So the "Juju Arch" is the portal, which was previously called a "Skaian Artifact". Presumably put there by the same person giving Calliope the dreams. I'm guessing it's GC-related, but it could also be Skaia itself. Homestuck 1 kind of forgot about Skaia as an antagonistic force.

Kind of feel bad for the omega kids, cause god they suffer the most from 2's bad or off plot beats. Like everyone knows they're supposed to be the true players of Dirk's session, and yet we barely have a connection to any of them. So far they just exist to elevate the old characters (who don't need it due to being from fucking Homestuck), instead of being truly symbiotic and lifting each other up.

Like seriously, Vriska gassing up Vrissy during the hell vn is the most unserious thing possible, given how she only knew her for a day, constantly shat talk her and her timeline, and that the only plot that Vrissy has atm is being a mirror for Vriska so that the 8itch can grow. This is also why Harry is the best, between John not narratively smothering him, and also the fact that he got an update to himself and the other omegas.

They aren't even close of friends like we see with Beta and Alpha Kids. Part of me thinks that Vrissy, Tavros, and Yiffany are children with a theme of messed up love, was the original common connection they have within the Candy Timeline and the basis of them joining together at all. Not just being successors to the previous players. Vrissy named after Kanaya's crush. Tavros being spawned with Jake during a poly relationship with Gamzee. And Yiffany being born of a secret affair. Only Harry seems to be the outlier since he was born out of genuine love. Probably a parallel to how John was the error when he had changed his chumhandle for the Sburb coding. But even then, it is questionable due to the divorce and John talking Terezi during it all. People assume that Vriska going through the VN hell is going to help validate the Candy Timeline. But what is there to approve of about Candy Timeline? Where Jane raped Jake, Dave leaving his wife, Rose cheating on Kanaya.... what is there to say the Candy Timeline is okay to continue on and not erase?!

uuh i haven't thought about this before um. Well i doubt the kids would even have classpects since there's no sburb in existence for them to play, so they wouldn't have a reason to be cosmically attached to a God tittle, but whatever

harry makes costumes, puts together looks, takes part in plays, in essence he Creates. I would've gone for Mage of void but theater is a group effort so i assume he'd be a team player. he sees the potential in the nothing etc etc,

vrissy doesn't seem to like vriska an awful lot, so while i wanna tie her down to the light aspect in accordance with Aranea and Vriskas godtiers, i doubt she'd like this fate. So a prince she is, she wouldn't care for the luck for the lore for the truth, she just wants to do her own thing and maybe destroy someone/something

im making tavros a bard because i think if they'd actually give them classpects he would be a bard in awful irony, being made fun of by the universe etc, and he's not really hopeful to me so

yiffy has been in hiding all her life, she's had no place to fit in no house that feels like a home, she lacks space. But, i do think her story will have a happy ending, so in maid fashion she'll find her space. Space players are also lonely COUGH

Well I uh... wasn't expecting that route to be taken. Could go either way on the scales, but I'm not really expecting this to amount to much. In fact, I'd kinda be pissed if this was the route taken for this drama arc. I mean it could either be Just due to 10-15 years worth of karma, or Heroic for keeping the shield up and holding down the fort. Either way, it would rob us of a truly satisfying end to this character arc.

That is if the intent is to slowly take the focus away from the parents to the Omega Kids (when did this term get coin'd?) for future acts. Thus not making this a story about kicking the respective asses of Jane, Ult. Dirk, and possibly Al, but more about the Omega Kids and whatever species Ult. Dirk is cooking having their own Sburb sessions, and making a universe and world that is at least better than whatever the fuck Earth C was.

At least that's what it's looking like rn. If that's the case, then idk if June is gonna become a thing. Characters are dropping like flies, and by the rules of Sburb, all guardians of the players have to die off (WITH ONE EXCEPTION). This is kind of a mixed bag for me, not gonna lie. Guess we'll see whatever in January.

Been reading Umineko When They Cry thus far, so that brainrot may carry me til then. Maybe I'll try Vast Error. Actually should I read Vast Error? Your thoughts are appreciated.

I'm having a "think about the omega kids" kind of day so I figured I'd ask: What are your thoughts on the kids in candy timeline?

GOD the answer 2 this is late yet again.... been having so many thoughts about everything all the time i simply cannot keep up BUT I RLY WANTED TO ANSWER THIS BECAUSE I LOVE THE CANDY TIMELINE KIDS!! I think they're overall really interesting characters to add to the story, and while the epilogues do have their Problems, I do love the omega kids and i hope the new hs:bc writers take them in an interesting way. i think they were a great addition to the candy timeline. they make it feel more like homestuck, you know?

because like. ok. lemme explain real quick. Homestuck was a story about growing up. it started with these kids who were just entering teenagehood and had no idea what they were doing. they struggled, they learned, and they grew!!! Homestuck 2 and the epililogues would have been worse if it didn't have any kids in it. The epilogues kind of split Homestuck's theme of growing up into two: Meat has the childish villain, the one who's too stubborn to see past his own faults, (and Ult!Dirk is especially interesting to me because he was a protagonist of hs canon and is now an antagonist, and in his mind he never left Sburb and has barely grown up at all let's be real but ANYWAY), and the stories of kids who are growing up and still have so much left to learn. AGH i could talk about the themes of growing up in homestuck for ages but ANYWAY

BASICALLY: i really like the omega kids overall, they all have such fun personalities and dynamics with each other, and i think if hs:bc in the candy timeline veers its focus a little more towards the kids, it could make it feel more like homestuck, you know? i want a bunch of teens struggling through interpersonal issues and drama and trying to survive while the world ends please!!!

What? Homestuck updated? I get that 11-11 is an arc number (even if it's by far the least important one), but I thought we were on hiatus to work on the big [S] page?

Anyway, Tavvy left a message. That's some fancy handwriting. It's also quite possibly the first written message in the history of Homestuck that's 100% grammatically correct normal English, with Tavvy dropping his comma quirk entirely. Also everyone involved here has cell phones and Tavvy is writing them a letter by hand. He's also leaving snacks for the other kids and telling them to eat the raisins.

It's very parental. Bit interesting that Tavvy, who has had the worst upbringing in a comic about abused children, is the best dad. Tavvy in general is a bit of an enigma, all we really know about him is that he has latent anger issues, presents as a total geed, and is apparently a Man Of Action in disguise.

A universe with a "game". GC was Terezi's tag originally, but this character is using a purplish #8E5594 font color instead of teal. That hex doesn't match Eridan (6a006a) or Feferi (77003c), so it's not a troll blood color despite the grey (clawed) hands. Perhaps she's in the DirkRose session? The original TC was Gamzee (terminallyCapricious), but I think these characters will be nothing like their handles imply, even as GC and AG are friends.

I'm saying we need something, literally anything else in general. Like its the same reason why I'm not excited about the prospect of the omegas playing Dirk's game of sburb. Cause you know they're not going to deal with the early/mid game, no we're going to jump straight to godtier and beyond stuff that has been stagnant for a long while.

They probably would skip everything like the quests, unique quests, and alchemizing and head straight to the kids killing themselves and becoming gods. Which probably says something if they do that lol All the interesting stuff that lead to it happened OFFSCREEN.
