Underrated actor spotlight: David Hewlett

I’m so used to seeing him as David Worth in “Cube” that it was so weird seeing him play someone who actually smiled and was having fun, that character being Rodney McKay in “Stargate Atlantis”.

OH BOY ASTRO BOY

OKAY SO, THIS IS WAY OUT OF MY USUAL FIELD BUT I GOTTA SAY SOMETHING I grew up with Astro boy, the 2003 series I watched constantly, the movie that I watched constantly and loved with all my heart despite it not being a very good adaption movie.

BUT I MUST WARN NEW ASTRO BOY FANS AS I SEE THIS A LOT

*DON'T* EVER TRY TO LOOK INTO FINDING IF THERE IS A CANON FOR ASTRO BOY I WILL SAY IT HERE AND NOW THAT EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS SO ABSOLUTELY OBSCURE AND SPREAD OUT THAT THERE IS. NO. CANON. The only thing that is canon to Astro boy is that he is a robot boy created by a mad scientist named Tenma who tried to bring back his dead son and Astro was adopted by Dr. O'shay who goes by many other nicknames depending on which Astro boy media you grew up with and he goes around saving people. AND IF YOU THINK ANY BIT OF HIS DEATHS I WANT YOU TO SHUSH, RESPECTFULLY SHUSH THY BRAIN UP IMMEDITATLY. IT'S SUCH A SLIPPERY AND CONFUSING SLOPE THAT ISN'T EVEN WORTH IT TO EVEN TRY TO THINK OF AS CANON OR NOT, IT'S MORE LIKE AN ENDING THAT TURNED INTO A RETCON THEN SPIN OFF DOWNWARD SPIRAL. THE WORLD JUST UNIVERSALLY AGREED THAT HE JUST NEVER DIED IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WE LEAVE IT AT THAT. THERE IS A REASON WHY HARDLY ANYONE KNOWS HE HAS HAD DIFFERENT DEATHS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

So anyway good luck new Astro fans out there! ^^
