scaramouche would be such a clingy bf when it's raining, just wanting to be in bed with you cuddling all day long. he's the type who would keep asking to watch animations and then look at you with bright eyes "we can watch this one right?". would keep running his hands in your back because is all in the physical touch — even though he isn't big on that kind of thing. he would keep kissing your forehead and cheeks, and when it's time to lunch/dinner he would just call for take-out so none of you would pass for the trouble that is leave the warmth and go to the kitchen. and god forbid it happens to be work day, he would be so shaken that everyone around him would notice his grumpyness.

Wanderer doesn’t hide the fact he likes Nahida

I totally get Wanderer being snarky is a funny punchline but sometimes I see Wanderer portrayed as being super snappy and mean in response to Nahida trying to be nice to him and I can’t help being like no!!!!!! He wouldn’t do that to her!! :(

Often people seem to think their dynamic is Wanderer being grouchy & mean & telling her to screw off all the time because he doesn’t want to admit he ~actually enjoys Nahida’s company~ but man like. Wanderer isn’t some edgy moody teenager that Nahida has to keep on a leash and scold regularly whenever he acts out—he’s a grown man who’s actually pretty emotionally perceptive/intelligent when he wants to be in my opinion—he’s just very blunt and cynical and often rude/harsh as a result

Wanderer hates sugarcoating his emotions & if him liking Nahida is majorly because he feels she’s proven it’s more or less safe to trust her, i don’t think he has any reason to hide the fact he genuinely respects her and as a result is regularly open about this when he interacts about her in canon. He may grumble about her requests or emotional earnesty because, well, it’s Wanderer, but imo if he were regularly snappy/mean to Nahida even in an “all-bark-no-bite” way we would’ve see them interact like that on screen already—but we don’t, and the fact that’s now how does treat her is a part of their dynamic I find very endearing and enjoy a lot—so I want to highlight it!

Like…look at how he talks to/about her even just going off of inversion of genesis alone:

I feel hes noticeably more cordial and cooperative with Nahida compared to say, Traveler & Paimon—he doesn’t try to intentionally provoke her for fun (or out of spite in the case of early IoG) the way he does with us/Traveler, both in Inversion of Genesis and Parade of Providence. He spends all of PoP intentionally trying to act suspicious/up to no good to mess with the Traveler & Paimon whenever we run into him—and then we get to the end of the event and find out Nahida just… asked him to monitor the event to make sure there wasn’t any trouble (+ wanted him to make friends LOL).

Like we literally see Nahida playfully tease him on screen and he doesn’t snap or get really grouchy with her…he just tolerates it like a mildly disgruntled cat

Which is…cute! I think it’s very endearing, especially when I don’t feel Nahida is usually playful like this unless she considers them an equal/friend—it feels like maybe she picks up on his energy a bit and adjusts her sense of humor/friendliness accordingly so it’s more intuitive/comfortable for both of them

Everyone jokes about Nahida dragging Wanderer into socializing and making friends right—which is true and something I think is very silly & fun, but again…while Wanderer may grumble about it I don’t think he’s actively mad or fighting with her about it even hyperbolically. Look at how he responds to Nahida telling him she wants to help him reach out to people in Parade of Providence:

This, combined with how he mentions feeling about Nahida not wanting him to isolate & be lonely in his birthday letter (“I can see that she was looking for a chance to make my life more fulfilling, but has she ever stopped to think about what an "experience" it is for others to meet me?”) gives me less an impression Wanderer is outwardly indignant and grouchy about Nahida trying to help him and more like…openly appreciative of the gesture but just doesn’t really think he’s worth the effort

I again think the specific way his responses to her trying to help him emotionally are always worded again show a distinct respect he has for Nahida as a person, and he seems genuinely grateful by the fact she gave him a second chance when, given how internally harsh Wanderer is about things and himself and how much he’s internalized expecting to be used or disregarded by others constantly unless he fights tooth and nail to not be, he probably didn’t expect any sort of grace at all post losing the gnosis, much less having someone seem to genuinely believe in him & want him to be happy/stable when he took said offered chance

