sooo a lot of confusing things happened.

Hi!! You're free to ignore this if it doesn't interest you ofc but I wanted to talk a bit about the "Aventurine racism" thing. It's mostly people not reading things right and misinterpreting things (as always.)

Aventurine is said to be Sigonian, a race known for being untrustworthy. Now, "Sigonian" is not a reference to any real place or community, in any language. It's entirely made up and exists only within the honkai universe. The reason people started speculating that he is Romani is because he calls himself "Avgin", which the game translates as "honey", and "Avgin" is indeed the romani word for "honey". This, of course, doesn't prove he's Romani or based on any Romani culture at all, but people took it and ran with it.

Ratio called him "Sigonian thrall" and, since Romani people have suffered a lot with slavery, people started freaking out. The thing is, Aventurine is a slave, but it has nothing to do with any Romani inspiration or traits he might have. Aventurine is a slave because he works for the IPC, and a good majority of IPC workers are enslaved to the IPC. He's not even the first character to be shown to have a branding mark. Topaz, who I didn't see anyone complaining about, is also enslaved to the IPC and has the same marking on her neck.

It should also be noted that although both Sparkle and Ratio were racist towards Aventurine, the "race" being discriminated against is entirely fictional and not meant to represent any real ethnicity or culture. We should keep in mind that the story is set in a magical universe, and we have nearly no information on Sigonians or Sigonia-IV.

Personally - and this is just my own theory/interpretation - I don't think Ratio was being racist at all. Judging by how the IPC operates, Sigonia-IV has most likely been destroyed or suffered a great disaster, so his claim of Aventurine being a "Sigonian thrall" could've been just a mention to how he has nowhere to run from the IPC, since his home world is gone. Also, Sparkle is just mean, and not really a trustworthy source of information - her comment on Sigonians being notoriously untrustworthy could be her own personal opinion rather than fact (of course, we don't have enough information on this to claim that it's just her opinion, nor that it isn't.).

Ok so this acc was not made for me to make posts but I think it's needed for me talk about this whole Ni-ki smut situation.

I think it's more of a rich/class privilege bc regardless of race/ethnicity this is very typical for people who are well off. I'm not american but I was told that were he is from is a pretty well off community which means he already grew up in a bubble and with Hollywood that bubble became even bigger. This dude never worked a real job of course he's out of touch. He didn't even have to do the struggling actor part (those actors are usually much more humble bc they know how hard everything can be) bc mommy and daddy took care of everything. He only did some modeling to have pocket money.

What the hell do people expect from someone like that? He's in no position to say anything bc he made it clear it's not genuine. Even back when I thought he had some principles I always found the comparison between him and Steve/Cap ridiculous bc Steve is an ideal of what humans could be but considering how humans are he's just that an ideal. Evans is the wrong person to be put into that role. A rich man who's been well of his entire life will never know the struggles of the average person so I really don't get why people would want to hear/see empty words/gestures from him.

I do agree that the infantilizing of him needs to stop. it's always been ridiculous with how much people are babying him but the older he gets the worse and more embarrasing it is. So I decided to commit to my current partner a couple of weeks ago. It's been great.

But I also had to turn down another guy. We met through a dating app and went on a couple of dates, but then my partner came out of nowhere, and we just clicked. I decided to let the dating app guy know bc transparency is important (at least to me), and I just felt a spark and safety with my current partner. Whereas, I didn't feel like I could be entirely honest with the dating app guy.

Anyway so I reach out to dating app guy and let him know, letting him down as gentle as possible, and he responds with, "whatever. Thanks for wasting my time. Btw, you're a huge racist."

But dating app guy didn't seem to be bothered when I talked about anti racism, decolonization theory, or the activism I do when we went on dates? Like that's so weird. And all those vibes I felt about not feeling entirely safe of telling him about myself turned out right.

I'm so glad I chose Jacob. At least he can handle anti racism/decolonization theory talks and the work I do with my activism.

