My rebublican neighbor was always sorta chummy w my brother. For context my brother is a supernatural fan who looked like a normie cishet man but he was rlly an autistic scizoid masc nonbinary pansexul pothead
So obviously when he entered a queer relationship our neighbor didnt get it and was outraged at my brothers partner for “turning him”. Then one day while i was getting my mail he told me that he finally watched the show (supernatural) my brother was constantly yapping about and he finally understood how my brother was gay this was followed by homophobia but i thought it was a funny story.
every once in a while i'll be made aware of the fact that there's like. a portion of the supernatural audience that's just redneck gun-toting americans and i'll have to be like. did they not get it. do they know that the MURICA they so dearly love is being torn to shreds in this show. do they understand that sam and dean are a representation of how american patriarchal society often fails young boys and that they shouldn't try to emulate them. and that the show is also heavily critical of religious institutions and their hypocritical preaching. someone should really tell them that

I don't worry about Jojo fans because no teenager should ever actually look like a Jojo character.
Once saw Jotaro described as "the most 40-year-old looking 17-year-old ever seen" and that still roughly sums up my thoughts on the matter.
#unless they have a growth disorder or something#otherwise something is seriously wrong#jjba#cries from the cryptid court#side note#also upset 21st century scizoid man wasn't the ending song#the band knew about the manga and fandom they could have gotten permission#obviously creepy fans are still creepy and obsessive yadda yadda#Narancia gave me agender envy before I even knew that was a thing so... whatever.

if you don't mind saying, what are (all) the things you got diagnosed with. i saw the yakko warner thing and it made me laugh. i've gone through about 5 myself so far
oh no i don’t mind listing them all because it is absolutely hysterical but also there is a nonzero chance i forget at least one. a concept which i promise will make sense when you see the size of the list. *extremely deep inhale*
disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (no) unspecified neurodevelopmental disorder (it was ADHD) major depressive disorder (no) major depression with psychotic features (still no) premenstrual depressive disorder (also no) dysthymia (no) rapid-cycling cyclothymia (yes) reverse seasonal affective disorder (yes) borderline personality disorder (no - actually ADHD) narcissistic personality disorder (not fully) antisocial personality disorder (yes) scizoid personality disorder (no) schizotypal personality disoder (no) paranoid personality disorder (no. also at one point i think i had 5 PDs at once) schizoaffective disorder (no) unspecified dissociative disorder (no) depersonalisation-derealisation disorder (solid maybe) bulimia (no) eating disorder not otherwise specified (no - part of ADHD) excoriation disorder (no - part of ADHD) PTSD (no) restless leg syndrome (yes) unspecified sleep disorder (no - part of ADHD) ADHD *wheeze* my psychotic symptoms are actually textbook brief psychotic disorder but it has not been diagnosed bc my psychiatrist simply has not heard of the concept of brief psychosis i’m not putting generalised anxiety disorder on this list bc despite his repeated attempts i never let him actually do it

It's even better as the show goes on, they explain how his upbringing was partially the cause of his disorder and how long it took him to get officially diagnosed. They even express how it affects his daily life and afterlife and how easy it is for someone with an intense case of schizophrenia can change your judgement when rationalizing good vs bad ideas and how hallucinations and delusions can clog your brain so heavily it can become hard to even communicate with people who don't have the mental illness
I’m so glad that The Santa Clarita Diet represents schizospectrum disorders accurately. Like how big life events and changes can cause outbursts of delusions and/or hallucinations rather than it just being an illusion for the sake of representation without explanation.

Shades of India found in NYC streets. I’m back for one full day, having landed at 6 am yesterday. After the sights and sounds of our highway trip to Delhi airport, NYC streets seem tame and grey, only the taxicabs sport bright yellow. Americans are by and large locked into black dull winter clothes. After 3 cups of high octane coffee, I walked five miles to Soho and passed these great Indian groceries on 28th street. And a vibrant two toned flowering plant which also reminded me of how much I miss India. Is cloning possible? Or just a scizoid bi-continental existence? I miss you, Indian colors; I miss you, Indian friends; I miss you, Indian food; I miss you. Thank you for being so soul stretching and filling that I now miss you so much!

3000 Years of Type Dis-Integration
“The present collective psyche of western civilization is schizoid; it has multiple personalities, splits that have occurred over the past three thousand years.” This statement was made by Bernard Sartorius a Jungian analyst and ordained Swiss Protestant minister, during a webinar broadcast from Zurich and California and hosted by the Asheville Jung Center on September 10, 2010, titled “Symbols and Individuation in Global Politics: The Case of Barack Obama.” His presentation led me to consider the typological implications of this split in western civilization: Is it possible to view civilizations through the lens of type? What can we learn about their successes and failures from a typological perspective? And what are the implications for us