I just think Wanderer is someone who cares a lot about being straightforward, especially about things that really move him emotionally, and think it’s really sweet he feels moved enough by Nahida’s encouragement & goodwill towards him to genuinely want to try with life. I get so sad when It seems like people think Wanderer is too like, emotionally immature or jaded to ever care to express how he feels about Nahida even in his own blunt, recovering nihilist way (when he explicitly does in canon IMO) and have him be snarky & grouchy to Nahida constantly, or believe he’d find her being good naturedly silly/childish annoying and scoff at her for it (people seem to think he hates children when he canonically does not and is quite fond of them!! I personally think some of that soft spot comes from finding childish earnestness + innocence kind of bittersweetly cathartic/comforting to see and would be something he’d actively like about Nahida!!) 😔

This is something I always try to portray in my own fanworks of them I just like it a lot, I want people to see the vision!!! Their relationship is very mutual on effort put in from both sides & Wanderer is more open about respecting Nahida than you may believe—which means he actively tries to acknowledge her kindness towards him and she doesn’t have to babysit him or drag him into cooperating with her all the time! And I find it very touching and sweet!

Ever wondered who from Genshin Impact would go to NRC? Here's a little list of who I think would attend NRC and what house + clubs they would be in. Scaramouche filled out his own form.

Lyney - 2nd Year, Heartsybul

Lyney is a popular second year in Heartsybul, lives in the Shaftlands with his mother and two siblings and he takes the magic mirror home every weekend to visit them. Might be as strong as Riddle but Lyney keeps his cards close to his chest. He gets along with everyone but has few close friends. Lyney loves to perform and is one of the few non-Pomefiore students to successfully audition for Film Studies Club. He's a great comedic actor but sometimes get the feedback from Vil that he's "hamming it up" too much. However, Lyney takes it all in stride after all he knows he's capable of being a great magician one day.

Heizou - 2nd Year, Scarabia

Best Subject - Magical Analysis

Club - Board Game Club

Dislikes - Doing homework on the weekends

Hobby - Word Puzzles

One of the few people Jamil can tolerate. Witty smart and well liked. Heizou gives Azul a run for his money in board game club, so much so that sometimes Azul "forgets" to tell him that they changed the club room for the day, or lies and says club was "canceled." and Idia avoids him altogether if possible. He aspires to be a detective at a magical law enforcement agency. Heizou studies diligently but also makes a lot of time for leisure and trips to the city. He's also a little obsessed with his magicam, he tries hard to cultivate a cool, aloof persona online but it comes off as a bit of an edgelord.

Childe - 3rd Year, Savanaclaw

From a small town on the northernmost coast of the Shaftlands. Got lost in the woods as a child and survived with a pack of wolves before he was found. Ajax is the first of his siblings to go to Night Raven College, his two older brothers went to Royal Sword Academy. Very driven and excels in magic courses however, he doesn't really prioritize other coursework. Constantly gets into trouble for starting fights on campus. He challenges Leona every semester for housewarden chair but hasn't come close to beating him. Ajax doesn't even want to be housewarden, he just wants to know he's strong enough to kick leona's ass. The enjoyment he gets out of fighting really is rather disturbing. One of the star players on the Spelldrive team, totally has what it takes to go pro.

Scaramouche - 2nd Year, Diasomnia

Prince of a distant land in the east. Worse mommy issues than Riddle. Kunikuzushi's a loner who performs flawlessly in all of his course work. He's also a brat who is often exceptionally cruel to his classmates, even for NRC's standards. He was really out of control first year but now he has mandated therapy and has since mellowed out. He's still not sold on this whole "friends" thing though. Started his own club called "the Genius Society" but claims that no one besides himself is smart enough to get in so club enrollment stays at one member. Kuni is going to inherit the throne of his home nation one day so he doesn't really worry about things like interships. Besides he doesn't have to try all that hard to do well.

Xiao - 2nd Year, Savanaclaw

Best Subject - Combat Magic

Club - Basketball

Dislikes - Noisy first years

Hobby - Fighting

Talents - Fighting

Starting guard on the basketball team. Aloof minds his own business mostly. His father is a famous lawyer and his mother passed away some time ago. His best friend boyfriend goes to RSA so he spends a lot of his free time away from campus but gets along well with Jamil and other chill students. However, Xiao never backs down from a fight and as a result Childe knows exactly who to go to when he wants a good bout. However Xiao releases a lot of his pent up energy through basketball, so he's just a touch more mellow.

