Blazeblue request: If your ok with it, can you write relationship headcannons for F!Ragna and a M!S/O?
Thankfully Ragna's got protag privileges when it comes to fanart. Whitehorse made the banner completely impromptu, the absolute madlad.
Also fun fact, did you know that Ragna is an actual name that's originally feminine? It's a Scandinavian name so you probably won't actually meet anyone with it. In Blazblue's case though, it's likely a reference to Ragnarok in Norse Mythology.
-Poor Ragna has absolutely no romantic experience. Growing up in a church and then being raised by an anthropomorphic cat whose wife was yeeted into the great beyond will do that to you.
-She's extremely hesitant to let you join her when she goes out to destroy the cauldrons, she can't afford to risk losing anyone else she cares about.
-She does eventually relent and let you join. At least that way she can keep you close to her, which may be for the better considering the target likely to be on your back by proxy of hers.
-On the bright side though, you can think of it as a way of travelling, getting to see the world outside of wherever you were born and Jubei's "abode", if you can even call it that. Try bringing this up to Ragna though, and you'll only get a scoff in return. Half amused, half annoyed.
-She's definitely got a bit of tsundere-ness in her like her brother. She'll chew you out when you do something dangerous, it's how she expresses her worry. She doesn't really know how to worry like a normal girlfriend.
-Speaking of Jin though, you're gonna have to deal with his never-ending jealousy/rage when you happen to meet him. There's no avoiding it. He can target Ragna all he likes but if he dares point his blade in your general direction she is going to pound his ass straight back to the Azure.
-She's extremely protective in general, she'll often patrol around the area where you set up camp for the night to make sure nothing is there, aggressive wildlife, scouting NOL soldiers, or otherwise.
-There aren't a lot of chances for intimacy, the kind that's normal for two people dating. When the opportunity does come around though, Ragna can actually be surprisingly soft. It's around you that she can finally relax and not have to worry about putting on the tough attitude.
-It's in moments like those where you realize she really isn't all that aggressive by nature. She has to be if she wants to protect the people important to her, and you're no exception. In fact, you're really the only person that gets to see her be vulnerable like this.
-Of course you're both going to face endless teasing about your relationship. Rachel, Jubei, Kokonoe, and Kagura in particular are all going to give you varying degrees of shit.
-Rachel's going to ask you what made you fall for such a "lowly, unladylike creature" with a shit-eating grin on her face, much to Ragna's chagrin, while on the other end of the spectrum Jubei's just going to playfully tease you two like a dad watching his kid in a relationship. He won't give you the ol' warning about breaking her heart spiel, it's not needed with Ragna of all women. If you cross her she'll fuck you up herself.
-Your relationship with Ragna is really the only semblance of normalcy she has left in her life. You're her tether to reality, a comforting presence that keeps her sanity from truly slipping. Though of course she probably won't be saying this out loud.
-She'll be damned before she lets the NOL, Sector Seven, or God forbid Terumi get their filthy hands on you. You're the only person who can truly see her for who she really is deep down, past the sardonic, hotheaded exterior.
-When she takes control of the Master Unit, you're the one at the forefront of her mind above everyone else that she creates the new world for. Deep down her heart is breaking at the fact that you can never see each other again, and that you'll never even remember her and all the shit you had to go through together. Even at the fact that in the new world you'll probably find someone else.
-But...that's fine. Ragna knew what she was signing up for, and she knows it needs to be done. For the people she loves. No matter how much it hurts.

WOOD MONKEY COLLECTION BY KAY BOJESEN
The Wooden Monkey, designed by Kay Bojesen, is a beloved classic of Scandinavian design. A little Monkey with the great personality which has come to signify a gift from a very special person. For christenings, birthdays, school leavers and weddings. A classic and a dear friend for life – from being a popular toy in the playroom to a much-loved design icon in a future home. Bojesen's monkey with its mischievous look and light coloured belly has transformed kids’ rooms into jungles and sparked dreams of far-away places since 1951. It has a permanent role on Danish television as the mascot of wildlife programs and as a prize in quiz shows. Every monkey consists of 31 wooden parts and is crafted by hand in Denmark. Due to slight variation in shade and wood grain, the monkeys have a unique and charming personality.

Tom was named after Brazilian musician Tom Jobim, one of the writers of the song "The Girl from Ipanema" (along with Vinicius de Moraes, the namesake of Olympic mascot Vinicius). Vinicius's design represents Brazilian wildlife, combining "the agility of cats, sway of monkeys and grace of birds." The character's arms and legs can stretch unlimited distances. Vinicius's mission is "to spread joy throughout the world and celebrate the friendship that flourishes between people from all over the world" at the Olympic Games.
