anyways here are some doodles of gem and fwhip as kids in my grimlands-edwardian-steampunk-au-headcanon-thing :3 its also vaguely goth. its nothing about mourning or anything its just black is the most predominant colour in grimmish fashion. maybe white is their mourning colour because it implies youve taken a step back from your work to mourn (since grimlands society is very based around manual labour type jobs or something idk)

I Miss Him.

a good while ago i drew some of my ocs in the mcyteu on these big ol draft horse unicorns, and i felt like they deeded some more love, since ive not really included unicorns anywhere else (mostly because. you know. they're not a minecraft mob. but still) so ive decided fwhip has one now. i havent watched his series in foreeverr so i don't remember if he has a horse but i think? he does? so whatever that guy is a unicorn now 👍

i think it would be funny if grian usually has parrot wings but when he puts on the permit office uniform it switches to sparrow/some other english garden bird, just to be extra like. boring. bonus points if the bird isn't native to any other country hermits are from so its like super boring to him but super exotic to them

the pain and suffering of massively developing mezelea's culture in your own headcanons and basing it off of a variety of african and south asian cultures, and then having to somehow incorporate the canonical very western based jizzie wedding. i mean yeah ofc it makes sense for the ccs/actual canon to do it that way but MY HEADCANONS

you know? i think maybe they have more than one ceremony, the way a lot of irl couples from different cultures do, so maybe the more 'western' style one that takes place in mythland church is for the emperors bc idk its probably an ancient tradition for all emperors to be present for the joining of two? and then they each have a ceremony honouring their own cultures in their own empires. if that makes sense.

the bad boys statue in cleos new video got me Thinking about winged characters on motorcycles,, i think i have it though, theres like a strap on the side of the bike kinda like a seatbelt but just for the wings. yk because with that much wind resistance i think if they didnt tie down their wings they would just fly away lmaoo

Thinking about joels clones again.. do you think he can use his soul magic (sorry joel its not magic) to transfer his soul to any statue not just his clones.. imagine another hermit finding joels body collapsed at the base of one of his statues in his base and freaking out because he just decided to transfer his soul into it and go walkabouts... do you think the clone slash statue has to look like him.. just wandering round as the lizzie statue in his base nbd

hm i think after the rapture joel only tried to use his soul magic (not magic, according to him) once, in esmp s2, where he used the last of his clay he took from mezeleas stores during the rapture to create 'god joel', and never again because he was so worried that it wouldn't work (not that he told anyone that). until he joined hermitcraft and began sculpting again at last. thats his armour stand dabbling hehe. maybe soon he'll start experimenting on transferring his soul to his new sculptures. they're not mezelean clay clones but maybe they'll work :33

hi mezelean marriage tradition dictates that the couple weaves each other necklaces from young branches of the mother tree that she only allows you to have if she approves of your marriage (as in, she somehow makes the branches fall off on their own because. magic religeon tree). mezelean culture strongly values craftsmanship and so making your future spouse a piece of jewellery they're expected to wear near constantly (similar to a wedding ring) is like the ultimate sign of devotion. depending on the people engagement can last anywhere from days to years, since [traditionally] it begins when the mother tree gifts them the branches and ends when the people getting married have both/all (realised in making this post i dont have to make monogamy the norm, W) completed their necklaces. this is when the ceremony takes place. i havent gotten a lot about the ceremony down yet but i know it involves a lot of dancing, very upbeat and fast paced fun dancing.

Joel and Lizzie had three ceremonies, a traditional ocean empire wedding, a traditional mezelean wedding, and a more 'standard' wedding, yk the type most widely known across servers ig. that one was for all the rulers to attend and probably also paparazzi. much more of an official affair than the other two that are much more about their cultures and celebration

hi im not over wra so in my mcyteu they're canon siblings. anyways fwhip and gem are identical twins but actually they arent, because fwhip is a changeling that mimics gem's appearance. i stole this from my favourite fic of all time ill link it in a sec. gem is transfem becausee identical twins. ignore the fae thing shes trans. when she first came out to her brothers (fwhip and sausage) they immediately promise her to grow out their hair too so their parents think theyve just decided to be strange kids not that its gender related