But talk about being unable to handle rejection. Also, there seems to be some sort of inferiority complex. Ugh. All the white tears.

Being a woman of color, specifically an indigenous woman, this kind of dynamic exists and needs to be spoken about with, specifically, white men. It's a safety thing. If they don't get it, then they're not safe.

It can make dating kind of hard actually and I live in a conservative white province. Finding an open minded man like Jacob is a blessing but holy, dealing w a hundred other dudes like the dating app guy is such a shitty feeling. I felt shitty like the work I do is wrong. Like I shouldn't be proud to be indigenous after all the healing work I've done.

My Personal Ranking of the MazM Games

Lawd im going insane so. Making this ranking. Excluding Yellow Bricks of course. Keep in mind this will not inherently judge the quality of the games moreso my enjoyment so feel free to disagree :) i would love to hear everyones opinions

HYDE AND SEEK SWEEP!!!

Imo theres nothing wrong with HNS (a lie there probably is but shhh). The characters are solid, the plot can fall a little flat at times but MazM said they prioritized making memorable characters more as they can be taken out of the story and used in multiple re-imaginings. They were pretty successful in doing just that. If we didn't have hns we wouldn't have Alan... mai waifu...

Kate is a good protagonist! She's a smartass and an absolute hothead but a load of fun. Pollie is literally a sopping wet meow meow tumblr would love her if HNS was actually popular. I don't think you guys need to know my opinion on Alan (beautiful gorgeous all that is good in the world). Mihir is good South Asian representation:) hes witty and sympathetic. Shoutout to Crack for actually making him look South Asian... so real for that. Bishop is an amazing antagonist like holy shit it may just be my bias but idk she got me tweaking. Of course you got the OG characters like Jekyll and Hyde, although I must admit Jekyll was fucking tweaking lawd that wasn't Jekyll that was his evil brother Jackson.

Art is really good too! Crack was working solo on this project and their art is soooo good, not Maha's painted style but it definitely works for the setting. The watercolor makes sure its not visually boring. The gameplays really fun! If a bit difficult, but I managed to finish the game 3 days after release. It's refreshing after the previous interactive book style games we had before. Honestly I'd reccomend it to any new MazMians and it's very easy to get into :) It's like MazM's tribute to JNH which made them popular in the first place.

2. It's Pechka time. Pechkas all over the place.

Ok ok so. I'd actually say Pechka is a masterpiece. Like literally nothing wrong with it story/characterwise. The story isn't as weak as HNS and it takes itself a lot more seriously. It is MazMs first historical game and it is really educational! Korean rebellion in Russia is a very interesting topic to explore. I didn't even know about it till I played this game.

It was their passion project, it's clear they were very excited to share a story that dealt with their culture so personally. The love shows through the research and dedication they put into it. The characters are sos so so gooood like. Back when I was smaller, I used to scoff at Pyotr for being selfish but. Nowadays hes my poor meow meow malewife. He'd do rounds on tumblr if he was popular. Asya too theyre literally the malewife girlboss dynamic. Pyotr and Asyas relationship is so fucking complicated but lawd they compliment each other perfectly. Daejin, Lizaveta, and Kyuhan have such a sweet story together and just. Aughhhhh.

The art done by Maha and Crack is interesting. The art style uses hatching and it's more simplistic compared to the painted art styles of prior. They primarily focused on making sure the characters actually looked ethnic Korean. The colors assigned to each characters omg... I LOVE WHEN CHARACTERS HAVE A SIGNATURE COLOD THAT REPRESENTS THEM TO A T! The CG cards at the end though... THERES NO HAPPY ENDINGS!!! Some are more bittersweet/neutral. But I think the CG cards do have a wide range of emotions and effectively carry the endings well.

The only problem of this game is the coins which makes it rlly tedious. Pechka is a bit slow burn, so the fact you can only play 2 eps a day is a bit... of a drag. Theres like 10 endings and no log to keep track of what dialouge youve gone through. Like i get you cant replay it without replaying the entire story bc of the endings system unlike jnh or poto or hns but at the very least i wish there was a log to keep track. The footnotes too like, we cant even replay induvidual episodes to find more footnotes which is a bit infurating. It follows the interactive book style of the previous games but the 10 endings give it a new twist.

