?
🦁: Gay man (man in a loose sense, only a man insofar as he is attracted to men in a gay way).
🦗: Exclusively attracted to other men
🐏: Butch lesbian
🐦: Bi and aro, t4t
🦙: *shrugs*
