After about a year of planning, I am leaving this month for Australia to attend my first artist residency 🎉

I've been getting new prints ready for the next market season once I return ~ 10 new prints are now live on my store as well as discounted test prints with slight color variations. (8.5x11" only at the moment). A handful of additional prints from past 2023 print sales are also up.

*One week left to order, as I won't be able to fulfill any orders placed after January 12th until mid-March.*

I greatly appreciate any and all sales as they'll help cover basic living expenses while I am at the Cannery Arts Centre 🐟

My show, "I'll See You In Everything" will be my first time sharing so much of my work out in the world at once. Welcome to my city (part 1)

Ok, so I am going to have to do this in 4 parts.  😂Maybe 5.

I grew up in Framingham, MA, which is known for the Framingham Heart study. I actually learned nothing about this growing up.  Wikipedia tells me: “The Framingham Heart Study is a long-term, ongoing cardiovascular cohort study on residents of the town of Framingham, Massachusetts. The study began in 1948 with 5,209 adult subjects from Framingham, and is now on its third generation of participants.[1] “

Framingham used to be the largest town in MA, but recently it has been incorporated into a city and now has a mayor.

Framingham is also known for the old Shopper’s World.

I have fond memories of wandering about the mall as a teenager.  It was also home of the old Jordan Marsh.  The mall certainly had character.

Now it’s just a big strip mall.  😞

Growing up, I attended Framingham North High School, before they merged the high schools my junior year.  (And I can’t seem to find any photos- not that it looked any different when we merged, just more crowded.  My graduating class had 515 students.

It is about 20 miles from Boston, and if you are running the Boston Marathon, you’ll run through the centre of Framingham.

There is plenty of shopping, as I mentioned before.  However, most of the town, er city, is made up of housing for commuters into the Boston metro area (and Worcester I suppose as well.)  I grew up in the area you’d call Saxonville or Nobscot.  Sort of in the middle.  It doesn’t really mean much at all.  

Framingham also has Framingham State College, which is where Christa McAuliffe attended. She died in the Challenger disaster.  The smaller branch of the Framingham Public Library is named after her now.

Framingham isn’t all that terribly exciting, if I’m honest.  😂