Sondre is based on the trolls depicted in Scandinavian folklore. The one-legged skiing troll was created as a result of a nationwide competition among schools, with the winning design handed in by Janne Solem. In a separate competition, the name “Sondre” was chosen for the Paralympic mascot as a reference to Sondre Norheim, one of the pioneers of modern skiing.
Sumi was the mascot for the 2010 Winter Paralympics. He is an animal guardian spirit with the wings of the mythical Thunderbird and legs of an American black bear who wears a killer whale-like hat in the artistic style of the Haida people.

Following your blog has genuinely brought me so much joy so I wanted to say thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures. Scandinavian wildlife is amazing.
Thank you so much! I've been here on tumblr for ten years come April and when I posted that first picture of a flower in 2013 I never could have imagined that I would still be posting pictures a decade later. And you know, I think I enjoy it even more now than I did back then. I'll never tire of birds, squirrels and deers and as long as I can hold a camera I'm sure I will keep on documenting everything I see. Thanks for following me on my journey! And yes, Scandinavian wildlife is amazing, as is wildlife in general. Mother Nature rocks!

ARENDELLE
The Kingdom of Arendelle is situated in a stunning and rugged landscape, characterized by towering snow-capped mountains, dense forests, and sparkling frozen lakes. The kingdom's landscape is marked by its harsh yet beautiful winter conditions, with a consistent chill in the air and a layer of snow covering the ground. The capital city of Arendelle is located at the foot of a vast fjord, surrounded by steep cliffs and icy waters. The surrounding forests are home to a variety of wildlife, including reindeer, and the overall landscape of Arendelle is one of breathtaking beauty and tranquility.
The Castle
The castle in the kingdom of Arendelle is a grand and intricate structure, designed with a blend of Scandinavian and French architectural influences. It features a large main building, with several wings and towers extending from it, creating an expansive and commanding presence. The castle is made of snow-white stone, and its exterior is adorned with carved details and ornate decorations. Its location on the fjord provides a picturesque backdrop, with its spires and turrets standing out against the landscape. Inside, the castle boasts opulent rooms and halls, housing the royal family in style.
A Bit of History
The kingdom of Arendelle was founded by a group of settlers who arrived on the shores of a mysterious fjord, seeking a place to call home. Led by a brave and determined leader named Agdar, the settlers worked together to tame the harsh and rugged landscape, and over time, they built a thriving kingdom. They named their new home Arendelle, and it quickly became known as a place of great beauty and hospitality. As the years passed, the kingdom grew in strength and prosperity, becoming a shining beacon in the cold northern lands.
The Ruling Family
Arendelle is ruled by King Agnarr and Queen Iduna.
Next in line is their oldest daughter Princess Elsa followed by their youngest Princess Anna.
Festivals and Holidays
The people of Arendelle celebrate several festivals and holidays throughout the year, each with its own unique traditions and significance. Some of the most noteworthy occasions include:
Winter Solstice Celebration: The people of Arendelle mark the winter solstice with a celebration of light and hope, featuring bonfires, traditional songs, and heartfelt gatherings.
Spring Festival: This celebration marks the arrival of spring and the return of warmth and growth to the land.
Other Bits
The Kingdom of Arendelle is home to several hot springs, which are caused by geothermal activity beneath the surface. These hot springs are a source of wonder and intrigue to the people of Arendelle, who believe they have healing properties and beneficial effects. One notable hot spring is located in the forest, hidden deep within a cave. The waters are known to glow at night, casting an enchantingly beautiful light across the surroundings. The hot springs are also associated with a local legend, suggesting that the waters have mystical powers that can awaken something deep within one's soul.

Hello friend!
11, 12, 21, 23 for the ask game :3
A rare moment when I, Lyndis, reblogs an ask game and don't say shit like DON'T ASK ME I HAVE NO TIME TO WRITE A RAMBLE and THIS IS FOR MY MUTUALS TO REBLOG SO I CAN ASK YOU.
12- What do you want to be remembered for when you die?
Honestly, I don't mind not being remembered for anything, since I'm more interested in my actions than other people's memories of me.
I favor people remembering me in occasional snippets, flashes of memories simply because some actions or experiences reminded them of me than everyone trying to make sense of who I was only after I died.
I remember people this way, too; plenty of stuff that happens now will remind me of someone—no matter how distant they were. They could be my friend for those few hours while we were in that children's park, or a stranger I just happened to be staring at as something happened, or a person who had wanted to befriend me but didn't know how to bridge the gap because I was so weird.