But yeah on a technical level i might rate it the same level if not higher than hns. Just with hns i found more enjoyment and not many faults :)

3. Thy Creature,,,

Lawd I think you all know how I feel abt Thy Creature. But I'll break it down. Early access Thy Creature had so much potential to be a modern masterpiece it's actually unreal. It was doing something new by being a midquel game rather than prequel/sequel/1 to 1 adaptation. The idea of the bosses representing concepts and characters is genius. They messed up once they realized they didn't have enough time to do all they could n its a shame. I wish it could've gotten delayed just so the writing would be baked properly. Story is a lost cause </3 With characters, the characters are good! However. In the new version, EA characters such as Noah, Justine, and Creature, have been character assasinated. Noah got away just barely because his new iteration is not all bad, Justine's character stayed relatively the same however her feelings towards the Creature have been tampered quite a bit. A lot of the Creature's moral dilemmas are stripped away and it is far more emotionless in the new version which SUCKS. Noah and the Creature had such an interesting dynamic in the early version and it had been removed in the final cut </3.

Character motivations have been completely hidden as the new memory system doesn't give them induvidual reactions to memories which SUCKS. Like. Noah lashed out at the Creature because he realized he had forgotten about his beloved orphanage. YOU DON'T GET THAT IN THE NEW VERSION </3333. They made 701 eviller rather than sympathetic in the final version too </3 The characters that were introduced in the final version are just fine though, perhaps because we didn't lose anything, only gained. Leon is a ray of sunshine, Hanna is a milf, Alex is a badass, Ben is sympathetic etc etc They're like a family :) The boss battles r so cool too... Only gripe is EL is a fascinating character and died too soon to feel attachment to.

The art is fucking gorgeous, Maha primarily worked on the art until Crack finishsd HNS and joined 6 months before release. Unfortunately this is the last MazM game the two worked on as they have left the company due to overwork. Their art is practically one of the lead contributions to why people like MazM so much. Thy Creature is beautiful. I like the earlier concepts better with the sketchy/horror aspects, but the new polished art is just as good. The bullet hell gameplay is a neat mechanic! If only it weren't so hard :(((. In demo traliers there was a concept for having text slide across the screen and scenes playing out during the bullet hell. The bullets would be words and you as a player would have to pay attention to the story thats playing out while dodging, which is a fascinating concept too! But, that sort of thing would be very difficult for certain disabilities and just in general hard to deal with, so I understand why they removed it.

This game was not meant to educate like Pechka, but rather be moving. There are no footnotes like the other game which is fine like it is its own thing. I still think it's a lot of fun. Team MazM put their heart in it just like they did with Pechka, it's worth a try if one likes bullet hells :).

4. Phantom of the Opera let's go!!! 🌊🐴 juan

Lawd you guys know how I feel abt it too. But I'll break it down. Story for the first half is book accurate but the second... The changes are uhm. A decision alright. Not a good one but they're there. I did enjoy it a lot but I will admit the quality is a bit meh. It was my first MazM game so there is my bias. Although shoutout to Daroga for going "shut up white boy" to Raoul when he was being a bitch abt SWA. MazM took an anti-racist stance and they are so real for that. The fact they added the Daroga in the first place is good but, they fucking blame him for Erik's actions when whatever Erik did was his own fault??? But also they made Eriks backstory darker and had the audacity to be like. Actually no one hates you for your face Erik lol. Like??? NO???? HE HAS CLEARLY BEEN SUBJECTED TO IMMENSE PERSECUTION FOR LOOKING LIKE THAT HIS TRAUMA ISN'T HIS FAULT??? But I unironically like the episode where they unionize against the shitty managers. First Pay and A Strike is one of the better episodes. They have two endings, one is canon compliant where Raoulstine run away together, and the other is where they go their seperate ways. I think the addition of that second ending is a cool one and brings to mind new opportunities!