Alhaitham - Professor of Ancient Curses and Dead Languages | Diasomnia (Formerly)

Faculty advisor for Malleus' Gargoyle Studies Club. Alhaitham was housewarden for Diasomnia some years ago, but after getting his advanced degrees returned to teach in the Social Sciences and Linguistic Department. He was one of Trein's favorite students, and he was in the same year as Crewel. They get along ok, Alhaitham is a bit dry for Divus' tastes and in Alhaitham's opinion Crewel is a bit conceited. If a diligent and fair teacher, but direct and sometimes appears callous, like all Professors at NRC.

Baizhu - Professor of Pharmacology | Pomefiore (Formerly)

Agreed to sponsor Jade's Mountain Lover's Club as long as he could get a cut of the rare forage that grows on the mountains. Baizhu is an alumnus and current science department faculty member a few years older than Crewel and Alhaitham. Baizhu largely keeps to himself. He doesn't want other people meddling in his affairs and possible...necromantic practices. Don't ask him what the rare herbs are for.

Tasteless Engine (1)

You always dreamed of being a doll maker. Since your tender childhood, they were always around you. To comfort you. To play with you. To hear you cry when no one was there. The dolls are pretty, and they were there. You lived in a small animated town. Everyday, the scent of fresh-baked bread would wake you up before going to the boutique. This boutique is a small cabinet, stuck between two big houses in a tiny alley. Your family supported you when you told them your dream, and you ended up being the apprentice of the best doll maker of the region (it is not a very popular job).

But one day, this sweet life stopped. The master you followed so whole-heartedly died, and they were no place in town to welcome you. So, after weeks of thinking about your future, you decided to buy a tiny bungalow in the Snowy mountains near the border of the country. There, you would create your own dolls and toys, and sell them in the nearest town, down the mountain. The weather would be harsh, but you had to do this.

And that’s how you ended up living there. Today is easily the coldest day of the winter, and you abandoned your work on the toys and dolls you will sell at the end of the week to snuggle in all the blanket you could find near the fireplace.

You are drinking your third tea in a row in hope to warm yourself a bit more. Your eyes are half-lidded with tiredness and you could not feel your limbs when a big “BANG” resonates in your ears. Alarmed, you leave your mug by the fireplace and quickly go check every room to assure that nothing is broken with the harshness of the wind, blowing and howling outside.

Nothing wrong.

Reassured, you walk back to the fireplace when you hear a lamentation outside, coming from the door. You freeze. You try to listen a bit better to those cries, when the tiny broken voice whines a heart-breaking “please” and you rush to the door to open it.

A bit of snow and cold wind enter your house. There’s no one at the door. You follow the directions of the cries and lower your eyes. They set on a humanoid thing laying on the ground, covered with snow. Your heart jumps and you clumsily grab the body to bring it inside the small bungalow and you quickly shut the door.

“Who are you?!” you shout, louder than you wished.

But the strange thing can only make weird cries and the sound of pieces of wood cliquing. Slowly, you walk toward it. You brush the snow and discover a huge puppet, messily wrapped in violet torn silk. You brush its long dark purple hair and realize that this hair is almost human-like. The puppet seems to act exactly like a human, so maybe it is cold. You put some of your blankets on the body. It groans.

After a some time, the unknown mass stops crying and sobbing, and you assume that it is asleep. Carefully, you step toward it, curious to see what exactly is this body. You delicately remove the torn violet silk, only to reveal a beautiful face covered by messy long dark purple hair. Their traits are well-defined, thin, elegant, and androgynous. They look like a teen, but their skin are white and virgin of any imperfection, glowing... Like porcelain. Your curiosity is picked, and you decided to touch his cheek (just a finger won't hurt, right?), which is strangely solid. You touch it again : you can't be wrong, what is laying on your floor is a human-sized porcelain doll.

Is it not a literal plot hole? Because idk if you remember, but revealing all the Harbingers was kind of a big f*cking deal. Everyone was there except for Signora (dead) and Scaramouche (mentioned)

And now apparently the 10th wasn't there either? why?!?

I see a few possibilities.

They're alive, just unmentioned (Unlikely. You don't use a 12th person reveal on a measly rank 10. Especially not without foreshadowing)

They're dead. (Possible, but you'd think they'd have mentioned it by now.)

Childe was ranked 11th just because? (Perhaps because he's that much younger and newer than everyone else) (Possible, but I don't know about this one)

That seats going to get filled over the course of the game, possibly by the Traveler. (Maybe. Probably the route they're going to go, if I had to guess.)

(And no, I do not subscribe to the theory that Crepus was a Harbinger. Owning a delusion is not as much of a smoking gun as people seem to think)
