Now with all the Halloween asks I'm just thinking about costumes. One of the costumes that comes to mind is from an art piece I saw on Instagram. And now I'm just imagining Toji dressed as a scarecrow while the kids are little crows and the reader is just a farmer lol. Especially like a kid version of Megumi being a grumpy little crow lol. That's just like really cute in my mind's eye.

hmmm it might just be megumi's influence, but i simply cannot shake the belief that the fushiguro's are 100% werewolf loyalists each and every year. mostly because megumi will cry if he has to dress up as anything other than a dog, but also because toji would just look,,,, so incredibly good in a torn up flannel and who am i to deny that.

also!!! the geto clan has the whole angel/demon thing down to a fine art. i think he and mimiko would usually be the devils while you and nanako get to be angels, wings and halos and all, but the roles may be revered occasionally. as the girls get older and start doing their own thing, suguru would also definitely be an absolute pest for sexy halloween costumes - if you wear them ofc, but also if you suggest he take the mean girl's approach (i.e. animal ears and lingerie) to his outfit for your next halloween party. tell him you want to be normal, unsexy firefighters together, and he'll show up to your house shirtless with the shortest pair of shorts you've ever seen all like 'oh i thought the sexy was implied'. as if the sexy would ever have to be implied.

Proper post explaining my version of Jason Todd.

This au I have is where Jason was Red Hood but due to the two times he died and was later revived no longer patrols due to rather serious head trauma that he endured the second time before he died.

Yes this Jason did go through Joker killing him, yes he did get healed with the pit and trained for it but he still had some serious effects, aka occasional mobility issues as well as memory loss to name a couple, concerning the very serious blunt force trauma he had taken to the head thanks to the Joker.

The second time he died it was by pure accident due to Bruce being under a rather strong form of fear toxin (you can thank ivy and scarecrow for that new strain). No Jason doesn't blame him for it now that he knows what happened, but he does know that Bruce is incredibly guilty over being the reason why Jason died a second time.

Due to the second time dying, then later being revived properly by the pits, Jason was pulled off of doing anything to do with patrolling permanently, he does help out where he can on the sidelines and seems perfectly content in doing so.

At the moment Jason simply is just a normal kid, a 20 year old going through college to the best of his abilities while doing his best to support his family back at home base.

As for the physical attributes of Jason he has a full head of white hair, heterocromia (one green eye one blue eye, the left one [green] was forcefully removed thanks to Bruce then later being replaced by the pit when he ultimately got proper), has his autopsy scars among many many others, he's roughly an inch taller than Bruce though due to how badly his spine hurts most of the time appears shorter than Bruce by a couple inches due to slouching without the spinal brace he was given.

The name for the Au is honestly still a work in progress as is the whole au itself so bear with me on it lol and thanks for comin to my Ted talk.

Day 6: "Siblings"

Just the Noceda siblings enjoying their favorite holiday. Burning a scarecrow Belos. Totally normal behavior (lol).

This one took longer than expected, but was still really fun. This is my first time drawing Hunter and Luz (at least, Earth Luz) so I hope they came out alright. I also played around with shading and light sources because of the fire. But overall really fun.

How does Jon not overheat and collapse from heat exhaustion while in his Scarecrow get-up? Not only is he wearing heavy burlap, he also has his head completely covered, in fact all of his body is covered! I'd imagine it'd get pretty hot in there, especially with all the running around and spooking that it (the Scarecrow) does

i could make up an answer to this if i tried hard enough, but i have thought many times about the psychical plausibility of jonathan being able to achieve literally Any part of his 'dress up for hours at night as a 8ft tall scarecrow and run around the woods killing campers and idiots' schtick, and the reality is that, to be quite honest with you, there is no fucking way he would be able to do any of that in real life. like you said, how does he not overheat and faint?? when does he sleep?? how does he build up the strength required to run in that thing let alone walk around for several hours in the pitch-black wilderness, when he's thoroughly established to be unusually physically weak for legitimate medical reasons?? speaking of, what happens if he has a medical emergency in there? does he just fucking die??? there is some "it's batman, dude" style suspension of disbelief required to get onboard with this version of scarecrow. we are talking about a guy who routinely gasses people with a chemical agent that makes them Really Scared and he produces this agent in his own apartment on the salary of a high school chemistry teacher and the will of God i guess.