For characters, I think the character added to background characters like the dancers and Remy are pretty fun though! The managers are eh tbh like they shouldn't have been that malicious + the accidental racism with Carlotta and Melek. Melek... dear sweet Melek... she is a good character on her own just not in the story she's placed in. Her existence defeats the purpose of the story. She exists as a prop to make Erik look worse which. </3 Erik and Christine are the most butchered characters here like Raoul took their character development. Erik lost all his compassion, becoming a whiny baby. This defeats the purpose in the og book where he shows mercy to Christine by letting her go because she gave him a single act of compassion. The point of POTO was showing compassion and mercy and he just has none of those???? Christine had been reduced to a naive girl that needed to be taught to be strong via Melek. And i know Melek was portrayed as the one in the right and all but they fact they made a brown woman tell a white woman to toughen up leaves a bad taste in my mouth. She shouldn't have been used as a prop like that. I think it's purely accidental how this came off. But yeah Christine in the OG book, she was strong! She told Raoul to piss off many times, her strength was by showing compassion. She threw her fear aside to give a kiss to her captor!!! Raoul here is the best like hands down. I can write an essay for him later but his character development is the best and he is oddly realistic. I think a problem with the og Raoul (reason ppl can't side with him) is the fact his character doesn't translate well through time. Someone made a wonderful post abt og Raoul here! Give it a read it's good. The way MazM translated Raoul is fitting, as he gets far pushier than OG Raoul to some degree, but his development at the end is quite cathartic. They made Raoul sympathetic in another way which could be relatable for some. The OG Raoul was "attractive" because he was willing to give his honod and status away for a lower class woman. MazM Raoul plays with that idea, by placing more pressure on Raoul and making him unhappy with his situation. He is forced by his family to be perfect for them when he is a child at heart. He loves Christine because she is freeing for him. He is a good person, he just lets obsession cloud his judgement. He is the perfect foil to Erik here and just. Yeah I'll get my essay going soon. Not here. Not here.

Art is fucking gorgeous, Maha and Crack worked on it together but IMO Maha takes more prominence with their art style as the painted looks of the cg cards perfectly match the aesthetic. The backgrounds are BEAUTIFUL. The character designs are lovely. Erik is book accurate minus for the color of his mask. He is monstrous and it's awesome. Christine is blonde, just like the book! The starry look of her hair is unusual to people but it's a game, like whatever looks cool yk? It's beautiful she's beautiful. And we can't forget Jimin Raoul. What a look. They were originally gonna make Christine and Raoul both blonde but probably changed hair colors to make sure they didn't look too alike. I think the pink hair does give Raoul the perfect sweet vibes, even if it's a bit outrageous, it's funny and iconic!!! It also puts a nice duality theme between him and Erik, pink and black my beloved. The dancers are cute, love you Jammes. Remy... lawd i want him. The managers look French.

For gameplay, you have the interactive book format, which again isn't too engaging for me, but it's a good casual game and I think good for newcomers as well because the art is appealing. Coin system is meh but tbh better than Pechka. The footnotes are a lot of fun! Interesting stuff to know like. What's in gunpowder, what the fuck is eugenics, etc etc. But it does hilight the footnote system which helps to provide social context and consume in a new light :)

5. Jekyll jekyll hyde jekyll hyde jeky

I don't hate Jekyll and Hyde, it just doesn't capture my interest like the others do. It's not bad at all and one can argue it's better than POTO but. Idk not for me. The story is pretty book accurate with the characters being canon compliant. It's not a bad thing bc POTO was kind of a shitstorm with the changes made, but I don't feel as engaged. Again it's all up to taste. It just feels like MazM didn't bring anything too new to the table which is alright. This is the game that brought MazM to relevance so ofc, it's a special lil guy :)

Art is done solely by Maha but lawd it is GORGEOUS. DILFS FOR DAYS!!! Cg cards are wonderfully composed, sells the atmosphere of the story. Chibis are so silly, it's like Don't Starve.

