Sirius Black x fem!reader ♡ 635 words

Sometimes walking at night can’t be avoided, but you don’t love it. Every shadow, every passerby who drifts too close, every bird taking off from a nearby perch, makes your heart race and the hairs on your neck and arms stick straight up like an army of useless soldiers standing at attention. A few blocks ago someone had swung open a gate, and you’d jumped into the street. 

You’re telling yourself you’re already halfway home, only a small ways to go, when—

“Stop there!”

Your entire body seizes up, and before you know what you’re doing you’ve hopped around on the spot, turning to face the threat with your hands held out in front of you as if to shove them away. 

Sirius only continues walking toward you from a good few meters down the sidewalk, one dark eyebrow raising amusedly. 

“Well, I was going to tell you off for walking by yourself at night,” he says, “but with reflexes like those it’s clear I’ve wasted my time. You’ve got it handled.” 

“Oh my god.” You cross the distance to him, giving your boyfriend a very heartfelt and somewhat desperate hug. “Don’t scare me like that!” 

Sirius bands an arm across your shoulders and palms the back of your head. He strokes your hair comfortingly. “See, that wouldn’t ordinarily be such an insane request, but I’ve found with you it’s actually quite difficult to avoid.” He presses his lips to the crown of your head, his teasing inlaid with fondness. “What do you think you’re doing walking around by yourself in the dark, hm?” 

You get the sense you’ve saved yourself from a much sterner tongue lashing by your fright at his arrival. You push this small advantage, pressing snugly to Sirius’ front and looking up at him with your best bambi eyes. “I’m just trying to get home,” you say. Your boyfriend looks like he knows what you’re about, but he smooths the baby hairs at your temple consolingly anyway. “Dinner at Marie’s ran long, and I didn’t want to spend money on a cab fare or anything like that.” 

“That’s what I’m for, darling.” Sirius squints his eyes at you. They glint in the low light, more playful than mean. “You’re supposed to call me when these things happen, not try your luck and hope for the best. Understand?” 

“Yeah, sorry.” You relent easily, more than happy to have him as an escort and as exceptional company. Sirius lets you go, starting in the direction of your place. “How’d you know I was here anyway?” 

“Saw you from inside the takeaway place a couple blocks back.” He casts a glance your way, mouth kicking up at one corner. “You looked like someone’s pet rabbit that had gotten loose. You’re definitely going to attract the wrong sort if you’re walking around looking all scared like that.” 

You laugh. “I don’t think I could have looked that bad.” 

“Oh, you’ve never looked bad. Just a tad flighty.” 

Sirius sets a sure hand on the small of your back and grins when you jolt. You loose a breath, shaking your head at yourself as a dizzy little giggle spurts out of you. 

“God, sorry.” 

“Who else was it going to be, sweetness?” he teases, sliding that hand to your waist and using it to tug you closer, into a rough sort of half hug. “You need to ease up. I’ve got you.” 

You lean into his side, doing an exceptionally poor job of feigning any reluctance. “And what’s going to stop someone from mugging the both of us?” 

“Oh, I’m not worried about that at all.” Sirius gives your waist an affectionate squeeze. “You’re quick as anything, baby. If someone comes for us, I know you’ll be out of here before I can even turn around.”

CHOSO

choso is just a bit calmer than yuji. his dates are more authentic, you can say. things like picnics, drive-in movies, top golf, aquarium trips, and fruit picking are choso’s ideas of dates. wherever he can just hold your hand and stare at you lovingly is great for him.

“woah choso, look! it’s the penguins!” you gasp, standing barely inches away from the glass of the enclosure. choso stands beside you, your fingers interlocked. suddenly, a penguin with a black stripe on his beak approaches the glass. it stares at the two of you with a blank expression. “oh my god, cho, it looks like you!” you squeal, facing your boyfriend. choso’s face flushed slightly. “no it doesn’t.” he pouts. “it has the same stripe on it’s nose. i think it’s cute.” you scoff, turning to look back at the bird. “y—you do?” choso stammers. “yeah, i do.” you nod, giving him a soft smile before pressing a kiss onto his blood mark.

RYOMEN

sukuna spoils you. he likes to act he doesn’t or as if he doesn’t like it but he does. he likes taking you to fancy or expensive places even when you tell him not to. places like nice restaurants, almost courtside seats at sport’s games, concerts, snowboarding, things like that. 

“ryo, come back!” you exclaim, struggling to find your balance. the pink haired man stands just a few feet ahead, watching you with an amused expression. “c’mon! don’t be a scaredy-cat, just come down.” he shouts. he stands on his snowboard confidently while you stumble on yours. you reluctantly push forward on your board. you glide down just for a few seconds before a squeal leaves you and begin tumbling through the snow, eventually landing at ryo’s feet. “get up, you’re fine,” he says, taking your hands and helping you up. you stare at him with a sad glare. “what’s wrong?” he questions. “you left me, asshole!” you scoff, hitting his chest. his coat protecting him from the blow. he sighs before grinning at you, shifting the black markings on his skin. “don’t be a baby, I was right here. want me to your hold your hand the rest of the way?” ryomen teases, cooing at you. “sure, whatever.” “i think you mean ‘thank you, ryo.’”