that all being said, as far as i have reasoned it out in-universe, dressing up as the scarecrow is just legitimately very physically taxing for jon. he probably had to build up his tolerance by putting the suit on for like, a few minutes, then an hour, then walking around in it in his own house, etc etc. i've mentioned this before on this blog but one of my favorite silly easter eggs of jon's story is that during this process he starts to feel better mentally and physically because of the unintentional exercise endorphins he's getting/extra muscle buildup starting to counteract his joint issues, but because It's Jon he's like "ohhh my god my patron the scarecrow is rewarding me for my loyalty by improving my health. clearly i must keep jumpscaring people in the woods at 3am". what a normal guy

personal kudos to the ones, who would recognize the song. i tend to like oddly ‘romantic’ songs for scarebat, bizarrely enough. prob bc i do believe, that deep down, jonathan is a spooked, scarred *but also clearly dangerous* creature, who secretly enjoys the times, when the dark knight saves him. too bad, that even bruce’s belief in ‘everyone can better themselves even a bit’ won’t ever reach home, but sentiment is still there. this is more, than anyone ever did for jon, regardless. 

either way, while i love btas an’ love their crane, i cannot deny that they kinda never explored his character. not like they did with harley, arnold, mister freeze, catwoman an’ others. it’s a shame, bc their crane was different enough from comics, while also not strayin’ too far away from it. they could have done interesting things there, esp in exploring how jon is always be a great fuel to batman. btas crane weirdly enough always seemed more rational an’ also more nihilistic compared to comic!crane. at least, this is how i see it. ‘nothing to fear’ is an amazing ep, still one of my favs not only for crane, but also one of my favs from the whole series, but it’s just too bad, that the rest of scarecrow’s eps weren’t really about him. he felt more like a plot-device in everything that came after. while i loved, the ep where bruce had to truly struggle to nearly be ‘defeated’, confusing what was real an’ what’s not…that was clearly his ep, not crane’s lol. so thinkin’ about btas crane is fun in ways, where he’s like a half-filled canvas. you learn more about him from writer’s notes, then from the show itself. 

but i do believe, that all versions of crane are basically pathetic, pinning fella, who constantly wants smth that he *supposedly* cannot have. an’ since he cannot have things normal way *or knows how to do it*, he does everything else, an’ try to get his hands on what he can. in this case, it’s batman’s glove. at first, he prob be silly about it, nearly gloating, bc wow, he got smth from the big bad bat, an’ wasn’t put into hospital afterwards. but then, it shifts an’ kinda has all sorts of effects. fun, rejection, fear, sadness, choking games. things are just never simple for jon lol.

MY CHEM APPRECIATION RANT!!!

i think my chem is special in a way where their music changes with each album. not saying other artists haven't done it, duh, but with my chem being my favourite band/artists i just gotta get this out there for them!

i think variety can be a musician's biggest strength, i'd personally rather four albums that sound on a scale of two-mildly-similar-sounding-songs to absolutely-night-and-day rather than four albums that sound all the same.

my two favorite albums are Bullets and Danger Days, again, night and day, but it still feels like my chem. all four members come together and write awesome lyrics, put great power and emotions into them and the instrumentals, it's fucking crazy. even with their single Foundations you can still see their skills still shine despite it still sounding different.

Summertime and Our Lady Of Sorrows are so different to eachother but i love them both so much, normally i wouldn't listen to songs like Scarecrow but since it's my chem the power in it shines through.

and it's not just the main four albums, it carries across to the demos too!

i remember putting Not That Kind Of Girl as a song of the day in a server, and someone actually liking it and being surprised it was my chem!! their variety in music genre and style is such a damn superpower. it's always fun to see people finally trying out a my chem song and being like "oh damn, didn't expect this to be good"!

i love my fair share of pop-punk and rock, but having my chem also have options of songs that are a little less that (sorry i'm not good with genres LOL) such as The World Is Ugly, S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, Emily, Early Sunsets Over Monroeville and Desert Song just to name a few - allows me to just cleanse my pallet while still being able to hear Gerard sing, y'know? and don't even get me started on their solo music, you'll probably see me making a Drugstore Perfume appreciation post soon.

and that's about it, i love my chem with almost all my heart and really wanted to get this out there, and remember don't attack people for what albums they like and dislike, it's all just a person's taste in music :D be free to reblog/comment and tell me your feelings on this, such as your favorite night and day songs!!

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale crossover with Yona of the Dawn. The happy hungry bunch meets Anne, Challe, and Mithril.