The gameplay is the interactive book style and uhhh, idk it's okay. Again nothing to write home about. It's a nice game to play on a rainy day :)

Honorable mention: Heartless

I found heartless on qooapp and while I can't play Yellow Bricks, I'll give my 2 cents on heartless.

I have heard the Wizard of Oz games MazM made are quite book accurate. I haven't read Wizard of Oz yet so I can't give my two cents on that. I'll give my two cents on how I felt.

Heartless/Yellow Bricks were MazMs first games. You can definitely tell the influence it has on their other games. How the story is paced etc etc. It's more child-friendly than their later games, but still has quite a bit of grimness to it. After all, it's about the tin man. Maha's art is so so so diff than it is now, YB/Heartless has a far cuter atmosphere where both the sprites and the chibi sprites are both, well, cute. Nicholas... sweet guy </3. Admittedly he does look like a child when he's an adult but they had a vibe to keep up. The witch is a milf. The gameplay is the interactive book style but it leans more into interactive imo. The minigames where you run away are reused in POTO where you run from the flaming skull. But uh in Heartless, YOU RUN AWAY FROM THE AXE THAT'S HACKING AWAY AT NICK. 😟

It's a ministory to explain what's with the tin soldier and oh boy with the short time it had, it pulled at my heart strings and never let go </3. Fun thing. Anyways. The footnotes system don't give any context metawise, just ingame stuff. Which isn't a bad thing as some people are unfamiliar with Wizard of Oz lore so it's good to fill them in on it.

hi don't mean to overwhelm you (or even criticize you personally at all, i appreciate you contributing to the conversation and i'm doing the same) but i think what some people are getting at when we talk about talking publicly about racism in fics is that when it exists in fandom, it ostracizes us from the fandom. and while i do think fandom is a community, it's not (to me at least) a community that supersedes my ethnic/racial communities. preserving a positive fandom space will ultimately be less important to me than criticizing racism. and... to be honest, sometimes i (and a lot of poc) are just seeking to criticize, not educate. dealing with racism is quite literally exhausting and preserving the feelings of those who perpetuate it (even unintentionally!) can be even more exhausting. but like, also, i generally agree with you that most criticisms of bigotry in fics are not always in good faith and like verbally attacking (or the internet equivalent) a fic author doesn't really achieve much. but i do think a lot of us are frustrated, especially in predominantly white fandom spaces, at ignorance constantly being used as a fallback for reprehensible behavior. lmao anyway i'm so not trying to say that You specifically have to have the answer to this--like i don't think anyone has one answer, but i just thought i'd pop in and give my two cents

i get what you mean about feeling ostracized from fandom and how you're not necessarily going to feel like you're in community with a group if they aren't first treating you as like. a member of that community. i've been discussing all this under the premise that the goal is to educate, and so what i've been saying has been centered around what i think is gonna be most effective assuming that goal--obviously, being frustrated with racism + just needing an outlet to criticize is a different situation.

and like...yeah i definitely don't have a perfect answer lol. hopefully i've made it clear in the past couple asks i've answered, but to reiterate: i think it's understandable + valid to just get frustrated when people's ignorance is hurtful. like, regardless of whether it's intentional or ignorant, it still hurts, and i'm not trying to diminish that fact in any way. the point i was making in highlighting the difference between intent + ignorance is just that there's going to be a difference in opportunity for education there--an ignorant person can be educated, an intentionally hateful person usually can't. that doesn't mean it's anyone's job to take on the burden of that education, just that it is a potential avenue to try and fix some of these issues when they do arise. and like i said with the whole two-way street thing, i think this sort of communication is just as dependent on people being called out not falling back on their ignorance as an excuse, even if it's an explanation for why they said/wrote/did whatever.