I will remember the event(s) that involved them. And then the current me will have new appraisals and understandings of that person in this memory. Many of these random people are still alive (I guess through statistics! Ahahah!), but they are already remembered because their actions meant something—for good or ill, and sometimes, both—to the me of that time.
So I prefer that. I don't want to be remembered as the person I am at the time of death. I want to be remembered as the person I was at a snippet of time because of a deed I've done. Good or bad, it's fine.
---
Wow, I am already writing a loooooong one. BUT YOU EXPECTED THAT, DIDN'T YOU?
MORE UNDER THE CUT.
21- How would you dispose of a body?
Hey, wait a second. What makes you think I will ever need to do this?! I need to read up on the literature, put out a Microsoft Excel sheet on bibliography and citations, and then write a thesis to come up with a good way of disposal. You can't just spring this one on me!
I think I will dismember it and store the parts in vacuum bags separately to throw them away (without the bags because they don't decompose). Feeding it to wildlife at the bottom of a canyon or high in the mountain is great, but I don't have that sort of place nearby.
If I have the money, I will do it the normal way. Funeral homes and cremation.
Hmm... If I live in Scandinavian countries, body disposal might be an easier feat given the vast forests. At least, that's what Nordic noir films and drama say. Also, if I were to live in those countries, I don't think I'd resort to murder to solve my problems, cause' I kinda think violence is the means of the incompetent (and sometimes, the choiceless). Yea, I don't think I'm the type to kill for pleasure.
---
23- Would you rather be burned at the stake but die a saint beloved by all, or die peacefully but have nobody remember you?
Oh! Hmm. Again, since I don't mind not being remembered the way most people conceptualized "being remembered" (see my answer for Q12)... the latter isn't bad at all.
This is particularly because this question didn't preclude the latter from also being helpful and benevolent to the people who live around them or even performing deeds that go a long way toward helping a lotta people. They just don't get burned at a stake. Or be recognized as a saint for their work. Aye, that's not bad at all!
In the case where the sorta things I want to do—or the deeds worth doing—deadass ensures a fate at the stake as a beloved saint, and there's absolutely no way out of this?
Urgh, fine. But I will definitely be complaining. Even my AAHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHH FUUUUUUUCKKKK will have tonal inflections so you know I died complaining. I will go out noisily.
It's kinda funny, but I'm now wondering which feels more embarrassing to me. The fact that I'm tied to a stake for this fiery punishment, or the fact that I'm somehow a saint and everyone loves me. Bruh?
I'm telling ya, both make my cheeks burn. The former does that literally once the pyre starts, though.
---
11- When’s the last time you cried?
The last time I cried was Monday night.
Now, you might wonder why. I will tell you because I don't want you to be worried. But there's a reason why this is the last one. I won't be graphic, and it's ultimately—objectively—very ridiculously trivial, but it may be triggering to people with OCD. Which Future Lyns are.
I tried to be Bob the Builder but ended up hurting both of my thumbs because it turned out, I am Blud the Bozo ("Can we fix it? Yes, with BLOOD!"). One of them was a stab wound, and the other was a cut on the print.
I... I have problems with gashes and cuts. Let's just leave it at that.
This wound didn't even bleed; it was just a dermal cut. Anyway, I got it wrapped with a normal plaster.
When it got to the evening, the plaster came off because I was doing the dishes. I heal quickly, so I thought it must have healed. I didn't look very carefully because I can't stand looking at cuts.
While watching a show with my sister and cousin, my thumb suddenly became itchier and itchier. It became painful, but the itch-pain ratio kept changing. I tried to ignore it, and then I couldn't. It became so overwhelming that I was clutching my hand with another as though I was Kakashi Hatake about to do a Chidori.
My sister was like, "BRO, JUST GET IT DRESSED UP, JESUS."
So I told them to continue watching while I went upstairs to my room, where the first-aid bag was.
Then, suddenly, I fell to the floor and started bursting into tears. Legit just sobbing so hard. It wasn't the most painful shit in the world; brutha I have menstrual cramps that can knock me out in public to the diners' horror. This was just itch-pain.
But it's the imageries, yea? That it will be torn open because I would do that. The pain was me tearing it apart! Even though I did no such thing. I pulled my thumb as far away from my other hand because I was afraid that it was true, but it was still itchy and painful and enticing me to rip it, but I didn't want to do that at all, ya know?
I realized that I couldn't even control my body well. It was shaking. My fingers were trembling uncontrollably. The floor was wet with my damn tears. I was just whimpering, man.