Yona and friends are magically transported into Highland.

The HHB try to pass as normal people but accidentally reveal their powers and present themselves as dragon warriors to Anne, Challe, and Mithril.

The HHB first think that Challe is like a dragon warrior with wings but then Anne explains that they are fairies.

Challe is surprised to meet such people with powers and warns them that they could be enslaved and more likely hunted and killed for their powers.

Jae-Ha seeing through Challe immediately and knowing he's in love with Anne. He procceds to flirt with her and Challe almost kills him. Jae-Ha is delighted because his reaction confirms that he's in love with her and wants to push him to admit it.

Jae-Ha admiring Challe's ethereal beauty and being engrossed with him. He asks him about his complete beauty treatment. Challe is deeply annoyed to say the least. Their meeting would be very similar to Hak's and Jae-Ha's. LOL. Challe: "He's a pervert, I've encountered some humans like that." Hak: "Oh yeah that's what I first thought. You should definitely punch him in the face." Challe punchs him and Jae-Ha says: "That hurt so good." LOL. Challe: "He's a weird one, some humans are like that." Jae-Ha: "I'm not a human, I'm a dragon."

Challe being done with the loud bunch and wanting to ditch them: "It's not my problem, bye."

Anne wanting to help them return to their world.

Yona and Anne bonding and forming a team. Yona could try to teach her archery and Anne says she's just a scarecrow that's only good at sugar crafing. Yona tells her how she was a weak girl but she got stronger and trained. Anne shows her about sugar crafting and how she helps people with it.

Yona and Anne having a sleepover and becoming besties. Anne: "Wow, so you have 4 dragons and Hak as your companions." Yona: "They're my friends, they agreed to join me in helping my kingdom." Then Jae-Ha butts in and says: "Anne chan, we could become your bodyguards if you want. You have a beautiful fairy warrior as your companion, and I approve, but the more the merrier, don't you think?" Anne is dumbfounded.

Jae-Ha also joins their sleepover, he fixes their nails and gives them facials. Anne is surprised: "I've never done this before." Challe is suspicious of him and watches him from afar. Hak reassures Challe: "Nah, he's harmless. But I also have the urge to punch him for his antics."

Mithril hanging out with the dragons and especially Jae-Ha, Challe has a migraine. Challe sighs and holds his head all the time at the HHB antics: "My head is going to explode. What a bunch of stupid idiots."

Jae-Ha taking Anne and Mithril on a flying trip. Challe is not happy. Making Challe jealous is Jae-Ha's new favorite pastime, after bothering Hak.

Jae-Ha tries to give some advice to Challe in the romantic department because he sucks. Jae-Ha is flabbergasted at his scarecrow jokes and intense lame trolling with Anne.

Hak and Challe end up bonding and are kind of similar tbh.

Jae-Ha flirts with Anne: "Do you want a kiss or a secret rendezvous, Anne-chan? Anne: "You're just like Challe!" Yona: "Hak is also like that."

Challe likes being around Shin-Ah because he doesn't talk. "Silence at last."

Zeno and Challe talking about long lifespans and immortality. Zeno is like: "Oh my sweet summer child, you don't know what suffering is yet." (Oops what have I done? Now I'm in pain. 😰)

They camp outside and Mithril bothers Kija by putting bugs on his bedding. Yoon scolds him and Mithril is afraid of him.

Jae-Ha is disgusted at slavery and says his famous phrase: "Taking away someone’s freedom is the ugliest thing one can do in this world. People like that ought to decay into dirt and come back as thorny roses." Challe agrees with it, although the poetic style is too much for him.

Challe calls them the Happy Hungry Idiots.

Challe likes sparring with them. "Finally people as strong as me."

Hak admiring Anne's bravery. "We have another princess."

Anne admiring that Yoon can control an unruly group like them. They cook together for everyone. Yoon: "Please forgive these wild bunch."

Not a request but can you tell me a bit more about your 1920s Jervis? Anything you want, I'm just curious !!

Sure!! I'm thinking of calling him Vintage Jervis if only as a pun to my name... So !! One thing is that to give him a 1920s-esque mannerism that's really bombastic and expressive-- causing a stark contrast to the very dreary and serious way he is without his hat-- he moves and especially fights like a wild tap dancing performer, which is why his shoes look that way, why he wears (extremely) long coat tails, why he has a cane, its all to add visual interest to how he moves and emotes.