i think something that might be getting lost in translation slightly with the original post is that like. it was more of a "stop being dicks on the internet" and less "here's a step by step guide on how to address systemic issues like racism," y'know? like, to the extent that i did speak about more serious issues and suggest going to the person first, where i was coming from was anticipating the response from someone who might say "well sometimes there's a valid need to critique fics bc they perpetuate harmful rhetoric!" and going "ok sure if your goal here is to address the harmful rhetoric. then here's how best to do that." and i intentionally included that if going to the fic writer first didn't work then yeah i think it makes sense to post about it publicly, but if the goal is to productively address harmful rhetoric then not in a way that's in bad faith, y'know? in light of the conversation today if i were to remake that post i might modify my language slightly to clarify that going to the fic writer first is not going to be the absolute best option for everybody in 100% of cases, but again, this whole conversation today has not really been the thing that i was trying to address with that post.

so like, if we're looking at things outside that premise of "the goal here is to educate" then. yeah. i mean there's no 100% perfect answer. people getting frustrated with racism and wanting to criticize + vent makes sense, and i do think that the burden in those instances is on the people being critiqued to not immediately get defensive--because getting defensive just creates more frustration, and makes people less likely to go directly to fic writers with issues rather than posting about it publicly, and then the cycle continues, etc. etc. if we want fandom spaces to be a community, then it's not just a situation of "some people are ignorant + others have to educate them"--it's a situation where we should all be trying to educate ourselves independently, while also understanding that none of us are going to get everything perfect + assuming the best in those who do call us out when we fuck up (as in, that they have a valid issue they're bringing to the table and are not just here to humiliate us) while also assuming the best of those we're calling out (as in, they made a mistake out of ignorance and would be open to correcting it if educated). obviously, this is not an ideal world and fandom spaces are not always 100% going to be happy perfect little communities where everyone has the best intentions, and sometimes it is just really fucking frustrating + alienating to see the shit people say. unfortunately i don't have an answer for what the Right or Best thing to do is in those instances; it's gonna be up to each person how they approach + handle it and whether they feel it's possible for them to treat a space like a community if they don't feel they're receiving that same treatment in return.

I don't know how it is to struggle with being one, or will ever know what it feels like, but I can be sure when I say, I do not tolerate picky hypocrites.

He wants to point out Kurumi for 'white washing' Naib? Okay, I get it. Doing the right and moral thing huh? Well then, allow me to point out the things I had experienced during time I spent and lost during the late year of 2020 and the entirely of 2021 - 2022.

Naib was already pale to begin with. Kurumi couldn't white wash him if he was already that color.

After all, even if they wanted to 'white wash' Naib, Netease already beat them to it. Netease is a colorist, racist, offensive, and overall problematic company.

Every single character of theirs has their issues and faults, but this 'white washing' accusation that has fallen on Kurumi's shoulders has weighed heavy enough. They are simply not true and have fallen short.

Kurumi is not a native English speaker. They were confused and anxious while he confronted them. They only had a basic understanding of what he was trying to say. I talked to them and it was never their intention to hurt anybody, especially people who are colored like me.

If he wants to confront someone improperly, it should be me. Not her.

im so excited for christmas! even tho im orthodox so i don't celebrate it now. but my stepdad does so we're gonna cook traditional christmas dinner tonight and it's gonna be lots of fun! also my friend from zurich is here and he suggested to go clubbing tonight and im gonna dress up as santa, im gonna have a beard and everything, it's gonna be great! i hope he's not gonna cancel last minute bc im so hyped for this!!! will post pics to show you guys my costume! 🎅🏻

anyway, yesterday i went shopping with my stepdad for the upcoming christmas dinner and i thought about B quite a lot. bc something is missing from my understanding of the whole situation. explanations such as "it was the age difference" or "you're very different" or "it's his culture" just don't convince me. although sure, many of these factors don't help. (apart for the """cultural difference""" argument bc it comes from my racist father and he can fuck off. like say what you want about B but his ethnicity has nothing to do with any of this.)