The Links at a Haunted House

It’s spooky season 👻🎃👻🎃

So that means it’s time to see how the Links are in haunted houses:

Time: deadpan. The entire way through. Jumpscare? I don’t think so I saw you coming a mile away. Everyone hides behind him. It’s debated whether the actors are scared of him. Stands in the back so everyone stops hiding behind him. Except for Warriors and Wind. He’ll let them hide behind him.

Hyrule: the hand-holder. Emotional support for everyone else. Not that scared personally, but helps the people who are terrified through.

Four: so into this shit. Is grinning the whole way through. Probably runs a haunted house in his backyard.

Warriors: the leader at the beginning, middle or end of the group at the end. Hyper-vigilant. Pretends not to be scared, is absolutely scared. Doesn’t help that his scarf seems to draw every actor in. Legend tells him to leave it at home but Warriors never does.

Twilight: Either an actor, or is leading the way through. Always holds Wild’s hand (Wild doesn’t need it, but it makes Twilight feel better about not losing anyone). Insists on the tried and true human chain technique. Somehow gets separated anyways.

Wild: Also into this. Came for the vibes. Will turn the wrong way if he’s in the lead. Don’t let him lead. Will be the chainsaw guy if he’s an actor and will love doing it.

Legend: Pretends not to be scared, is actually terrified. He doesn’t like the dark or loud noises. Has probably punched an actor before (he felt really bad about it afterwards). Never bring him to a haunted house, he Doesn’t Like It.

Wind: Everyone tries to convince him not to go since he’s still young, still goes anyways. Holds hands with Warriors, and everyone is surprised when he’s Warriors’ emotional support. Plays the same role as Hyrule: holds hands to help the others, but isn’t too scared himself. Except for bird attractions. Bird attractions scare the shit out of him.

Sky: Easy target because he seems like he’ll get scared the easiest. He isn’t. No one knows what scares him but it’s not haunted houses. Is the Number One Emotional Support Link for these sorts of things.

Shadow: The actor 100% of the time.

Ravio: Scaredy cat. Will cling to someone (usually Legend) the whole time. Will scream. A lot. Don’t let him or Legend in a haunted house together alone, there’s no guarantees they’ll be able to get out.

Honestly, he doesn't realize the feelings he has for you are anything but platonic for a longgggg time

He just thinks of an extra special friend. You’re really important to him, THAT'S why his cheeks turn faint purple when you compliment him, why he feels compelled to wrap his arm around you when you sit down, why when you hug him he has to shift his hips backwards to keep a certain part of him from poking you (ect)

Okay, he admits the last one is a little hard to explain

But the ghost was never taught about the ‘Birds and the Beetles’ by anyone but the internet and his own brain filling in the gaps, so there's many things he doesn't know in this area of his afterlife

But the thing that tips him off is that when he sees you his long-dead heart starts thumping in his chest very visibly (the way cartoon characters do when they first see the love interest)

After that revelation of his, he becomes a relentless flirt

Things like leaving dead flowers on your dresser

A lot of ‘AWOOGA’ noises with the eyes popping out and his tongue rolling out of his mouth, the whole shebang

Trying to impress you while off on an adventure (usually ending badly one way or another)

Please be patient with him

He's a bit of a scaredy cat, so he never comes out and says it himself

A lot of that has to do with the fact he isn't a well liked ghoul, sure you were sticking around now but if he tried anything… would he be left without ANYONE?

Luckily, his eyes do the talking for him If you reciprocate his affections in any way shape or form, his pupils morph into hearts

It’s adorable

One day he asks you if you’d come to the Neitherworld with him to see the Fireworks for Halloween (it's the Neitherworld, of course they make it a huge deal)

He shows up in your mirror 15 minutes late as usual, with a dead rose in hand; it looks like he actually combed his hair? No way.

All sorts of colors burst in the sky and somehow, without thinking his hand finds yours. It's cold and clammy, nails sharp and unkempt. It's wonderful.

“Is this a date, BJ?” You ask

His brain does the loading screen thing and he stutters “well-I-only if-do you-”

He’s cut off by you pulling him down into a kiss

A little love-drunk, he whispers in your ear ‘I LOVE you, Babes"

“I love you too, Beetlejuice.”

the boys got to walk around the pet store on their harnesses for the first time ever today and louis was a little scaredy baby but figaro LOVED it. he was a pro, he used the aisles and politely sniffed things and only climbed into one shelf but that made a family with little kids die laughing so it was fine and pretty funny. he also ate a bird feather off the floor 🤦 and he is crying his little heart out on the drive home because he's so sad that he got put back in the carrier again