And his outfit makes sense in context because by the time Batman would realize he's a villain he's made himself a very suddenly rich hat maker and he's kind of a very ritzy and eccentric millionaire type because of this. And so you get the fun of that and also that his mind controlled people can all dance in unison with him.

He's dancing mad, basically lol

But this is very different from normal DC Jervis Tetch, because Jervis is rarely charismatic and physically active in this particular way, right? ( I assume, based on what i've seen- ) And so this is the area where he's reimagined and sort of turned upside down. His hat gives him this incredible improvement of physical skill and dexterity, enough that he's a difficult fight in-and-of himself, even after his pawns are defeated, but this is a tradeoff with the added weakness that he is... immediately helpless if you can pry his hat off his head.

I would make you some kind of doodle of him in his dancing poses but I'm desperately trying to draw a Scarecrow ask, BUT here's a useful visual lol. And as you can see they're dressed very similarly to him!

Jervis finds you absolutely adorable.

Even though your sleeping habits are a bit cumbersome…

He's pleased to find that you actually pay more attention when you’re asleep than those who do when they are wide awake.

Which makes you incredibly helpful, he’s always amazed at the amount you recall.

You also know just when to be alert and awake, but of course, he knows that comes with a quick crash later. 

As your relationship develops, he does go an extra length to ensure you’re comfortable

Don’t ask where the pillows and blankets come from, he just HAS them on standby somehow.

(also no he totally didn’t kiss the top of your head, that was absolutely a ~dream~)

TNBA Mad Hatter:

Like other Jervi, he’s at first annoyed with your relentless napping.

However, he can’t deny you’re incredibly insightful for someone who normally snoozes away most of the time.

Whenever he thinks allowed while tinkering at something, you’ll mumble something he hadn’t considered. 

(kind of like Arkham, he’ll likely take the credit sometimes)

He does appreciate your input, he just has a hard time showing it. 

He grows to not mind your endless naps after a while.

Your soft snoring and mumbles are the only noise he welcomes while he’s working. 

Like BTAS, he is also likely to make sure you’re most comfortable when you’re sleeping.

Gotham Mad Hatter: 

Most likely to try and keep you awake for as long as possible before giving up.

And inevitably trying again later or the next day.

You’re extremely lucky you look cute when you’re sleeping.

Jervis is likely to shake you or gently pat you upside your head to wake you up.

He does let you sleep some days.

But if he’s particularly hyperactive about something or someone he wants your full attention. 

You do surprise him sometimes when you talk in your sleep.

Sometimes you intentionally say questionable things in your sleep just to get back at him for all his interruptions. 

Harley Quinn: TAS Mad Hatter:

This Jervis is most likely to be like his literary counterpart. 

Don't be surprised if you wake up to see tea being poured on your face.

Or if you felt some flicks to your temple. 

Don't worry though, he'll gladly wash your face or kiss wherever he afflicts you. 

Jervis will insist it’s because he knows no better alternatives to wake you.

Jervis relies on you to remind him of a lot of things.

Jervis cherishes you. 

You’re so calm, quiet, and gentle…so opposite to what he’s used to. 

You are something of an emotional support dormouse. 

You always wake up just in the nick of time to help him from relapsing. 

This Jervis is most likely to genuinely nap with you sometimes. 

When Jervis sleeps next to you, it’s usually the best sleep he gets. 

Jervis actually dreams happy dreams for once…

He can see a storybook ending where he can have hats, tea, and a loyal dormouse by his side. An ending where he’s happy.

Secret Six Mad Hatter: 

I hope you don’t have many boundaries, cause Jervis will break them whilst you are asleep. 

Don’t be surprised if you stir awake to five hats somehow balancing on your head. 

Or his arm propped up against your shoulder or his head leaned up against yours. 

You’re also kind of like an emotional support dormouse for Jervis.

All he’s ever wanted was a companion, and he’s found a reliable one in you. 

He doesn’t mind your incessant sleeping, he just rolls with it. 

Jervis knows he has his quirks and you have yours, and what luck you so happen to relate to the dormouse of all characters!