so i thought a lot bc it is weird. i was with this dude for 5 and a half years and, as id concluded the other day, i was unhappy all along. was i just so in love for five years that it didn't bother me? why did i stay and not say anything? and if it wasn't love then what was it? why couldn't we make it work for so long, causing me to pack all my belongings and move out all of a sudden without an explanation? so much of it doesn't add up if i think about it. and what's even weirder is that if someone asks me to explain why i left him, i often don't know what to say apart from half-heartedly repeating what everyone around me has been saying like "ohh we weren't compatible". but staying with someone for five and a half years and then moving out is a huge decision. so why can't i explain it, without my explanation not feeling genuine?

i tried to remember how i would feel every time B would do something that frustrated me. my process would be to (1) feel sad/angry/dissatisfied, (2) think about how to tell him about it or attempt to tell him, (3) not find a reason why or a way to explain it and (4) let it go and move on bc, after being unable to find a valuable reason for my frustration, my feelings didn't feel valid. and because this would happen on almost a daily basis, id quickly go through all those 4 steps and move on, never bringing up the things that bothered me.

now, why could i never find a proper way to explain my feelings? i think it all comes down to my superficiality and lack of values. (i don't mean it in a derogatory way. i was a teenager for most of our relationship and due to my lack of life experience, i lacked depth and hadn't had the time to discover my own values. it's all very natural i think.) i had always had difficulty telling right from wrong and forming opinions. and because i function in terms of efficiency, always naturally trying to find my way out of things that require a lot of effort, id never want to put in the effort into digging a little deeper to find the answers. it's much easier to move on and forget, instead of actually going through with trying to understand your feelings. and, when you don't know right from wrong, understanding why you feel a certain way is an even harder task.

B, on the other hand, functions with the carrot and stick method and has issues with empathy. if you don't explicitly tell him what to do and insist on it very harshly, he will continue to do otherwise and not pick up on any possible ques. plus, for most of our relationship, he was in an obsessive episode that i was encouraging by not speaking up. i couldn't tell if his obsession was right or wrong and, again, it was much easier to let it slide than to actively try to find the tools to get him out of it. again, i didn't want to dig deeper and question what was happening bc i never even questioned my superficial approach to life in general.

now the question is, why am i superficial? one of the reasons B thought that our relationship didn't work out is because im hypersensitive. honestly, i believe this hypothesis bc, as B pointed out, i have adhd and it's super common for people with adhd to have sensory processing sensitivity. and plus ive always felt like i perceive everything x100. when i was little i couldn't wait to grow up bc i was a big crier as a kid and i thought it would go away as i got older. but it never went away. i still cry almost every day and often have to hide in the bathroom at social events bc something makes me want to cry lol. hot girlies have SPS, okay? when lana said "pretty when you cry", she was talking about us hypersensitive girlies.

but anyway, isn't it a bit contradictory that im superficial and let everything slide and yet im super sensitive? well, i think it makes a lot of sense. since i experience everything x100, it's hard to tell right from wrong bc it's all just too much. and bc i cry for no reason, when i cry for a reason, i can't tell which situation is more important. hence, i just want to avoid any kind of sensitive situation and that's also why i refuse to dig deeper and have a less superficial understanding of things.

anyway, the last time i thought this much about myself was when i was like 13 lol. so far ive done 2 days of self analysis and it did help me answer a lot of questions about me and B. and now i feel a bit more at peace. and, sure, now that i reread it all it does come off as a bit cringe at times. like i don't want to come off as if i think im special or anything. and it was just a bad/mediocre relationship and it's not that deep after all. but im glad im finally evolving and thinking and analysing, it helps me grow. merry christmas xoxo 💋

The numbers don't equal quality. Certain things appeal to people more, like shorter stories, straight up smut, Joel Miller gets way more than when I write Marc. I think one of my best works was my Marc X Jewish!Reader series, Seattle, but it idnt get anywhere really even at the height of moon knight popularity bc people dont read OC's esp ethnic oc's. Put your heart into it and those who enjoy it will enjoy it. I had a William Miller series that averaged like 8-20 notes per chapter but I had a handful of readers I knew adored it and thats what mattered