Now, the one thing I'm proud of is that my brain has its autonomous zones. The metacognition regions of my brain are fucking ripped, bro. They can operate even when I'm about to black out or close to being compromised (unless I got knocked out by anesthetics). So yea, these regions weren't overwhelmed, so I still remembered what to do. I struggled to get the bag and dropped it instead of putting it down. I did my best to open the zip and pulled out the antiseptic cream tube. Unscrewing it was so hard but finally, I got it!
My fingers were trembling so much, just squeezing a peanut-sized cream was tough. It was hard to aim the cream on my other hand because the target kept moving around uncontrollably. Then spreading it on the gash almost made my hands weak, because I was touching it, and the compulsions...
The last thing to do was to wrap it with a new bandage. Tearing it was easier because my tears had wetted the paper so much. Finally, I got the gash covered.
The itch-pain subsided almost immediately. And the tears just stopped. Control had returned to me like a snap. I wiped my tears and quietly stored the bag. I waited until my throat didn't sound thick with tears and washed my face. I went downstairs and asked, "The fuck did I miss?"
It felt so long. But it was only 10 minutes at most.
Even now, talking about it made my thumb itch a little. Man, the only thing I'm proud of is that I did manage to dress the wound despite all that weird shit over a non-bleeding gash. Nani the fuck?!
THE END! Hope you enjoyed this long read!
P.S. I'm fine now, yea? Don't worry! It's all healed up! See? I can be pathetic too!
#a piece to the rubble#people please reblog the original ask game so I can haunt your ask box with an ask#thank you very much#π-ting!

Interview with narrator Rebecca Ferguson
Q. What made you want to be part of this series?
I was brought up having a magical connection to nature. When later introduced to the world of BBC wildlife programmes it brought back so much nostalgia. Being asked to be part of this series therefore was a huge honour for me.
Q. Tell us a bit about growing up in Scandinavia.
When I was growing up, I always wanted to go exploring in the woods and become one of my favourite childhoods characters Ronja from stories by Astrid Lindgren. She was a true representation of Swedish and Scandinavian nature. I also loved to do another tradition of picking wild strawberries and threading them through strains of straw.
Q. Tell us about your personal passion for Scandinavia
It’s Raw and wild. It’s Pinecones, mushroom picking, cold, mythical mysterious. So many tales and stories come from the world of Scandinavia.
Q. Describe any personal experiences you’ve had with wildlife in Scandinavia
It’s hard not to have connections with nature. For me it’s about feeling connected to it and being a part of it daily. I was brought up in Stockholm then moved to the south of Sweden to a remote fishing village, meaning I got to explore such drastic difference in environments and temperatures.
Q. Were there any standout or memorable sequences in the series for you?
Being a part of the whole story and seeing things that I would have never got the opportunity to see was such a treat. It brings me as close to it as possible. It’s so unusual to see it all first-hand and I got to be part of it adding my narrative which was magical. As an ocean lover, I particularly enjoyed the reproductive process of the synchronised star fish and watching the sea cucumbers feed on the algae and plankton from the seabeds.
Q. Did you learn anything new about Scandinavia that you didn’t know before narrating the series?
Yes! I couldn’t believe that they are still preserving fish the same way we did in the Viking times! It was fascinating to see that process.
Q. What do you believe is so captivating about this region?
The Landscape is the main characteristic, it’s sharp and harsh and the animals have had to learn to shape to their environment. The extreme difference between the North of Sweden with its angular landscapes to the south of Sweden with its rolling hillsides, orchards and apple trees.
Q. Do you have a favourite species from the series and why?
Yes! The White-Tailed Sea Eagle is my favourite species from the series. They are so majestic flying through the air. Their hunting skills of catching the fish is like watching a thrilling chase scene from a movie! It’s so highly skilled and chaotic at the same time.
Q. What do you hope viewers will take away from watching Wild Scandinavia?
I hope that they it will Learn about new environments and that it opens up their eyes to the beauty of this region. How different it is. Why it’s so different. How the people have had to adapt to the environment. The extremes of the seasonal weather and landscapes. I hope it makes people want to visit and to nurture and to care for our world even more.
Interview with Series Producer, Tuppence Stone
Q. What do you think Rebecca Ferguson brings to the series, as the narrator?
We were very keen to have such a strong female role model to voice Wild Scandinavia. With her roles in Mission Impossible and Dune, it is great to collaborate with such an international star. Rebecca is Anglo Swedish, so was a perfect choice – with her intimate knowledge of Scandinavia and fluent Swedish the mythology and names included in the script felt so natural when she delivered them. She added an important authenticity to the series, building on our decision to work with the brilliant Icelandic composer – Biggi Hilmars, so that our views feel totally immersed in the Scandinavia wilderness.