And just cause this Jervis is the most canonically naughty than the others, if you’re down he has no qualms about somnophilia

Oh! I forgot to respond! Anything would be cool for you to share. I love your headcanons for Scarecrow so anything like that?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm more shy about sharing Hugo headcanons, because we get very little canon information about pre-crisis Hugo (the Hugo I base my version on). With characters like Jonathan, who got an actual backstory, hobbies outside their gimmicks and what not, you have something to build your own headcanons around. You can come up with something, that wasn't in the original text, but that makes sense given what we know about the character. The headcanons are plausible and connected to canon, even if by a very, very thin thread. No such luck with Hugo. Because we know nothing about him, nearly every headcanon feels like it was pulled out of nowhere. It's not based on anything, because there's nothing to base it on. Coming up with headcanons for Hugo doesn't feel like expanding on an existing character, it feels like coming up with an OC.

So I'm a little shy to share the headcanons that are ”out there” to me (i.e. things with no canon basis), but I guess I can scrap together something lol xDDD I'm sure we all remember the iconic quote ”I am a model of mental health!” from Gotham Knights #8-11 ”Transference.” Even if you haven't read the story, you have surely seen this panel floating around:

And I like it. It's a funny line, but then there's also this exchange from Batman #356 ”The Double Life of Hugo Strange”:

Of course these are two different continuities, one pre- and one post-crisis, but it's still interesting how differently two people can write, what is supposed to be, the same character. The attitudes the different versions hold toward their mental health are like night and day. Usually in moments like this, I would simply pick one of them for my own verse, but this time I loved them both so much, that I just couldn't choose and so for a while I wondered how I could somehow have them both. I solved it by deciding that over time, Hugo's attitude toward the subject would change. It goes from ”I am a model of mental health!” to ”Does it matter?” In my verse, he begins to struggle with his mental health around his twenties. Back in the day, I used to headcanon he didn't start having symptoms until in his fifties, around the time we meet him in my verse, but I figured it works much better, if it started at a younger age. So, he has manic episodes. In his twenties, they weren't very severe yet. He did have a couple short hospital stays a few times when it all started, but symptoms really cleared up after finding the right medication. The hospital stays, however short they were, were not easy for him, though.

At first, he would try to deny there was anything wrong and that bringing him to the hospital was a mistake. The doctors would disagree, though, and after a week or two on medication, Hugo too would start to see that the way he had been acting wasn't normal. This is all very difficult for him, because he's a high achiever, a perfectionist. He needs to be the smartest, the strongest, the most powerful. He needs to be in peak psychical and mental condition at all times. He had a lot of great goals in life that he wanted to accomplish and ending up at a psychiatric ward most certainly wasn't one of them. It was a huge blow to his self-esteem. It really shook the mental imagine he had of himself. I'm sure he thought that mental illness is something that happens other people, people below him and so this was a bit of an identity crisis. I don't think he ever even thought about the pain the actual symptoms had cost him, all he ever thought about, was the pain to his ego brought on by the stigma of mental illness. I think another element that made his stays difficult, was that he was in med school at the time. It felt wrong to be the patient. This is not the position he had been studying for years to reach. I can just imagine young Hugo screaming at his psychiatrist: ”I am a model of mental health!”

Over time, however, especially after the medication proves so effective that Hugo can almost forget that he ever had episodes in his life, he would begin to accept the diagnosis, but only as a thing of the past. Something that he beat. He would still not be open about the diagnosis. If anybody ever asked him where he had been during those hospital stays, he would think of some convenient lie. Regardless, I think it is his own experience with mental illness combined with his general interest in the human mind that inspires him to specialize in psychiatry. I also think that he's stance on mental illness and mentally ill people would also soften. It has to, really. If he thinks mental illness only happens to those below him, does that mean he himself has now sunken somehow? Become less because of this? In his late forties, when Bruce has become Batman and Hugo is arrested for the first time, his symptoms would start breaking through his medication. In these stressful situations his episodes would become more severe and start lasting longer. Since Batman was the first person to expose him and bring him down, he makes it his next goal to destroy him. It's really the only thing he can do. There simply cannot exist a person better than him, because he has to be the best. Also, he cannot let someone who humiliated him so live to tell the tale. And on a more practical level, he simply can no longer pull any larger jobs in Gotham City with Batman around, so getting rid of him becomes a necessity. It's during these fruitless struggles to beat Batman, that he starts experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time. Around this time he also discovers Batman's identity and dons on the cape and cowl. At this point, he is about 50 and is admitted to Arkham for the first time. Ending up in prison was bad enough. His license to practice medicine was taken away, he was exposed to the world as a criminal and a heinous person, but it was still only prison. Prison couldn't take a way his believability among other criminals. Arkham is different, though. Ending up in the city worst ”nuthouse” not only made him lose respect and status among criminals, but also in his own eyes. It was an incredibly hard blow to his ego. Twice as hard as ending up at a psychiatric ward in his twenties.