Yes, it's hard sometimes to break it. It took a few months for me to get into the Oscar Issac writer circles, and then when I started writing Pedro it took a while too but I always reblogged and tried to communicate and I made friends. It's kinda annoying to me bc Im bad at it but aesthetics help. Title, a picture to catch eyes, summary, warnings, note. Try to make it look nice. Im really had at this LMFAOOOOOO. My lovely friends have made my best looking banners. If you have graphic design skills, use them! i wish i didn't have to but it does help catch readers when you have an interesting headers and everything looks pretty.

Few technicals. Use the readmore option. No one wants to reblog a LOOOOOONG story and clog up the feeds. Use as many correct tags as you can. Tag any triggering content. And I'm the worst at this but proof read. Im bad at proof reading, everyone who reads my work knows spelling, grammar, wrong words are a common issue I have bc Im bad at typing. When I still had word on my laptop I started typing in word and using text to speach to help me catch stuff!

Keep at it! IDK where you know my work, weather moon knight, triple frontier or tlou or whatever but all those fandoms right now are like.... a little less active. So don't be dissapointed if it takes a while. With TLOU, theres SOOOOOOO many amazing writers. With Moon Knight theres just less buzz rn. If you write for lesser known characters like Llewyn Davis or Will Miller, you probs won't reach the notes of established writers in Joel Miller. Just the reality. the point is keep going, find what you like and what gets people excited and go from there

This is the most important. Write what you want. I mean it. I love writing Will Miller because he's my special man <3 even though it's a small fanbase. My series Rooms On Fire, a lot have lost interest bc its a long series. That's okay! I love the series and it makes me happy to write it. I wrote a few Miguel O'Hara stories because, I'm being honest here, I wanted to capitalize on the hype. Guess what? They weren't good. I'm not proud of them. Since then, I write what Im inspired to.

Hey Anon! My day has been swell. It's a shame when there's a little bump in an otherwise great group, I totally get feeling conflicted when a plot ends up a little.. fumbled. But, that's one HECK of a TDLR! There's so much to unpack there. This sure sounds convoluted but If the attack was genuinely due to a religious affiliation, that is by definition a hate crime. So unfortunately, if what anon here is telling is the truth- Staff of this unnamed group, please acknowledge that it is exactly what it says on the tin! This is fiction and ultimately the best way to work through the aforementioned 'issues' with the prison system is just to do research. Not every prison is the US's, and punishments are not exclusive to prison establishments. I will also reiterate that this is fiction and part of the fun is doing stuff that isn't in our real life world (for example, talking cats!) Forcing everyone to be friends and to silence them for calling it out as it is is certainly a choice. Conflict is part of what makes warrior cats good, but it's important for everyone to be comfortable too. Which, if the person whose character hatecrimed left, it's likely because they didn't feel comfortable being in the group anymore because of the usage of the term around them. Obviously, however, actions do tend to have consequences (unless you're here, i suppose? I'll go to rehab for my opinions ) and this is why it is important to discuss matters like this prior to roleplaying them out. That way this could've easily been avoided. As a response to the final line, this is very close to the warning in my submissions in which something is pointed at someone specific. Please refrain from pointed outbursts to individuals.

It was good and I think so?? It was me, him, my brother, and 3 of their friends, and tell me why as soon as Gary showed up my brother shouted his name and then he called me and was like look Gary's here like sir why are you exposing me while not knowing you're exposing me. He sat next to me and we were talking about our winter breaks and all kinds of random things like high school, I think bc he asked me what classes I was taking and I said it's an ethnic studies class and he thought I said meth studies lmao and then ironic enough somebody I went to high school with interrupted us bc they recognized me so we were talking and when I was done I turned back to him and I said sorry and that I went to high school with that guy and Gary was like that's funny cause he's hung out here for a while and he never noticed you until now and you've hung out her for a while too.
