20's

Not many people talk about the fear of turning 20. The very fact that you're going to be an adult, suddenly the whole world changes, the perspective shifts like crazy. You don't know what's happening, what is going to happen, how are you going to get through college then find a job to survive, build connections with people when that social anxiety is tried to knock you out all the time, meet the expectations of the people around you. Suddenly everything that had been fabricated throughout childhood and teenage years, shatters. You come face to face with the reality of life, with the fact that no matter how scared you are, you have to be the one to take control of the steering wheel, no one would guide you or tell you what's right for you because who exactly knows what they're doing?

You have to become a professional in the field in which several people are already competing on a daily basis. Choosing the profession when you don't even know what is right for you and what's not, what if you feel like leaving it and it gets too late when you actually realise it? Would you be able to start something new from the scratch? What would the people around you think? Will they think you gave up or the very fact that you couldn't even get through with it.

All of the traumas hit you right in the back of your head and you start your life all over again after revisiting the memories, understanding stuff which was beyond your wildest imaginations in your teenage and childhood years. You'll have to deal with your emotions entirely on your own because you know why? Everyone is going through something or the other, so everyone needs someone who'll lend an ear to them but they kinda back off when it's their turn to listen.

You have to be the one to resolve all the stirred up emotions having no head or tail and finding yourself in a never ending puzzle. You need to be the one to get yourself out of it because no one else would do it for you.

You'll meet people from different backgrounds having different stories to tell. And you need to find your people amongst the billions of people. And sometimes you don't, sometimes you're too late to understand the people who were always there for you. Your friends might get cold with you and you might never even speak to each other again. So keep them close until they are with you.

Social media takes a toll on you are you not good enough? “ Do I need to wear something like this to be good even though I feel my best in those clothes, do I have to be like that to be liked by everyone? Even though I feel comfortable in my own skin? Do I have to be as good as the kid next door, or my friend or someone else to be liked and appreciated? Do I have to get something done in order to be appreciated and not isolated?”

I've thought about creating this blog for a while now bc I feel like a lot of people could be in the same boat that I am but maybe I'm too afraid to come to the conclusion that I'm losing it a tiny bit. Learning how to live in your early twenties is challenging on a regular basis. Not that its hard to live but it's hard to grasp what or where you're supposed to be rn. I struggle w it daily, I have days when I feel soooo negative but I also have days when I realize how much life I have to live and how maybe I can start changing my life around now. Bc it is how it works right?... But an overwhelming amount of thoughts rush to my head as to why it is such a big task to complete/perform in a way that is exemplary. I feel incomplete yet satisfied. WHERE DO U GO FROM HERE???? what does one do? I've tried the whole clean girl aesthetic and the whole eating books things bc I do love both but I'm not complete. I'm not whole yet. Going back to school might help me soon but I don't see that being the answer more of a booster for my career. A career I'm not sure I'm good in any way. I mean I am, my boss says it, and everyone around me says the same thing but I don't FEEL it yk? & I say that w anger bc how am I still not enough? & the whole bf & friends thing, let's not even get into it bc HOW?? I struggle to have both bc I don't even know who I fully am yet, I wanna be the best I can be in every aspect of my life but even when I am doing the most I don't feel like it's sufficient. I'm not doing my best and I know that but how do I get out of it? In my head im very self aware but do I act on it? negative. Weird gal, i know. anyways, I always said I'd write a blog so here I am but even though im not providing any answers to these questions I hope someone sees it and says 'hey that sounds just like me' bc I need to feel less alone in this. It is a 1st world problem I'm very aware but who knows, maybe somebody will read this n help me out.

Every night , anxiety and fear about getting older washes over me. Its not just aging that I fear, Its where I am in life that scares me. Turning 25 was not fun and every thing that I wanted to achieve by the time I turned 26 seem to be more distant than ever.