At this point, he had been a psychiatrist for many years. If it was difficult for him to be the patient in med school, imagine how difficult it is for him now, especially when he now finds himself the patient in the exact field he specialized in.

And just as in his twenties, he would have to re-think his opinions on mental illness, and once again, the re-thinking comes from necessity. After the new medication helps him see things clearly again, there is no denying the fact he had been experiencing psychotic symptoms. What kind of a psychiatrist would he be, if he still tried to deny it when it was all so clear? He really came up against a wall here. His only options were to lie down and die or accept it and move on, to ask the world, to ask himself: ”Does it matter?”

Their whole thing is that they moved to Gotham, right.. initially being from the Midwest and so they're there as an Embalmer for the GCPD. They end up picking up a side gig as a body disposal service for Gotham's criminal underbelly just like. Completely by accident. They did it once for Penguin but after that it's what they became Known For and like they'd get shady mfs at their door like. 🕴️ we got a job for ya and they're like. 😔 I guess this is what I do now ⚰

They don't kill anybody they just take care of a deed that's already been done, in exchange for money and favors they can cash in. They consider themselves a "Modern-Day Charon" bc of the morbid but neutral role they play.

EVENTUALLY they decide they want to do a little more with themselves and one thing leads to another and . . . they get into experimenting w/ reanimating corpses specifically after modifying a sample of Jonathan's fear toxin into what they call Vie (short for Vie a la Mort bc they're fake french). It bites them in the ass and they die and then are brought back with their own creation and now they're The Cooler Irene

ABOUT IRENE AND JONATHAN:

if I were to like generalize instead of basing it around pre-existing comics .. I'd say Irene and Jonathan probably met at something like a gala/charity event that Gotham University was hosting and members of the GCPD were invited to including Irene bc Jim Gordon was like. We have got to get you out of that morgue and socializing spending all that time around dead bodies isn't good for you. And they're just like. Ok 😗👍

SO THEY MEET JON AT THIS PARTY that they're both like half-heartedly attending for one reason or another. and they're like wowww.. this guy's weird (twirling hair). Theyre talking to eachother getting along well. And well since Irene doesn't know abt Scarecrow and (at this point) Jon doesn't know about Undertaker they're both just kinda thinking to themselves - this guy's definitely hiding something.

SO IT'S THIS STUPID LIKE. ROMCOM ASS DEVELOPMENT of them gradually spending more and more time around eachother falling in-love in the process being in denial about it ETC

and then one Halloween. Irene's first Halloween in Gotham there's a fall festival that Jonathan had invited Irene to and they're like oh hell yeah. They dress as a plague doctor with a small twist that ends up saving their ass (the mask actually functions as a mask) so they go and they're waiting for Jonathan just chillin and then BOOM there's a scarecrow attack and everything's in shambles around 'em there's people screaming and what not. Except for Irene who like in the midst of it all sees Scarecrow and their ass FALLS IN-LOVE thinking he's just a scare actor

They just kinda go home after like wow what a wild night lol. and then they hear police sirens outside at where the festival was and they're like . I'm starting to think that whole ordeal wasn't part of the festivities.

SO they see a news segment talking about a scarecrow attack and they're like scarecrow.... AND they rmbr how they hadn't seen Jonathan that night and it's not like him to no-show esp not when he made the plans so they're connecting the dots like . . . Uh oh 😨 ( <- experiencing heart palpitations but brother it's not fear)

SO THEY JUST. HAVE TO GO ON PRETENDING THEY DONT KNOW SHIT LIKE ahh damn jonathan shame I didnt see you last night. Yeah no I wasn't even there I had to feed my fish.

AND THENNNNN as Undertaker they have scarecrow as a client once and they're normal about it. like maybe he doesn't know. and then it happens again shortly after but this time they're like 🤨 this body you want gone isn't even fresh man the rove beetles are getting to it it's been out for atleast a week and Scarecrow's like. How would you know that if you weren't involved in the forensics or perhaps even mortuary field. Irene. and they're like FUUUUCK 😭

it is up to me to be a hater .... I can't understand the giant babydoll being the centerpiece for LN3 ... I've been so confused at its constant presence in advertisements, and then as a big sculpture at gamescom ??? I did not think it was such a central fixture? I hope it isn't actually but I'm not sure why all the fanfare at the booth for it if it ISN'T important..... ? I've been hoping it's just some early game thing, I mean as much as the Teacher or Chefs featured prominently in LN 1&2 advertisements early on, since we can't spoiler toooo much... big baby, oh I'm curious how they can even justify it symbolically or representationally, from my position I am struggling with how or why they came up with this for the world as it is. I think of the LN world as... being inhabited by corrupted or twisted humans, nigh exclusively, and the horror is always coming from those strange, contorted bodies which are familiar. As a result of that you don't even have nonhumans as enemies (outside of leeches) and what exists as set dressing is not grotesque (normal rats, mice, crows)... you don't have things like, giant spiders, giant dogs, nor things like haunted jack-in-the-box or haunted knife flying at you.

Was the giant baby a person. Will it be a person. Is it a representation of a person. These are my questions lol. How will it serve the theme. What is the theme. We do not know yet lol

BUT BEYOND ALL OF THESE CONSIDERATIONS!!!! Because well we don't know lol. I HAVE TO SAY IT JUST IS NOT SCARY LOOKING... and it is not interesting...! To look at....! Its like something scary in a Rugrats episode. Might as well be a big scary snowman. Or scarecrow. Like why ..... ridiculous. Such a bizarre choice... !

I'd say what makes the Lady & the Thin Man scary by the time they appear, is their relatively stable human appearance gives a sense that they are more in control or capable than anything else you have faced.. they are not simple beests or things you can guide off a cliff or scamper around the ankles of. the scariest thing is less something monstrous, and more something human.

Jack Skellington - Probably my number 1 when it comes to self-identifying characters. Aside from being tall, lanky, and loving Halloween, I tend to get curious pretty easily about things and like to, like many, hyperfixate on things for a good long while. Friendly and good to his people, with maybe bit of weirdness for good measure - me to a T, always!

Hideki Motosuwa - the actual crown prince of anime protagonists, you can fight me on this. Hideki is just a good lad, I've always admired how the most normal of dudes is out there just doing his best for the robo-girl he picked up off the streets. Bit of a goober, kinda gets hit with "The Horny" from time to time, but means and does well at the end of the day.

Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow - if Jack is my heroic side, Scarecrow is the villainous counterpart. Equally as gangly and spooky, but with an even greater desire for the creepy and the macabre. Was also bullied a wee bit as a kid, so seeing a supervillain take his revenge on his former aggressors really hit when I started getting into comics.

Honda-San - anyone who's worked retail can relate to Honda, imo. The day-to-day stress of the 9-to-5 grind can really get to you, but you also gotta appreciate the few good instances like cool coworkers and respectable patrons - however few and far between they may be.

Ruler - With every passing year, I kind of get more snippity, more annoyed, just all around more crabby. I have a low tolerance for ignorance, failure, and unkindness, and most ESPECIALLY not being given the respect and dues I feel I've deserved, especially when it came to working retail in the funny haha 2020 era. Ruler embodies what happens when a hard-working individual is pushed down and the resulting animosity that arises from that kind of treatment.

Scanty - Kind of a stickler for rules, can let little things build up and annoy me, and I won't lie, kind of developed a bit of a temper over the years. Is why I find her so pretty though ooooooo

Youka Naze - Youka represents a lot of what high school me used to be like. An overworking studier who put their all in their work but would get frustrated when it didn't amount to the results that I wanted. Just a lot of pent of angst and nihilism that, while I don't feel any more, DID exist in me a long time ago, and I related to it a lot so it'd be foolish not to include her as someone I DID once relate to strongly in the past.

Patchouli Knowledge - Mostly in regards to her status as a librarian, which is what I am! I like chill, relaxing, quiet atmospheres, and so long as you abide by the rules and keep it down, we can be chill. I'll get snippy if you don't.

Kobayashi - Again, usually pretty chill but do very much care for those close to me. I can be reserved and professional but the moment you get some drinkie-drinks in me I can be a bit of a goofball, all the ready yap your ear off with an interest or 12 of mine.

Harvey Bullock - I swear I'm usually not so angy, but... you know the world just kinda makes me mad lol. Harvey's sarcastic, drop-of-a-hat temper flows into me whenever I get behind the wheel of a car. I BECOME Bullock. Also a bit of a foodie, always hungry.
